Mark Koernke discussed a Supreme Court ruling (Caniglia v. Strom) that unanimously prohibited police from seizing firearms without a warrant under community caretaking exemptions, analyzing its implications for Second Amendment protections. He reviewed current ammunition and firearms pricing from surplus dealers, highlighting affordable options for various calibers and weapons systems. The episode featured extensive discussion of militia preparedness, weapon system procurement considerations, storage and maintenance of military equipment, and the importance of combined arms training and proficiency. Koernke addressed caller questions about post-war arms availability and private militia capabilities, emphasizing reliability, longevity, and practical affordability over cutting-edge technology. The broadcast was interrupted by severe weather alerts (tornado and dust storm warnings in the Lubbock area), forcing an early conclusion.
Constitution. You know, the right to bear arms is because that's the last form of defense against tyranny, not to hunt, to protect yourself from the police. Anybody that wants to disarm me can drop dead. Anybody that wants to make me unarmed and helpless, people that want to literally create the proven places, businesses are killed, called gun-free zones. We're going to beat you out of office or suck on my machine. No, okay, just get any blunt objects together, alright? If you get corners, put the fashion in the head, that seems to work out. Keep together, stay sharp and follow me. I had a dream the other night that, well, I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost. You're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press. and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children will be. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for what you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Oh, sons of the Republic, arise. Take a stand. Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land. Preserve our great Republic in each God-given right. And pray to God to keep the torture freedom burning bright. As I awoke he'd vanished in the mist for once he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each god-given right, we only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave, is to still the land of the free? evening intelligence report i'm a quirky one day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines and occupied territories west southeast south and central ladies and gentlemen you're listening to us LibertyTreeRadio.4mg.com Liberty Tree Radio on satellite and we are running an FM micro station, CEB base stations and Ultra Net Hallmark and Golden Spike Technologies east and west of the Mississippi along with Alaska. We'll swing back and forth. And again, as the Supreme Court isn't supreme, if you understand the real pecking order with regard to what's going on here and how they've twisted even that with regard to the courts, that was one of the first areas that they corrupted coming out of the speak into the post, actually, the agenda that was afoot there. planned progressive surrendering of the population to the kosher bankers under the twice johnson actually was one of the most effective at that no problem remains the original johnson um... linkin's uh... vice president who became president they were pissed of course they tried to impeach him because he was quite going to continue to institute certain programs that were in line with the big agenda towards shoveling us into the globalist banking system the rest of the way uh... couple of the president's were assassinated during the later part of the eighteen hundreds for the same reason because every time they rolled it up people kept pushing it back and uh... quite successful as matter of fact uh... take to with the women's scotis police cannot cease firearms they want let's do the follow-up i should we should play at least one of these so ever if you could the most recent posted a guns and gadgets make sure i get this right posted about five hours ago. Take two, a two way win at a police cannot cease firearms without a warrant community caretaking. And that was 11,444 views. Of course, when you pull it up, you might see it. Here we go. We'll be right back. Sorry, y'all. That was a terrible live stream. Um, probably with the connection. I apologize. So I figured I'll do a read shoot right quick. Um, just to keep everybody up to date. So make sure this one's live because the games people play. All right, so I'll just reshoot this real quick. I don't even know if people are in here. So Caniglia v. Strom is a case that came down not too long ago at the Supreme Court, came down this morning. The decision was nine to zero. It was a unanimous decision. This case had only to do with police uh, seizing firearms without a warrant under the community caretaking, uh, exemption of the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution. Fourth Amendment, of course, is unreasonable searches and seizures. Uh, so this case, like I said, came down this morning, and, uh, the case is the, the Kneiglia family was husband and wife. Uh, they had an argument. Mr. Kneiglia took a gun out of the safe, put it on the table, said, why don't you just end it now and shoot me? The wife left for the night. The next day she came back to the house after calling to try to get hold of her husband, which she couldn't. She called the police. Police arrived, talked to him. And after being assured that they would not confiscate his firearms, he agreed only after that to go and get some help. And the police then returned to the wife and lied and said that he agreed, and Mr. Kneigler agreed for them to seize those firearms for safety. So that is the update there. They lied to him and to the wife. In that case, they just got smashed in the mouth, the Cranston, Rhode Island Police Department for doing this. So the police are not allowed to seize firearms without a warrant, especially when it comes to the Community Care-Taking Act. Now, the Supreme Court only rules on the question in front of them. This does not affect anything else other than this type of scenario, the Community Care-Taking Act. Doesn't change red flag doesn't change Stop and frisk packdowns anything else justice one scenario. However This is a big loophole in which the