teacher that I had. I went through the seventh grade. I went to the seventh grade. I left home when I was 10 years old because I was hungry. I used to work in the summer and I'd go to school in the winter. But I had this one teacher, he was the principal of the Harrison School in Winstance, Indiana. To me, this was the greatest teacher, a real sage of my time anyhow. He had such wisdom. And we were all reciting the Pledge of Allegiance one day. And he walked over, this little old teacher, Mr. Laswell, what's his name? Mr. Laswell, he says, I've been listening to you boys and girls recite the Pledge of Allegiance all semester. And it seems as though it's becoming monotonous to you. If I may, may I recite it and try to explain to you the meaning of each word? I, me, an individual, a committee of one, pledge. Dedicate all of my worldly goods to give without self-pity. Allegiance, my love and my devotion to the flag, our standard, oh glory, a symbol of freedom. Wherever she waves, there's respect. Because your loyalty has given her a dignity that shouts freedom is everybody's job. United. That means that we have all come together. States. Individual communities that have united into 48 great states. 48 individual communities with pride and dignity and purpose. All divided with imaginary boundaries yet united to a common purpose. And that's love for country. and to the Republic, Republic, a state in which sovereign power is invested in representative chosen by the people to govern. And government is the people, and it's from the people to the leaders, not from the leaders to the people, for which it stands. One nation, one nation, meaning so blessed, my God, indivisible, incapable of being divided. With liberty, which is freedom, the right of power to live one's own life without threats, fear, or some sort of retaliation. And justice, the principle or qualities of dealing fairly with others. For all. Which means, boys and girls, it's as much your country as it is mine. And now, boys and girls, let me hear you restite. the Pledge of Allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Since I was a small boy, two states have been added to our country and two words have been added to the Pledge of Allegiance under God. Wouldn't it be a pity If someone said that is a prayer and that would be eliminated from schools too. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press. And you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. It's a number. You trade it in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children will be. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for what you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Oh, sons of the Republic, arise. Take a stand. Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land. Preserve our great Republic and each God-given right. And pray to God, keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As I awoke he'd vanished in the mist from whence he came. His words were true. We are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each god-given right, we only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave, dill the land of the free? And good evening, ladies and gentlemen. This is the evening intelligence report. I'm Mark Kernke, one day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters, both on and behind the lines in occupied territories, Northwest, South, Southeast, and Southwest overrun. Ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to us on LibertyTreeRadio.4mg.com Liberty Tree Radio on the satellite and a myriad of other technologies. And of course, you are also listening to us on UltraNet, Hallmark, and Golden Spike Technologies, east and west of the Mississippi. along with Alaska. Good afternoon to all of our friends out there and evening to all our friends out there. Across the whole of the United States it is a beautiful weapons Wednesday. The cold just after sunset is in place right now whatever breeze we had has disappeared. The cold cover is backed off to the northwest as it stands. and it has been a perfect day for an October, you know, middle of October day. So we can't complain. It is 8.11 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and of course it is the 13th year of Opentabian Socialist and Soviet Socialist. Occupation of America with a K 2021, Old Earth Calendar 2021, Battle for the Republic, The Dance of Swords. Again, a perfect day, solar is kicking right now, all the secondary solar and some of the what I consider, you know, we don't get rid of the tired stuff, we just leave it where it is or rotate it to another secondary location. Okay Mark. Go ahead, we got a caller, who do we have? This time, hey, well, the day was beautiful up here in the highlands of Michigan too. So it kind of got breezy all of a sudden, but it was a beautiful day. I got a lot done. But up here in the highlands, it was pretty beautiful too. I think we probably hit about 80 degrees at the peak, which is pretty good for October anyway. Our Indian summer, that's what we call it here guys. Most parts of the country used to, I don't know, of course, political correctness being what it is. I'm sure the control media, you never see the term anymore, but whoa, whoa, whoa, Indian summer. When this is gone, you're going into the toilet. We know how that is. This is Michigan. So everything right now is geared towards getting ready for what's coming. And I'm really happy, a lot of stuff I finished today. There's some network that need to be done, some, you know, something that needs to be kind of boxed in. I've been using Lexan fixture bases for making bullet windows, you know, shoot windows. The neat thing is, is it's got the center hole board in it for the sink, you know, for the faucet. And these are demo fixtures and they're three tiers of ballistic Lexan. But they're stepped, so it's