Well, we don't need to worry about that if we take advantage of the tools that are available and in the toolbox. So you seriously need sutures, staples. Do you know how to do a butterfly? I've mentioned this before. You know, how you can improvise one in the field that holds just as well as any of the medical tape, and I could do it by just getting into a, for instance, a shaving kit. Give me a few moments of the shaving kit and I'll figure out what I can use so I can tape your hind end together and hold just as well as medical tape you'd buy off the counter. And it all be from containers that are in the kit. So just a heads up, we don't need to improvise, but if we have to, we're going to have to be ready to do that too because eventually your supplies are going to run low. We need to get the tools where they need to be now. Also, because of that, when you have a shop, you need a medical kit slash blowout kit right there. I've joked about this, but I've not, because for a long time, in that, again, battlefield situation, hell, just everyday life will get you. And it's true, guys, think of all the things that happen just every day that we're gonna have to deal with, and you're not gonna get any medical support from the hacks slash horror slash prostitutes in the medical industry. Now, Geltzer will oversee the National Security Council's review of policy to determine whether the government can better share information or to take other steps to mitigate the threat of domestic violent extremism. Now I will tell you a little bit more about him, what he did before coming to this rule, and then we'll talk to you about what he has said about your right to keep in your arms. So, Professor Giltzer served as the executive director of the Institute for Constitutional Advocacy and Protection at Georgetown Law. He previously held a position of senior director for counterterrorism and he was a deputy legal advisor at the National Security Council and as counsel to the assistant attorney general for national security at the U.S. Department of Justice. As this administration works, he continued, to address some of the challenges associated with the widespread availability of firearms in this country. We are doing so with the knowledge that it is a priority in and of itself. as well as one that relates to the stepped-up efforts that we are undertaking to address domestic terrorists. Geltzer has piloted the first ever national strategy for countering domestic terrorism, bringing together experts from across the government, those aren't experts, to understand the threat and plan for it. One aspect of the strategy includes reducing access to assault weapons and high-capacity magazines. and enforcing legal prohibitions that keep firearms out of dangerous hands. Asked if gun reforms were imperative to stopping domestic terrorism, Geltzer replied, I think tackling things that feed into the domestic terrorism challenge is an imperative and there are a lot of things that feed into it. Easy access to certain types of firearms feeds into it. But so does, for example, polarization fueled by disinformation. That can make recruitment into domestic terrorism causes easier and more likely. So what is he telling you? He's telling you if you just read the speak and understand the speech He's telling you that Biden is pushing for another assault weapon ban in a magazine ban and a national red flag bill That's what that all is They're saying that because you have an ar-15 Because you have a 30 round magazine that came standard with that firearm that you are a higher chance of being domestic terrorists or feeding into it. It's funny how this is an issue now and it's not really an issue. It's not. If you look at crime, you know how to decipher numbers and stuff, it's not a big issue. Although any act of terrorism period is horrible and should be dealt with, but legitimate terrorism, not just made up for our narrative. But this wasn't an issue while their friends were burning down cities. When their terrorist groups insert their name here were burning down cities and attacking people and killing them because of what they were wearing, what the hat they had, thoughts or beliefs that they held, near and dear to their heart, stuff like that. It wasn't a problem when there were cities burning, but when they need to push through this agenda that's going to lead towards socialism and disarm the popular, try to disarm the populace, you never will. But the word lately is Joe Manchin is wavering and he is up for at least a discussion of reforming the filibuster. And if that happens, then this stuff will go through. Now we do have the elections, the midterms coming through, but I just don't trust politicians. And there are a couple of good ones, but all in all, the politicians. So I needed you guys to know that this was happening to see another facet of the attack that's going on. And they're going to call all domestic terrorists if you like the rights to keep in their arms. We need to take these guns away to keep everybody safe. You were talking at the end of the first hour about medical and you also referenced it here about 15 minutes ago. Took me a minute to get in, grab a