Summary
Mark Koernke discussed preparedness, tactical equipment, and militia-related topics on the evening of August 5, 2021. He provided detailed product recommendations from military surplus vendors, including Italian PASGAT Kevlar helmets ($55 at majorsurplus.com), gas masks, and Vegetato camouflage uniforms. Callers asked about helmet comparisons, electrical work for property development, and equipment sourcing. Koernke emphasized improvisation, cost-effective procurement strategies, and creative approaches to building supplies and equipment for preparedness. He also discussed the importance of verifying equipment quality through proper inspection methods rather than relying on YouTube reviews.

His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood here by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat and speaking low to me, he said. We fought a revolution to liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate and your Christian values can't be taught. According to the state. deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children will be here to send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for what you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear, be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God-given right, and pray to God, as Iowoki vanished in the mist from whence he came. His words were true. We are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now his tyrants trampled each God-given right. We only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Is this still the land of the free? Remember your training and you will come back alive. Good. Evening, ladies and gentlemen, this is the evening intelligence report I mark currently. One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines in occupied territories, southwest, north, northeast, and south. Ladies and gentlemen, you were listening to us on... LibertyTreeRadio.4mg.com Liberty Tree Radio on satellite and we're on AM&FM micro stations, AM&FM conventional stations, CB Bay stations and UltraNet. Hallmark and Golden Spike technologies east and west of the Mississippi along with Alaska. It is a beautiful, beautiful Thursday evening. We've got medium cloud cover. Temperatures have been warm. Of course, it's been muggy because we've had what look like rain clouds on and off all day, intermittent, about 50-50. And that, of course, created the illusion you're going to get rained on any minute. So if you actually planned around safe not doing anything because of the rain, you made a big mistake because it didn't rain. Guess what? It's just like last year, we had the same kind of stuff going on, classic Michigan weather. Anyway, it is Thursday, as I mentioned. It is the 5th of August already. It is the 13th year of open Fabian Socialist and Soviet Socialist occupation of America with a K 2021 old earth calendar. 2021, battle for the republic. but dense of swords. And again, we have torpedoes in the water. In other words, packages out. So pay attention to your mailboxes. If you've been watching and waiting, well, again, any time now. So as soon as it shows up, none of the boxes are super big, but big enough they might not fit in just a regular box. If you have a PO box, they'll probably have a slip for you or they'll give you a key. You go over to a bigger box and there's your goodies. So congratulations. Anyway, like I said, really beautiful weather that we've had. Blackberries are in mega production. The apples are looking really good. I haven't even mentioned apple production here in Michigan. It's been phenomenal this year. It's going to continue. And again, it's been perfectly balanced. We have just enough heat, just enough cool, lots of moisture on and off. And so all the pit fruits are looking really good. We had some really great white peaches. with the local crops here. And I mean perfect. I mean just as absolutely perfect you could ask for. But in addition to that we've got the elderberries coming up and those are big medicinal. We just picked up another food dryer. I've got three of them and we'll be drying pretty much all of the elderberries this year that we can get our hands on. and those will be in reserve for what's coming. And of course, we have friends and allies that we trade, so everybody's happy. We take the time, do the dried elderberries, and then do elderberry tea or whatever they want to or a tincter, whatever the formula calls for. Other than that, well, hang on to your potatoes, Dr. Jones, because the roller coaster is in motion. Of course, we had the announcements here in the last, well, I mean, conflict, you know. What the hell are they anyway? You know if it's the petal meat, you know a sniffer meat puppet You really can't be sure which direction he was going in to begin with you know, he she it whatever it is and You'll never get the answer to a question that was asked But you'll probably get an answer to something that he wasn't supposed to say Which is kind of cool because it gives you more of the agenda through, you know, the stupid level. And that's not going to stop. I think they like that. It's part of the stupidity of America and the fact that we're letting a bunch of nincompoops, idiots, and confidence and wicked turds behind the scenes do what they're doing. They should be out of there. They should be gone. They should be arrested. But yeah, who's going to do that? So anyway, that's kind of like the Hillary thing any minute now Hillary's gonna be any minute Well, we're now into the seventh month way past that and I haven't heard any great announcements about any minute Hillary blah blah blah Okay, she probably died before we have to worry about well, it won't worry, but before we see an end result So well, wait, don't hold your breath you'd be the first to die anyway with regard to