You look to see what you can find if you can't find the box right there you go to a scrapyard and You try to find because usually the guys are smart They're not just chucking stuff into the piles a lot of the scrap yards the guys husband their equipment And what you're looking for is you may not get all the breakers with it or it's been busted up because it's been pulled, but you can, if you can find the model you're looking for that accepts the most common breakers out there that are on the shelf right now, or if you can cherry pick it from another location. Maybe you don't have the box, but somebody else does. What you want to do is first identify that you can get all of the different breakers necessary to load the box completely, which I would do right now. I wouldn't count on the idea that, well, I'll come back and buy more breakers later on. Uh-uh, you buy as many breakers and extras as you need to fill that box. You want to know why? When this country goes down the way it's going right now, look, we're not even, they didn't even pull the rug out yet. You can't get windshields. You can't get 30% of the part you need for an engine rebuild. You can't get certain electrical components, you can't get certain chemical components, you can't get finish or even coarse materials. And look what they did with the wood supply, and there's no shortage of wood. Look what they did by manipulating the wood supply. What does it cost for a one 4x8 sheet of piss and... But in our area here, it jumped by about two, about two dimes. 20 cents more a gallon. Boom. And again, $3.45 a gallon for gas. Oh, wait a minute, that's right, yeah. $3.49 right down the street. Around the corner, a half a mile, $3.49 a gallon. Yeah. And right across the street, by the way, $0.10 plus, which means, hmm, where would you go? Does that make any sense? But see, they're not even looking at the competition. They're just being told you're going to jack the price to this level. Not everybody's following because nobody wants to go that route yet because they know the economy's soft anyway. So heads up on that. But thank you for bringing up the box issue because you got to reverse it. Guys, you got to look at availability and then, well, can I find the core part that I need for all those things to plug into? If I can find the one, I can probably find the box, but I may have to shop a greater distance to do it. Well, what you do is you go in and find out what is on the shelf in a certain model. It might be an older model, but brand new, brand new parts that you might have to go and, you know, search a few locations to find that box and go the biggest you can. if at all possible and fill it and still buy more of the breakers and have the misspares because you are going to replace something to wear out eventually wears out none of the newer stuff in that great especially with the stuff made out of mexico so let's assume the worst we won't be disappointed that way our infrastructure is built locally and in our personal level so that we're ready for what they're planning on doing to try and undermine the economy of the united states Prior, proper mining prevents piss poor performance. I got a friend who works for, who's a salesman and a Chevrolet dealer and they're telling them by Thanksgiving or Christmas you won't be able to buy a new truck. Yep. And just going along with what you're saying, you know, I just thought I'd add to it. well and and on that point okay this is what we've been doing uh... with the shabby silverado's from two thousand five and before back to ninety nine actually two thousand are the best window for reliability and and peak durability for that engineering cycle which started in the early nineties uh... my nancy's uh... brother-in-law and actually all of nancy's family worked in flint at general motors But he works in Chevy truck research. When they first came out with the 1990 model, he came back home and told everybody, do not buy it. This is a guy who worked for Chevy and is trying to sell you trucks, right? Do not buy it, we have problems. Well, sure enough, they brought back a bunch of those for frame cracks because they completely designed the truck in 1991. off of computer without doing traditional physical mechanical testing at the test facilities. They just made it and they failed. It was a horrible problem. Now they could fix it, but it was a horrible problem. But from that point forward, they corrected their path for a bit. And the upgrade or the top end of that is the 2000 to 2005 series of Silverado trucks and the Suburbans and Tahoes. Parts availability is good Mexico China but a lot of other people make them and of course Canada does and the United States so there's a big inventory of parts but that's always been true with most of the Chevy's anyway. However, the big thing now is investing in getting not only the vehicle up to physical performance levels that are acceptable, but getting spares, spares and more spares. And another thing, I know it's tempting, I do it. I just got a F-150, I couldn't pass it up. I don't drive F-150 Forts. The rest of the way we have everybody else driving them. But I got it because I couldn't pass it up for the price. if you're going to buy trucks or if you're going to buy, think tactical, you want all your vehicles to be basically the same now. So wherever you can trade them out, you need to be doing this so you're on the same page with however many, two, three, four, five vehicles you can put together. Silverado's, Suburban's, Tahoe's, they're all the same model so that everything's interchangeable. Now with the Silverado's, for instance, you've got your standard Silverado, looks just like the Suburban in the front end. The 1525s, if they're the, what we call, I call them the Waspi or the Samurai, they've got the Minai front end headlights. Those, all those are great pattern trucks and are most desirable right now. In fact, they've gone up in price at this point in time, not down in price, just to let you know. Why? Well, the aluminum frame forage are a real problem. Everybody's lamenting about those. And most of the newer Chevy's have got a lot of issues right now because they've chanced out where they could and it's either China's port parts or Mexican parts. And they also have too many electrical widgets on them that just create a guaranteed failure. One of the good things about the 2000s, 2005s, actually