phone. Last Monday and Tuesday, we were talking about tourniquets. We buy tourniquets in volume and we can get them all the way down to $2.25 a piece. I was able to talk my better half into letting me buy a small number of those tourniquets. And I'm going to be honest with you, for the price, that's the best deal I've ever seen. Those tourniquets are about an inch and a quarter wide. They're very long, they'll easily go around a thigh. I put one of them on my thigh, I pinched it down the way they wanted it done, and I took that little bar that they've got, because it's a one-handed tourniquet, and I twisted it one turn and I was ready to release it. It'll ship things off that fast. Yeah, but that's an excellent, excellent deal. I didn't know if you had ordered any or anybody else had ordered any. I wanted to order them because I was pretty certain what I was looking at because I'd been looking at them for a couple years and just didn't have the money. But I found a smaller number. I paid, I think it was about 270 apiece for them and that was delivered. But guys, those tourniquets are worth it. And if you need a large number of tourniquets last week, we worked till Friday, or excuse me, last Monday we were talking about those tourniquets where you could buy them in quantity. And, Mark, if you can buy a tourniquet for $2.50 to as low as $2.25 a piece and buy that tourniquet put on the shelf in quantities of $50 or $200, it's worth it. Now, you also referenced an EMT iFAC pouch. You know, that's the zippered pouch. Yes. If the military pouch, and it's the one with the zipper that goes all the way around, and we talked about those, those are very expensive. But I did find one small supplier on eBay and apparently they're changing some of that around. The pouch that I found is in multicam. It is the full-sized military ISAC pouch like we think of it. It's the 6x8, you know, 6 inches by 8 inches and 4 inches in depth are thick. What they're now offering on those pouches is the pouch that I'm talking about has a tamale attachment, even has D-rings, so it's got multiple attachments, but it's got Velcro on it and it's designed where you attach it and then the pouch sticks onto the Velcro and then there's a strap that comes up through with a buckle that holds these on. Now, the purpose of that is simply snap, loosen the buckle, the strap drops, then you can pull the pouch off and lay it on the ground and open it up to use it. I actually bought a few of those because I wanted to see them. If you go to EMT, it's the Haunt VP. It's actually a brand name. You can get them as low as $8.35 a piece. if you want to buy a quantity of four or more. I think they're worth it. Now, the only, to get that lower price, you have to go with the multi-cam. But if you go to eBay and type in Hunk, VP, EMT, Icevax, a rip-off pouch, a rip pouch, it should come up. But to me, that pouch is worth it for the $8.35 when you buy a little bit more than just four or more. I looked at mine, Mark, that's actually a better pouch than the old military pouch made by Specialty Defense of the same type. It's got an additional pocket. It's even got a little flap that is zippered that flies out. So you can put little things like bandages or wound gels or something like that. As far as I can tell, it's got the same quality of zipper. It's not very compliant, but it's got the same size of zipper as the military equivalent. It's a very, very good pouch for $8.35. I personally don't think you could make it for that price. Paul, could you repeat that designation and spell it? I'm having a hard time getting a hold of it. Yeah, do this. Now when you look at the listing, as it comes up on the page on eBay, it's going to come up looking for $10.44 each. The pouch that will be shown is the multi-cam pouch. But when you go to that listing, the seller is out of California. I don't know if... What if I give out a product number or an eBay seller number, item number? Would that be okay Mark? I think that'll get you where you need to be for anybody that's trying to... That'll get you exactly where you need to be. Okay, the eBay item number is a 3934048934. And I'll repeat that. That's a very, very well made pouch. I literally bought one to see how hard it would be to duplicate it. And that thing is fancy enough. I don't want, you couldn't duplicate it for $8. There's too much there. It's way too much there. But there are other pouches available. There are other pouches that are, I mean, they look similar. They're the same size, but they're anywhere from $2 to $5 more money. But to me, this is the bargain. uh... but i wanted to bring that up they for people for those tourniquets and i wanted to bring the update mark for these uh... pouches anybody that would be interested okay very good actually looking at one of the others uh... like now which they're in the multi cam yeah yeah i know you have to go to that one feller to get the price everybody else is higher yeah what what for anybody else is what are you the multi-cam looking take a look at this millions of pictures of out there it'll blend in well enough with woodland or anything else it really does make any difference for what it's doing are