The latest series of announcements one of the discussions we had during to our block is that we're gonna make it mandatory for everybody the corona beer virus, you know death murder kill Slash extermination shot and it's like well that ain't happening But I'm sure that it's it's in their wet dreams of course, they can keep pumping it up, but we'll also keep beating them down and At some point that will just as likely as not be one of the many things that that gets the ball rolling towards cleaning the country out and having an American war for independence, which is what we need. It's that simple. Ordnance, material, and equipment, I got to touch on this, over at majorsurplus.com. Actually, the best deal right now around the country, they have the SEP2 slash Italian Kevlar helmets. over at major surplus dot com. Major surplus. Now these are new as opposed to the others that most everybody else is carrying for the moment that seem to be a little tougher on the mileage. They are in excellent or very good excellent condition. And a couple of people picked them up already and are comparing notes. They basically are the same helmet we've been seeing before. But for $55 a piece for the moment now that price may not last. But for the time being over at www.majorsurplus.com, look up Italian Kevlar helmet. There's only one that's going to pop up and the price is $55. It's $54.95. I'll just throw the nickel in there. $55. It's the best price in the country for a Kevlar helmet. And again, I know the bump helmets that we were talking about before are also a solution. All of them work. And do we have a caller? Yeah, Mark. The Italian helmet you're talking about, how does it compare to like the Pazgat and the other Kevlars? I would say as far as I know with looking at the information on the SEP2s is that it was based basically if it wasn't directly and parallel to the production of the Pazgat, you know, the original Fritz helmets that we had it was pretty close as part of the NATO standard program because the Germans came out with theirs about the same time Now at that point the Italians the French and the Germans actually were in a coalition for armaments production They kind of fell through on it, but they did get together on body armor Which is why you see this flurry of that generation or era of body armor coming out in terms of carriers and you know helmets, things of that nature. So it should be comparable. I don't see that it would be that much lower in grade unless they decided that they would rate it as say a level 3 helmet, which I still wouldn't have a problem with. If it's a level 3 slash handles most pistol, stops some rifle, most rifle won't. It's a fragmentation helmet anyway, no matter how we look at it. It's really what we're pushing it for. But as far as the basic design, it's got a little more of a roll curve to the side of the, to the side shields. Not major, but all the standard US helmet covers fit. All of the NATO, like even the Austrian French helmet, Kevlar helmet covers fit. So the basic design is conforming to the, let's say 96, 98% of the original specs for the PESGAT. Now thickness wise it appears so far as everyone we've seen has been the same As far as weight goes I haven't had a chance to really put them on a scale Because you know you have to make sure we scale it against a if we got a large we got to make sure it's up against a large You know if it's a medium we got a pulse, you know pull it up against a medium because there are different sizes That's the only thing in this case. You're saying one size fits most which means probably medium large is what those are, the ones that are coming out. So that would work. Again, for the time being, it's available, but that's not its regular price. It's just they've got it on sale for 55. So for as long as it lasts, last month's gone, you know, the sale's done. Go ahead. Yeah, what you're saying also too, it's already even though it doesn't have a helmet cover You're saying it has all of the the webbing and and and patting on the inside. So that's a big oh, yeah Yeah, it's great. It's brand new that that's what they're saying. I actually you know, I asked my say Well, they're like brand new in the box dusty Again, they don't, doesn't come with a helmet cover, but I wouldn't spend a big chunk of change. Right now they want stupid prices for helmet covers. You're better off going to like a, a, a millinery store and seeing what they have in the way of camel and making a cover yourself. Or you could go to, uh, uh, well, actually you could buy, if you want to make a vegetado, uh, helmet cover, what I, you know, one of the ways you could do it, it's a waste of a shirt or a pant. But you could take and buy a $15 you know you know how many uniforms you want from the same place major Surplus and then take a shirt and cut out a Pascat helmet cover that would match you still have the pants in the end the and the hat and be ahead and have spare cloth but Otherwise you use a couple other different camouflage covers or we're not covers, but There's a couple other camo pattern items like over at Coleman. That's something that Dar mentioned. They've got the for $1.25, they got the DCU backpack covers. That's a lot of material for whatever you want to make it into and you could take that and still even redye it to match up with the color range for the Vegetado if that's what you wanted to do because you can everything's available for it. It's just some of the stuff is so expensive They want like $20 for a helmet cover in vegetado. Well, I know in hell I can buy a whole uniform for $15 and like I said, I get enough material to make a helmet cover and still have spare uniform items So that's why you have to think these things through it if you do pick a certain pattern In some cases with certain items