A lot of guys I served, three people I served as who absolutely were end of the war middle to end of the war seals. They were in basically in country assignment Vietnam. Each story is pretty much the same. One worked in the high London's, one worked with the Montagnards, and the other worked with the Lowlands actually around the Mekong Delta. And worked up and down the Mekong Delta and were there until the end of the war. Now in each case they had a variation on the theme. But in each case what they were told to do when they knew they were winding down, and we had all these allies that we built up that really were winners. They actually beat their enemies. They controlled their areas of operation. They were successful at fighting. You know, the mountain yards especially, don't take the mountain yard grass people in the earlier middle of the war. By the end of the war they were fully developed like the Nung as a conventional or unconventional elite force that could go pretty much anywhere they wanted, win, whatever they fought. They were led typically by either special forces units, small detachments, components of the detachment in many cases, not even a full detachment, and or they were led by seals. Now in the case of the one individual I know, It related what happened at the end of the war. They rounded up all the family members. They were told, now you've got to understand, they were in their safe zones. They had total control of their areas of operation. They had munitions, they had stockpiles of food, they had ammunition up the ass. They were well organized and they were ready to fight and defend themselves no matter who showed up. North Vietnamese, South Vietnamese, cut Cambodians, who cares? If they had to fight any money, they could have fought a war and won. And they already were fighting a war and winning. An order was given that they were going to ship out all of this particular battle group of Montagnards and these guys these seals had lived with them for three four or five years depending on what year the guy was you know man was assigned another was reassigned and They'd lived with these people they lived they lived night and day. They didn't go to some hoot somewhere else They lived with the groups that they organized So when they got them out and they brought them to the beach submarine showed up Not a flotilla, not landing craft, nothing that was there to get out the women, the kids, or the combatants. Now they had to move 70, 80, 90 miles from where their base of operations were further inland to get to the shore. And the guys were told that, well, you've got to come out and coordinate operations. We need you guys to come out to the sub. And once we figure out what we're going to do, we've got boats on standby, but we need to get this coordinated so we know who we're going to be moving first. Well, the SEAL detachment, the SEAL element moved out to the sub, and they were bum rushed by everybody. The crew, other individuals who were on board who were with whatever other ground group, and they knocked them unconscious. They fought like dogs, he said. They fought like dogs. They realized they were being betrayed. Then they chained them to the deck of the sub and then they took off. And they left all the allies, all of those families, all of those fighting troops on the beach. One of them told me, now this variation's on this because in one case it actually was an LSD that picked up the unit. But they did the same thing now these three different people same scenario But what one the one that was with the mountianer and told me this he goes it was mark a had to chain us to the decks They they had they we constantly were trying to break free They hosed us down with fire hoses on you know and they had us chained down to the deck had us locked down They were already ready for this just for a week. It doesn't mean they can't throw mass at you. Understand, think through how many ways you can do it. I'm going to remind you again, a real simple solution boiling hot water. Take your plumbing, especially if you're looking at defense in and defense in depth, you can create overhead shower heads in hallways, access ways. I love stairways. You can roll back down, but you're doing damage to yourself. And you're still going to get parboiled and cooked. But you don't need to burn the house down to, you know, parboil to slash boil or roast in their body armor. Your enemy. Hot water. Have a supercharger on a, you know, in a hot water system with an overhead series of complete dispersion sprayers, you know, sprinklers. Not fire emergency, but literally shower head to your best choice because you get better saturation. Wide pan type would be fine. Volume is the key and making sure that whatever you're using for a water heater with a line like that is at maximum setting and it can even be supercharged by stacking one on top of the other if you're not familiar how to do that. The water will boil a person to death. In fact, let's put it this way, even if it didn't boil them to death, they'll probably wish they were dead. Even if they're not, they'll probably wish they were dead. They won't be able to get out of their gear fast enough. Body can't the overall core temperatures will drive up into third degree. It's a boil bird One of many little tricks that work really well You can also do that with projection technology if all you got are hoses or lines and you want to hook it up some if I have PVC on standby you can do wash down units that will do the same thing from above or directly in front of an objective like say a door barrier or a stairwell and When you turn them on there's no way to get away from it There's no way to escape it, but you don't burn the house down. That's kind of nice. You still get the thermal effect, but you don't burn the house down. In fact, you saturate it. So the other techniques that they use for trying to fry things to try and get fires going to burn your house down don't work as well. Kind of nice. You got dual purpose here, firefighting and anti-personnel. So just a heads up, all you people that know a little bit of plumbing or have the ability to go to YouTube and learn about plumbing, there's a lot of cool things you can do for a minimal cost. You can even go to your resale shops and get the hot water heater that you need for almost nothing. If you watch Craigslist or Facebook, you can get them for free. From that point forward, all a matter of creativity and speed, because you're going to need all these pieces of technology up and online as quick as you can. Another thing again beyond food and also ammunition now food enamel both their weapons is Again, as we've said a million times also water If you empty out a juice container that can't be returned fill it with water Most people tell me I can't afford water storage. Really? You've got what do you got in your hand right now? Well, I got a two liter Well a Pepsi bottle. Yeah returnable. Well, okay. Wait a minute. Oh, no, it's a sunkissed juice bottle You don't get 10 cents for that. You can put that towards ammo. Since you don't get anything for it, or if you want to do a water storage system, let's say you do get returnables that you use. You don't really need to if you just pay attention. You got orange juice containers that hold citric acid. They're fantastic for long-term water storage. If you want to be more organically oriented, Glass wine bottles, any glass bottles that you have that have to take a cork or a screw lid. Cork is best. Watch in the recycle bins for hard liquor bottles that have the hard plastic caps. Those are