Mark Koernke discussed tactical preparedness and military equipment in the second hour of the Intelligence Report on December 15, 2014. He analyzed YouTube videos from the Ukraine conflict, emphasizing lessons about spacing, weapon deployment, and field tactics applicable to American militia training. The show covered night vision device strategies, including the shift from first-generation green screen to white screen alternatives due to supply constraints, and provided detailed recommendations for affordable battle rifle packages and ammunition storage. Koernke and co-host Don Butcher also discussed perimeter defense strategies, alternative weapons systems including slingshots and crossbows, and resource procurement through specific vendors.

He took off his three cornered hat and speaking low to me he said, We've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations this legacy we gave. In this the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone. Your courage lost. You're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught. according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children will be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torture freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each God given right we only watch and tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave? One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters, both on and behind the lines in occupied territories, west, central, southeast, and east. Ladies and gentlemen, you're listening to us on... liberty tree radio dot four m g dot com indiana freedom talk radio dot com running with a micro station cb base stations all from our alternate hallmark and golden spike technologies east and west of the mississippi along with the last cut good afternoon to well great state of japanese out there on the left side of the country it's dark it's just a laughter sunset Actually, medium temperatures. I don't know what it's like up for you, I'm done, so I'm going to ask. It's been nice here today. Couldn't ask for a better late fall, early winter day. What's it like in the other end of Michigan and what's jumping off the wall up there and what's the date? Well, on this, the 15th day of December, year of our Lord 2014, Mark, we got up to the high mid 40s today, which was a beautiful day for this time of year. Just wonderful, wonderful kind of day. Again, the 15th day of December. Al Gore would say, I told you so, but we're about 9 or 12 degrees higher than your average day today. That's better than your average bear. Beautiful day. Beautiful day. Can't complain. I'm still ... So that's a good thing. That might not happen in three more days. But again, one more time, 15 December 2014. I'm here until the bottom, Mark. One thing to remind everybody, there is definitely something in the wind. Everybody agrees. They know the sneaky Pete slash the Shysters in the system are up to something and it's just trying to figure out which direction they're coming us from. That's why they're creating all this intentional confusion. The best thing to do is just remember, the basics are the most critical foundation for any activity that's going on here. That includes food and water making sure you get your tools and technology squared away do as much as you can before the winter hits I highly recommend you go to YouTube and If you want to see visions of things to come right now guys there is stock footage that is priceless private videos of what's being done What fighting is going on in Ukraine you can't tell that it isn't right here in Michigan or in Wisconsin or in Virginia seriously The overpasses are built exactly the same. The double lane, expressway, highway, roads, the way they're set up. There's an excellent video. It was just posted here. It was posted yesterday, so it should be still up on the 24-hour post. Go to YouTube, punch in militia. Then when you get there, do a last 24-hour search, search by in the last day. You'll see a number of videos pop up. What is fascinating about this is again the imagery. The roads have not been plowed. It's a medium light snow that's about four to six inches. You've got wrecks randomly and already of course that have been shot up on the highway near a cloverleaf exchange. And the guys are actually, you know, they've got a checkpoint near the area where they're at the edge of the, no, four edge of the battle area. While they are there and while the guys are filming, they take fire. This is a regular person doing the photographic work, but he did a pretty good job. However, it also gives you a feel for many of the things I've tried to explain before. If you don't have it forward, you don't have it. When the time comes and you need it, sucking hair doesn't count for Jack squat except to probably get you killed. So you go in heavy. But you also make sure you've got the proper gear with you because you're living out there. Now the interesting thing is it's got that American war, the next American war on ground combat operations. The interesting thing is them slugging it out after they've had an exchange of fire with a harassment shooter. Whoever it is, maybe one or two men. uh... they're doing you know we just find not gonna squat down kids then of course the squad breaks contact us for the form the ones that are filming the ones that get hit or you know being taking fire and so they are not r c a l intact but they are c a l and it's it will look at the environment now i'm going to try to give you here in a moment the uh... hold on here i'll give you the actual title for the uh... video actually can do that most you can't because it's Cyrillic the guys that are posting this are producing YouTube international obviously but there have been some really really well done vids in the last couple of days want this particular one is a squad strength unit fire team