hell is that the big loophole in which police operate is under the Community Caretaking Act and to have this area of firearms the Second Amendment to be Exempted from that to be protected by that by the United States Supreme Court is a win. It is absolutely a win because this This case has gone the other way. I guarantee you this could have been, it would have been ugly. Police would have been doing this all over the country and some of them already have been. So this is a big win, guys and gals. I also saw in the last one, quite a few comments about the federal register, the open period to make comments on the ATF's proposed rule change. And I'm going to check it again. I checked it like four times today. And for whatever reason, they're taking their sweet time. Excuse me while I look over my screen. They're taking their sweet time on publishing this to the Federal Register. It is still not open for comment, which it's going to be open for comment. It's just the Federal Register doesn't sometimes they post things quick. They publish them fast and they publish them slow sometimes. Not there yet. So I will keep checking when it is live. I will have it here. And just a real quick update. I apologize that the other stream was horrible. Hopefully this one comes out a little bit better. We're in my Wi-Fi now. stupid money for this Wi-Fi for the business so hopefully this is looking better. Alright guys and gals please hit that subscribe button if you want to stay in the know there's a couple other things I expect to drop today if not tomorrow hopefully so if you want to stay in the loop hit the subscribe button it goes and yeah just hit that yellow toggle toggle a bell icon thing you know what I mean and follow my other Forms of social media because sometimes I post there if it's not really worthy of a full-blown video But I thank each and every single one of you until we see each other again be safe. They basically carry a weapon I'll see you on the next one guys and gals be safe. Take care All right, and again as he pointed out this does not change any red flag status the country and Also acknowledge something that I said how many people were attacked how many people have been murdered in their home, etc Well, they're trying not to cover that needless to say the anti-gun people are going to do everything they can to deflect any information on the subject to along with the cop shops etcetera so uh... this is this has been an issue constantly that the moment that he gets some kind of interpretation even if it's even In fact, very narrow. It doesn't make any difference. Well, they tried to keep it very narrow and the cops shouldn't be able to misinterpret. No, that's BS. They always not misinterpret either. They are coached on how to lie. That's the main thing. If you don't understand that, then you're way, way behind the curve and you're just the next victim waiting to be taken out as far as the scam goes. And again, flat out, like you said, well, they lied. And they lied to everybody. Well, of course they did. That's the nature of the beast. That's what the creature does. So, you're trying to play always the one person against the other, even with regard to husband and wife, family. This is why the first rule should be, remember, when the third party group shows up, you're all on the same page. There's no problem, no conflict, and you better stay copacetic on that because otherwise, they feed off you. they feed off you they will do nothing but now you know just constant parasitic action so this is why of void of the third party contact with any of these critters to begin with and when they are there just basically stare at them you know offer no information give give them nothing otherwise they just be back feed off you non-stop now when you need their help all their just horrible Eventually they just they get more and more pissed when they realize that you're actually expecting something from them and Especially that's for repeat performance in the situation because you were told you have to be reasonable and you can't defend yourself, etc We have covered so many Different cases like that. I mean over and over and over again. So ad nauseam anyway uh... what he had this out because some of you have this rifle or shot for give me shotgun should say rifle but uh... like a rifle if you have the uh... catamount fury to or shotgun some automatic shotguns magazine urban pre-average average about twenty five to twenty seven dollars apiece but attention attention for if you have the catamount fury too uh... magazines five-round twelve gauge for twelve dollars apiece now that's a pretty good price a stock wall okay watch it is when you consider what these things have been going for but if you have that particular shotgun when it came out it was one of the other look-alikes you know that has been uh... brought into the country over the last what twelve years or so uh... remember when these came out the uh... cat about fury uh... shotguns were actually pretty reasonably priced then in fact we pointed about just kinda like the uh... sagas when they came into the country the say shotguns course the rest of history on those but the big thing having to take is our radius or to a degree uh... now pretty much of tanium in terms of price for a lot of people But if you have the Catamount Fury, go over to apexgunparts.com, apexgunparts.com, apexgunparts.com. When you get over there, scroll over to, or move over, for instance, to the first, to Sales and Deals. When you touch that, you scroll down a little bit by, I think, one, two, three, four, five, six, ooh, well. oh wait a minute, I think I went past it, what do they do there? I've never go that far. 1, 2, 3, there we go, now I got it. It is $11.99, I'd say that's 12. But for what it is, especially since that is a unique proprietary gun, there isn't anything that matches up for the most part. This is a good $12 a unit, in fact better than the original when they came out. i don't believe that they're ready to go i think you're an average of between nineteen ninety five and twenty three dollars apiece when they went up to twenty seven or so and so for twelve dollars for a brand new magazine five-router uh... that gives you a lot more mags to put in the pouch if you have the cat about fury to all these are the five