As a matter of fact, something we haven't mentioned before because I've had a few people that have been kind of questioning or asking. Yeah, some of these radios out there are 9 volt power source. They take a 9 volt battery. Number one, you can get 9 volt batteries over a dollar tree. Now, I have not really burned those down to see what they'll run nonstop. But the Sylvanias and whatever they've got that are in there, no-name brand slash in the dollar tree aisles in the conventional double a's and triple a's they run for about twenty eight hours non-stop we've done that we've run them we've been on you know on the road we've kept the radios on the see how far the batteries will run and they'll do twenty four hours comfortably and beyond okay The interesting thing about the 9V, probably they'll service the same way, but remember they are a unique battery today, not completely obsolete or even obsolescent. There's a lot of piece of equipment that are out there that use a 9V battery. What I do like about the 9V systems is how they do lock on in a very positive way, so it's more likely that the power is not going to be interrupted by a jiggle, a wiggle, or a little bit of oxidation. As long as the leads that are the wire that lead up to those little double snaps that are on the top of the battery that, you know, of course the leads that hook are part of the connect unit that's on your radio, as long as they're well built, you should be good. As long as the Chinese didn't go too many thin strand wires, you know, minimize to get the job done, and of course typically they do, but as far as rechargeables go, yes, there are rechargeables out there in the 9-volt battery system. Interestingly enough, where they came in first, long before most people were really thinking about those, is with military fixtures. And in fact, there are some surplus 9 volt, they've got NiCads, and I've also seen Nickel Hydride. In a 9 volt military surplus package battery, a couple of different scientific surplus places have had them, and industrial surplus places. Some are coming with even some charger or with a charger unit or have a charger unit that's usually advertised nearby that mates up to that family of batteries, depending on what it is, nickel, you know, like, you know, NiCads. versus the ion batteries and some of the others. There are different charging systems and they're built for a reason. What's interesting is that the earlier 9-volt, typically all of NICADs, had a reasonable service life. One of the places where they were using these was with Air Force marker systems. Now they had toss-out 9-volt. But they also made, and I don't know if they were just XM, experimental model, or if they were an M model, if they eventually were brought into major service. But the NICADs were first, and that was way back in the very late 70s, very early 80s. The batteries were pretty successful because, well, your tax dollars at work. However, there's one batch, by what I understand, in talking to operators. There was one batch that were just worthless. They were pretty well pulled from the system and they weren't sold to surplus. They were actually negated to scrap by what I understand. So if it's out there and it's in surplus, it is not a questionable package. It's not something where, well, is this one of the B4s or whatever the D66 is? I don't know what the nomenclature was on that particular batch, but pretty much everything that is in the system is serviceable. You might notice you may not have paid attention or even realized it, but if you have any of the older style battery chargers, RadioJerk, slash RadioShack, or whatever, there is usually one or two snap type charger points where you have the male-female snaps to plug your 9-volt rechargeable right into the charger. Some people just kind of ignored them, they just kind of figured button to switch, they used 90% or 80% of their observational skills. And you go and look at it and go, I don't think it's, oh, it is on there. Because they did typically build the traditional, especially NiCAD chargers to go nine volt, D cell, C cell, AA, AAA, and 123 batteries. So, in fact, typically for a lot of them, if you'll notice with the chargers, They have a little spring-mounted head for the cap, for the AA's. And you can either put a AA in there or a 1, 2, 3 battery will fit right into the same location or any of the variations, including another odd battery, which is why they're also a little sloppy in the fixture. You know, there's more space. that is needed for the AA. You might recall that there were a couple of other batteries. One of them was adopted by the military and by the radio communications industry that is a kind of a chubby, not a AA but a little bigger. About the same length with two extended posts on each end, kits on each end. And these batteries showed up in smoke alarms, which rechargeable is not critical for, but they did show up for whatever reason in the throwaway version or the limited life version for smoke alarms and for radios, for handheld radios. Just one of those things where it was interesting, I guess. somebody offered it on the market, somebody probably got a good deal, but because of that there were rechargeables made because of the radio option. And so you may run into those and a lot of your old battery chargers never, never, never throw away a charger, just box it up or put it on the shelf or make up a tote for old charging units. You never know when you're gonna run into something where it's like, man, I got all these radios and there's even some brand new batteries here in the plastic, but there's no charging unit. Ah, it doesn't mean everything got to where it, you know, to the final point of discovery when you get hold of it. So you need to be prepared to be able to supplement what is missing when the time comes, be able to replace and of course rejuvenate as needed. Another thing about the rechargeable batteries, guys, use carriers for them. Don't just throw them in your pocket. There's a number of different ways you can do this. I'll tell you what, watch for old, and this is simple really, watch for old toy devices that are being chucked out from, for instance, Dollar Tree items. There's a lot of stuff like Christmas lights, little LED lights, toys, whatever. Those little boxes that carry the batteries, what you do is you disconnect the leads or the connects, but you use the box itself. You can make it into a, because they usually snap together and they have a nice, it's cheap, but they have a little keeper. And this gives you a device to put all the batteries in. And of course, also wouldn't be bad if it isn't already a waterproof container, and some of them are quite fancy, to put it then in a Ziploc bag. You don't have a handful of chiclets floating around in your pocket. Again, you find this stuff all over the place, kids getting rid of toys, watch yard sales. You'll even find carriers. If you're lucky, once in a while, go through Dollar Tree. Look to see what they have in little plastic containers in the container aisle or in the art aisle and see if there isn't something that fits AA and AAA batteries that can be blocked and sealed. A lot of times they're made in milky plastic. They're not real complicated, but that is another solution. And again, remember you want to keep your batch batteries separate if you charge one batch of batteries up. You want to put a little piece of paper tape or a paper label, again, go to the Dollar Tree or go to whatever you got in the way of a dollar store or cheapie store, and get a bunch of paper tape, tags. Date when you charge now don't just write it in the hold-on color. Just don't write it on a big label I mean take up the whole label Write it finely enough and and squarely enough that in print that you can read the date when it was charged When you are finished with it scratch a line through that that'll identify that the batteries have been used when you put it back in the carrier and When you get back to the shop or if you got time to hook up your solar if you're out in the field Those batteries then get recycled. You put a little benchmark number for the date of recharge when you're finished with recharging and they go back in your pocket. Go ahead, caller, jump in there. Yes, Mark. I was just going to suggest I often see at the Goodwill and the other thrift stores like pencil boxes, like the school