Summary
Mark Koernke discussed preparedness equipment and supplies, including tactical gear from AirSoft GI (chest rigs and assault vests at $7-13), AK-47 magazines and Peppish submachine gun kits from CenterFire Systems, and handheld radios for emergency communication. He conducted a shortwave frequency test on 7520 kHz, requesting listeners to monitor the signal between 8-9 PM Eastern time to assess coverage. Koernke provided detailed guidance on ammunition storage using Ziploc bags and desiccant packets to protect against moisture, and discussed various affordable radio options including FRS handhelds and AM-FM-shortwave receivers from retailers like Walmart and Menards. He also fielded caller questions about radio operation and preparedness.

Visit them online today at MaineMilitary.com. That's Maine, like the state, Military.com. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from Tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free, the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But Tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost. You're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free, the brave. You vie permits to travel and permits to own a gun. permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper, so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've given government control to those who do you harm, so they could burn down churches and seasonally farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail, harass your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children will meet. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children in fear? Oh, sons of the Republic, arise. Take a stand. Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the plan. Preserve our great Republic and each God given right. And pray to God to torture freedom as I awoke he'd vanished and missed for once. His words were true, not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each God given right, we only watch and tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. He stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep. and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep. What would be your answer if he called out from the grave, dealt the land of the free and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the free? ...and home of the and golden spike technologies east-west of the Mississippi along with Alaska, the Aleutians and the Bering Strait. Well, I'll tell you what, it's still raining here. The fact is it's dribbling all day. It's been on and off. Today's date, it's Thursday. It is the 29th of September. It is the 8th year of an Thebean Socialist and Soviet Socialist occupation of America with a K-2016, old earth calendar, 2016 year of battle, year of storm, and a beautiful week. coming up tomorrow morning everybody's going to be active and busy first thing so 0800 hours Emmerich Emerson, New Camp Stasa, Camp Wayland North, the Yogum Aranges, Camp Nagy Hichum, Improved Fox and Rustic Wolf will be open and our microstations will be online also 96.5 FM new micro station one of our friends they did a music request this morning I'll do it again this afternoon in a few minutes uh... so hide everybody there attention attention attention number one i need your help all you guys break out your little shortwave a m f m shortwave radios and i need you to monitor the frequency seven five two zero wherever you are tonight does everybody understand that starting uh... say this next hour coming up if you can find your a m f m shortwave one and two and weather radios whatever you've got Break it out, tune it in to 7520 and monitor it through to 9 o'clock, if you would please. We'd like to find out or print this to see what's going on. I'm going to post this in a couple other directions and ask people to do a spot check with their radio. 7520 shortwave and from 8 o'clock to 9 o'clock would be the critical window. How does it sound in your area? 7.520 shortwave. If you don't have an AM-FM shortwave radio, you need to buy one. I've already told you this before. I've got a galaxy right here behind me. I've got Plantronics. I've got Transpacific. I've got some of the ancient Transpacific super transistor radios. Of course, those things will bring in everything. But they're portable, guys. You can buy them even at Radio Shack or with a resurrected version of that. You can go to Best Buy, you can go to any number of different stores. Hello, Walmart might even have one on hand. I'm sure they do. They've got a crank and solar version. One of them is a free play. It has both AM, FM, and shortwave. Grundick does a really nice handheld for you truck drivers. Really nice about the size of a cell phone, maybe twice the thickness. But the radio receives it phenomenally. It's got an excellent synthesizer transponder on board. that takes in the signal and really does a great job of eliminating the wormhole. So it's much, much more like listening to a regular AM or FM radio. Either way, we need your help. 7520 shortwave, clock to 9 o'clock. You would check it tonight and then also check it tomorrow. But let's see how it sounds in the evening. In fact, ideally it would be 7 o'clock. on Eastern Time, 7 to 8, 8 to 9. Just spot check it. If you can't listen to it for a bit, if it doesn't come in at all, understand. Most of your units are digital, so they're going to link right in. They're going to tune right in. You dial up 7520. Otherwise, you know, use a little scroll, take the little cursor, move it over to 7520, play with the dial, find the frequency, find the channel, and listen in for a bit. 7520 shortwave 7520 shortwave 7520 shortwave we'd like to find out more anyway next I mentioned this earlier today and again I think our people are responding I grabbed a bunch of the green ones already gone I think I grabbed one of the tan vests I got green the green vests and the green chest pouches when they sent me an email special on this Here's what we do go to airsoft GI when you get to airsoft GI Where it says search for or in the left side? There's a white line right under airsoft GI the title block for the page punch in tack TAC space 9 as in numeral 9 BL EMS That's tap space boy And when you punch that up what's gonna pop up is a screen with six items on it two of them are sold out already They're tack 9 6 power Let's see forgive me. I