That's right. The prosecutors are not supposed to be the one who decides what goes before the grand jury. His lawyer tried like hell to talk him out of it, but he knew better. Well, he made it know turn it then they're in the first place He said look this man is only sixth Amendment counsel. And it says Evans County, new details are emerging in the case of a former corrections officer, Tom Fallis. Fallis. Yeah, he's quite a dick. He shot his wife for smoking weed. He was arrested for the murder three years ago after his wife's death was ruled a suicide despite being shot in the back of the head. Now they're good at that, aren't they? You know, the guy that got it, he commits suicide with a nail gun, shot himself to death with a nail. Yeah, how the hell does that happen? And they're just, what was it, a week or two ago? One of these high up mucky mucks. Committed suicide by shooting himself in the back of the head four times. Now I can see you can pull the trigger once back here like this, but four times? I don't know, man. You pretty much blew your head off on the first one. How are you going to pull the other four when your motor skills aren't there anymore? From the first second that bullet entered the back of your head. How are you going to pull the other four shots off without a little bit of help? Big Lou Chang standing behind you with a 45. I think he's dead. I think he's dead too. The case was reopened in April of last year after previously unheard witness testimony surfaced. Previously unheard witness testimony surfaced. They couldn't hold him underwater any longer. In addition to claims that the case was mishandled by police detective Michael Yates. On Wednesday, an unidentified deputy was placed on paid leave pending an internal investigation. The deputy admitted that he had overheard Fallis confess to killing his wife on the night of her death and he responded to the scene and he never reported it to anyone. Ashley Fallis was killed on New Year's Day of 2012 after the couple had hosted a New Year's Eve party for their friends at their home the evening before. Her husband had consumed a large amount of alcohol, but became enraged when someone had brought marijuana to the party and threw everyone out of the house. According to witness testimony, neighbors overheard Fallis yelling at his wife and her pleading with him to get off her. One neighbor said that he overheard the former officer confess to the killing and one of the couple's young children even gave eyewitness testimony to police and stated that her father had killed her mother. Boy, that's going to be one screwed up kid there. The six-year-old little girl heartbreakingly told detectives that she saw Daddy getting the gun ready and saw Daddy shoot Mommy. Despite all of this, plus the gunshot being in the back of the beautiful mother's head, the detectives ruled it a suicide and allowed Officer Fallis to remain free. Kiss my ass, pigs! Yes, definitely. The family of his wife had witnessed the fight and knew the man's history of violence, however, and had pushed for years to have the case reopened ever since. Eventually, the case was reopened and Fallis was arrested for second-degree murder. The long and short of it is that our investigator was working a follow-up and a Weld County deputy said, I heard Tom Fallis admit to shooting his wife. Evans Police Chief, Brant told the Greeley Tribute. Our investigator stopped the interview and called me because that information wasn't in any of the original reports and I immediately relayed that information to the district attorney. On Wednesday, it was also reported that none of the four deputies who immediately responded to the shooting filed reports on their involvement. And then there's a link to the actual story. See how crooked they are? That's more crooked than the dogs hind leg right there. And they would do the same to any of us out here, framia or unframe themselves to get out of trouble. I don't know if you heard this one or not, Joe. One person reportedly dead after shooting at North Carolina Community College. They were talking about it on the intel report this morning when I was listening and not a whole lot to be heard or seen about this. This was in Fox News and the admin posted it from the trenches. World report today and says one person reportedly was killed and police were hunting for a suspect after a shooting at a North Carolina Community College's library Monday. Now wouldn't they normally be doing that? If they didn't already have the guy in custody, wouldn't they be searching for him? So that goes without saying. Wayne Community College in Goldsboro, I assume it was West Virginia, because that's the only place where I know where there's a Goldsboro, was placed on lockdown after the shooting. Daniel Wiggins, who Wiggins? Assistant, yeah, that guy from the Carol Burnett show that used to shuffle along with me. Assistant Operations Manager for Wayne County told ABC 11 the shooting victim died and authorities were actively looking for the shooter. See how vague they are? Earlier, Tara Humphries, a public information officer at the school, told Goldsboro News Argus that police have one suspect under control, but she later said there was nobody in custody. How does that work? We've got one suspect under control, but we don't have anybody in custody. Does that mean they're just holding them down? I don't know, man. The newspaper said school officials confirmed that one person had been shot. This is not a drill. The entire campus is under lockdown. Read a message posted on the school's website. A SWAT team and officers have arrived on the scene. The Goldsboro News Argus reports. Goldsboro Police and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Responded to a report of shooting in the college's library Wayne Community College President Kay Albertson said all school personnel have been evacuated And that's it. You know, you're screwing with people that have little to no fear. And then you're going to tell them, oh we're going to burn them buildings down if you don't get out of there. Yeah, do you think they're really scared of you