Moving into book two, the winter war, at least outside. That looks like we have some pittery snow on the ground. We've got air coming right out of the north. That's part of the spending bill, okay? But for everybody else, this was important because this is just a gross expansion of the police state, not to focus on foreigners, but to attack Americans. Majority leader. Which is all they're into. Here we go.
I'm proud to be a co-sponsor of this bipartisan drone legislation, which the FBI, the DHS, the FAA, and the DOD, the Department of Defense, all support. The Senate should pass our bill without delay. Our bill, among other things, explicitly authorizes state and local authorities to conduct drone detection.
and helps them better coordinate with federal law enforcement agencies to keep communities safe. The people in New York and New Jersey have a lot of questions, and they're not getting good enough answers. The utter confusion surrounding these drone sightings shows that the feds can't respond all on their own. They need help detecting these drones from local officials.
who have neither the resources nor the explicit authority to act, and the bill fixes that. We all know drones are a relatively new phenomena, and there are millions of them all over the United States. A lot of them are hobbyists, some of them are companies doing legitimate work, but the federal government just doesn't have the ability or resources. If we were to say the federal government should look at this completely,
They'd be taken away from so many other important jobs. So the most logical thing to do is say let the localities have some authority. These are law enforcement authorities. These are people we know and we trust. Now for all we know, the bill, for all we know, the recent drone incidents are entirely benign. But the people of New York and New Jersey understandably still have questions and they deserve answers.
The problem is the widespread use of drones is relatively new in the eyes of federal law. And therefore the authority to detect drone activity near sensitive infrastructure is totally in federal jurisdiction. And that should be fixed in an appropriate way. The federal government just doesn't have the ability to go in every corner of America and see whether the drones are safe or not safe. Local law enforcement is appropriate and they will work with...
the feds in working on this. The bill is about giving local officials on the ground greater flexibility and proven technology to detect and track threats in their jurisdictions. It's about giving people answers they don't now have heard directly from authorities on the ground. If this bill becomes law, we will have better clarity in the future.
So I yield to my friend from Michigan who's worked hard on this issue for a long period of time. It has broad bipartisan support. I hope the Senate can act. I yield. Senator President. Senator from Michigan. Senate President, every day more and more Americans are using drones. Everything from hobby flights to commercial applications as well as law enforcement activities.
Drones can offer important societal and economic benefits, but they can also cause problems if they are not used appropriately. Recently in New Jersey, we've seen reports of loud and menacing drones. And while the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, and other key agencies have assured the public that these drones pose no immediate homeland security threat, they have certainly caused unease and concern for many Americans.
Road drones can interfere with commercial air traffic, as we saw with the recent closure of runways at a New York airport, as well as large public gatherings like football games or concerts.
The National Football League, a key supporter of this legislation, has shared that in recent seasons they have seen more than 2,500 drones violate the airspace around stadiums. And in some cases leading to them stopping the football games to resolve potential threats to their fans as well as to their teams.
We've also seen how drones operate by a bad actor can quickly become a quick or very serious security threat. This summer, an assailant used the drone to surveil President-elect Trump's rally site in Butler, Pennsylvania, just hours, just hours before firing shots in a horrific assassination attempt.
And that's why I've been working to pass bipartisan legislation that would address these concerns by giving law enforcement the tools and the authorities that they need to detect, to identify, and track drones to ensure that they do not pose any risk to Americans. My legislation, which passed out of the committee that I chair, Homeland Security and Government Affairs, passed unanimously last Congress,
would, on a committee, would equip law enforcement agencies, including state and local police, like the officials currently dealing with the ongoing situation in New Jersey, with the tools to better detect and to track drones and identify cases where they may pose a security threat to large public gatherings, airports, critical infrastructure facilities, as well as our communities.
Most urgently, this bill would ensure that law enforcement has the technology needed to quickly and clearly identify exactly what the reported sightings of drones across the country actually are. If a drone is found to be a potential danger, our law enforcement agencies, they must, they must have the tools to mitigate these threats effectively.
And that's why my bill would allow the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice to operate a pilot program so that state and local law enforcement agencies can conduct drone mitigation activities to safely disable threatening drones before they cause serious harm.
This legislation has strong bipartisan support here in the U.S. Senate. We currently have 28 co-sponsors from both sides of the aisles, 14 Democrats, 11 Republicans, and three independents. And as the number of registered drones continue to grow, so does the need to pass this critical legislation to ensure that our law enforcement agencies can address these potential threats.
So I urge my colleagues to join me in passing this common sense bill to safeguard our homeland and ensure that law enforcement can better protect our communities from the potential threats posed by recklessly or nefariously operated drones.
So, I ask unanimous consent that the Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs be discharged from further consideration of S-1631, and the Senate proceed to its immediate consideration that the Peters Substitute Amendment, which is at the desk, be considered and agreed to, and the bill as amended be considered read a third time and passed, and the motion to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table with no intervening action or debate.
Is there an objection? Madam President Senator from Kentucky Reserving the right to object No one disputes that drones flying in airspace could be a danger The drones flying over the Super Bowl could be a danger The drones flying over our military bases could be a danger That's why it's illegal
It's currently illegal and the federal government has the capacity to investigate and stop drones that are in airspace over our military bases, following our ships. We have that capacity. But what is disputed and what the Biden administration is currently telling us is
They don't see a problem. So if there is a problem, let the Biden administration be forthcoming, let us know the extent of the problem, let us know who's flying the drones, and let us know what's going on. Instead, this bill says, well, we don't know. The Biden administration doesn't know, but why don't we give the power to the local officials to go after drones? But I rise today to object to this unanimous consent request
Because at the time, public trust in government is in historic lows. This body must not rush to grant sweeping surveillance powers without proper consideration and debate by the committees of jurisdiction, which is what I pledge to do beginning in January when we will be in charge of the committees.
Yet what is going on is exactly what this legislation seeks to do now, is to expand federal authority to intercept communications and disrupt drone activity, powers that raise serious concerns for Americans' privacy, civil liberties, and Fourth Amendment protections against unwarranted search and seizure.
We are being told this legislation is urgent that it is needed to address an imminent drone threat. Yet the government itself admits no such threat exists. So either there is a threat or there isn't a threat. But the Biden administration keeps saying, well, it's all normal stuff and it's just planes. So it is or it isn't. Why don't we try to get to the truth of the matter of what actually exists and what the threat is before we propose legislation?
Federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI, have stated clearly that there is no current national security risk, no public safety concern, and no unlawful drone activity requiring intervention. So there either is a problem or there isn't a problem. If there is a problem, let's discuss how to do it while protecting the communications of innocent Americans whose communications could be caught up in this legislation.
Until the assessment, the federal assessment changes. The assessment that it isn't a problem changes to that it is a problem and these are the malefactors, these are the people that are orchestrating this. Let's get that from the Biden administration. Tell us what the problem is. Tell us the extent of the problem. Instead, the Biden administration is saying, there's not a problem. So, Madam President, this pattern is all too familiar.
History has shown us time and time again how fear and manufactured urgency are used as pretext to expand government power at the expense of freedom. After 9-11, Congress passed the Patriot Act. In the name of security, Americans were promised that these surveillance powers were necessary. They would only be directed towards foreigners. They would only be directed towards terrorists until we discovered that these powers were being used on Americans.
