You'd have to have a transmitter to broadcast to the FM receiver that's going to feed the transmitter that's up on the hill. Yeah. Yeah, that's doable. If you could find an FM receiver that has a little 8-inch jack, you can plug in a headset kind of thing and split it into RCA, he's putting that into the transmitter. That is doable. Okay. There's another way, I don't know how you're constructed with the internet, but You can also use a wireless situation, but you need a computer at the other end. So what you're speaking of right now would probably be the cheapest way to go. It's just by, you know, if you have a power source up there, like I say. One of the things that we're thinking of here, I guess we're thinking that... One of the things we've said, emergencies, using it as information, it can be in the clear advertisement. You don't have to even do against the wall. The announcement of the... And there were many others. Those are just the one that many others won't even think about. pay to turn them out of a certain pattern. How far away are we talking about here Roger? Error wise, maybe a quarter of a million. Right. The reason I ask is you can use depending on the distance. It's not something that I've tried at this point, but they have the ground cables that they lay across people's property for phone lines that go thousand yards or whatever, get them hooked into the phone system, you know, they usually bury that line. If you had a hard line, you know, using telephone line or something along those lines, to run that source from your house to that point would be another option, but it sounds like it's just a little too far away to do something like that. So you're thinking along the right lines with, but like I say, it would take two transmitters to complete the mission in the way that you're looking at it. Yeah, well, see ya. There you go. Well, like the best thing you can do, you know, get a little portable FM radio or what have you, just utilize the little headphone jack and plug it right into the transmitter and it'll be clean, you know, it'll come right from there. I've mentioned tying radio stations together over telephone. You can do remote broadcasts. There was a black gentleman who used to listen to the micro effect. I don't know if he's still out there or not. I haven't heard from him in a long time. Gene was doing somewhat of a remote broadcast using the internet. Of course you have to have a computer on each end to accomplish that. So there are things that you can do. You know, for instance, a lot of people don't know you can go like 600 feet. You can plug in to your internet. Okay, I don't care what it is. You can plug into your internet with a cat 5, you know, with a 45 connector and go 600 feet. without having to put a booster in line. Okay? So that's just a cord into your internet feed, you can run to 600 feet without any serious line loss. Depending on how far away, the idea about antennas is always the height. And let me say this again, I'll say it over and over, don't ever put your broadcast antenna up in a tree. Put it off a pole or something, but stay out of those trees, man. creating remote broadcasting, you know, if there's a there's another situation where a gentleman went down into town and He uses a closet in a hallway and it's somewhat like of a business building or something I'm not really understood that sure that I understood that part but what he did was he just Set the transmitter up in the closet with a computer and and ran the cable outside the building to an antenna up on the roof and they're broadcasting in their little town in that way. So it's sitting in a closet in a main building in town with a broadcast. People have hooked up to 12 volt systems in their vehicles. Now let me say this, if you plan on putting any power behind it, you know like maybe a 100 watt booster or something along those lines, you're going to have some difficulties with your solar panel setup thing because those boosters draw a lot of power. So you're going to have to have a fairly good size battery bank to supply the power for the booster in a remote broadcast situation. So that's why I was asking Roger, do you have power there? And in that when you come back with we're going to use solar power. So understand what it is that you're up against when it comes to these things because the transmitter may do okay on its own, but when you start adding power, it's going to require more power because you're adding more power. I've dealt a little bit with that. I've had a few towers here with remote broadcasts, maybe a battery of six. six volt battery or deep cell batteries with maybe two or three solar panels and possibly a wind generator to keep everything up and running on a consistent basis. So like I said, creativity goes a long way. And you don't have, there's nobody out there who has a stupid question. I've waited until this last stretch here to do that. And I had to mute you there for a second. Mark mentioned noise in the background. I'll give you a little bit of an update here with what's going on with the micro effect. First, I want to thank Alan and Larry and Steve and Andy for their contributions. They are the ones that got us dialed in with our new mixer board here at the studio. It was those people that made the contribution that made that happen. Also, I wanted to give a special thanks to Kevin who has purchased the Cisco router system here for the Micro Effect Broadcast Network. And we're trying desperately to get some of this equipment changed out. But I want you to understand where we're at here at the micro effect. All the contributions that we've been getting in has been trying