Summary
Mark Koernke discussed tactical combat principles, comparing hand-to-hand fighting techniques to military operations, emphasizing the importance of targeting vulnerable systems rather than frontal assaults. He covered armored vehicle vulnerabilities, particularly the unarmored sensor packages on tank turrets, and explained how small arms fire could disable vehicles by targeting these critical components. The show featured extensive discussion of handgun selection, revolver safety features including the hammer block mechanism, magazine stacking techniques, and the practical applications of various firearms for personal defense and field operations.

The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost. You're no more than a slave of three. The brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught. According to this, you read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and see family farms and keep our country deep. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit so their children will be. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores. Send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. You regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear? Both sons of the republic arise. Defend the Constitution, the supreme law of the land. Preserve our great republic and each god given right. Winery down here at the bottom of the state, Woodslack and Unact the Woods was just jumping off the wall, please. You could pretty much say the same thing. Winter is back here on the second day of the year of our Lord Tutank. It's close in O'Hagan. in one hand with an empty magazine well and a full magazine in the other hand we're going to touch that slide release and there's one in the chamber now that's a hot gun man that means we can offer equal opportunity for super wars. So what's what particular anything you want to cover right now go ahead please. The national gun shedding all of its heavy armor, mobile artillery that's all they're gonna have they're over there the commander says well this is because hard to move around in the woods back in Washington. So in case there's any natural We love our... On this the other day, but this needs to be elaborated on. He's talking about giving goods to the countryside to affect the, uh, citizenry in one way, shape or form. That old ass piece of natural. Navy did with the new, the, the K model of the CH-53. So much bigger and we can, we don't need to unload pads. That means we can move stuff of natural to men. There are boots on the ground. And again, a bigger helicopter helps. That bigger helicopter would either one of the missions, rational guard, unable to go with their tanks and their ascent of bass backwards because, you know, down tracks actually are very desirable when it comes to cross-country out there. Then that crack road that, you know, that guy that lives way back there and he hasn't been into town in seven foot, he's got all he needs way back there. And even if the earth shaves and rattles, he still got all he needs back there and he doesn't need any help but to get to him. Understand the point here. Yeah, the Stryker is a pig, as far as vehicles go to, by the way. If they haven't been paying attention a lot of the imagery, their suspension system was minimally engineered. Battle hook is exaggerated with regard to what people throw on it. It's a wheeled vehicle, so it's highly automotive. This is really what they're looking at. At least they'd up. Have you ever seen the films, you guys, of the Germans leaving that one city in Cyprus as fast as they can? And the one German truck? I mean, that's almost a balancing act for that driver because in another instant the wrong move and that truck is sliding on its side if not rolling over. The heaters are very much the same way. The thing is they're automotive in that they're great for speed. In other words, they can move themselves. Truly what the emphasis here is to be able to get out there to the peasantry and sit with three pieces of equipment that really aren't that well-built. They come in and sold them the bag of lemons and the idea behind this is the downtime when it comes to deploying against the population as a police state. That's really what it's all about. Vehicles are superior for cross-country or for utility work because they distribute the weight more efficiently. Typically a lower center of gravity. In general, they are available to application. Only advantage that the striker proposes is automotive component for house, those highways and expressways and the, oh wait a minute, what was that? Interstate highway network. that expedites getting to places inside. Another thing that we touched on, and this relates over to a communications Tuesday, we talked on this yesterday, and it goes over, if you ever hear the word saddle, it might be in a particular place, or someone might come back to you and mention this word. Again, situational awareness. We've talked about situate around, know what's going on, you know, even if it's crinkled paper around your bed. This is a real good thing to be aware of, and I know I'm being redundant in the use of that word. but when you hear sad awareness, the acronym is in