round magazines twelve dollars apiece and that is over eight pecs gun parts dot com apex gun parts dot com I want to get that out there. I jumped out at me because, again, you don't, you know, if the shotgun is older like that, it's run through the cycle. They only bring in so many spare mags, and if an American company does crank out aftermarket, even they only run so long, and then it just kind of fades off, you know, dribbles off because the gun is not up on the front line, so to speak, in terms of purchasing. And this is a good deal. It's surplus. I mean, that's... that's why they've got them sure apex because apex is a surplus company so these are over in the sales and deal section of apex gun parts dot com but all i think about the third-line line on the left-hand side and that's where you'll find up the also a bunch of conovan field parts and others they always have that but they've got some fail deal so you might want to take a look at that if anything is pertinent to your interest if you guys are running uh... infield rifles I've mentioned this before, but there's been an influx here. I don't know what country they got them from. I don't know if they came from England proper, I doubt it. I think more likely it's a second line country like either India or possibly from the Israelis, even though it's British made parts. Example, Enfield number four mark two firing pin the spring, set of five, 1695. You can't beat that. new parts like that are a lot more expensive in this case yeah i know you're getting five springs what it's worth it because you're good bill open inventory if you have a bunch of infield you want to uh... try to accumulate some of these things and build up a maintenance create our main maintenance toolbox for the rifle uh... another thing uh... nineteen all three springfield main spring pack of twenty five and i know all the hundred dollars but a lot of you guys have the nineteen oh three spring fields uh... in service we start buying them years ago back in the old back in the day we were a lot younger and uh... although they did rise in price faster model nineteen seventeen and field the spring fields were still reasonably priced under a hundred dollars apiece we bought a couple and then of course the rest is history because all guns appreciate and value you know this we've warned you about it yes they're gonna get more expensive how it works uh... another thing is uh... we were talking about ammunition uh... and i do have to remind you again i don't know what's left in fact i should go over there aims surplus dot com they got their preview partisan first first wave and they might get more And so AIMsurplus.com, AIMsurplus.com. And when you get over there, AIMsurplus.com, when you get over there, go to search for AMMO. Go to AMMO. That should get you where you need to go. Everybody understands AMMO, right? Let's see what did we have this come in no more PPU although there's been some other stuff in I've expected this Two two three well the prices not way as good as it could be but at least it's not outrageous 556 55 grain FMJ 190 M 90 193 ammunition 20 rounds per box and This is the brass case 1499 a box Eh, but not bad by today's standards. Should be Boxer Prime, non-corrosive, it is reloadable. Wolf MWM instead of M. WM193, so it's Wolf M193, that's what they're doing there. And it's $15 a box by 50 or above and pays $13.99. So $14 instead of $15, $14 a box, there we go. so you save a dollar the quantity and this is boxer prep non-corrosive and it's been the equivalent to what wolf gold as they were doing it a few years also there's some forty smith and wesson preview partisan p p u all the premium under the grain jacket how a point not critical and it's forty dollars a box the uh... thirty dollar about the devil is gone i hate to tell you but many i don't if you guys got it you got it And also another thing that they did get in and I hadn't really dwell on is they've got some normal, not cheap, not cheap, not anywhere near normal, always expensive. Mentioned that before and they had some really great normal prices and I don't know how they, how they made those deals, you know, what earlier last year, normal 7.7 Japanese Arasaka, 174 grain, soft point ammunition, works fine. 44.95. Can we say $45 a box? Yes, we can. Yes, I noticed they do have some wolf 9mm for $30 a box for season. Oh God. So, and again, live with it. If it makes sense to you, then fine. If not, get ready to reload just like the rest of us. And yes, go with lead projectile with copper plating. That's the thing we're reintroducing into the shooting circles here because nobody had heard about that. So we're teaching everybody a few old old old tricks with the last ammunition shortage or should say the first one we had which was back in 79 right around there to 80 and uh... it was all the old munitions inventories were exhausted that's why that happened and the rest is history now so anyway old wait a minute on out sold out Okay, that's aim surplus keep an eye on them dog that if there's anything looks like it's useful Then swoop in like a hawk and grab it before it's gone. This is all you can do Also, and yes classic firearms does have some replacement ammo It looks like they got some PP you and also must be again. It comes off the docks However, tell up on whatever little they're getting and or how it's being doled out between everybody would point out What's there is there and we catch it while you can? and that is over at ClassicFirearms.com and I just want to make sure, let's see ClassicFirearms.com, I'm going to make sure we get that right. And again, yeah, I've noticed a whole bunch of 762 Tokarev pistols have come in. Somebody asked me about that last night in an email and the biggest problem is ammunition. if you're looking for a new gun right now seven six two by twenty five is just not out there for the cheap price that it was which makes sense uh... it when buying it if it was reasonably priced right now there isn't a whole lot of seven six to uh... talk rev uh... ammunition give me a break remark all of the best thing i just had something happen that i have never had happened going to classic firearms. You go over to the pistol ammunition and they want to verify that you're over 18. I have never had, well, again, it's not the pieces of