children that have often get. Many of them made by Sterilite or other companies, sometimes even Rubbermaid. They have a good catch and if not completely airtight, they are, shall we say, pretty much so. And they'll hold more than enough batteries for a while. It's just a suggestion, but I do often see them and, well, I personally snap them up when I find them for that. Well, another thing to watch is you got all these candies that are in the cash register aisles nowadays. And there's a bunch of them that are in different weird little plastic container sizes and they're sealed. They're designed to hold the candy in and keep it dry from getting wet, moisture at least accumulating. And the price is right. If you find somebody chucking them, always look around or watch to see what people are getting rid of at work. Some people are, you know, they're fiends on stuff like that. So the cool thing is you end up with a lot of them. It's kind of like the little tic-tac containers. Those were great for tiny screw holders. If you had a certain size screw, you only didn't want to dump them all in your hand. You don't want to keep re-handling them. You load them up in the little tic-tac container and then when you needed one or two or three, you just flip them over, especially for guys doing electronics. And the same is true with a lot of these other little packages and little BOP containers like that. They don't need to be very big. And if they already are sealable, then that's a good thing. Most important is again, Mr. Ziploc bag is your friend. If it's a smaller bag or a smaller item, remember they make snack size Ziploc bags, which are perfect for putting the container in just to give it that much more protection in the field. And remember rechargeables should go in two places in your pocket, in your field jacket, or better still, your battle blouse, which you probably won't lose. And number two is on your combat gear itself. Preferably, if you have a little radio pouch, a lot of times a little hanger side pouch or, you know, little sleeves or pockets. Guys, use them. That's the big thing use them you may have a place for the radio it in many cases has a little blister pouch on the front or a little Parasite pouch on the side I don't know what they originally were thinking they were making them for but they love put little pockets on things and I love the idea that they did it Just make sure you come up with a system and that you are consistent with regard to memory so that you know Where they are, you know what you're looking for, you know where it is. That's the big thing Other than that, again, the other thing, paper tape I mentioned, that's masking tape, not friction tape. Paper tape. Now the only thing I will say about paper tape, it really will stick pretty well if it gets old and nasty on something. So the basic rule is it sticks well enough for when you need to use it. You can peel it off and, you know, again, make sure it doesn't leave a bunch of tackiness on your equipment. If it sits long enough, the adhesive starts to bond and lock up. So you got to remember to cycle the stuff out. Medical tape will work. The only thing is about both is at least the paper tape's got more of a doe, brown to it, or tan to it. White medical tape really sticks out. Okay, that's just something to think about. You put something on your gear. So whatever it is where you're going to use medical tape is a flag for writing on, make sure it's out of sight, out of mind. I mean, just think about that is like right now outside, I'm looking out the back 40 here, well south 40, and I've got white yellow leaves, I've got green leaves, white just kind of goes, hey, here I am. We're into the bland colors now, we're going into the real bland from the green and you know, rich reflection. and you know, sunlight passing through. See, you get some sparkle or some shimmer here and there. But now you're looking at bland and dull and stuff's dying out. The shade range is very different. Okay, unless you have birch bark or something in your area, white in any big quantity right now is not going to be too useful. White later on for snow camo sure of course we know how that works We can show you enough videos of us in the field with snow camo So you get a real good feel for how things you know work and what you can do with them Mark go ahead call or jump in there. I'd like to make a comment on paper tapes that you just referred to Whenever I use paper tapes for most projects, but not all I will spend a little bit more and I will get what is called a blue line tape. Now yes, it's a bright pretty blue color, but it will, you can put it down, it will seal really well. It's very, very good for fine line painting. It sticks very well, but then it will peel back up for quite a long time. I've had it on inside projects. where it's been on a year, year and a half and I was able to remove it with no problem, with no stickiness, you know, or leaving a sticky film underneath it. Now, for anything tactical, yes, that blue is a bright color, but for application removal, it is an excellent tape to use and it can be colored or painted. Over. Yes, in fact, it's painter's tape. That's the painters, you know guide tape which works really well too. In fact, you can find that sometimes in colors blue is the standard but you can actually find 3M and a couple of other companies they do make other colors. I don't think they're catering to us but every once in a while if you're lucky cross your fingers you might find an area where somebody's got something comparable but more in the tactification range. They won't make any camel, I know that. Oh, I just wanted to mention real quick, in the last two to four days receiving some of the flyers directly from a major surplus, I have noticed on their kind of specials page when they send those emails, there's been a camoed snow type of cape, winter cape. I'm thinking that the price on that was 16 or 17 dollars. You might check on that mark over Major get some of the odds and end stuff from South America and also some unique They've got a couple of unique patterns. You can't find anywhere else. One is that oil dirty oil pattern That somebody finally made up the problem is they don't make any they only make with so many parts of it And in their ponchos and such, they don't carry a lot, but in their snow camel and ponchos, they do find unique items. Part of that is that they're on the west coast, so they have a different batch of suppliers off the docks. Which is one of the reasons I do always watch Major Surplus and Swiss and a couple others, because you never know what they're going to show up with. There was that, matter of fact, good question, Ollie brought that up. Swiss Link burned. I mean, they're a mobile military iron stove, but they're made over season. They look like a little pot belly. You know, the US ones are basically like two cupcake cups. You know, they fit one inside the other, you flip it over and then you clamshell it together. This is more of a pot belly stove and it was, I'm pretty sure it was, I think it was Norwegian. But I think the Swedes and Norwegians in most of this gear, they work back and forth. But it also had the heat dissipation, or should say the thermal box, you know, for extreme cold weather so that you can, so you can leach every last calorie out of the system, it's part of the chimney. And that was all there, and I still haven't called them back. So whoever gets there first, find out, hopefully they didn't scrap them. They might have, would have been an excuse to write them off. But they like you said they get burned out. They're just now coming back with more inventory than they've had But they had nothing left is what it comes down to except maybe those potbelly stoves They're not very big. They're actually again. They're designed for tents not for you know house But they are designed to handle you know wood, and I believe they were coal capable So just a heads up that would be good. Okay, so on other things here communications Antennas I will repeat again. I had another couple of questions in the email category and one from one of the spike sites about little antennas for these Bayfong radios and if you go to if you haven't already seen them do a search go to wish or go to DX.com you can go to eBay I think even of course Amazon those parasites have everything but you go there and find