want to make sure you write eight eight mag or four pocket AK chest pouches with two additional support pouches on the side Six dollars and ninety nine cents apiece. That's seven dollars. I'll throw a penny in P. Ching there you go They have assault vest they still have the vest and the vest come with a belt Which by itself the belt the you can go looking at three to six dollars apiece. I know they're but they're and they're not real fancy They're good enough for what they're for But it comes with a belt on the base. Most of them just have the hanger straps and they'll sell you the belt separate. I don't know if they take them off when the guys do that or not and then go, hey, we'll market them this way. But these come with the belt, or they're supposed to. Yep, holster for a pistol includes pistol belt. It reads, stores up to 10 M4 magazines and 5 pistol magazines. Utility pouch with elastic loops for shotgun shells, don't worry about that. Includes pistol belt, because of course utility pouch itself is nice. Holster with pistol and padded, no slip, right shoulder, etc. $12.99 apiece for the assault vest. $13. If you're looking to putting the equipment together to cash, to create a cache, uh... where you want to put mags something to carry the mags in say a backup unit so if you ran bare butt naked out of the shower and you ran to a five gallon pail somewhere you'd have another set of light duty clothing you'd have uh... you'd have the assault rig you have magazines you got a broken down AR-15 in two pieces uh... you pull that out you pull everything else out put it together put the gear back on and go find the buggers who just attacked your house and kill every last bastard you find how's that sound Well again, I'm not going to find some friends. Well at the very least, let's put it this way. You're not bare butt naked, you got everything you need. I would even go so far and again people go, Mark, there's only so much room in the container. That's right. So a pair of, I'll tell you what, what are reasonably priced deck shoes. lightweight deck shoes to put a pair of shoes or something in there. Now the other option is what most people poo poo nowadays but I'm going to tell you, hey China sport or Korean sport or Taiwanese sport shoes, you know boots. The Vietnam era type. Why? Because they're cheap, they crush up well, you can fold them down on themselves, yeah because they're cheap leather. But you got a pair of boots in there. If you ran from the house and you didn't even have shoes or you ran from the house and bare butt naked just about, You're going to need to cover your hind end with something. Here's the other thing. This pair of shoes, whatever you do put in there, deck shoes, whatever you want, but something that's small so it'll take up minimal space. The idea is to have enough to cover your hind end. I would remind you that it might be cold so it would be a good idea, behoove you to have something in there that is a cold weather item that can scrunch up real good. Holofill items are great for that. I'd also put five or six emergency blankets in there. Why? You take one of those foil emergency blankets, you put it underneath the shirt or the light jackets you've got but over the other underwear clothing and even the insulator item and you've got yourself a significant thermal layer, that blanket, that thermal blanket is going to keep all the heat in there under the Holofill. The Holofill creates the air standoff. Okay, just little things you can do. But this gear is affordable for $7 or $13. I'm going to put the penny on. Okay, let me make you understand. It's $6.99 and $12.99. It's one penny off of $7 and $12. Okay. Forgive me, $7 and $13. So here's the thing, the assault vests are worthwhile, the tan ones and the green ones are gone. And the chess pouches, we bought them all. I know we did. Our people did. But there's still the black chess rigs left. Black is not the first color, but black is good enough. For $7 a piece, you can treat these like bandoliers. Okay, now I'm going to cherry pick for instance. Let me give you an example. I'm trying to put a combat rig together. For $7 I just got a chest rig. Now I'm going to, and again, I'll go through this one more time. I'm going to go slow. Go to airsoftgi.com. That's airsoftgi.com. airsoftgi.com. Then you go to TAC, where you do a search, TAC, T-A-C. the numeral nine, space, blends, B-L-E-M-S. Again, that's TAC 9, blends. Once you do the search on that, what will come up are six items. Two of those items at the bottom of the line are sold out. They still have the assault vest in green, the assault vest in brown, the assault vest in black, and they have the four pocket with two extra support pocket, chest pouch, in black. If you need a chest pouch to go into that cache or if you're building up a 5.10 program, hey for seven dollars a piece congratulations are going to be wearing a black chest pouch with their gear. You know why? It's very affordable this way. Really is. Cheap as you can get. But anyway this will give you additional material. Great little rig, those little shoulder rigs or the chest rig is great for just grabbing that in your rifle and going out to check out the back 40. Not too heavy but you got lots of fighting load. You got lots of fight. Lots of pew pew or pop pew pew pew anyway uh... now i've got that chest rig six ninety nine and that was all at airsoft g i dot com i bought twenty of the i got bought ten of the chest rigs and had ten of the vest right away if you got a hours i'd buy a pile of the whatever of the of the assault rigs you want guys it's enough to get people into the fight not only get them in the fight but just guess what there's always going to be somebody who doesn't have anything or they're, I want a footnote, okay? Or like, remember those Red Don images where they saved the guys from the truck? And they give them the rifle. And one magazine? Oh, how about you create an army by being ready to go, a chest pouch or a salt rig and rifle? A chest pouch, a salt rig and rifle? A chest pouch, a salt rig and rifle? You strip your enemy dead for the same reason. So again, you've got the equipment to go along with the rifle. Don't do what they do in the movies, which they always do. Oh, he just picks a gun up and he doesn't pick up any mags. Amazingly after this, gun just fires forever and ever, which