you may want to improvise, adapt, and overcome simply because the price is outrageous. You might pay for one item but you paid for all the rest of the gear that you save money on. You don't want to do that. Common sense. We always have to think pennies on this one and in for the pound there as far as solutions. Real quick, marine digital isn't far off but it does have more of a rusty brown in it. But it would work. It's kind of, again, in the same general range. So if you got a Marpat helmet cover, the problem is that right now, those are stupid priced. They want $20 for one of those. For some reason, the Marpat stuff has jumped in cost. So... I'm not excited about that. Okay. If you shop around, you probably can find a helmet cover of whatever pattern that would go on the standard Pazcat, which means it worked on the Step 21 Italian helmets without any problem. Which is the, you know, that's the way to go. Kevlar, if it's a Kevlar Pazcat helmet cover in Woodland, five color chocolate chip, DCU, which is three color desert, it'll fit on the Italian helmets, the German helmets, and the French version too. Along with the Austrian I keep mentioning it, but I haven't seen any of the Austrian and Kevlar recently again And I don't know that we'll see it because they don't just dump stuff so Right now they probably are still using pretty much all of it in their service. I heard another voice call it call or jump in there Yeah, Bart. First of all you get this it's BS at that they can pop your skull crap What's your any whatever and if somebody could helmet they could see you and whatever you're wearing at that point is moot. That's my opinion. It's my two set. Somebody said they have a thousand yards, move. Movement. Yeah. As a matter of fact, like I said, if you look around, somebody has something on sale somewhere. Uh, as a matter of fact, I think military uniforms, military clothing, military clothing.com, check them out and punch in helmet covers. And I think they've got a Coyote Brown Pascat cover for a dollar right now. Now it's just one color, but it's mute. And you know what? Break out the writ, die, or do whatever you want to do to match it up so it's basically in the same range as your regular uniform, whatever else you're using, if you're trying to match it up for pattern. Break out this Sharpie and be creative. That's what that's what I do. Remember the I will point out we got the Two pocket Italian mag pouches the other day guys those are brand new they're virgin they are excellent They will any any of you have big staggered magazines. They'll drop right in And they're brand new but what I did is I took gray soft flat gray and dusted the white a little bit. And then I took a sharpie, a wide sharpie, one of those that's got the chisel angle on it, and randomly I did liking bolt kind of like lines, like branches. Then take a brown sharpie and just add a little bit of color parallel to the black lines, only on the same side. And it creates that tree, like tree stick effect. Now you throw that on with the rest of your snow camo and all the rest of your tactical gear that you've already got kitted out like that. Looks great. And again, it cost $1.70 per double mag pouch. They're brand new, unissued. You can leave them white. You just want to go snow camo white. If you want to go into color, well, break out the favorite colors that you want to use. And that's what Krylon Ultra Flat Camo paints for. Works just fine. Hey, Mark. So we can get it done. It just takes a little bit of effort. Go ahead, call or jump in there. Yeah, I've potentially got better news than I had yesterday. The reason overstocked guys only had a couple of pallets for sale is they've primarily switched to selling truckloads of stuff as in semi-trucks. And this is not the stuff that everyone's been rummaging through for a week. He said he can pretty much send you a truck of anything you want for Typically, $10,000 to $30,000. I don't know how good of a deal that is, but I figured I'd relay it on to you. Very good. Appreciate that. Well, again, if he's a freight surplus, it can be anything. I know one of the guys bought and picked up an entire trailer like that with 50% Dewalt battery-powered tools. You know, I'm probably returns or whatever, but... He actually filled up a whole aisle with DeWalt tools. Of course, they're all gone already too because he was able to sell them for a hell of a price. So you never know what you're going to run into with something like that. And obviously he's constantly... Go ahead. I should mention, they require that you have a dock to unload the truck and he also said that the require you have an LLC. Oh, okay. You mean for the truckloads? You mean I have to be a limited liability corporation? Yes. Right. I have to be Vladimir Vistaskyi Munozetim LLC. Can you spell that? No, not really. More consonants than vowels. It's okay. Let me go slow for you. No problem. See, that's how you do that. Remember, become Romanian real fast. I throw up more consonants than vowels in every word and every name. So... What it sounds like how it's spelled two different worlds that keeps everybody confused Kind of like my name k o e r n ke I would point out guys not many different ways that's been spelled It's comical just watching how the idiots stick both in the government in forms and What we've seen in the newspaper with regard to failure to actually spell the name, right? So I don't have to worry too much always joked about that. It's like well hell half time They couldn't find me anyway. I'll choose you spell my name the way I normally would and every variation you can imagine has shown up in print or I've seen it in reports. Now mind you, I mean... I got my last name too. Who was that? Go ahead, repeat. Who was that? So that's happened in my last name too. I've