Summary
Mark Koernke opened the August 25, 2008 morning broadcast with announcements about upcoming events including a 25th annual steam and alternative energy vehicle gathering (August 30–September 1), a tactical operation on September 27–28, and the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot on October 11–12. He made an urgent appeal for listener donations to keep the Micro Effect Network operational, explaining rising costs and financial strain. The bulk of the episode focused on Koernke's critique of government overreach, particularly the transformation of local law enforcement from community-based peace officers into a militarized police state, and his commentary on highway speed limits, vehicle design, and consumer economics—arguing that Americans should buy used vehicles and maintain them rather than purchase new cars, and that the interstate system was engineered for speeds of 90–110 mph rather than the 55 mph limit imposed during the 1970s energy crisis.

He took off his three cornered hat. Speaking loaded, he said. We fought a revolution to secure our liberty. Wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyrants. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free, brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. And this the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. It's the start of business or to build a place for one. On the land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press. And you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken us. You've given government control. Those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family. farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail harass your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oath they've sworn and your daughters is a doctor so their children will be. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to fear, be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God-given right. My Ooki vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, but we have ourselves to blame. Or even now as tyrants trample each god-given right. We only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave? The closer to victory story is South Southwest Tech Network in the morning. It is a beautiful morning here and you're also hearing this on AM and FM mic technologies both easy as I said and blue. weather coming out of the north. If you look at Michigan, we're right about in the middle bottom of the state, near a place called Ann Arbor. That you can always find at the University of Michigan, you know, Moscow on the Huron. It's more like, you know, the communists have all moved to New York, more like New York, California on the communist south, both of our hands and on one little pinky, working weather outside, and that's been the extent of our summer. Global cooling warming is opposed to global cooling. Anyway, it has been a beautiful day. We've got a bunch of stuff coming up this next weekend and through the next couple months. So we're going to meet in time and places. Y'all get your pen ready. In the meantime, it is time for the different country on the west side. And we are some strange exotic weather all over. Y'all got to get up though. If you're way out there, then oh, come on, get out of there. And mussels or little puppies on the floor. There's that nice carpet. There we go. Out of bed to the left. Now I'll turn to the left. out for the doorframe. We're not going to hit it. All the honey do's did come. Java, Ethiopian, Dark Road, the Organic Blends, Larger. Going to work. It's the beginning of the work week here and we are going to stay open. Now remember the basics are applied. Say this is not good for York or the other car that you may have come in contact with. No, avoid that, Stu. You can listen to what you keep your eyes and ears on the mirrors and we ahead of you. Beautiful Monday. By the way, congratulations. Portrait and combat team Colonial Marines had an exercise this weekend combined with the 11th Regimental combat team, Queen Malisha is going to participate in the Michigan Ohio area, but is going to participate in order to know more about that. Jim Monahan, an antique can coming up. See that can make it a great event. Alternate transportation technologies to bear. Cool stuff for sure. Motorbikes, electronic bikes, you name it it's going to be. Remember that was a way to communicate with those other technologies. Guys, we have a radio, there's going to be several radio slash radio campers, radio bands, operation in motion. You'll be able to take a look at some of the and the simple technology that's available. 