just like, you know, if you had to go out and buy this stuff, it would be ridiculous. This is bank window material, you know, that kind of leksan. And it's very high quality, beautiful stuff, sad parties can't take it apart and use it for like, I could use it for like little vision blocks. But instead, what I did is I ovled it out a little bit. But, you know, also have another fixture I can put in, it's kind of like a gun tank mount, but you can see all around, to visually see what's going on, but there's no bullet, you know, like in other words, unless you have a direct, direct hit and it's got to be something heavy, you've got three layers of Lexan in front of you. And the vision slit that you create, which is about five inches tall. And of course, part of that is overlap because it's sitting in a little steel frame. So you've got four inches of visible plastic, so to speak, and you've got three inches. of progressive laminate lecithin. But you can still see for it because it's very, very, he went with a very high grade, again, window glass slash, probably limo glass slash whatever. And these displays, well, they were free. So I got the faucets and I got this other cool stuff I'm playing with. So we'll experiment a little more with that, but I should again be able to share that with our friends once they stop by and visit. A neat thing too is again, you're still able to get some painting done. So anything that can take a tactical paint right now is getting covered with tactical paint. And that's it. One other thing, I'm going to tell you again, I don't do this until I get what I want nowadays. Well, it's a good thing I did. One of the companies had a deal on winter coats, Botash. Now they may still have some of the other item, but they had a winter parka. Now the greys, I almost had a bunch of the greys. I would have preferred maybe some of the greys, but they had a winter white parka up the size 3x, no 3x, extra large. And that turned out 3x was all they had left, which is perfect. Everybody goes, why? What do you want 3X for? I want 3X because a snow camouflage winter parka is an over shell. Y'all understand what that means? If I want to play Ice Station Zebra, you know, slash winter, you know, sub-zero operations, guys, I've got a bunch of the snorkel parkas. They're as old or older than I am. Some of my snorkel parkas are from 1952. They're Air Force, they're built the old way, they are windless. You don't feel anything through these, nothing. But I only have so many and they're so tired that in reality I need to kill a coyote out here pretty soon because the fur has fallen out of the fur trim, it was a real fur trim, that's how old these are. They're the real fur, the coyote and wolf contract that they did and I think most of them were wolf. But the fur is falling out, so I got these nice pieces of leather. I'm not going to take the leather off. I'm just going to have to tan another coyote hide, and I'm going to make the strips that go around. We're going to make the leather band that goes around with the fur. Well, in the meantime, because I'm still wearing my parka that I've had for, what year is this? For almost 47 years. The park I've had, I've had for 47 years and it is a, you can sleep in it. It's like, uh, it's heavier than the average sleeping bag. Um, however, I can't find those. And if you can, they want such a price for them. It's like, I am not going to buy that. But for $14 a piece for Parkas the other day, uh, in what is supposed to be a subzero parka. What I do is I bought all the three X's they had left and I'm going to make sure they have a waste ban. If they don't have a waste tie, they're going to Nancy will take care of that for me She's got her sewing system set up all of them and What we'll do is upgrade them so that they're an over shell an insulating over shell in 3x over everything and over any size person But if you have other cold weather gear this like even with a standard field jacket These are the hollow field type of you know, cold weather with the Gore-Tex type outer shield etc. So they're all ready to go. In fact, they'll handle cold wet, not just cold dry. Cold dry is really when you get sub-zero. You don't get any wet. Wet is when you sweat and then you freeze to death in the sweat. Okay? So I want to avoid sweating. But, uh, Votash sold out those because I bought the last they had. Okay? Now... They may have one other item there. They had a Coyote Brown shooter's field jacket for $10. They were going fast. I didn't get a chance to mention them last night. I probably should have mentioned them with a 2R block, forgive me. But at Botash.com, Botash.com, winter coat sale, a lot of the other stuff is gone. It was already gone even as I got the notice. But the Coyote Brown, they have them in medium. Now these are a field jacket for $10 in earth coyote brown and if you're looking for something to camel out to do your own camel with then this is a solution. Okay so if you want or again if you just use coyote brown in your area of operation a lot of places that earth brown works nicely. So, they're over at Botash.com. They may have some of the mediums. The large is sold out even as I was looking at it. I was thinking about getting some. Ten dollars a piece I was going to buy a bunch of them. And unfortunately, even as I started to do the order, it went gone. So, they may have some of the mediums left. These are the last ofs. Always remember that when you see a Botash sale. and they may have them for $10 a piece. Now what I mean by shooters field jackets is these have the zip flat blower so that you can just open up the spread there on the bottom without it being in the way and reach for a holster. They're a concealed carry field jacket. Now they're in medium only. So if you have somebody that wears medium, girls, if you're wearing a small you can