seen it in... Oh, yeah, 12. And there are many names... I've seen A and I've seen different O and I've seen different... It's spelled different ways. Exactly. So again... This is when you're doing an LLC, Limited Liability Corporation, you can be creative. There's no reason not to be. And in the process, that just makes it more confusing for the other people who might be snooping when the time comes. They'll still get one key wrong, and that's all it takes to totally confuse the system. So, remember, be creative whenever possible, and still follow through on the process if necessary. and a limited liability corporation. By the way, one of the tricks that works really well, go find a street person. If you think I'm joking about this, understand that this is what a lot of people have been doing. Go find a street person, get him a nice little small apartment or house somewhere that's cheapest or before he had nothing. Make sure he's got food. If he wants to have beer, fine. If he wants to have, you know, hard liquor, fine. Get him to sign off on everything. He becomes the director of the Limited Liability Corporation. And then you immediately, of course, transfer, you know, authority power of attorney as executor to, well, goes to whoever else you want to. And anytime anything needs to be signed off, it goes to Bob Schmecklebich. And Bob is, you know, having a great time eating. He's got a house over his head, doesn't have to do anything. He wants to go somewhere, you drive him. When the time comes, you just walk away. He can keep what he's got, hold on to it as long as he can. And if somebody's looking for somebody, then eventually he probably will go back to his street person ways and nobody to be found. It's amazing how firearms are registered that way and weapon systems, equipment, here, Limited Liability Corporation, Bob Schmidt Lab. We haven't been able to find Bob. We didn't have to hurt him. Bob just went off to do his own thing. Back off to the hoboing and the rest is history. Remember, be creative. It costs very little to keep somebody happy in food and perhaps, you know, rituals and wine. And then when everything's done, you give them a, you know, severance, you know, check, so to speak, and you're all happy. Everybody smiles, waves, and as they said in dances with wolves, good trade. Works pretty well. Caller anything else? Just to make sure we didn't leave anybody out there. Do we have any other callers that won't leave anybody that way either? Hey Mark, I do. I need to know. Do you know any electricians? I need help some stuff. I got the message on that. I've been asking around. The problem is they also have to be at your end of the state too. I've been asking around I mean, of course We have one other person up your way that we might be able to ask and he might know somebody that would be useful It's friendly. Yeah, someone that won't charge me an arm and a leg and we Okay, actually show my brother and I how you do it. So we won't need a electrician next time Exactly. Yeah Yeah, cuz we're building a whole new place up here because we got property and stuff. So just electricity and stuff on it Anything on the YouTube for him? Well again, are you... Uh oh, do we have a third voice before I go any further? Yes. Sorry to interrupt, I just said, what about YouTube? Oh, it'd be creative and use it. Not for this, because the inspector's the real... Right, you need someone for primary power for hookup that you can get an attaboy on. Yeah. Right, that's one of the... Yeah, it's gotta be... Well then you need a certified electrician just for one event. After that, you can get the rest yourself. If you have any idea what to do. I just need one. That's all I really need. You need to get it to the box. That's what it comes down to, right? Yes. We need to get the power to the box. After that, we'll get the rest is creative wiring. Well, we need to get the box to set in and all that. But other than that, we can do everything else. After the electrician does this thing, we can do everything else. We just need someone who can do that stuff. Well, we might have a friendly mercenary slash Industrial electrician who's right now not as busy. I just talked to it. So Just a little bit ago. So I have to find out. Yeah, we're willing to help and learn to that way You know when if we ever need to do it again, we can do it Yeah, it'll be okay Can you get any more cases of the applesauce? I probably could Well, why don't you start piling that up and that would be the payment? I probably could do it. You know, sugar will attract flies as they say, but in this case it might attract an electrician. Yeah, or if he doesn't want applesauce I could find something else for him. Well, see, again, if it's something that's freebie like that, you can get any more freebie items, anything of that, you should be grabbing it now, especially the way things are going. And we got plenty of wood here if he wants wood too. Well, he's got acreage, so I think he's good on that for the moment. But again, we'll talk to him. Let me see what I can do. Hey, Mark. Number four. Go ahead, Mark. Number four, jump in there, please. Yes, also if you can, check out the vocational schools nearby. See if anybody's graduated from the end of those classes. Maybe a young electrician. And then with your applesauce, if you could turn that into alcohol, I'd even attract more flies. So yeah, just squeeze it all into the right big big copper barrel and with a little copper wire Copper tube and some heat and a little bit of throw raccoon in there. They'll actually help it to cure faster You know that hard cider. Yeah on the Italian helmet I bought one and then I went on to YouTube and I got disappointed seeing the 22s long rifles is it been right throw them Well, beware on most of the YouTube videos because