there, anytime you can interrupt that, anytime you can deny your opponent information. You know, there's a, there's a, there's, it's kind of a, it's commercial arts and whatnot, but it's basically, you're, you're, it's almost like a punch. If your hand moves forward like a punch, you're extending your hand sideways so that you might strike your opponent's face that's right across his eyes. And it's just like, it's a punch, but it's It's a flat hand. What it's meant to do is into the eye. And that really just 40 seconds to the heart. The hit is how it is to that. Deny them, that visual information for maybe eight seconds if somebody like this. They can't really see anything. They can see shapes in their eyes or water and like a fire hydrant. At least a maybe 30. Your opponent, that information for that short time in a handfight, your opponent can take advantage of it, see. The same thing works on a grand scale and this goes over to humble science fiction, you know, outstanding in the door and the working guns and computer, satellite access to do whatever. I'm probably going to be the guy in the door after the guy's working. You can deny motion of information to your opponent. Any time you can deny eyes to your opponent, minute or an hour, it's a real good thing, isn't it? Well, one of the interesting things about especially blinding the opponent look at that in a number of different ways from a technical or mechanical process of doing so, eyes and ears, using countermeasures. Again, use laser. Laser is one of those things that you'll think it's either for spotting or for a form of signal communication with laser, direct laser point to point. Well, blind the opponent with all of this technology is an example of a variation on what Don just described in hand-to-hand combat, being able to even momentarily disrupt you to be able to do something that not only has he never seen before, ability to observe. You don't need to blind them indefinitely for the time it takes to deploy an action of some kind. For combat it's if you can't see any other punch you make from that point forward, give you the opportunity to deliver crippling contact. Think the same way with laser and with electronic countermeasures with a military pulse on the idea that rather than developing purse fighters that they have, counting on specialized adaptive technology that becomes a significant happens with when with middle or low tech, you see that high tech idea, you know, stick in the eye. So you're not supposed to think that way. The thing that we should emphasize over and over again, the regime has always told the world about the big book, and they want their people to be thinking that whatever they've got is the latest best thing to slice away bread, and nobody's ever thought of how to develop it or defeat it. And what you've got is the best of the world. blah blah blah until you come up with something against somebody who actually plans on trying to live to see the next day and they've already figured out how to deal with the problem and the aggressors of course especially once we're facing they are high-tech pacifier people guys blind them the sooner that you can deafen them you need to do so randomly and at your discretion those punches and when you need to you don't have to be throwing punches constantly down right just one good punch gets it done I have to break into the boxing world long time. You might remember that fellow. I got a lot of respect. If you look at Larry Holmes, you have to have respect. You know what I mean? Found himself in a place where he was losing the fight or he was being pressed. He'd introduce his thumb into your eye. And a number of fights because of that, the opponent could not come back out. And guess what? Because of that? Again, I got a lot of respect for the physical ability of the man. You can't deny it. Look at it like two. And he got in a bad way. And this is some of the back talk. Holmes was a thumber. is one of the reasons why in that time frame and still boxing was gloves on the internet and review fights and but if you do this for yourself you'll find out that Tom doesn't make really happy that one of the last fights that we're on he was about to I think Marciano's 48 wins and he lost I'm really happy because again it wasn't that one so many fights had they brought in right to your thumb can't be extended to be your record that was an accident many, many times. And it is an example of what we're trying to, what we are trying to, don't forget the idea of only just poking him in the eye with the thumb. I mean, you had to guys are professional boxers about the size of the person. Now, instead of applying the weight and energy of that towards an area the size of a glove, a bit more of a power to on top of everything, I think the same way with regard to engaging your enemy, you don't have to try and beat with him. You're not trying to, you know, think two ghosts going on each other head on. going at each other head on. We're not applying that kind of energy and it's not just casual in terms of our economy. A more focused amount of energy, very narrow point. Again, we have to look at dynamics. This is the one thing everybody's expecting. Guys, in many