It's going to be somebody trying to either cut you, beat you, or tomahawk you, slash you. Now hard plate is nice, but as I've mentioned a million times, guys, you need all-around cover. You can still have hard plate cores. You can even put hard plate over any other soft armor you've got. But you want wraparound armor for the gut and for the back. And you even want, preferably, even reinforced armor for the spine. Kind of like, I'll tell you the best example is motocross. Motocross armor is fantastic. Look at where the protection is. Why is the protection there? Because that's the threat area. And if you notice on all this motocross stuff, you have classic medieval scale armor that goes right down the backbone. And that's to me more critical than even bulletproof is. I've mentioned this before, and in fact I'm going to go back over here real quick. I can't. I can, but I've got to fight to get there. The fact of the matter is that there are some really great pieces of technology out there that help to afford more bumper armor. Bumper armor is going to keep you alive. Okay, it doesn't have to be bulletproof, but most Kevlar is bullet resistant, so that helps. but understand that uh... soft real even the impact armor like we're talking about motocross armor uh... uh... hockey armor anything would offer more protection because a lot of it's going to be physical close you know close quarters someone kind of stab me in the back hitched pitch in the back or try to get you in the head which is why i held up a good thing either a bomb calmer or or a uh... of bullet resistant helmet door was that they both proved there's no such thing But those are the two most common questions from cashiers. Girls are 19 years old. What kind of body armor would you get if you were buying body armor? Seriously, at a grocery store. Because they say, well, buy more ammo. My dad's buying lots of ammo. And this is a girl who maybe, what, 100 pounds or 95 pounds soaking wet. And it's like, no, you can't get... The plate armor is just too much of a burden. So it's, again, level three threat armor contoured for the body. covering more of the vital, vital parts because that and fragmentation devices, as I mentioned many times, are more of a threat than small arms direct fire will be. It's just that simple because people like to throw grenades. Government likes to throw mortar rounds. Government likes to throw stuff that goes boom and comes at you from weird directions. Well, you don't get to pick what direction that device is coming at you from, so you better be ready to cover everything. That's why I loved it when all this frag armor came out last year. The stuff there in the last couple of years, not now, this last year, it's all dried up. But most of it is gone, except maybe the Czech stuff that's over at the Center Fire Systems, and that all comes from Sturm, okay? It comes from one source. Anyway, that armor is a good choice. It's not as nice as the other stuff you saw, like the French, the Italian, or whatever. It's good, and it's more expensive now. Whereas before, for anywhere under $100 or under $60, or even under $40 for a little window there, you could have full Kevlar protection all the way around. So this is what people are worried about. They're not worried about the football. The thinking people are not worried about the BS at the football games, because they aren't watching football. They're not watching sports. They don't have the interest in the regime. They know that they're all lying to their, their, their mind and left, right up and now how can you, if, if ever there was a period where it is so blatant, nobody can argue it. So what they had to do is they went down to where his calf was and took the calf skin area below the shred, because it was shredded halfway down the calf. And it's that material that they used to make the cap. And of course it's more work, but I mean a little more work, but it was so badly damaged that there wasn't anything to work with right where the knee was blown out. Okay? They were able to save the ball and everything so they could use that for the stump because otherwise you gotta, you know, there's all kinds of other problems. But the fact of the matter is that they used healthy tissue because it wasn't gangris had been blown off He was a forward area. He was in a forward area where they had good control They brought him back. They took separated everything get brighted everything cleaned everything up did their first personal face surgery The other surgeons were working on the lower part of the leg to take the parts they needed put that all together He's alive today. It's been 30, you know, what 37 38 years pretty darn good Okay, so you he's alive I'd rather have them alive with me than fight and sell, you know, and again. But here's the thing. That was not a gang-gris wound. If you have gangrene, I was blessed with being the right place at the right time. I've seen gaseous gangrene in the research facilities that used to be at the Kellogg Research Center, which is now all torn down. I just checked the other day. It's all gone. Moved it to another site. But I've seen animals with gangrene that literally glow. When they say gangrene, and what they do is they were doing this to see how far they could go with fighting gangrene in its worst stages, okay? You don't take any of the tissue that's been infected or has the possibility of even a small percentage of infection and use that tissue for anything. It goes to the barbecue. It gets incinerated. They're basically a bariatric chamber is what they're using. They're infusing oxygen in while they're also pumping nutrients in from the inside. Then they look to see what happens. Now, in many cases, most of the toes are saved, et cetera, but that is a different kind of injury, too. And they actually don't amputate as many. Now, I will say this. If you ever have frostbite, you will never be experiencing the cold the same again because your nerve endings are affected in so many ways that the pain returns that you experience. Yeah, I can testify to that. I've got that issue in my fingers on my right hand. Yep. Again, it's funny. Freezing to death, that's why winter fighting isn't so bad. Freezing to death, you drift off, doesn't hurt. But if somebody finds you and brings you back, it's like you're dipped in fire. Okay, it's like if you were burning, think about it, how many horrible ways can you think that you really don't want to die? Burning to death is not fun, right? Well, I hope I die like this with dying in your sleep. That would be nice, right? Or again, you know, freezing to death. Well, because you're just going to drift off to sleep and you're done. Except, wow, Bob, Bob, I'm glad you almost died. And then you realize that every place that froze or got tagged with frostbite is letting you know that it's still alive, but it doesn't like the way it's living right now. Dipped in fire. There's always a return, guys. There's always a return. Somehow, God could see, there's a strange balance to the universe, and God's the one in charge of that. One way or another, you're not gonna get away from the pain of a mistake or accident or an injury like that. It's there from one direction or the other. Just how it works, which is why I also, I'm a firm believer, do whatever you can to find whatever painkillers you can keep on the shelf not want to break the law on the other garbage but any anything you can do will help and if you have a lot of people you've got to take care of a battlefield situation they will they'll be they'll be grateful for any just like when people are hurt they're not are you a doctor now they might ask later because they got the man who wants to hear which is why whenever i stopped to help somebody i don't stick around i'm telling i told them to that may times on the air all stop i've got medical gear somebody else wants to use it to go ahead all leave that for you can have that congratulations i assume that somebody else looks like their official and they got a bag even if it's just a volunteer fireman showing up all you're in charge of the argued all you have jump right in there I always say goodbye.
