Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright. And it has been a very busy, busy week. We have been going non-stop. I mean and we're kind of tired actually, but you know hey the weekends here that doesn't mean anything for us Oh, we lost here. Hey, by the way, one more thing. Our license plates. Go look at our new license plates. Michigan. It's the old 60s plate. Water, winter, wonderland. It's actually, I think, I think we did something. We changed things. I kept mentioning it to everybody. Anybody remember when the old license plate used to like say something straightforward? Michigan, the winter, the water winter, they put water in there. Water, winter, wonderland. So if you haven't seen it guys, it kind of gives you a hint. We got lots of it here. I've got so many different plates here in Maine. Half the time I look at them and don't even know where they're from until I get up where I can read the state. That's how the other ones were. Yeah, this one is very blue background with a yellow lettering. You really can't miss them. You always maybe wonder if they're worried about enforcement. Wouldn't you want to make a license plate that has good contrast so it's clearly red? Yeah. Yeah, you know, but they got the artsy fartsy characters in there and the license plates, too. I'd agree that's good. We don't have to change them until we feel like it now. until you get rid of the car. I'll keep the foggy ones. They look more like they could be any state, right? That's about true. I think that all of the states have gotten the same firm designing their license plates. Yeah, foggy bottom gray blue with some kind of an inane image on it that you can throw a dart at it and guess where it might be until, like you said, you get right on top of it. I don't know what the hell that is. Oh, that's a bridge. Oh, that's the Mackinac bridge. You know, it's hard with some of the stuff that they did. But they've gone back to really crude straightforward stamp the plate make the color out the door They used to be able to tell back in the 50s and 60s what state the car was from because of the license plate the color color Yeah Yeah, yeah, in fact Yeah, what was it? Pennsylvania used to be I think brown and brown and yellow we were blue and yellow And I always remember that cuz the brown to me kind of stood out. You know, it's like wow, where's that guy from? But Pennsylvania just wanted jumps off top on my head. Of course it was Well, you know there's there certain colors like the district of criminals red and yellow you would expect that right, you know and little hammer and sickles going all across the plate in the background like a standard communist or ID card with three other stars but not our stars. Anyway, so... Interesting. So, yeah. Hey, I just wanted... I guess we might as well talk a little bit here. I think it was you that mentioned a book written by a German officer, World War II. Oh, I can't think of the name of it now, but where he talked about Antifa. Oh yes, as a matter of fact, I'm gonna have to pull that out. Forgive me. Yes, I'll bring it up. I don't have it right in my fingertips. Yeah, it's rather interesting. I found the third one. A second and a third one. And it's interesting, it's just out of the blue, Antifa. And then the Antifa, like, you know, characters, you know, showed up and they're taking, you know, they were the ones that were the fifth column, wherever they were. And typically again, like the KGB, they were the interior police extensions, almost like the interior police auxiliaries. The interior police are the worst. Those are the ones that were in the SKVD. The ones this officer ran into where they finally had to surrender. His was the only unit that was never beaten in battle and they never surrendered. But they had to surrender at the end there. And the Antifa that he's talking about was, and Deadly Combat was the name of it. They were the German soldiers that were brainwashed and kept trying to convert all of the other POWs to communism. But the Antifa was alive and well. Yeah, it's the same thing. You know, Antifa is, you know, are the East Germans in Germany. They're the rats. All they've, they never stopped doing what they were doing is backstabbing, you know, spy rats. And since they were raised with that. the Antifa in Germany are all that kind of a monster, a little pig. There are several people that have gone over to Europe and have noticed that when you walk about, especially in central Germany, all of a sudden you got these people following you. And it's the same turds or all these, but they're the punk new ones. They're the punk secret police wannabes. And they're in Kefa. They're literally across the board. It's the Communist Party alive and well. And of course, they don't make any bones about it. But then again, neither does the one here. It's just the press lies to make you believe there's something else. Oh, they're not Communist. Yes, they are. And they're hammer and circle set. And when you get enough pictures, you can find all the hammer and circles you want amongst them. So, this is not a new phrase, it's not a new term. It comes out of the Leninist, it overlaps because it really, it's funny because although it's supposed to be anti-fascist, that's what they claim. It actually is another an acronym and I've been trying to find that because it's kind of like when you hear the term Nazi, okay? where it means nothing. It's an acronym for National Socialist, you know, the National Socialist Party of Germany and the NSDAP, basically. But what's fascinating about it is that with Antifa, there is another Soviet phrase and it makes sense when you say Antifa and then you look at, you know, how it's constructed. But it perfectly fits with, you know, Antifa, and all that kind of thing. So it was basically before it was probably associated with the young Octoberists. the young October wrists. I'll get that right, make sure I get that out, because not, you know, it's, but they basically were sent out like minions, you know, flying monkeys to go, you know, harass the people and eat out their substance. And it's kind of what Solzhenitsyn talks about and in the Czechest, okay, in the Czechest, the movie, which is still on YouTube, by the way, guys, even though it shows lots of naked people, being executed. What's interesting is if you watch when he's out there, the apparatchik, the Antifa are all coming up and quietly talking to him or passing stuff on like whispers. And that's one of the other things that, you know, these rat people were about. So it's fascinating again. It's not anything, they didn't reinvent the wheel. In fact, they're probably trying to put that square wheel on our vehicle. This is what it comes down to. I wonder how long people are in the Antifa here in this country before they realize what it is. Well, a percentage no. In fact, you know, it's like when, you know, they were mentioning something. What was it? Well, come on. The Wall Street protests, right? Yeah. When they were doing the Wall Street protests and that whole organization was there, there's somebody said, oh, it was captured by the the wokeness and the blah, blah, blah. Well, no, it wasn't captured. They were always there and they were the ones that were as much a part of it as anything. It's the other people who thought that it was doing something else that finally figured out it wasn't doing what they said it was. OK, so what it comes down to is that again, the Antifa types. Very blatantly if you looked around most of that was needless to say purge where people did videos asking questions and that was a whole thing about Twitter is they were purging just like you do in farce book and YouTube and the rest Anything that incriminates these characters by their own words You know, they flat out said repeatedly while they're standing there with the protest on on the Wall Street, which I don't have plus or minus on Wall Street don't trust me far and you can throw them because they're just as they're just another faction right now They're just doing the same thing but from another angle and it's interesting that they were bragging that oh, yeah, we're communist or we're getting calm You know, they're bringing calm, you know, some to America and they were gonna show everybody blah blah blah Well, you know the Trotsky type thing So there were plenty, many. And it was the same two people, the three or five people they were talking to over and over again. It was different events. Sometimes a whole crowd flapping their yap and chanting and jumping up and down in the process because they all get frenzied up. They become emotional. And it's rather interesting that right now, If you'll notice something, even the other side isn't mentioning Antifa. In any positive or negative note, they've been told, well, if you shut up America's stupid, they won't remember, don't you know? We won't remember this. That's really the attitude that they have right now. But they haven't gone anywhere. I've been asking, wow, it sounds like you hit a light switch. What happened to all the bus caravans going all over the country? All the money stuff, that's what happened. Yeah, so it's not an effort to win. They'll try to plug it back in. Go ahead. You also got that really bad press when they found out that the