means you need to think the same way. You don't need to pick up all that gear. What would you need that for? Well, maybe the other guy's wearing it because it supports the rifle. He just took off his corpse. Maybe you want to take that with you. So again, this is a solution and it's cheap. Now the shipping, there's still shipping on this. If you buy more, the shipping is spread out over more items, but the shipping isn't too bad. I bought 20 pieces plus, well, 21 pieces, and it cost about $2 per vest to get them shipped. So that's not bad. So again, if you guys have, if you want to put a 10 program together or a 5 program together, well, again, it's your choice. If you need them for 8K, go to the Black Chest Pouch. They're cheap. $7. Can't go wrong. Otherwise, pick a color that makes sense that you need most for the AR type platforms and those are in the assault vests, they are definitely worthwhile. I'm continually accumulating these when I see them, whether they're marked down or tossed out. In this case, marked down. So it's definitely worthwhile. Anyway, that's it, Airsoft GI. Now change directions. Gee, now that I've got that chest pouch, I might want to put some mags in it. And I might want some more chest parts, some more pouches to go on the belt. Well guess what, if I go over to CenterfireSystems.com, CenterfireSystems.com, CenterfireSystems.com, they've got 10 AK47 magazines plus 5 3-cell mag pouches for $100. A pretty reasonable price. AK creep has been taking place because of the wars overseas. So $10 a piece for what looks to be the Korean mags is not a bad deal. That's at CenterFireSystems.com, CenterFireSystems.com, CenterFireSystems.com. Now, for all you project people out there, there's something else that they've got in the specials in the scroll at the top of the page right now. If you go to CenterFireSystems.com, by the way, they got Ruger 1022s for $240, which is not a bad price, okay? Then the next thing in the scroll they have, oh look, they've got Peppiish 43 and Peppiish 4352 kits. One of each with a total of what looks like, what, they've got mag pouches, slings, the chopped up receiver, they don't have a barrel, but they do come with everything else and it's $124.99. Gee, that's $125. both kits, one of the Peppiesz 43s, one of the Peppiesz 43 52s. These are Polish kits and a lot of these guns were virtually either like new or unissued kits. They were unissued guns when they were chopped up, which is crazy. I think they would regret this because right now these guns are being sold in Ukraine and being sold in the Middle East en masse and they are moving. So these kits are what's left here in the US. What would I do with this? Well, let me point something out. I want you to go check to see what a 40 caliber S&W round, what its length is. And then I want you to measure the length of a Tokarev 762 by 25 millimeter round. Oh, wait. It's 25 millimeters long. Wait a minute. That's like, oh, wait a minute. The 40 caliber? Hey, they're almost the same diameter, too. In other words, .40 caliber would fit in those peppy-ish mags, and if I were to actually build a peppy-ish down the road, I might build it in .40 caliber. That way I don't have to worry about finding .762x25 ammo, which I can, and I can make more from .223 cases. But boy, if I made a .40 caliber SMG, that would be quite useful because there's lots and lots and lots of cop shop and, you know, general .40 caliber SNW laying around, isn't there? Boy, there is! So again, you might want to take a look at that for anybody being creative and, you know, looking at, you know, to the future. What I would do is get a 40 caliber barrel blank from Douglas or from any number of different companies, have it over respect so that when I put it down the lathe and I, you know, laid it down to match up what I need for my carbine, because you would be making a carbine. You wouldn't be making a submachine gun down the road. You'd make a carbine. Of course, maybe you wouldn't worry about that. If we're at war, then all bets are off. But, if .40 caliber should fit into that peppy-ish magazine, maybe I'm wrong. I could be wrong. I could be. Maybe not. Anyway, it's an idea for you guys that are wanting to be creative. Of course, if you're going to do that, you'll probably want more than just one set of kits. You probably would want a whole bunch of those. And that would be a solution because look at all this stuff already built. The whole Trigger Group magazine well is done in one piece and is untouched, uncut. That by itself, along with the bolt and the... Yeah, that should be just set off to the side for other future projects too, because you can do all kinds of... And when you've got the mags that go in the magwell, the only thing you've got to figure out is what you want to slap on that trigger group and lower tray. Wait a minute, you've got the pattern up above with the cut receiver, so you've got an idea what you might want to do. And down the road, I guess we could be more creative once the sky's the limit. Oh yeah, that's right, we could. Anyway, CenterfireSystems.com, CenterfireSystems.com, check that out. It's in the scroll at the top of the page, item number two. Now they do also have those AK mags. There are, it's 10 AK-47 Korean mags plus 5 mag pouches for $99.99. I think that's $100. Now the other thing that's going on with CinderFi right now, flat rate, $13 on everything including ammunition and mulk. $13 flat rate. So the more you buy when you get there, the happier you'll be when it comes time to check out because it's only $13 shipping. You start talking heavy metal, you're talking a chunk of weight for shipping, so that's a hell of a deal, guys. Now, one more thing they want to do here because they do have in military gear, go to military gear at center fire, go to pouches, look at this. They have the multi pocket chest pouches for the same price you'll get the other four cells for but these won't fit those AK mags. They've got the camo stripper clip chest pouches for the SKS in camo or OD green for $7 apiece. You can only buy I think six at a time or five at a time. They've got a limit on them. That's okay. But if you need another chest pouch that's in that size or dimension, you might want to check it out. Now I'm going to tell you what we do with these. We took all of those 20 round AR-15 mags and we stuffed