coming a fire team with probably an additional fire team total of total of a squad Again, it's basically where we could have been right now with our snow cover, but they have winter in the Ukraine. Now, this particular video is initially no contact, with contact, breaking contact. I highly suggest you pay attention. Notice the spacing. These guys are taking fire all the time. Remember what I said about these cluster screws you've seen all these videos where they're trying to puff up and terrify by having all these piles of bodies all together? Well, once you face the grim reality of large and small rifle fire, you know, MBR and light rifle fire slash assault rifle fire, bullets are unfriendly and they really, really hurt. So it would probably behoove you to stay out of the line of fire. Well, if you pay attention, you'll notice these guys have already learned that. I'm sure through the school hard knocks, we'll retain, for sure. But the fact of the matter is that very well done, and I can't for whatever reason, it's just taken forever to get this where I wanted to. I'll give the title out if I can, but let's assume the worst and we won't be disappointed. As it is, the other video which is posted down is basically a heavy fire team deploying from a van. Remember what I told you about the assault van technique, guys? Well, this particular fire team was near and dear to my heart because they demonstrate the application. Here's what's interesting. The team is deploying a Russian chain-fed grenade launcher, and it's in a fog. The aggressor is at probably three to five hundred yards, between two hundred to three and five hundred for some of the targets. And what's fascinating about this is the quick deployment, they're a little bit of a tree line, again it's live fire, there's no place to, you know, again, there's no place to go, but you know, towards the enemy because you're there for a reason, you're on the edge of the battlefield, this is a harassment raid, this is a gun and grenade harassment raid. If you pay attention, notice the weapons. Oh look, there's a guy with an SKS, Don. And what did he do? He's got it switched over as the Dragon off the sniper's rifle and the team works for him. Pay attention, that's the base rifleman. Now everybody's carrying 7.62x39 or 5.45x39, there are three AKs. There is the one SKS has a sniper in the squad, which is typical for the Russian formations. What I've said before, if they don't have a dragon off, you find the next weapon in line and designate it as such and build it up. All if you have it pre-built, it would be a good idea. And by the way, this group, these videos, guys, it looks no different from what you will see with you and your guys deploying. Except, obviously, at this point in time, you probably haven't had a whole lot of live fire coming down range. Now, the interesting thing is not only again, well, first deployment, then action, and then unarcing the AO. Now, the unarcing the AO part is especially critical because once you're done with the, and I'm still trying to pull it up, I'm going to have to cancel everything out and pull it back up again. I want to do this before you go so you can write this down, Don. Anyway, on our single, it's a quick load up on the van. They've on the outside, other than the fact they've done a quick choppy camouflage job. which is not going to have to change up a little bit, although it's too late to do it, it's too cold over there now, they're going to have to get the vehicle indoors to do it. But if you pay attention on the inside, you'll notice it's been modified. And it's a poor man's APC configuration, just like I've talked about, except they've armored it up. They truly have taken the time to arm it up on the inside a little bit. Outside, looks just like a standard civilian van. Inside, all the right things were done to protect the crew. What is interesting is, again, they get out with everything. They deploy, they, in fact, if you pay attention, I've been talking about this also, anything that can be reused is grabbed. If you pay attention as they're unarcing the AO, as they're leaving the point of contact, one of the drums for the grenade launcher was dropped along with the continuous link, a chain link for the grenade launcher. One of the guys grabs that, snags that automatically, and heads on towards the vehicle, but they don't leave it behind. There's a reason for that. All those things can be rebuilt, reloaded, reused, but you gotta have the basics. Progressively, you will see cleaner battlefields as this thing develops. Right now, a lot of shell casings and shells and ordnance are being left around that should not be. everything and anything that's man-made. If you've got time to, you know, point and stare and linger around and suck a cigarette, you've got time to clear police this whole area up. Now the reason for that is war production. And I can't stress enough, it's like what's happening with the night vision devices, guys. You know, just like everything else in surplus, nobody would ever believe that we'd be running out of first generation green screen. When you think about it, I mean seriously, I've talked to surplus guys. It's like I never thought we'd run out of eTools. But it's not that this is surplus, this is new production. This is a change in policy. Now, it doesn't mean we can't get night vision. It just means now we have a different issue that we have to address. I would point this out about white screen. The white screen works just fine, right Don? Oh yeah, but again, it's high light discipline. Yeah, and so here's the thing. We have people to train. Do you have a green screen unit? Does all of your team have green screen units? If they do, we don't turn those on. Not for the moment, not if you have orientation going on with people. What would you do? You take the money, Don, what's the cheapest