what it is that you need you'll find you have a little the question was about the nub antennas versus the ones that are on there versus the longer whip The nub antenna is going to keep your radio a little more efficient for not snagging and tagging on stuff. One thing about these antennas is they're Chinese sport made. They are going to wear, but I don't know how much anti-IR retardant they put in the chip, in the plastic. I've had of the five, six radios we've really been beating up over the years, two of them I've had to replace the antenna on, not because the antenna itself broke. as far as the wire, okay, the coil, but the little rubbery material on the outside because the gear is left laying around and because the radios were in some cases, you know, like, you know, sitting in the car, in the console, and then back into, you know, like a pocket, or they were back into the field gear. The same brake at the same point where they're close to the body of the radio itself. The plastic first shears perpendicular to the length of the antenna, you know, in other words, it's like, say, four inches long. The parallel, oh, cut, usually goes right around the base of the, where the screw fixture is that the plastic is bonded to. The screw base is metal, okay? What happens is it shears that way, but then it does something else, I've noticed it chips, it kind of flags. It starts to crack parallel with the length of the antenna, one or two spots. wherever the first base crack is, the base split, and then it comes off in little flaggy pieces like chunks of flesh. Okay? We've had this happen a couple times. This is why I've said buy spare antennas. Now, how can you fix that in the field or even if it looks like it's starting to do that? I've already done this myself. Just simple tape of, you know, we were talking about medical tape. You don't want white, it's a shoot me point. But you can use, for instance, a small piece of carved down duct tape that will work fine. Friction tape works. And as comparable material, you can wrap the base just a little. Just not real. Don't do 20, 30, 40 wraps. Just wrap it once or twice. Make sure it overlaps. And if it starts to wear out, peel it off and replace it. Okay, pay attention to your equipment. Don't get lazy. I've seen that happen a lot. In this case, there's nothing you can do to save them if they're going to do what they're going to do. You've got to use the antenna. Now you can, I guess I could do this, it's one of those PM type solutions, you can pre-tape, which is something a lot of people did, there's OD green duct tape, there's camo duct tape, whatever you want. You can pre-tape the base to reinforce it. I don't know how this stuff breaks down as far as if it's a commutation process. So wherever it's exposed, it would probably still start to work the process and the material will. start to go back to nature because that's what happens with everything. Oxidation slash corrosion is simply whatever man-made, processed object you have, it's going back to its original form. It's trying to go back to nature. That is part of entropy. It's just going to happen. How long it takes, you can postpone it, but it is inevitable that things will break down. Things are going to eventually not work. Now, in this case, these are disposable items. They are a replaceable slash perishable category item that you should have spares of in all of your kits anyway. Stuff can get busted bent folded spindle mutilated and the radio doesn't have to be destroyed But it can be just the antenna you somebody steps on stuff is your radios in your gear somebody is jumping to the back of a deuce calling into an APC Bouncing around say just even in a position where you've got your gear off for some reason and they just decided to step up to get out get out of the Trench or Get out of the foxhole or get out of the fortification Guess what? Your gear is a foothold. Well, your antenna was right there in the right spot. And I've seen that happen a lot. Okay, it just happens. It just, you can't, that's why I've said this for years, as long as I've been on the air, buy spare antennas. One of the other things too, China Sport right now, they're cheap. They have come up a little from what they were, say, two years ago. In fact, the prices crept up about probably 30%. But that's still not bad because you get these antennas and bubbles of five or in bubbles of ten or whatever There's different counts and it's I don't know how the Chinese determine that okay? Just it's kind of like the difference between a pack of hot dogs You know a pack of hot dog buns. Why are they not matching right? So, in this case, it works the same with these antennas, but you're going to need spares anyway. Ideally, what I'd recommend is a couple per radio. If you're planning on keeping them in the field anyway, you need to make, just like everything else, progressively little patch kits. Another thing is I have recommended the throat mics, which I do like. I like the throat mics, biggest problem. The cheapy ones the Chinese make, same thing, the flexible plastic. I don't know if it's either sun or if it's reacting to body oils because you're going to be sweaty. If you're not going to be perfectly pristine and smelling like a rose after two or three or five or six or ten days in the field. And you sweat, you get dirty. Sweat, of course, means moisture. Your body oil gets tacky. Dirt and dust collects. The stuff, the units break down, usually right around where the snaps or the Velcro pull through and Velcro latch, you know, hanger is, depending on what model you got. Nothing you can do to save those. I can't think of anything that's going to work because of the nature of what a throat mic does. You probably could tape it in the field. It wouldn't last very long. If you've seen what I'm talking about, it's a clear, typically the throat mics, the ones that are the most common ones, are kind of a clear, not, they're still a vinyl almost is what they feel like, but I doubt that they're vinyl because the vinyl would last longer. So whatever polymer that the Chinese have chosen to use, it does work. I would say, again, a couple of backups would be good. I also like the boom mics for other missions. It varies. I don't like the double earmuff systems. I don't. And I'll tell you why, because I'm used to it, in fact, having worked in aviation. I check out the single mic boom, you know, boom mic, you know, earpiece combination where you just have the harp that comes over and I still have the right ear exposed. There's a reason for that. I wasn't a pilot. I was, my secondary MOS was an air crewman. So, I don't need to necessarily, I don't need to focus 100% on flight operations. If you're working as an air crew, when you're working around the team, and you may need to hear what's going on around you in terms of the equipment, you know, it can be the aircraft, it can be the cargo, it can be the people that are screaming and hurt because you didn't know something went wrong. And they're not carrying headsets, they're just sitting there in their troop seat waiting to do something. I like the idea that I have the option to go both ways and my brain can work well enough and yours can too that you can sort out the sounds. But the big advantage is that again, you have the ear set, left or right, whichever you choose, because usually they're mono-optional. You can swing the mic around, use it in your right ear and leave your left ear exposed or vice versa. Okay? Whichever you choose to do. I like it on the left side. Right side is for area observation by ear. Okay? You don't see that much in the way of reasonably priced when you're talking mil-spec, but then again it is mil-spec as in they've spent more money and basically they've slimmed everything up a little bit. Some, okay, depending on the technology, you accommodate the new Kevlar, the new ballistic helmets of the many different types that are out there. I personally like to try and find a system that will work with the old Pascat, slash most of the helmets that are the most common that we're going to run into and or the US piss pot. Remember again, it still does need to be flush, so it's kind of nice that they do make those. That means less likely you're going to ding and ding and create this where your helmet keeps tapping the headset and it commutes through the microphone and you get all kinds