And what this program will do is to recruit gun violence survivors as well as gun violence survivor activists and get them to run for office and to, hopefully for them but not for us, get them into seats of power where they can change the laws from the inside. Now they officially launched this program on Tuesday and they said that their goal is to train at least 200 activists to run for election during this cycle, this upcoming cycle in 2022. Now the Chief Karen in charge of Moms Demand Action Shannon Watts said this, Since the beginning of Moms Demand Action, our volunteers have fought to get a seat at the table, support lawmakers who are doing the right thing, and replace those who are standing in the way of gun safety. The more we work and groan, the more often that has meant filling those seats with our own volunteers. Demand a seat formalizes this evolution and will provide education and guidance to help these leaders take that next step from advocating to writing laws. John Feingblatt, the president of Every Town for Gun Safety, added this, our volunteers are already political and legislative experts and we're going to help them go from advocating for gun safety laws to writing them. This program will help hundreds of gun safety advocates get their foot on the political ladder, starting with local office and ending with them writing state or even national laws. So there you have it. They're very blatant on what they're trying to do. If you can't beat them, join them. And they're kicking this program in full gear. They want to have at least 200 people. challenge with their own personal hand-picked cronies. My question for you is what are we doing about it on the pro-gun side? How many folks do you know that are pro-gun that will run for office? Step up if you can. I would gladly run for office in my town, but I will not be here long enough But there are 50 states if you count DC does 51 elections that They plan on attacking full bore What are we doing about it? What are the pro-gun? Groups going to do to counter this I already know that people that I'm friendly with in multiple groups do try to push pro-gun candidates. They interview candidates when they decide that they're running and based off of those interviews they either decide to back them or not. But I would love to see a more concentrated, a more concerted effort of getting pro-gun people and putting them through education progress to get them elected and of course it comes with money. Everything on this side of the world is money-based. So, if there are groups out there that will back pro-gun candidates monetarily, we need to make it known. What do you guys think about it? So it's designed at the state level and it's controlled at the county level. If they're the actual Sep 2 helmets, two helmets uh... it is interesting to make sense why i was looking at some of the of the uh... what the windows of production and i went through the company wanted a company name which by the way i have a my hand here don't do the italy and probably didn't have a significant uh... compression or high pressure high temp compression system for working kevlar the way they needed to and they really didn't have to if they went to one of the other contract companies that had enough foreign slave labor uh... to get the job done so guess what the italian typically did not produce initially the step toward any of their past get armor it was done by england the dope other british interestingly enough the contract company looks to be the same contract company that did the uh... mark six British pass-cat helmets, different design, obviously takes a different mold. Now how do I know this? Well, and this is something I'm surprised and I don't know that any, I haven't seen any of these people do in these videos, they say, well this is the helmet or we have this helmet, we have this helmet, whatever. But you know, I may just not have it in my hand here, but I, or at least I don't have the one I'm looking for, but Right off the bat, there are proof marks on the equipment. Okay, there's proof marks on the helmets. Now the weight is correct for and comparable to the level three Chinese helmets that are presently available that again are not full rifle helmets per se. They'll stop a lot of bullets just like the Pascat will stop a lot of stuff, but it's not bullet proof and don't ever expect it to be, okay? Interestingly enough though, if you watch when these people are doing the videos and they're showing you where they're popping open the helmet, you've got different marker points and while some have the little bench points, others don't, which it disappears with some. And what I mean by this is on the inside of the helmet, on the left and the right, you have a confirmation to manufacture. In fact, you've got also a, what I think is a re-inspection, or this is the original confirmation of production. It could be just of this Model 95, but it is a 3. However, the original manufacturer plate, which is on the other side, and I've got to flip this over while I'm trying to talk, which was done by BR Armor Limited, London. It was doing a lot of other work now It's made as this pointed out here at the they not only did the mark six helmets to a degree and what how big a contract that was since multiple companies had the contract remember if you're if you've ever had any of the mark six helmets and you got a bunch of laying around and you get curious and you're you know got nothing to do well you start reading information Inside the helmets like this one here. I can kind of read the history and family lineage of the of the helmet itself And interestingly enough, this particular contract run is probably one of the earliest with regard to the SEP2 slash the Italian PAS-GET early helmet projects. Now, there are different grades and layers of protection with PAS-GET helmets, period. If you think they're both, it's just like helmets. Helmets are not bullet proof. they're bullet resistant but depending upon the lucky shot the bad work at the factory though good work at the factory that day uh... they all have variations in how they perform but remember that the most significant level of protection that you're supposed to be getting from almost of the armor has to do not with bullets but what is a much more dominant problem on the battlefield uh... mid and local ought to be secondary and primary fragmentation and that's what you're covering the whole body for do you think that when they made body suits her body vests and body with all whatever that was covering all the way down to the arms uh... when they originally proposed that do you think that they believe that a pistol rifle round of the beef top with somebody's wrist or you'll say where the elbow is or you know it depending where you're hit with the was going to while i'm here certainly probably would you we're hoping that it would media sufficient to maybe just deflect energy and maybe stop the bullet maybe dot most likely not because there were varying layers of armor depending