I've been watching a bunch of them and here's the problem. A lot of times there's no chain of custody so to speak in the image and I've had several times where you know I've got a pretty good eye for equipment. Example, remember the ballistic helmet club or ballistic yeah ballistic club or whatever it was. I saw several videos that were done and they were basically, you know, trying to attack the idea of Chinese mate. I've already got one. But they're not cheap like they were. In fact, here's what's cute. When they, when we got them cheap, when they were under $100, I picked one up and I wanted a sample of it because I want to find out. It's a level three helmet. It is a minimal in what I said before about all the Chinese equipment. They absolutely, they, they, they, They literally stretch every thread as far as they can. In this case, it is level three and that's it. With American Armor, they have an overage, you know, a percentage of over protection. And that's to kind of fudge it so that, you know, it's like Scotty used to say, well, how else would you know that I will, you know, think that I was a miracle worker. You know, where he always, you know, quantifies the numbers, you know, to change it so that he looks good. The same is true with regard to the way American armor is built, or at least most of it, because there's a margin of safety that's incorporated by adding more material. Chinese don't do that. If it's level 3, it's level 3. If it says it's stab armor, it's stab armor. Don't expect any more from it. The weight's correct, the density of the armor is correct for level 3A. on that Chinese stuff, but now they want $180 for the helmet. You know, that one window when they first brought them, when they were first offering them, is gone. The same offers no longer on the table. In this case, with the SEP-2 helmets, again, the only thing I might be able to do is, if we really, really, really want to argue about this one, I might be willing to take a bandsaw to it, and I'll just cut the sucker in half. That's the first thing I do when I want to when we do an autopsy. What's the DOD does? When they were testing helmets made by a manufacturer and they do a subcontract, the inspector comes in grabs helmet first thing he does cuts it in half. Then what they do is they count the number of layers to make sure that the number of layers were compressed properly and they are there. Number two, they have an impact driver, basically like a cattle killer. and it is pneumatic, you hook it up to the air and it's designed to simulate 9mm, they got 1 for 9, 1 for 45, 1 for 7.62x39 and 1 for 2.23 and each one is of the particular diameter of the projectile and the ID behind this is by having to pull a gun out, you simply walk over, station the helmet on a semi-rigid object and then walk up, put the rod to the head, to the helmet, and look to see what it does. So beware most of the videos that we've seen that are on YouTube because in many cases what they're doing, and you'd have to give me the name of the one. In fact, do that for me. You're off the top of your head. You know what the name of any of the videos work for? Yes, I also put it in the Discord. It's ballistic test. apostrophe Italian step to Kevlar army helmet and its YouTube channel is Mike B and they look like they're a wholesaler importer verse a military surplus and collectibles is a web address is Mike's Militaria.com but the YouTube channel again or repeat is Mike capital B channel and ballistic test, Italian step 2 calvoir helmet. And it says, you'll actually be quite surprising results if you consider supporting this channel. Anyhow. He tests a lot of other helmets in this series and when he got to that I was quite disappointed. The other thing is, as military clothing I was trying to look up and see what the designation of those gas masks at major surplus at military clothing in the close-ups. You might want to check there because I saw some five dollar pants and stuff, but they aren't for large people. They're for medium to small. And they have the five pairs of clear lenses for the SCHM-41 gas mask, new unissued surplus, and they're a little ten for ninety-nine cents. Yeah, those are actually way to use those is to use them as an out shirt right? Oh, and you don't you have the you have no place you can If you want to put a second set of lenses in Instead of the over boot like they have on most of the other military because that is a recessed Lens the way that it's built into the body the you can actually slide a set of those over the originals and Use those like an out shirt if you want that's one of the other techniques or tricks for using them That's where they have, if you got over there to the page, they have the, for a dollar and two dollars, they have helmet coverage. Or the mish and for the pascat. Real quick, let's go back to the other helmet thing here. When you watch these videos, one of the things like I said, lack of chain of custody. They don't unbox it from where it came from. They don't show you, you know, what is this? One of the other things that we have to watch out, and most of them should know about this by now, is that the, just like the Brits, the Brits made both a PazGAT and they made a Mark VI standard plastic bump helmet. It looks exactly the same, except that typically the finish was not the same. It has a gloss or semi-gloss satin finish to it. that obviously is indicative of say, you know, football helmet molding, okay? But what you really have to watch is the internal suspension system because in several instances that I've watched in these videos, the mistake they made, they try not to show the inside always. But if you pay attention, the bump helmets, the China Sport bump helmets, which I was buying as little as $3 apiece from the wholesalers when the Chinese