Americans were promised that these powers were necessary and temporary. Instead, they were abused, misused, and weaponized. Innocent Americans had their privacy violated, their data collected, and their rights trampled. The lesson here is clear. When Congress legislates in haste, without careful scrutiny, without debate, and without accountability, it is the American people who suffer the consequences. Today, we are facing a similar moment.
The bill before us would grant law enforcement significant authority to intercept private electronic communications without consent. For example, the bill would allow the government to conduct dragnet surveillance of the phones innocent Americans traveling through U.S. airports as long as the government claims they are doing it to neutralize a drone.
So in order to look at the information that might be coming to a drone, it may be that you capture all the information of everybody surrounding an airport, or everybody who lives near an airport. Once you have all that data, what are the assurances that the government isn't looking at your data in addition to the data that may be related to flying the drone?
This is not just about security, it's about unchecked government overreach. It's about capitalizing on fear and media-driven hysteria to jam through sweeping legislation that could violate the civil liberties of American people.
Congress has a constitutional responsibility to serve as a check on the executive power, not as a rubber stamp for it. The federal government already has the power to deal with drones. The federal government already has the power to stop any drones that are in airspace around airports. The federal government already has the power to protect its air bases.
So if there is a significant problem here, the Biden administration needs to come forward and let us know who are these drones, who's operating these drones, what is the federal government doing to protect either airports or bases from this. Instead, we are told by the Biden administration there is no threat to our national security.
So, let's first insist on truth and transparency from the Biden administration before offering up legislation that is feel good, pat somebody on the back and say, oh, we've done something about drones. We are strong on drones. Congress has a constitutional responsibility to serve as a check.
on executive power, not as a rubber stamp. We owe it to the American people to demand compelling justification, meaningful safeguards, and full transparency before granting any new surveillance authorities. We are a nation of laws, not fear, not panic, and not manufactured urgency. We do not trade away our freedoms, our privacy, and our constitutional protections for vague promises of security.
I will object to this bill today, but I am open to talking with the authors of this bill about how we could have enhanced ability to interrupt drone activity, but done while protecting all Americans' constitutional right to privacy. Madam President, I object. Objection is heard. Mark, we sat you there. Uh-oh. Well, we might have lost Mark, so...

Not until they have millions in a jack boot on every corner with a submachine gun pointed at your head, watching to see whether or not you're not going to take the shot. Or not wearing a face bra. They want to be able to execute you at their discretion. Well, of course, if they get you to take the shot, they would too. Ah! That's right. They'd be murdering you.
The biggest thing, again, as is pointed out, that's right, cell phone. Cell phone 800 mega activity is directly interlocked with all of the dronatoids slash the droids systems. Now, it was not the case in the past. And in fact, once again, I'm going to remind you that these all stem from RC toys.
The 800 Meg is obviously an extension of the I can control this thing with my cell phone. We all know how that works. Because anybody even has the cheaper toy drones, you actually hook your cell phone up to the little mini controls and you're able to operate the thing and you get to watch. But remember, if you're sending that signal out, it's on the 800 Meg system. It doesn't come straight back to you. Have you ever thought about that? You do realize that every
Every drone that is running is sending the image first to a middleman, a third party. So they already have the ability to monitor every stinking signal that's sent. You all understand that, right? In other words, well, I got a drone and it's private. No, it's not. Because it's going through the compromised 800-meg service to begin with. Okay? Hold on.
Now, years ago, when RC toys of this type first came out, they weren't in the 800 meg range. They were in two different variants. Well, actually, you could build them however you wanted. But typically, they were VHF, UHF, because you wanted a clear, clean signal to be able to control the aircraft. Or there was a little window there where they were FM. And for the exact same reason, clarity of signal.
So, in other words, since you were giving direct control orders to the RC toy, which we now call a drone, you couldn't have a middleman interrupting the information base or the data stream that you were sending, which was, by the way, back of the day analog, not digital. And pretty straightforward as far as being able to operate the equipment. Of course, you could add cameras contrary to what you might think.
50 years ago, which by the way is only the 1970s, in the 1970s micro cameras were available to the industry. They were a spinoff of the Department of Defense and NASA and these cameras were pricey but people mounted them on RC aircraft because they were building aircraft that were in many cases up to one sixth scale
And there was a chunk of change tied into them, so they were willing to spend the money on the cameras. The only difference being that they were sending out a VHF or UHF signal to a receiver, transceiver unit. Sending out, you know, when it was coming back, your signal was going out for control. The optical image is obviously what you're using to guide the aircraft, but you were also using line of sight whenever possible. You were observing the aircraft in the air.

After that drone crap going on in Jersey, I called my buddy out there and asked him what the heck was going on. He's like, nobody knows. He said one of his buddies lives in Philly. And when he got his drone, he's like, wow, hey, there's a game tonight. So he takes his drone off. He flies it over to the stadium. He said by the time it got to the parking lot, the cops were knocking on his door. And they said, where are you going with your drone? What do you think you're doing?
He's like, I just wanted to watch the game. And they're like, I don't think so, Tim. Get that thing back here right now. And he didn't say much about what happened after that. But oh, yeah, you're right. They know exactly where, when, and how these things are taken off and where they're at at all times. So the whole thing, as we've said, the whole thing is a complete bullshit session.

With the tracking technology, not only could you count the pimples, but you could stay on track with that pimple. You have overlapping smaller systems, little bread boxes, that are in a long string. And so as one fails completely, you can drop it out of the inventory.
wait a little bit, and probably what they do is schedule over a period of maybe a year or two, a replacement shot for a number of new satellites. They're all cheapies. They're potty-axes. These are not Cadillacs. The spy satellites are the size of half your house or the size of, may say, a van, a full-size, older-style van, not the new cheapy crap we're building now. But the idea behind that is that you have state-of-the-art,
very sophisticated on board and the clarity and both reception and transmission are very high. What they've done is they've gone with saturation and redundancy on a wider, on a, say, more fingers up there, collecting and sending, and to a degree that's what also helps to ensure the clarity of transmission because they can keep shifting and targeting one over the other and be selective in which signal might be better.
In general, they are spying on us. You can get a good signal by aiming at one directly, but the way these are set up, it's like it's an omni-directional antenna hookup. Yeah, it's a cloud system. Typically what you would see with a satellite is a satellite dish, but this is more like a satellite radio for like a semi-truck where it looks more like a dome, because you're picking it up from all over. You don't need as accurate as a
Like when we were in the big dishes with the knowing your longitude and latitude and the azimuth, the line up with the satellite in the sky, these are a lot simpler to hook up to and link to because of the type of technology that they're using. But as far as spying goes, that's not spying on you any more than you being on the internet or using your telephone.

Before that, most snowmobiles were home-builds or were industrial-type snowmobiles that literally were, when they say sled, more like a sleigh. And that you made some for like Canada and Alaska that could seat four or five people in a row.