BLM? Or do you think they'll be waiting for you with the shovels and pickaxes? And probably quite a few, what are those called? He would take his little mining operation out to the creek behind his... He got his kids through school, paid for it all. Sold everything they had and bought an RV and moved out to the desert outside of Phoenix They're probably about an hour outside of Phoenix going north up in the canyons and he goes back behind his RV because he Got him a plot of land right by a creek and he goes back to that creek and he mines gold dust out of it all day long And he just puts it in little bottles saves it until he needs it He doesn't have a job. Well, he worked part-time at a little gas station in the city there, not Phoenix, but the little canyon city they lived in. I think it was called Black Canyon City. Black Canyon was the name of the area where he was at. But that's all he did. He worked part-time and mined what little gold dust he could get out of that stream, and he was happy. So I imagine if these people were picking like This guy's got a handful, I can zoom in on the camera here, where you can see how much gold this guy's got in his hand. She screwed it up and so they got this other guy who used to be a CEO for Aero Pest Control and As soon as she said that I was like a whole god watch out. Here you go Well now they're gonna go from a drug company who has given them really good prices and let's say my girlfriend doesn't order until 4 o'clock in the afternoon, 4.30. They will still have the drugs that she ordered there by 10.30 the next morning, okay? And it's cheaper. This guy says we're going to this new drug company because they're cheaper. Well, when she did the analyzing, she analyzed the prices, they were a tiny bit cheaper, but you got less medication in each bottle, so that made it more expensive. And all the drugs they're telling them, you know, they order, well, some of those we can get to you the next day, but some of them it might be, you know, we'll have them there by two o'clock the next afternoon, but some of them could be up to two weeks before you get them. And so she's scratching her head going, why in the hell are we switching drug companies? They didn't come and ask me, they didn't talk to me about it, they totally kept me out of the loop on this and I'm the manager of the department that does the drugs. And I said, well, there's obviously some ring knocker shit going on there somewhere. Well, come to find out the janitor that they hired instead of me used to work for that drug company. And I would put money on it that this guy that took over the place where she works is buddy buddy with the guy who owns the drug company and they're both frickin' ring knockers. Last week BLM officials accompanied by Josephine County Sheriff's deputies issued a cease and desist order to the district without any official ruling by the courts. Specifically, the issue is not even scheduled to be heard in court until later in the year. Now wait a minute. How could the county shitheads and the BLM shitheads go out to this mining district and tell them to cease and desist and hand them a cease and desist order that's never been through a court? It has nothing backing it up. Did they think the guys were going to get scared and run off or something? Oh shit! A non-court order? Oh my god. Run off? Too great and it gets better. Yeah. The order has given the miners until 25 April to remove all equipment, buildings and supplies from the mine. Local BLM officials have threatened to burn the buildings down if they are not removed by that date. Oh God, I bet they are shaking in their minor boots and their little minor hats. The people in the district have stated that they will fully disobey the order as they claim that it is illegal and invalid. It is. Call for assistance to the oath keepers and other state militia groups has been made and there is no intention to leave the area by the deadline. This issue is far reaching implications. The outcome of this issue and the court ruling to come will affect all of America. This issue at hand is not just about the gallus miners and the gold in the ground but more about what the government says you can do with the ground in your control. These miners have the rights to the minerals in the ground and the government wants to change that. What comes next could affect every American. What if your backyard has a specific mineral that the government values by any means can come in and tell you that you cannot grow your broccoli on your land because it absorbs this special mineral. The bigger picture would affect farmers. What if gold, oil, or something like uranium was found under the farmer's crop? Does the government have the right to those minerals and have the ability to override your use of your own land? This issue will have the ability to dictate future use of our public and private lands. Only if you let it. If you don't let it and you start shooting their asses, well, I guess they'll be dead and you'll still have your right to deal with that land what you want until the next batch of them show up and you've got to shoot them bastards too. In the context of my remarks today, perseverance means to continue in a given course. until we have reached a goal or objective regardless of obstacles, opposition, and other counter influences. What is our course? What is our goal? And what are the obstacles and opposition that would hinder or divert us? Our course as members of the Church should be compliance with the principles and ordinances of the gospel. Our goal should be to fill the measure of our creation, as sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father, that is to reach exaltation and eternal life. The obstacles and opposition we beat are the temptations and enticements of Satan that are designed to frustrate the Lord's work and glory, to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. Perseverance is a positive, active characteristic It is not idly passively waiting and hoping for some good thing to happen. It gives us hope by helping us realize that the righteous suffer no failure except