were, you know, reasonable. Today that same bump helmet, the Chinese versions, are running around $15-$25 a piece. That's typically what somebody grabs for the, this helmet doesn't work video. And so you've got to be aware, you've got to watch that. I'm not saying that is the case with this yet because there are training and there are standard Kevlar helmets made by pretty much all the European countries. An example of that is you can go over to, and they are a good buy, I've actually mentioned before, colemans.com. They don't have many helmets right now. They do have the Hungarians, which are good steel helmets. But they have the British black Pascat training helmet. Now, it's a bunk helmet, and by the way, I've had a chance to handle those too. It's a little better grade with regard to the material, whatever chip they used for the plastic. but they have an exceptional helmet rig internally for adjustment. They're actually one of the most comfortable of all of the cheapy bump helmets you could buy and it's not even, well, it's mid-price. They're down to as little as $12.95 a piece. Now, when I look at these helmets when they shoot them, typically, it's like when they were dragging on the one that was supposed to be the Chinese helmet. Well, the giveaway is when they flipped it and they're showing it, see, it went right through! Well, the problem is the suspension system doesn't match. And again, it was indicative of the typical cheaper, standard, not expected to stop any bullet helmet system that we run into time and again. So as far as now, as far as these go, we'll find out more. But as far as I know, and I talked to the guys, they said, well, this is a contract Pascat helmet. Here's how it's made. This is what it is. And the only difference is that again, Mars, or not Marspec, forgive me, major surplus, Marspec's not even in business, you could even buy from them right now. Major surplus brings most of that stock in right off the west coast, right off the docks. Whereas most of the other inventory is bought from the circulation system out of either the east coast out of Virginia, or out of Georgia and or the Gulf Coast. So the unique thing is that like the Western over the Rockies companies get a unique batch of inventory that in many cases the rest of the country doesn't necessarily see. Swiss Surplus is good for that. They do get interesting things once in a while that nobody else carries and they're located you remember up in the fire zone in California. Pretty good company to deal with, but prices like with everybody else have gone up. So we'll let, well, I'll look at these because I've already got a quantity there on the way again. And like I said, we'll weigh them. I may or may not cut them. If I feel confident that they're meeting spec with regard to the information that I can glean from them, I'm not going to waste one. But if we have a real question about them, especially since weight is the first giveaway, Cast helmets are consistently the same density from crust to core. With PASGAT or with any kind of Kevlar helmets, remember guys, those are compressed under pressure and what they do is evacuate all air and all volume option with regard to the fiber and it has the same protective potential but within a much smaller space. They also do add an additional polymer for bonding, but all that is is the same base material that's used to actually make the Kevlar weave in the first place. So that would be the only chain. So I appreciate the input because you know again, we'll find out, but as far as I know, the Italians should match up, should match up to the German and the German ones, we haven't seen those in quite some time, they kind of pittered out. About three years ago. I haven't really seen any examples I think maybe sportsman's guide was the last ones and they had a reasonable price on those but They were comparable in construction. The only difference is webbing from country to country depending upon Post philosophies about how you know, the helmet system should work and be adjusted. So Appreciate that anything else ship in there, please. Oh, okay. Very good And it is 8.42. We still got a little bit of time left here. Oh, let's see. In addition, we have the helmets. And we might as well go through the short list again here real quick. They have at the same place where they have the step two helmets at majorsurplus.com. They have the round eye, actually those lenses that were mentioned a minute ago, the mask that actually takes those or that they can be used on. is available right now, masks only, 10 of them, for $25. So if you're looking for a spare or you're looking for auxiliary masks, this is a way to very quickly fill in the gap. And as an insurance policy, you've got a whole pile of masks all at once. However, these do not have great IR protection. So if you ever saw how these things came bulk, they actually have a black felt paper inside the box that these things are stored in. It's a large crate. Usually there's 40 or 60 masks to a crate. Some are of other count. It's arbitrary. I don't know why, what the idea was when the government and the overseas put them together, but you had filters, you had the masks, and usually the bags were right there with them too. If they have the standard short 40 millimeter filter, Obviously, it could fit more into the crate, but if you have the hose and the large tank filter, needless to say, that's probably where the smaller number is going to fit into the same size case. Because they use the same consistent wooden crate for storage and transportation of these. Very good buy, I recommend them. I actually carry one of those as my second mask in my backpack. with another filter. If I don't use the mask, I have another filter to use with my standard combat mask in the 40 millimeter rate. So