white screen that you can get? Probably like $179, something like that. And pretty serviceable? Oh yeah. So, here's your training, that's your training night vision device. Doesn't mean it won't be pressed into service when the time comes. But if you're going to operate a piece of equipment, you now know that you can't replace that green screen you just bought from Don, right? This is true. You might have a whole team of people. Now I suggest you get your meeting together as soon as you can, and you all pitch in, and you buy a white screen unit. Why? Well, it's real simple. My green screen's worth a whole hell of a lot more now because it can't be replaced. So, running a white screen would make more sense for training purposes. Now, there's another thing you can do with that. There's several things. Well, we are going to turn our green screen on. Now, guys, I want Ralph over there on the other side to use his green screen the way he normally would. Still pay attention to light discipline. And I want Ralph over there on the other side with the white screen, and I want you guys to turn your equipment on for a few minutes, and let's watch and see what happens. You see how that works so well, but here's the other thing. I got new people coming into the unit. Like we've said, it's like airsoft. Why am I going to trust people that I haven't completely trained in the discipline of our formation with real weapons when I can pick up training aids that are so realistic? You can even tell the person, if you paint up the orange part on the end, you can tell the person he's holding a live weapon and you can't tell the difference. Come on guys those ak-74s and 47s and HK-91s and air 15s, M4s that they've got that are airsoft that are metal, they are for all practical purposes that gun. So it's the same with night vision. This gives you the opportunity to put some you know put some minutes on a person. Notice they didn't say hours. We're not going to do that. We can't afford to. But to put some time on the person with a piece of equipment in their graduation phase. Here you go. Here's what you're going to be working with for the time being. Now I want you to work with it in real time. Now it'd be better that you be turning that white screen on for $175 as opposed to one of your green screens, which, well, progressively you're going to see the dollar amounts change in the retail market because as people realize they can't get it, they're going to start turning up the dial on it. If you don't think so, can I say Sega shotguns? Yeah. See how that works? Anyway, Don, jump in there please. In the white screen, what do we have that's most affordable in a rifle sight or in a, again, just an optic to train with? What do you recommend? You recommend, sir, please. I'll look into this more, but it appears that the entry-level gun sight, it'll be capable of a whole lot of things. It'll film for you, it'll record for you, which is cool, you know? If you're a hunter or if you want to say, look what I did today. instead of, well, yeah, well, I believe you, Frank. Yeah, you saw this. You can record with it, which could be good for people like Mark when you come back, the intelligence people. Now, it's white, it's blue, you touch a button, it's green, but it's like almost 800, so I hate to say it out loud. It's a gun sight. It is sold right now under the comparison Well, it's as good as second generation as long as you have the illuminator on. Because we've addressed the illuminator situation many times. You guys imagine you're looking for someone. And you come to a place where you're looking across a great area of land. And you think that that person is out there. And you see a light just moving across the land. And you think, oh, that must be him because, well, we're hot on his trail. And he's obviously using a flashlight. Now, imagine you're using a piece of night vision and you come up to a place, a military crest, and you're looking across, you know, thousands of acres. There's trees in there and whatnot. You can't see all of it, right to ground in every little hidey hole. All of a sudden you see this flash of light go sweeping across the land. and you bring down the night vision device and you look with your natural eye and you don't see any light. You bring up the night vision device again and you see the light still sweeping across the land. You've confirmed that you're looking at an illuminator. You can't see it with your eye. You can see it with the night vision. That means there's somebody over there operating with a piece of night vision. So to qualify a device that's replacing first generation and saying, well, it's as good as second generation with the illuminator on, I have to... bring that thought line to you because well I have a handheld device it's white screen a simple viewer it's 3 power it appears marked to perform around the basics of a first generation device I you know one good thing about it and I we've beat the white light thing to the point that you know you can almost say that well Don now you're talking good about it and I understand that for someone who isn't trained with night vision you can pick this piece up and turn on the daytime the daytime isn't going to hurt it and the training aid is what what that's what i'm focusing on is that number one can you get another green screen first-gen Well, if you guys have ten or five or six different night vision devices and some of them are the ones you got from Don, no matter how you look at it guys, you don't want to turn your green screen on anymore and you can help. And if you're going to orient and train people, that's what this would be for. That's what it could be used for. It could still be used for night vision operations, but you have to express a lot more discipline to accomplish that. Because of the white light. Now, one thing about it, it can be