And obviously they had bigger butt engines. A lot of times they had small aircraft car engines under the hood. But ski-doo came out with a machine that everybody could run. Do you remember the originals did not have two skis up front? The original skidoos had one. And down the road, somebody's got one of the originals for sale, along with a couple of the next generation. Why is that?
It's kind of like the difference between trike bikes and quads. Everybody loved the trike bikes when they came out and then also became survivors of the trike bikes. What? Yeah, you remember that. Remember, you make the wrong turn or I should say jink with your steering wheel or you hook in the wrong place and unfortunately you went arse over apple cart over the handlebars into the dirt.
And you ate some grass, dirt, or snow, depending on what you were doing. And they were less stable, a lot less stable. They became a hazard issue. Well, the same thing kind of happened with Skidoo. They came up with this first idea. And the idea was it's a slalom ski. But if you worked a little too tough left or right, what happened is you had a tendency to nose in.
And while it was a fun machine to run, I mean it really was, I would love to have that unit down the road, it's now considered a classic. And that's the problem, is I'm sure they have a classic price attached to it. But the snowmobiles, after the first generation of the big public wave of snowmobiles, where it became an interest to everybody,
Very quickly they went to the double track front, double ski front, which is what you see in every model out there just about. Now the old, old gang snowmobiles that we're talking about, the first of those and many of those
had a very large slalom ski on the front, had a single ski on the front, but it was not a narrow, oh, four, five inch wide track. It was literally about the size of half of a surfboard in terms of the front pad, and it was much longer. And mostly where you saw these is in the semi-arctic areas or any place where there was a need for wintertime industrial transport of people.
And by the way, where these were very popular up in the great white north was for instance crews working on oil rigs where they had to get out to something where there was a problem and they said hey we got to do some maintenance. The big butt snowmobiles which when I say big I'm talking these things could hold five, six people with their tool bags and they were still the basic configuration you know a snowmobile to be.
If you look, you'll find these historically out there going all the way back to the original models, I think would be from the 1920s and into the 1930s. Then of course, they were still out there in people's private hands in any way you can imagine. What somebody saw was like, well, I can build that. A lot of people did, so there were many, many independent designs.
Popular mechanics used to sell two or three different prints. If you go through the old popular mechanics and go through the ads in the front and in the back in the classifieds, there were prints you could buy and you could build your own cross-country snow mobile.
And the whole idea was that here were the prints. Well, a couple of companies made them commercially and then somebody kicked in high gear back in the early 60s and started promoting snowmobiles as another winter sport and the rest is history as they say. So very fine machines out there, but the ski do with the single ski is kind of that, you know, benchmark for the big kick off.
And it's still serviceable. It's just don't do a lot of ramming with it. Ramming in exotic acrobatics or extreme turns. You might end up over on your ear, which you don't want. But if you were just looking for a utility machine, a way that they originally were intended to go from A to B and get there in a sensible manner, they work. They still work today. They should be usable. I wouldn't hesitate. It's just like trike bikes. If you don't go crazy with them, you can still run a trike bike. A lot of people I know in the area here have them.
And they've been getting them for cheap, so they really like them because they can you know take them out they can ramrod with them a little bit, but not crazy town and They do what they're supposed to do so again. Think ahead just don't go a little crazy. Did you go a little crazy in the head son? Yeah, he went a little crazy in the head That's why he's got that cast and you know the arm and yeah, it looks like he's got his head wrapped in something too. Oh That probably hurt Anyway, other things now real quick here
Let's not forget, before we're getting farther, solar high. This is why we've had these pitches up and down. I've seen this before, and I'm 66. I've seen this more than a few times in my lifetime with the weather we're seeing in Michigan. But at the bottom of the state, especially because we're in the lowlands a couple days ago, we had
fall weather. Literally all the ice we had in duck ponds and buckets and whatever, it got warm enough and stayed warm enough at night that all of that water, all that ice disappeared. Now, we got a little bit of ice showing up yesterday, a little bit, just a crust, and even that kind of backed off. As soon as you get to the end of the day yesterday, everything was clear again.
This is the roller coaster dangerous weather if you're going to be in the field. And this right now, I know I'm talking to a lot of militia people who are training at any one of the different facilities.
Now as a team leader or if you're going out to work in anything, and I don't care if you're a militia or if you're just going out to work, guys, you have a responsibility to be able to accomplish what you have planned. To do that, you better make sure that the people you're taking into the field, if you're working on something outside, make sure you've got gloves, make sure you've got hats, make sure you even have, you know, neck gators are real common now. You've got the ones for the coronavirus crap, I just saw some.
at a resale shop for a really great price. I might go back and grab them tomorrow because they're tactical, okay, but they're very high quality, really good. They were marketing them as, you know, cough guards, but they're also especially good for keeping you warm. And so again, these are things you should have in your inventory and have a spare of. The balaclavas are great for that. There's cold weather balaclavas that are even made out of fleece. I recommend them.
and they're camel, so you can get both. In the process, you get another camel item and it will help keep you warm. But hypothermia only takes a very short time to catch up with a human. And very quickly, you are in the dumps. You are, in fact, become lethargic, progressively your system shuts down. It takes a lot to charge you back up, to get you back up out of that. So let's not get there.
If you're out there and you're a team leader or if you're the boss guy in charge, you're trying to get something done, you're going to do some construction, make sure you keep an eye on your people. The other thing, remember hypothermia, but also just plain old simple frostbite or at least frost damage, cold damage.
So, this is why Jersey work gloves, anything to get the skin covered. Now we're not in a situation right now where you're going to touch stuff and freeze to it. I've been in subzero weather and operated. It's like being in, you have to think like a space man. Everything that you do has to be thought through like you're doing a mission in space. Like if you're doing operations on work on the orbital International Space Station. You watch how they work. Everything is planned.
And you don't just take your gloves off and reach for something because you're going to leave skin. Now right now we don't have that problem. Instead what we just have is the idea that everything that's cold sucks heat out of you. So we need to make sure we keep everybody protected. Prior proper planning prevents piss poor performance. On that note, there are a few items still at Sportsman's Guide that are, even though it's winter, actually quite reasonably priced. Over at Sportsman's Guide they have the aviators
Furback, the fake furback winter Arctic mittens. Now these come with a holofill shell. They have the extra large cuff. And the reason for that is so that when you put the mitten on, it seals the end of your coat. It goes over the end of your coat.
These also have the grandma hanger hooks, little loops. What are those for? Well, you do just like grandma used to do with you if you lived in Michigan here. You get a piece of cordage and you run the cordage through your coat from one side to the other down to the cuff and then you tie your mitten to that so that when you're wanting to take the mitten off and work without it, you don't drop it or leave it in the snow or leave it behind where you
Okay, I'm done with that. Let's jump on the vehicle and you get the vehicle and you go down the road and after 20 miles you think, huh, where did my right mitten go? Where did I leave my right mitten? Well, you left your right mitten 25 miles along the road back there. That's where you did. It's back there right where you left it.
Instead, the idea is that, especially again because cold weather, we need to keep our people protected. The little grandma strings, now there's two ways you can do it, you can do the strings, but I will point out that on a lot of your military clothes that were made for the right era.
If you have the late 50s, not the M65 but the pre-65s, the M1954, the M1958 field jackets, they actually have, depending on which country made them because they were a NATO item, they have the connectors right there in the cuff.