wear a medium. It's a field jacket, okay? They're supposed to blouse anyway. You'd be able to blouse them at the waist, blouse them at the bottom. If it's a real field jacket, a regular M65 pattern or a model, well, actually goes back, you know, the M1950, the 52, the 53, and the M65, and there is also an M56 that matches up with the TA56 web gear, but you never find them anymore. All of these have a couple of particular items that are really critical towards weather, you know, thermal control and bad weather environments. Number one, waste sash, so that you can compartmentalize and keep everything a little snugged up there. But in addition, on a real field jacket, you also have an elasticized base line, you know, cinch line, that goes around the whole bottom of the coat. And what you do is you blouse that up and that helps to suck everything in close to the body so you don't have air pulling, you know, pushing it up from below. In addition, all the other components, you've got your either button or Velcro cuff systems. Those vary depending on what year, and Velcro wasn't embedded until a lot later than the Korean War. Trust me on that one. But what's interesting is that all of them are basically the same solution, same idea, with different cuts or different pocket sizes. The M65 is the one everybody pretty well knows from the Vietnam War era. And it is the standard by which everybody rates whatever else they're playing with when it comes to field jackets. And everybody's typically mimicking. So good coat, $10 if they have it. Shipping would be about $3 per unit. You want to buy quantities so that you bring your shipping cost down per unit. Always remember that. So look to see what else they have in their markdowns. They don't have much. But they do have a few things and all of it is worthwhile. So check to see if there's something there that makes sense for you. Okay. In addition, let's see other things with regard to weapons right now. Somebody was asking me about the MAS 4956. Are there magazines? Actually there were. There may still be and not badly priced, I mean for being what it is. The MAS 56 magazine is a... only they don't make bigger. Somebody made some bigger as an aftermarket. I think he made 20s, he made 15s and 20s. That's been decades since those came in. So I don't know that those are floating around, but they might be. Okay, but the 10 rounders what I stick with. When I bought the gun, I bought 10 rounders, mags at the time were, and I told everybody to buy them when they were $4 apiece. Okay. That's long gone, but I believe you can kick me in the microphone if I'm wrong if you're looking at the FN 49 56 rifle, maybe already have some you go. Oh jog my memory. I do I need more mags check what a country dot-com www dot what a country dot-com www.whatacountry.com. What a country! That's what the name of the business is. They have a magazine section and they did have FN, forgive me, FN, Moss, 49, 56, reasons of 40, you know, Moss, you know, FN 49, also 10 shot, 6 magazine. They're available, may be available, I should say. They were And I believe they were hovering around the 10, 12 dollar mark. Now if they're more, that's not a surprise. Look at the price of the weapon. Originally it was under $100 now and then hovered around $125 for a long time. Now it's $800 a gun. Wow. Okay. If the mags are out there and you are serious about buying one of those, you better make sure you grab the mags now. The magazines that are laying around are from the tactical reserve that went along with the guns that originally were released. I assume they might have even been pilfered from the boxes because they probably had for Rent-A-Revolution purposes probably had five mags per gun. One in the magazine well for four mags off to the side because they're also make and they are available the Moss 49-56 magazine pouches. They're side by side. double pocket and a couple different companies carry them. You're going to have to look around to see who has them in stock right now. Maybe Royal Tiger Import would be one. And amazingly enough, another one that might have them is ApexGunParts.com. Apex Gun Parts. Now, I wanted to go there last for a reason. You may have the other rifle I mentioned the FN 49 now the FN 49 is a beautiful rifle I carry it in a heartbeat. It's it is the mother of the FN FAL Okay now the story behind the FN FAL slash the FN 49 rifle family is that the FN Develop the FN 49 before World War two what? Yes, it was all done before World War II. Here's the epic story as it was originally released. Before World War II, February Nationale, Hans Du Gare, was producing or developing a new semi-automatic Ming battle rifle for the Belgian forces, the massive Belgian forces. Oh wait a minute, they aren't massive. They were actually kind of a dot on the map. Well, but they did make good guns and what happened is the FN 49 design was complete. Well, apparently they took the plans and whatever prototypes and tooling they had, put it somewhere under the plant and poured cement over it. Okay, put it in a car and probably like, you know, cash, poured cement over it and Belgium was overrun. Okay, remember the gun was available, but they couldn't get in production as they were losing the war. So, after the war, the crew of Fabrice National du Arms de Guerre and the Belgique government, or government du Tégique, I am sure, came in and cracked the cement and pulled out the prints and everything very quietly and tooled up and started to make the FN49 as it's now known. Now the FN49 had a fixed magazine with a 10 shot capacity so it used standard stripper clips. It did not have a D-clip, didn't have any other exotic items. Standard rifle ammunition off the shelf would go right into it. Now, here's the problem. Well, it wasn't a problem, but here's the problem. Most of you out there, if you're