used across the gap. light unto dusk or dawn unto daylight. You'll find with a green screen it'll get light enough that man, I still want to run it because my eye can barely make anything out, but it's getting so light that it's starting to shut down particular, it's starting to shut down about a third of the screen. It starts to get real fuzzy. The generation will defend themselves. Third generation, if it's turned on in the dark, or with the cap on and then you take the cap off. As long as you don't point it like at a white building, a white garage or a windshield reflecting the sun or something like that, it's still going to operate in the daylight. It's going to flash like a Charlie Chaplin movie. It's going to go blink, blink, blink, blink, blink. You're going to see that until it says, well, I don't want to overheat myself and it will shut itself off. First generation wouldn't do that. Second generation, third generation will. But you can use the white screen from daylight into darkness or from darkness into daylight across the dusk to dawn or dawn to dusk. It sounds like across that time where you're waiting for it to get dark to turn on the green screen you can be using the white screen. Which is the weak time for all operations which is why dawn or dusk attacks are typical. to take advantage of that transition time where some of your equipment works but not as well and if you do use it, it's abusing it so it's a benefit to whoever, if you're attacking somebody, it benefits you. If you're the person making contact initiated, those windows of activity are optimal. It's why there have to be immediate action drills or standard SOP for being on the ready to deal with such situations because there are so many pluses for an attacker because of visibility, more so than anything else. Sound doesn't change much, not until later in the evening. visibility is critical. I mean, if you can't see, they can't see you very well. They're not going to be likely to shoot you as well, are they? That's right. That's a nice thing if you're the attacker. Now it comes over to spray and pray hose down an area in order to hopefully create a casualty or more. Right. Exactly. Which consumes defense ammunition, etc., which is why again, there's application for it. But again, you need to remember you still need the discipline issue green light. You still need to maintain discipline This means paying attention to how are using it people get sloppy people have to be reminded sometimes Hey, keep that eye cup right up. You know, kitty. Keep it up your eye. You're washing your face right now Well, they ain't talking with water right this makes me think of another thing because I was reading something about setting up Perimeters as far as being a motion camp, you know, like we're here and now we got to go there because the zombies are here Well, using that as an example, setting up perimeters of barbed wire. Someone has the idea to set up the circular barbed wire. Now you're inside the inner circle, right? And then, hey, you've got warning. Be it wild animals or somebody trying to close. It's good to be able to close your eyes and go to sleep, but still it's good to have people looking around, right? Now, you take strands of barbed wire and you run them from the center out beyond your outer perimeter. five or eight feet, depending on how much you've gotten, how big your perimeter is, you might run them out 40 feet beyond your outside perimeter. This wire is meant to catch someone that's moving around your perimeter. If you have alarms, you know, marbles and cans on the wire, when that strand shoots, or rather, when that strand shakes, that would be time for a bit of hose down. See how that works? But again, it's much like tracers, Mark, because if the guy's standing there figuring out that, man, this guy's shooting me right up this wire and he ain't hit me yet, he might start shooting right down the wire. See how that works? So I thought I'd bring that to your attention because it seems like a real good idea. I would deploy this more in my forward, my LPOPs, rather than bring this right into the center of my camp, as was diagrammed in particular thing that I've been seeing lately. So you guys, sometimes it's a good idea, sometimes it's a good idea to use, and sometimes it's a good idea to modify, but I wouldn't bring that to the center of the camp for the aforementioned reasons. You don't make a circular shaped camp unless that's all the barbed wire you've got. If you've got a circle in one place or a curve and you've got some straight area here and a different curve and some other area, what you're trying to do is as someone, as an op force approaches that area, if they don't have night vision, if they don't have thermal, you want them to wonder where the center of the camp is. Period. Need I say more? So again, it would be good if need be to string a circular camp, we've talked about why not to, but to string wires out from that camp like spokes and when that wire shakes you can shoot down the wire because something's out there shaking that wire. But again, if you're shooting right down that wire and it's a circular camp, well, he's kind of got a line to right where everybody or you are at the very least. Am I wrong? Am I wrong? Oh, absolutely right. The big thing here again is to take the tools in the toolbox and integrate accordingly. One of the other things to consider is having a white system on standby for use during the transition window, which is about an hour before, you know, again, dawn, one hour, dusk, about one hour, perhaps one and a half to two hours, depending upon light conditions and season and overcast conditions. But you still have that transition because the radiation, the light coming down through even the cloud cover, still pretty much is collected and affects your eyes in the same way. It's just that