of other hash and noise you don't want. Now, of course, some of you got those as gifts with a drawing, in addition to many, many, many, many other things. So just a heads up there. Let's see, real quick, there was also a mention during the last hour about major surplus, the snow poncho. Well, they still have the South American Camel Poncho, $16.95, and they have the snow poncho for $14.95 marked down right now. That's $15 for one, and $17 for the other. Now, why am I keep mentioning the South American Poncho? Because of the camel pattern. I like this because for, let's say, wet winter, which most of our winter here is wet, we get a little dry in the middle, but we get damp otherwise. You throw that snow camel over top of the South American camel pattern. And if it bleeds through or if it leaks out while you're moving, it looks like this like snow over top of the typical ground cover, you know, net grasses, you know, etc. tree bark, that kind of thing. So it's a good combination. And anytime we can get a breakup camo pattern of any kind, try to do that. Now this is an interesting pattern. The green is a loam green or green gray base. Then it has like a medium coyote brown, then a dark brown, and then it has rock splinters. Rock cross eyes, so to speak. And the pattern works pretty well, to be quite honest. Now, it's a little light still this time of year because we got a little more green, but it would work, and it would still work, to disrupt your basic overall image. There's only one item on the second page and that's the snow camo poncho. It's the German pine frond. We've used those for years. I've made a bunch of those. That actually is not a hard pattern to duplicate. So if you have other snow camo and you want to match everything up, you can actually use either sharpies or you can use a writ dye and a paint brush to get the same brush paint, you know, pine frond effect that you see on the German splinter type which is Again, let me see if there's any better price and quantity on those I'll get there eventually Sometimes with major surplus like several these companies if you buy more than one You actually get a little bit of a deal. So I don't know if they're doing that with these Let's see if they do because 1495 is what they're asking right now. Of course, we're heading into the winter season. The middle of winter, middle of summer, it would have been even cheaper. Now, somebody's going to ask me again a question. I'm going to put it out on the air first before we go any farther. The back of the poncho is longer than the front of the poncho. Yes. Why would that be? Why would they do that, guys? Why would the back of the poncho in the snow camel be longer in the back than in the front? because you're typically wearing field gear and you are wearing a backpack and the poncho goes over everything and covers the whole of your system that way and then still it keeps it up out of the snow because otherwise with the drape the way that it is it's not gonna hurt you or anything but it drops all the way down to right to the back of your boots at least like you see in the picture of the guy here in the image But if you have a standard Alice type or a medium sized backpack on or an archy pack on, then guess what? When you throw that snow poncho over everything, it's not going to be hanging so low in the back because it's got to go over that ledge and then drape down. See how that works? Anyway, let's see, next, on communications, I will remind everybody that over at colmans.com, one more thing here, I've mentioned these several times, I don't know how many they have left, we already picked up 14 of these from Colmans. I don't know if they should still have some. I actually have not asked if they have any of the inventory left, so you're going to have to give them a call, as long as they show them posted on Coleman's, they typically have them in stock. Now the bad part is they do still post things that they'll probably never get in stock again. But it's just the way they are. I don't know what it is. There's stuff that they've been out of for longer than I can remember. Okay, I don't even know when they ran out. It's been that long. But for that reason, if you go over to Colman's dot com, and let's see if I just put check radio in there, I should get, but I'm gonna get what I want right there. And the Czech Military RF-10 radio, it's $149.95, this is a complete package. They did have these marked down, somebody's going to say that as soon as I mention it. But these are a bundle radio that came in with one wholesaler. I was there when they came in out of the container down in Georgia. And this is a complete system, it has batteries, headsets, antenna wire, everything is kitted out and it is in its own carry bag. And then the carry bag of course is inside a styrofoam storage box. Everything has its place. If you are smart, you will maintain this the way it is. Somebody already came up with a good idea. Gee, the Czech soldiers used this and they were able to keep this pretty well intact. You should too, unless you're totally incompetent. But the neat thing about this is that you do have a self-contained system. and these work 44.000 to 53.975 MHz 400 channels total not a bad little radio again it is a tactical radio it is not designed to talk to the planet this is a point to point combat communication system now the checks did not do badly with electronics Though they were limited in the Warsaw Pact and usually had one or two dominant countries doing most of the signal communications work as far as the hardware for the rest of the alliance back in the day. Now they also did buy out of country and if they did they usually went to South Asia, Southeast Asia. for the products so it varied and of course there were a lot of allies remember Vietnam went from being North and South Vietnam to all communist Vietnam a lot of other countries in Asia don't care who the hell they were selling to they'd sell to anybody so the Czech took advantage of that just like we did and anybody else out there and a lot of the equipment is state-of-the-art for the day Now, are there radios that surpass these pieces of equipment? Yeah, to a degree. But this type of radio is built to be, first of all, it was ruggedized, something that a lot of your private radios are not. It also is set up with all of the other accoutrements and tidbits and goodies that if you pay attention, know what you're doing. You've got everything you need as an RO to be able to press that signal. You can reach far beyond what is considered to be the normal limited range of the equipment. Now it's interesting, by the way, here it says, produced by Tesla Company for the Czech military in the 1970s, this radio was ahead of its time. The radio was used for all levels of communication with vehicles in the field and at company levels. All components come packed in the Styrofoam box. It slides into a rubber water resistant case. Radio and instructions are all written in check, but there is much information scattered throughout the web, including a complete translated copy of the manuals, by the way. I didn't mention that. You can print out or you can get on disk, whatever you want to do. I'd still obviously print them out, and depending on how serious you are, I'd also laminate each page. I'd actually build a laminate manual for it, which is what a lot of the guys have already done. Used good condition. These radios, they've not tested them, but I do know that when these came in, they had prep sheets for each one of them showing that they had just been gone through by the Czech military. And you'll probably find some of that in these that just that most people don't know what they're looking at. So, again, this over at Colmans.com, Colmans.com, check military RF10 radio. Not the fanciest piece of equipment on the planet, but it is useful and they do work. They are another solution. I would point out that again, There are a few other things that you can add to this technology that are actually Warsaw Pact add-ons that are showing up in other circles. I have not checked, although Fair Radio did have a few of these and some other add-on boxes, add-on tech, whether or not that was Scramble slash single operational security modules. I don't know. I'd really look that closely. But... The company that brought these in pretty well came in, brought them all in just like they did