cases are very dusty fireball. There's no, you know, all kinds, nothing like that. Be a very dull experience of equipment is what we're doing. And it's just something that doesn't appear to be a whole lot. One of the reasons why they keep leaving the rings in the lake And in the clinch, you could rip here as if you were pushing your opponent back, but if you did it in just the right way, that's what Kate is for now, to protect your opponent's eyes. And it's a gentlemanly. A new, julistic performance brought to its perfection. Yes. Well, we know how that works. Of course, I did a little fight, whether it's weight gloves on, five-ounce gloves, 16-ounce gloves, or an M16 in your hand. A fight is a fight, you guys. Realize this. A lot of things become interchangeable. taking what we're talking about, because people go, well what does that have to do with modern combat? Well guys, we pointed this out. You've got all these, very impressive, they really are. They don't want you to think about something. You don't have to butt head with the frontal armor of a tank to make it pretty much useful. Even the side or back armor of a tank. Let's acknowledge something. Have weapon systems become progressively more accurate and accurate to grip ranges in the weapon system that everybody brags about, show up, you know, the different improvements had brought up the potential of bursting mechanized or shoulder-fired heavy weapon system available. Now let me point something out about locking on the armor level. An office of Bradley, I don't care if it's a French command tank, Leclerc, Leclerc, or if it's the British tank, German tank, guys, they all have a bread box. That bread box on the roof is a big chunk of metal that stands very pronounced by the way. your onboard fire control for that main gun and for a lot of your other equipment. Now I'm going to tell you that your tank, you know, if you had a lesser gun, if you had a 23 millimeter needle shot, you had a 50 caliber, or if you have whatever, take your pick, you're not going to punch through the front armor of that tank. You're not. It's just, we know that. Okay. We accept that. Well, some of the smaller gauge, you know, the cannon weapons, they do have penetration, so they can actually do some damage, you know, depending on how they hit. But why bother? With the potential first-strike accuracy of most weapons, if everybody were to focus their fire on that bread box on the roof of that Abrams, the roof of that Shintank or that newer French Leclerc or that newer Leppard or that newer whatever, your hits, every one of them would be so significant as to virtually take the mechanical threat into that. What did I just do with my glove? I can box him in the face, I mean I can hit him in the front, I can do no damage because I'm a lightweight, he's a heavyweight. You know what, if I take that thumb on my glove, stick it right in his eyeball bread box there, and I mean, guys, you're talking about chewing the stuff up that makes it possible for them to see. It's what actually regulates their, you know, the laser rangefinder, all the rangefinder technology. That box on the roof is not armored, and in fact has to be a key environment in order for it to operate. You can't see through steel. You see my point? Now this was so sensitive that about 10 years ago when they were releasing any videos of all the research being done and by the way the French were the first to start really pushing the bread box design with their latest tank and not very much so sensitive to hitting the image on the roof of the turret and I kept asking people I said why is it they don't want you to see that in the close-ups? Why is it they don't want you to look at that? Well the reason is because Sensitive part of the vehicle and it has little to no armor potential So if I'm gonna fire on an armored vehicle everybody says well Oh, what good would it do to use small arms guys the American World War two policy pretty well spent in place everybody fires Everybody fires on the armor. Now. Here's why it is an armored vehicle I'm not trying to get through the soft chewy infantry on the inside or should say tread heads the mechanism What I'm trying to do is damage all breakable parts and there's a lot of slots of small All those things that are attached, let's put it this way. You hit one of those mag 58 machine guns or that Browning 50 on the roof even where it's part armored, depleted uranium or an eight. Hooray! Hooray! It costs you a whopping $3 to knock out a secondary support weapon but a primary anti-infantry weapon. You shoot the side barrel on a tank. You do the same thing you do with our cavalry. Yeah. No thinking, no washing. Yeah, you make the real... When they push the... The fact of the matter is that none of these things would look very exciting. None of them are going to have any balls of flame. But you're going to notice that the vehicle stops and then hesitates and drops out of action real quick. Blinded, it can't do anything for its buddies. You do more damage to it once it's blind and it has to plot around. This is in front of you. You can deal with weapons that are more... Here we are. But if you're out and about, winter is not over yet, so