even the 99s and before, is that you can transist them out to other engines that are earlier designed because they overlap with the earlier engines like the 350 Chevy, which is out there in force. I think I have three of them stored away right now. I've got another one for the F-150 for the Ford that's 30,000 miles on it. But you can you can find them laying around or you can find them again as wrecks and you can strip them for what you need Put it on the shelf and you need to be thinking this way tactical dip it We have to build it up at the tactical level. Don't expect a solution from above coming down. That isn't gonna happen There is nobody coming to help America. What's really cool about that is that the axles that are on all those M715s were the original axles used on the first Bigfoot. That's what they built the first Bigfoot with. And if you have an M715, it was designed like the gamma goat for the dark side of the moon. It doesn't go over 45 miles an hour, it's governed. Because they're just the work right with per section so that you can carve out and make the angles for like the you know inside the cab against the back wall Then you carve here the second part goes in the box in the back Against the wall towards the cab now you've double armored the rear end of the vehicle you put one more piece where the tailgate is when it opens and closes Hell yeah, nothing coming through there short of a 50 and even a 50 oh after three pull three layers is going to have more work to do So I'm advising everybody to buy that plastic that adds some ballistic protection. There's different thicknesses of plastic Start out if you're brand new newbie start out with a real thin stuff and get good at putting that stuff on because That's a talent and I tried that with my van at the anti-brake stuff I got the real heavy stuff and it would not conform to my windshield looks like a Acid trip when you're looking from the behind with all the bubbles in it. Yeah So, but anyhow, that will aid a lot and if they have to beat a lot to get into your vehicle, it gives you time to do things. But also... You need time to be able to get to things that are very important in life and that are very important to death too. Theirs. So you're getting more food while you can for whatever time is left. Don't forget rice and beans as we've said a million times, but you can store that in so many different ways that there's no reason for it to be a weevil problem and there's no reason for you to lose any of it. Another thing is fuel we talked about earlier here with the situation is you're screwed on that to a degree because whatever you're going to pay are going to pay. So if you can save in one area, every penny you save helps to compensate for the secret weapons for the Silent War formula that they thought would destroy your ability to be prepared in any way. Now, first of all, start shopping around and find where the best fuel prices are. And you do need to put some fuel on the shelf and fill up whatever cans you can. Stabilize them, whatever you're going to do. Also rotate. Don't think about just leaving the stuff there or leave out there for years. Not that I think we'll be leaving it there for years anyway. That's not going to happen. But still, rotate inventory. If you're not going to use a stable program or with any kind of additives, that's fine. But if that's the case, then rotate, but keep everything topped off. Where's the best place to store the fuel for your vehicles? First place is in your vehicle. Okay, it's kind of like where do you store water? In your body. Prehydrate, we've talked about that forever. Prehydrate, prehydrate, prehydrate. You keep your vehicles topped off constantly. Make sure everything is squared away there. Another thing, check your spares. If you don't have your spare squared away, you need to get that done ASAP, like now. Doesn't have to be a great tire, but it has to be something that's going to be able to go down the road the same as the other three that are still functional. And ideally, you need more than one spare anyway. So be prepared for that. And don't throw away any of the old tires. You get a tire change, take those tires, wrap them up in newspaper, put them up in the garage or put them in the back of the garage, make a table out of them. Put it over in the corner, put a piece of wood on it. Use the inside for storage with four tires stacked up. Put a piece of plywood on the top, use it for a little workbench. or just a stack more stuff on but hang on to the tires because those are a commodity in fact i'll take a couple of things we have always talked about two things you're going to be craving real quick chocolate would be a good idea to put whatever you can but hard to store but uh... cocoa powder is nancy brought up the other day and also coffee simply because you won't be getting anymore and right now there's a surf yet that there's a few of the public there's a lot of it it's out there that's good take advantage of that. Okay? And put some on the shelf. Also again, oh I don't drink coffee. Yeah but other people you know do, do you like your friends? You want to make them a little more, you know let's say less headache, you're going to have to bring them down off of their addiction. I mean everybody has their things. Sugar, coffee, tea, candy, cocoa, take your pick. And cocoa is in chocolate? Oh, I love my chocolate. I cannot live without the chocolate. Yeah, I know, but we're going to have to ratchet off a bit, Bob. Okay? Same is true with coffee. I'll tell you what, again, remember, it's money. That dollar's worth of coffee you buy at the Dollar Tree that's in the one little single foil pack, a retort pouch. That's a uniform piece of currency that everybody can understand, and it's obvious whether or not it's been tampered with. So as long as it's sealed and it's there, I don't care if it's that French, the hazelnut or the regular coffee, that's a piece of currency just like a dollar bill or a $10 bill or a piece of silver. Because everybody, everybody can market coffee. And sugar is gonna be the same boat. You're gonna be, you know, sweeteners will vary, but we're gonna become a very unsweet, addicted population, but before that happens, there's gonna be a lot of people coming down off that one too. coffee, sugar, basically what we told you about with the whole process of the research that was done in the 60s.