So, if you look around and pay attention when you see surplus field jackets, what you want to do is look for all the fixtures and fittings, including the internal buttons for your liners because there were different ways, depending on how old that field jacket is, they didn't use the button in liners. In World War II, there's a series of 40s XM type field coats that showed up, the development of the field jacket. There's people that study this. It is a science.
But if you don't have the connections, you add them. This is why I highly recommend that one of the gifts that keeps on giving that you need to purchase part of our Quartermaster system is buy a sewing machine.
There are beautiful machines that are showing up on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, local resale shops. I grab every machine that's $10 or $12 or $20, no matter how policy.
And again, you can get some really nice basic machines or you can get some really nice advanced machines. They're usually grandma machines where grandma passed away and the younger people are stupid and they don't have the brains, god, gage, geese. And I'm not going to do the sewing thing. A lot of the women are into the anti-female thing and their logic is, I've actually asked somebody, I've been looking at one and somebody else walks up and I said, well, do you have a sewing machine? And it's a girl.
And they get all, especially around kosher slash feminist crazy Ann Arbor, Michigan. There's some really great resale shops there, but you're dealing with a lot of stupid people. And this one female got to see this younger twit. She probably around 19, 20, whatever. And I just looked at her and said, because I was going to buy that machine no matter what. But I'll acquiesce if you don't have something. And I asked, and she was like, oh, oh, where Patty started getting a bunch. And so I ignored the twit.
And I looked at the next guy who I think was her castrated boyfriend and I said, well, do you have a sewing machine? And then she went into praying for it because she didn't know. I must be asking because you're a female. No, I'm asking because the sewing machine is a tool. And I'm not counting on the women to do the job anymore. My wife is fantastic for that. She had a whole sewing area that we made a whole room just for that purpose and more.
But a lot of stupid people are assuming we are being sexist no I'm being practical because if you don't know how to fix stuff then your ass is hanging out of the breeze when things go to hell in a hand cart and by the way it's a skill. I know how to knit. I think if I worked at it I probably could get back into it but my one of my aunts taught me to knit when I was little and it's like second day was second nature I couldn't do it now I'd have to sit down and Nancy have to coach me, but I think I could pick it up pretty fast.
Okay, I think it would be a problem. I think I could work it out. But it's the idea that sewing machines are people grossly underestimate the value of the sewing machine. Guys, most of the third world started to compete against us because we sold sewing machines overseas. Do you understand that? And I'm not talking about sweatshops. What you need to do, take the time and I'm sure there's a hundred videos, maybe a thousand videos on because there always are an old machinery. Usually people are rediscovering them. I want you to go look at a treadle sewing machine. Let me help you understand something. First of all, it's self-powered. It doesn't have a motor on it. If you're a third world country and you were trying to build up a manufacturing system, you start small and you build up from there.
Well, if you have a treadle-powered sewing machine, the gears and the intricate power head, that's literally what it is, a drive motor head, which is running without electrical power, can be re-modified to do any number of single manufacturing steps. It can be used for punching, it can be used for drilling, it can be used for all kinds of fascinating things. And you know what?
When people were in a third world environment and having to improvise, adapt, and overcome, you know, don't think that because they're from another country they're stupid. That's a very foolish attitude to have. Humans are very innovative.
Back in the day, what happened is we sold the sewing machines to Asia, we sold them to South America, and when innovative individuals got hold of that machinery, they looked at it and said, what can I do with this? In fact, even though they bought these sewing machines as sewing machines, they never had any intention of using them as sewing machines. That stupid little machine you're looking at there, even a modern sewing machine, the technology under the hood,
with a little bit of modification, or it should say even some significant modification, can be turned into a small manufacturing machine, not for sewing. Take a look at just ahead of the sewing machine and what it does going up and down, just if you actually have the, where the needle is fixtured.
Imagine how that can be used as a punching device to do stippling like you cut material. You make a cutout for it and every time it drops, bang, it cuts out a piece of leather or a piece of plastic or back in the day, whatever materials it is that they were operating, they weren't wanting to modify or they wanting to cut. See how that works? So the sewing machine as a manufacturing base
Well, it literally brought a whole bunch of countries up out of third world to second world status. And all these little sweatshop operations weren't just doing, you know, Hao Chi Ding clothing. They were doing a lot of other items that owe in the next step. And by the way, one of the countries that really picked up on this was Japan.
Japan, if you recall, maybe you don't, because they don't do a real good job of any history in America anymore, so if you're a new listener, maybe you've never heard this, but one of the whining things that they use to try and bang the gong again, to bring up hate on Japan, is that just like China, Japan before, not after World War II, before World War II, Japan was making mimics of all kinds of things that we produced.
Now they weren't just doing our stuff, but if you're, if you're, if you're Rosenfelt, if you're the, if you're the Roosevelt Communists, you're trying to get a bunch of people killed in a world war. To do that, you need the Jewish mob needed to get you to angst against the other population. So did you know that the Japanese were making copies of our lipstick? Oh my god, they were making copies of our lipstick! They were making copies of, oh my god, bourbon!
They made copies of our liquor! Those bastards. How dare they go after our liquor? Well, wait a minute, a few years ago you had prohibition. We didn't have any liquor. So why you carry on? Somebody's making something. Okay? But no, no, no, no, no. It had to be you had to be angsting against what the Japanese people were doing and the companies were doing that, you know, Japanese people were employed by. How dare they? How dare they? Well, here's the thing, like that lipstick container, the machinery that they developed
To do that started way back before the turn of the century when they sent Singer and White and many other sewing machines to the Asian continent. And the Japanese, who were pretty engineering savvy, looked at the machinery and said, oh, we can make a stamping machine out of that. Because remember, lipstick containers, which were stamped sheet metal, weren't really all that tough metal, were they? Weren't all that heavy.
So, copies of everything that the West was doing, or well, the Far East from them, but the Far East to us, if we had paid your definition from Europe or the US, the Far West or the Far East, they were building everything, they were building their industry up based upon this micro tech technology, which in the same vein, they were also doing foundry work, they did all the heavy steel work, they were building all of that up, and they did.
And it's interesting that that history is lost, but it's why. They were able to make all those things that everybody was pissing and mowing about. Now, was Japan taking over the market? No, they weren't.
They didn't dominate our market. The only thing you were competing in the Asian market. And well, how dare you sell fake, you know, Johnny Walker red label when, you know, we could sell our own. But wait, a few years ago, you've been killing people. Remember, government poisoned alcohol in America because it was evil for you to have alcohol. Remember that? That's why we have denatured alcohol. Then all of a sudden, we got to kill the Japanese because they're making copies of our stinking booze.
Well, making copies of the Jewish run distilleries booze. You ever pay attention to when prohibition ended? What it did is it got rid of all the competition and ran out a whole bunch of other liquor manufacturers and the only ones left were the Jewish mob. You ever do a background check on who was making the liquor after prohibition? You ever pay attention to who was making the liquor before prohibition? Boy, Gevalt, I'm telling ya.