30th, which will be the set up date. September 1st, there will be steam and gas engines, relay, and other contraptions. There will be swap meet, entertainment. We're going to have the big band or system. Strations, steam-trolled boats, anybody can get on down. As Jim says, let's give America know-how. All affirmative energy vehicles, it's to find out more. If you want to bring something along, and there's a lot of people listening that have already connected with the, you need to get hold of Tom Stockton. is the Buffalo from all the Munchkins Saturday and Sunday Drive. Check out the steam equipment. They've got steam cluster. They had several to be showing up. Check out everything. Board motors to be there. Stuff while he's there. We have several of the examples. You get to learn a little bit because he does certain technologies and works with metals that most peep the time. One more time here for the date. 25th annual. We've been going for 25 years. It doesn't seem like it's 10 a.m. to in fact all the way through the evening because guys through the night. And in a second. By the way, now pay attention here. Attention, attention, attention. You've got your attention. The station needs support. So if anybody, if you're out there listening, you can help to pitch. Joe McNeil has kept the micro effect running, done a fine job with that. Need people as we need to help out with the station there to cover the bills, cover the expenses. Now there's a couple of ways that you can do this. Needless to say, a donation would really send a donation. You can send a PO box. If you want to find out more, give them a call at the bottom of the hour here. We have a number of sponsors. It would help. We So, not to worry, Paul is working on that. He didn't know I didn't have a website, but based on what I'm looking at here, it looks like everybody found us as far as listening. And of course, it's the end of the month. And this whole thing has been a struggle for us since the beginning. It's gone from costing a little bit to costing a little more to costing a lot more to where we're sitting today. And right now we're really getting into a crunch. So for those of you who out there are listening, take what I say seriously. I can tell you that people that have been doing micro broadcasting for the past four or five years, they're starting to have problems here equipment wise, this way, that way. And we all have a little mission to do. But this piece here, the micro effect, is a big part of that mission. And to be perfectly honest with you, a lot of the micro broadcasters have been the ones supporting this network, more so than the listenership, I'm ashamed to say. But now we're going to have to turn to the listening audience for some serious... support. So if you can find a way to send us $50 or $100 here, we don't have a lot of time. It's not that I waited till the last minute. You know, you sit there and you think, oh, it'll come through, it'll happen, it'll happen, it'll happen. Well, at this point, it's not happening. And you know, once you fall behind, once you get far enough behind, believe me, there's no catch it. And I'm going to tell you something else too. I can't hold it together with rubber bands and duct tape and glue. It actually takes funds. So folks, if you want us to remain here, and this is no idle threat, you do what you like. You can always change your channel, go someplace else. There's plenty of them out there, but we'd like to stay, but honestly, we can't stay without your help. And going into the winter months here, things have changed in the past here for the micro effects. So, you know, like I said, our costs went up. Anyway, that's where we're at. So like I said, don't take this lightly. This isn't some network, oh, we need lots of money to buy our sports cars and all this. We're just trying to stay on the table. Right. Don't expect very personal. Ain't nobody living high on the hog. The idea is everything we've got is going in. Everything. So when we operate certain things, it'd be, how do you guys continue? Well, it's very easy. We are efficient. Economy and force. However, you need to supply and support mechanism in place. That's where all you guys come in. a lot of you that are listening right now, if everybody did something, if everybody does something, it will make it. That's right. It makes it, there's, there's God knows how many people out there listening. Cause that's one of the things I've emphasized for years. We've done this over and over again. There's a lot right now, uh, to help other people, uh, that have been up, up with like, uh, like about what, 4 million. If everybody pitched in a dollar, what would happen guys? How many of you are listening out there? It's in the hundreds of thousands to millions. I can assure you this network here runs a whole lot cheaper than some of the other ones people are listening to. Exactly. That's a fact. Yeah, because we're not, again, everything is bareball. Well, it's not bareball. We do what we can by supplying with material, but it's all stuff that's been hand-me-down. Mostly hand-me-down equipment. We have money spent, the key technology that absolutely just has to be bought. And other than that, the problem is you're dealing with services. and those services, they're expecting their funds and they're crunched right now. We know they are. They're because there's a lot of people that are just unplugging from them. We have to stay plugged in. So if you're going to continue to do that, you want to continue to hear the B2C support, we'll pitch in whatever way you can. Again, they're listening to CATS Warning. It is a serious issue, but it is a serious issue and it wouldn't take that much. We've got enough time to get it done, get it out of the way, the way you can. And Joe, the website's not up right now, but you