the chest pouches with those because they fit real nice. The thermold 20 rounders, remember ones I told you to buy? Well these chest pouches ran out. But if you've got a bunch of those thermold 20 rounders and you're trying to find something to put them in, this is like a 20 round AR-15 chest bandolier. In other words, a bandolier you can load stuff up with and say, here, take that to Ralph and Fred. They've got ARs. They need more mags. They need them loaded. And you hand that over to a guy and he carries two, three, four, five of them and drops them off to each guy as he's going or hands them out to the troops as they come back looking for ammo and they can turn right around and start dumping rounds down range. Kind of handy. Anyway, they sold out before on both of these and they haven't had them for almost three years, guys. I haven't seen them for almost four now, but they finally got them back in stock. Go ahead, caller. Yeah, I got time trying to tune in I got a you know, just a dial tuner. It's not digital, but I'm not hearing nothing I'm not I'm in Atlanta inside a truck. That's probably why but well, yeah, take your time That's okay. But you remember our big the big thing is from 8 to 9 because that's the window that we'll be wanting to broadcast. That's one that's available, by the way. 7520 is what we're going to be testing. I don't know when their change out is because sometimes they tune up. Those are like day frequencies and evening frequencies. But we need to find out more because if it's not worth investing in, then everybody needs to help out to confirm this. But the idea we're going to try and do that. Get it done and get it out of the way. Shortwave will be up as quickly as we can. and you should be able to tune in via shortwave. I hear everybody lamenting about this whole thing about them, you know, they're going to take over and shut off the internet. What have I been saying for how many years now? Everybody's panicked on this. You all need to find alternate solutions. And one of them is we never throw away the old technology. We've been wanting to get back on shortwave. We need to have that in place. It's again, part of a combined arms team. And it's just... Eight o'clock your time? Eight o'clock Eastern time. Eastern, okay. Yeah, test it. Well, you can test it now. That's fine. I mean, you're right. In fact, I want to see if that frequency is up. It's 7520. I'm not getting nothing. Between 7.6 and 6.9, I'm getting nothing. Well, it's 7520. Yeah. I'm getting a dead space. You're getting, okay, well, where are you? I'm in Atlanta. Well, you're south of the transmit, you're south in a little east, but not by much of the transmitter. So you may be, see that's the other thing is remember shortwave, long shortwave, long AM bounces way out. So I don't know what the bounce is on this frequency yet. That's why I want to try and print it. I know that they have a map out on the frequency, but we always test by having our listeners check to see where we can pick it up. So just keep spot checking. That's okay, good. Thank you for the feedback on that. Appreciate it. And again, 7520, break out your AM-FM and shortwave radios, you know, the combos. Tune it into 7520 and see if you can pick up that particular frequency over the next couple hours, guys. Out and off, 8 o'clock tonight is the critical window. We want to see how well that works. You smart? Go ahead, caller. Um, can you help me? I have a Yeah Zoo. The GP little handheld GP3 TP. I just saw how to use it though Can you how do you enter the band in there? Okay, is it a wall? There's a lot of a suit Okay, that's a broad spectrum. Is it a it's a it's a handheld is it what is it an AM FM shortwave or is it a shortwave specific radio? What's it say on the radio what's the model GT3 BP3? No, George Tango-3 Tango Papa. TP. Okay, very good. GT. Okay, hold on a second. What we see here... Brand new out of the box. I just don't know. I've never used... Well, if it takes power does it have a wall wart? Everybody's gonna... basically if you bought it, how big is it? Size of a pack of cigarettes? Size of a cigar box? Size of what? Yeah, a little longer than a pack of cigarettes. Okay, that's a handheld, one of the newer units probably. It has an LCD screen on the front. Yes, right now it's showing two frequencies. Okay. 136.025 and 46.0. Hold on here because Yasu is somebody else might be able to pitch in on the air but this is what's fun to try to do this on the radio is entertaining to say the least. Hold on a second here. And it's in Japanese. Somehow it got in. Oh my God. Yeah he could be able to find a YouTube instruction. YouTube's got a whole wide range of different instructionals for these hand-knows. Yeah. Somebody could just tell me how to get it to read. That number you said in two what was the one you said down here? I wrote well hold on a second here because I think I see first of all I don't have the I don't have it in hand so I don't know which of the which of the control pads you have and because it has opposed like it when you see a three and then you see a TP then there's enough that's another designation for a sub model which is why I need to do this a blue button is A slash B, and then it's got a band and it's got menu and and You're in luck. They actually, okay, if you go to Google search right now, they even have programming, they have the manual, they have information on supplemental antennas. I just did a quick search to see what I can find. And in fact, they have the videos right here on how to tune it up. G.T., Georgia, you know, you know, gold, tango, dash, green. I'm not on internet, but it's okay. Well, hold on. It's a baseball, right? If you could just tell me how to dial that frequency. Well hold on a second because you're flying in the dark with me. I know as much as you do, my telepathy machine is off this week. So when I got to get it, we have a group that get together and we all bought one of these radios in my county. But the guy that knows how to use them, he won't, unless you go get a license, he won't help you. So anyway. Okay now is this for sure a shortwave or is this an FRS radio? No it's not a fan. 8 watt handheld purchase from Link. Okay but it's got a programmable pad. Yeah. You punch in the numbers. And my goal in this video is to include to you that this is a radio, the power. Okay, hold on