the HK91 slash G3 mags. One company brought all of them in that you guys buy. I mean just literally warehouses full in one sweep. So let's see next, I want to touch on that because the price is right on those and again that is over at one more time. Make sure I get that right. That is over at Coleman's dot com. It is Czech Military RF10 Radio. The SKU number is 508-301. That's 508-301. And that is over at coldmans.com. Next, I got that and I touched on that to make sure. Now that is, yes, somebody that could be easily set up as a... backpack radio using what I would use as a molly brap molly frame just like we've talked about before I would use a small Molly back about backpack or a fanny pack as a small lower bag or as a secondary bag in fact we use two of the smaller bags and one would be for the radio and all of the other accoutrements the other would be your personal gear remember that's how the old PRC 77 rig was set up You had the radio up above and you had the standard M1956 3-day pack slash, you know, everybody calls them butt packs or fanny packs. The fanny pack hooks right up on the standard gear. In fact, it has a duplicate hanger system, the same as if it was going on your TA56 gear. And that's where you would, once you had the fanny pack on there, you can add other pouches left and right. Plus, there were stations and hanger points on the rest of the pack. for the PRC-77, you just mimic that on a MOLLE frame. MOLLE is the cheapest right now. You might find some Alice-packed frames for a good price, but one nice thing about the MOLLE frames is they're plastic. So if the antenna touches anything, it's not really going to ground it out. Whereas with the metal you can knock out the signal if you want to pay attention. Not likely because you typically are going to have all kinds of junk on the frame. If you do use an Alice frame, you use a backboard on top of the Alice frame to fixture everything else, to attach everything. You make that out of polymer, you can make that out of plywood. And either one would work. And plywood works just as well and there's nothing wrong with it. Nothing, it doesn't be all that thick in fact basically what quarter-inch ply Marine ply would be great if you can afford it if you're gonna do multiple radio packs Why not buy one pant one sheet of? Marine quarter-inch marine plywood and use that as the foundation for your backpack board and you have that affixed to your Teeth of the molly or to the Alice pant packs if you're gonna do that it'll work out just fine anyway, we are Gradually headed to the top, we've got another 13, 14 minutes. Mark? Go ahead, caller, jump in there please. Mark, I have a quick update on Swiss Link if you're interested. Oh, go right ahead, please. Yes. Yeah, I was just able to get through to Julie and once again we're referencing Swiss Link. a surplus company on the west coast in California who was tragically affected by fires in Paradise, what about a year ago? Something like that. Anyway, what Julie just told me, and I've not been in communication with them for quite some time since those fires. She told me that they actually were up and running within about a month after the fires. And at this particular point here, that they're looking pretty good, that they've gotten quite a bit of inventory back in stock, and they're continually ordering and getting new items in stock. So Mark, from time to time, if you can mention SwissLink, I know that it could possibly surely be helpful to them in their efforts at this particular point in where they're at. help them continue to go on and purchase more items for us to have available. Now, on those wood burning stoves that you were referring to earlier through SwissLink, those actually, I've got it pulled up here. Now, I'm going to have to put this out first. They're sold out. But who knows maybe they could come up again, but they're very very very interesting I've almost forgotten about these, but these actually what they've got listed here Wood burning Czech Army cast iron stove now they've had a an original USD price on that at $4.99.99 But they scratched through that And they were were when they were offering them and still had them at $1.99.99 and a very very very interesting stove very very interesting wait on it is interesting about 255 pounds. Over. Yeah, it's a chunk. It was going to be truck freighted. That's what you'd probably be doing with it. I mean, UPS guy would have hemorrhoids by the time he's done it, if he bought two. So, yeah, truck freight would be the most likely direction to go. And one of the other things about Swiss is, again, they're on the west coast over the mountains. So for a lot of you guys that are listening, like in Washington State or a gun in California, It's a lot more affordable to actually deal with them just like Major Surplus. The big thing is, actually, more affordable for you than us, typically because they don't really have any special shipping deals and they're all the way over the mountain. So that big chunk of rock, you know, the Rockies, changes the price. Just a heads up. Now, it depends on what you buy. Some things aren't so extreme, but... If you're on the left coast, it behooves you to know who these people are because your costs will be brought down quite a bit. In reverse order, a lot of the people I know that are like in Oregon and Washington that have dealt with the companies that we deal with, the neat thing is I also do try to find companies that either offer a free shipping at some level or a discount depending upon, especially if we find deal of the month, deal of the week, whatever it is. But again, each one of these companies offer different products because they have different people running them, but they also have, in some cases, which is typical of the surplus industry, they have a niche. They have something that's their forte, it's their specialty, it's what they do. And so that's something to take into consideration and think about. One of the time comes go ahead call mark. I want to mention one thing real quick here excuse me With Swiss link as I was scrolling out there. I noticed one of the things they have some very unique items for instance on the the European way via that way the end fuel cans Which come in I think five two and a half one and a quarter and there might even be a smaller one Wavy in top of the line I believe in the last 15 years any wavy and cans it is going to come into our hands in us It's going to be made in Latvia very very high quality some of the finest fuel cans that are out there They actually, I saw that they had Swiss Link listed replacement fuel, wavian fuel can, lids or caps. I do not know of another source in the US for something like that. Over. Yeah, as a matter of fact, they've been carrying the whole line. They've got them also color-coded, which is not critical, but it's nice. I mean, they have them in the greens, you know, the blue for kerosene, the different color codes for whatever it is you might have in the way of, you know, restrictions. California is especially, you know, retentive, as we know, for that kind of thing, because they've got little, you know, spies everywhere, so to speak. The neat thing is that the cans themselves, this is a standard NATO can. And it's actually been built since before World War II. It's a German pattern, the one that they're using. And it's actually quite efficient. The big thing again, you'll probably need replacement spouts. They make several different models. One is a aftermarket knockoff that works. But the hesitancy, because it is pop metal, if you leave it out, it does rust. That's going to happen. But the cans themselves are more than serviceable enough and want to give another coat of paint Give them two or three more coats of paint won't hurt a thing That'll help to stretch out the lifespan of any of your fuel cans. It's just same with your ammo cans Don't be afraid to put another coat of paint on them any color or camouflage them take your pick do a base color of green brown or you know gray and then camouflage Accordingly, you know to add more colors over top of that and you're adding more paint. It's that simple So that works pretty well for you. Another thing about Swiss is they do have bundle deals for stuff they've picked out of the off the trucks, off of the, forget me, out of the containers. They either get stuff that is not standard. It