listening, and maybe you've got an ear. A lot of you have the 7mm variant because it was the cheapest and for a while it was out there in good force and there was some surplus ammo decades ago but not for a long time. You may still run into a 7mm FN once in a while and 7mm Mauser. Now you can do two things. First, what I would do is start buying preview Partisan PPU 7mm Mauser whenever you see it. It's the cheapest. It's boxer prime, heat anneal, brass case, and factory fresh. Okay, number one. But then I go over to this place I just mentioned called ApexGunParts.com. Why would I do that? Well, if you have a Fabri nationale, but arms do dare, FN 49 in seven millimeter Mauser, they have right now on the shelf, brand new, unissued, unfitted, FN49 8mm Mauser Barrels 8.792x57 for $89.95 a barrel. If you have that 7mm rifle, run to Apex right now. In fact, you can drop what you're doing here. Go over to apexgunparts.com. Apexgunparts.com. Apexgunparts.com. go over to their page, it might even be on the front, but they have a barrel sale that they had going on with the mill barrels that were coming in. And the one thing they had pictured that I saw yesterday was the FN49 and I tagged to it like, oh, it's probably a takeoff barrel. Nope, this is a brand new, no miles, no shells through it other than whatever maybe their test projectile was with a pneumatic shot. But when they do that, when they're barrel at the barrel plants, if the barrel plants are separate, they will do a capping charge, which they either torque it onto a rigid tool that allows them to fire a single, what is called an overpressure shot. Or they use pneumatic and they simply, you know, it's kind of like a reverse muzzleloader in that they insert the bullet or the pneumatic actually has, you know, the device has a chamber that is a mimic of the ammunition that would go into the gun with a bullet. They put the bullet in the end, they put the barrel on it, they fire it to do a last pressure test, they check to see if the gas system is bleeding, they can identify that, probably they use color, I would assume that'd be kind of cool. But anyway, these barrels are virgin, they're brand new, old inventory. They're 89.95 a piece. Now, Mark, that's 8 millimeter Mauser. Yeah, but it's a hell of a lot better than 7 millimeter Mauser. So, here's the thing. I'm still telling you to go out and buy 7 millimeter Mauser. I didn't tell you not to do that, but your best bet is PPU, preview partisan. If they bring any in, I haven't seen any for a bit. Now, the problem is when they do, everybody's scarfing it up. But... If you have one of those FNs, they are a tack driving rifle. They were a beautiful firearm. They are the mother of the FN FAL. Big difference, they shortened the gas system a little bit and they added a detachable magazine. That's it. Basically, the gun was not significantly changed other than contours to create the modern-esque look of the FN FAL that everybody knows. Okay? If you've broken down an FN FAL, then you would have no problem with an FN 49. You'll understand everything about it completely. Anything would be a surprise or a shock to you. However, if you have the 7mm Mauser model, or if you can run into one, in fact, let's put it this way. Maybe right now you're looking at one, somebody's got one for a couple hundred dollars because nobody wants it. It might happen, it might, not likely, but it might. If you're leery because it's in 7, Buy it if you can get it for under even if you get it for 300 or less or even 350 I would say because look at the prices right now for these good these rifles goofy 6 7 $800 a gun now remember that this is another post-war weapon like the FN or the the Moss 49 56 So it's a decent firearm. There's nothing wrong with the gun the biggest problem is the ammunition. Now, somebody's gonna go, well, what else do you need to do with an FN49 when you go from seven to eight? Nothing. Here's what's really neat. It's a Mauser route. It's seven by 57 versus eight or 792 by 57, in other words, eight millimeter Mauser. So the only thing that changes is the barrel. bolt face is the same, main springs are the same, pretty much across the board your performance is going to be equal. Now if you wanted to change out springs, which there really isn't a need to, but you can, parts are available also at not just apex, well you check there first, let's see what spring sets they have. And they did have some, but they reused. You can also go to GunPartsCorp.com and look to see what they have because they do have FN49 parts, but the best barrel price. right now at this moment is for that barrel over at apexgunparts.com. And as you'll see, it states it's brand new. The gas fixtures is attached. These have the threaded barrel, which by the way, most are. Now what's neat about the FN49? No, you probably aren't going to torque on an FN FAL flash hider, but... You can go to gun parts and there are two or three different virgin flash hiders that are available there that are long basket types and You could you could you could either do it yourself or have have have somebody who's in a shop thread that flash hider to Set you know to the to the FN thread for the muzzle and then you still are going to have to have them open up and the front of the flash hider because it'll probably be in, that's right, 762NATO, 30 caliber. So what you want to do is open it up to 8 millimeter and between what you've done properly with the threading, in fact, go a little hot, but you can go a little bigger, it doesn't have to be exactly 8 millimeter, I'd recommend that anyway. But you can have the guy open it up and tool it open and what you've got is a really cool looking FN49, you're going to add a little bit of length. By the way, somebody immediately would ask, well, what about the bayonet? Well, you know, what's really cool is this, what