a second. I'm watching as we're going, although this is a programmable radio. Okay, but it looks like it also, is it a transceiver or is it a receiver? What does it say on the box? Transceiver. Okay, that is a two-way radio. Well, you probably won't because I don't know what its bandwidth is here. Hold on, I'm going to have to do a little research. I may not even help you until I watch this video. Guy did a 16 minute and 19 second video on the radio itself. In fact, he just held the label up. Let's see, keyboard, Marconi, programmable. Yeah, I don't want to take all your time, but I just thought maybe it's something simple. I'm not... No, yours is... Everybody got the same radio. You've got a tactical signal communicat... Yeah, they've got all kinds of information on the GT if you go to YouTube. Anything you need to know about operating it... I'm looking at it right here. There's some phenomenal videos and everybody's, you know, playing with these things. So, you should be able to get everything you need so you guys can get your attack up and running. You need those radios running anyway. So you need to get everybody together sit down, pull up these videos and start watching them. Seriously, get them on a big screen. Get everybody to sit down with their radio and everybody tune them up. Okay. Okay, but that's a tack. That's right. Your channel, you were saying, you know, if I could just do one channel, it's all I'm trying. Right. These are, in fact, it doesn't go home and they show more. Give me a second. This particular, hold on, there's all kinds of videos on this, including a review on the radios themselves. It's a good point anyway because this particular... here we go. Yeah, there's an excellent one here. GT3Vs, GT3TPs, Review and Power Test. But this is for... that's for personal signal communication. This is for you talking back and forth amongst yourselves. So don't worry, you got a good rig. It looks like it's pretty diverse. They won't pick up the frequency you're saying though. No, you won't be able to probably because this is again a personal radio system. Okay, it's not a radio system. Right, what you need is an A-OK. I'll repeat this again for everybody including other new listeners. Samsung, GE, you name it. Again, Baifong make AM FM. shortwave weather marine channel radio weather channel radios they are just a regular receiver they're about the size of or as big as a cigar box but some are smaller they're just like your old AM FM radios used to have listening when you were at work or when you be bopping around or the one that's in the dash of your car but they don't just have AM and FM they also will have shortwave 1 and typically shortwave 2 that's the kind of radio you need it's a receiver though it's not a transceiver it's not for sending and receiving It's a receiver. It's like all that shortwave is that we're talking about here is a glorified longer band AM radio. That's really what it is. It's the bigger AM radio that is the mother of everything that we know is radio today. and shortwave broadcasting, everybody needs to pick one up anyway and what you want to do is go check Walmart out. I'll tell you why. They have been carrying the AM-FM shortwave 1 and 2 and weather channel emergency radios which have both a crank power source, they've got a solar panel supply on the top, and they still plug into the wall and they have an on-board battery system. You know, you can plug additional batteries in and run it at four different ways. The clockwork is, you be very careful, don't ever over wind it, but it's good for usually half an hour. Some of the new ones are good for a whole hour, but a half hour is good because, you know, you listen to how radio programs are, you listen to the top of the hour, you at the bottom of the hour, it's time for a break, you crank it up again, and you listen to the next half hour. If the solar panels are working and the batteries are up, you don't even have to worry about that. I've got the I-Fenix model and I've got the SW1 and SW2 and it's only what, 730 on the East Coast? Yeah, 640 on the East Coast right now, so I'll try it again at 8 o'clock. Very good. And again, these are receivers. You can find radios that are as small as a handheld like a pack of cigarettes. Truck drivers really like these particular rigs. because these radios because they're small, they're simple to use, if it's, like you said, well otherwise get it started. Then looking at this, the GT3TP is a handheld tactical radio. You've got a good rig, don't even think about getting rid of it, just gotta learn how to use it. You don't have to worry about doing it out in the air though, go to YouTube, punch in Beifong. In fact, punch in just your radio, GT-3TP. and I'm looking at dozens, I mean there's several videos that have been done by people. How to use it, how to plug it in, what it does, what its output is, and so you've got all kinds of information, you don't have to even worry about being on the air here with us to do this. However, I'll do that tomorrow, but I'm going to try to get the shortwave right now. I've got another radio somewhere I'm going to look for it. Right. If it's an AM and FM, it will also have a shortwave 1, SW1, SW2. Some have SW1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. It depends on how the transmitter divided up, how they worked out the engineering on it. You'll have a switch where you can go from one to the next to the next to the next. The dial, the face dial, will have a little, has usually a printout if it's the manual type like where it's just a printout. You know, it's painted on the glass. It will have the subdivisions for each of the frequencies. And the one that you want to look for is 7520 shortwave. Sound good? Yes, I got you. I'll just take me a minute to get unmuted. That's okay, very good. Again, you need to sit down. If those are still in the box looking at that radio, you bought a little more complicated piece of equipment. Like I said, you need to get everybody together. Go to somebody's house where you can put your YouTube videos on the big television screen. See, there's no sense in anybody crowding around with a little computer monitor. Go find somebody who's got a nice cable hookup, whatever. Go pull up the information on your radios. Everybody sit down with their radio. Get it out of the box, get everything