you've got those masks, that's 10 for $25. You've got the Sep 2 slash the Italian Kevlar helmets for $55. And you have the Vegetato Italian uniforms, hat, shirt, pants, size large only, size large only for $15. But definitely it's worth every penny for $15. You can't buy pants for that. You can't even come close. So you've got pants, shirt, and a patrol hat. That's all at major surplus. And if you have other items there, check it out. See what's available. And what floats your boat is of interest. Now, Other vegetato items they have over at SportsmansGuide.com SportsmansGuide.com SportsmansGuide.com Get over there, punch in the surplus Italian gear or Italian surplus. Either way you're going to end up with a list of the Italian items. they're all posted by page. They have the vegetato elbow pads, supposed to be Italian military issue, for 15, I think it's 1565 for two pairs brand new. And they are in the vegetato camouflage. Excuse me. And so there's one item, solution. You're almost going full vegetato this way. But another thing that they do have they've been carrying are the miltech vest or the 12 I think 12 pocket vest Now do not be discouraged when you pull this up if you pull up mmm surplus military vest The miltech 12 pocket vest shows up for $65 in one of the first listing That's not the one you're looking you're supposed to look to be looking for even though it's the exact same vest that I'm referencing. There was a second listing, which by the way also lists the other items that you will find probably first, except that the image that's shown is the vegetato standard tactical pattern and it's in this particular MilTech 12 pocket system. It's $35 for the vest. Now the difference between this and others that are newer, this is a fixed system. Wherever the pockets and pouches are, they stay. It's a sewn stitch system, but they do work. They are actually pretty decent. They work well enough. You still have to tape up all those straps. Go take a look at the picture. You'll see that that is a mission because this particular system is totally adjustable and there are all there are multiple number of support suspension straps around the back fixture of the vest. So take a look at it. Pictures are there to be seen on the page. So you can get the vegetato elbow pads there, you can get the vegetato tactical vest. and it's reasonably priced, it's not outrageous. So you can be full vegetato. Now, one of the other reasons I've been talking about this pattern a little more is, I don't know how many of you remember, but I've pointed you towards something that's being done by a lot of the militia units right now. And it's why ACU has kind of stabilized in price. For a little while there, ACU was a drug on the market, it was pennies. They were virtually giving the stuff away. Well, you'll notice that that's changed. One of the reasons is that a lot of the different militia units to make their own militia pattern have taken the ACU Army Standard Gray and Sage and they have redied it into a green range camouflage. Now there's all kinds of videos on YouTube about this. If you look, the vegetado uniform would work quite well with this other pattern that was created. It actually is pretty close. So, what a lot of the units are doing is they're making their own with the ACU, but wherever they can supplement with an actual or existing pattern like this, they're able to put more into service, stack more, stack and rack more of them that way. So, that's why the ACU has stabilized price-wise, and it's pretty well sticking to where it is, and the vegetato in and of itself has actually gone kind of pricey. Except over at Major Surplus, which I mentioned a minute ago. That is where it's reasonably priced, inexpensive, you know, serviceable enough. Otherwise, if you look around the system, you will find other vegetato items. Somebody asked here about ponchos. I think they actually did have them. MilTech at one time was making them. And they're a standard copy of the, you know, MilTech makes standard copies of most of the American equipment. And they were making Flecktarn, Vegitato, BGS, Border Guard, Bundeskrenderschutz Border Guard, several other patterns. But I don't know if those are still available and if they are, usually because they may be out of production, everybody then thinks they need to be made, you know, the price needs to be unobtainium. And for that reason, again, I don't point anybody towards it, but that's what we see. So there's other items out there that will work. Don't forget that Turkish set, if they ever come back into stock, we may not see those again, but the snow camo pattern on one side, mid-gray-green field pattern on the other, very good camouflage, completely reversible for the season. That's good enough for rain gear for a lot of the work you're doing and again We're more concerned with the idea that we get it to work, right? Then whether or not we are fashionable. Okay, so I mean where it looks cool in the office, but well it just this not matching That's not how it works. Remember. We don't have a table of authorized equipment We work with what we can find that works best and then we integrate it accordingly into the system when the time comes So okay, somebody else here hold that one or Oh, okay. Well, yeah, they're good questions. There was a company, there were a couple of people bringing in the, what basically is the field parka, not the field jacket in vegetato. I don't know if it's available. Typically middle price on those was about $35. It's a field jacket. So it actually is supposed to accept the liner or if it's the parka, it accepts the liner. Has a hood. Okay. So it actually is a coat, not just a blouse. Now if you have to cheat and eventually say the this maybe these uniforms loosened up as far as availability Remember