If you work, perfect that skill. like anything else in your life, you know, everybody out there listening has a certain area of expertise. How did you get there? Focus on the basics because I guarantee, especially everybody, well we need to go to the audemits. You'll get those when the time comes, but even then, who would I give them out to? Anybody here at work, I would first ask anybody here who operated an M60, a MAG 58 or a saw gun. He's not gonna get it because I wanted to spray him. Be a saw gunner again. Squadronmatic weapons support. Even in the semi-auto mode, like I've said, you give a guy an AR-15, put the Tinta Doom on it, a 20-inch AR with a bull barrel on it, a good fixed one, although a Clippy Bipod will work just as well. Congratulations. Bob's job, Bob is now the suppression fire, you know, crewman. He's a saw operator. Your job with that 100-round, that 100-round drum is to suppress and use 3- to 5-round bursts. Make it sound like an auto, and it won't be hard to do. And hit. Bob's supposed to aim and hit too, but Bob's gonna every time he sees a cluster of something that looks like it's a prop. Keep their heads down a little bit. You'll need to dump a cone of fire onto that target. All the rest of you are riflemen. I don't care what kind of rifle you got, but your job is to aim, not to spray and pray, not to dump lead down range. Number one, we're not the government. We plan on taking from the enemy everything they've got and stripping them bare ass naked when we're done, but we're not the government. We got the thinkers. They got the stinkers. They're terrified of the idea that you will all embrace this policy. I'm telling you that right now. Why do you think they pump up all these BS movies, guys? Because, you know, they figure you will all mimic and parrot what they've thrown out there. The last thing they want is for anybody that's like, well, who was successful? Well, let's put it this way. Oh, American Sniper. Did he use an M4 or an M1 carbine or some little short rifle and a tiny rifle, light rifle, to do what he was doing? Time and again. And he wasn't spitting both down range all over the place. about it, everybody embraces that, everybody is going to be able to. And like we said, certain people might have a little better mission statement they can do, point you towards. And that's why you, a team leader, a fire team leader, a squad leader, the platoon leader, the company commander, that's what you're supposed to do. Find out what your expertise is amongst you, and not some puffed up bravado garbage. What did you actually do? Okay, what were you doing in the past? What is your experience? Because we're gonna have to gravitate initially, especially to do a better job. People who have done certain tasks need to gravitate to them. And I'm not talking management, I'm talking as far as weapons and equipment and support operations. If you were a medic in the past, and I know it's like I said, the doctors are like this. The doctors that are joining are joining because they're tired of the stuff and they know they're going to have to fight to save themselves. Now I'm going to have to take people, it'll be like going to a shooting game range. I'm going to have to stake out a couple of the enemy, put them on rope, and run around in circles and take Doc out and let him shoot him so he feels good, but I'm not going to let Doc so they can go out and kill more chingley. A radio geek. A radio geek is more valuable provided he stays focused and he really is a radio geek. He's more valuable in this house town. They destroyed his radio station. Tronic shop. They brought the euros in and they've stolen everything. Pissed. Well, I'm gonna do the same thing. I'll stake out some UN troops, put them out around a tether, have them dance around in circles with an airsoft duct tape with their hands. I'll take them out and see them right there. Shoot them. There you go. You feel better? Alright, you did the job. Let's get back to the radios. Yep, you got a couple of them. Where are those secret police that were doing that mass murder stuff over there? Shoot them in the gut. Shoot them in the gut. There you go. Secret police, you got some? Oh, yeah, people were trying to keep alive that would do a better job. Never had the designation. I'm sure the AR stands for... The nomenclature where it stands in the order of production. It's model 1-5. The AR-180 is actually the AR-8, the M-18. In fact, its designation is designated. Everybody says it's an auto, like, arm-a-like rifle, automatic rifle. or assault rifle, which is, again, the nomenclature and the battery line is where there's confusion. Example, because, as I've said, there's the AR-15, model 15 of rifle. There's also an M-15. Remember there was the M-14? Well, people get confused because there was an M-15. That's not the AR-15. That's the squad automatic version of the M-14 rifle. So the same would apply for the M-16 then, right? The AR-15 was the civilian designate, the M16 is the model 16, you know, that particular, in the battery of weapons developed in its category, the M16 was the next designation for the battle rifle as implemented and adopted. Example, again, there's the M16, before it there's the M15. Just to go over the description, it's a squad automatic rifle weapon that is the, it's the counterpart to the M14. It has a heavier barrel, it has a chubbier stock. You set the key in place and leave it because the M14 has a key to control select fire. It could shut off your select fire. They could designate it, that was the original idea, but then they realized they needed a heavier barrel, they needed a chubbier stock, the M5 weapon and inventory. The M17 is actually the stoner. The designation for each of these, either in civilian circles, they pull it out of their arse, whatever the number is. In reality, it was still the idea that the Armalite rifle designs many different systems and our designation stuck that way. The