leader was stealing money to buy herself a million dollar mansion things. That's about the same time everybody shut up. Well, and that's a communist thing too. Remember, there's the old Russian joke. Russian jokes are mostly very sad things. They're not really jokes, but The Commissar has now got enough power that he has become part of the central committee. And so he invites his mother to come and stay with him so he can show her what he has accomplished. and he has her flown in by helicopter and he meets her at the helicopter with a limousine and the soldiers crack their heels and escort them to the car and if she gets in the car and he gets in the car, he takes her to the Capitol, shows her where he works. Then she's shown his latest mansion in town and it's one of the old classics. Then he drives her out of town, they takes her out through the daca out in the country and there's a lake and swans and all kinds of peasants working to make the place look like the palatial facility that it should be for the commissar. And he's got her on his arm and they're walking out to the boat dock and she looks around and she looks to the left and she looks back over towards the house and then she looks at him in motions for him to bend down to her. And she goes, this is all very nice Ivan, but what are you going to do if the Communists come back? In other words, this is not new and it's the same garbage in this air. All the communism is to me. I don't care what you know what we try to rearrange as far as verbiage. All it is is monarchism. It's amazing how we keep coming back to this centrist surrender your freedom, surrender your liberty, surrender your property. You will own nothing and be a happy subject or property of the state comrade. And guys, it's described for me a monarchist. Now, describe for me a commissar or a political officer in a communist state. The only difference is the new titles for the same kind of Soviet pecking order. I mean, across the board. And that's why, again, they just jumped the gun. The twit wasn't supposed to do it that quickly, but, well, when you got millions at your fingertips, even though, think about this, if they held out guys, Zolinski, you know, Kilinski, that's, you know, that's what Pelosi's been calling him constantly. He keeps calling him Kil-Linski, which I don't think it's an accident, okay? Oh, that is Mr. Kilinski, he's a nice Jewish boy. Well, you know, if you think about it, if they held out, wouldn't they have gotten billions instead of just millions? Isn't like millions jump change now? Hey, they could, they could have had billions. Look at, look at the scam that's that Kilinski, you know, kill, kill, kill, and ski. The Zilinski is doing over there. We could have had a V8. No, I'm more like eight billion. Maybe I'm supposed to be over here meeting with Biden now. Well, again, we've seen that over the last couple of days, that whole fiasco, that dog and pony show, someone just had a two by four smacked upside their head. And as far as that goes, I figure what they brought him over here for us, so we have an excuse to check out the mansions he's picked up, picked up with our money. Because it came full circle back across the ocean and now it's here. So wow, you know, Mr. Kelinski is going to have a place right next to like Hillary and Obama and then maybe Pelosi. Wow! It's all that we ask only because again, remember, I burned a lot of things. I destroyed stuff and that's not an accident. There's only so many copies of anything. If any copies of anything laying around of certain items. So I won't say shred burn. I just stand there in the brain barrel. Make sure it all is ash. You know, what's funny about that real quick, you know, Part of the regulation if you use a burn barrel, you have to have a mixing stick. Everybody goes, what? Yeah, you know, what quality of paper do you use for, you know, whatever you're printing or typing or whatever you get as printed material. You know, the quality of that paper is determined by weight. You know, there's 10, 20, it is very heavy gauge paper. In fact, there's paper that's well actually eventually gets up into cardstock. But what's fascinating about this is the amount of clay there's a certain amount of clay to create stability or sheen or whatever and What does that do when you print something which is of course done with a number of different minerals and you burn it and there's a clay stock involved Well, if the ash is just laying there, you literally can read whatever survived the burn. It's literally carbonized into the ash, the sheet of paper. In reality, it's now kind of like a little clay tablet. I'll bet very brittle, very thin. And this is why you have to have a stirring stick for ashes for regulation, destruction of documents. If you're going to do a 55 gallon barrel burn barrel for destruction of documents, you have to demonstrate that you actually burned it, use your authorized stirring stick, and that you destroyed and crushed and inflate all of the material in the barrel. Ideally, you just want to flop the barrel over if you can put a lid on it, roll it around, that'd be a good one. But you still think you have that all official regulation stirring stick. In a real world, everybody has thought things through. In the stupid world of the 21st century Wokai Idiot Stick Communists, supposedly they can't even handle a four or five point subject election. You know, they're so incompetent. There are so many idiot's fools and stupid people that we have processed through the public fool system. They can't even handle a process that only requires a handful of steps with pre-can technology that should be plug and play. But all of a sudden they become totally, just totally be fuddled by. A person that is befuddled by the simplicity of handling an election process should have no business being near A, the election, B, any of your businesses and not an employee even. Why? Because there's only two options. A, they're criminal as a day is long. Of course they are. I would say that's the first one. But if they're claiming that they're stupid, like you're seeing in the Arizona elections, not one of those dunderheads, dimwits or incompetence should be allowed to be anywhere near any public office, any position of authority and responsibility, and you should not hire them because they have to be so stinking stupid. There isn't any single task they can handle. Right? Right. More on that in a minute, because we're at the bottom of the hour and it's... Well, I'll tell you what, it's... No, we got to... I got to... Hold on here. I got to go through the list. I do have a short list. It's not very long here. Oh, yeah. L. Stewart. On the border. Now when else do it did this song back in the 70s it by the way is a phenomenal instrumental piece and is one of my favorites from that period but you know Considering what's going on with the lack of a border in America, don't tell me about operational security. Don't come flapping your yap to me about how we need a bigger police state. Don't come hear me about anything. You are not serious about anything. You are stinking a liar in this government. We need to go to Ukraine because of their border. All they gotta do is turn south. And it's rather interesting, especially When you look at the yuck rain and why we got to be there and Russia that's within their sphere of influence and people would say well here they Doesn't make any difference really well, you know what we have the same problem, but a reverse order is America a giant or epistolary third-rate country We're gonna be right back on the border Thank You Edward on the border L Stewart and 1975 I think I was back with the Rob the Bob Seeger album Night Moves. That was about the same time. Yeah. Yeah. It's the same era. Actually, one thing about this is Al Stewart. You know, I always bring up things with music. We're doing radio people. But Al Stewart, one of the reasons that that's that song and you know, Year of the Cat actually it's off. I think it's all off the Year of the Cat album. I believe it. Yeah, the engineer, the engineers of that period were coming off the Beatles operations and guys, what made the Beatles song so phenomenal is the engineering work behind the scenes. But the industry was totally changed. That's why they argued that it was a sigh, you know, the Beatles were a sigh ups thing and they were experimenting with the use of sound and I don't really disagree with that. because there are things that they did with Beatles music and the Rolling Stones and let's see Grateful Dead that most people don't realize. Yeah, there was there's so many levels of sound. And it's so incredibly intricate. Now, it was some of these bands, it's known because they weren't that big as far as, you know, the untouraged, it trailed with them. But a lot of the other bands that were competing had the same basic skills, but with far fewer people and they were actually accessible. Three Dog Night was right here. They were Midwestern band right here on Michigan. Matter of fact, they had a hideaway studio in the Upper Peninsula still sitting there. Nobody knows much about it. Wouldn't even realize it. In fact, it's got Willie's Jeep inside parked in the building. But what's fascinating about is all the equipment still sitting there and you