certainly overcast means more moisture. Moisture creates even more obstruction. No matter what it is, it can be even more condensed. We've been getting a very heavy air for three days, two, three days. We've had a heavy air at night because we've been cool. This is why you get that feel like last night it was still, it was, I mean, done. It's one of those nights where it's dead air. Oh, zero wind speed, yeah. Yeah, you could, I mean, you could hear everything as if it was right, you know, if you've ever spent any time at night, at night operations, guys, every clank of metal, every motion of plastic, anything tinkering against itself, something running down a track, you can even hear the individual wheels on trains at night. You can hear them moving, rolling, and you can hear their characteristics as plainly as if you were right next to the track. And that's the kind of night we had last night. I have to exit stage left. Yes we do. And again, for everybody out there, the idea here is that green screen in a particular affordable area is gone. To save what you now bought at a good price, you may be, you should probably, if you have a number of devices available, even if you didn't buy them from Don. Maybe you bought part of a Dom, part from somebody else, okay? Or you got yours and the other guy's got theirs from somewhere else. Well, white screen is going to reduce wear and tear and we'll still have an application in the golf club bag, in the toolbox. And it should be treated the same way. There's nothing, even infrared. We've talked about this. There's Polish and Czech infrared that has come into the market and guys have been scarfing it up. And we've used it in the past. We've used it against Gen 2 and Gen 3 guys, and we've used it with success. But there are tricks, and we've talked about those. Well, Don, you're never for night vision. If anybody has any further questions, please. That number is 2317968458. Again, 2317968458. And when you go over to the Liberty Tree radio site and bump around a little bit there and you see the night vision thing, the first generation devices. Now, the channel for this is War in Ukraine. That's the YouTube channel, War in Ukraine, and there's a lot of other videos. How can you tell right now, because this is the first year of this war, how can you tell if it's fresh? They've got snow on the ground, guys. So if you see people pushing out other videos, say from the Ukraine side, if they're showing green grass and they're showing leaves on anything, that's outdated footage. Go to war in Ukraine now the title for this video for both these videos the beginning of the title is I'm a title block it says war in Ukraine forward slash fight near town let it go on it no ya now that spelling is gr a n it and oh why e fight near town but I need no ya Now the that's the first one and war in the Ukraine it is eight minutes and 21 seconds long for that video War in the Ukraine forward slash. This is the second one you war in the Ukraine forward slash Ukraine in other words UK RES is in Ukrainians you Chris UK RES near town have give have the F of the Yevka, okay of the FCA That's A-V-D-E-Y-V-K-A. That's A-V-D-E-Y-V-K-A. Watch these. That one is five minutes and 52 seconds long. Now there are other videos out there that are very well done. There are excellent records of what's transpiring there in their private footage. There's no editing done. Now the last one... This is the Medvedova, that's the channel, the M-E-D-V-E-D-O-V-A. Now, broccoli, chicken foot, cacciatore, chingo chingo is the first part of the... I'm not going to worry about trying to explain to you what's going on here in Cyrillic and Ukrainian anyway. Special Forces Pro-Russian Militia firing. Notice this always chicken foot English guys. I'm sure the word spell did what it could Special Forces Pro-Russian militia firing. This is definitely one you want to watch. It's four minutes and 24 seconds long. Here's your homework Great. Here we go. Go ahead Don take off, but I just want to get those to you see bill watch them tonight if you can great Thank you. Thank you. And again Don bet your guys why you're dealing with a stranger when you can deal with a friend We are, of course, past the bottom of the hour and hit it towards the top here again, only 20 minutes away. Guys, attention, attention, attention. I brought this up. Actually, I wish if I'd known I was calling a lot of people this weekend. Go to, and forgive me, I've got to do it this way, go to www. cd and and sports dot com again that's it for our guys in the chat room post the page w w w dot cd and and sports dot com also cd and and investments dot com either one will work i'm trying to post it won't do that for me i was surprised probably got a little bit of a bug in here and it's not an accident Anyway, www.cbnninvestments.com. Take the time, plug in, and go to their rifles, then go to 308 rifles. I believe they still have this sale on, but it's $899, you know, $900, for a PTR 91 with an 18-inch barrel. The 16 inches are the same price, but why are you going to buy a 16 when you combine 18 for the same price and get more barrel? Always in 308 more barrel is better Longer barrels first longer barrels first longer barrels first when they run out of long barrels And you can't get them anymore, then you do the 16, okay? If that that's when you buy them anyway It's the PTR 91 you can get it in the wood stocks the black stocks the green stocks all the same price and that's $900 gets you the rifle, the scope, the scope mount, which is the pricey part, the rifle sling, and 10 magazines. This is a ready-to-go battle pack right there. It doesn't have as many magazines as I'd normally carry, but that's a good start. 