So how dare those Japanese? How dare they make that bourbon? We need to go kill them. This is Japanese who are making bourbon. And lipstick holders. And automotive parts. They even made copies of our spark plugs, those bastards. So we need to kill them for that. Well, in theory. Well, that was part of the excuse.

So, check it out, see what's there, but those little, those vests are a neat little item, gives you something for your people to train with, you're not going to beat up your regular gear, but also for, again, familiarization in training. Remember, it just needs to be the basics. It does not need to be anything overly sophisticated. And for handing out for people who show up late, it'd be good enough also. If you're looking for something to throw into the 5.10 program. But I will point out again, they're size medium. Now, size large, extra large, or anything like that.
I'm not saying you have to have a big person for that, but if you have your field jacket and your cold weather gear on, your wet gear has to be able to adjust out to accommodate your extra layers of insulation and clothing for winter operations. So for the medium, if you've got small people, that's why somebody goes, well, what do you mean by kids? If you've got young kids? Yeah, this is good because you're going to put your cold weather gear on, right?
You're going to have bundle up, right? Well, you've got to be able to get over all of that. So an adult quasi-medium piece of equipment like that will work fine. I've been buying the Sage slash the ACU type green. They're flat colors. Black is gone, I think. OD green, Coyote brown, and the other Sage green, medium green. I've been doing the medium green, whatever color floats your boat, but for spare socks, they're perfect.
With regard to the mittens and gloves, they have three. They have trigger finger mittens, wool, which is fantastic. And yes, they do have trigger finger shells, trigger finger mittens shells for a pretty good price. I think about $2.30 a piece.
So, there's more cold weather gear for you. Now, you can pick and cherry pick off all this equipment and do pretty stinking well. Now, somebody was asking me, you know, is there any place where you can get the, you know, your shinkas anymore, the Russian or East German hats, winter hats? Yeah, they actually have them. The Chinese ones are coming in. The East German were pretty, you know, were cheap by comparison, but are better quality than the Chinese.
But they're well made, they're just well enough made. So if you're looking for a cold weather, one of the Russian moc fur hats, they're out there. And Sportsman's Guide had a couple of deals. You're going to have to look to see what they have on hand. It's that time of year where the stuff is selling out. I did not look today. I have not had time. But Sportsman's Guide definitely had some pretty good prices. Now some of the stuff will only be size small. But if you're looking for stuff for your kid, size small is perfect.

The Senate hearing on the drone bill, where they were trying to vote on it, again, this is Rand Paul blocks drone security bill due to concerns over privacy violations and overwatch, or not overwatch, overreach.

We played this during the Intelligence Report, but I want to get this out here anyway because, yeah, it just goes into what I was talking about before about this.
The whole thing with the drones is a non-issue to make it an issue so they can try to get more power. Majority Leader. In a few moments, my friend Senator Peters will offer an amendment that responds to the reports of unusual drone activity. And I thank him for his great work and leadership on this. I'm proud to be a co-sponsor of this bipartisan drone legislation, which the FBI
DHS, the FAA, and the DOD, the Department of Defense, all support. The Senate should pass our bill without delay. Our bill, among other things, explicitly authorizes state and local authorities to conduct drone detection and helps them better coordinate with federal law enforcement agencies to keep communities safe. The people in New York and New Jersey have a lot of questions.
and they're not getting good enough answers. The utter confusion surrounding these drone sightings shows that the feds can't respond all on their own. They need help detecting these drones from local officials who have neither the resources nor the explicit authority to act, and the bill fixes that. We all know drones are a relatively new phenomena, and there are millions of them all over the United States. A lot of them are hobbyists, some of them are companies doing legitimate work.
But the federal government just doesn't have the ability or resources. If we were to say the federal government should look at this completely, they'd be taken away from so many other important jobs. So the most logical thing to do is say, let the localities have some authority. These are law enforcement authorities. These are people we know and we trust. Now, for all we know, the bill, for all we know, the recent drone incidents are entirely benign.
But the people of New York and New Jersey understandably still have questions and they deserve answers. The problem is the widespread use of drones is relatively new in the eyes of federal law. And therefore the authority to tech- to tech- drone activity near sensitive infrastructure is totally in federal jurisdiction.
And that should be fixed in an appropriate way. The Federal Government just doesn't have the ability to go in every corner of America and see whether the drones are safe or not safe. Local law enforcement is appropriate and they will work with the feds in working on this. The bill is about giving local officials on the ground greater flexibility and proven technology to detect and track threats in their jurisdictions. It's about giving people answers they don't now have.

And while the Department of Homeland Security, the FBI, and other key agencies have assured the public that these drones pose no immediate homeland security threat, they have certainly caused unease and concern for many Americans. Rogue drones can interfere with commercial air traffic, as we saw with the recent closure of runways at a New York airport, as well as large public gatherings like football games or concerts.
The National Football League, a key supporter of this legislation, has shared that in recent seasons they have seen more than 2,500 drones violate the airspace around stadiums and in some cases leading to them stopping the football games to resolve potential threats to their fans as well as to their teams.
We've also seen how drones operate by a bad actor can quickly become a quick or very serious security threat. This summer, an assailant used a drone to surveil President-elect Trump's rally site in Butler, Pennsylvania, just hours, just hours before firing shots in a horrific assassination attempt.
And that's why I've been working to pass bipartisan legislation that would address these concerns by giving law enforcement the tools and the authorities that they need to detect, to identify, and track drones to ensure that they do not pose any risk to Americans. My legislation, which passed out of the committee that I chair, Homeland Security and Government Affairs, passed unanimously last Congress,
would, on a committee, would equip law enforcement agencies, including state and local police, like the officials currently dealing with the ongoing situation in New Jersey, with the tools to better detect and to track drones and identify cases where they may pose a security threat to large public gatherings, airports, critical infrastructure facilities, as well as our communities.
Most urgently, this bill would ensure that law enforcement has the technology needed to quickly and clearly identify exactly what the reported sightings of drones across the country actually are. If a drone is found to be a potential danger, our law enforcement agencies, they must, they must have the tools to mitigate these threats effectively.
And that's why my bill would allow the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Justice to operate a pilot program so that state and local law enforcement agencies can conduct drone mitigation activities to safely disable threatening drones before they cause serious harm.
This legislation has strong bipartisan support here in the U.S. Senate. We currently have 28 co-sponsors from both sides of the aisles, 14 Democrats, 11 Republicans, and 3 independents. And as the number of registered drones continue to grow, so does the need to pass this critical legislation to ensure that our law enforcement agencies can address these potential threats.
So I urge my colleagues to join me in passing this common sense bill to safeguard our homeland and ensure that law enforcement can better protect our communities from the potential threats posed by recklessly or nefariously operated drones.
So I ask unanimous consent that the Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs be discharged from further consideration of S1631 and the Senate proceed to its immediate consideration that the Peters Substitute Amendment, which is at the desk, be considered and agreed to, and the bill as amended be considered read a third time and passed, and the motion to reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table with no intervening action or debate.