gets part of what is used, as I mentioned many times, for packing. They got a space, they shovel stuff in there, they shove stuff in it, and of course when they open up the can, all the stuff starts to come out and it's like, wait a minute, that's not something we ordered. Well, they pull that off to the side and they put them in bins. Now, after a while, they fill up the bins and you can make a deal on those. So it's a personal flavor choice thing. So if anybody's out there, and especially like I said, where you really would save is if you're on the West Coast. If you're out there in the Rockies or the West Coast, If you talk to them, they'll tell you, they'll send you an email with the information and what they have available as far as the poles like that or the clearance stuff. And it'll be everything and anything. You're not going to get the cherry pickets. It's a bin. They pull it out of the truck. They throw the stuff in the bin. When they fill that bin up, they get another bin. They throw everything in there until that's full. I've gotten camouflage, clothing, wet weather gear, socks. Romanian fire helmets, you know, all kinds of stuff, anything you can think of. And the neat thing is though, of course, we did this with a couple of the standoffs, we bought bundles like that. And I had them truck shipped right to the door when they had the Oregon standoff, shipped four pallet bins of gear from Swiss directly to one of the militia units there. And we made a deal. Now they were wondering, what will this do? It's like, it's your job. I already, you know what, here's what really pisses me off. It's like everybody expects this. I told them, I said, this is going to be a grab bag of stuff. You guys got to go through it. It will all be usable. And what's funny is you have somebody who was trying to create a problem. So this person called up, what are those funny helmets? Why were those funny helmets in there? How about because, first of all, who are you and why are you calling me? Number one. But number two is anybody who I already talked to already knows that whatever's in the box is in the box. Well, one of the things that showed up is there were some of those funny Romanian fire helmets in there, which by the way are actual collector's items. And like I told them, I said, how about you do a hearts and minds thing and donate one or two to each of the little volunteer fire departments. It's something they'll never see again. Fireman would be interested in it, the average person wanted it. But what it was, is a little backstabbing rat was trying to, you know, stir the pot and go, you shouldn't see stupid things nobody's gonna use. And it's like, they weren't out anything. We covered the cost at our end as part of the donation process, but we still had these little peckerhood backstabbing rat pieces of trash trying to stir the pot to create conflict between everybody. Just a little heads up. That's the kind of stuff I deal with all the time. Now mind you all the rest of the gear was for instance, let's see multi cam DPM British camo Windlass coats wet weather gear Combat boots winter gloves I don't know how many dozens of pairs of with this and so many sets of that and there were four bins full of stuff But the little rat bugger probably fed the snitch was trying to get something going. And this happens with every one of the actions we've seen. And that's how you can pick out who the trash are. Because they'll try to do a side bite like this and then they'll misrepresent or misrepeat. Or they'll just be pissied for the sake of trying to create conflict. Watch for those people. Seriously. But again, Swiss Lincoln and a lot of the other companies like that do that and we've taken advantage of it. You might remember if you guys were with the standoff down there with the Mondays, I did the same thing. We shipped eight pallets of, eight pallet bins of material down there. And then they grossly mismanaged what it is that we sent because I got an after action report for some of the people on site and it's like, yeah, your stuff showed up. They just chucked it over in a tent. Nobody even, everybody was too busy. parading around to worry about actually doing the dirty work of managing the site. Now, am I complaining about it? No, but I understand I do know what's going on, contrary to what you might think. And a little heads up is that this gear was all regular military equipment, not aftermarket gear. But all regular military equipment. Then we also did routing and material through other routes too. And again, I've told you this a million times, guys, when you have a situation like that, you send material support. You don't just send cash, you send material support. That shows that you're a little more motivated, shall we say. The bad guy sends a message to the other side that you're actually like really into the fight. Not just throwing money at the problem and then I can forget it and go on with oh look tasty freeze. Oh look oh Look at the grouse just little heads up so anyway watch for deals This is why I've always said with deals We've actually outfitted whole platoons and or companies with equipment using this technique and many others like it and you'll end up with good gear, spare gear, which is the most common thing most of you can afford. I would point out all the rain gear that we did ship, I can't get now, not for the prices we did then. In just in the last couple of years, in the last few years, with some of the stuff that's changed, Surplus has gone stupid price at the jobber end, guys. And the importers are complaining, of course, for the same reason, but also a lot of the people that supply you. That's why the prices have crept up the way they did. And then with China Sport jacking their prices up, just like you're seeing a lot of other stuff, well guess what? It's becoming a stupid price. And in many cases, the reason you're not seeing it with the, for instance, the regular retailers, is because they feel they can't afford to carry it. It consumes too much of their capital. And so they carry either a limited or they don't carry the item at all anymore. The skimming organization unlawfully obtained victim's account holders debit card account information by using advanced technology devices to surreptitiously record the debit card numbers and personal identification numbers of automatic teller machines, ATM. not to be confused with American taxpayers' money, and then manufacturing counterfeit and fraudulent debit cards that bore the victim account holders' account information. The skimming organization members then used those cards to fraudulently withdraw cash from victims' bank accounts. Certain of the defendants directed or worked in teaming with the skimming organization, deployed across the United States in order to carry out an ATM skimming attack, Casing ideal locations for the attacks, installing skimming devices on ATMs, removing those devices, and cashing out large numbers of fraudulent debit card manufactured a result of the skimming. And you want to help start collecting valuable information and collecting intelligence and information on that might not have been available elsewhere. And the type of information being conclude captured medical order of battle or medical supplies and documents through the battlefield recovery and from any indigenous sources. And you also want to consider the conducting the initial medical area assessment having to do with the physical condition and the morale of your group, the medical status of the guerrilla forces that are already there, and identification of any immediate threats to the health of the command to include epidemics and any environmental conditions, weather, terrain, and the lack of sanitation, the food, and the water problems. if you recall back in when the Bundy's had set up there in Harney County that they didn't take any consideration of the weather and being that it was in January I guess they fell asleep in class when they found out that oh lo and behold in the northern parts of the United States in January it gets quite cold So then we have to make a YouTube video, ask them for people to send us socks and warm clothing and energy drinks because we're freezing our butts off up here almost to the Canadian border. And then you want to describe these groups endurance and their ability to carry heavy loads while performing physical