10 mags with the weapon. Again, that's at cdnnninvestments.com. cdnnninvestments.com. and cdnninvestments.com. Take the time, go there, cdnninvestments, then go to Rifles, go to 308 Winchester Rifles, 762NATO, and the PTR-91s are listed there. Now, they have them on sale for $899 and it's a package. All of them have the same package. It doesn't matter which PTR-91 you buy, they all have the same package deal. Scope, military scope, lit-rectacle, dial-up size, controls for elevation and traverse. In addition to that, you've got the scope mount for the scope, for the PTR-91. You have a sling, which is kind of a gimme thing, but that's cool. They run hell. They've been charging $6 for the stupid things, if not eight. And then ten magazines. Now they're aluminum. They're all military. Nobody's making any aftermarket HK mags, guys, because there are a ton of those HK mags available, making it the most affordable battle rifle to buy right now. You're gonna spend at least 900 plus or minus depending on the weapon and if you don't it's because mags are not available and their mags are what's gonna gouge you. In this case you're looking at $900 but you get the scope, okay, go find out what the price of that is and take that off. Then you get the mount, go find out what the prices of that take it off. Then you get the slang, go find out what the price of that is, take it off. Then take the 10 mags, now I'll tell you something, the mags are only a dollar a piece. I'm going to tell you where to go next to get them for a dollar a piece. Right now, because there's another Christmas sale going on with those, but if you paid $2, you paid a good price for them, don't worry about it, you need more mags. Whether or not they are going to continue the sales, I don't know. But it's at CDN and Investments, CDN and Investments, step one, for the rifle package. So, once you do all the math and subtract everything from that base rifle price, you were paying a lot less than $900 for that gun, which makes it a double plus good thing all the way around. But if you want more mags, HK91, go to www.kk91.com. RoyalTigerimports.com www.royaltigerimports.com Go to his magazine section. They get a sale right at the top. A dollar apiece for the aluminum HK91 mags. Guys, they're all military mags. They're all German contractors slash HK or one of the affiliates. No matter what, those are a very serviceable mag. And for a dollar apiece, personally, I would buy 100 of them. If ever you and you're buying a rifle and you're building that rifle up for the first time and you're building it to develop a personal weapon system for a dollar a piece for a military mag you can't find anything else out there that has those 1990 type prices but those HK's do. So take the time, pick them up, get a hundred of the mags, there you go. Now you've got mags. Now if you want to buy some steel mags or if you want to buy some drums well let me point something out. If you buy 100 mags and each mag can carry 20 rounds, if you load everything up, how many rounds of ammunition do you need for those 120 round mags? Oh, 2000 rounds! You paid $100 plus shipping for 100 mags that gives you the ability to load up 2000 rounds. They want $260 for the HK or FAL or M14 drums. Well, I like the drum. I really do. I am fascinated with this new drum they've come up with and if they, it was a little more affordable, I'd say jump, dozens of them, but it's not cheap cheap. If you want to buy one, that's your personal money issue and I highly recommend them. I really do. Everybody's done nothing but give them a thumbs up and for a 308 drum for a lot of firepower where you need it, that means you could take that HK-91 and use it as a vehicle gun weapons platform for the time being or for a squad gunner. But you see here's the thing if I take two hundred and sixty dollars and with those dollar mags I get 260 magazines Well 260 magazines is a whole lot of loaded ammo in a 20-round mag I can afford to drop it and just not think about it and load another one and I could still have another hundred mags sitting there you see I can cache mags all over the place. So that's where my issue is with math on this one. For the time being, just buy the hell out of the mags while they're cheap. The steel mags are costing more, but you know what? I'm gonna tell you a little secret. When those things all came in, guys, they were not sorted. They were originally, when they were sending them out, they didn't care if they were steel or aluminum. They were shipping them out just to get them out of the warehouse. Why? Because they filled half of a car manufacturing a factory that was turned into a warehouse. Half of a factory full of those mags. How do I know this? Because I walked right amongst them. I've seen any mag you have, I've seen. Why? Because it went through the whole warehouse. So theoretically I looked at the bin that your mags were in and the bins were originally 10 bins to the wall, 5 bins high, and about 150 to 200 yards long just in the one chamber. You figure out the math on how many mags would fit in a pallet bin, a steel rack pallet bin. and ten deep, five high, multiplied by however many hundreds of rows like that, or dozens of rows like that, dozens and dozens and dozens and dozens of rows, that would fit into an area the size I described. And then there was another chamber repeated again. But I went through all of them. I was like, oh cool. And the mayhem that you know, they're charging you now because somewhere in the plastic, in the wrapper, in the foil, military foil, never issued. Guys, they were all thrown in together. And you know what they were doing? They weren't sorting or picking or anything. They were just grabbing out with the first 10 you ordered and shipping them out. You got steel mags. The ones that aren't brand new are still just as serviceable as the ones that were brand new. You see how that works? So a dollar a mag. Get the aluminum first, buy some steel ones later if you really got your heart set on that. If they