Some have said our struggle is likened unto a walking civil war within which wages within us. We have the ability to see what's good. But sadly, most of the time we're unable to do what's right. As with other times, we can see what's wrong. But yet, unable to prevent ourselves from capitulating and caving in. Friends, Paul mentions in our text that he's constantly being pulled into and his observations are very accurate for each and every one of us experienced the very same thing. Nearly, 24-7, all our lives long, we're constantly being pulled in two directions. That it seems as if we're two different people or residing within our body, kind of like a Dr. Jekyll and a Mr. Hyde. No matter how experienced a believer may be in their Christian walk, There is a bondage, a power of sin within the believer's body which cannot be totally resisted. It is when the individual notices this and comes to the point of being sin-sick and seeks relief. Friends, this relief can only be found in the person and the fellowship of Jesus Christ. When one longs for the liberty from sin, and the bondage which it inflicts upon oneself. It is then when one makes a conscious decision to seek out Jesus Christ. When an individual finally comes to the terms within themselves, it is this consciousness that drives them to finally admit the truths and the promises which are found in Scripture. When one finally accepts the truth, And Christ as Lord and deliverer one can and will experience victories over sin and the bondage which comes with it. Deliverance comes through Christ our Lord. Only He can do this for us, but one must come unto Him. I'll leave you with two verses. Romans chapter 8 verse 2 where it reads, For the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death and whom we have redemption through his blood the forgiveness of our trespasses according to the riches of his grace Believers mind is remade through the new birth comes to truly know that their deliverer is Jesus Christ Not through man made ideologies and or religions when one is delivered and Christ justifies the believer and places that believer under God's grace as a new creature with a bright future and an eternal future with our Lord.