to, you know, we're playing catch up, trying to get everything covered. And in the meanwhile, you know, with each people here, Alan, Larry, Steve, Andy, all got in line to help put in some equipment here in the background while we're trying to take care of the other problems. So we're trying to accomplish two things here at the same time. And where we are right now, folks, I have pretty much until the end of this week, we were hoping that there would be more people interested in the FM transmitter getting in on the drawing and these kind of things to help support the micro effect and get us financially squared away. Well, I'm here to tell you it's not working out like we planned, which ultimately is going to be, well, it's going to be a stretch. Okay, but what concerns me the most even if we do make it up to this point here is we have 2015 to deal with and I don't foresee unless somebody has some kind of a magic wand anything getting better for 2015 I personally remember sitting in this chair a year ago Right here on the station there. We were driving for funds last year It just seems to be an ongoing thing. So folks if you are with us, we really need you to get on board The phone calls, we've got zero donations on the phones here this morning and to the best of my knowledge we haven't received anything, no we haven't got anything off the donation sites on the website and we are really in dire need of those. It's kind of a catch-22, you know, there's things that we needed to do, you know, we needed a new mixer board. The other one was fixing to go south on us. It did for the most part. We're still in this battle, we're still struggling along, it's not that we quit. But there is such a thing as being forced. We're getting close to that. Yeah, it's enough to get you going and remember it all fills as the... And you might still want to... Regularly audio feeds, yes, exactly. These things are small. This is actually the size of... I've looked at these before, but this is a nice one. I actually like the unit. I'm going to look it up to this. As soon as I can get more weak, up for one trunk. And we're not talking footlocker. We're talking everything in there. Microfms it's into a very small space you can put the whole system and you know plug in your end you know to the fixture and Francisco air pissing off the for the guy to get caught never catch him and they had cops and all kinds of time fiddle-parting with the Gorilla radio station But city but the guy down with the radio fun and having to go after real you know down the flight reason for going total well being able to case and take to the next location well you can get those what do they call us skb cases you know they're They're hard plastic cases. You can find those on eBay as well. It's SKB. And you can get them in different sizes. You know, like three rack mountable items or six or twelve or what have you. And then all you do is you clip the doors on, you know, throw all the electrical cords inside and you pick up the case and walk away with it. Yeah. In fact, you can make it so that you even have little coil points set up inside the case. If you structure everything in a nest right to go. If you use something like a rack rider or a Furman power supply, you can put a power supply in there that feeds everything that you have in that box. So all you have to do is pop the back open, one cord reaches out, it plugs in, and you're good to go. You don't get your antenna up and away you go. So if you're out there listening and you want to see what an SKB box looks like, Just go on, I don't know, you can just punch it into Google search or go to eBay or something like that and you'll see what we're talking about. It's just rack-mounted boxes to protect your equipment. Band people use them all the time for different pieces of equipment. It protects it all. And you can put it all in one box and pick it up and take off. In fact, I've learned that would be ideally suited for that. It actually is a media transfer. Well doesn't Ramsey have a whole radio station in a box or something? Oh yeah, yeah, if you go to Ramsey Electronics right now, in fact, how have they? You know, they find that any, you can spend hours done with that particular station. Not a whole lot you'd be doing other than just checking to make sure everything's, you know, nothing's floating around. You know, they usually want the dials are locked. You're looking at, even with a micro FM like the FM 100, guys, this is a very efficient design. I said enough, we've built many. I've built many. I could do one in this. a few things, there's nothing to read. Again, it's sort of, once you start doing one a night, you're doing a regular basis and everything, you're a homeschooler, an FM 100 or an FM 1 or an FM from the 1 up to 100, manufacturing. What you've done, they actually explained to you, what are you doing? What are you putting together so that you do the processor on the FM radio itself, the M1s that they came up with, for a $27 transmitter, by the way, had pot, actually meter your radio, there was no readout to tell You had to meet your radio with a radio. You'd confirm it and you had to adjust because sometimes get a little more stationed up. And we're going to be having a drawing for one next Friday. That's the FM100, not the one. It's some zeros. It's a really good radio. You'll like it. Two on the dial. And again, the basic, just make sure the antenna's hooked up. Do not fire up any transmitter without an antenna hooked up. We'll go somewhere, but it won't be where you want it. Yeah. It finds a place to go. If you're all anxious to see it light up, make sure you hook up the antenna first.