got to be cleaned up, guess what? Break out the camo paint. Break them up a little bit. Why not? Start making your rifle disappear. As far as the type of stocks for the PTR-91, I prefer the wood only because the wood's most expensive and will be the most expensive. Later. But I would point out that I can buy plastic stocks, especially the green or the black. Now it looks like the green is still the most affordable because somehow somebody's got their panties in a bunch over the idea that they want the black ones. I don't know why. I really wouldn't. If I can get green over black, I'll take green every time. The reason? I'm breaking up the gun. Because my gun's basically black. Even if it's park-arized, it's a dark park-arizing, it's kind of black. So if I can alternate that with green, I've just changed the whole shape of everything. And that's what you want to do so you don't get shot dead. Okay? So the options would be, my pecking order would be the wood stocks because they're the rarest and then I've got those on the weapon that came with the gun. They're not rare rare, you can still buy them, but I got them with the gun for a reason because they are the more difficult. Then I'm going to go buy a pair of green stocks for nothing, put those on the rifle and I got both. I want those wooden stocks because Mark likes wooden stocks especially in cold weather. The wooden stocks are often nice to put your cheek on. You warm up pretty quick with those wood cells. They go, heat, we like you. See, a little more, not much. But it is a factor. But either one would be fine. And again, then you can't blow some of the mags out. You stick them in there, you break up that box mag. More and more, you can disrupt it. No, you break some more paint out. You can paint up all of it if you want to. Just think about it. So again, the idea here is it's an excellent price. It's a main battle rifle. I love the FAL I love the m14 But the m14 is priced out of my range for the mags. It's not in this case It was just lay them side by side. What's the price of an m14 mag? What's the price of an FAL mag? How many of the HK 91 mags can I buy for the price of an FAL or an HK mag? If you lay them down on the table and look at the value in mass And all of these mags are 20 round slab mags. They're all military mags. So I can get a whole pile of HK military mags. That's why I'm telling you to do the HK right now. If the HK mags all went stupid priced in the moment, it'd be, hey, flavor choice, whatever you want to now. Go whatever direction, because they're all expensive. Right now, that's the most affordable and the PTR-91s are out there in good strength. Now the PTR-91s are 100% American made, guys. So you're getting an American made HK, but it's not an HK. It's on the Portuguese tooling and it'll work just fine. Okay? Yeah, the slingshots are cheap. Yes, they are, and I highly recommend the slingshots. If you have not watched the Sling Shot Channel, then you do not truly appreciate the slingshots for what they can do to put big holes and little holes in people very badly. And the guy, he just laughs while he does it too. he enjoys himself so you want to go to the flea shot channel on YouTube and yes they are just as lethal now that brings me to another thing real quick I want to talk about how many people have played darts out there everybody played darts now let me ask you something what kind of darts did you play do you play these new stylized darts that are all streamlined and whatever have you ever played traditional darts have you ever looked at an older traditional set of darts what did they look like Well, they kind of like bigger and they would like fill out your hand like a big long teardrop like a fishing lure Made out of wood you ever play a traditional set of darts with a real set of darts you were they were you know, we targeting a bullseye and you pace out the distance from the bullseye and The darts were that would fit your hand kind of ergonomically But they were in a teardrop like a long almost look like a 25 pound world war one or world war two bomb The little 25 pounders had that long teardrop shape to them, like a drip of water. Well, that's how darts used to be. Why do you think they were shaped like that? Now, you ever been to a turkey shoot? You all understand that when you went to a turkey shoot, you brought your best rifle along or the one you were using to kill things with and you knew how to use real well. And you all competed for a turkey, didn't you? Well, if you didn't go out and shoot with the next day, you're just doing it to, you know, get green notoriety. Darts were the same way. Think castles. You know, yeah, you threw rocks, but let me point something out. If you made a steel or, well, back in the day, an iron dart on a wood teardrop that was the size, just so it fit your hand about the size of a one inch piece of plastic or iron pipe, think about bigger. The idea was that from the height of the castle throwing down on somebody, that was a devastating missile. In fact, if you pay attention to the old terms, you'll hear the term, you'll see the term, you know, casting missiles from the tower. And everybody thinks ballistic missiles or nuclear devices. No, guys. Darts. Darts were designed, oh, they were mean, just like arrow tips. You've seen arrow tips and some of the stuff they come up with. They were intentionally designed to be frangible. Because back in the day they didn't have tetanus shots. And so in many cases darts were knocked. They were barbed and they were knocked. Knocking means that you weaken it. It will go in and even as the weight of the dart, which by the way was made out of oak or ash, or any wood you could find and your carpenters job was to crank out a whole bunch of those goes long teardrop shaped bodies and then they went over and got some of those freshly butchered duck for