upon where you are in your suit this is no different from medieval armor you know you have can openers to go after the night why because there are soft chewy spots their places where you can get the can opener and and pry and and get to the next layer and then pride you know punch through that get to the soft chewy stuff blur on the inside okay so uh... i've got three examples plus of this particular helmet i'm satisfied with it for what it is but look uh... not looked up enough information is what i would expect it to do uh... if you're looking for you know level four level five never claim to be all that just ain't going to be the case but again it will vary depending upon what period and which model of helmet in terms of the past get this is a lot better than your bear bull hanging out in the breeze and it is a laminate Kevlar helmet by the way even with the ones that they were shooting if you pay attention you will see to a degree what I've been talking about in that this is they are a ballistic nylon or again Kevlar and TPU sandwich Kevlar TPU sandwich as I'm using your nomenclature here and part of that was performing and also for laminate reinforcing with the way that they did this laminate armor Was becoming the vogue about the time that these helmets came out the pass get was already out Let's understand something by the time that the Italian program goes into play America has already had the Kevlar helmet for what fifteen years prototyping of the kevlar helmets came out at the end of the vietnam war and pretty much it settled on where they were going and just after the vietnam war is one of the past cat starts to show up and of course as we go by the time we get into a complete deployment of the equipment uh... at least certain units going to grinnata all had the mobile marine corps and the raw friends in the army rangers had the past at airborne units had uh... the new past cat helmet it's all its glory now did everyone of those who wish out at stop a bullet nope matter of fact there are very many variations on what took place but the one that most notable is the uh... one that the uh... operator was wearing it that the uh... fort nox armor museum and uh... the bowl of the bullet uh... bullets were deflected or reduced in energy significantly the operator with the individual wearing a hat helmet was knocked unconscious but survived now the helmet look like a big yellowish green dead possum along the side of the road literally the op op that's what the public look like when they get hit with high-powered rifle they don't stay together they don't hold up excuse me they're supposed to do that again how do they transfer the energy and conform Well, if you look at those helmets, you'll understand part of what's going on. And there's nothing you're going to wear. Well, I can't say that, okay? There are some new steel-mish helmets that are out there, or new steel militia. One of them is called the militia helmet. It is a bullet-topper. But, again, also remember the weight. Now, this helmet is not light, but it's not the heaviest of the service helmets you can run into out there. And you can compare it in weight to the standard U.S. pass-gats. kevlar the german kevlar all the french model and of course a british mark six now the real ones rick kevlar don't forget and i will remind you again that there are the training helmets and uh... at first people did not realize that those were actually out there and even brigade quartermaster in a couple of the other companies made a significant mistakes and purchased a quantity of those and even marketed them not realizing until after people had taken out and yes they did have to be the way that doesn't feel right now one of the reasons is a lot of people who've picked mark six is when they went over to europe they came back with one that usually traded a guy for their in the british military or something and uh... ended up taking a long and then so we had a few examples here before everybody else did that uh... pretty well demonstrated that now it's not going to do what you thought okay There's a reason. That's not an actual one. Okay, that's not a that's not the one we're looking for and everybody looked at the color looked at this the material and then pretty well figured Oh, okay. I've got a good understanding So anyway, these helmets are good. They're intended to do but they're not going to stop everything They were never in they never expected them to and if you need to go back and read up with the factory specifications for the equipment Okay, that's all you have to do. And by the way, it is available. I just read off part of the evaluation, both private and public, part of it was in history from the guys who were actually with the company or with one of the associate companies and who dealt with these people on a regular basis. Okay. So again, we'll see what was next in line. Anyway, real quick, just a reminder, the helmets are at MajorSurplus.com, I don't know if they actually have any left in stock or if they've gone back to the regular price. Because one of the things we've always questioned is, can they operate or is there a way to uh... manipulate the system in from the offer shutdown position and get it back up online for their purposes and i'd be willing to bet they do i mean and this might be one of those tests were it be rather fascinating to see what the end result is and it would validate you know our discussion oh yeah it turns out that sure they can manipulate the uh... system be at the phone uh... here's another fun one how many of you have uh... gps technology Anybody have a GPS system out there? I'd plug it in tomorrow. Anybody have a thermal sighting system? Mark, why would you want to do that? Well, guys, we've pointed this out for years. Remember when they brought all these Thors online? You know what's really cool is you have a digital onboard system for GPS tracking. Now, guys, the only way that can happen is you're sending a signal and receiving a signal, right? So it would be interesting to see if you guys are listening and you have one of those on the you know defended thors Now would you bought it out of the box if you have any of the newer thermal systems or night vision systems that have the GPS on board? They're using the same frequencies and the same grid that they use for all of these other tools that we're talking about And I would be curious to see. I actually put all them on a table. We know that at two o'clock they're going to do this, right? Guys, I say for some of you, you might want to plug in one or two of these and see what lights up. Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. It would be a good thing because it confirms something we've already suspected anyway. And it's a general test. They've already gone down a shopping list. And I'll guarantee that you're not supposed to think about the ones that I just rattled off. Anything that has GPS tracking on board is tied into the grid. And that can include anything that has GPS on board. there's a lot of systems actually don't need it i would be surprised to put a refrigerator as gps like goodness the refrigerator move i've got gps i can find it in my kitchen it lost but i would be willing to bet that it has that particular option on board like you're talking and thinking bridges just like you're talking and thinking still which are so important because for years you just couldn't handle life without a talky talky refrigerator. I actually can confirm that, Dad, yes. They at least have access to the same GPS that Google Maps do, some of them, at the Android controlled refrigerators. It can map at a location from the fridge to the nearest store that has the item quote-unquote that you're missing. So if it can do that, it's accessing GPS, it knows where that fridge is, right? Exactly. so for everybody out there again say you want to play turn up in fact you know you know what we did just mention the other things we should be keeping an eye on if you're anywhere near the house and you're going to be there at two o'clock or if you're any place where you have smart kitchen technology you might want to hang around the kitchen hooking up all the rest of the stuff we're talking about and watch to see how the refrigerator or stove respond yeah the television is already on the list yeah all got it that is something at all thank you got a mister mister government let's see what happens tomorrow that would be rather fascinating would that did any of you think about that all how many different ways are they able to turn on and listen in because it's so important to do so what do you want to bet then factor would be another bizarre one you also going to get maybe a handshake from your refrigerator because you could talk to your cell phone So that means that it's got the same signal communication capability as the idiot phone, right? Most important is we use the super tech or the present tech, a very limited degree, but we also think of it as like we use it while we can, but very quickly we're going to be going stepping into something else. And what I mean by that, it's kind of like your infantry, but you get to be mechanized until somebody shoots your vehicle and then your infantry again. So it's a goodie. The truck or the APC is a goodie, but you're always infantry. See what I mean? You're always infantry. You're always going to be dealing with this without technology. That's how you plan everything. And that way, if you do have something that's useful for the time being, it's good. When the time is when it's gone, you're not crying, you're not having to readjust dramatically because there's a major psychological issue or problem, you get the job done. You continue with the task because you already have a plan and it doesn't include all their BS technology. You look at it, it will tell you what the size of the mask is. And so you get a size range, you get a spread of masks, even if all you've got just zeros and ones, for $2.50, you've now got a bunch of small personnel masks available that otherwise you probably wouldn't have bought because you can't afford to spend $40, $50, or $25 even per person on a mask. Now filters, you can either use the tank filter with the hose or you can use the 40mm, and that's a 40mm by the way, or you can use the standard 40mm filter. When you get there, you want to search Italian military helmet, 54.95, I'll say 55 dollars. and uh... again i've got a there they are either lightly used or they are in excellent condition you know we're excellent old inventory they're not brand new obviously they're old stock you're looking for another kevlar helmet for the inventory for people who don't have one and you want a ballistic helmet with a little better protection in terms of you know well for the pattern and you know for the uh... bolting potential itself uh... these are a military contract helmet and they are not a chinese aftermarket helmet what kind of interesting on that if they didn't read the part where the guy actually the new who the employees employees were and they're most of work on the end here from gania uh... which i thought was rather interesting uh... some of them having to travel across london they didn't necessarily live in the area where the factory was which was uh... sub note about the factory in the conditions so thought that was rather interesting that i think i get that they have to have a late to the job but anyway uh... as it is the uh... pelvis themselves are in very good excellent shape the standard uh... kevlar u.s. past get all the covers would work or you could probably because he's don't have this pronounced a flare uh... and i like and i don't know i'll have to other people don't videos on a wide bother but uh... if you compare notes you can see the difference in the helmets when they're sitting side by side however of the mission in a large might fit the helmets a michigan look over here cheap now why do i bring that up all explain in a minute but not now uh... russian gas mass ten pack for twenty five dollars these are an excellent condition as described they're everything that they promised them to be but you need to keep them in the dark keep them field up so that they will last even longer and you need to make a transport system in a storage container so that you can put them on the shelf and you know that they're secure from the light because their IR protection isn't as great. It may be or may not. I don't know what year these masks were made. I'm not going to bother even trying to find out. I'll just have a policy that I establish for maintaining the equipment. Okay. And I would point out again, if you're going to put them in your backpack, We're going to be out of sight, out of mind, and covered up pretty well anyway. I put one of the backpack along with my spare filter because why not? Something happens where my other mask gets fractured, windshield, so to speak, or other damage. Guess what? I know I've got another mask I can pull on. On the other hand, if I have a friend, somebody is short of mask, or we run into people that we're rescuing, and everybody in our team has an extra mask, we need an extra filter at all possible. Instead, everybody has a mask so that we can DD the AO with some semblance of intelligence rather than running around like three blind mice. Okay, well, one person can see two other blind mice in tow. That wouldn't be the best situation, would it? So the first one is Italian military surplus combat slash pass-gat helmet, $55. It's Italian military Kevlar helmet. Second is Russian gas mask, 10 pack. uh... the first is fifty five the second is twenty five dollars the next out item i didn't mention before i didn't know that they had these back in stock but now i do they just might think they just got a back in good numbers mud boots with the insulate now these are a cabela product i already have twenty pairs of these i have a mix of them and some of you listening actually had forty pairs but some of you bought some of these from us locally here to supplement your footwear. And