trash. Anyway, just real quick, hold on caller, there is, no, there's nothing cheap, oh God. You're talking paying for magtech ammunition what we're paying for a 5.56 round for 9 millimeter. And there's no excuse for that. Of course, I could say the other way around, it's like, well, the rifle round should be cheaper, but no, it shouldn't. A straight case pistol round is the cheapest possible brass to build, guys. This stuff should be half or a quarter the price of what the rifle round is. A rifle round takes a lot more expertise to build than a stinking straight case. And the prices that I've been seeing here, it's like, and of course they're staying where they're staying, but no and mag tech is okay but my decade of mag techs good ammunition domain mistake about that i should i should all day throw at me all put it down range but for the price for we're talking about for the stuff it's like it's ludicrous all as a matter of fact just a heads up what i was just mentioning remaining on seven sixty by twenty five eighty six grain brass bardin on nineteen eight production one thousand two hundred twenty four rounds per chance that we were buying by the time for eighty dollars a can uh... is nine hundred dollars yeah nine hundred dollars well nine hundred and one no nine hundred dollars uh... point seven three five cents per round i would say that that poker problems a little tougher bill because it's a cold bottle you know it's a it's a step to catch that actually takes more but this is surplus Again, if you're looking at buying a Tokarev, this is what you're looking at. That's the ammunition that you need. So for answering anybody's questions, listen to her. If you already have a ton of Tokarev and you bought it back when it was $0.35 or $0.06 around, then yeah, buying more Tokarev pistols would be a good thing. But that's the consideration. No better or no worse than buying 9mm now. So the advantage was the pistols used to be cheap and the ammunition was even cheaper. That isn't the case anymore, which makes until they become sensible with surplus, especially since there's a ton of this stuff still either being cranked out or still piled up over there overseas, then that kind of pricing is outrageous as far as I'm concerned, but especially for straight case pistol. There is no reason for that. That's the simplest possible case you can build. So, again, I'm at it, yes, I don't like that. We got a caller, who do we have? Jeff in there, please. Tell me. So, when the war ends, obviously some, when we're, when arms are completely deregulated and anyone can buy anything, for the average local militia, private, you know, let's say, man, either platoon in size to company in size, would things like SAMs be affordable if they're just working on their budget with no government? wait you've faded out for some reason there i have a little trying to have got a area but you do we lost your signal towards about half my back but that's okay i think it's my dad i said when arms deregulation happens at the end of this war and you can even during the war and you know you're able to buy whatever you want to buy would be private militias company in size or maybe platoon in size would they be able to work word things without government help you know stuff like sam's all in the past anything and everything that was available uh... if the if they have the budget if they're able to require them acquire the uh... digits then uh... typically they could we could buy anything it's here this idea is a lot of the other one of it what i was a little bit of a report we could i just don't you say the biggest problem is going to be what does it cost and this is where older inventory weapons systems are usually chosen because you get more bang for the buck uh... the the there's a couple of factors here when you're looking at crew served or you're looking at more sophisticated weapon systems number one storage time uh... a lot of the equipment that's built well uh... let's put this way some that weren't so sophisticated the law and seventy two laws rocket was a very very simple castaway anti-tank weapon band anti-position weapon that we made during vietnam it was a magnum error weapon by the way dislike m sixteen Unfortunately, when they first cranked it out and dumped a bunch of men to Vietnam, even though they had tested for the winter and for the summer environmental school storage tests for conditions and issues that might develop, and they dumped it into Vietnam. It ended up being a major failure like the M16 initially, or at least in certain environments. It turned out that you want certain environments. In the hot extreme temperature environments of Vietnam, which it was supposed to be built for, it had a tendency to deactivate certain components failed. And this got a lot of people killed just like it did with the M16 in certain situations. even though there were supposed fixes that everybody was taught, typically you couldn't get them done fast enough. And remember, it's a very, very simple weapon system. So one of the considerations when you're looking at procuring arms is for the long haul technology, what is your best choice in terms of a weapon system to purchase? Like you said, Sam, for instance. This is why Russian equipment has been more popular overseas uh... that american for a very long time level for all through the cold war even uh... because it was simpler it was crew uh... but it was more reliable in terms of any kind of well condition but most importantly were reliable with long-term storage it's amazing how much of their own turn our stuff works to let me know average but the if you look at the ukrainian war as they were acknowledging their polling weapons out of the inventory that their grandfathers carried you know the cold war weapons and uh... they're using them with reckless abandoned everything from uh... any tank weapons to uh... bird or even platform fired missile launch you know electronically launch weapons if you were looking at purchasing after the war is going to be two directions you're going to go for with existing munitions inventories that are acquired by the you know powers the B people out there that are have your fat of finger and you will be procuring from the private sector uh... as surplus or you'll be buying new production from the united