the, the muzzle was threaded to put a crown protector on. Remember we talked about crown protecting the crown, but it's other purpose was to create a spacer for the standard Mauser bayonets, which were in issue with Belgium and pretty much the rest of Europe and South America where the FN 49 was marketed quite heavily. That's where a big chunk of the seven millimeter FNs went. the FN 49. So because of this, again remember if you're looking around, look for a tired, don't worry about buying an official FN 49 bayonet at $129.95. No, don't do that. Here's a little trick I learned a long time ago. The standard later war German or German knockoff copy bayonets that were made for Spain or for South America they do not have the barrel ring. They have a crescent. Now this was to save money because if you again all you have to do is one sculpt you don't have to do a bore, a clean, a polish, whatever. And the idea is that the bayonet lug does most of the work when it comes to affixing the bayonet. Now these bayonets work on any Mauser type rifle and the FN49 took a Mauser type bayonet. So you won't have to worry about that slip ring if you go find a tired, I'm saying tired, you're looking for a bayonet, don't cobble one up, don't chop one up and do this. There's enough of them out there, you can find one for under or about $20, it's original, probably without a scabbard. You're gonna have to go dig up a scabbard or make one. There's a number of different ways to do that. I've done millions of times for what we call reserve guns. But the neat thing is that with the system set up the way that it is, you've got a Flash Hider FN49, 10 round magazine. Now we did take magazines and modify these guns in the past, but I really wouldn't bother. In fact also FN, F.N., February National, the Armistice Gaire, Now, FN's totally different nomenclature. But back in the day, they made a squad gun, equivalent to a BAR gun, little heavier barrel, muzzle compensator, not a flash hider, and detachable magazines. They're rarer than chicken's teeth, and I wouldn't bother thinking about it because the detachable magazine fixture was a minority component. And the magazines are harder than hell to find. Now somebody did make some copies of those way back in the 80s. I haven't seen any of them for a long time and I wouldn't bother. I'd just stick with a 10 round mag and go with a stripper clips. My personal opinion. You could go with a larger fixed magazine. There are some tricks there you can do. You can actually extend, put like a, use it FN, FAL magazine. You still have to watch about your length because again, you got to remember to compare 792 and 762. There's a difference there. Okay, 57, the other one's 51. Yeah. So it's more likely to be using an MG18 magazine. If you do an FAL mag, you cut the back off, you extend it with a couple of trailers on either side, then you either spot weld or whatever into place. It's too much work. I've done it twice helping another friend, Jeff, when we were building them and experimenting back in the day. Guess what? MG18 mags came out even when now that they're, they used to be $6 fees, now they're about $20. You can take an MG18 magazine and adapt it to the Hakim and you can also adapt it to the FN49. But again, I wouldn't bother the rifle itself as I think better performer just the way it is. I don't need extra length. I'm not worried about hosing down the target. I'm more concerned with keeping bullets on target and the original FN49 does just exactly that all on its low some perfectly. So the only thing is the flash hider is kind of nice just because. It does disrupt from the front the signature of the little muzzle flash you get but remember it's an MBR so it's got a little bit of muzzle flash. If you can turn that into a star shell looking at it head-on, it's a good idea. That's what a flash to the front should look like. Like it does on the M16 if you're way down range and have somebody shoot at you. You don't want that do you? No neither do I. So anyway, Other than that, FN49, again, over at apexgunparts.com, you might want to check aprix's, but a bunch of the stuff they've had come in for a lot of the standard Big Boar weapons. Sadly enough, a bunch of it is where they've cobbled up and chopped up a bunch of Big Boar older weapons. It's the only way to get the stuff in, or it's already been done and it's too late before they finally start letting some of this stuff back in. So, sadly enough, there's been a bunch of French Moss rifles and the bolt guns that they've chopped up. Oh God. And they look like they're pristine. They look like they're virtually virgin guns, like they were arsenal new. Now they're quote-unquote kits where they've chopped up the receiver and they can't give you the barrel. So what do you got? You got the trigger guard, part of the trigger, the bolt, and the wood. But no barrel and no receiver. Okay. So there's not a whole lot for what you're paying for. That's on the bolt mops. Anyway, other things real quick here before we go any farther, over at aimsurplus.com. That's where you'll find the PPU ammo. One of the things that they have finally gotten back in, and I don't know if it's sold out yet, they did for at least a day ago have some 300 wind mag PPU. It's the cheapest in the country, period. So if you got a 300-wind mag and you need more brass, look at it this way. Even if you don't like the load, I'd buy it. Why? Where are you going to get 300-wind mag belted Magnum brass for under $20? And it's loaded. It's got ammo in it. Nowhere. And even if they charge 24 or 25, nowhere. Go look at the price for a 300-wind mag. Now they sometimes have 7mm Remington mag. I know there's the newer 8mm out there, 2mm Remington mag. It's the same basic idea. But whichever you're going to do, if you see it and it fits your gun, I gotta buy that. Okay, you can