perfect for water storage. They're not going to ever break down. The caps are designed to retain and work in an alcohol environment. Your water, the water you put in there, the H2O, is not going to be affected in any way, shape, or form. And you have a beautiful glass container to keep the water in the most pristine and clean condition possible. If I may. Go ahead, jump in there. Yeah, I don't know if you've ever talked about this, but I use a dehumidifier and I fill up a Berkey and then I put a drop of colloidal silver per gallon of water and make water that way. It's almost free. You pay for electricity, but it's pretty cheap to run a dehumidifier. And you can collect, if you got a basement, you can collect quite a bit of water out of the air. in your basement. And the water is incredibly clean and tasty. And by the way, the Berkey's are also another thing that should be on the shopping list. Thank you for reminding me. The Berkey water filters have been around forever. They are originally a big deal if you had people who are going as church missionaries overseas. The biggest gift that usually everybody used to collect money for was a Berkey water filter. Because most of the places the geyser gals were going to be missionaries were going to be some pretty backwoods locations and water was dangerous. So when the Berkey filter system came up, and there were others before that that were even more complicated, but the Berkey is gravity sucks simple. They work phenomenally well. They have changed up the filters. They do have different filters if you want one that will speed filter faster, a little faster, and again produce more water in a shorter period of time that's purely absolutely clean. If you're going to buy the Berkey's, you want to buy three, four, five filters right away and add more as you can because it's the filter that makes the machine. And the machine is so simple it's ridiculous. So you're talking gravity sucks. That's what does the job. And Berkey's name brand by the way for those should be easy enough for you to track them down. A number of different sources have the Berkey's in what they call the travel light. They do make straws and everything else too Berkey does now. But they did make, and I have one of the prototypes, it's the camper model that was designed for loading up putting into an outer backpack pocket, they're a smaller Berkey filter, a baby version of the big one. And the idea was while you're traveling, the water is purifying whatever water you run into and it's as absolutely clean as could be possible. Again, the filters are not super cheap or anything, just reverse spending some money, but it's a life investment issue. And again, you know electricity, nothing you need to do. You drop water in, and of course if you're collecting it with the humidifier system or a humidification system like that, you use a trap radiator, and then what you do is some people even actually put up a drip tube so that they actually pull from the tank and drop it right into the burking of a nonstop fill, depending upon the cycle, to put in a timer. There's all kinds of neat tricks you can do with that. So again, Berkey water filter is not the only one out there, but one of the better ones that's got it in the name is known for a reason. Because they work. Okay. Eventually the filter does load up. You're going to have to have spares. That's it doesn't work on its own. It doesn't work forever. The materials that you're filtering go somewhere guys. Remember? Well, they're in that filter. That's where they belong. Okay, go ahead. Yeah, that Berkey, those filters are cleanable. But you know, the only problem with the Berkey is you got to... you have to prime it in order for it to work. And so priming it, there's a little tiny tube that the water goes down through it into your clean tank. And you got to back feed through that little tiny, and it gets something that small. I have a reverse osmosis faucet on my sink, and that seems to be the size that you need. But if you don't have that you're kind of screwed some of the newer ones Pro pure I think and the Alexa pure those don't require Priming and I believe they can they come arsenic You know, they filter out arsenic as well. But the Berkey you got to put a separate arsenic Like a big thing you screw on And that sits in your filtered water and that turned me right off. That's when I started, you know, I was going to, uh, we used to live down in this, you know, city water and, and that's mainly what I got it for. And then I was like, I'm not going to use that. That's what I came up with the dehumidifier and it worked like a champ. So anyway, thanks. No, very good. And again, appreciate the input. Another thing about storage is again remember you can use gallon milk jugs or milk type jugs, but, but, but one of the reasons I recommended the other containers is for obvious reasons. All of your milk containers are mandatorily biodegradable. If you haven't had this happen, eventually you would experience it if you kept any water for any period of time in milk jugs. The plastic literally becomes frangible sitting on the shelf. It literally is breaking down while water is making contact with it. Now it doesn't mean you can't use gallon jugs. You're going to use whatever you can get your hands on if you need volumes of water. But ideally you will for instance as I mentioned if you go to recycle bins the hard liquor alcohol containers the plastic ones or the Glass which is glass is the best if you're not going to carry it around you're just going to put it on the shelf If it's going to be static storage the glass works fine The bigger the container the happier you'll be and guess what they make mogan-david in one gallon junk So that's not a bad thing. Oh, hey, give all So, if you get a chance, pay attention and start collecting the containers from other sources. If the oil fails, I know a lot of people don't like the 2 liter and the 1 liter pop bottles, the plastic ones. We know the leaching issue, but it's still far less than it would be with the milk jugs because the milk jugs are by law. They have been for quite some time biodegradable. They changed the chip. And that's why when they get out in the world, if they're laying along the road, they will literally break down and work back into the soil. Just a heads up. You may notice that you may have found one like that where the gallon jug is all frangible. It's like in little chips, but the cap is still intact. It's like, oh, that's a gallon jug. Oh, wow. It looks like, oh, I want to mess with that. And you leave it. But the fact is that that's the difference between the two plastines, the type that they, in fact, the cap. is still made of the same material that they used to make the whole container out of. The difference is one was in the milky, standard, demi-white, and the caps are done in colors. The pigments added for the sake of, again, identification when they pack the product. Now, another thing here real quick, again, if you use the wine bottles, you can use screw top aluminum, but think about it. Little aluminum screw top lids, how long are they going to last? It's nice if you can find the solid, especially booze caps, or they're like medicine caps. They were designed to handle alcohol. Your water isn't going to phase that particular material. It's going to be around for a very long time, making it a good reusable source for the very long haul. Just something else we need to be thinking about is not just the short to the end of your nose, but through to the middle part of the program all the way to the end.