states first and foremost in fact if you're smart you'd be buying primarily that however you the other part of the new market would be replacements for existing weapons systems that you've captured and there would be a restriction on that per se uh... much like i kept said all any anything that the army all the and the air force all of it up until the communist finally we're able to snatch power thirty three everybody could all the biggest problem you had with with say nineteen twenty nine is the depression which draw you know drove everybody into the basement nobody had the money to spend before that Anybody could walk in any pretty much anywhere and buy anything they wanted there or you could go to you could go to any of the ordinance Manufacturers and buy whatever you wanted. Nobody cared Private artillery was all over the place Surplus our armaments were everywhere Yeah, it's just nobody thought twice about it. Why well, we were almost all on the same page about where we wanted to be with America It's only when the oi boys start stirring the pot and creating conflict that they were concerned that the peasants would get up at e so fdr implemented the war powers act and of course you know made their move just like the carmen are making their move right now uh... the the economic period economics what does it cost store how how effectively can you start because what special technologies do you need this goes back to american war for independence we've had a massive powder reserve all over all the colonies But the other issue was proper storage, so in fact also they wanted to, of course the British wanted to centralize it for control, but powder magazines were built primarily by location. Drainage was a big thing. Again, proper construction of the ordinance bunkers so that they wouldn't be a risk to the equipment. uh... it had to be full season had to be your rockers pretty much all the northern states northern colonies before there were states uh... had all the issues of free spa and with free spa comes obviously humidity and humidity is the death knell of all new ordinance powder and really that hasn't changed because that's what did in the law's rocket the polymer or forgive me the adhesive that was used to feel the primary uh... components turned out that in a hot environment it had a tendency to break down and contract and it allowed for moisture to seep into critical components both the electrical of the very small electrical transmit point for the capacitor and also of the feel around the uh... primary charge the primary rocket charge now the one took more time the rocket charge was what we'd like to but smaller uh... contacts and components oxidized and broke down of the seals and protective materials that were in place didn't work effectively. In fact, if they weren't used quickly and they were stored in place for any period of time, they were deactivated. And that's what happened to the one SF group that was overrun by PT-76 tanks and one of the few tank actions in South Vietnam. They had piles of laws rockets, piles. All they had pallets full and not one of them worked. which is the older one what two or three the men who were defending the position that were at the top or killed when they were found still trying to jury-rigged laws rockets to get him to fire that one of their hand or they were actually caught you know on a whereas we're trying to pick the damn thing so they could use it and they were shot band-headed executed up uh... with that other found dead or this is one of those things where when we look at procurement of special technologies we're gonna have to be serious about won't be serious and or penures about the equipment is, you know, again, longevity, storage time, reliability and consistency. And those are all factors with more complicated weapon systems. Typically, what's going to happen is you'll be turning to the less sophisticated but more reliable weapon systems to get the job done. With air defense, your first rule is that you have umbrellas of fire. Yeah, one of the reasons to have different calibers, somebody always says, well, why don't you just have one caliber and one gun? Because the different envelopes of fire help to cover the different altitudes effectively with enough saturation that it's kind of like literally a wall of fire. So you have different tiers of air defense, and missiles are part of that. As a matter of fact, it's all called an air defense throwing junk. Artillery would be the same issue. for instance bag charges the norm but fixed munitions are far more reliable if properly if they're properly stored in the safe assemble for storage and stored are far more reliable for long-term use sense every aspect of whatever it is you're doing if you can feel it and then comprising of uh... compile a storage system that uh... keeps again h two oh that your killer okay moisture away from the components and away from the internal active agents uh... what's the other thing here is also against their parts uh... and parts maintenance of having spares and creating a spare system if it's simple doesn't requires many spare parts but as i said just like with the have with the handguns rifles and shotguns the basic of uh... perishable component need to be built up uh... to grow up years ago had uh... like i said the sheriff here and wash our county had to recall is rifles that he purchased uh... he could do over the counter to do it did it on the sheriff's uh... monicker that's all i do is have a sheriff's title and there was no additional paperwork because all the sheriff's can do this that's why they were picking and picking and morning when the sheriff's down in uh... was it uh... i want to get it make sure i got a right those louisiana and also in mississippi no forgive me arkansas with the other one uh... where the sheriff's purchased fifty caliber brownings and their own godly got fifty caliber bombings and they bought two of them they could buy very many they're not cheap but they're also again they're little bit alia limited budget but the uh... county come to a combination of the county paying for it and private benefactors coming forward They bought two M250 calibers per militia, per county militia, and supporting tools, supporting ammunition, et cetera, et cetera. Because if you got the razor, you've