labor and determine if they need more physical training. You want to also describe the clothing. the shoes or the foot gear that's worn also describe the their attitudes of you know their life expectancy and how they view things about birth and puberty marriage old-age sickness death and also want to consider any rituals associated with those events and to describe any principal taboos especially about food animals and water. You know, certain places in the world or certain places in the country where you have certain people that have come from other countries, they have, you know, they might not eat cows, they might not eat chickens, but they might eat dogs. So, you know, you might just want to be up to speed on what those things are going. Also, you want to kind of pay attention to the to the organization, whether it's in the city or a small village or just in the rural area of what are the status and how these people look upon their religious leaders and any community leaders and what is the relationship with the people. The family organization, the religion, described any of the religion beliefs. Are they Buddhist, Hindus, Christians? I don't know. Mormons, Muslims, however it is. What do they worship, whether it's the sun, the moon, or inanimate objects? And what role do the good and the evil spirits play? And our sicknesses, deaths, and births ascribe to evil practices, the housing, this construction, and the materials used talk about any infestations. and the vermin and how the people inhabit a dwelling. Are they communal houses? Are the animals housed in the same dwelling? And if possible, to provide photos and the diagrams of this. And then we want to assess the food, the normal native diet. Any agricultural practices such as slash and burn or permanent farms is human excrement used as fertilizer and what domestic crops contribute significantly to the diet. You also want to examine the water, the waste disposal, and the fauna of what's to record the species. of the wild animals, the birds, the reptiles, and the arthropods found in the area around your campsites and in the specific villages. And if their names are unknown, you might want to take pictures of them, describe them, sketch them. And then you want to note the relationship amongst the species, including the burrows and the nesting sites, the human habitation, the food supplies, and their watering sites. And you'll also want to note the occurrence of dead or dying animals, especially if they involve large numbers of a given species. And then they note the relationship of any die-off to the occurrence of any human disease. And you'll also want to report any message used by the indigenous people to defend against local issues of let's see, oh you know like in some places where you may have swampy country or you might have leeches or something and how effective are the indigenous peoples methods compared to any standard US protective measures like by using insect repellent. I know like over in Vietnam they would light a cigarette and touch that on the back of the leech and that would cause it to release its grip, but if you would just try to pull the leech off that it would cause a pretty good infection. So if you have any ability to do so, you best be stocking up and getting ready for what's coming. Cities are going to go nuts when the food starts getting closed down. A, somebody files a, it's basically a statement of accounting, and what you demand is that they do a points check, an actual court guide, a court controlled, points check on a case for your federal guidelines because there's no there's not a whole lot of leeway that's that's where you see a lot of this dribble where they get the feds get caught and they usually why people get overturned and thrown out of court out of jail quite a bit is because they exceed the guidelines which were established by the Fed way back in the 90s. And of course there were two updates. I've talked about this, it's been a few years, more than a few years since I've talked about it on the air, but there are two benchmark eras. In one, they changed the guidelines so that most of the states started to really get abusive with the sentencing. So they had to refurbish the whole guidelines for sentencing federally and there's a point system and plus there's a whole numerical code. So all the states have signed into it, all the counties have signed into it. And what happens is arbitrary and capricious activity based on the prostitute or sleeping in bed, you know, usually male to male, you know, poofdas, the judge and the prostitute are working together as, you know, look, the poofdas that they are to screw whoever it is they're attacking. based on political prisoners, you know, status basically is where it comes down. And in this case, they exceeded the guidelines, so now what they're having to do is they're, if somebody is forced to review, they don't really get into the detail, but I can imagine somebody finally filed the right paperwork if they really made the effort. It may even be the Browns from inside. But once you force a recounting, Then they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar and there's a whole bunch of charges that can be filed against the judge and the prosecutor. So what they'll do is they'll scramble to come back into court. They will reshuffle the numbers and in many cases they have to eject you out the door. It's to the point where it's so this is serious enough because of what it will cost the state and the Fed. The numbers are already written in stone. Back in 04, they ejected thousands of prisoners in Michigan, thousands of prisoners in Ohio, thousands of prisoners based on a readjustment of the sentencing guidelines. So it can either happen as an individual or it can happen because of an overturning what has been an ongoing battle. They'll have the people incarcerated for a period of time, but it exceeds or it's in excess of what is considered the norm and it also what it does is it totally changes the way that the the sentencing numbers are indexed and it slides everything down the scale to lower numbers. Think of it that way, it kind of changes the whole scale instead of it being you know because once they can double for instance they can double your sentencing they slide it to a different prefix and this in turn means you know so many dozens and dozens of months. They never count it in years it's always in months okay. So you have like 184 months or 216 months or 344 months. We'll add that up. Basically, you're not going to live that long in most cases. Go ahead. When you're adding up the points, is this just a courtroom thing? Or with the speed applicable to what you said, the guidelines? the courtroom guidelines and the things that they have to, the rules and the procedures that they have to solve. No, this, well, the sentencing guidelines are very, very strict. In fact, it's a math table that they must conform to. Now, it's like I said, what'll happen is they baffle everybody with BSL, just ramrod stuff through, and then it'd get it overturned later, but their logic is that they still get to punish you, even though they may not have even been allowed to put you into jail. you don't qualify. Example, if you have no background, no points, nothing in the system, even if it's a higher charge, typically the guidelines are set in such a way that they can't incarcerate you. They have to give you uh... probation or whatever it varies depending upon obviously the charge if you murdered twenty five or thirty people enough uh... i don't miss any spree uh... part of what's tied into that is the level of violence of the crime that part of the math formula uh... in this case they had no you know they they they had no justification for for the level that they did but they always do this especially with that the iris tied in because it's a fed money scam So they're always trying to terrorize the population when there's a situation where people are backing down the Fed, especially with the rape, kill, pillage, and burn money crew. And that's what they did here, I guarantee it. They grossly overstated the numbers. The judge ignored the guidelines. Know that if somebody's making the effort, sometimes, again, the wink of the nod from that lawyer who works in that court, he wants to go golfing with the judge next week. He doesn't want to piss the judge off. So they're not going