unwrapped, and lay it down in front of each person so everybody has their stuff where they can find it, and go through and hook them up, because that's a priority. You can't learn it from this. This is a more sophisticated radio. It needs to be played with. You need to be working it. It's just that simple. It needs to be programmed. They're good rigs. I know guys that have used them. Alright, was that the evening rooster? Yeah, he wants food. I've got roosters. Our neighbors, I help to milk the goats. The roosters do that all the time, especially when they see me. This one's called a Jersey Giant. It's big like a turkey. Oh, that's an attack chicken. Well, he only attacks when you got your back turned. Right. He's a smart chicken. He knows his limitations, right? That's how that works. I appreciate that. A friend of mine has WAP rabbits. And you know what, I'm going to tell you, don't ever underestimate any animal people because it's kind of like in Monty Python. When I first saw this rabbit, it was 40 pounds. And he goes, that's my attack rabbit. He kind of had a smile, like a goofy smile. I said, that's my attack rabbit. And everybody thinks he's joking. And he's not joking when he says it. And the rabbit runs the yard whenever he wants to. This dog, about a little under his weight, about probably about 30 pounds, is coming across the yard. And I'm up on the roof doing a roof job for the guy that was there. I used to work with him, so I'm helping him out. I'm doing the job. I set it up for him. And anyway, looking down, here's this rabbit looking around the corner of the building, guys. and he sits back for a second and he kind of shakes himself and he looks back out there again. That dog got in the middle of the yard and you heard, ahh, the battle cry of a rabbit. He ran, he sprung in three leaps across about 40 yards. He grabbed hold of the arse end of that dog, sunk in with his front teeth, and all you heard was, woo woo woo woo! As the dog is running around in circles, the rabbit is off the ground spinning on the hunch of that dog. After the fourth or fifth spin, the rabbit let go like a sumo wrestler he rolled four or five times, lands on his feet, gets his butt moving again and you hear, RAAHHH! That dog wasn't anywhere to be found. The killer rabbit? I've seen it, lad. That'll whoop, rabbits. About 40 pounds plus, and they're vicious. So don't make any mistake about it. Get the holy hand grenade. Yeah, exactly. Time for the holy hand grenade. Oh, the holy hand grenade of Antioch. I got all these wild pigs here too. Those are useful for other things. That will help me get rid of problems when the invader shows up. I'll tell you what, let me let you. Anything else, sir? No, thank you very much. Okay, no, good point because you need to work on those radios. In fact, you need to go get the guys together, do that and then give us some feedback on what you think about the radio. Yeah, I'm Charlie Walker and this is South of Houston. Very good. Excellent. Thank you sir. And again real quick, well, oh I promised one little bit of ear candy, but the radio we're talking about here is the GT-3TP. It's a Bayfong radio, pretty popular, a lot of guys are using them. You can get it colored, or in other words yellows, blues, they make them in green, I've seen those, and they make them in black. Most guys buy black, but whatever color you got, hey, sometimes the colors are cheaper. You know what? There's no difference in the radio. So if you can get the radio for $5 or $8 cheaper, that's $8 worth of something else you can buy. So if you've got to, if they're cheaper, if they're in like dark orange or in green, buy that color. There's no difference in the factory about how that radio went together. If it says GT-3TP, it's all the same radio. That's fine. Watch for the price shift though. I've seen that. You know, silver costs $3 more. Really? Why? That was we were joking about that. I remember earlier this year, you know, like with the micro FM stations, they want like three to seven dollars more because it's silver. It's like, oh no, buy the black, save the money, we need more batteries or we need more antennas or we need more something. Take the money and spend it. You'll still spend it on the same company, but you'll spend it on something else. Anyway, again, if you go to Wal-Mart, you know, Wally World, you can go to any Best Buy, they have the AM-FM shortwave and they'll usually be subdivided either twice or six times or whatever. Either they'll say shortwave one and two or they'll say shortwave one through six. Again, you want to make sure that it's a fully opened up radio. Got to watch that too because some radios used to restrict so that they would be picking up only European and African shortwave because it's evil for you to listen to American shortwave broadcasting. Did you know that? You didn't know that? Well, that's the mindset that they took. So you want to make sure that it's a fully opened up radio that will handle all of the frequencies that we broadcast here too. How can you tell? You're going to have to look at the box to actually read, check to see what it says, and you also want to, if need be, say hey, let's pull one, look at the, if they've got a demo model, like Best Buy has a demo model, pull that demo model out and check if it's digital, you're going to have to run it through and spec it. Example, when Free Play first brought their crankable, you know, crank radios into the country, everybody thought it was a great idea, and they are. But the first ones they brought in were Euro and African specific and they couldn't receive American frequencies. If they said that on the label, how would it be worded? It probably would say just that. European frequency designation, it will be somewhere in the subcodes like in some secondary line or paragraph on the box. Oh, okay. But most are opened up. That's what I'm saying. If you go to one of the companies, Ideally, check the demo. Say, hey, let's turn this on. What? Well, it powers up, doesn't it? Okay, well, let's find out what it does. And again, what you do is go to WWCR in red line on the internet, punch up their frequencies, write them down, and when you go to the store, double-check to make sure the radio covers that bandwidth. That's the way to do it. Good question, how would you know? They used to actually put a flag on them. But