in giving up and no longer trying. When some people have a difficult job to do, they give up everything else until a job is finished. Others just give up. The need to persevere is expressed in the following lines, and I quote, Genius is only the power of making continuous efforts. The line between failure and success is so fine that we scarcely know when we pass it. So fine that we are often on the line and do not know it. How many a man has thrown up his hands at a time when a little more effort, a little more patience would have achieved success? A little more perseverance, a little more effort? and what seemed a hopeless failure may turn into a glorious success. There is no defeat except within. No really insurmountable barrier save one's own inherent weakness of purpose. We have numerous examples of perseverance in the scriptures, in secular history, and in our own experiences. Perhaps the best known Old Testament example of perseverance is the story of Job. As you know, it narrates the afflictions of befell a righteous man and considers reasons for those afflictions. It does not entirely answer the question of why Job or anyone might suffer pain and sorrow, but does state clearly that affliction is not necessarily a sign of God's anger and a punishment for sin, as Job's friends told him. The book suggests that affliction, if not for punishment, may be for experience. discipline, and instruction. I do not know of anything that members of the Church need more than they need the conviction and perseverance of Job. He was a just man who feared God and avoided evil. After the Lord allowed Satan to torment Job, his afflictions included the loss of his seven sons and three daughters and the loss of his wealth in flocks and herds and serious physical illnesses. remaining faithful to the Lord through his indescribable sorrow and suffering. Job was able to say, blessed be the name of the Lord, though he slay me, yet will I trust in him. He also shall be my salvation, for I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth, yet in my flesh shall I see God. The result of Job's perseverance is told, in the conclusion of the story. The Lord blessed him with a family, good health, and great possessions. He continued in his course, despite unrelenting opposition until he saw the Lord. The Book of Mormon is filled with stories of great people who endured to the very end from Lehi and his family through Moroni, the son of Mormon. The life of Moroni is especially instructive in teaching perseverance. The obstacles he faced may seem beyond belief to us. He saw the entire Nephite nation destroyed by the sword in a terrible war because of the wickedness of the people. His father and all his kinsfolk and friends were slain. He was alone for about 20 years, perhaps hiding and fleeing from savage Lamanites who sought to take his life. Yet he continued to keep the record as his father had commanded him. As a result of his perseverance and righteousness, he was ministered to by the three Nephites whom the Savior permitted to tarry until his second coming. In these latter days, Moroni had a divine commission of instructing Joseph Smith and his calling as the prophet of the Restoration and delivering the Book of Mormon record to him. Joseph Smith's determination and perseverance is another good example. After reading James 1 and 5, If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraith not, and it shall be given him." Joseph knew that he must do as James directed, or remain in darkness and confusion. From the moment he kneeled in prayer, he encountered enormous obstacles and opposition. First an evil unseen power seized him. Then he wrote, just at this moment of great alarm I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head above the brightness of the sun. And no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. When the light rested upon me, I saw two personages whose brightness and glory define all description standing above me. One of them spake unto me, calling me by name and said, pointing to the other, This is my beloved son. Hear him. This marvelous event near the start of the Prophet's mortal ministry proved to be a pattern in his life. He suffered ridicule, violent attack by his enemies, betrayal by close associates whom he had trusted, forcible separation from his loved ones, trial and imprisonment on false charges, and finally, martyr them at the hands of a mob. Yet he remained true to the charge he had received and served faithful in his calling as the prophet to usher in the dispensation of the fullness of times. In addition to seeing our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, he received instruction and counsel from angels and other heavenly beings throughout his life. Secular history also teaches the principle of perseverance. Winston Churchill is well known for his determination as the leader of Great Britain during World War II. On one occasion in his later years, he returned to a school where he had studied as a boy. Before he arrived, the headmaster told the students, the greatest Britisher of our time is going to come to this school, and I want every one of you to be here with your notebooks. I want you to write down what he says, because his speech will be something for you to remember all your lives. The elderly statesman came in and was introduced. His glasses were down on the end of his nose as usual. He stood and delivered the following words from an immortal speech that he once gave in Parliament. He said, never, never, never give up. Then he sat down. That was the speech. It was unmatched. His message was indeed something to be remembered by every boy who heard it and by each of us. We must never give up regardless of temptations, frustrations, disappointments, or discouragements. I believe that perseverance is vital to success in any endeavor, whether spiritual or temporal, large or small, public or personal. Think seriously of how important perseverance or the lack of it has been in your own endeavors, such as church calling, schooling, or employment. I believe that essentially all significant achievements results