got to have the blades. And that's one of the considerations. They only had two, I mean, by comparison, the Army's got tons. But they did, they were building up, or they had what they could afford within the budget that would make sense, and that was their first best choice to have some form of supremacy weapon. Again, longevity and performance, easy to store, easy to operate, many people with experience who have former military, so the weapon made sense for the militia at that particular point. There are other advanced weapons that you can acquire, but if the old story, use it or lose it, at some point you're going to be along in the tooth and you have to either shoot it and replace it or expect progressive degradation in storage. and and of course then were a lack of reliability on the battlefield it would be whatever you choose which it would you would you would want to do we did do this would be to have a standard that was supposedly the reason for the uh... uh... the deck act okay years ago the idea was that while their bolishes had so many different weapons and so we need to standardize on thirty caliber okay well we could do that without having to pass any federal regulation uh... it just recommended that again if you if at all possible the basic parameters of this uh... we're going to be using these weapons within the old look within coldest or not going to be projecting strength with the militia we're going to be defending uh... if a certain part of the country committed to a particular character particular type of weapon system uh... it would be preferred that they're all the same page with the same round for you know inventory reliability with the manufacturing capacity we have but uh... we have such a large and vast force and no single government really is is ever completely changed over for one caliber of the next and we give an example of russia how much seven six two by thirty nine to the to still produce today though the five four five by thirty nine should be the standard across the board and yet wolf is producing 762x39 to feed the export weapons that they already produced plus the because of the vast wall distances and the time that it takes to switch over in many cases, the reserve units or other formations are not on the 545x39 but have 762x39 plus they're still using the 762x54R round they have nine millimeter mackerel and they have nine millimeter parabellum and because of the size america would be the same boat because of the size of this country will never fully get rid of france and thirty-odd six not for quite some time though too many million grand are still out there in our hands plus god knows how many personal civilian arms which are superior in many ways to the conventional military arms that they try to push everybody towards uh... Other considerations more sophisticated the weapon system example is aircraft now. I'm gonna tell you something I almost bought a Whole bunch of jets here. There we go. Can you hear me dead? Go ahead. Okay, I gotta come up We got a severe weather alert. They're saying take shelter tornado in this area You want to well center a lot continue to the top of the hour But then after that I'm probably gonna be done. I'll have to get a hold of Randy. Okay, very good well keep an eye on things uh... words that are you know blood do they have any idea where the touchdown or trade or identified what uh... not yet show is trying to find out okay very good pretty okay well if you have to shut down you shut down no problem with a little figured out well okay let me know that i'm not going to say we're going to put it this way there we had an opportunity then i kicked myself in the rumpus because while i have been buying aircraft we've been buying aircraft quite some time and we have quite an inventory, okay? But we could have had a wing of a particular plane that would have served well because it would have increased our potential pilot inventory. We would have been a training mechanism. And while we do have some, I could have had them all and I actually had the resources to do it and I should have, so. there's stuff like that it pops up but in order even will it you know you ought to be willing to do it one of the things against me is i could have purchased all the parts of the torrey and had all i mean even the mechanics the uh... part of the Tories themselves in case stacked up numbers all over the uh... country and i should have uh... too late not to worry about it because there's other things were already investing in but Is it the cutting edge state of the art, you know, like a MIG31 or an XMLE416 Super Stealth Fighter American Jet? No, nothing like that. It would serve two purposes. One would be coin, okay, well of course that's counter. It would serve ground attack support, it would be a trainer, etc., but it would be a sophisticated trainer. understanding the supply problems and the issues i would have immediately been turning to other parts of the tourism purchasing all of that we could do that right now we do that there's you we've you could buy one by a few we fleet uh... you want rhoda we aircraft i could cover the country i've already got a survey coverage covered country we could put twenty thirty forty fifty or a hundred and he we've together from existing inventories if long as you're not worried about the idea that i'm asked permission to fly them there's no reason not to have the things cranked out squared away ready to go and we have a deep uh... technical support base with people that are prior service is experienced in helicopter maintenance and helicopter in-depth reconstruction for certification and they'd be more happy they can be with their healthy the writing on the wall so the biggest private got is again you know while you might want the latest widget the latest widget you might only be able to afford one of Whereas on the other hand, to get more people proficient up to a level comparable to or just below that latest widget, you can acquire a lot more of something else. And this gives everybody the opportunity to get up to a certain level of expertise. To give you an example, armored trucks are cheaper than APCs. Armored trucks are also a good way to teach people about a vehicle teamwork if they're built right. and then also helping them to understand interactive