shoot it and reload it to whatever respect you want, but you're going to get one boom out of it for less money than it would, you know, for less money than it would cost for unloaded Virgin Braps. and you get it loaded and it's PPU, Boxer Prime, non-corrosive, heat annealed. Everything ready to go. It's the optimal way to go. It's half the price of everybody else out there. So I can't emphasize enough if you've got any of the big bore bolt guns. You and the Semis were built in that too, by the way. Remember some of the custom Ackerman guns way back in the late 80s, early 90s. If they're still out there and you got one, oh, you're gonna want all the ammo you get for that. Those Beastie Boys work. But again, pay attention and keep an eye. Keep hawking. Aim surplus. When it comes in, grab it. Another thing, we're way past sunset now. And the moon has peaked out and it's really fun because I'm actually sitting here with my eight power binocular and I'm observing the area of operation and I've got something, interestingly enough, going on downrange and trying to figure out who and what that is. It's kind of cool. But as it is, I can see it and I know it's there. So in fact, I hope it's not one of the coyotes because I'm not really ready for that or I'd blow it out of its little pokes, a little pad pod. But anyway, on that note, I mentioned during the chore block, these little handheld 8 mil with the illuminators have gone up in price four times now. Just the reverse of normally what happens, they come out, usually the first wave comes down a little bit in price and then they settle on their market. These things have gone up. I don't know what article was written, maybe everybody just decided they love it a lot or the Chinese aren't going to send any more in, but if you got them, congratulations. You got them for the best price you ever will get them for as far as I can see. and there's no relief in the near future for this. But I do like the unit, although it is white light, it's not green light or anything like it, it's not infrared. Somebody was discussing the idea, I had a long conversation on this, yes you could. If you could find the right IR unit or if you could find any of the glass infrared clear non beveled lenses. Now there's a bunch of glass that used to be out there and there's a couple companies that used to be on west of the Mississippi, Missouri and also in Arkansas, that had stacks and stacks and stacks of all the different IR lenses for creating, you know, they're black, they look like a black light. When you do shine a light to them, they almost look like they're burgundy or red. That's if you shine a light at them and look at them. There is no visible light when they're hooked up in front of a light fixture. So one of the things to consider, and you guys are listening right now, if you can find the IR lenses that go over the standard white lens, you could make a little rubber boot that would go around the body. I'm holding this right here, my hand right now. and you could actually affix that into place, put the red lens over top. And the reason it's gotta be the flat, just glass lens, is because we don't wanna amplify or distort what our little specialized expandable LED does inside the little monocular. But this is a solution for all of your white light. We haven't really talked about this much because we're way past any of the good surplus that we used to get. like this. It's out there and it used to be you buy a stack of 10 and I know there used to be stuff we always talk about it but used to be a dollar a unit you buy 10 at a time but they were glass so you were taking a chance that one out of 10 might be broken or chipped or something because you didn't know how they were handled. The smaller lenses like this were for observation lighting that was done for combat engineers and also for maintenance people. And there's all kinds of different weird sized lenses that were done like that. And we might find something. Now the other consideration, there might be something in the scientific community. Yeah, don't forget that. Go look in the scientific catalogs. and see if you can find a red, or forgive me, it'll be an IR lens to go over a white light source. Now it just needs to be straight, flat glass, or it might be Alexander plastic, but you want glass, better quality for light transfer. And again, we don't want to distort any more of that LED light we've got with this monocular than we already, you know, we don't want any distortion, okay? We don't get any right now. We don't want to do it by adding something. The advantage of the IR would be the ability to use that and monitor while using another night vision device to observe. Okay, to actually overwatch, you know, your monoculars. Now you're not going to change your monocular over to night vision. Well, I'll take that back. There is a cheat. You could do one more thing. By God, you're adding more junk to this thing to the point where it's going to be a super phaser. You could line up and put a first jet or digital behind or in front of the monocular, depending on what you buy. And in front of it would be probably better. I'm looking right now. Yeah, and what you could do is actually what we did with the SKS is that Don originally was when we were experimenting with his first generation conventional monoculars and trying to turn them into weapon sites. We used an SKS, picatinny rails, modified several different pieces of equipment, and pre-gated the big picatinny rail thing that everybody does and all the rifles in the top. and then mounted an inline, a conventional optic with a night vision monocular, ended up with a pretty decent package and it was all cobbled together. Most of the stuff is available off the shelf though. Again, going to the scientific areas, you know, scientific supply points, and this is where