It's currently illegal and the federal government has the capacity to investigate and stop drones that are in airspace over our military bases, following our ships. We have that capacity. But what is disputed and what the Biden administration is currently telling us is
They don't see a problem. So if there is a problem, let the Biden administration be forthcoming. Let us know the extent of the problem. Let us know who's flying the drones and let us know what's going on. Instead, this bill says, well, we don't know. The Biden administration doesn't know, but why don't we give the power to the local officials to go after drones? But I rise today to object to this unanimous consent request
Because, at the time, public trust in government is in historic lows. This body must not rush to grant sweeping surveillance powers without proper consideration and debate by the committees of jurisdiction, which is what I pledge to do beginning in January when we will be in charge of the committees.
Yet what is going on is exactly what this legislation seeks to do now, is to expand federal authority to intercept communications and disrupt drone activity, powers that raise serious concerns for Americans' privacy, civil liberties, and Fourth Amendment protections against unwarranted search and seizure.
We are being told this legislation is urgent that it is needed to address an imminent drone threat. Yet the government itself admits no such threat exists. So either there is a threat or there isn't a threat. But the Biden administration keeps saying, well, it's all normal stuff and it's just planes. So it is or it isn't. Why don't we try to get to the truth of the matter of what actually exists and what the threat is before we propose legislation?
Federal agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI, have stated clearly that there is no current national security risk, no public safety concern, and no unlawful drone activity requiring intervention. So there either is a problem or there isn't a problem. If there is a problem, let's discuss how to do it while protecting the communications of innocent Americans whose their communications could be caught up in this legislation.
Until the assessment, the federal assessment changes. The assessment that it isn't a problem changes to that it is a problem and these are the malefactors, these are the people that are orchestrating this. Let's get that from the Biden administration. Tell us what the problem is. Tell us the extent of the problem. Instead, the Biden administration is saying, there's not a problem. So, Madam President, this pattern is all too familiar.
History has shown us time and time again how fear and manufactured urgency are used as pretext to expand government power at the expense of freedom. After 9-11, Congress passed the Patriot Act. In the name of security, Americans were promised that these surveillance powers were necessary. They would only be directed towards foreigners. They would only be directed towards terrorists until we discovered that these powers were being used on Americans.
Americans were promised that these powers were necessary and temporary. Instead, they were abused, misused, and weaponized. Innocent Americans had their privacy violated, their data collected, and their rights trampled. The lesson here is clear. When Congress legislates in haste, without careful scrutiny, without debate, and without accountability, it is the American people who suffer the consequences. Today, we are facing a similar moment.
The bill before us would grant law enforcement significant authority to intercept private electronic communications without consent. For example, the bill would allow the government to conduct dragnet surveillance of the phones innocent Americans traveling through U.S. airports as long as the government claims they are doing it to neutralize your drone.
So in order to look at the information that might be coming to a drone, it may be that you capture all the information of everybody surrounding an airport or everybody who lives near an airport. Once you have all that data, what are the assurances that the government isn't looking at your data in addition to the data that may be related to flying the drone?
This is not just about security, it's about unchecked government overreach. It's about capitalizing on fear and media-driven austerity to jam through sweeping legislation that could violate the civil liberties of American people.
Congress has a constitutional responsibility to serve as a check on the executive power, not as a rubber stamp for it. The federal government already has the power to deal with drones. The federal government already has the power to stop any drones that are in airspace around airports. The federal government already has the power to protect its air bases.
So if there is a significant problem here, the Biden administration needs to come forward and let us know who are these drones, who's operating these drones, what is the federal government doing to protect either airports or bases from this. Instead, we are told by the Biden administration there is no threat to our national security.
So, let's first insist on truth and transparency from the Biden administration before offering up legislation that is feel good, pat somebody on the back and say, oh, we've done something about drones. We are strong on drones. Congress has a constitutional responsibility to serve as a check.
on executive power, not as a rubber stamp. We owe it to the American people to demand compelling justification, meaningful safeguards, and full transparency before granting any new surveillance authorities. We are a nation of laws, not fear, not panic, and not manufactured urgency. We do not trade away our freedoms, our privacy, and our constitutional protections for vague promises of security.
I will object to this bill today, but I am open to talking with the authors of this bill about how we could have enhanced ability to interrupt drone activity, but done while protecting all Americans' constitutional right to privacy. You heard it from the representative from Michigan, you know, we don't want to have a debate on this. We just need to pass it. Right there in the middle, before Rand Paul got up, Rand Paul, calling it his dad's name, Rand Paul, got up there. No debate, no challenge to it. We just need to do it. One of the reasons why they're claiming that they're trying to get it over to them is that they're claiming that Posse Comitatus, the martial law thing, doesn't let the US military shoot down the drones, which is, again, BS. If we had a coast guard that was guarding our coast and doing what they were supposed to do, then that Iranian mothership or whatever the hell they claim was launching the drones out in the ocean,

Washington, D.C. that grants them more power for a particular thing. We have something like this happen. It's like, oh, we've got anti-gun legislation coming up. Let's have a bunch of school shootings, miraculously. And they all have a table of authorized equipment.
When you take a look at how often this happens, you'd think there'd be some variation in the play. You know, they always claim that the person's a lone wolf. Well, guys, how come they always have the latest, greatest, best, whiz-bang toys that cost thousands of dollars and it's a quote-unquote lone wolf. The only one that really fits that description of somebody who's out on his own trying to do nefarious things is that guys, the second attempt on Trump's life at the golf course.
Take a look at his equipment. It wasn't the latest greatest and best stuff although for a guy who lives in Hawaii and Jets around the world doing stuff Remember he volunteered in Ukraine He did a lot of protesting in Washington DC But his home residence is supposedly in Hawaii For somebody who has the money to do that didn't have the money to equip himself very well, did he?

Now the plan was that they keep banging the police state gong and they would have continued with the ban. But this is the same scenario, again, for a four year period.

So we're now in a void because I don't know how they would have, I doubt they would have passed it today. I think they wanted to move it today. But they, and they probably would have had everybody ready to rubber stamp it. You know that Obama would have signed it. Oh, I mean Barry Satoro. Oh, I mean the Pedestifer Meat puppet Biden's. Yeah, whatever. Whoever would have put the Crayola crayon on it, it would have been approved. But this totally eschews that particular event from happening at this moment.
Now we're going into the weekend. I have not, nobody's eyeballing with a microscope all these activities, so there could be shenanigans going on behind the scenes on this we don't even know about yet. But the state legislation is now screwed too. However, just like this HR, guys, this was already in committee, already pushed out of committee.
It was waiting in the wings before all the sightings of first UFOs, then they were drones, then they didn't know whose drones, then, well, they're drones, they're looking for nuclear devices, so they were trying to do anything to create crisis for you all to be scared and terrified and chewing on your fingernails to the point where they were all gone, so you had to chew on your toenails, you know, until they were all gone, and you're supposed to be angsting right now, except that nobody believes their sorry ass.
So, what's going to be interesting to see what happens with the state solution, the counterpart legislation to acquiesce state sovereignty in order for the JTFM, JTF federal mechanism to slide down to the state. See, these have to join. Just like with the federal legislation where you have to go through the Senate and the House, and they have to balance out the scales, so to speak.