will recognize if you're into electronics, you'll recognize all of the name brands, all the name companies that made up the technology. Well, where they came from and what made them powerful was the work done by these first three bands we were talking about and then other stringers. At the end of the Beatles cycle, because nothing lasts forever, the Beatles split up, as you all know. All of the engineering technology, they stayed into a core group, but there were other elements that had worked, like anything else, people come and go. They took their expertise or a part of the expertise with them. And that's what happened with the L Stewart, Year of the Cat album. That's why it's got phenomenal depth and very rich sound. It's that's one thing about it when when and again the instrumentals when they kick in They they catch your attention That's right off the bat It's one thing about certain pieces of music and why they're kind of timeless you can play them and everybody is like wow That's pretty cool. It's because though they snag your brain almost immediately, but it said more than one level And one of the things that they haven't done with Stewart, L. Stewart, that they've done with some of the other bands, Old Blackwater, Keep On, you know, remember that one? Yeah, keep on rolling Mississippi. Yeah that one. There's four versions of that song at least and in fact I probably missed one or two in between. What did they do? They didn't read you the songs. They re-engineered them. They went back into the studio and took the multiple tracks and brought up the background that you barely could hear. It was literally edge subliminal. Now with the Beatles, they're the same thing. I've mentioned many times that this is also done with, for instance, Well, I should mention Bob Seager, but Seager is again, an accessible band, big band, but smaller operation. A lot of intricate technicians, technical people, etc. Now, for instance, the cars, not so accessible, big band, big band, bigger than you might realize. And again, took full advantage of all of the technological expertise that came out of the 60s and early 70s. There's two versions, variations on what you hear. It's interesting, you might notice this if you pull out all your old albums, is when I, you know, the dimension, the level and dimension of the music. Now part of what you're going to have a problem with is a lot of your older stuff is mono. Even up until 70, 71, even 72. A lot of music was produced on mono because the recording studio was never closed down and if you couldn't afford top of the line and if you couldn't afford the platter that way, stereo, because of all the other support that was necessary, then you went to a lesser studio. However, almost all these bands, if they ever got bigger and got money, usually turned around and went back and remastered all of the music in stereo. And that's Jeff Rotol. You'll find that with cars. You'll find that with a bunch of these other bands you'd recognize if you went right down the shopping list. You know, we played Golden Earring the other day. Golden Earring is a lot older than you'd think. Everybody thought, well, it came out with Radar Love. It's like, you know, they were around way before that. And in fact, a lot of their music was mono. And when they moved into stereo and had more money as they went through the system, their technique changed under the, you know, behind the primary sound. Sound is, you know, again, it's like we've always said, you can play a certain piece of music and it'll take you right to a location. If you haven't heard it in a long time, maybe you didn't just bother looking for it again. And you play it, all of a sudden you're in a location wherever you were 10, 20, 30, even 40 years ago. Boom, it's like right there. I just imagine I can image something So that's how strong everybody knows it smell taste. They're strong Sound is the same way, but we just are so inundated with so much noise even though we do we only need all the noise pollution. No, no we didn't not really but It's it's critical because again from the subconscious perspective or you know the looking at it from a subconscious direction One of the reasons sound is so critical is because it's part of the fight-flight routine. The rustling of the bush, a snarl, a growl, the clacking of claws, and other sounds are ingrained deep into your fight-or-flight mode. The racking of a shotgun. The re-sang of money built in. Yeah, two sounds that my dad just said, he said, you know what, you're in a bar. And everybody's deciding they want to just mess everybody up. You want to make a bar get quiet real fast. There's two sounds and every bartender knows this, but shows us anybody who's tried to be a peace officer. A, you can rack that shotgun, but there's a big difference between racking an empty shotgun and racking one with a shell, isn't there guys? And I'll tell you what, people hear that poop when that chamber closes on that rack shotgun. Oh, the bar gets real quiet, real fast. And the other one, a double barrel shotgun doing the same thing. And there's a big difference between closing the chamber, closing the chambers on an empty gun and hearing that as the gun closes and that vacuum, that vacuum suck takes place. All of a sudden, and a double barrel is a lot quieter, but it's amazing how that telltale sound. We'll get everybody's attention. As the barkeep, you don't have to pull the trigger and put a hole in your ceiling. You know what I mean? You always see that in the movies. Boom! Wow, that'd be expensive, wouldn't it? Bob's got to keep changing. You know, he's got, wow, he's got pepper shot all over the place up there. Wow, it looks like he was using four out that time. Then double by, double out over there. Every time I see a Western and they shoot through the ceiling, I'm thinking about the guys that are up there with the prophecies. What's happening to them? Yeah, here. Boom. Please do. I think you're going to make it really quiet down here and all of a sudden realistically on the second floor you hear. Oh God, this is a man. Somebody else is going to own the bar. Just something to think about. But again, the sound. So it would that to me, uh, that particular piece. Oh, and like I said, also you're the cat. I think you're the cat has the perfect. If you want to do some really slick night driving music, one of the reasons is because during that period, a sax outbound saxophone was really big. And it's almost like the cue for the end of the song because it always goes off into the fade out. And if you count through, go look at how many different musicians in that window of time use that meter, I should say that progression of instrumentation. The first Cars album, last song on the entire, either on your eight track, on your cassette, or on your album, doesn't make any difference. Or CD, because remember they kept them in order. And there's a reason, which is, it's another thing, and I haven't talked about that in a while. One of the other things about music is remember, It misses if you have albums and you play album used to be record albums guys But really it's not any different no matter what if an author a band puts a bunch of music together Part of what sells the entire package is how you place the music? So basically you don't come up with put the hit on the first, you know the first track No, you don't do that, but you do put a good, obviously you want good music, but there's basically like an opening band piece, so to speak. And then it builds up and then if you've never heard the album for the first time, there's that hit or that song that you recognize, which really draws your attention. But there's also a flow. And let me point out, point to any album you could go to look at. or go to listen to it, stare at the elbow molding, get nothing out of it. But if you go listen, I want you to pay attention. What's the first note of the lead in, whether it be a soft fade and work up or a slam shot, whatever, doesn't make any difference. Listen to the first note coming in and pay attention to the last note coming out, and then go to the next and redo. You know, take a piece of paper. And you know what's fascinating, you'll see a sine wave. to the whole process, but when it comes time to lead out, I always have fun doing this. One I've had a chance to play DJ is taking and picking songs that are just absolutely cued from the outtake of one to the lead up with the next. So you can't hardly even tell that there's a break in the shift from one song to the next. And it's not hard to do if you pay attention to the album. And you'll recognize the artists each time, but it's fascinating how this is another part of in the industry. When they put the albums in a certain order, two things happen. It registers with the customer. If you take and throw an album in there and you have like, oh, so I've got a Cars album and they hear one song that they recognize. Maybe they weren't paying attention, but there's that song that tracks your attention. I told you before it draws your mind. Well then they're listening and all of a sudden the next track, you know, it's like it's another piece, but it's not from that album or it's not in order. And it actually forces people typically to be inquisitive. What album you're playing