make sure you take your cold weather gear with you. We had that deception here in Michigan with that nice warm weather that was nice enough. Donna actually got a painting done outside. It was amazing. Take advantage of what you can do while you can do it. Cool situations, focus on indoor projects to get little things done and out of the way, especially for combat gear. or any maintenance work you got to do on radio equipment will be new and you got that plugged in did you get that done because I've already gotten onto somebody's case here this last we know meeting this last week pretty straightforward and it's simple well it needs to be accomplished get it done get out of the way once it's finished you're done you're set same with it that you get to work with it you make you know anyway Don what else you got for us jump in there please we can run in a number of directions it is the weapons Wednesday and we could talk about stacking in your magazines, you know, the same thing works in your revolver. We haven't brought this one to the hour in a long time. A lot of people with a cowboy gun, you know, that's kind of a misnomer. They wanna carry that revolver with nothing in one chamber and they hammer down on that chamber for safety. You know, that's a pretty good thing if you've got a gun in the rest of the world. But after about 1920 in America, most revolvers adopted something that came in on the turn of the last century, you know, and maybe that's not the case. Some guys figured out that speaking there, This piece of metal that jumps up here between the hammer and, you know, the primer, only moves and the trigger, fold as it came to the market, is the hammer the hammer device. And this guy, he would drive people crazy in the gun world when he first threw a six bullet at them. Yeah, uh-huh. Closed the hammer on one, and then would strike the hammer, hammer the hammer, with a hammer, and the bullet wouldn't go off. Almost every handgun built in America, every, every reaching 20 has this feature. what is that called, was adapted to a real cool thing and brought a, I know someone and we had this discussion years back, he got rid of this .357 because he didn't have any safety on it. Point it in the safe direction. You're holding onto the gun, drawing that hammer back with him, right? Looking down into that void, right? That where the, you know, you're creating a void there. You see the hammer, pointing into that area. And you're seeing this little piece of metal, it almost seems to be falling out of the way of the hammer. You see that? And it has that feature known as hammer the hammer and you shouldn't be too, it shouldn't be a problem to carry, you know, reloaded sticks. Things like, you know, you bring it forward and you let it rest and that goes over to the frame, go off half cock, but because it's not supposed to happen. The hammer is resting on that plate all day long with a five pound sledge. The only way that gun is gonna fire is with that, count your handgun if you think I've been, I got a six shooter and I've been carrying five in it for years just for my own personal safety and those around the hammer feet are gunning again, in America after 1920 and it came here probably after around 1940 because that went almost uni. Saw that as such a tremendous thing in the refault. We want that will pay and they get it became a real common thing in the wheel gun world. If you know check that out look at your gun and if you've got a six cylinder there's no point in just carrying five in there is there Mark? You can hit your opponent six times only hitting them five is there let's go to a spot line if it takes six hits and I only got five basic rule again It's just one more round. It might be the round that counts. Now along that same plot line, at the top of the hour, we talk about frowning in that 1911. I've had a number of people over the years, you carry that gun around with one in the chamber. Yeah, I do. There's the safety. The safety's on. There's so many different ways, so many different mechanical things that have to happen to that gun before it moves that in such a way that it strikes that primer fast enough that it's that chemical reaction and that fast burn and then it burns it. That's one of the safest slides. made safer and the government would like it to have an electronic ring or your, you know, dictation to the ring or the watch or the wrist doesn't make the gun any safer, it only makes it usable by one person or does it. In that instance it makes the gun necessarily settle my gun to Joe over there. He doesn't have the ring or the, what, you see the logic there. 