When you're doing this down to the state level, remember all the state restrictions still apply with regard to control and sovereignty of the state. So the real mission is twofold. Number one, the Fed gets more power. But in addition to that, the state gets more, loses power, and the Feds get more power in the state, over the state, usurping the resources paid for at the state level by the Feds.
Pretty obvious, we've seen this many times before, but this was to expand dramatically the goose-stepping communications police state monitoring system. Mostly by foreigners. The Israelis would be the ones running it. If you take a look at some of the money and look at the company names, etc., and then what they were probably going to do to conceal the records, what they have done, they do this with the Instacex. They take the information from the Instacex, they go to Israel, they go to England.
Well, we don't keep it. Yeah, you don't keep it. Somebody else keeps it for you. Isn't that cute? Yeah, that is. So special. I'm telling you, so special. So anyway, again, heads up on that. And yes, we are already asking, including Michigan, by the way, because it's going to have to be all 50 states and perhaps the territories. And as somebody pointed out that I was talking to today,
It's more likely we'll find out from the territories what was going on. I will remind you that when they were doing the big gun grab years ago when Obama was trying to push it through, it was a territorial judge in Guam that stuck the stick in the spokes of various tutorials go around for the gun confiscation, for the gun ban. What they did, you see, because the territories are run by the Fed, they're not states.
And understand there's a very different management system until such time as a territory appeals, you know, petitions for statehood and most don't. Well, there aren't many left. Most did because while every state and union at one time or another has been a territory except for the original 13.
But what's interesting is Guam, because it was federal, what they were going to do is ramrod and push all of the anti-gun stuff through that federal court, which would have kept it isolated from all appeals. But the judge who was over-ruling or over-righting the case, or overseeing, get marketed right, overseeing the case,
She realized that there was some skullduggery going on and she actually stepped up to the plate and beat the sucker down and that's the only reason we even know about that legislation being developed and those laws being developed. Because it would all have been in the federal plateau, the equivalent to say being just in the district of criminals. That's really what the territories are. They're supposed to be managed by the Fed until such time or at least they're oversight by the Fed.
until after the petition of statehood and its accomplishing everything takes place and they have their individual sovereignty confirmed then they're separated from the Fed, not completely, but separated in that they are self-managing and they're self-governing. They haven't had their way in everything, despite what everybody says. They haven't had their way.

great opportunity and some really great people coming together for the season. Also again, I believe, and forgive me because I've got to make sure I get this date right, and don't have the schedule. Maybe I do. Now I do have it in front of me. Somebody knew what I was going to ask. We have a flag ceremony for a new Colonial Marine Militia Unit. It's going to be on the west side of the state of Michigan.
And I believe it is, hold on here, let me double check, make sure I get this right. This is an extension of the 18th Ridge Mental Combat Team Colonial Marine Militia, 18th RCT, and it is the sixth detachment. And I believe what's going to happen here, and the flag ceremony, hold on here, this is a presentment of the flag, excuse me, for some reason I'm making some background noise there, it's me, not Ed.
It is the 11th of January and this is going to be a command flag ceremony. However, this is a little different. Well, it's not different. Every unit has gone through this at one time or another. The 18th is a well developed formation. Those are my guardian angels as a matter of fact. The 2nd and 3rd squadron of the 18th are mechanized and they're my, well, they're friends. Let's put it that way. They're waiting for when the other foot drops.
But again, this will be the sixth attachment part of, I believe, it'll be eight squadron. And it's on the 11th, but this is a presentment of the flag. Now, they've already had all the notifications sent out. The big thing that slows this down and why we haven't said anything about it is each individual with this militia, Colonial Marine militia, will receive the order of the blade. In other words, they will receive
What is a one-time issue item? It's serial numbered to the person. These are custom-built blades. And the detachment is about, oh, I think 86, 87 men. And what happens here is that to the new unit commander, the wives or grandmothers and girlfriends
of the members, typically they are almost all married, not everyone but typically, and in some cases grandparents, grandmothers show up for this. Number one is they present the unit colors which are built by the women that are the dependents of the members. And then number two
A presentment of the blade, each individual, the wife is there and presents the blade to her husband, could be a girlfriend, could be a boyfriend, the girl's boyfriend, or like a grandma or mom. Again, one situation, because mom was gone, a grandmother if she's alive is of course the person. We ask each person.
It's the job of the individual who's going to be receiving the flag, who has been designated as the unit commander. And this whole thing takes more than a few hours. And if you ever get a chance, if you are invited, you have to be tapped on the shoulder, this is a one-time experience for the unit. And it's a great camaraderie session where everybody gets a chance to reflect and understand what we're doing. And this is how we've built the CMM up for decades.
This is year 2024. The Colonial Marine Militia official kickoff with regard to their first constitutional convention, which I spoke at. Plus, some of you have the video where I spoke. It was 1992-1993. We had a 1992, beginning of 1993. And the final session, which I did speak at, also was what, the end of 1993?
So, the Constitution of the Colonial Marine Militia has been in place for over 30 years now. But it was already in place, the CMM was already out there way before we showed up. And in fact, through the 80s, many of the CMM, or what would become the CMM members, were participant in what we call the justice standoffs, where we had to protect our legal people because the Fed
and the ADL, the skanks were losing in court, so they were attacking our people. And out of this, the many members who were former Marines built up the CMM. So a flag ceremony, the flags are actually, the UNIF flag is embroidered. It's like, well, they're regimental colors is what they are, but the flag is very much a family-oriented mechanism. It's to demonstrate why we fight.
And so the women all put their stitch into the flag. It's a very unique process. We have a lot of other girls, well, ladies, who help to set everything up. And they've got that done and out of the way. The blades, you've got to play catch up because it depends on how many people are in the unit. And there are only so many of the custom blades made at a time.
And so usually our knife makers, one who actually built the, you've seen the knife that I have that I carry in my combat rig, that was built by the Master Chief himself who put that together for me 33 years ago. And the other blade that he gave me, which was from 1994, it's difficult to choose which one, but both of those are my first edges. If I carry something, that's what I carry for a personal fighting knife.
In this case, the blades are serial numbered. The number will never be passed on. In other words, it's a permanent ensign for each of the members. So it's really a somber event. Usually people get pretty quiet. Sometimes there are some tears because it's one of those things where you're accepting obligation and responsibility. So congratulations. And again, 18th Regimental Combat Team 6 Detachment.
part of the 8th Squadron, which is more to the west. The units like the 2nd and 3rd are right here in our backyard. And the 18th is still building, but they have both...let's see, what do we have? We have mechanized, we have two motorized sections, they have an indirect fire section, you know, and they have detachments and all the rest of the structure.