they had up to size 13 and I think size 14. We only got one of the 14s in. Well, they show that they have size 10, 12, 14, and 15. So if you got a big boot and you got a big foot, and this is a mud boot, this is a slip-on mud boot, which makes for another pair of boots, wet weather boots. Anyway, and cold wet weather. These are a thin, solid line. Not real super heavy, but heavy enough. and uh... again the old half of them but i got actually have the cabela moniker in the mold for the soul are and also for the body of the boat but they're all the same model so this is kind of like some of the other stuff we picked up before where either it was maybe it's counterfeit but i don't think so cabela stuff which slave labor countries and uh... so these are these are chinese are manufactured which a lot of the stuff is nowadays So it's size 10, size 12, size 14, and size 15. If you've got to kick two cows in the rear end to make a parabou- then these 14s and 15s are worth picking up. Now these are true size, so if you take a, you know, in other words, I wouldn't go down in size, you're better off going up anyway if you want to put a good pair of socks in here, maybe two pairs. So this is a good alternate pair of cold weather winter boots and, you know, for either work or the future when the time comes and you need more footwear. Also, if you get more in one pair, you can let one pair dry out rather than going, man, I got snow in those. I know I got them wet, but I got to put them back on. No, you don't. I got two more pairs. No, I don't. I got two more pairs. I don't want the one to sit upside down. I got a little air breather unit. They're drying out. The other ones are on standby that were drying out yesterday. And guess what? I got another pair ready to go right now. That's how it should be. After all, you're going to be farming. These are utility work boots. Farming boots, muck boots, that's what they are. Mud boots with thinsulate. And they are $9.95 a pair. That's actually the title for them. Mud boots with thinsulate. It gets by the easy as you can imagine. And last but not least, although I didn't get another set of these because I have already put a number of them in stash. Now, another thing, Communications Tuesday, now, I just had this question again, and I'm going to go over here. There are a couple of other company names you probably have not seen in those bundle radios. Now, I will remind you again, I've talked about this a couple months ago, the Balfongs are what everybody's familiar with, okay? But they're, it's a made up company name, so to speak. In other words, there are a number of shield government contract companies that build for overseas export for china to rake in cash it's how it works okay now there are other company names uh... for or that have popped up and most of the people are familiar with the they weren't in the american market until uh... just a little while ago here i think just this last year and they are basically another variation the internal by what all our people have told me now are the same as the Balfong, so it's basically they've got another name or another production line producing the same product or off the base, same basic lines, but with a different hull on the outside. Okay? And one of the neat things about this is that if you look, you'll find that if you pay attention to the basic patterns of the radio itself, you'll realize where the switches are, how the antennas are hooked up. that you'll see that the baseline is there, including the control panel, which is especially critical. Where are the keypads? Where is the control panel? What are the dimensions? If you lay them side by side, that's the first tell right there. The internals are all the same. Instead of Pontiac, you've got a Chevy, or maybe you could have got a Buick or an Old. but each one different body basic core systems the same it's the doodads and extra goodies maybe a bigger engine that they put in but the basic Pontiac the basic Chevy you really under the hood their identity traditionally were uh... one of the things that you can do though is go in bulk and it doesn't have to be eBay but eBay is quick and you know convenient in that there's a bunch of problem bundle packages that you can pick up uh... example of the bell found and bf eight eight eight below the barrel for a while uh... sixty dollars and forty nine cents for six of the radios basically ten dollars of uh... peace and four-day free four-day shipping now that this six radios but uh... if you go twenty radios It's $165.99. I would say that's $166 as far as March concerned. Now are these the most sophisticated of the... Baoh-Yang radio? No, no, not really, but it's serviceable enough. And again, remember, these radios are ready to go out of the box into operation. The more you search, the more you find that there are other radio bundles available and they get bigger and bigger and bigger as you go. uh... you may not need bigger you want a certain uh... for instance uh... maybe what certain model but you also only need twenty for your particular group although i would remind you if you have twenty people and you need twenty radios you need anywhere from thirty to forty radios on the shelf now why is that well you probably planning on fighting for a while and that you don't know when some kind of go boo boo people are going to drop radio someone's going to crush it with a rifle from his gonna step on it uh... they're going to drop it and it's from three stories up from all day and be the radio no no no no no no no walk it down all you have cracked there we go yeah he wasn't really a baseball player when you through it to him right yeah they didn't go over very well so for that reason again of you want to have quantities beyond what are your basic numbers you're going to be handing supplemental radios out to l p o p s uh... you you you may want you may or may not put your medical people on the same grid as your combat tactical radios uh... i recommend that you don't uh... for a number of reasons are the no medical unit should have bridging you operators who will be talking to the combat units to provide support medical should have its own clear clean frequencies for operation because of battle chatter back and forth for medical support between medical specialist say it in LP or at a forward aid station versus a medic or somebody who might be far forward who's got somebody he's trying to save and it also can be at the next tier you got it back up got back to the aid station you're trying to get him back to the equivalent to a mash unit and you have to some kind of service that you're not familiar with you got some here that just you're not just don't know what to do well that's what the radio's report because faster than sending a runner or going out taking notes and coming back now the only problem with radio problem is remember your enemy can hear everything you say although i've been corrected my it doesn't make any difference in a matter what remember your enemy has more throw