teamwork in the platoon and also then larger formations in deployment, simulating mechanized, you know, heavier mechanized formations. It's more important that you understand the teamwork process than the technicals with regard to the weapon you might capture down the road, which you can pick up on pretty quick. We got a pretty smart crew on our side. The other side, not so much. They got a bunch of dweebs. So they're stuck. In fact, if you look at it, think about this. They got the face mask wares. They pissed their pants and hide under the bed just with the rumor of something, some disaster happening. On the other hand, we run around without face masks and breathe normally and act like humans. And in the process, we're all sort of still using our brains. So that's the difference between our side and what they got to work with on their side. And in this case, again, like why mention armored trucks? How do you get people to understand mechanized operations? You know, because some idiot out there goes, well, it's not an Abrams. Nope, not an Abrams. It's a vehicle that can be configured with onboard, you know, support weapon systems, a driver, a team leader slash commander, or, you know, in most cases with a truck, you're working using it like you would, say, an APC. More importantly, like an IFV if you do it right. Now the idea behind this is that, remember, there has to be cooperation between the weapons platform, your armored truck with whatever you put up on the roof, or in the back end, and the crew component, the troop component, forgive me, that is going to be dismounted, and then the team leader, the infantry team leader, is going to coordinate with the vehicle coordinator slash commander, and they're going to integrate and work as a combined arms team. Now, tie one more thing into that, indirect fire support, which isn't hard to practice doing, and now all of a sudden you've developed a whole lot of skills that the other side figured that you couldn't master. Well, not only could you muster the troops, but you could master the skill. And this is also true when we talk about more sophisticated weapons systems going from war to peacetime. We need to be able to maintain a certain standard of proficiency. but that means everybody's gonna have to understand they're going to have to commit time to the process and there's no cutting corners on this so the guard idea was is interesting it has worked to a degree but has a lot of families mostly at the idea of appeasing to the idea that originally decades ago all the national guard would start out working on friday night or friday afternoon and they would be functional until sunday evening First thing they did is they kind of peeled off from one end, being there on Friday afternoon, I'll just be there Sunday, Saturday morning. And then after that, it was, well, how about we just leave it, say, four o'clock instead of five o'clock? Three o'clock instead of four o'clock? How about we just take it and do a half day on Sunday? and you know we really don't do much on sunday anyway only because it really get your act together actually perform the way should that would include even having church services because that is part of military operation that you've got chaplains and they have that job so it's not a big deal for you actually carve the time off for that but when in doing so then when you're done you get back to work Congratulations, it's the nature of the environment that you're in. But you never, this is how, like I said, everything works this way. People lose their work ethic. People become disfocused, so to speak. Go through the motion, but not necessarily with seriousness until things get serious again. I would point out as an OPFOR commander, I worked with a lot of different units. And you know who are the most serious units to actually work with? The medkit units. The units that you were not front line combat infantry, but when I was able to field an OP-4 force, they actually were able to work as an integrated unit together. And amazingly enough, their unit commanders typically were hard chargers. And you know what's funny? I trained a lot of people just before Desert Dust 1, and the biggest compliment I got is afterwards meeting with or saying hi to some of these guys that come to my front porch, so the people that I trained with, or that I worked at worked with that were unit commanders or were individuals they took their troops overseas and they said the most important thing training we got was the up for training with you which allowed for my unit to work as an integrated combat team where I didn't have to pair people off or cut people out of the job so they could try to play aggressor and they also were able to focus on every aspect of their of their mission and that was a big, I don't, you know, I didn't expect a pad on the head or a squeeze on the ass, but I'll tell you what, that was what I was hoping to accomplish. The guys came back, said, yeah, the training we got, the way that we got it is what made the difference. Other units were, you know, were fumble screwing left, right, up, and down. And that's gonna be, there's gonna be variations on that anyway. The big thing here again is we have to look at, I mentioned it a moment ago, combined arms team issues. one of the problems is that remember you're not a division you're a company strength unit or you're a battalion strength unit at the county level not much more you may have more population to work with if you've got a larger metropolitan area involved so remember the other problem you've got is that you're going to have to expect your people to wear many more happy all the guy who's doing uh... who's going to be in charge of supply and support is not a rare area of uh... in the old individual actually that's just one of the many aspects of the jobs are going to have to be covered by are you with two or three hats that one person is going to have to wear in a county size formation you may have thousands of people but remember that you know there are a number of different tasks that you were still going to have to overlap which typically happens in the military anyway Okay, we got we have two thunderstorms head towards us and a book at the same time coming up from another direction So we've got we got a dust storm and two thunderstorms