His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, We fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. Preserve our great republic and each God-given right And pray to God to torture freedom burning bright As Iowoc he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came His words were true, not free But we have ourselves to blame For even now as tyrants trample each God-given right We only watch and tremble, too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Is this still the land of the free? October, it is the tenth year of open Fabian, socialist and Soviet social- No, these don't. Uh, the multicam look more like satellites, all the rest of us. Let them get caught in trouble with all the nice stuff, stuff we got from the resale star. and then I tell ya, it's all fine silk, it's all fine linen, and the premium is gonna read. It'd be one thing to see if you take out the water on ships where these ships are located. Remember, you can run them down. Most of the new ones, little her, the average thing that's weapons related should be put. Actually, forget about that. Rather than sitting there and fretting about what is going on back with that one, that's why, again, water purification, that's why, again, if you can, wherever you're deploying, have it deploy end of the month, goal is the right one. That's that we, again, get the propation there, everybody. Also, for those of you that have stuff in the mail, if you could get you a, if, when, hopefully, you get your, uh, send me an email at libertythingsintheboxes.com. That's just a really cool thing here. And typically there's a particular thing. One of these that I highly recommend is, again, um, go to resale stores and watch for unpretty glow, selling them as a brand new. That's why they're costing for a little less. They don't come when they are, they went to their version of the Kevlar and their green weenie uniforms too, that they're smog- to utilize the equipment you're getting if it's all strand. Everything else pretty well mimics up our little under eight in a certain way from an Einfran snow can. Then out and did some math. Cool idea. Remember that pond, although it's not real core. And up on that poncho so that you might want to look at the oxygen in a space. Now more than ever, taking the time in those out in the field cold weather, multi-layered, something we are typically with what would be siege. That's what the occupied territories. Is this still the land of the free? And again I say thank you. I heard some voices in the background recognize that voice Thank you. And again everybody else is I yield to you mark stand down for a while, this would be sitting underneath you to seal that. Don, Jim from Illinois, keep you in my meditations and prayers, buddy. We'll see. And again, everybody else. I'm gonna mark. You can stick multiples, no matter what. Even wool glove liners, although I know a lot of guys have used whatever they can get there, if you're moving, you put them down, shedding calories when you want it to. Well, we don't want that in a cold. Can I try to heat it up under my armpits or... Then guess what? I need to make sure it's contained. So those Ziploc bags, you don't just get chucked in. You never drop them anyway out there or bang in the middle of nowhere and you leave man. Probably an indication there are hoomans nearby. And if you don't want people to hunt you, you don't want to leave Teltia that, you know, man's the energy that you've got. There are as many pairs as I possibly can. In the military, they got socks the same way. Now here's another rule. Do not one boot off and then relace the boot. Then you meticulous roll of the environment that boot on without a sock or where it needs to be. So with that being the with the spares in side by side rolling back up the way to reapply. You've got a safe area of maintenance but you've got enough moisture inside, cold weather operas, or forget to do. Anshin is just as likely to take you amazingly enough. The idea there is when you are doing that you bring it to a boil, into the canteen, or carrier system you've got. Like don't forget to use either your water treatment tabs. I believe in using both. I've got water filtration straw so I can actually drink right out of a reserve if need be no matter what that stuff might be in there. More likely I'm gonna first pre-filter something we were talking about like when you have bigger water supplies I'm gonna pre-filter the cheapie 100 or 200 dollar you pre-free stuff out and even out of the water those mittens a little bit of water in the skin and fans not in the winter we're gonna cold the seasons that are available problem anyway since I'm not the Jewish grandmother I'll be daddy's arred okay another thing I'll tell you what every month we have for the you know $20 for It's like it's leaning in that direction, but it is a really good... Did not see the pants. Number of these in a very important thing for myself. That's not the plan. I'd be done with whatever is readily available. And you've got a waterproofing systems. Your fuel jacket is kind of a sweat suit environment if you do that. But it does. So one of the things, remember, you're going to have moisture issue. That's the thing about you got to ventilate so that the light weight, so that you want to keep clean and that creak. Do we have a call? Mark got in a few moments before the break and I heard arrows. referring to possibly stitch sewing. He was possibly getting a screw to a woebie and or a pon. A common thing when I've been dealing in surplus, I would say one third. I would say one third with a knife or something with more like a, which they use to the neck. You can bring it all the time. A lot of sewing. You know, my grandmother started teaching me at about a year and a half old, you know, by hand. I also do machines. I got treadle machines, sailmaking machines. had leather shops and I was a little hippie boy on the streets, etc. I can tell, I can put out right now the best way to get that dust, that head slot into a liner or any other type of it is cut. The problem is when you cut it the way they... I can tell everyone the appropriate procedure. What you do, is top of your poncho, you have to make sure in the appropriate... Once you have identified this, okay, you don't cut, you don't cut first. Okay, what you do is is you will mark you will decide how long you want that okay? And what you will do is is you will put a mark with a dark marker on that exacting area where the slot is going to be to place that over your head. Once you put that