or what is that? Well, obviously it's Cars. Yeah, but you know, you're playing a whole Cars album. Yeah. And then actually people will get curious because especially if it's their area of interest. And then they're like, well, that's not the album I have. Which one is, you know, like what is that? And it can be a greatest hits. How many bands have greatest hits? Repeat slash greatest hits, repeat slash wait four years and there's another greatest hits album. It's a cheap way to make more money off what you just did over the last five years. Or 10, or 20, or 15. Especially since it's the greatest hits up. That's what's kind of fun too. I collect music like that and just randomly look at things and it's like, well that's the greatest hits from 1971. Well, that's the greatest hits from 1977. Wait a minute. Well, that's the greatest hits from 1985 and they just keep adding and adding. It's like a Revlon commercial and so on and so on. So remember, just because you saw greatest hits doesn't mean you shouldn't read. It might be have something you wanted, but wasn't on the collection part of the collection. What they always hit the wall with is the amount of federal intervention and attack on production that takes place. So there's all kinds of cool videos and they're being real dynamic and it's really exciting and then they just disappear. Why? Well, not all of it will disappear right away. It'll go sideways and disappear into a government inventory somewhere, kind of like Indiana Jones with the Ark of the Covenant. Well, who's checking it out? How much energy is applied in a focused manner to accomplish that? Have you ever seen when an Osprey comes in and they didn't warn people to get out of the flight path and it's on its last approach towards the ground? Anybody see the video of the Osprey flying over all the people that were in the park? And as it comes in over the treetops, there's a guy that was on a ladder and he goes about 40 feet in one direction flying through the air and the other woman at the tables. They didn't think about how they were approaching. And they went right over this park to this event. And there's about 15, 20 people flying like ragdolls in every direction. Why? Well, it's focused thrust by the nature of what you have to do because it's a breaking, it's a different, it's totally different from conventional rotary wing, which can be pretty aggressive if you're underneath a helicopter, needless to say, and it's full thrust, it's pretty impressive. But the pilot has a way to cue out the energy and by the time you get to a land point, closer to the ground, most everything is in neutral mode. You're literally, it is a Every aircraft landing is a controlled crash. Now how the formula gets to final destination in terms of that controlled crash, there's different ways you can apply a certain amount of thrust and energy to accomplish that. If it's rotary wing or any of these vertical takeoff aircraft, now why do I bring that up? Because we're just joking about, you know, there's probably other stuff out there. Well, the Germans came up with and they used it in this Man in the High Tower BS series. where they actually, you know, the future was totally different for the alternate universe where the Germans were in charge. The German post-war vertical takeoff plane that they made during the Cold War was applied. I would point something out. Those are cigar engines. Anybody notice? More in line with what you see in the series like, and I always bring it up, is Johnny Quest. You also see it in a lot of other sci-fi movies. But here's the problem, or in fact, even right now, I saw something I looked at, it's like, Do you realize what that would be like? If you take a high thrust jet engine and focus it down, how much energy is there underneath that engine, guys? Now, we have a problem with helicopters kicking up crap as it is. And by the way, it can also kill the helicopter if you're not careful. But all of these other higher velocity horizontal flight alternate geometry aircraft, the Osprey is the least damaging of the bunch and it's a lacious. But when you have focused thrust aircraft engines, oh, whatever you're landing on better be pretty resilient because if it's got anything like chunks of gravel, chunks, we'll say asphalt, it's not really great shape and you're gonna land in that area. What do you think is gonna happen when your little turbo rocket thruster, your jet engine thruster, focus straight down to stop you from crashing? for I should say hard crashing because you're still technically every landing is a crash. All of a sudden that energy gets closer to the ground and it's focused within a very narrow beam. What do you think is going to happen with random objects that are loose? They're propelled. They become, again, it won't be hypersonic, but they become lethal projectiles. In fact, God help you if you have another aircraft nearby. And in fact, this is something else you should notice. Have you noticed when they take when the Osprey is operational, they have to get out away from everything else before they start, you know, active motion. Granted, you typically do this with anything that's an aircraft. There's a couple of reasons, not the least, which is, you know, safety. But it's more important with these aircraft because of the amount of focused energy And the areas where they're actively landing, of course, if it's a rural or an obscure area in the field, you don't care what you do to somebody else's property, especially in a war zone. But the fact is that these things are a lot more dangerous. So it's just a vertical takeoff with focused energy jet engines. They worked out all out years ago. Grumman had a couple of ideas that totally worked. The Germans, I mentioned that already, they had one twin engine model totally worked. But they just dropped it because it didn't have any non military application per se. And if they couldn't get the fed money or government tip money from somebody to do it, then it costs too much to operate, which is also true of the Osprey. It is not something everybody's gonna run and go boy, I want 10 of those. It's bad enough that conventional helicopters are a problem. Now, this is just examples of issues with the technologies that have just been made to disappear. It doesn't mean they don't work, okay? But fusion worked. Fusion came up, in fact, KMS Fusion, I almost worked for these guys. I actually went to school with one of them guys, the other guy I knew, both of them created KMS Fusion. Look it up, go back and look it up. Look at the history of it. If there's anything real left in the system, and who knows, they could have purged it. The spooks and kooks Look what they did with Twitter. Expand that into everything else that you've been thinking might be legitimate with regard to the database out there. Especially if it's something that, wow, if they could do that out of a garage, that means anybody could do it out of a garage. And if you could create, if you could go low tech to basically develop the fusion technology to produce a fusion system. Then that means anybody could once the technology was understood. It's like we're working a car engine It's complicated But you know what a lot of people worked on that old v8 runner right underneath the shade tree Lifting the hood pulling that off pulling the engine with a chain off of off of one of the limbs of the trees and Assembling and disassembling right there on the spot And an engine is, contrary to what you're saying, oh, that's not that sophisticated, really. Have you ever worked on a car engine? The same synchronicity, the same idea of intricacy of parts is no different with fusion or with any other mechanical system. For that matter, nuclear. It's the materials that are like embarrassing when you make mistakes with fission. They tend to be terminal, okay? But the mechanical process of fusion is nothing. a freaking fission is nothing. Seriously, it really isn't. If you take a look and then nobody says it's like, oh my God, it's space age technology. Yeah, so we used to teach Americans. So in mechanics, we're part of American, the American structure of education. In fact, if you listen to some of the dribble that's been coming out the last several days here from all these these twerps that have been produced by the present public full system, it's an embarrassment to our country that these people are allowed anywhere near a position of authority. I'm not talking about just fusion. I'm talking about stuff I've listened to where it's like you've got to be bat, bat, whack crazy. You are bat, whack crazy or dumb as a stinking box of rocks. Take your pick. Go ahead. A new new man. I'd like to see any of them actually do the calculations for a V8. Around the center stalk of a crankshaft. Show me the math on them. Bet you they couldn't do it. Yeah. Yeah, just for calibrate. Well, again, that's the problem we've got. So this is why I was looking at this and it's like so they dug up fusion again. Now they dig it up, they clang, clang the bang. Okay, ping, ping, ping, ping. Look over here, bang, bang, bang. But it's all shallow hell. And but originally when KMS fusion came to power, I almost the job I would have had a KMS fusion. I actually went through the whole facility. It was only one building