capacity perspiring and fiddle farting with you than anything else what they're doing with your cell phones right now look at your doing with your computer right now look what they're doing gorgon shopping list electronic eavesdropping encounter measures are the norm not the exception get over it live with it and remember to live with it you also want to use your radio's less and when you do use them again minimize and maximize is how it works Now, yes, somebody just noticed, well, Mark, there's a number of bundles, but if you do the initial... When you do the initial search, the price range is about the same, but you can save a few dollars, depending on which way you go with the radios. Like, for instance, you really get a good jump when you go from the 6, 8, or 10 pack to the 20 pack. And with the 20 pack, you can buy, if you look around, if you search through the different radio bundle deals, okay? uh... you'll keep will also get gang not just individual station but you can buy gang uh... charging units now look at a convenient cuz they take up less space to a degree but the reason to handle to move if you have to eat back or if you're a mobile unit uh... certainly individual charger for individual radio small and out of the way But when it comes time to bug out, either having something rack connected to something where all you do is pick up the whole thing, fold the door, shut a window, bounce the side of the truck with your fist, and you're going down the road. You've already reeled in the antenna lines or whatever. The same is true with regard to loose equipment. If you can minimize the package, you can maximize your speed. Something to take into consideration. Now, all of the bundles that I've seen, and this should be true with most, if not all, have the headset, little earbud headset systems, and our basic module across the board. There's no difference from A to B to C to all the way down through 20 and or 40 and or 60. Now somebody asked me the last time and I never did get to answer it, I never took the time. Well what if you want 100 radios? Well they're going to be all these people, but yeah, would they probably give you a little better buy? Perhaps. I don't know what the overall final big pat on the head would be, but since you get free shipping with pretty much all of them, Needles to say every dollar you save means it's that many more radio. You can either translate it, you get everything cheaper, or you get more free radios, right? You get more free radios. If you're saving, you buy 20 and you save $3 per unit, well then hell, you're basically getting every radio, for every three radios, you're buying, getting a radio for free, depending upon your savings there. You're getting, for every three radios you buy, buy three, get one free. In some cases it's by three get two free depending upon how many you purchase. So that is a big savings and some people actually do it that way. The baseline is not bad for the radio. So what they do is, I'm serious about this, how do you determine what you're going to put into storage? Well, when I do a bundle deal, all of them that I paid for, I calculate whatever money I bought, the ones that I, what the regular price would be, I pair those all off. Now all the extra ones that you have go over into the reserve storage and it's just they're paid for. I mean, they're free. You know, you paid for the number of radios based on the baseline $10 price, you know, $550 apiece. So that's a neat way mathematically just to make a decision. It's an arbitrary thing, but it's something that does work. So you might want to take that into consideration. Another thing is you'll never have enough. Now the neat thing about like the 888s, the 888 model, is that does have a detachable antenna and if you are going to buy these, I will give you the shopping list. A, you want more batteries. B, you want to buy a bundle of the antennas because they will break down, not may, will break down over a period of time. You also want, if you can, a better headset. I prefer the headsets that actually have the harp that goes over the head. with an earrest and a regular boom. That doesn't mean that you have to do that. And these radios all come with the simplest of earbuds slash, you know, micro booms so you can talk and they are convenient. But, you know, they flop out when they're most needed. Just something to think about because they are lightweight and they're, you know, soft duty. you gotta be careful with them. That's the only thing. Now you will be, you will learn to be careful with things anyway. Here's something we're pretty sloppy right now because your assumption is you can always run down the road to eBay or Shmidlabs or DX or whoever and get a whole bunch more of these things. But that's gonna end. That's not an if, that's just a when. That's gonna end. So for everybody out there you need to be thinking that way in advance with regard to this technology, the handheld radio technology. Chinese are your enemy, not your friends. Now another question people had was on something that we kind of mentioned here earlier, all this electronics, how much of it does have a GPS or a ping system? Well your phones have a ping system and they're actually reasonably affordable to install. I mean they're only like some many pennies additional cost so i would assume that a lot of the electronics the more expensive the more money you're willing to spend the more likely that there is something on board uh... they just to the worst you won't be disappointed now one of the things you could do is disconnect and shut down the equipment until it's going to be absolutely used usually in close proximity in close point contact to the enemy so you know again if they want to dump stuff on their own people find uh... the other thing to remember is this is why when you over run an enemy operative if you kill somebody if you feel a tronix or anything that looks unique on board like uh... i don't recognize that not granted you gotta be careful but uh... if you've identified that they have friend full markers you make an enemy corps in front of you like right there if you know where the friend full marker is you grab that throw it on your on your own your gear We can track and monitor it, but we're not going to be using it the way the enemy uses track monitor for friend-fo electronics. But you're just creating total math problems with regard to the formula. And again, from A to B, B to C, movement, especially if they're not getting the proper feedback because the data has been skewed. Yeah, Bob is moving the wrong direction. Bob must be retreating. Well Bob isn't Bob. Well wait, but by the time they figure that out, throw it on a corpse. You know, move it around, give it to somebody else. Put it on somebody who just wants to be a runner. And have, hey, go take this with you. When you get out so far, drop it over there on a bush. Hang it up on a bush, up underneath that pine tree. Any pine tree, I don't care. And just keep right on. And so that way, again, the