mark on there, then you go to the out just a little bit to the outside of that mark and that is where you sew. The first thing you do is locate Second thing is you sew. You can do that by hand. You put a nice straight line on there, dark line with a dark marker, okay? You can either hand sew by hand, and you are completely going around lengthwise, probably 12 to 16 inches, okay? And the width of your stitching there only needs to be a number of an inch. Now, doesn't that make sense? You see, there's nothing there to fray if you've already got it sewn. And I would do double and triple sections of sewing, okay? If I had a choice, I would choose to do it by machine, and then I would get, piping is something that will cover an edge, okay? Many, many, many things that we have, all of the Alice Military Pack. you've got edging on that, your top lid. Okay? On the edge of that is a narrow piece of nylon material. What it does is it goes over that edge and then it's sewn through on both sides. What I would do is I would mark it, I would stitch around it two to three times, okay? And then I would go ahead, I would cut it, I would make my slit, And then I would get a piece of some type of light, softer webbing, or some type of material, and it's probably only gonna, it needs to be only, say, maybe three quarters of an inch in width, up to an inch. And then that is your piping that will be sewn area that you have just cut that slit on. Over. That's what I do. And I've been sewing most of my life. There's everything in place. You don't get to just step out and say I'm out for you know, I have self depending on show the garden and signal includes using dried leaves using that for insulation in the bags if you have two or three bags side one bag is the things they've done to improve of what your that protects the bedible sleeping there There's a number of different solutions one works the simplest will always out with what's in my son anything else different in particular measure Maybe putting something in the ground gonna give you a consistent of those things. These are the little things that, you know, well hey, in the field, you know, the edges of the clings. I will say there, you need to make sure don't, but in other cases, not so much. Determinants, whatever you can that goes with them. And then start experimenting how to make it work, grab your things together, and then follow them. I think she did that for, cause she got me to, re-knit, re- I could knit, knit, knit, knit, knit, knit, then, you know, and then seal and knit, knit, knit, knit, knit, you know, I could do that. Everybody's got a little pickup, and then it'll be, it's, you know, being, you get a lot of it, it's being, how can I make that work for me? That's not necessarily true. New is not necessarily better in the way things are going with the economy. This is more common than not. This is why I keep mentioning the Cold War era surplus. Leave of what's been driven anywhere near it for something I know was built by these. I can buy a brand new four pennies right now over the counter. So this is this junk and turning it around into something useful. Fiction factor is in the long haul. Mostly the wear factor because of the way it is kind of. It's literally spun like cotton candy network that holds everything to a degree together candy filler with washing you lose more. It will just literally disintegrate for you know lack of it in some ways not. How long will it last and stay in one piece? How long before well like they described groups where they're literally were wearing rags for clothing the other rags read about there's some good by some of its only unlimited sun off boots size seven and eight they still have them over a sportsman's got nine dollars a pay. Who need those? For they're charging that much for socks. A minimal investment and Mickey Mouse boots takes a lot to break over this winter. I may be wearing other foot and front places, and I'm right there on the front head if I got those Mickey Mouse boots on. Remodel, they're not the ones with the valve, they're the ones without the valve. Infantry boot. They're the idea behind the valve is to equalize pressure. Don't look like Mickey Mouse in space. And they're still issuing them out to the troops off of the inventory that they've got stuck away in some coal mine somewhere. You know how that works. They're from underground someplace. At least the ones he originally bought, you know, didn't have anything like moving your toes. There's a little weight to them. Well, that's good exercise, man. You need a little exercise anyway. Important thing is where they really were a plus for vehicle operator's eyes just standing in one place. You gotta remember, trench killed a lot of people. They didn't kill them. They let people down. One of the things that the Mickey Mouse boots helped to deal with, even with moisture, although you gotta get, once you get water in them, you gotta get it out. But if you broke through ice, typically that was lethal. With the Mickey Mouse boots, amazingly enough, even if you were an immersion like that, you put, you just get back. start moving around right away and it would bring the water in the mood up to temperature. You can take a look at it. There are images showing cross cuts of how they're built. Everybody here contributed. That's why we do this program. That's what we need to see happen guys because of us thinkers, the other side got the stick on that before it happens. That's what Buddy System is all about. Sometimes side to head if he's not listening, experience interworking with the people who have as much in a circle. That's the way I do it. I've done it before. And the reason is you already did that in a way when you bought that second bolt testable, he holds on your Rslash cigarette roll point somewhere on the west. And when you need them, they're with... Yes, this is BC. A field repair kit in the heart of the mag full handle on my grip, on my AR. I mean, it didn't have the trigger or the hammer in it, but it had all the other springs and pins and things. So that's a wonderful place to put something. One of the other things about that is pistol grip you've got if you're using the A1, A2 butt stocks remember that there are three different or four different variations including the many many commercial ones that actually completely come apart and there's this there's there's box itself where you can while the later model A1 or the original A2 stand the storage track and your spare parts will slide right in there with everything else your base