have PayPal, right? Yeah, there's PayPal. You can go through PayPal right on the website. My website is up and there's PayPal over there. Just go to joemcnealive.com and there's a donation button over there. That's another site that's part of all this. It all goes to the same place right here, to the micro effect. Like I said, Paul didn't know why the website was down. He was surprised that it was down. He's over there working on that right now. Just thought I'd make that little announcement soon. Before I get the phone call or the email that I can't receive, hey man, your website is down. We can't find your website. It's not that we didn't pay the bill or we went into dire straits without telling anybody, although we're headed that way. It's just a glitch here this morning. I'm not sure what it is. Very good. Okay, so we'll let everybody know. In fact, before the end of the hour, if it comes up, come back up again and we'll make sure everybody knows. Yeah, I'll do that. Okay. All right, thank you, Mark. Great to do it. Thank you. M-P-O-Box 164 McNeil, M-C-N-E-I-L, 164, Cameo, Idaho, 835, three, six of the month, once a month. This is something I've asked people for years. Once a month. You know, I know it means discipline on your part. Because you got to remember, you know, we'll remind you if you want, but I think there's a lot of things we are going to be covering on the air. But once a month, just pick every can't take your calendar and put a big red circle around a date. On that date, just whatever you want to the way of support through the day, see cooperation. We need to see cooperation. Bad guys or people don't want to say that some people are doing the weezer thing. Hey people, this is a fight. It's a war. It's like it's like the dance of sortuation. It's a punch work. It's one punch works. You've usually fluttered the guy for a bit, pound him down, trying to fight your end only. And this is a very serious one with Blade, Ken from our end. Now we are getting close to the bottom of the hour, so I want to remind you too, a lot of you have been asking, I've got a stack of envelopes here, the inbound, pretty dry guy. A lot of people have been asking about rations. A lot of you have, a lot of you that are old right now have common problem that people have as an issue in the blank with regard to meals like MREs or like other stuff that's prepackaged that's, you know, stored in there. One of the good things about freeze dried stuff is that it's just that's it. You get the corn, there's no cars like preservatives or anything like corn. It's like you get it right out of the people, need, it was pointed out in the ad, need protein on the shelf. This probably is way from 19, not really, like a patch from the freeze dried guy years ago. I've been dealing with him for probably close to years in one form or another. I'll tell you something though, if there's something in the backlog, look to see what he has on the shelf that isn't back. Okay, look for X. Oh, it's not that fancy. If you have a dietary issue with preparedness, the simpler the product, the less likely there's anything in there that's... And you've got to maintain discipline with your diet. If you mention the bottom of the hour and take care of that accordingly, that's answering a whole bunch of people in a roundabout way, which I'm going to do several times during the day here, just in case it's failed. For our friends out in Washington State and in Kansas, so they're listening now, we're high this morning. the letters and remember you're listening to the micro effect in the north morning. Round out your long-term food storage with freeze-dried meat from the freeze-dried guy, providing the finest long-term storage meats. Frozen foods retain fresh flavor, but require uniform low temperature storage conditions. Dehydrated and canned foods are shelf-stable, but high temperature processing degrades flavor, texture, and nutrition. The freeze-drying combines the best of these processes. It preserves freshness, color, and aroma similar to frozen food, while providing shelf stability even if the temperature is not consistent. The freeze-dried guy brings to you foods that taste even better than frozen and can be stored for decades. Once upon a time there was a little tailor, and one day while he was working in his shop, there were some flies buzzing around him, and so he picked up a fly swatter and killed seven of the flies with one blow. When he told someone that he had killed seven with one blow, the story spread, but as rumors will grow, people forgot that the little tailor had only killed seven flies, and so he gained a reputation as a brave giant killer. Then one day a real giant came to the little village, and the people of the village sent the little tailor to face the giant. Though he was very very frightened the little Taylor did not let the giant see this but shouted you had better go away giant for I am the great giant killer who killed seven with one blow and the giant turned around and went away and the town had a big celebration for the Taylor until later that night when the giant came back with eight of his buddies Thank You Story Lady here. A beautiful day here in Michigan right now. A pretty stiff