database is still being fed. Some people say, well crush them and destroy them. No, no, you want to create more confusion and ad hoc question marks. Remember, your enemy has data addiction. And the cool thing is you can use it against them. You can flood them. You can give them more than they bargained for. and continue to give them what they think they want even though they finally will eventually realize that has nothing to do with what they needed that's something that can easily be done over and over and over again guys come up will be creative prior proper planning prevents piss poor performance yeah i i do see that for a janet uh... you know the two-pack bell fongs like the bf eighty eight uh... eight eighty eight uh... which are you which f uh... their five waters there was two over twenty one forty nine And that's where you start going, man, if I buy a few more, they're cheaper. And if I buy a few more, they're cheaper still. And if I buy a bunch, they're really cheap. This is why I would also recommend, if you can, if you're really serious about that unit, find other people who either think that they'd like to have a gimmick radio. You don't care why the other people are buying it. You want to save money, okay? And I've told you this before. Find relatives. If you're going to give relatives gifts, give them radios and stuff like that. What? Are they thinking? Well, probably not. Are they motivated? You'll find out. But if they're not, hey, you know, Martha, remember I gave you those radios? Yeah, I don't use them. Or do you want them? Well, no, not really. Oh, can I have them? Oh, okay. Boy, that's mean, Mark. No, it's obvious I spent a lot of money on a really nice present. But if you decided you don't like the present, I could take it back. Oh, that's mean! Well, if the people are shallow-hals, do I care? No, I don't. You see how that works? So one of the things is either A, you might find out, oh yeah, Sally and Bob were highly motivated and they were really excited. Oh wow, I was thinking about buying some of these. I already got two and I wanted two more. All right! Well darn, you won't get those back. uh... but on the other hand remember uh... the other way to do this if you have written no neighbors relatives and they actually were talking about buying something get together with them at least on the radio should say while music without a cell phone because i live so many minutes of my cell phone package i don't want to spend anymore the efforts radios are cheaper i could run a but i don't have to worry about the service and they're really great okay that makes sense it's kind of like uh... again of poor man cell phone uh... not but that's what you tell anybody who had any questions remember tell everybody what you want them to hear that they will hear what you want them to hear don't try to make comerge problem they're stupid just use the all again but but but you never know you might make up but you got to work at it and you need to work with whoever you can you don't care who they are if they're going to buy some you buy some with them everybody works together you got a better price night to the fourth maybe a probably by maybe two or three more instead of the two you were thinking about okay another thing yet there are a base radios there are for instance f r s base radios uh... as far as range goes to the other something uh... that i've talked about before the base radios are basically just a handheld unit with a different champion mayor may not have an amplifier but uh... there are a parent based radios out there for instance and i've had people are talking about these for a while uh... the problem is whether or not anybody actually has those in stock and the fact that i think the best example uh... gmrs frs base station to a radio model twenty one dash eighteen forty six uh... these are one i think i've run into a lot and i'd like totally overlooked to go because there are weather type radio and i totally overlooked these things i've been walking by not not now enough for about the last year and a half but a few years back i picked up a bunch of didn't even think about it only because it was just electronics became with another estate sale The guy was a little bit of a radio geek, although he had a bunch of other machinery. And what I did was I put him in a box, and then I had another one here, another yard sale, and I looked at it, and I thought about, wait a minute, FRS? And it was like, oh no, oh no, no, no, no, no, I didn't even think about that. And what it is is basically it's a base radio, although they're not very large. They're really the speakers, you know, all the biggest component. but these are small desktop or like for workstation. FRS radios have their own little single rabbit ear. They got a wall wart so they can run off wall power rather than you eating up batteries. And they are out and about, but people are wanting money for those now. They're not as cheap as they used to be, but that's okay. You can still find them hanging around. And in addition to the radio, we call it Radio Jerk, Radio Shack, in addition to the Radio Shack models, there's about two or three others. GE had one. Everybody had a variation on the idea for a little bit. When FRS came out, I believe, is when these really pulsed out because they were testing the market. and uh... they're worth having uh... in fact for like l p o p is or if you want to go from the bar to the you know say the house and make up a little radio net like around the house uh... you put these at work stations like desks or you know in the kitchen or whatever and you could use the in place of the handhelds because they're again fixation kind of like regular telephone you walk over you know tap the talk and you know have a conversation back in uh... some have a speaker options some do not so we all the word for voice you know voice talk slash uh... speaker like you do on your cell phone but they are a decent little unit i'd die deployed every one of them i have now uh... to a number of different allies and they're all within close proximity so they have what is a media brain chaperas radio in addition to their handheld efforts radios everybody's happy plus life kept like a ten of them in reserve i think it's either nine or ten and i have those interadios so we have that as a center and then you have the f r s radios to drop off for operations and security so but again i'm not out anything efforts i collect f r s radios every time i go to yard sales i think i've got three hundred of them but i just got his onesies and three z's and twos uh... i got somebody art still uh... kick myself in the ass uh... five dollars a set at a yard sale all this last weekend and we just couldn't get before they while they were open had a case of them at five dollars apiece and i picked up one and i thought uh... probably should get their as and i did by the time i got back some woman came in bought the whole yard sale because it was all distressed merchandise company stuff so there's an example