to challenge the fact that the numbers, you know, grossly exceed the guidelines of the, you know, of the federal guidelines for the incidents involved. Now a lot of times, and this is why I said it, could be the Browns or somebody working with the Browns in the prison system because I did a lot of this work. This is the kind of stuff I did, you know, over and over and over again where we would challenge the sentencing guy, you know, the sentencing to force it to conform to the guidelines. or we would sue them because of missing evidence, overturned cases because the cops steal from the evidence room nonstop. I'm to the point on that where I always laugh when you watch these BS programs on television. Guys, it's a sieve. The cops can walk in any time. The cop that's running it is usually some guy who got shot or got hurt or he's stuck in the property room for a while. They walk in and sticky finger stuff constantly. If it's guns, money, or drugs, the cops typically steal it and sell it back on the street or take it home for their own collection or use. That's especially true, I've seen in what are fake gun charges or gun charges. And I've won many, many cases or helped to be, I know I've done the final paperwork that actually has tipped the edge in situations where stuff just disappeared from the property room before the trial, but they just went ahead anyway. Now how could it disappear from the property room? Who runs the property room? The cops. So there's another example of Twisted Sister slash perversion on the part of the injustice system. Why I have no faith in it whatsoever. In fact, how can you tell when they're lying? It's typically when their mouth's moving. And in this case, you know, it's Probably somebody internally working with them. You got nothing but time. You either treat it like a monastery or act like an idiot goof. Most of the inner-city fools act like idiot goofs unless they have an epiphany and realize they better get their act together if they want to breathe fresh hair again. Otherwise, the smarter person is sitting down and immediately looking at the problem, but now you've got 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and this is all you do. So, and the other thing is people share, okay, they share court information. So you have a monastery full of monks who study this farcical admiralty law, but they all understand and can dance on one leg and rub their tummy and blink their eyes alternately and do a better job than the lawyers do. Because you have nothing but that to do before you. It's just center of universe, not going to be distracted by television games, snowmobiling, skiing, anything. you're stuck in the monastery. So that's probably what happened here is what I'm thinking because it's been such a long time since we the People Radio Network was up and in this case a lot of people should remember the Browns, a lot of people showed up to show support. uh... the feds of course had to drag it out because they didn't they they knew it would become another way co co coz people are just not have been on the edge for a long time anyway something will kick it off and most nobody will cry about a bunch of dead irs agents or dead you know whatever did dead fed are not going to be cried over when this thing happens the the only ones we do another the alligator tears from the fakes like you see with this whole garbage with the demicons and you know the fake uh... death of all Bingo Bango slash Ben Waddiwagi. Once these parasites get their eyes set out a piece of property they want to steal, you've got to understand that the IRS swine get 10 percent. Because that's the war booty prize, because they are agents of a foreign power operating against the American people inside the United States. They're privateers, they're pirates. And they know they're pirates. You're just not supposed to figure it out, that's all. anything else jump in their car or am sorry please uh... no it's just kind of wondering if that was about procedure that applicable to what we saw going on well it is a lot sobering that platform yet a little different in that respect yeah i think you're saying okay i'm sorry that no in in this case they don't have much leeway The sentencing guidelines, it's purely, it's the arbitrary action of the part of the judge in his court to fail to conform under the logic that either A, he's going to tell everybody to shut up, or he figures, well, piss on it, what are they going to do to me if they find me, find that I did it wrong? You know what they do? Nothing. The UNI pay compensation because they can sue the state or the Fed for wrongful incarceration. This is one of the reasons when like in 04 they had to release all those people. They had to have them out in hours. And they have like the moment that they made the announcement that they changed the law. This is so ironclad that the clock starts ticking. They're given so many, you know, so much time and they have to immediately release the prisoners. Well, example is up at Chippewa facility, they had 109 prisoners in one prison alone. Now you got to remember there's 53 prisons in Michigan. Ohio is like 48 I think, 48 prisons now. We only used to have 3. We used to have 3 in Michigan, used to have 3, 4 state prisons in Ohio. Now there's well over almost half a century so to speak. In other words, 48 to 53, 55 right around there for each of the states in the Midwest. Well just in one lock up facility where only one person did all the paperwork, That woman had to have 103, 104, 105 people out the door immediately. And every day it's tens of thousands of dollars with wrongful incarceration and there is no waiting time because the date of repatriation has already been set. That's how ironclad this is. And you don't have to wait seven, eight, nine years to win your court case. Once they've been exonerated, you're holding a person wrongfully and beyond a shadow of a doubt because the prison bond is invalidated. And that's the thing that they're terrified of because they don't have the instrument to, in any way, shape, or form, keep you. So the problem they had is they had to bring all these other people in to do the paperwork simultaneously for over 100 people to eject them out the door as quickly as they possibly could. And this times however many locations around the country. Whereas like what you see with the shenanigans going on with the demicons, that's arbitrary. It's an arbitrary action because they really haven't established nor do they want to establish a bona fide standard for their activities. There's enough variance that has been allowed because the procedure was supposed to be established as true like you said kind of like the others the guidelines for the court well this post to the guidelines for the senate guidelines for the house and they really are down on paper but uh... for more and more with the scoreless and again you'll legitimate disowned as people we have both the republic red demicum party they do this at their conventions they show just how how how little honor integrity they have where arbitrarily they follow one rule but then totally change other rules on the fly as they go with them there are no rules And what they do there reflects exactly how they're operating inside our government where there really are rules they're supposed to be following. That's where our problem is. Watch their actions. What action you see amongst their own is exactly what they're doing amongst us all. And in this case with the Browns, it's much more rigid. It is a standard that must be met. and it has specific and dire consequences in the event that they are malfeasant in the execution of their action. So that's why they're religious about moving to get it done once they get it, once they're ordered to do so. On the government end, like you see with the Senate and the House, they're, who punishes them anymore? We don't come out and hang them. We don't go out and ban them like we should or pitchfork them. So they're... I think the Philippines have it right. I think with the Philippines, the President said, that he would like it lawful for, and it may be lawful now, for the private citizen to shoot without killing the public official. Yeah, you caught that in the Philippines, right? Yeah. Now remember, you could not kill him. You could shoot him to hurt him badly, but you must not kill him and you will get paid for it.