They are building a new medical unit, probably going to be there for the build when we do the medical builds here coming up. We are going to be doing the IFAX and all the other material. So they are going to have a series of people there that are part of their medical section. We have a number of classes planned for that particular day too. So anyway, congratulations. That will be on the 11th of January. And if we fight before then, they'll go to war without it getting done. They'll still get the flag out. But both the OIC and the Senior NCO and the other rest of the staff, of course, are the ones who receive the flag and take responsibility for the colors. So it's pretty neat. Anyway, next. Somebody was asking me about, oh, one more time just to be safe because I don't know when people are listening. And I had this when I went through my emails during the hour long break. I didn't get too much break. I just got time to do something else. For sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt, if you have the M77 rifle and you need mags, right now this is the time to buy them, cheapest they'll ever be.
over at apexgunparts.com. They have a deal on the Yugoslavian Zastava 7.62x51 NATO 20 round mags. These are military factory. They're five for a hundred dollars. Now these are slab mags, they're 20 rounders, but they are factory. They're Zastava Yugoslavian made.
and they're five for $100. That's $20 a mag. That's the cheapest you'll ever see them. And again, because this is a good rifle, but it's an odd man out rifle, I'm going to recommend that not, don't just buy one bundle, buy two. If you're going to, if you need those mags, this is the cheapest you'll probably ever see these and they may never come in again or if they do, remember they start going into the, with every passing year, stuff goes into collector's grade.
And then it goes into what we call unobtainium price. Ask anybody who has any of the SVD sniper rifle knockoffs with the price of a real magazine, original magazine for those guns. We were buying them for $2 apiece and $4 and $5 was still a great price. Now they're $125 a magazine. Yeah, I know. Everybody goes, woo! In fact, they finally got so expensive that somebody is making plastic copies or making polymer
10 round copies of that magazine. In this case you're getting a factory regular military mag of the M77 Sistava, Yugoslavian magazines and they're over at apexgunparts.com. Apexgunparts.com. But I would recommend you probably buy two bundles, that's 10 mags. Yeah I know it's $200 but guess what, it would be $200 well spent.
Seriously, you're not going to lose a penny on it. You're going to be, you can be down the road, be able to sell one mag for the price of everything you bought. Well, maybe two. Might have to buy two. Sell two. That's just how things like this go. Next! Uh, see before I go too far. Oh, I can't talk about that on the air, boys. Somebody's asked me something and put out a piece of paper and nuke. Can't even comment about that. Um, hmm.
We've run down the shopping list here, but there's a few things that just can't ever not, they're not for the air. So correction on that, you guys go the other way. The police trade in pistols, Senko de Ambeau de. Centerfiresystems.com has a pretty good selection. Atlantic Firearms does have quite a collection too, but they're leaning more towards the Israeli pistols. You see a lot of Jericho's and such there right now, Atlantic Firearms.
But Centrifier has, I think, a little broader American selection and AIM surplus picked up, I think, some of the same products. So compare back and forth. There's a couple of really nice prices on both the Smith & Wesson M&P, I think for as little as $239, law enforcement trade-in. In addition to that, there's also a couple of the 90s Smiths that were very popular.
Again, some automatic, single action, double action. Magazines are available, both factory and aftermarket. With the M&Ps, I do like those because, again, there's a lot of magazines laying around right now for the moment. Now, they're not as plentiful as Glock, as common as Glock, but they are out there and plentiful. And the M&P is going to be with us for quite some time because a lot of people bought into them. So the good thing is, is that, again, parts, pieces, and assemblies.
I would not be surprised, and if you do see this, that there's going to be some chopped up M&P models available. So if you're looking for part selection, I would just get a whole parts kit that way. I'd just get the whole thing. You should get a spare barrel, but you might not. But the important thing is firing pin extractor, ejector, all the internal springs. You'd probably get an extra slide. Well, you'd better.
certainly aren't going to get a frame, but you can get all the other accoutrements and make up a replacement kit and then still acquire more if you want to or buy two of the kits as they come out because we are going to see the chopped versions of this. First, they're going through the complete guns and as we've seen cyclically over and over again, the next wave will be parts guns, you know, parts pieces. So you definitely are going to want to eyeball watch for that because when it does come in, you want to take advantage of it if you're an M&P guy, if you're a Smith and Wesson, you know, shooter.
Also, here in Michigan, as far as I know, and I'll cross my fingers on this one because again, the data is not done. As far as we know, the Michigan House of Representatives have not reconvened and they do not have a quorum. Now that could change and the only reason they do not have a quorum, as was pointed out, we talked about this yesterday and today,
The reason is that one Democrat walked out on the session the same as the Republicans. Now the Republicans left separately and this one Democrat in the House walked out. Well that destroyed their ability to continue to function. It would be cool if they bought the person or something but apparently the individual was getting pissy because stuff that she wanted passed wasn't being incorporated into the rabidly crazy legislation that they were already pushing.
There is another senator, and this is interesting because this actually messes up the other side. Apparently there's a senator who is out. However, it sounds like he may have contracted one of the latest flus, and if he did, good, because he's not coming into work. And if we see one more like that happen, it will make any difference what they want to do. They can't move anything through the Senate.
Now they've already done enough damage. There's a whole bunch of damage done. There's a whole bunch of anti-gun bills that they did get through. Now I don't know any, I don't know which ones have been signed by the governor, if they have been yet, by you know, the Greg Shitsmere, the cross-dressing man that they call, you know, Gretchen Whitmer. Greg Shitsmere, the cross-dressing man. Bruce Jenner's, I think Bruce Jenner's second cousin-in-law is what he looks like.
Of course, it's promised to sign all of these. But at this point in time, and I can't see them going in tomorrow or calling a session, I don't think they have the ability to come in on a, they could do it on a Saturday, they could even do it on a Sunday. They have done scurrilous stuff like this in every state at one point or another. But right now, with the Democrat, if Nessel decides that she's going to charge all the Republicans, she better throw that Democrat under the bus too.
Because the Democrats publicly said that they just you know she walked out for a very specific reason so if all those Republicans are going to be charged for you know not showing up for work then I would figure that that Democrat needs to be charged also, but we'll see what happens. They maybe just fellow travelers spit swapping lesbians and if they are you know nothing's going to happen. At least out with the Democrat. Do the Republicans rats? Oh yeah, they'll continue. Oh somebody's hold on here.
Okay, yeah, this always happens towards the end of the program. We're almost to the top here, okay. As far as I know, now somebody's saying it could be the 10th, but the 10th is, okay, here's the thing. The 10th, with regard to the 18th RCT meetup, the 10th is the banquet, okay? Yes, yes, there is an event on the 10th.
There is the banquet on the 10th that's being done by one of the sponsors who actually is a member of the Colonial Marine Militia, the restaurant slash hall that they're going to be using. The 10th is the banquet, the 11th is the flag ceremony. So just so everybody understands that, the 10th of January is the banquet, the 11th is the flag ceremony, and the banquet hall is purely under the control of
The CMM there's not gonna be any other event there. They made sure that they you know, the schedule is clear They've got plenty of room for everybody and it's supposed to be a phenomenal cookout. Yeah, just around the corner. This year is ending. Right now it's the 20th. We've only got how many days? Christmas, just around the corner on Wednesday, the 25th. In the meantime, this weekend also, we probably will be dancing around. I don't know which facilities I'll be able to make it to this weekend.
But we do have a bunch of equipment that has come in that is going to have to be distributed. I don't want stuff piled up right now. We're trying to get it out as quickly as it shows up to the people who are supposed to have it in hand. So expect me to be at least traveling a little bit, probably Saturday. And we'll be stopping in at Camp Emmerich. I think that will be the first stop. And then after that, we will be at other places, unmentioned. Anyway, we're at the top, almost.
