Summary
Mark Koernke discussed weather conditions in Michigan on September 25, 2018, including cloud cover and temperature observations. He addressed supply chain disruptions caused by recent tornadoes in the region, noting how just-in-time delivery systems left stores unable to restock construction materials like gutters and sheet metal after the disaster. Koernke emphasized the importance of maintaining spare materials and inventory for emergencies, contrasted wealthy nations' preparedness with just-in-time economics, and discussed DIY construction techniques. He also provided an update on co-host Don's recovery from recent health issues and took a caller from Pennsylvania expressing support for Don.

Serving the micro effect. I had a dream the other night that, well I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three cornered hat. And speaking low to me he said, we fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost. You're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold, You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number and you've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn and your daughters visit doctors so their children Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride and are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear? and be a slave. O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God that torture freedom burning bright as Iowoki vanished in the midst of whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now his tyrants trampled each god-given right. We only watched him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep, and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave, dill the land of the free? Ladies and gentlemen, this is the day closer to Victron and behind the lines in occupied territories southwest, northeast, Micro Effect Network in the morning www.themicroeffect.com We're on AM&FM Micro CB. That's our friends out there in lower 49. The Civ, which is the border, guys, and Comp Ed uniform just walking across the border in groups of, you know, small 40, 50, 60. Bunes from above. You know that? Spy plane, just like the big snake, or Be to burn, okay? Find him. Even though big trillion dollar police state... Yeah, up in hand he just turned and hit the switch and you're there with the might they thank you to 95.5 and many others. Frontier, that are broadcasting right now. Rainy here this morning. However, he was not sleepy. It was like uh, ultra-fineness, that's fine. Then it got a little rainy and then it got real rain and then it went back and forth. But we had constant blood-gray cloud cover. A rainy day elimination enough. just fine and you get a little bit of butcher little stuff is not probably going to run very well for rains and then there would be enough that it just gets. We did not have any break in the clouds. We did not have any blue sky and we had multi-level cloud cover with the weather information. Guys, all of the technology, solar technology I had was have the leaves gone. We don't have everything drop. We don't even have colors right now. Here we are in the end. We're heading towards the end of September. We have no color change. And under that tree canopy, even the weakest of lights that usually, you know, they're okay. They're the older ones, so I put them into locations. Three o'clock, actually, 3.15 to 3.20. Those little lights still have the day. The little gnome out there. And besides, this night, we've got light right now as far as a breakup, and then, who knows, might go back up to tropical warm because we have the hurricane season, you know, moving in. And I can gauge it by the technology we use. It requires You get charged even with clouds but fires for you to get long charge or heat charge anyway, every day so it's just like the rain not because of oil on the road but watch anything. When you come up on the intersections people are just playing and you watch this and of course you know cell phone phobia you know not phobia, oh ultra phobia, tiny little people. Well it is the 25th of September 2018 and yeah we got 38 degrees here this morning. I today is 72. And there's absolutely nothing jumping off the wall. Interestingly enough, uh, in the morning, but... ...which is very important, Oklahoma stores' beer shortage. One week away from seeing Oklahoma's new alcohol laws, many are complaining of empty shelves and very... ...convenience if in, uh, Edmond is temporarily closed for business. The picture they're showing is literally, you know, the, the, uh, stock balance blocking the Iowa complete. Uh, let's see, alcohol... convenience. I think, you know, they're to make sure they sold them for retailers. Three, two beers. If you're in the military, you're a beer. Because a lot of times you end up over in Europe doing more beer in the other country. Germany, a lot of years ago, they were lamenting that they were with, you know, beer production. That should happen, of course, for the Germans. Apparently, they've done is the apparently general sales and they shortage and try to get them the original stock, you know, so that when the you'll be, you know, everybody be turning towards the new beer. What do you think? The white guys, that's all over the place. Look at the slide up and down the scale. That again, it won't let you get to the... I think Homer Simpson would be going through better. How many pallet ways? You know, I just googled that subject here. We have Britain's beer shortage coming