you can take an extra extra large and use it as a field jacket You blouse it in you put a belly blouse and a belly blousing strap in So you can tie it in just like that an m65 You take tactical buttons and sew in buttons where they need to be for the field jacket liner and find yourself a field jacket liner and double plus good thumbs up you got yourself a field jacket. So that's another solution. Just another way to do it. Go two sizes up and put all your blousing points on the uniform. Example you need a elasticized blousing point for the base of the shirt. You're gonna go oversized. You need a waist cinch blousing band to the waist height. a little bit below the front chest pockets. It's not hard to do. We used to do it all the time just so we could get enough of what we needed in the right color pattern for the work we were doing. Again, it's if the stuff is available. Shirts are available. Pants are not. Not for any reasonable price. Oh yeah, you can buy pants. But you're looking at, look at the prices. I don't have to tell you. They're ridiculous. So again, as a sidebar, Rather than waste or wear out your vegetato camouflage or whatever other camels you got, go to the resale store and pick up OD Green. You can get OD Green six pocket pants all day that are dockers or whatever for a pretty good price. Cheap, sometimes free almost. You can get blouses the same way and that's what you use for your training uniform. You're building all the rest of this stuff up so that your tactical combat uniforms are at zero hour. In other words, they don't need to have any mileage on. I'll check them, make sure everything's where it's supposed to be, make sure everything zips, buttons, does whatever. Adjust it to fit you if there's any adjustment needs. Then roll it all back up, put it all away, use the used equipment you're getting, especially in the clothing. A lot of guys use Dickies, they're using Dockers, you've got Carhartts, Take a Pick, whatever you can run into. I just got a Carhartt field jacket today for $1 at one of the sales and a whole pile of camouflage for free just about as far as, you know, real free. So it's out there. You look around, you can find it. Use that, wear that out, save your best deck for when it's best needed. It's that simple. Anyway, the question again, well, yes, we're right at the top. We'll find out more about the stepped helmets that are coming in from this other source. And again, I want to say thank you because it can't be everywhere all at once. So if there's something else out there, I have some homework to do. I want to see what they posted on that. We're going to go to the page and the channels that were mentioned. And again, I've always watched detail because some people, and this is what's sad, Some people are scurrilous because they either have something on somebody else in the business or they have a personal preference for material and so unfortunately what will happen is you see things take place that shouldn't with regard to marketing evaluation, technology evaluation. It's just it's politicized. So that's the only way to describe it. So again, Compare notes, see what else might be out there that was done by other people, see if they're consistent. And I understand the other half of what some people do is pirate. We know that with regard to somebody doing a video. They'll slide a video over into marketing on their side. By the way, Ballistic Helmet did do that. We know that. I'm pretty sure. Although again, that's the problem with the 21st century mish-mish of communications and the internet. which came first, the chicken or the egg, as they say. So, you know, we don't know for, we'll never know for sure the timeline on certain things, and it's moved to argue part of it. The important thing, like I said, first thing you look at are the physical details that were offered by the process that was filmed. And then you can pick it apart piece by piece and make a determination there. But still, proof in the pudding, best way, physically have them in hand. So, we're going to do what I can from this end and we'll see what we can do to, you know, we'll negate hopefully any fears, but again, just in case, we'll, like I said, I've got more than a few that are going to be in hand here at the latest wave. All of the others we've had in the past match all of the other contracts we've seen. Just as a heads up, I have probably a couple hundred of the German PASGAP helmets. I think I've got maybe 60 or 80 of the French and only a handful of the Austrian. They blocked up on those almost as quick as they sold them, but I have a pile of the helmet covers. Now, each of these look to me as if they were probably done with the same contractor, base contractor, and the only variation is, like I said, the schism of whatever country's traditional idea of how helmet baskets and fixtures should work. And it may also be that they just bought into something that was marketed to them because some guy was a better salesman than the other. That happens as often as not anyway. So again, appreciate the input. We are at the top for everybody out there. Guys also stay focused on the mission. If you got something that needs to be, you know, dotting all the I's crossing all the T's, finish what you've got to finish. If you don't have your blowout kits, improvise. But get something put together and add it in your contact ring, backup, or whatever else you're doing. Anything is better than nothing medical supplies. That's simple. You can improvise for the moment and work on it later. You'll build it up later. God bless our public. the new world order we shall prevail ladies and gentlemen the in-person on the run we're in the march we're gonna get on the way for now and taking over more LTR coming up tomorrow Friday for the in-cell report god bless