goose or chicken feathers you know from the wings and they applied those to the base to create the fin stabilization the blacksmith meanwhile was pounding out long nail type objects razor sharp at one end and you know barbed at certain points knocked also so that when you shoved it down over the wall there you aim for that guy who was carrying the ladder all he got hit with some of the probably about a five or six-inch spike with some weight behind it and even as it hit him the weight of the object actually could snap the knock which is fairly you know again light is iron these are malleable these are are frangible iron And then that guy was probably out of the picture. Typically if you were lucky you wanted to kind of aim for the beaner or aim for anything you could. You'd be happy to hit him at all. But the idea was, oh wait a minute, like the turkey shoot, they had a competition in which you had a target board. And everybody was supposed to practice like the archers. Everybody was supposed to practice with the dart. I say there's another box of dots over there in the armory. Bring them back up to the wall, I say. Oh, throw a rock at that one. He looks a little big. Yeah, you got him. See how that works? So again, just because it may be a toy now doesn't mean it was a toy then. Slingshots are the same way. Slingshots have been perfected. And of course, let's go back a little farther. What about just the plain sling? I mean the Greeks deployed them the way they would like machine gun or archers during the Greco period, the Greek period, and especially the Hellenic period where you see all the dynamic warriors by name and everybody remembers them. Well pay attention, you'll notice that in all of their statuary and artwork the sling was a deadly weapon. Needless to say, you were always looking for ammunition. Hey, where's that water bed? the rock there. Oh yeah, I want a flat one because I need to get a little pitch on that or a little round ball or whatever. There were different theories for what kind of rock you wanted for certain applications and everybody had their own skills. So I guess it's not new. And just because we play with it today, needless to say, check out the slingshots. A wrist rocket will get you a lot of food, but a wrist rocket with a short bolt with a knock on the front so that you can attach it to your, oh that's right, to a fitting on that wrist rocket. You can shove that bolt down range and especially if you don't make it light you might make a little heavy Fill the thing with you know here's the one thing people throw away You know people think in the lead or whatever guys if you have an aluminum tube you could fill it with sand Have you ever thought about that think about your bow and arrows or your or your your your? crossbow shafts if you're looking to create a Again, a little more a weighted weighted bolt or a weighted arrow You don't need to fill it with lead, and it doesn't have to mean you don't have to steal. You've got an aluminum tube. Fill it with sand. Just make sure you tamp it and tap it off. Now what do you got? Well, in reality, here's one thing about the sand, especially when you're using it on somebody like people. What happens when an aluminum shaft typically encounters something rigid? Does it bend up your arrow? Does it, in some case, burst or shatter the arrow? Well, if you have hydraulic material inside the shaft, do a little experimenting and see what happens. Now granted, one of the issues here too, when you're dealing with modifying arrows like that, well, what type of a, what's the weight of the prod? In other words, you know, how many pounds of energy can you apply? 300 pounds, 175 pounds, 500 pounds. Don't think that those old medieval crossbows were, you know, light on the hand. They had to use either a sheep foot or they had to use a windless crank in order to get them into service. They got real good at it when your life depends on it. Remember that crossbows in a castle defense were actually pedestal mounted like a machine gun or like an artillery piece, a light artillery piece. Guys, those were 300, 400, 500, and oh my god, even 700 pound prods. So you figure what you could shove down range with something like that. Shiska-bombing somebody from the ramparts firing down into a crowd would be very realistic. And it wouldn't necessarily be as big as the Arbalisk that you saw in... What was it? Gladiator. You see the very opening scenes. That's a good example of some of the many weapons that were developed or had already been developed for what? More than a few thousand years. Yeah, and before. So again, crossbows. uh... playing shots and playing in fact at least experiment with these and have a swing can be done and built anywhere it's matter of you developing the skill intelligence go to youtube there's some excellent samples where you can look at what they've done build what they have or buy from them like the you know again the slingshot channel with all on traffic of the guys name but he's a big chairman guy he's a big he's a big cool guy if you listen to him yet the definite fun sense of you many drinks lots of beer He definitely does a good job with all of the things he has developed. If you watch that channel, you'll get a lot of cool ideas, including going over to other areas or other technologies, separate even from just the conventional slings. One of the projects he did here a year back, now a little less than a year now, but the second part I think is up, has to do with the centrifugal shooting system. It really is a disk gun. We've talked about these before. I've noticed he built one in plywood. He did it in all non-strategic material for the most part. Now, that can shoot ball bearings, which is his basic wheel tool available with his slingshot weapon systems. So that's something to think about. Anyway, we are headed towards the top.