to a head. German heat wave causes beer bottle shortage as sales surge. And grocery convenience stores facing beer shortage is coming into the news. Oklahoma stores see beer shortage as October 1st approaches. Yeah. So stock up on your beer. I have semi trucks out there, bank and you might recall that, you know, spoke to the, uh, you can't get close to me. And by the way, everybody was doing that. If everybody would bring me back some cores. was the thing on everybody's lips. The cam was too. The big thing to me, it was just the idea of, well, no, I don't want to come. Well, I went out to, if they created it, away even for sure. Two things that can happen, all the revenuers were, and the people by confiscating that beer and putting it in our stuff, they've got a couple of them here in Pecan, Michigan. They have these debaucheries where they're drunk during the week. Usually it's like, was it, you know, Sunday, of course. They're imbibing and smoking. Well, all of you weren't supposed to smoke and all of you aren't supposed to be drinking. you know, hey, you paid for it so they can steal it. They can have it at home. Something but they're not. I mean, come on, it's an easy drive-in. Wichita Falls, okay. State, north, well, one of our, Hawaii, and he might be on his way home, he done. And also, of course, a couple of other people on the move, I think with the work in that direction. Other than, well, we had another storm front. We did not have another tornado hit. But you know, this is something interesting. Joe, you remember on time delivery, right? Everybody bought into that and everybody does now. Of course, it's a great way to have an excuse for not having inventory on the shelf, right? Material consumption. And we have these stores or Menards, which are like Lowe's or Home Despot, etc. Menards is, you know, particular more, I guess, to our part of the country right now. They're trying to expand out and they will eventually, those countries, just like Lowe's did. Home Depot. They've got a nice little section somewhere, you know, somebody picked up a low ox and the forklift did something it wasn't supposed to, or it was a little scrapey poo here. Or they didn't use all the custom order, but they could bring it back. Now they have bounce spouts, you name it. And usually there is a stack of so many Menards in the state place out there. Well, when we were working on Don's place, I thought, well, I'm going to go out and pick up the stuff for the gutter, put everything new in that needed to be new enough for a place. for the house that we've been working on for him. Two different places. I had to go to Menards and I had only enough to do elbow and that they had for the downspouts. And of course, they were pretty well worked out in inventory. I had to go to Lowe's and I bought the last of everything they had and then they were out. The difference to get part of the job done. Started to look and it was a week later, all of the tornadoes had assumed and eaten up. And because they're all buying from the same location, with on-time delivery and I already talked to the managers that got know some of the guys pretty well because we've been buying a lot of construction material over the you know last couple years or years I think it's like yeah everybody came in and cleaned us out well down Michigan and the sheet metal didn't make any difference liners soffit everything you can imagine it's all pre-cutter like you know certain odd lengths or whatever in the middle of the Eagles yeah I wanted and insight does it notice you're kind of down there too I was gonna buy my part main warehouse for the place so he barefoot what I've been tapping, but it's a classic example of poverty in this country. A strong country and a wealthy country wouldn't be pissing around with a poor country's idea of on-time delivery. If you're a wealthy country, you can have stuff piled up all over the place that you're economically sound. You can afford to have access, but it's not really access, because, oh, well, when you have an incident like this, it's up in the area where Don is. Seven tornadoes don't really know for sure. A little south, farther south. Then may have been hit by nine. They don't know for sure some of the areas were kind of remote, but they found it when it comes to 20 tornadoes hit and all those, you know, places went to odds. Rube, barn damage. Happening is, everything is being consumed and sent to the area where the damage was. No single location had enough of anything to fix, but because they also all, you know, the chain stores, they operate out of them. That comes from the Amish or on the move. And these guys are going to town. working non-stop even though it's been how long since we had the initial event with Don's place complete get stuff done before winter some people say paycheck didn't make it and so they've got to be done because we're facing winter here this little interesting thing I went to you know see what kind of goodies or what kind of both I could make and there were no deals to be had cuz man and loaded it independent you know independent people doing they're doing the job we're supposed to It's sad because, again, this is an example of how long. This is just something that's not even a critical item. We're talking like, you know, gutters and sheet steel. No, not they took them all. He's like, well, that'll be the same thing for us. Oh, no, no. If you've got any other projects like that, think ahead with spares