also, what's interesting is you see with all the international barriers stuff that was going on years ago, well, after Nafangat even, a lot of stuff came in that was engineered and very narrow engaged based upon how they were trying to control things. Before the internet was uncontrollable, which is why they want to control it again, they used to be anal retentive control freaks about radios guys because they understood the value of on-time information. Whenever they can have only three networks or four networks and nobody could filter anything or nobody could find anything else, that was great for the other side. We're way past that now. So the same is true with radio. We've got to start moving. We're going to pump it hard. We've got to start moving as quick as we can. People have been thinking for some reason they can wait till the last minute and to a degree, who else? Maybe this is, I mean, Deutsche Bank tomorrow, whatever. I'm not getting excited about that because whatever happens, that's so big that it's like we're not going to be able to do anything about that. What we need to do is make sure we dot all the I's and cross all the T's in our preparations. Whatever we get hit with, we can roll with a punch, but we've got to have signal up. The other thing is shortwave receivers only. Just shortwave transceivers. Guys, if you got one, pull her out, make sure you at least got a wire run. I've talked about that before. Go to the internet, go to YouTube, punch in shortwave radio assembly or shortwave deployment or antenna, shortwave antenna deployment, whatever you want to punch in, and start doing some research. The simple wire is so ridiculous, there's no reason for you not to have them up. In fact, like I said, what we do is we've actually set them up and leave them in places all over the area here. Out in the middle of nowhere. High ground, but out in the middle of nowhere. Hook the radio right up. Double check to make sure the insulators are in place. Make sure a branch hasn't dropped the wire. And then once you know everything's set up and still the way you left it, take your antenna, hook it up here, radio and broadcast. When you're done unhook, walk away. go to your next one. Never broadcast twice from the same location if you're in a situation like that or if things develop. In other words, opsec, operational security and always keep the enemy guessing. So ideas, not just complaining about the problems. And again, YouTube guys, lots of videos if it's a common radio, even if it's not a common radio, all these handhelds pretty much Everybody has done videos on their favorite toy. You may not find a hundred videos, but you at least find some videos on the subject, which is fine because what we're looking for is trying to make sure that we can again support the equipment and understand it. And you've also got to get to using it now before we get into trouble. One other thing on radios, the chain feed and feed in mill stores. Menards is here in Michigan in the Midwest. Menards, they have hand-held FRS radios for $11.99 a pair with a discount. They've been doing a store-wide 14% or 10% discount depending on where you are, on everything. Well, that means that the handhelds are about $14 or $13 a set. They only have two radios typically in Menards, two types, but they're definitely worth checking out. The cheaper one is serviceable. I'm testing a model right now that we just bought from there. It's got about four or five sets and they all talk to each other. They're all the same radio. They're all the same bandwidth. They all work the same. And the idea is that for an inexpensive radio where you can walk in with your credit card at the last minute and outfit everybody with a radio, that's an option. Or if you need one right now, if you're, I don't want to go through the Chinese and wait for it in the mail. Okay, well, check out all your chain stores. Watch, as I've said, the truck stops for distressed merchandise. More and more, the truck stops are putting markdown bins together. Now, they didn't used to have, but maybe one or two places to do that. Now, because like our driver said earlier, the economy is in the tanks and spots, they've got a lot of inventory they want to get out because there's stuff they're supposed to purchase to replace it. So getting hold of FRS radios, that's a very affordable way to do it. Some truck stops, mostly the older private ones, not the chains, have a wider selection of radios, both handheld receivers and transmitters. and you never know what you're going to find at a place like that so you need to check them out and see what they have available. Okay. Oh, let's see, next. And somebody was asking, okay, again, CenterfireSystems.com, CenterfireSystems.com, that's where the AK mags and those PIPI-ish submachine gun kits are. They're in the top scroll if you look there. For the chest pouches and the shoulder, or forgive me, on the assault rigs that I told you about, airsoftgi.com and it's tack space nine space blems. That's where you want to go. Didn't get to your canyon, aren't going to have time, don't worry about it. Also again with regard to ammo, guys if you're going to store it, invest in TPU Ziploc bags. If you're going to do individual boxes, Ziploc bag the individual 20 round box. If you're buying sporting ammunition especially. you're going to put in an ammo can. Now why is this? Well is that 20 round box waterproof? No, probably not. The .50 caliber can is, or the .30 caliber can you're putting it in. So when you're in a situation, do you think you're probably going to be kind of rustic? You're going to be out in the middle of the woods, maybe out on the farm, maybe you took that one ammo can and two rifles and you got somebody in a position you've set up for security. It's going to be raining, it's going to be snowing. It's like Michigan right now, it's raining outside right now. You lift up that ammo can, you open it up, and it rains pittering in there. What does moisture do to your brass and your bullets? Now if you prepack all the stuff in, it's one Ziploc bag per box, and then you pack them back into the ammo can. When you open up that box, there may be a little bit of moisture that will get in there, but it's not going to affect the boxes you don't use when you shut the can back up. Let me point out, have you ever had moisture in an ammo can