God will break Israel's stubborn will during this time, as well as those who are alive during the tribulation. The six goals mentioned are as follows. One, to finish Israel's transgression. Two, to put an end to sin across the board. Three, attune for wickedness. Four, establish everlasting righteousness. Five, seal up vision and prophecy. Six, anoint the Most Holy. This is where Israel's sin of disobedience will be brought to an end when she repents and turns to Christ. God will put an end to Israel's sin and Israel will atone for her wickedness that she has caused throughout the ages. Because of the previous Israel will be able to enter into the Messianic Kingdom at this time. And at this time, all that God spoke through the prophets and all through the ages and all that God declared that he would do will have been accomplished, whereupon closing the book, so to speak, on all that was remaining of the prophecies and the visions that had gone unfulfilled up to that time. For now, they will be fulfilled at this point. and they will be sealed for having been realized where the anointing of the Most Holy now commences the dedication of the Most Holy place in the Millennial Temple. And this is described in Ezekiel, chapters 41 through 46. Or the anointing of the Most Holy could refer to the Most Holy One, which is Jesus Christ, whichever friends remains to be seen. I trust that you will be there to find out. I know I will. I hope you will be also. This brings us to the personalities which will be seen during the Tribulation. Many of which most everyone has heard of. And a few which may or may not have been aware of. But we'll focus on four. The Antichrist. Just who is he? And why is he called the Antichrist? It's kind of an odd name. and other attributes of him will be considered. Next, the false prophet. Why is he called this? And what does he do? And then there's the 144,000. Friends, much has been written about this group too. And we'll look into them and see what scripture has to refer to them as. And then there's the two witnesses. Who are they and what are they witnesses to? We will see As best we can with what we have to work with with Scripture for they are not wholly identified, at least both of them, but there is a lot of good indications that point in certain directions and we will just cover that as well. With our remaining time let's get started on our examination of the man who is called the Antichrist. Of course everybody knows that God and Satan are the key personalities But beyond this, the most evil and most recognized individual is the Antichrist. Although scripture refers to only once to him as such, the Antichrist, in 1 John 2 verse 18, he has a number of other titles which reveal much about who he is as well. 1 John 2 verse 18 reads, Little Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard, that the Antichrist is coming. Even now, many Antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. The Antichrist title also gives us an idea as to the character and intentions of this particular rascal. Anti is a Greek pre-proposition which carries the idea of opposition. Also, it can be used as the idea of, in place of, or that of being a substitute for. All these are correct in this situation, for this individual is most definitely opposed to the Lord Jesus Christ, and he seeks to take his place. So much so that he attempts to duplicate everything there is that Jesus Christ has done down to a T. The Antichrist appears out of nowhere, with all the world's answers to every crisis. He performs miracles, or what appears to be. Although it is no more than satanic supernatural happenings, he then arises from a mortal wound, giving the illusion of a resurrection. Sound familiar? Also he aligns an unholy trinity which he consists of a part of, which is Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet. The Antichrist is the Great Deceiver, second only to Satan himself. At one point in time, we believe that it is Satan who enters the body of the killed or mortally wounded Antichrist and resurrects his body. 2 Thessalonians 2, verse 3 calls him, the man of sin and also the son of perdition. Let's read that verse. 2 Thessalonians 2, verse 3 reads, Let no one deceive you by any means. For that day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition." The son of perdition means ruin or hell. Friends, we are seeing the falling away today and have been seeing it and witnessing it for quite some time now. The falling away.