are about to collide right in Lubbock. Oh The dust storms coming from the south Dust storm and a thunderstorm are coming from the south and then we got another one coming in from the west The bigger ones coming from the west that's one they're watching right now that there is one that's just south of the house right now that's coming up with a little sandstorm. Okay, very good. We'll continue for a few more minutes, but again, Ed, you're just going to have to... Well, your discretion, you're going to have to make the decision about whether or not you want to, you know, maybe shut down for the time being. Go over to Ed. I'm probably going to shut off for the hour. The local shelter for the area is the fire department, but we'll probably take shelter in the smaller... room. Right. Okay. I think it's that. Okay. Hey, I know I got people listening. If you're looking for us and something happens, you'll know roughly what area of the house to look for us. Meanwhile, somebody else is listening. We got some extra keyboard operators. I got a set of tigers here that are really notorious. I know I'm beginning to think they figured out how the board and the phone work because they look at me and then they their paws go up to the controls and they stop and they're smart asses. They're looking at me right now like, hey, I think I can mess with your head. Yeah. I don't know if we have Randy on the line yet. I don't think we do, but he's been, he's been gone for a couple of Mondays because of the treatments with this cancer. So right. I know that's what it takes. It takes a toll. Well, he's opted not to do the chemo. He's going to be doing an alternative. Right. Oh, somebody's asking, yeah, OK, real quick. Before we go to the top here, over at Classic Firearms, here's an example I was talking about, two for one. Which would I buy? They've got Talamil for $0.35 a round. They've got Wolf for $0.38. Do I need to say any more? Buy the Talamil. 122 grain. It's FMJ. They're both FMJs. It was choice between the two. Do the Tullamil. The Tullamil, okay. It's 35 cents a round. This is what I've been saying. It's the AK round is right now about half the price plus or minus a few pennies. Who cares? But you know, two shots for the price of one. Guess which way you go. For the time being, the 7.62x39 is most sensible. If you've got the ARs, you're going to have to bite the bullet. Pardon the pun. and go with whatever issue can find that is in the five five six uh... configuration another thing i had a bunch of people asking about many fourteen magazine um... and i don't know why it's like a matrix thing we got a bunch of maybe it's a you know again bunch of different uh... activity out there there's so many things going on i have been clean uh... if you're going to go after market consider this the twenty round magazine was the norm for the many fourteen for the longest time and the 20 rounders are relatively reliable no matter who makes them. When you have to make that little bend in the magazine, that little banana shape, that's where the different magazines perform better or worse. Ruger mags, if you can find them, are obviously first best choice. They were originally not even selling them to the American people. Remember, I've talked about this many times, Ruger was a bastard in that respect. He didn't like you American gun owners having all the same guns that the cops had. And so he wouldn't, he'd sell any tin plate, you know, third world dictator that was murdering half his population, but he wouldn't sell you a 30 round mag. So if it's Ruger mags, they're good. Stainless would be best, to be quite honest, simply because they perfected stainless Mini-14 mags long before most people were working with stainless. So they pretty well got work in the metal downright, and the magazines work flawlessly. So if you're looking at Mini-14 and you can find the stainless mags, remember you can always paint them. You can durable. There's all kinds of different coats you can use now. And I would subdue them because otherwise they are kind of shiny in the field even when they're flat matte the way they are. So you want to get rid of that light color. You'll see what I'm talking about if you ever do any videos with anything. It really jumps out, especially this time of the night. We're on the edge of sunset right now. Amazingly enough, if that's when they shine, when they really kind of stand out. So do a little bit of Krylon UltraFlat or whatever you're going to do and or coat them with something in an ultra-flat finish and they should be okay. It doesn't have to be much, just enough to break it up. Anyway, that's classicfirearms.com, somebody's asking, classicfirearms.com for the 37.62x39 ammo. If you go through their rifle ammunition, I believe it is the first page, right there on the top. And then otherwise, it's outrageous, outrageous, outrageous, and outrageous. But the 7.62x39 is still the most affordable. For you guys that have SKS's, you're smelling right now, I know you are. so any case as it is uh... with the last but not least when we're looking at uh... again the uh... will look at it the post war period one of the other things that is going to happen is local american production one of the things that can bring down your cost in operations is to actually not only well not only bill for yourself but eventually produce a product that is useful to the rest of the cause rest of the uh... the uh... forces that are out there uh... examples are you know especially in terms of munitions We could use more small production across the country. It is tactically and strategically beneficial. So that's something that everybody should be thinking about in advance and then looking at developing afterwards. Remember that manufacturing doesn't have to do just one thing and ideally you need to be able to produce for wartime production and also peacetime necessity, things that are needed. One of the things you're going to be surprised to see is the Japanese guy. The world owner. Work as a team. Remember, you are the solution. The enemy, they're not going to like what happens to that. Anyway, Ed's going to take some time down, I believe. And guys, for everybody out there, pay attention to your environment. We'll be back tomorrow at the same time. Evening until we're done. God bless.