remember you're gonna mess it up anyway people if it once you use it it's going to get the worst color on it you get madriff if you had to use it there's probably a reason So that's why I've been looking at even if it's digital, you know, the ACU type or whatever, there's a lot of ACU copy, you know, patterns out there that really aren't quite as dusty gray as the original. They have more of a tan or brownish tan in them now. and the advantage of that is that they actually blended better with everything because they went with green, they went with the sage green for all the fixtures so all the trim is sage green, all of the patchwork is sage green, the buckles are so between that there's very little ACU digital but with the multicam, multicam is actually a more, it really is a more universal pattern than the ACU ever was in that respect i think the issue was put out there because it was a friend fo shoot no shoe we were shooting at five-year-old blind kids with canes and they figured they could that who care but with the uh... uh... yet with a multi-cam multi-cam does work pretty much across all seasons and it's actually it's still that base green green sage is in there but it's uh... it's more in the woodland pattern ever forgive me woodland color range with the majority of what's in what's in the pattern itself so make a big difference. Yeah, see my opinion on this, I'm not necessary, you know, I don't want bright red or jet black for a pouch, but my opinion, and this is my opinion, right or wrong. You know, if my gear was OD green or my gear was a True Woodland, having a multi-cam pouch is just a slightly different variation. You know, if you don't have your little red and black medical badge on it, you know, it's just going to be easier to identify. But this is the best deal I've found for pouches. Now, you know, yeah, at one time you could buy the old standard pouch. It looked just like that, but it wasn't the fancier ripaway pouch. but you were still paying six and seven dollars for them. So to buy four of these for that price, I don't know, did you actually go to that number mark and look at it? Not yet, no, I'm actually pulling up another one. Somebody just shot me while you were talking and it looks like that's still a better price. You still got a better price. Randy, I appreciate the input, but that's still probably the better way to go. Well, see, this is a solution. Because I'll be honest with you, I think it was Friday you guys were talking about those East German fleck-tarn chests, or excuse me, the harnesses and the belts and everything. You know, I took the time to look at that, and I've never really necessarily seen those before. But you know, by you guys going through the process of pointing out and people finding variations, I actually was able to take the time and look at it. I can actually see on that German web set that was at the Sportsman's Guide for like $22 or $24, yes, it was made for the Flecktarn, but how many people stopped to think if you took Do you know how wide that belt is, Mark? Isn't that pistol belt, isn't that belt for that system like three and a half, four inches wide or three and a half? Yeah, it's got those bucklers on the back are basically the height of four fingers, little more than four fingers from the distance from one pin to the next. Molly might come pretty close to that. I'm really bothered to check that. Okay, there's a reason, yeah, excuse me, I'm sorry. No, it's okay, Mark. I do that too much. because we've got a little delay in the phone here. The reason why I said that is, you know it's possible to take a 2-inch, 50 thousandths nylon strap, you know, and actually sew that on. You know, where you sew it on the ends and then go in like 2 inches and then put another like 3 stitches or double stitch and then go another 2 inches and put a couple stitches and then stitch all the way around it or just to the sides. If you've done that and that will actually work. you can actually convert that. It still should leave it to where you could go with the German FLECTR, you know, with the German attack system. Oh, yeah, I see what you're saying. Yeah. But at the same time, you now have the options for Alice, and you now have an option for Molly, but also things like Mosin, the Gantt pouches, and some of the old East German and the old Soviet things. that use a little bit center attached. That should allow you to attach that too. And all you would have to do is add a piece of webbing, two inch webbing right down the center so you don't cover up your holes. And because it's only 50,000 stick, I'll bet you that will work within that system. Well, yeah, it probably would. It was really cool. You know, that's actually a good idea. The biggest issue would be if you're going to stitch it on, book machine would be your best choice but the the material is quite rigid but i don't know that it would offer that much resistance to a good industrial sewing machine i should know the probably straight stitch it on and actually do uh... you know like the reverse who think about this purpose tracker or talk about your own strap perpendicular to the length you could run lines up and down uh... so you know so