you're going to find a lot of other interesting stuff laying around. Yeah, another thing, you know, we're working with some of the night vision here too tonight. And we've got moon, which means that the coyotes that are probably over there on the next ridge, which is what I think I just see moving, I thought I saw. I'm going to get a confirmation here in a few minutes from a guy with a rifle. But as it is, the monoculars got decent collection at night by itself without the illuminator, which is typical with optics anyway. But what's interesting is I don't know whether or not this monocular is glass lens. I haven't really confirmed that or not Chinese do both they do plastic and they do they do glass now the Japanese have always done really good glass and really outshine the Chinese on the pun across the board a Reason I bring that up is another area that everybody forgets to get some fantastic optics I just got a whole table full of camera equipment for free from one of the institutes a couple miles down the road from where I'm sitting. Free? Yeah, they had a whole bunch of audio visual equipment. They had an overhead projector. I took that too. But one of the other things they had were cameras. And guys, they had a whole bunch of really nice 35 millimeter telephoto lenses. Now I've paid as little as five, six, $10 for those. But getting them for free, You know what kind of optics you can put on a tripod? Just using the camera, piss on worrying about film. Using the camera as a spotter with a large bore telephoto lens, what kind of night collection you get. You know, don't think that any of the old cameras are obsolete. Especially like any of these things that have scabbard-type fixtures or threaded fixtures for changing out the lenses. Most places where you go, where they have resale shots, Very few have even any clue Nor do they care about the cameras because their logic is well, it's a 35 millimeter camera That's obsolete. You know, that's outdated Yeah, but the optics aren't in fact trying to buy those optics today are even more expensive than when they were built and they were hundreds up to even over a thousand dollars back when Wages were a lot smaller. Although the country was a lot richer Okay, so this is a neat tee where you can like I like it right now that sitting over here I've got a well actually the one I got sitting here right now is a digital But it's a big bore cannon digital with a lunascope. That's what I describe it It's a what is that I'd have to actually measure it. It's a three inch bore four inch No, it's got to be four inch for four inch bore at least But the fact of the matter is that was one of the freebies I got. We're experimenting right now with just the regular optics for comparison. What I am fascinated by is again, if we take advantage of most of this, we actually end up with better equipment than typically the enemy has in hand. A lot of the digital junk is cool, but it doesn't have the clarity that it could have. And this is why where they spent the money is on the graft and corruption of buying the electronics and they chin-sew on the optical end, on the image collection end, typically. Now, it would tell you, oh, we've got to find quality superleximally, a purified diozine, you know, plastic lens that's doing the collecting. Now, maybe glass sometimes, but most of the time, no, they're not doing that. And they've worked out the verbiage to make everybody impressed with. And where the real charge is, is for the digital electronics, you know, thermal, night vision, whatever it is that they've got going. But you take that technology and you throw some actual glass in front of it, you've totally changed the capability of that equipment. I can't stress that enough. And there's all kinds of neat things we can do. But remember, obsolete cameras. Don't argue about that. Oh, they're not obsolete. Don't even tell anybody that. Don't ever tell anybody that anymore. Somebody wants to get rid of something, take it. If they're going to do it for cheap, don't tell them because what will happen is the person you're talking to, it's like the guy with the military hats I've said for years, the guy that comes out of the service and his wife is telling him what to do, and he's selling all of his military stuff. And I always tell him, hey, keep your hat at least. You're going to want it. And guys, you know how many thousands of people I've had to buy a service hat? I mean a real one, not a... You can get copies all day. But I want a real one, man. I know the difference. Okay, so you go track down a real patrol hat, booney hat, Korean war, you know, McAuliffe hat, okay? There's a bunch of different ones, depending on what year and how many decades and back I've been going with this. But it's always the hat that they want first, and they sold them or they burned them. At the end of Vietnam, a lot of guys were pissed, but they burned all their crap. Okay, they burned it. So here we're gonna make a statement, and then about six, eight, ten years later, sniffles, it's like, I remember the good old days when I was in Vietnam and they were trying to kill me. I need, oh, I sure can define my booney hat. And so, and a real one too, man, you know the difference. And so you'd find that, you know, middle war of booney hat as opposed to the later models and, you know, etc., etc. The same is true with a lot of other equipment. It's kind of bizarre because the pattern is consistent and as I get older I see this and it just makes me wonder about certain things. It makes you, you know, smudge has to sit back and ponder things as I hold my chin and go, hmm. So anyway. The same would be true if you tell somebody hey that might be worth something more than you think and then they sit on it as soon as you go away and the wife comes out and goes why haven't told that yet? What's he gonna