M series of weapons, like the M1 Grand, M2 Carbine, the M1, M2, 3, M3 Carbine, see there's a battery of rifles there in line. Carbine designation makes them separate. There were other areas of weapons, several of those weapons were never either adopted in large numbers, but they were given a designation because they were in limited production. The M1 Grand. At a given point, it gets kind of monotonous because you get all up into these really high numbers. Well, the Army just started, well, no, correction. The Air Force just started doing this because we now have a C-17, right? Well, remember we had a C-130, we had a C-120, we had a C-121. Okay, we got to a certain point and they decided to just re-index everything and start over again. ask everybody, you do understand there's a C, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 12, oh, yeah. This is where it gets confusing, but it's not. In other words, they build stuff, crank it out, give it a designation, and run it in production for limited experimental use. If they like it, they keep it. If they don't, it gets faded off or gets set to the side, but used until it's broken and completely, and then they let it go. Now on that note, it's like I said, something interesting. The A-9 and the A-10. The A-10, everybody knows, guys. That's the A-10 Warthog, right? That's the one that everybody loves. You know, they want to call it the Grey Goose, but they, oh, we can't call it the Warthog. They give it other names, you know, whatever. The A-10. And guess who built it by the toe? Go find the A-9 attack aircraft that was built at the same time that the A-10 was. Then go look at the ground attack aircraft. and you'll know where it was finally built. We perfected it. How did that happen during the Cold War? Almost like everybody was sliding stuff under the fence and giving it to the other side. I didn't they got it. Yeah. Yeah, right. They did. So heads up on that. Again, a lot of the nomenclature when they designate the reason there's so many numbers, there are pieces of equipment that were never completely, or they were in limited production then they were phased. Let me give you an example. You said before, after the end of World War II, the Browning M250 caliber, everybody's familiar with, but you know that there was an M, or forgive me, 60 caliber machine gun that was adopted. Not only was it adopted, but for 10 years it was an issue in the US military. How many people do you know operated a 60 caliber machine gun? Have you looked it up? You realize that all the munitions even were sold surplus for it? 60 caliber ammunition was available in surplus and components were available. In fact, even up until about 15 years ago, you could still find a couple of the reloading companies projectiles and in some cases they had actual case that were the correct factory produced cases from 1953, 1954. However, Gunn never truly locked down, although it was in production, they kept it in use, they didn't get rid of it. It stayed in production for a period of time and then just kind of faded away. I would point out that, wait a minute, the Russians made a 12 a 12.7 machine gun. Why were there two different, different designated calibers? Like, be very efficient. There are two different, yet still in service, calibers that were almost the same. Our project and programs, well they were. It was handing stuff over to the Russians, weren't they? And the 14.5. Right, that's the next one up. That's where you get to the bigger cannons, or the low cannon size. The 14.5 and then the 20s. You're putting stuff around and trying to make the brain juices flow. You're curious, the M15. There is enough write up. If you actually do a little research on it, don't expect Google to do much for you. You're going to have to do some book reading. You can also find some better text on the M14 program, and that's where you'll find out more about the M15. The program was adopted, and even though it kind of faded as the M14 was going on a primary service and the M16 was being put in Vietnam, what happened is they did not continue to maintain the M15s in their specialty role, but rather tended to take the BIPOC pods off and just put them on the rifle rack the same issue to them 15 more than a few times and worked as a stick weapon gunner. What the hell? We dressed the back up. We had two of them. We dressed them back up in the unit, properly outfitted them, and we had them in service just like a BAR, which is what they were supposed to serve as, the equivalent to the Browning automatic rifle, but in an M14. Now don't confuse us to the M14 E2, A2, E2. That was a totally different program. but it was designed to take advantage of the H-bar M15 Brin to that east mode, but more for a heavy assault gun. In other words, basically the BAR all over again. Projects there, they weren't really confusing us. Just remember, there's a lot of nomenclature flying around because sub-programs and sub-sub-programs, and there was money flying around for projects in one direction, and then somebody would drop money for another. Again, they may only make 600, or maybe, well, the typical production was 600 pieces. But they could make more, and then they also would sell them or give them to allies. Example, during the Cold War, Holland was very much in progress with our Dutch Army military with regard to what they embraced and generally their combat equipment to include artillery and armor. Typically it's like if we adopted it, it would be a natural extension for them to buy it. Where they made a major split is Holland bought the AR-10. when the US military went against and that rifle almost today. That would be a history book issue. The AR-10 in 308 was built in large production numbers for Dutch Army, out to the colonial, the former colonial assets, and then went to other NATO weapons for their standard. So that's how all those kits showed up. Anyway, I don't need it in the heart of a rifle for you.