what was so many like a half-inch apart or a quarter-inch apart some cases but you could actually use like the alice keepers or the molly gear uh... wherever you wanted to but the german gear would still clip right on because it goes in on the top with two mail dot they pivot and then it comes down on the other dot click click snap through the bottom holes and then you have those faster wraparound things that you see The neat thing about that is that a back strap like that in between wouldn't probably affect it in any way, shape, or form. No, no, and because that was actually a... I'm surprised the Germans haven't really come up with that to be quite honest, but then again, companies want to sell stuff. They don't want to improvise. Well, you figure Mark that that little solution, which I think I'm pretty certain will work. Hey, guys. Hey, this is Carl in Virginia. I'm looking some of that gear right now right in front of me and I have put more gear on the German Flettern belt and It will work. It takes up about I'm gonna say three and a half Molly sections So you can put larger pouches on it not little tiny like a like a pistol magazine pouch, but you could put a Rifle magazine pouch on here the thing is you want to use pouches that have a good quality snap and I would say if the pouch is Let's say it's a two magazine pouch then I would say between the magazines Run some 550 cord or zip tie or something through the grommets and attaching the pouch double that way just as a backup. But also, if you were to sew horizontal straps to turn it into molly, you would pretty much be sacrificing the the german grommets here you'd be covering them up it would work or no you wouldn't go that long no no where the idea would go yeah i wouldn't go that high no you know you do the strapping just right to the bottom on top of the bottom of the on the top and the top on the bottom that's as wide a strap as you want you don't want to cover anything up you just want to be able to attach and a fix you know the whatever else you you might have available where this would be an advantage to is being able to use any of the t a fifty six or the TA-90 American Alice gear because the strapping would work just like a pistol belt, no matter what gauge you get, might get a little stiff. The big thing, as you can see by the gauge of the belt, is you would think it's almost like shoe leather, and it is dense, but it's not so dense that I think an industrial, standard industrial, not a regular sewing machine, a regular industrial, probably could stitch the strapping on without any problem. Okay, well Mark, that's what I was getting ready to say. My sewing machine, I sew up to three and I have cheated and made it to four layers. I have an old Niki Japanese made standard sewing machine that I use an 18, number 18 needle sharp point that's titanium coated. And I'm sewing a T70 bonded nylon through that much. through that much uh... nylon web material yeah yes yes and i don't know where we have to experiment to do what we care for you know how to do it again lose needles i mean if it works although if you've got a heavier machine or a decent older machine especially metal drive though then dot you could experiment because you again it's a quality of the needle so you know good point there you're gonna have to consider you buy a better needle it's gonna work work harder for you all when it comes to moving through the material could be quickly at the it's a of course we've by comparison a lot of other stuff so you should build the people will find its path if we want to break the movement to go ahead carl It's a very tight weave and this material is about an eighth of an inch thick. This is this is tough stuff Yeah, great equates great gear. I don't have a problem with the biggest problem has been finding all the pieces But right now we're in a window. So if somebody wants to experiment this would be the time to do it Well, a good walking foot should be able to sew that though. See, like you said, Mark, an industrial machine. If you have a leather machine, you should be able to sew that, even if it is an eighth of an inch thick. Yep. Well, yeah, with a leather machine, you could run it all day. Wouldn't be a problem. What is your thoughts on the fish antibiotics? Oh, real quick, Mayor, for Mark, that's for me. Real quick, it's off what we're talking about right now, but that's the only place to turn now for Biotics over the counter. Everything else is pretty well locked up. It used to be that the regular veterinary care Biotics, which are made by the same companies that make all the rest of stuff, you and I take, those have been pretty well rolled in a couple years ago. but the fish biotics which they blocked for a bit because the people that fish have a lot of money and they apparently had enough influence that they got the fish biotics taken back off the restricted list so right now that's the only thing left if you're looking for a moxacillin and a couple of the other basics and heavy you know heavy hitters uh... that's the only place to go for them right now but i i mean just over the counter no accountability it's you know some put on the shelf I've got a number of