back then. Well, too, because there was another facility. Everything was in that complex. Everything was on the south side in the industrial park right next to the Ann Arbor Airport. Okay. And what I, in fact, it was stuff that I've ever been very familiar with. I would have been working camera operations and what we call basically the chute tank where you take the pellet, drop it. First of all, we started out with just taking a pellet, mounting it on basically at the end of a pin. Okay, the thing is so stupid, so small. And being able to focus and properly align the multiple battery of lasers that impact and activate the first, create the little mini sun, start the mini sun up. Step one was to demonstrate you could do it with the pellet, crush the shell, the gases, everything internally is combined simultaneously in the rupture of the cell when the energy hits and you get a flash. It's kind of like a spark from a match. The next step, which was already finished, all this stuff was already done. Understanding how to make that happen is finished. It's ancient history by technology standards, guys. Yeah, I stood right there. He said, well, we already done this a million times. We have to do this because of federal guidelines. We have to go through so many tests. And I stood there while they did three shoots on the target, even though they already had a feed system set up to accurately drop another pellet. And it's a micro pellet. It's incredibly small. Okay. and drop another pellet in and fire again. Drop another pellet once there. Once the first one is started up, the lasers only, they actually are phased because they don't need to expend as much energy. And once you get the thing going and you focus and we should say reinforce the burn, then it's kind of like the, although it's just one piston, there's not eight, it's like an engine, a car engine running. that energy available can be directed in a number of different ways to operate a number of different mechanical systems. And the energy is unlimited, okay? But remember something that the Fed is what buried this, the ring knockers, all these terms are what buried it because once this technology would be on the shelf, I think the closest thing to understanding how The kind of somebody incorporated this recently the expanse and nobody really thought twice about it, but the propulsion system is a is a pellet fusion system. There's a couple of episodes where they're trying to use it in this null space area where the. where the alien thing has basically got control of the environment, the blue goo, okay? And what happens is all of a sudden the laws of physics don't apply, because they're trying to start the unit up, won't start. And they go through and drop another, they're actually using the procedure that I just described that I saw, what, 40 years ago? I mean, I was a part of it. I could have easily walked into that job, disappeared, and I've been doing that probably most of my life. because it was a really interesting subject totally related to, well, if we have fusion, we got space propulsion. Lo and behold, they all know that. But here's the thing, it's 70s and early 80s technology again. This is not new. And even the basis for that goes back to the 50s. They knew about it. And they were, it was made to disappear. So it's not that it wouldn't work. And it's not, and it should not and would not replace all of the other technologies. This is the S9 part about the stupid. Well, they do this for control. That's why they're limiting fusion for control. You could have fusion engines that would be the size of a small car engine. And yes, that's what would run everything. The whole package would be the size of a slant six or a V8 engine, a small block V8. That technology is easily foreseen. It was easily imagined. and it could be applied in a number of different ways. Now, remember, here's the thing. Sounds good, but it's not just the pellet that had required specialized materials. Because of the nature of the amount of energy being applied, think more beyond diesel in terms of power. And diesels are a very different package, even though they're a sister. diesels and gas in petroleum, or forgive me, combustion engines, regular combustion gas, combustion engines, two different worlds. You can live in both. We have both parallels side by side and one has not done away with the other, has it? In fact, it originally was the idea, oh, you know, diesel, they're going to completely replace gasoline. Well, they didn't. Now there's another reason because within the world of petroleum products, POL, they play a roller coaster back and forth and they're playing this game right now. By the way, we were supposed to have a diesel shortage, remember? What happened to that? Oh, I know, I know what happened. Government stepped in and the oil company's got some compensation so everybody shut up and got their deal. That's what happened. And part of it, and I will say this still again, they're planning on a war. So the shortage with regard to diesel had to do with how much they were extracting from the inventory, the strategic inventory or the general product inventory that you and I would access or truck drivers would access. They were sliding that sideways because they have to build up a reserve in preparation for them starting World War III. They know the history and they're not stupid in that respect. There's enough people that are going to explain to them and they might buy into it. They don't care about spending your money. They'll do that in a heartbeat. So we don't have a diesel issue for the moment. But fusion, the problem is also that remember while it is a simple, none of these technologies are that grossly over complicated. One of the things that enhances management is a thing that is newer, but still not really new because we had microprocessors in the 70s and we had microprocessors in the early 80s. But we have improvements which were logical next step, next step, public access doubling of capacities. Anybody ever notice this? That all they've done every time we have a new and innovative computer, all they do is double the capacity. How does that happen? What's involved with the math on that? I understand the mechanics of it. I also know the math. I understand what they're doing. The part of it is also being able to sell a product, creating a fiction, when in reality you could expand to that higher level of technology very quickly. But on the other hand, if you market properly, you can keep telling people to come back and get a new car. Oh, I'm sorry, come back and get a new computer. Is it any different the way they sold the product? The same bullshit with computers that they've been doing with cars forever. Now there's a few things that have improved with cars mechanically, just like everything else. If you come up with a fusion system, you're going to run it. When you run a fusion system or any mechanical system, you're then going to run it in service and find out where you have a weak spot with long-term real world operation. This is where the rubber meets the road. You can come up with a design. You can do all of even the traditional American mechanical research of the prototype, not computer graphics. That's worthless. You need to build it. You need to see it. You need to run it to what's called destruction. And you need to identify what was the what the failure was. Now, this is why when you do prototyping, you don't do one prototype. Unless it's something incredibly goofy complicated like you see with aircraft where well they do two or three prototypes. Why? Well, they're hand built and doing something like that. It's that's like a Renaissance art project. Okay, nothing on the aircraft is standard anything. It has to be built by hand, making it with the most expensive possible example of the aircraft ever. But with lesser technology, You can build multiple prototypes. This is true with when you're doing engines and you're doing whatever. Now engines are nothing new. A car engine, for instance, every year when they come up with a new idea, they may have a new model of engine, maybe, maybe, that they'll crank out. Now, for at least a period of time, they run the same engine design, but at a certain point, they also want something to replace it that they feel supposedly is better, though I don't see how. And in fact, we have seen no real improvements mechanically with regard to automobiles in a very, very, very long time. Longevity is because of application of materials. In other words, where I used to get 110, 120,000 miles out of a car, and after that, she was long on the tooth, we're now looking at 200 and 300 more thousand miles. Hell, it's easy to get half a million miles out of a car rather than buy a new one. If you're smart and you just keep reinvesting in it, you're really better off and you'll reach that half million mile mark. especially if you just take care of it, treat it as the most expensive second to your house mechanical or durable good purchase item you have. We used to think that way before we were conditioned to throw away society. With mechanics, for instance, here's the thing about fusion. Initially, you're going to have a problem because at some point the system is going to have a failure that you can only discover from use. You