largely from perseverance. By applying this principle, some of our finest legacies have been produced. For example, John Milton was blind when he wrote Paradise Lost. Ludwig von Beethoven was deaf when he finished some of these greatest musical compositions. Abraham Lincoln was laughed at as a gangling, awkward country boy. who had many failures, but who became one of the greatest and most eloquent presidents of the United States. Florence Nightingale devoted her life to save the lives of countless wounded soldiers. All of these people left a permanent mark on the world. Their example should give hope to all of us. They succeeded not only because the Lord had endowed them with gifts, as He has each of us in varying degrees, but because they applied themselves steadfastly. Of course, the ultimate example of perseverance is our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who has and will overcome every obstacle in doing the will of our Heavenly Father. Indeed, Jesus is perfect in perseverance and has taught us to be perfect, even as He and His Father are perfect. Studying His life can help us learn and live this important principle. From the time of the pre-moral counsel in which Jesus became the Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of all mankind, through his millennial reign, he has and will persevere in perfection, doing all that his Father commanded. Because of his love for us, he offered to fulfill the plan of salvation with these words, Father, thy will be done and thy glory will be thine forever. How different from Satan's response to the plan. I will redeem all mankind, that one soul shall not be lost. And surely I will do it. Give me thine honor." The conflict between forces of good and the forces of evil persists in the world today, with Jesus persevering and striving to save souls, and Satan striving to destroy them. During his mortal ministry, as the only begotten of the Father in the flesh, Jesus again taught the gospel. At the beginning of this ministry we see his perseverance in one of the most stirring dramas ever recorded. He completely overcame every temptation that the cunning of Satan could devise. After Jesus had fasted 40 days and 40 nights, gathering a miraculous inner strength came this battle of opposing powers in the wilderness of Judea. First, Satan tempted Jesus by appealing to the basic appetite of hunger. asking him to transform stones into bread. Jesus held to his divine course and refused. Satan next tempted the Savior to cast himself from a pinnacle of the temple, saying angels would protect him if he were the Son of God. Jesus refused this request to misuse his divine power, saying, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. Satan never seldom gives up. He next appealed to a drive that causes the downfall of otherwise invulnerable individuals, the almost irresistible hunger to have great possessions. Satan showed all the kingdoms of the world and offered them to Jesus if he would worship him. Jesus commanded Satan to leave saying, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God and him only shalt thou serve. This is the type of perseverance in the face of temptation that each of us can and must exercise if we're to avoid the misery of sin. Jesus persevered through the final days of his mortal life as the mood of the people changed from shouts of Hozana to the son of David to cries of crucify him. He endured the indignities and physical abuse of his trials before Jewish and Roman leaders. Through his atonement and resurrection he provided for all mankind both immortality and the possibility of eternal life. He paid the penalty for our sins if we were repent of them. How grateful I am for the effect upon me of his love and his perseverance. Probably few of us will face opposition and obstacles like those encountered by the great ones I have mentioned. However, we each have our own challenges. and trials to overcome as we strive to keep on the right course. Often the most important trials are those we must face and subdue privately within our own hearts. I bear testimony that perseverance is essential to us in learning and living the principles of the gospel and that will determine our progress as we strive to reach exaltation. Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. He directs this church. I am grateful to labor in his service and to be a special witness of his divinity. So here are some thoughts. on the recent passing of Nelson Mandela, who died a few days ago at the age of 95. Now, the general story, of course, is that he was a freedom fighter who conscientiously resisted the racist apartheid regime of Africa, was sentenced to prison for 27 years for resistance to state tyranny and then was freed and left his enemies and was the president of South Africa and then retired to travel the world and smile be typically at a wide variety of people and meet his favorite band the Spice Girls. I kid you not. Well like most things that are talked about in the media there's not an over abundance of truth in the story. So let's look at some of the facts about this. I've actually spent some time in South Africa. My father worked there and has since retired from his job as a geologist. I know a little bit about it. I'm certainly no expert, but I will provide sources for everything in the description bar. So... Nelson Mandela got his start as the head of Un Conteau with his way, which is the terrorist wing of the African National Congress and the South African Communist Party. He claimed for many years to have not been a member of the South African Communist Party, but since his death, the documents and the Communist Party themselves have revealed that he was. He was the head of this terrorist wing and ordered massive numbers, amounts of public bombings, 156 acts of public violence he pled guilty to, including mobilizing terrorist bombing campaigns which planted bombs in public places. And he was head of this for two years before he was arrested in 1962. The terrorist wing then went on to put bombs in churches, in shopping centers, particularly around Christmas, and resulted in the deaths