problem this Monday. It is the 25th of this month. They're going to be up there for that. All goes well. We will give you, I'm going to be speaking in Washington. Drag down along. Also the 25th and 20th going to be back down in Austin. One or two still need to get through to the last week. So the Army of Virginia is now pretty well squared away. We hope to have the Carolina by the end with regard to the compacts and all of the other agreements. And with the knob creeps us off, kids. Well, it happens. Alternate communication. The micro stations you're listening to and keep people up to speed to support those might build up another one. You can build up an FM and the thing that changes is it's not that difficult. If you've put together a kit, you can quickly sell the ESSO cell, any really cool technology, and you can have it sitting off to the side. Why? Micro FMs are local broadcasting. This is something that's happening right now with every, it's happening with everything because the ring knockers, the spit swappers, they want everything farther and farther and farther away from you. I was talking about this this weekend, this is kind of three and four from the night before, and you know what? A police officer. Now that doesn't mean a local police officer doesn't need to be once in a while if he does something wrong. But the sheriff's deputies and everybody were supposed to be people in your community that you knew. They were approachable. Okay, actually they were amongst you. In many cases, like Sheriff's Department here in Washtenaw County, sheriff's deputies in most of the counties of the state of Michigan years ago, cars, there was a massive fleet that cost you a Typically what they did is they gave you mileage and guys used their own trucks or their own cars for patrol duty. You might still have that out west in play listening but you know what? This whole country went police state crazy. Oh, gotta have fancier cars, gotta have RoboCop styling on the side, gotta have raid guns, gotta have radar, gotta have, you know, years ago, simple truck, put a couple lights on it, everybody knew that you're getting pulled over, there's a reason. which of course is now the case. There's a whole whack of it. They didn't have injected ticket books. They had a ticket book that usually would last most of the year. And what few tickets they were going to generate were for very unique situations. And one ticket book fit all. Not one of these BS like, well, you got to have one for your traffic violations, and you got to have a special revenue book for your parking tickets, and another special revenue book for other activities. It didn't work that way. Because the whole idea was minimal government. It's a minimal nonsense. It's fascinating, but somebody warned about years ago when I was younger, and you can see it now. Think back if you're old enough. Were you constantly looking in the rearview mirror worrying about whichever BS. I've been lying to try and grab you for some revenue on the highway, which now I call desperation revenue. We have the Canadian Californicator who had the state Well, to pull them flat out, you're going to raise $3 million on the highway or $5 million on the highway. Well, to do this, they had to write a million dollars worth of tickets to cover the overtime and all the fuel. You figure this out. It wasn't that they were going out. Let's make the highway safer. They set them a dollar amount and told their... Have you heard this? Can I challenge anybody to that? If you've been listening to this program for a while, you cover the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence. You know, I'm searching for something because I always have to catch independence in the county. and you think about what they, what, what she created a multitude of new offices and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people. This is what Mark was just talking about. In fact, very overtly. But the sad part is this, and it's not that necessarily, certainly want to go out, but of course some will peace officers, revenuers. You know, I always loved Montana, and I always use this on the air, but Montana was the last state foolish enough to surrender with regard to the highways. And I drove out there, I mean any speed you can imagine, but when you're driving an Electra 225, a 1972 Electra 225, one of our hosts had one, and we're all taking turns driving across Montana, there's some big, long, flat stretches. And you know what? As long as you didn't look like the dukes of hazard flying through the air, buckling the car on the front end, never driving again. You might notice it in the video in the beginning of the bridge, you know, jump the bridge. If that car wasn't going any farther down the road, the footage right up toward the front end buckles. Well as long as you're not doing that, as long as you're not fish tailing all over the road, you want it. Just don't look stupid. Now, even if you did, how many remember that the fine was $20? Does everybody remember this? First time I heard that, they said, well yeah, but if they do pull you over for a spur, you know, you're kind of driving like that. It's a $20 fine. The logic, this is being... Oh, so in other words, what I