brand new in the bubble uh... to radios but five dollars and ready to roll so they're out there the stuff out there if you look around but that's the kind of stuff right again those two will go with a handful of similar if not the same model radio and they'll be part of a ten you know ten radio squad kit and or uh... basic it whatever i choose to throw it on a bag they go in a bundle and then they go into storage away from me well let's see and hopefully the answer is the questions you can go over to ebay uh... you can search bundle or you know again uh... 20x ball thing you know be a be a o f e n g 20x and what that'll do is 20 in fact you know what I didn't do I want to see what I haven't tried that 100x ball thing radio bad bow fang radio Let's see if they do have somebody with a hundred X bundle. Well there you go Actually, I should have done that forgive me. I should have done that sooner And if you want to buy a hundred, $913.45 with four-day free shipping, and I was right, still get free shipping. And they've got 913, 923. They also have the Baufeng UV 5R, very popular, this is one you guys do have. 100 of the UV-5Rs, 5 watt units, 4 watt units. two thousand one hundred and sixty dollars and ninety nine cents and paid to be about the same base price to matter well well you know for giving a scroll down and the same unit for thirty dollars that thirty dollars is thirty dollars for a hundred pieces so we are just do the one hundred acts and then belfang and then uh... right in the middle punch in the number for the unit that you're interested in and you'll get a gay kickback Now, I always have to do this because immediately when this popped up, there also was the 100X BTT acoustic earpiece. Now this is the CIA-slash-secret-squirrel-type springy cord that goes in the ear, and you got the, you know, the voice talk mic, the little pell hookup or whatever. Problem. These are for the, well, it says for Kenwood M. Balthang, two-pin radio TH- k two zero eight now i would have to confirm that because it just because of the if it says kenwood kenwood are mostly proprietary now i could be it could be that kenwood saw the error of their ways and decided not to work the going because the kenwood germane in the same plant they do the ball fangs up others three or four effect of the motor rollers are made over there at the same in the same same production lines and for four hundred ninety nine dollars you can get one hundred of the p t t acoustic earpiece for the kenwood baltian to pin radio and these supposedly are interbreedable in other words they work from one to the next i don't know about that because now on the other hand says for kenwood with the arrow this is where you gotta watch the chinese you really do uh... again it has to be for the model you have to got to confirm that Now most of them appear that it appears they do crossbreed, they do crosswork. But be careful, beware. And yes, there are a number of other headsets available. You can spend any amount of money you want on headsets. I mean any amount. You want to spend hundreds of dollars on headsets? Oh my god, there are people out there who will sell you two and three hundred dollar headsets for your bell phone or tactical radio and by God more than I'm gonna spend If you have uncle sugar daddy running, yeah, yeah, I guess so but it still may not be worth the effort. Go ahead color jump in there Yeah, I think the probably what you're looking at for the like the Kenwood designation They've got like the Motorola, which is basically like the pins On the side for the two station pin. I'm familiar. That's what but there again We don't make sure I'm just reminding everybody and if it does interlock, that's good Yeah, the the UV 5r. I've got I've got quite quite a few of them now that they've got they take the Kenwood the Kenwood So I think there's also you say oh, it's got their own standard too, but yeah That's all I'll drop off. No appreciate that. That's the feedback I need because This has been an issue for a while because when they do the pictures, remember I mentioned this, they use the same image and a lot of people have made the mistake of ordering another pin type. So you've got to confirm the pin configuration. Some have more like a cell phone power supply pin, multi-pin slash flat plate. There's a number of different ones, guys, but make sure that you have the model that works with yours. Read what's there. read the ad don't just look at the picture going on at the one mark was talking about no no no no make sure that you read and typically they will cross reference that's why the these popped up with the radios and it's kenwood belfian to pin radio th dash k two zero a three one six zero and almighty got in x dash three two zero you didn't have enough numbers uh... did you know and you need more letters to go ahead Yeah, this is Todd down in Orlando. Have you used these antennas which are a little bit longer that get these extended range antennas? The brand name is Nagoya. Have you seen these? I have to look at those. Well, we have the Chinese extended model on the bell fangs. uh... i bought a bunch of those what three years ago when there was a real good deal on them and the only thing that happened is what i expected i mentioned it when we got those is you want to either tape it in advance but up at the very kept where they have a little ballpoint it still cast it's all armored it's all coated the same way but that that spot it will separate a little bit and the other is down at the base now if these are longer than that uh... what i think those are like eight or ten inches uh... is it really good like it like fourteen inches all these are bigger still while while i was still there again they're probably gonna work just fine but what happened is like we were talking about the gas masks whatever it is with the polymers are using they they don't break down right away but in long-term experience you have the uh... the chip has a tendency to fracture along alien lines uh... it has to do with the casting with the mold whatever they did and it was it was dipped out of that and uh... onto that wire so what i do with most of those i still do famous maybe just you know either duct tape or or electrical tape and just put a little fine line around the base and then put one up at the very top, not going to bother, it won't interfere with the signal, but what it will do is reinforce the covering so that it doesn't break down on you, it doesn't separate. Once it separates, moisture gets in there and that moisture will cause problems with your grounding on the antenna. The reason I ask is because I'm seeing mixed reviews on these longer antennas, some people say they get a better reception and then some people hook them up. and say that they're not worth it, that the original is better. But the thing I like about it is, and that's another thing to talk about, is some of these bow things are now, they've got the tri-band. So instead of 70 centimeter and two meter, you've got the 1.25 meter. And the