I thought about the big, big calibers kids. Some of them aren't that Magnum a caliber really as far as energy goes but they're popular right now because of the cowboy guns and it's antique prices for modern loads. 45 Long Colt, I know we're gonna call her. 45 Long Colt is probably an example of a really good, more expensive than 44 Remington Magnum to fire. And it shouldn't be. Just the reverse. 45 Long Colt should be cheaper by about a quarter or a third. It's being loaded in standard load. Anybody who's a home load. And they're charging us the price of what you would see for an ultra mag super custom cartridge. And it's not. where if you got one you gotta bite the bullet, issue a brass to get the thing going. Anyway, do it before we go on to the subject. We got a caller. It's probably IC. If you don't put the choke in, a C barrel, which is not a problem, it's just don't put the choke in, is remember number one, that means that everything is just that you're not gonna have to worry about hindering in the gun if you're using plugs with that particular one. Several chokes, a 45 long colt, can it? Also have the, uh... Only because, I... When we've done number four, or what we call an arcane load, you used to be able to get, remember milk carton of BBs, remember that? Because we went through that many easily in loading. But we would do load where I'd take, make up the difference in weight within the number four, tagging something. I know they still have 70s and early 80s. DCI used to make snake trunks. They had was the 45 long cold. And according to not as any 40, well there are some 45 long cold. There they built 45 long cold mags. and then on 45 Ultra Mag, you know, the snake charmer load won't cycle if it's semi, but it will shot shell into a pistol. It's not necessary when you have 410-45 Colt long, you know, combination chains. This line does not have a drilled in cap. It's trying to be kind of like a bar. What's the barrel line on it? Just .20 inches. And that's a field sight. Line to the bead and pull. And you can just shotgun. The 45 long Colt is a second figure with a 20 inch per inch. It would be performing like any other carbine in a heavy pistol. Thinking about there why they didn't just put at least a notch in groove. Keep to put in, again, every penny you add, it'd still keep it affordable, minimizing, and do to the gun. And man, with 45 long colds during the 20 inch barrel, it would kind of keep at least a, what, 50 to 100 yards. 100 yards if you press 50 yards, for sure. Considering, you know, again, other than thinking about going the other direction, Is there a thread on the outside of the inside of the bore? In fact, provided you are very careful with how you build the other part internally, the way to make it work is that you also reinforce, you know, with not a wraparound. In other words, if you try to wrap around the outside, you've got a whole lot of additional reinforcing bars. The very fine thread, by the way, if those threads are fine, 10 grain, 220 grain, but either way, you're looking at the same dimension for the bullet. Apper jacket, typically. If you drop the load, 45 long cold that's not hard with the original spec you go with black powder even make anything that's suppressed or be bullet downrange and there's absolutely no sound in fact knowing how to load the run so quiet the 22 CB cap made more noise next to me that's without doing anything to the gun so consider that if you load the 4570 with a 225 230 or 250 grain bullet and drop the powder back probably eliminate all powder signatures as far as the flash goes and all the sound still leaving a standard barrel 20 inches. We need an accuracy. Well, to prove point, and I work K and the 55 long colt cylinder, tremendous error. That's a 410. 45 makes it. Most have offered that, yeah. What you've done is created a straight case using the 444 Marlin. You straight shot shell, K. Gun shell. Red shotgun shells are uniform wall all because they need to be 2570 or 44. Remember they have a cup. the primer in the base point, making the base of the case, which is really why it's designed that way, the powder out. So that's a good idea. And 444 Marlin is still in the chamber. We had it done. D5-7. But anyway, George and Patriot might want to look into it. If he's looking for action, I think he's going to find it. 444 Marlin isn't kicking it under anymore, but it remains a unique. A little bit of K-POCs, which you were mentioning. You could barely hear it. I drove the bed drive, the powder, keeping it subsonic. And this is something that everybody goes, You gotta have the Magnum charge to get the job done. Guys, remember there's two parts. You bring energy up every weight. In performance you have to drive your pressures up and then you have to think of it that way. You go the other way but still, you know, again, sustain a freight train going down range. It's the other part of what is a conventional or common sense formula. Makes up for, you just mentioned it, a 444 Marlin. Long Colt, you know, was a Stevens gun. When he hit a deer, it went sideways. Didn't have a quick reload but if you know what you're doing the gun you're supposed to hit for a shot, right? We went hunting. We went hunting, you know, John, he saw a bear. And he saw it hunting with us. Even myself, I had one at Pointe-Wank Range, came right up to the muzzle of my Springfield. He had three of them coming, two of them slept by him, sitting, hunting. He saw a deer, but the bear can't see that many in the area, but it turns out the fish were... Well, I've got a little booklet on, I used to love, well, I still do love .45-70s. I've had a couple of them, whatever. .50-70. I need no stinky armor piercing bullets. And again, if you play The other thing about this is, for everybody listening, they go, well if you're reducible, you're gonna lose accuracy. No, you're not. What you do is you're gonna be, just to reverse, the first time that we did this with the, and again, Trapper, was the intermediate barrel. It wasn't the carbine short barrel, it wasn't the long infantry rifle, it was the, you know, they were, like I said, we were loading on the bench with a member who said a hammer dies. Everything right there on the bench. And they're like, what can we do with this? So we basically, with the 500 green bullet we were doing 21 to 23 grains depending upon, you know, again, that 500 grain bullet was staying within, we were keeping it right on a quarter. Now that's just a standard rest. Forgive me, a table on the table with our elbows. At 100 yards, the site's basic five rounds. What more do I need for accuracy? That was with iron sights. One of those H&Rs in 45-70, 45-70 made that really, that lever guns too until you work the action. There's no other motion other than 45-70, 45-70. the, um, the pointy bullet. See, the Enfield is a really versed rifle. This is something people like Pupu, the British Enfield, which won by themselves a problem. All the basic components, you have to barrel and shoot. The British did this so if the weapon wore out. Now the Enfield, you have a number one and you go to a number two. Only had to change one machine to break the gun every so often to make sure they tight-chamber. The advantage of that is, like you said, you can take that rimmed British Enfield, but now it's just a matter of having a barrel Enfield back in. Yeah, you can, you can lift up, get zen. They're pricey now. Used to be fairly common 8-10 years ago. The more Maryland, the louder the door. Mint condition, 45-7. I also bought a $10,000 UMC license for a mixed-in-grade modern day, but it's a 5-70 trap, 20-grade left bullet. I thought you know what, 11-12 pounds I fired it. For kick, I mean it hurt. I'm going, they didn't do something right, so I... I'm sure I was hanging on over twice as much. My brain is going, wait a minute, 300-80-grade versus 500-grade, safer, safer, blah, blah, blah. I'm doing something wrong in the third round, so immediately that guy's taken more punishment. And if anybody's got a trap door and they want to know why it's not accurate at 100 yards, then the front sight blade and make a front shot can't remember that 30 years ago. 1 1 3 of an inch or a 30 seconds of an inch higher. Nothing but 45 70. The application are just fair and fair because of the metal of the made of. It would be an inferior again be easily extracted from the groove. Well, I'm gonna let you go, Mark.