buy it? Well, then somebody else gets it for $10 instead of you. So you know what? Buy it. Just buy it. Don't tell it. Give them one chance of you. Okay, you know, it's worth them probably a little more than that. But then buy it why because if you walk away some other asshats gonna get it who doesn't appreciate it at all Doesn't know what to do with it, but just thought it'd be cute for the moment. It's like a temporary party favor So you don't want that to happen? There's too many good things out there that we need to preserve and we need for the war effort So don't hesitate don't wait just like weapons. Is it a gun? Yep. Hold the bullet. Yep work. Yep. I'll buy it Looks like another gun needs to be bought. Okay, there you go With optics, it's the same way and there are some really nice camera rigs. I got a couple I haven't even looked at yet I got about an 8 inch 10 inch telephoto lens attached to a Nikon and It's all manual Looking through it real quick I can mount it on a number of the hundreds of different tripods I got for nothing because everybody's been getting rid of their camera tripods Fantastic. I've got these industrial tripods. You just pay $200 for for free Grab them. You don't know how much, what would it cost you to make that? So just heads up and remember spotting scopes. Well, it'd be nice to be able to see over there. How about this? Oh, it's a camera. Yeah, watch this. Wow, I can count the pimples on his nose. And he's got pimples on his nose and I wouldn't have been able to tell that otherwise. Shoot him in the pimple. I mean the nose. Anyway, we are getting close to the top. So ideas, not just complaining about problems. The camera technology, you might even have it sitting on the shelf right now. You probably haven't even thought about it. And by the way, just because it's a smaller lens doesn't mean it doesn't have collection potential. Okay, it's just that you can get telephoto lens for the same camera or you can buy a camera like it or pick up one for free. I've grabbed just as many out of freebie boxes at yard sales, especially this year. I mean, in the past, at least somebody had some idea. Today, these people don't even have a clue. In fact, most of them don't even know what the hell they've got in their hands. No matter what it is, okay? So, don't argue with it. Be smart. You know, shop S-mart. Or in this face, shop... Mmm... What do you want to call it? I guess it is. It's a state-mart. There we go. E-mart. Well, last but not least before we go, I mentioned bayonets earlier. You should get a bayonet for every weapon that you can get a, you know, can affix a bayonet to. You don't have to have the most expensive. If you're looking for a grand bayonet, go to the copies. If you're going to buy an original, you know, World War II or even Korean War manufactured grand bayonet, they are goofy, crazy price now. Instead, you can get a nice copy of the M1942 bayonet, like the sword model. George is a nice little battle blade or the standard eight or ten inch models and I think right now the standard is eight is eight. Remember the ten inchers and the twelve inchers were actually cut down sword bayonets and there was a big flush of those that came in from South America that were Lindley's bayonets where they cut them you know on an angle. And it's where they cut down the longer bayonets from World War I and the beginning of World War II up until 42, right until just after Pearl Harbor. The longer bayonet was the standard, not the short bayonet. The 10 inch actually was considered a little long, which I don't really see why. And if you look, you'll notice that the plastine grip types with the standard blade for the day have become that much shorter. Okay? And they look pretty much in line with the grand or forgive me with the m14 the m1 carbine bandit, etc So if you're looking for a bandit for the m9 or forgive me 1903 Springfield and one grand and a few of the other South American mousers that take the US bandit Go to bud K comm and look to see if they have anything left in stock If not, there are a few other companies that are carrying the report reproductions They're good enough for what they are. They're better than a really tired used blade for cheap. And you're not going to cry about messing them up. They're reproductions. So carrying in the field, carrying in the rain, beating it up, save that one you got from your dad. Leave that on the shelf, not nailed, wired to the wall with whatever else, and preserve it. Doesn't mean you can't bring it into service when the war starts. You can kill more of the enemies of the American people, you know, with an appropriate blade. But in the meantime, if you're going to be out beating it up, then grab one of these reproductions. Same with the M16. There's two or three reproductions out there. They're about $20. In fact, they were as little as $12 apiece. Well, that's all you need to carry. You'll have the weight, the blade works. They're not totally junk. And no better or worse than a really tired, say, Korean bluebird carbine or garand or whatever, bayonet. Those were cheek back in the day, but you can't even find them out. And when they do come in, I'll guarantee they want $50 for them. So that's not the way to go. Anyway, we're at the top. Yes, we are. We're at the top right now. And a beautiful evening. The wind has started to rustle a little bit. And I'm going to rustle here with the night vision next after I'm done with the monocular. We're going to experiment a little bit with that and a combination of that night vision. God bless the Republic. Yes, with a new world order, we shall prevail. Ladies and gentlemen, the Empire is on the run. We're on the march. We're going to get out of the way for now, and Edward taking over. We'll be back tomorrow evening or, well, tomorrow afternoon. Same time. God bless. Bye-bye.