those stuck away, especially the moxicillin with emergency heavy crash kits. That's what we use for that because you can't get enough of the other, you know, amoxicillin from whatever source I do have a number of other options with inventories that are shelf stable that I've collected over the years. But it's probably your best bet to go. we we get a little break we don't work for a way from a rock but hopefully answers that that would be a solution but as you can see if you've got a price is not cheap yet feel that that's a little consideration but what carl was talking about it about the webbing yahra carl the webbing has to go in between those islands uh... i mean it can't cover it because like you said then you lose your purpose but you know you can find and then webbing that should allow that should allow you to so that on there and uh... i'll bet you i would bet you just uh... even an inexpensive little small walking foot would would more than so that uh... there's even from hand crank uh... sewing machine for leather that's out there there for like a hundred bowl hundred twenty dollars the made in china uh... they look chimp you don't get out but they will so leather by hand And if all you're doing is sewing, say, 16 inches of a 50,000th and nylon webbing on each side so that you can attach things to it, you'll see, Mark, what you do, like if you don't have a binding machine, what you do is you run your stitches side by side. And if you're sewing in something that is as thick as what Carl is saying, Okay, you can't sew over itself with a standard machine or even a lightweight machine, like a commercial machine. But if you're sewing your stitches exactly right beside each other and you're using a T-70 bonded nylon, you should be able to sew that and not really have an issue. Unless there's something not just completely missing. yeah as a matter of fact uh... nothing we should point out the problem that are on this somebody asking to looking at the picture uh... sportsman's guide all those problems are a little larger bore than the the one that what you're used to with the u.s. pistol builder the copies uh... i don't believe that the nineteen ten hanger will work on that per se but again remember something the nineteen ten hangers that you feel like on the old carless dressings and on the bomb the a lot of the web gear from world war one world war two and even in the korea those suspend suspension units that wrapped into those i was can be bent they were meant to be bent there either brass or they are malleable other malleable actually the weird they actually were made out of malleable iron out or they're made out of steel but mild steel i mean by malleable iron it was a very during the war production world war two member alternate strategic materials the material has to be bendable malleable iron could be made in a number of different forms since there are so many different forms of iron and steel and apparently they did this for a period of time because it was cheaper the malleable cast iron and they made this rod and they bent it and it works but you can change the angle the angle on that those hangers don't need to be spread out as far but the most important thing is once you put them on the belt you're supposed to take a pair of pliers and push you know in crimp little bit of base together not the upper part which took to the grommet but down below you want to bring it back together or click it it works like a grip like uh... uh... official ok and uh... that would be an option but i have personally there's not that much of the world that you're a tough out there in critical form the other thing about the uh... german kit i will remind everybody to go to like paintball and some still of the airsoft but not so much the airsoft now some of the paintball companies actually have a wide variety of foreign camouflage uh... field gear items and i've mentioned this for years though they have some phenomenal discounts Now the advantage is you can find everything in Woodland you can imagine, or forgive me Woodland, in Flecktarn easy. There's tons of this stuff in Flecktarn out there, including a variety of different sized pouches that have a fairly large suspension strap in over hanger that allows you to slide it right over that pistol belt. the german one so there are other consideration is if you use the trapping idea which by the way just to give you an understanding do you see how the connector uh... clips are on the belt just imagine if you ran that that type of belting that strapping all the way along the belt under the grommet above and above the ground below just enough to fit if you see how your clips are in our one of our are people listening you got you have it your hands right now what we're talking about is taking them but adding a strap just like that only with with perpendicular sewing points so it's kind of like the back of an m14 or an m16 mag pouch but it's on the belt What this allows is for any other kind of vertical perpendicular retainer like the Alice connectors or the TA-56 connectors, the Spanish plastic clips, the German counterparts to that, they made a couple of different ones, you don't seem as much as