should do is drive up to the local police officer, give him a $20 bill, and he said, put it on my tab. He can just write it up, use the plate number, and you know, we'll talk later. How's that sound? Good, do that. Again, it's common sense. In other words, everybody realized that the state of Wyoming is no different. The Dakotas are no different. Used to be in all of those states, that's just how things were. I mean, they were intelligent. If you're going to get from point A to point B, your time is worth something. Now, of course, with these inner retentive control freaks, remember back when it was 5 and I'll point something out on that. You know what? We got into this conversation yesterday. I'm going to tweak your nerves on this one. What was supposed to be the operating highway speed for the defense interstate? Now you've got to remember, when I say that, I'll give you a big hint. Remember, Eisenhower, so interstate, defense, high east upon the Autobahn from the 50s on, Pacific Highway Criteria, progressive expansion. And here's another quiz point on this. What was the highway speed supposed to be for the year 2000 upon the original specifications from, now think about this, 50 plus out there now? Well by 1985 we were supposed to have attained a highway speed 85 to 90 of approximately 90 miles per hour as the standard highway speed of the year 2000. Highway speed was supposed to have actually was supposed to be able to. But by 2000 we were supposed to be attaining average highway speeds on the interstates of about 100 to 110 miles per hour. Now, when I bring that up about the 110, because I remember this, I was in engineering years ago and I could still get into that industry, but the whole thing is mostly government sham. The thing is, back in the 70s, that the highways were already built. When you go down an interstate, the average fast track is designed to easily handle traffic at 9 in areas where you have congestion, common sense prevails. Obviously, you're not going to do 100 miles an hour. over traffic that's sitting bumper to bumper. Okay, hello, Daddy. And pretty much everybody else would figure this out. The problem is, and again, in 1975, it was tongue in cheek what they did. The average speed of the highways, easily they can be there to handle 90 to 110 miles per hour. This includes banking, the actual structural surface, all these things were taken into consideration, guys, all of it. There's nothing that is a surprise from the engineer's perspective with regard to how the highways were put together. Nothing. Not one part of that. It was laid down and foundationally laid down as the template specification in about 1954 to 1955. And they expected us to achieve this. By the 60s we were supposed to be at 70 miles an hour. Guess what? And of course, all of a sudden we had the supposed energy crisis. And they laughed their hind end off when they basically cut the highway speed in half of what the highway's potential was. And you might recall, it was the age car when we had cars that could actually achieve safely. I mean think about this, I mentioned the Electra 225. Anybody ever have one? I had a 1970. I got it for a hell of a price from a grandpa who you know he decided he wanted to go to a new car. So I got a 1970, a beautiful. It was like driving down the road in your living room. I am six feet. I am an American. I enjoy two things. A, will it comfortably stretch out in the car and achieve you know where viable highway speeds get from point A to point B because my time is valuable. And if I'm willing to spend a little more fuel to get myself from point A to point B, guess what? I'll decide how to A, earn my money, and then B, spend my money. OK? Here it is. I got a Buick Lecter 225. I picked it up. My dad's in the back seat with my mom. My wife's sitting next to me. Check this out before we buy it. I wanted him to take a look at it real quick because he's the vehicle's car. My dad was a mastermind on mechanic apparatuses. He's already done many, many jobs. So I trusted him. We took a look at his old car, it was a beautiful car. I'm cruising along and I said, well, he said, dip the accelerator pedal, see what she does. So we're going across country on a two lane back road here in Michigan, straight as narrow. And I'm talking while we're doing this, I'm paying attention to other parts of the car or anything like that. I look down and we're doing 90 miles an hour and you could not. The quality of the performance of that car, the sound, black of sound, the performance level of the engine itself, the way everything was designed, a quiet, space shuttle with comfortable seats where I could stretch my legs out, I could adjust everything the way I wanted, the back seat was so big, put your legs out and not, you know, comfort. My problem is this, they immediately killed that, but that was what we called a touring car. I understand first of all, Buick's a little pricier, they're nicer cars anyway, and many other cars were made like that in America. What did we do? We turned them into rolling bigger. Did Americans get told by the government that everybody got bigger? So why then would we want to be more uncomfortable in the little popcorn, you know, squeak cars that