where you need them. And don't talk, you know, sheet metal fronts if you have excess hanging on the wall. If you have a little leftover, now, you ever have any roof damage, poke hole here or a tree through one panel. If you just had a couple of, you know, sheets left over, a couple panels, you just zit back off everything, a cut to a certain point, and of course accommodate for that. Slide another sheet in, you don't have to replace it. In fact, you know what's special, that's the wonderful thing about sheet teal. Having the, uh, stack it somewhere and make something ornamental, but any brick you got left over from a brick job you do on a house, if you have to bust through a ball or something happens like we saw here with these storms, Just having that 20 or 30 brick around, maybe you want more than that, it's perspares usually just part of a flat. Take that and just stack it up. It's amazing how you can either make a little walk area with it or stack it up. Just like to make another wall in front of a wall. Those materials can't be matched up. Always have people complain about that. Well, you can't find that color. Well, that's because it's the color lot brick when it's killed. You know, it's a certain shade, and that's why if you're laying brick, you wanna try and pick up the same lot all at the same time, or you got these funny spots where there's kinda one shade, and you can see where it all is. With each run, you finally end it in... Wait a minute, there's a color variant here. Now it'll eventually bleed together a little bit with age, but that take... And for the sake of, like, the mobily colors on bricks anyway, to hopefully be able to blend things like that. But solid colors. Where Don is recuperating, family should be up and... from point to the compass. He might, we might fit and if he has to take off, he has to take off. If he can't do it, you know, that's make a personal decision on that one. We'll see what happens. Lower, no for that matter, even board. But if you take a look at the basic idea, anybody who's a board, understand what it is that's being done, being made. Talk about for, you know, I touch on the subject, non-strategic material. How you gonna restrict the point to is, remember you just have to have a channel in the middle. You cut that jigsaw, the makeup, the thick. to create the width wise, use your imagination. You drill the holes in the right place, you insult, well guess what, the way they work or they end up in camper time, you got yourself a rifle, but I would lower a receiver. If you want to make it disappear, break out the jig and the receiver or lower, we're talking about those. The kid actually went more complicated than probably most board beavers would, the guy that was doing it. Different ways you can use all the many tools you got in a wood shop, you know, you've got holes, you've got stuff, you've got any number of different Cutting systems because you're trying to be I guess you don't give it some current I've told you before just keep it simple stupid Especially with wartime for if you're trying to minimize time on to you know time on production you cut down every step you can Minimize the consumption of your tools and I hear the debt. Well guys watch this video In hell, I'll be in good company They had a great time with it and had a lot of fun. It's really an interesting little piece of ear candy while you're listening to the music there. We'll be back right here. It's one Tuesday on The Rock. They kind of, kind of rainy, but uh, but we're liking it. You know why I called Mark? I was glad you, you always give us a, you know, how Don is doing. And I'm pleased to hear that he's listening. But yeah, hey, just a shout out to Don. I bet you that's all. Again, the situation, as you can imagine first, was a one-time deal that they went with, you know, energy out of you. And of course, he's having to, we need him to concentrate on healing. He can move around. Just the voice. on his voice and again we don't want to tire him out we don't want him to you know run down run the batteries down just want to see that happen it's his personal decision and he's got a you know he's got the energy that he's got and we wanted to focus on being able to do a lot more you know down the road so and again I know people are thinking about him we worry about every day here we can we're in another part of this to get back to the good thing is a lot of our friends including other co-hosts or from other programs proximity and they're able to come in and help too and just keep an eye on him and of course they're familiar with the issues at hand because they're dealing with that with their own family right now. Take care of you, take care of everything else but you got to make sure you take care of what's important and Don has been there for a long time. I'll tell you that one of our old and he's now gone again broadcasters slash fellow patriots worked on him for a long time and he was a stubborn you know Don was Well, it was just the idea that, you know, like everybody, you have to keep working at them, digging at the shell that people put around. The downstairs, he watched what was going on, and he started doing his own radio program, you know, as Yankee D, as Yankee D on the air. And he pretty much put up on the air, first doing his own independent work, and then while I was behind the wire, and was filling in, we had a tag team between different people that were helping us. and a lot of other people.