you used to. but they would slide into that belt and would allow you to use some of the other pouches that you can't get from the in the German plectarn but it means that the kit could carry both. It should be kind of cool. Go ahead. In the sense of using the straps other than sewing it, could you not do what they already did on the German pouch and use rivets? Oh yeah, yeah, oh no, you could use rivets, that's just more work. Is it more work than you do? Yeah, the rivets are work. You could actually go plastic rivets to make it a little more malleable, softer for you. In other words, you want to go a wide pan. See, the other consideration with whatever we use is you're going to want to double stitch wherever you can when you're doing the perpendicular stitching. If you're going to do the rivets, you want to go a wider pan so it's got more control or grip over that surface area so that it creates more tension and support when you put weight on the strap. So that's a good point. Yeah, you could do rivets. Yeah, there's no reason not to. It could be metal, could be aluminum. I mean, just steel, aluminum, but I know they make plastic. You're not going to take the gear apart anyway. And all the critical mag pouches and everything uses a zip tie in place of the Alice keeper. And you don't have to tape it. It's locked into place. The only thing you gotta watch is how you put that head in when you cut the end off, take a match, and soften that cut because it'll be a little diggy point that can roll around and snag you once in a while when you're moving, if you're not careful. so just little things you can do views that were if you use the uh... the uh... cargo cargo straps like that use those it dies uh... another thing there you could take that backpack it's not a backpack that should actually it will normally when they came with the kept they came with two of those that packing be moved down to where the but pack is and there's a dozen different like karn uh... if you're going to be flak turn centric and you want everything to be in copacetic others about a dozen different flak turn backpacks are being made by the reader german imports from you know surplus or they're made by miltech for of the rock for roflco now either way they work so if you wanted to go full flak turn on this you can actually piece together and i will point out again other uh... Other pouches can be had from the paintball companies. If you go look, and I don't really have it on my fingertips, I'm going to look while we're off once we're gone here. But a couple of the companies, they have Australian, they have Dutch, they've got Norwegian, they've got Flecktarn, they've got every color you can imagine in combination of, you know, I mean, every kind of pouch you can think of. So Flecktarn is not difficult to match up if you look around, if you shop around a little bit. but original surplus is going up and this is not a bad price for a complete rig but it is a it is a german centric rig and what i mean by that if you were just trying to buy off the shelf you will see that there is a specific keeper system that the way these things settle into the the way they lock in the pouches do so if you can you want to buy the pouches that match up If you're gonna mix and match, then you can adapt other items. There are many different ways to do it. But it's not a bad system. Actually, I have a ball. Probably a dozen of these set up right now. Plus, I've got a couple of caches where I've got 40 of these sets all set away with rifles, the whole nine yards. This is one of the 40-100 programs. But other ones, okay. Unfriendly fire, remember, there's no such thing as friendly fire, but boo-boos can be made when you change the plumbing like that. You're better off just staying semi-auto and focus on that. Unless you were to do, you know, the only way that would work, and it would be very obvious if you wouldn't make any mistakes, is to, I don't know, I haven't seen whether or not they did this. The way to do that would be the old rifleman, kind of like a, or no, like your volcanic pistol. What you'd want is a stirrup slash a circular ring inside the trigger guard. And that way it would be a tell to let you know that the weapon is unique. And number two is it also affords better control across the board. Push back, push back, boom, boom, boom, boom, boom. If you think about it, if you did a small organ, like hand crank with a piston add-on, like, you know, like the Hellfire, only for a rifle, Guy did this in Ohio. uh... your right left hand is you're going to be the tripod urine bob you're in prone position your left hand comes up and fucked into the stock where it's opposed to your right hand the bipods up front so there's your tripod right there and then you're you're right hand is operating the trigger that's all of doing so instead you're just manipulating the crank for now down the road you could put a small motor on that i'm if you really want to be you know intricate You can put a small motor on that and just hit a switch. You'd actually have a button underneath. That would be safer in general because you're not modifying the gun. But if it's mechanical, they can't restrict that.