of many Children, women, men, and of course whatever be Christian, political regime, you can scarcely hold children responsible, but many of them were murdered by this group that he was the head of again after he left. He said that he aimed to not take human life, but if this didn't work, he would be more than willing to escalate to what happened later, which was the targeting of innocent people. And so if you've set off a lot of bombs, you're sitting on a lot of weaponry, and you refuse to renounce violence, in fact you approve of the murders that occur in the terrorist group that you founded and were in charge of, then it's really not very common for people like that to get released. from prison. So I just wanted to point this out. Amnesty never took his case. Amnesty International was not a prisoner of conscience because the movement recorded that it could not give the name prisoner of conscience to anyone associated with violence even though, as in conventional warfare, a degree of restraint may be exercised. He wrote an entire treatise on how to be a good communist. Now you may feel differently, but I think, certainly for myself, with some pretty strong historical evidence, If I said he'd written a treaty on how to be a good Nazi, you'd be pretty shocked and appalled. But statistically, historically, factually, communism has a far higher death count and murder rate and genocide rate than Nazis have ever did. We could account for Nazis causing the death of 40 odd million people. The death count for 20th century communism was in the hundreds of millions of a 70 million murdered alone. In Russia, under the Communists, and there were starvation in the Ukraine, mass starvation with the collectivised foreign policies is now at Stalin in the Ukraine and in China, of course. There were the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. The list sort of goes on and on. The democide or the murder of citizens by their own governments, which largely fueled by communism. Now of course people on the left are very prevalent in the media. They tend to be socialists slash communists and so they tend to cover up these crimes and this is why you see you know guys with pictures of Karl Marx and and Shaker Vavaro but they wouldn't have a picture of Hitler and so on. Hitler is of course rightly denigrated as evil but you can't even use the correct name of the Nazi party in Germany. Nazism is short form of National Socialism and you have to use Nazism so that the word socialism is not clouded with the accurate. You pretend that communism is on the left and fascism is on the right and so on. There's only one pole to totalitarianism versus economic and political freedom. And so there's this supposed opposite pole polarity between communism and fascism but it's not really the case. The Nazis were National Socialists and the communists were communist Socialists and So anybody who follows the communist ideology is wrapped up in an ideology that was one of the most savage mental viruses to ever steal the life of hundreds of millions of people around the world. And you can find YouTube videos of Nelson Mandela singing songs about the endless murders of white people that he thought was a great thing to happen. So I think this is all really important stuff to understand now as a committed communist when Nelson Mandela took power in 1994 in South Africa. He instituted the usual grab bag of suicidal socialist economic policies. He nationalized the banks, he nationalized corporations, he nationalized the excavation of natural resources and so on, thus causing a massive and catastrophic collapse in the economy. And everybody who was chanting, you know, and apartheid and so on, I mean, if you really care about blacks, in Africa, then you stick around after your supposed glorious revolution and find out what actually happened when the evil whites were driven out of power. And now there is a growing nostalgia for apartheid, which basically ran from 1948 until the early 90s. And 60% of South Africans now feel that the country was better run under apartheid, with both blacks and whites rated the current government less trustworthy, more corrupt, less able to enforce the law, and less able to deliver government services. than its white predecessor. Transparency International released its 2013 Global Corruption Barometer report finding South Africa to be among the most corrupt countries in the world. According to its findings, an astounding 83% of South Africans believe that the police force is corrupt. 36% of respondents admitted to paying at least one bribe to the police. Every day in South Africa there are 59 murderous 145 rapes and 752 serious assaults. This is all that is reported. A 2010 Medical Research Foundation survey found that more than 37% of men in South Africa admitted to raping at least one woman, 7% said they had participated in gang rape. This is Of course, absolutely appalling. There's a new common crime, the witch doctors say, because of course there's many people infected with AIDS. It's the rape of babies. The belief that having sex with a virgin is a cure for AIDS and of course 12% of South Africa's population is HIV positive. President Mbeki says that HIV cannot cause AIDS and that the cure is perceived among lots of people to be sex with a virgin, which creates enormous drivers towards the sexual rape or the rape of children. In response to growing violence, South Africa's Minister of Safety and Security, Steve Trevi, says, we can't police this. There's nothing more we can do. South Africa's currency, the rand, has fallen about 70% since the ANC came to power in 1994. Immigration from South Africa mainly has killed people who's now at its highest level ever. She was a big fan of what is called necklacing, which is a revolting practice wherein somebody you think is negative to the cause of black liberation, you wrap them in barbed wire, you jam. a tire over their shoulder so they can't move. You pour gasoline into the rim of the tire and you set fire to it, melting their face off, causing their eyeballs to explode, and having them die in unbelievably agonizing ways.