and locked it in? What's that can look like on the inside after you come back in a few weeks? Because, oh yeah, I opened that up and oh my god, there's rust in it, oh! So, prior to proper planting prevents piss poor performance. The cans are painted on the inside, they should be okay. But they become a sweat box, a locker for a combination of oxygen and, you know, again, moisture, H2O. which has the oxygen in it, the oxidants work, the carbon, anything that can oxidize, the brass, the copper, whatever, is going to do just that. So let's prevent that from happening and let's not lose any ammo by weatherizing all of our combat loads. Weatherize your packs. Let me give you an example. When we load a FSKS stripper clips, a lot of you know this, we use either the Chinese chest pouches or we use the chest pouches that I just mentioned at CenterfireSystems.com, which by the way, those are great. They're polyester cotton combo, in fact, I think they're mostly just polyester. They don't rot. They're non-rot material. They're cool. They're probably 100% polyester. You can slap me for that one. But I don't know what the trimming edge material is, because it can be a combination with a low amount of cotton for flexibility. However, When we load those pockets up, I take three SKS stripper clips, properly lay them so that they're facing alternate to each other, two one-direction, one in the opposite in the middle, put those inside a Ziploc bag, put the Ziploc bag inside the pocket, and then snap the pocket shut. Yes, each one of those pouches is loaded, but each one of those pouches is loaded in such a way that the ammunition is not compromised if they're pulled out of that can, or if the can is opened and closed and it was monsoon season. Hopefully the ammunition is given a little bit more barrier time. It might survive or be still useful, even if there is a little moisture in there. Again, multiple tiered protection from the environment is a military thing, proven through the decades. and learn through hard lessons and horrible mistakes that have cost lives. Hey Mark. So prior proper planning prevents that. Go ahead, call or jump in there. Yeah, what about like the little cell phone packages that get from different things? It'll help keep things dry, right? You mean using different pouches, different types of pouches? Or packs? Yeah, okay, like, you know how, like in the pill bottle, the water bill will... Oh yes, yes, yeah. Oh, absolutely. The pill bottles are watertight for what reason, drugs? So they're great. I save all of the vitamin bottles. Right. Okay. There's like little pouches inside of them that help keep the air dry so the pills don't stick together. Yes. And those all should be saved. Absolutely. That's a desiccant. That's what those are. That's a desiccant pouch. And those are either silica gel, for food they almost all would be silica gel. I doubt that they're iron filings. But they're silica gel pellets and they definitely should be saved and used wherever you can. If you're in an industrial site, a lot of times when you get stuff coming in even from overseas, there'll be those little desiccant packets all through stuff. Guys save them, put them in a Ziploc bag to tighten them up and keep them dry and use them for your gear, use them for your equipment, for storage. Distribute them through your equipment the same way to protect your stuff. Absolutely. Good point there. Thank you for bringing that up. The other thing is that the containers themselves There's green, there's blue, there's solid colors, of course whites and yellows kind of stand out. But there is winter operations, so white is kind of handy on occasion to have stuck away from when you need it for the season. So again, be creative, think in advance. Wherever you can scavenge stuff where you are at a workplace and something comes in and there's a repetition of it in mass, try to see if you can work that in. If it's free, it's best. Ziploc bags, industrial strength Ziploc bags. Tons of those come through certain places where everything is packed up, you have to unpack it and then you put it in the trays, then they index it in the machine. If you've got somebody who has a factory job like that and they can bring those Ziploc bags home, anytime they can save space in the dumpster, companies usually like that. They just have to sign off on it. And in many cases, they won't even care. It's like, you want the bags? Sure, you can have all of them. Take them. Those are Ziploc bags that are typically heavier than the ones that, in fact, if you have to go buy them, you'll find out. They are a very different price. But if you can get the better quality, heavier gauge vinyl bags or the rainproof or windproofs as they call them, grab them. and then put the stuff in those. In the ammo cans, the idea is that you have tiers of protection, levels of protection. Your boxes typically are not waterproof, although some of them might be cello wrapped or might be plaster wrapped. Yeah, that's just another tier of protection, so take the Ziploc bag and put it over top all that, seal it, shut and burp it, put it back in the can. Man, your ammo is protected now. Good double plus thumbs up thing. Why not? But do what you can, however you can, to create weather. Combat weather is very different. You're not going to get to shut off the rain. But stuff happens 24-7. It's going to be night and day. You may think it was protected and a little blop or water got in there. Well, let's make sure that little mistake that wasn't your fault, that that doesn't cost us material that otherwise we could have used to kill Ching Li. Because when Ching Li shows up we want to put bullets in him until there ain't no Ching Li's to kill. You know what I mean? Just that simple. Anyway, we are at the top and by the way, BC, Liberty Bible Art coming up next, guys. Don't you touch the dial here at all. You get ready for another program coming up on Liberty Tree Radio. God bless the Republic. There we go. We shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen. The Empire is on the run. Well, we're in the mark, stay nice. U-Ra. U-Ra, guys. Need your help? Again. 7520 shortwave. Use your AMFM. shortwave receivers. That's what you want to use. If you don't have one, you all need to buy one, guys. Look for a good one. Do a little research. We are going to take off for now.