reason I would want that, just like CB, is that if you've got 2 meter and 70 centimeter that are clogged with a lot of people, it's nice to jump over to 1.25 meters if there's not going to be very many people over there. Exactly. And one of the advantages of that too is clarity. Not only, you're not going to have any background noise, but you might find that that's a little crisper depending on distance. That's actually going to tighten up your transmission person to person as far as perception. so that actually is a good idea. In fact, when you brought that up, I just hit the search on that. And for about $30, the Bao Feng UV 5R3 Tri-Band Walkie Talkie Long Range comes with two antennas. And, oh no, wait a minute, comes with three antennas. How do you like that? Well, that's the reason I brought that up, is because if you go onto Amazon and you type in the NA-320A, it's a tri-band long antenna. So you've got all three bands on one antenna. You get two of them right here. You get two of them for $19. Again, I wouldn't see a problem with that. In fact, you know what you could do? I haven't tried this yet, but I know it wouldn't hurt. You know, on the tips, because the tips get snagged on stuff. You know what would work is tool dip. You know how you got the rubber material you can get that you can just dip a tool in and you actually create a rubber coating? You can get them any color you want. And you know what? I would do the tips and those. I just thought about that. That was something we discussed before, but I would, looking at that particular model that they're offering, it's the FM 136-174, 400 to 420 megahertz. The longer the two. Not even both of them have the same problem. I'm gonna I'm gonna say this okay There's there was a guy on eBay his name was not eBay, but YouTube his name was Dino And he was really big into CB radios, and he did a video that showed that you know when you buy these fire stakes or the Wilson CB antennas, and they've got that adjustable tip for SWR and then over the top of it there's like a rubber protecting cap. Well he showed that the SWR was significantly different from the time that you adjusted it and the time that you put that rubber cap over the top and he figured that there was some kind of silicone material on the top of the cap. And so the the tool dip that you're talking about watch how much you put on there and do your SDDR and see what kind of reading you get with the tool dip that's significantly different then replace the tool dip with maybe Superglue or something but it might make a big difference it might not I don't know. It depends on whether or not they had any other kind of filament like graphic fiber you know graphic graphic graphite fiber or other materials Yeah, this is Street Robbery, I'm not going to have to worry about it. Well, I'm just saying that it can be any number of different things that can alter the signal like that, whatever it was that they did with the material. And it still, well, it has to be the material, because what it does is it alters how it reflects the signal, how it dampens or hampers the signal. That's what it's doing. So that wouldn't be hard to figure out, though, to play with. And then again, I'm just looking at some of the other bundles here. You can buy the Tri-Unit bundles too. So, well, again, they'll sell anything if you want to spend the money. Here's another thing about these bow things. And I've never got one because I've only screwed around with either CB radios or I've got this 10, 11, and 12 meter radio. But a problem, if you're going to be using these at nighttime, uh... is there a way to turn off all the lights on board to worry or to get it down to the point where it isn't reflecting your face because remember people out there have night vision and you bring out that belting radio you don't like that but christmas tree return on all the white on exactly well some people have done with the even with uh... some of the older pieces of equipment they've made uh... basically blackout visors like a periscope you know i can look like a periscope but a couple of triangles on either end, a shield piece for the top and a red colored panel for the front of it. That way when you're looking at it, you held hold on a bit of an angle, but it also, and today as Don pointed out, you'd probably go green rather than red, because even red light with night vision has tested out. Well, there is one particular Bao Feng radio. Well, there's a couple of them. Shoot. Here's the model. It's the BF9 and also the UV-S9. The BF-F9 and the UV-S9. They have an inverted display. Yeah, top and bottom rather than the top. Yep. Well, no. What I mean was in the inverted display, the digital part of it is white, whereas the background is black. On all the rest of them, the background is colored and the digital readout is black numbers. But the inverted one on the ones I just listed... I know, I was looking at the one you were talking about. Yeah, the UV-S9. Yeah, so you see, I'm just wondering if that would make a difference for you. And another thing, you've got a bunch of these. Is there a dimmer on board? None that I've seen on the more sophisticated models, but I'd have to look a little closer on the latest ones because that's probably been an issue. A lot of people tape them over or they shield them. That's one of the tricks that's been done most commonly. In fact, all you have to do is use blue or a richer color of whatever green range. green would be your better choice because green won't show up the green elimination that light won't be observed easily by the night vision. Good call to put there. I just want to pipe in real quick. I've been running those longer Nagoya antennas for years and I recommend them. Another good one is diamond. The only problem is Those are both Japanese made and the vast majority of the ones you'll find on the market are Chinese knockoffs which aren't quite as good but they're still an improvement anyway so you know whatever. So again the price is right either way. Yeah. Okay that's the big thing I mean because again the if the antenna costs more than the radio it's like oh god. This scope cost more than the rifle. Right, exactly. Well that happens though, yeah that's true. In this case, yeah well, again the antenna makes it talk, makes it makes the signal go. So I'm looking to see if there's anything else jumping off the screen. We are at the top by the way guys. Almost there, give me a minute. For everybody that's wondering again, we kind of got on the subject where we needed to be because it's Communications Tuesday. uh... but if you go to ebay punch in one hundred x bell found that pop-down radio and then put the model number that you're interested in and if you really need a large quantity of i don't know how malicious to whom bought a bunch like this and one of the group over on the west side of the state they did a hundred count bundle i should think it into a really probably fifty and fifty or sixty and sixty whatever it was uh... but anyway uh...