can't find out by computer study and even prototyping won't tell you everything that you need to know about mechanical operation of a system, especially a virgin system. Do we have a lot of fusion generators running right now or fusion engines? Well, not really. So we have to build an alpha model. The alpha model has to run. It runs for a period of time and all of a sudden something goes into brain fart. The thermocatic flow dad all of a sudden plugs up and we have a rupture of a directional vessel or something that is critical to maintaining operation. The thing, it shuts down. So we have now, we stop. We look at, we have not one, but we have three, four, five, 10 examples of that with an alpha production model. And we look at it and we go, okay, now we can see that we have a stress issue. Very quickly, there will be an M6A1 model. After a while, there'll probably be an A2 model. Why? Well, we found that thermokinetic flow dad should have had a 45 degree angle to it. We should have reinforced the material on that side with some kind of casting bars or frames or reserve. And by the way, we're talking small components. We're not talking stuff the size of your house. We're talking, if I want to get it so I can make it usable, then I have to beef it up. And by the way, what I just described is what we've talked about many times. This is what Edison did. When Edison built the Edison battery, okay, one of the finest batteries on the planet even to this day for design. What did he do? Well, he wasn't exactly in the space age, but what they did is they built the battery. He walked now, think about this. You're thinking, you know, this is what he was looking for was rugged and durability. So after they built it and they put all the components together, He picked the battery up. He walked over up the stairs to the first flight of stairs, put his hand out the window and dropped the battery out the, well actually both hands, dropped the battery out the window. What? He dropped the battery out the window and it broke. Now the battery didn't shatter and break open, but a component broke. And he will put it back together. First of all, he took it apart, looked at it, well what failed there? Wow, looks like that was, you know, it fractured here and here where there are two connections. Okay, beef that up. I want that to be heavier. I want to figure out what material we can use. It's going to be a little more, you know, can handle a more rugged strike like that. So they built him another one. What did he do with the sec? Well, with more than the second one, but the third, fourth one. What did he do with the next one after they built the new and improved model and they got everything on it. Walked over to the steam stairway, went to the second floor. and threw the battery out the window. This is crude. Yeah, but what was he doing? Okay, it's the least likely thing that would happen. But he was demonstrating he applied a certain amount of energy. The design bounced. It broke. Then he took it back inside and they looked at it, evaluated where it needed to be reinforced or how they could prevent a failure based on that. And they built the next model. And when they built the model that Edison liked, that's the one they sold. What did he get a product where it would go into the rail industry went into telegraph he literally Powered the telegraph is what it comes down to he came up with a battery that was used right up until even now and There are still pods of those Edison batteries all over the country in backwater places That every once in a while somebody discovers and if they're smart they keep them because you can rebuild them forever Well, that's what the fusion motor would work. It would work if it was properly developed. Granted, if you decided that the new Mark 6 was better than your old Mark 1, you might decide to, you know, sell it to the scrapper or more likely sell it to a marketeer because you'll get some money for it because somebody else doesn't have a fusion motor. But you have one and you want the newer one. This is how a progressive infrastructure of models and designs develops. How well they're maintained is determined by serviceability. How reliable are they? Amazingly enough, let me point something out. How many Model Ts and Model A's are still hanging around out there, guys? How many are down the road from you? I would say that, seriously, if you were to think, yeah, you know, there's about three or four people in town that have Model A's or Model T's. How old is that engine? Now granted they probably didn't pop wheelies with it and you know and drag race with the thing But the thing has probably been in service for the whole time since it was built and that's an internal combustion engine designed to run off gasoline When was it built on the well, let's think about this It was built on the in the age or the edge of the horse and buggy era So we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that we could produce a modern propulsion system if we based it not upon all of the more sophisticated hype technology that we applied to the present motor. But if I virtually, if I was in post-Pocky clips and I had, let's say past World War III, let's say that they get what they want, the nukes fly, and we get a kind of really bad world afterwards. But there's a lot of stuff that survives. Now, what would you build? How far would you have to peel back the technology to copy exactly what was done? Well, let me give you a hint. Mr. Ford went with with course crude technology, but still refined where it needed to be. Kind of like when I talked to you about building weapons systems. Okay, so that could easily be copied. But if I had to I could go back. How about the steam power? Interestingly enough, steam power is probably more intricate and dangerous than fusion would be if it was properly applied. Fusion isn't going to happen. You don't have to worry about residual radiation now. Now, let me add something to that. The area where more testing I would make mandatory would be to determine what type of residual radio slash radiation fields are generated by a fusion generator. All of the conventional fears were surveyed and tested with working models of the fusion systems that were available. And they were not of the same family as fissionable reactors, which is why every system of fusion is much safer. However, every system produces some harmonic activity in the radio spectrum range up and down the scale. It can be down in the basement or it can be up in ultra high frequency. It can be anywhere in between. It can be also in the dirty bands, which are dangerous. And so that is what you're looking for. That is what you want to test. That is what you need to observe. Beyond that, eventually it would be simpler. It would be easier and simpler and it would be even more modular. than a conventional internal combustion engine made at this time. Or for that matter, made for the last 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years. Because we have actually some pretty sophisticated engines out there. Or compare it to, it's more sophisticated than a car engine, less sophisticated than a jet engine. But what would restrict it is immediately federal regulation, needless to say. So you have the same problems with maintaining the system, which is why it would not be economical would be because of government burden. Not because it was a not a good idea, but because intentional government burden would be put upon it to prevent you from having it. To prevent it from being easily maintained or personally maintained and put into service. In other words, it's why a lot of aircraft don't fly very much. You know, the cost of maintenance is on aircraft, on a plane. It ain't the razor, it's the blades, kids. You can buy aircraft out there right now, which we've been doing quietly. There's a lot of planes out there for a few thousand dollars, and they really aren't bad aircraft, and they're not outdated, and they're not really going to fall out of the sky. But in order to get them properly, quote, unquote, certified, put brackets on that. and get a squeeze on the butt, a pad on the head for properly doing everything that needs to be done. Oh God, it's more than the cost of several aircraft. And that's how they regulate us to the point where we are in stagnation with regard to all technology because it eradicates their greatest fear, which is that we will be free. That we would actually be free. And we learned it years ago. We shot their ass down and got rid of them. And we got free for a while. Well, we ain't free no more. Go ahead, Cole. I'm sorry. Yeah, thanks, Mark. You said free. And I had a I got an update on Ronald Strasser. He went to court today. This is his second or third visit now. And since he's been back to the county. And they still have that, you know, public pretender that he's removed twice. And they wouldn't let him speak. And now today they piled on more charges. They're now charging him with some kind of illegal weapons. and growing marijuana in California. And now apparently there's a warrant out for his son, Brandon, where he was living. And, you know, this was since June 22nd. And did you receive an email at that? I had Rod. e-mail you a five page document that a gentleman, Charlie Daniels, I