we have now? Now that doesn't mean that we don't need the pop-up squeak cars because I've mentioned this on the air. You want to be more efficient? Here's what you do. Think old. Think the way we used to think in America. You had your Sunday go to meeting car, so to speak. And you had your utility work car. That's right. What I mentioned earlier was called a touring car was designed well when you want to go someplace. I don't want to be sitting there like a star sardine for 18 hours on the highway. There was one car. for traveling and visiting. And you had another car that was designed for utility work, you know, for local jumps. You know, they may have 20 people in the car, not gonna have four people in the car. It's probably just me and the wife or just me, and maybe the munchkins and the big queen. We're gonna run down in the beater car, so to speak, or the shuttle car. If I gotta go to work, I need something more efficient, fuel-wise. We take the shuttle car, the little car, or the bicycle or the motorcycle or whatever. You see how that works? People are in condition, oh, no, no, everything, one thing has gotta do everything. And one thing doesn't have to do everything. In fact, if you think about what it costs for a new vehicle, oh they're going to hate me when we do this math formula, you calculate what it costs to go out and buy a brand new car, pay all the brand new insurance, and then calculate if you get a used car, let's say $600, I was looking at a pickup truck for $350 yesterday. Beautiful truck. You know why? Because it looks like it's pretty crude and rough, but it runs. You know what's going to happen to it? one step at a time rather than giving thousands of insurance dollars to a stranger I do not know, a car company that mostly makes its junk overseas now, I go out and buy a used car and the money that I would spend and never see again, I spend on upgrading that older car that is virtually under the hood with regard to the new steel, you know fenders I'm putting on it, or bumpers that I'm putting on it, or replacement fenders, quarter panels. Whatever I'm going to do, people, you're still ahead. And people don't think this way. Oh, I've got to have a new car. No, you don't. I've never had a new car in my life. And you know what? I'm very happy with it. I've been very proud of some of the things I've put together because very patiently, one piece at a time, I know exactly what went into that truck or that van or that. Now, I will tell you, I mostly do trucks. I mostly do vans because I like utility vehicles that we can do lots of stuff with. But if I get a car, it's the same way. And there's some awfully nice used cars out there. Some may also say, oh, they're not as fuel efficient. Well, what little more fuel I'm spending with the less fuel efficient, shall we say, little shuttle car, is so minimal by comparison to the $3 a month car pottery because it's $1,000 and blah, blah, blah, you got to put a gun to your head because on the used car, guess what? Minimum, now the rest of that money can be spent on good for you. The Micro Effect Network, I think true, we do need help there. And so I'm going to remind you again before the top of the hour. We do need help with the Micro Effect Network. You can get, go to Joe's website or you can give him a call at the station and send a donation, which I would appreciate if you do too. P.O. Box 164. Hold that down. There's an envelope. Please send them to the Micro Effect. I want you to think, end this up because we're almost at the top of the hour. Think about how they've always turned things on their heads or twisted stuff like this. And it's always by the same bunch of skunks. This country was more efficient, better kept and happier. Well, we didn't have the police state street corner, but the reason they're doing it now is they've taken the police, the peace officers, so far away from the community, to know who you are and who the problem is. Local police, local, as in Sheriff's Department, constables, local police, provided they stay in line. Remember, you've got discipline. We don't need criminal activity in uniform. What we need, we need peace officers, people. That's what you need to promote. We support our peace officers. There are a lot of good men. many good men out there and women. You got to make sure you understand that. They're both in uniform, but you got to make sure you remind them everyone else while they ain't no different than anybody else. They're regular people and they're supposed to, they shouldn't be isolated from the population, but they've isolated themselves. They consider us the enemy. Well, we have to look at them sometimes that way too if they're going to continue with that and they have that mindset. You talk to your brothers, your uncles, your cousins, your sisters, your daughters all about that too. You know, dad, grandpa, he just puts you on their ear. or at the top of the hour, you guys help out the Micro Effect Network ASAP, please. It'll make a big difference. And y'all stay awake. You gotta go to work otherwise. It is 7.58. Come on, let's stay awake, let's go, and stay tuned to the Micro Effect. This is the Intel Report. We'll be back tomorrow morning, same time. God bless.