1911, one in the chamber, the safety on, no problem. you deny yourself the ability and this goes back to that. If you need to hit them six times and you've only got five punches in you, talk about, we mentioned stacking your magazine. You do the same thing with the cylinder of that wheel gun and we bring this to the eye now and then because it needs to be in scenarios, the gun might come up and you might want to send if your handgun will cycle. You might want to have one of those in the chamber and a couple of those in the top of the magazine because well, after a while, somebody that's being shot at, they tend to realize they're being shot at and they try to hide behind you. You shouldn't try not to be hit. Right. Now plaster walls really aren't going to slow down that hollow point. He's got a leather vest and a leather coat and some other things that might go through that car door and you might hit him with part of that bullet and they might go through that leather and where is a whole metal jacket is going to be talked about this. And if you're, you know, that's one good thing about wheel guns. You can almost put anything. You can see the wheel gun almost anything. When that cylinder rolls up and it's indexed, when it's ready to go, it doesn't have to cycle. That's one good thing about a wheel gun. Again, much like green screen and thermal, each has its own advantages. Wheel guns have their advantages and I don't deny it. I'm not sitting here bad mouthing wheel guns. Don't get me wrong. Don't get me wrong. Speed loaders are a real good thing. And now we start to get more helpers that carry the cylinder on a crane. You can use the speed or let's blanket all revolvers as cowboy guns, that's not true, is it? You really can't reload them with a traditional, more modern revolver. You can't reload them with a cylinder and just pop their keys on a mission. I'm not eriding wheel guns at all, you guys, if that's what you got. Or in the air, or whatever, we need to have five to get past that. And Mark, I need to put the dog out. I'll be back in just a moment, okay? Well, things about, again, hand cannons, as we've pointed out time and time and time again, guys, any hand cannons and a sharp 20 object because, you know, for close defense, they hand-done. They were to suppress the enemy until you can get to a heavier weapon. Whether or not it's a 25 automatic or a 29 with an 8-inch barrel and you feel like Dirty Harry and or a machine pistol and you're blazing away like you're a James Bond bad guy with a scorpion submachine gun that has unlimited magazine that never seems to add, it still comes down to aggressor at greater distance the idea that if this is good, then is a good solution of any kind, shocks, superiority, and fire power. Having a handgun is a personal defense. This is what's referenced as a personal defense tool. Can you take them into battle as a primary weapon? You shouldn't. It's better to have 10 men armed with something in the field in a combat operation as opposed to a lot of sense. And remember again, if someone is at that particular weapon, if it's perfected, out there that will perform just like a light rifle at 100 yards, nobody would know the difference. We'll have a state of Michigan here and effectively take game off to 125 yards. Weapons are just as lethal as any light rifle presently is in service slash in inventory. Well, again, would they be my first choice? Not for myself, but if I had to put 10 people in the field, a man with a 1911 with 67910 magazines still perform a mission and contribute. Now, is to go out and harvest more goodies because maybe we don't have enough lost. Eventually that person will be used, that light weapon in the field, increase range and penetration in general performance. An arm with something, then for 10 men, you know, 6-1-4 men to be deemed ammunition is a lot cheaper when it comes to suppression fires over close range, or again, with close range support. Again, numbers still better than throwing rocks. 20 objects again. I think we have Don back. Yes he is. as you said there was a boy had picked up the phone to support dog. It was worth the time. So I just... Talking to dog that's long in the tooth but still protecting the house so you got to take care of her. Yeah. Me for a long time. Through my dreams you know what I mean it's good sleep with a... Also the top down and again for everybody out there guys hand cannons personal choice thing. They're out there the canics what is it any of the TP9 is the other one there's a couple of different ones out there they are inexpensive so we still they're not as cheap as they should be and because of the purchasing power issues, guys, who's the revolver out there might not be a bad choice. You can see some pretty good buys in Rossy's, whose handguns go, I mean pistol out of the, you know, in the process, not Ruger Street, Sixes. When you start talking Colt, you go back up into, oh my God, price range. What do you have in the budget? You're looking at, you know, how to get up on the table with all of the other support, personal handgun, nation magazines, et cetera. Now it's a budget out, and for handguns, into something initially is a plus. And I'm not forgetting high points. High points are a given. We'll laugh at all this snobbery about high points when in reality guys, most of the other guns that they're brightening up would not survive or could not shoot at the high point. Their survivability rating is about zero, so what the high point can digest every day nonstop. And as a survival, that is a critical issue because you don't know what you're going to recover in the way of ammunition and the way of cachet is different. somebody just hands to you and says, well Mark, I only got this and some pull up on daddy's car, fill in the blank.