don't know if it says that anywhere on it, but to your liberty at provide.net. I don't know if you've got it. I haven't seen it so far, but that doesn't mean it isn't there. I have to go through. I've got about a thousand some-out e-mails right there. Sure. It would have been a few days ago. But there was a five page document that this gentleman, Charlie Daniels in Colorado produced and it's been served on the House Judiciary Committee, the DOJ and the court. that you know, Ronald's dealing with. And Charlie said he's gotten over 400 people released from every single thing they've been accused of with that document. And he's very successful. This is his claim. So Rod filed that on behalf of Ronald. And the DOJ received it today. The court should have received it today. He didn't mention the House Judiciary Committee, but he did send everything registered, return receipt. And anyway, that's the update I got so far. And he's supposed to be calling Rod this evening. Give us more info. So That's all very good. I appreciate that I was wondering if we're gonna hear anything. No, that'd be well before Christmas So he still he's he's still locked up. No. Okay. They've got all these charges, but no bond Nothing. No, but zero bond broad called called the jail or the court or something and wanted to know about bond or bail. And they said, no, zero bail, zero bond. And he said, well, the judge decided that there would be no bond on Ronald. So I don't know what kind of games they're playing here. But now again, and I asked Rod, what do you mean what weapon, what kind of weapon? They're saying some assault weapons, maybe more than one. And obviously they're reaching now. Cuz this is all brand new stuff since June 22nd. I don't get it. How can they come up with this crap? Well, rule number one, I mean, just flat out fabrication is not uncommon. It sounds like this court. and the prostitute or and the area is used to its it's similar to a case that we covered extensively up in the Dakotas. I mean literally they lie. Not kind of sort of and people always have their different epiphanies on this as they experience it. But the logic is it was most only be here. Now they these there are little duchies of criminal minds. that have gravitated to government. They're rubbing each other's bung hole. They're usually in the same little pack. They're into everything from, and I'm talking about government, they're into everything from drugs to pedophilia to queerism. They're their own little clique. We had one in Livingston County. They would get bare butt naked in the back of their cars, right virtually anywhere around Brighton, Michigan. Well, they were attacking a church and so the church everybody just agreed to go Watch the other side and lo and behold they ended up taking pictures of their You know stripping bare-ass naked just like Janet Reno got caught three four times doing the same thing underage girls kids all kinds of wicked stuff and It's it's When they get away with it, it just gets to be worse. And of course, this reflects also on how they operate within the court, how the prostitute or operates in here cooperates with the fudge slash the fudge packer, a judge, whatever you want to call it. And the game is repeated ad nauseam and they get arrogant. And it's reflected also in the departments and agencies that are operational in the area. Sheriff's departments are no different. The same kind of issues with them. Repeat, repeat, repeat. Good people don't gravitate to the positions of control. It's typically the criminal and the criminally minded or fellow travelers that do. That's just all there is to it. Now, that doesn't mean that proper administrative paperwork can apply. But remember, they're used to the idea of just rolling over and ignoring everything. This is the problem with the Admiralty Court, which again arbitrary and capricious. As I've said, but the fact that they, what I'd like to see is, okay, well, okay, how many charges they have on him now? Any idea? How many different things are they stacked on? The original charge of attempted arson and then now, that was the only charge. And now they're adding this weapons and growing marijuana. And it's not illegal to grow marijuana in California. So I don't know. What the hell? Are they grasping at straws? Because now, because of whatever wheels got are in motion from your side and our side. You know, is that what they're... And now what about the SAFETY Act? Is that taking effect January 3rd in California with no, you know, no detention? I've tried to have Rod pull that up, but he's finding the Illinois one, but I thought it was in 21 states, including California and New York. Didn't we talk about that on your call? Right. Well, that's another thing. Well, it may be arbitrarily enforced in that maybe he's not dark enough. You know what I mean? In other words, if you were black or Hispanic, you'd be out on your ear so fast you wouldn't know it happened. But because he's, you know, white, that in and of itself, well with regard to the agenda, if you take a look at where are you in Comi-land, California. Now the other thing to remember is the idea behind, since they probably again have a very, you know, anytime they stack a rack. They have a very weak if no if non-existent case and the idea is you keep adding more on this has been the norm because they do not want to have to go to trial and So they're trying to get a plea marker They're trying to get a response and for someone to surrender themselves You know for a percentage of what is a loss as opposed to well look we can do this and this and this to you You see how that works. In other words, they weren't stacking before under the logic that you just all you surrender. You just surrender. Most people still make a deal, maybe even just down the attempted arson, which by the way, that is a remember this. There's nothing about this. The attempted arson, I guarantee is rated as or arson. Arson is a violent crime. And remember, that's the scam they pulled with the well, we could take all your rights away because you know, it's a violent crime. Well attempted arson which is kind of like some you know attempted arson. Well, it's either arson or it's not arson Okay, so what is attempted arson? Makes no setting of itself. I mean I read a message Right. I understand what their scam is but it's like because what we can always have a lesser charge Well, it's either arson or it's not arson. No matter how you look at it You either got the fire going or you don't have a fire going period And even if you're in the process, I mean, in this case, well, no, because there's so many elements of this story from the beginning where if you're coming in and listening to your new listener, it would take time. You have to go back to our archives, go into the programs you've done, and watch for anywhere we've had. Ronald's case brought forward down the air because it takes time to go through. However, the fact that they've added other charges out of the blue And before they had to charge his son? Correct. All of a sudden now a warrant for his son for an illegal weapons charge on him. It's just a distraction. It's just like, okay, they said I'm on fire in the hospital. Okay, so this is just a hypothetical thing. But they sit in the hospital next thing. Oh my gosh, you know what? You have liver cancer. Okay, so we're gonna take out your liver while you're in your, okay, oh, thank you so much. And so now he's sitting in recovery. Next thing, oh, guess what? His feet fell off. Oh no, we're gonna take out his feet. No, it's just one thing after another. He's pounding another and another and another. It's just a distraction. Horrible, horrible. Well, in this case, again, they waited this whole time. This means that bringing coming back into the court, they were trying, they were told to come up with something and throw more mud. That's what it comes down to. Right. And that is December. We're at the end of it. We're at the end of the year. This is six months later. Yeah. And all of a sudden we able to pull these out of here. We'll pull this out of our bun hole. So it's typical for one of the, it's a, the collusion between the prostitute and the judge to try and press the case. Remember the Erwin Rommel School of Law, right? The court is the battlefield, the judge, an enemy general, the prosecutor, an enemy officer, your personal defense attorney, an enemy spy. That's how it works. Now, there's a whole group out there. Remember, they look up the Erwin Rommel School of Law. There's a lot of work that applies, or I should say, there are a lot of techniques that were developed by that particular group that can be effectively used in the case that you're dealing with. But there's a lot of other people that have been helping, and they may already have affiliation or are familiar with overlapping most everything that everybody else eventually discovers when it comes to dealing with Admiralty Law. So since we're not dealing with common law here, remember this is specifically working in the Admiralty Court. So that's the people that if you're going to apply their science, then you need the people who have worked in the and studied in that theater. And that's what you get. So what you're looking for is a solution unless those other people who have recommended solutions are. pulling you from the court and stepping forward with demonstrations of why it is that the court is not legitimate and cannot operate against you. That's why in many cases people say, well, we've used this action and we've freed 14, 1600 or a couple thousand people. Typically what it is is they've come in and they've extracted the person, they've demonstrated that you have a working knowledge or you're associated with through the filing, with having the working knowledge of the actual function of the court. And it's the old story that as we've said many times, there's a trap, there's a trap door, but there's an escape hatch. And it's right there in front of you. They don't even conceal it. It's just you have to find it. When you find it, you have to apply it. When you apply it, they have to acknowledge it. But if you do none of the above, then you're trapped in the room with a hatch and access way, a door out right in front of you. But because you continue to operate, in their venue and under their guise, then you are trapped within a very narrow, narrow corridor with all the energy applied by them. They asked a question about the bill reform act. I can't find any information on when that's going into affecting California, if it is going into affecting California. But there is this piece, California does away with cash bill for those who can't afford it. Again, the question is who decides who can't afford it. This is from NPR and the article itself actually has a read. It will read its own article. So I'm going to step back, let it do its thing. Support for NPR comes from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, a private corporation funded by the American people. In California, the state Supreme Court has ruled to end cash bail if a defendant can't afford to pay. The decision centers around the case of retired shipyard worker Kenneth Humphrey. In 2017, he was arrested and accused of stealing $7 on a bottle of cologne from his San Francisco neighbor. The court set bail at $600,000 and later reduced it to $350,000. Humphrey couldn't afford to pay that. And now the California Supreme Court has written that, quote, conditioning freedom solely on whether an arrestee can afford bail is unconstitutional. Katherine Hubbard has worked on Humphrey's behalf since the case's initial filing. She's an attorney at Civil Rights Corps. Welcome to all things considered. Thank you, Marty. This case doesn't totally eliminate the cash bail system in California. Tell us what the ruling means. That's right. This decision means that presumptively innocent people in California can no longer be jailed while awaiting trial solely because they are unable to pay money bail. So that means that the trial courts of the state have to consider an individual's ability to pay and it says that they can't set bail in an amount that a person can't afford. unless they find that no other less restrictive alternative conditions of release can reasonably assure that person's appearance in court or the safety of the community. So it does allow money bail in that limited circumstance. And why did you view this as such an important issue? Well, This is an important issue because this decision should substantially reduce pretrial detention in California and that's really important because pretrial detention often has devastating consequences for a person's life. It often means loss of a job or loss of housing. It can mean loss of custody of children. And it also has demonstrable negative impacts on a person's case. We know that people detained pretrial are more likely to plead guilty, to be convicted, and to receive longer sentences than people who are free pretrial. And because money bail disproportionately affects black and brown communities, These negative impacts are concentrated on those communities. So reducing pretrial detention will have really significant impacts in terms of racial justice and ending mass incarceration. California is not the first state to move in this direction, and some have gone even farther. Illinois has abolished cash bail entirely. California being the most populous state in the U.S., do you think this indicates a national shift? I think it definitely indicates a national shift. And the legislature now has the opportunity to go even further in California towards ending pretrial detention in the way that Illinois has by completely eliminating use of money bail. And the Care First Coalition is working across the state on changes to transform this system of money bail in California. And just in our last minute, I want to ask about your client Kenneth Humphrey, who was released with electronic monitoring after a similar decision in a lower court. So he's not been in jail all this time. But what has he said about the Supreme Court decision? He's thrilled with the decision. He's such an important example of why pretrial release is so important. He has done everything the court asked of him and more while he's been on pretrial release and has had his ankle monitor removed and is a thriving member of the community and is just so proud to have his name on this important case. So like in New York, the gun band and everything that's going on there, and of course now they're trying to get rid of the zero bail bond thing in New York. The one that they've made really public trying to push it is the burglary of Robert De Niro's house. before Christmas where the suspect who they knew was a burglar. Okay, she had burgled several houses before. She had been arrested seven times before Robert De Niro's house was the eighth house that she broke into. The information that I have is that he was asleep, but there are other sources that say that he was awake and watched her rifling through his gifts, you know, under the Christmas tree. But that's neither here nor there. It's this zero bail policy that they've had in these areas that have caused these problems. And since they're wanting to get away from that one of the people again i get i don't i don't think the uh... i do not think that the uh... no cash bail like dad said it's you're not right he's not our uh... our friend is behind the wire there is not the right skin color i had to listen to the constant they they suppose that civil rights lawyer uh... at talk about the ruling and what it's for It's not for white people. It's only for brown and black skinned individuals. We're not the ones wording it that way. They are. So yeah, take a look at the way they are segregating and changing the laws, especially when it comes to this stuff where they want to release people that are known criminals back out onto the street. So, well, we can't you don't have to give his name out on the air. But if you know the son's name, I would do a search with the California Department of Corrections and see if they picked him up. You should be able to get a prisoner number or something that way. All right. And that would be information that it would be nice to have if we haven't talked to the sun directly. Also, you should be able to find out by going through the California Department of Corrections, there may be a cost on it, but you should be able to find out if there actually is a warrant out on him, or if it is just bullshit, excuse my language, I'm gonna say bullshit, that they're using to scare him into a plea bargain, which they do. These S.O.B.s lie. They lie. They will lie to you. Even in court, to an extent, they'll lie. But they're a little more honest in court because they know that stuff can come back to bite them. But whenever they're talking to you personally or they're talking to your lawyer, they lie. They lie to get you to, as we said, they're trying to get him to come up with a plea bargain. I think you've got to look through the sheriff's department for that though, for like county lockup records. You gotta go to the county sheriff's seat and go through their website to see if there's a prisoner by that name in there. It's different than the state level. So that's up to those you another venue. You guys may look at to see if there's actually anything there, but if you just do a quick background check with the state to see if there is any and that's where it's going to cost you a little bit of money. But just the son's name. See if there actually is a warrant out for his arrest. see if he's been picked up or arrested recently, like, you know, like while we're talking right now, see if in that window of time they made a move on the son. Because while he was, I mean, when was the last time somebody talked to his son? I'm not aware of that. Yeah, see, they might have made a move on him while he was in holding with the county or at the mental facility if they were working this angle because one of the things that they will do is they will attack family members. They've probably if they have moved on the sun, this is what they've done. They in fact, they mentioned weapon charges on the sun, right? That was what they mentioned in court. I guarantee you what they've done with his son is the same thing that they've done with him. There's all these charges that have been thrown out on the table towards him. And they'll be willing to cut a deal with him if he testifies against his dad. They'll be willing to make it if he if he is in lockup right now.
