Live 365. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Oh, sons of the Republic, arise. Take a stand. Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land. Preserve our great Republic and each God-given right. And pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he'd vanished in the mist from whence he came. His words were true. We are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each God given right we only watch in tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Is this still the land of the three and gentlemen this is thee is thee second hour of the afternoon Intelligence Report. I'm Mark Kornke, one day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines in occupied territories west, southwest, east, and north. Ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to us on Liberty Tree Radio.4mg.com, Indiana Freedom Talk Radio.com. We're on AM and FM microstations, CB base stations, and Ultra Net Technologies east and west of the Mississippi along with Alaska. We're on the homework network from the top of Maine to the bottom of Florida from the bottom of Florida, across the ark of the Gulf of Mexico. Headed Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, Big Thunder, Nebraska, a whole bunch of Wyoming to include both the 3rd, 5th, 5th, and 10th of the Well of the Sisters on the west side of the state. along with the great state of Colorado, recall state. Hey, you're gonna have to get rid of those idiots in Boulder and Denver, not a problem. And buy more ammo. Waving in the left coast where we have the great state of Jefferson, we turn back to the east, sweep across the plains, leap over the emerging banks of the Mississippi, and land in the Smoky's slash the Blue Ridge. Where the restaurant crew's grammar team's okay teams and the Mount Belk grammar consortium of retired telecommunications workers bring us the Golden Spike. Many hands make for light work a million petticoat junction operators. The ability to continue to function when everything else is offline. I'll tell you, it's been a beautiful, rainy day here. We've had saturation rain, actually, great opportunity to use the rainwater to wash your hair. Oh, it's gonna be radioactive when you're done. If it's that bad, it'll be radioactive when you go back outside and slosh your little toes in it, and then it collects in your shoes. and your feet right off from radiation! AHHH! radiation! Hey, Black Sabbath, almost as good as Nostradamus. And more on that in a minute. Anyway, it is. Well, let's check. We have Don with us. And the bubble machine continues. And it is the Tuesday, the 26th of August. It is the 6th year of open Fabian Socialist. and Soviet Socialist Occupation of America with K-2014 Old Earth Calendar or... Myan Crazy Town or Nostradamus Doom Radiation Might Decay Oh you don't remember Black Sabbath Paranoid LP? The rest of the album? Everybody always plays, you know, like, say, AHHH But what about all those others like rat salad? That's not exactly a pretty sight, is it? Just the image, rat salad? Yeah, and you know, well... Check out the album. Listen to the rest of the music. Of course, you know, we got paranoid, you know, finish with my woman, you know, because she couldn't help me with my mind. People think I'm insane because I am clocking overtime banking overtime. You don't do watch man. Anyway, Black Sabbath, Paranoid LP. Check out the rest of the songs there. My favorite one in that album was out when it hurt years ago. I know everybody loved the headbanger music and yes we can pretty well recite the music backwards if need be and I guarantee we can put a whole bunch of... You can put four white guys together and they could literally sing a reverse from every song. But there's one that really you know it's one of those odd man out songs on the album. Planet Caravan. Planet Caravan? Oh yeah we'll probably... I might even touch on that one in a minute here. Planet Caravan. By the way, there was a remake of it. Planet Caravan. And Pantera did the remake. Pantera's piece was put on, they did a space seeding slash a planetary seeding video that was done on, not YouTube, forgive me, on MTV back when MTV used to do music and it used to have white people on it as opposed to the Ohomey Bee program. and uh... what's really cute about it is that they really did some really cool stylized music rather than you know the company company you know you know but you bang stuff all the time uh... what's interesting because again i don't mind variety i just told you earlier like cool dudes is one of his variety but when you start doing certain site okay i heard enough of the a bang a bang a stuffy could mix that in to be really cool both will put you know tool But all the time, no. It's like anything. All the time, no. Yeah, variety, Spice of Life. Anyway, Black Sabbath Planet Caravan. It's off the paranoid LP. That's the original. And here's the problem. Everything else was... And then all of a sudden it'd be... real soft, real quiet, and you're like, man, I gotta crank this up, because I wanna hear it. Because, you know, I'm deaf from all the other music, I was just playing with Black Sabbath in it, man. So you got this really soft piece, and you crank it up because you wanna hear it, because they're really phenomenal, really cool space sound, right? And then the next song kicks in, you go, oh my god, I quit, grab the mic, control you to blow the mic, you blow the speakers, man, oh! you know that kind of thing so just a heads up there it's a quiet piece the pantera piece they tweaked it a bit re-engineered the and constructed accordingly check it out uh... probably just throw it in here a little bit just for the fun of it because again ear candy is a good thing on communications tuesday or any day this is of course liberty tree radio uh... i would also point out again we were talking about handheld radios needless to say Couple other things. Somebody asked me, is there any way that we can weatherize radios more so than they already are? Because a lot of the China radios, I mean, they're good. But like any radio that's out in the field, the first thing that's susceptible is the battery pack. to oxidation. Anything you've got where you've got a battery system involved, wherever the contacts are, they minimally wash the contacts, they get any kind of moisture, or they get any kind of leakage off the battery system, and you're losing performance, you're going to end up with oxidation, etc. Well, this is where we get back to the whole thing about there are weatherizing sleeves, or at least protective sleeves, they offer some protection. Again, there's only so much you can do to cover up a tiny, tiny, tiny radio, guys. Number one, your controls are too stinking small for your fingers. That's just a fact. To make everything smaller and do what they did, it fits into a neat little spot. But the problem is that you also then can't cover it up. You start adding more layers of protection. It kind of girths everything out and makes it difficult to reach it. You just can't manipulate it. That's the whole thing. I was just laughing with Star Trek. You got these guys with a tricorder. If you ever look at how they're actually configured, we got a copy of a tricorder here, a play one. And you know, Star Trek prop. And it's like, yeah, yeah, right. Hopefully I clip my little fingernails so that they're a digital stylus that's about pencil point sharp in the middle, right? Because otherwise, how in the hell are you working those stinking buttons? I don't care what anybody says. OK, they're just not real. There's a point at which you have to balance out size with rugged potential, rugged performance in the field. Let me give you an example of this. We have all kinds of space age and I was just talking about neat ear pieces and stuff. Let me ask you something. Take a look at what the troops are wearing for headsets right now for combat operations. How big are they guys? Are they the tiny little earbuds? Have you gone to government liquidation when I pointed this out that these look like industrial ear muffs? that they're built like a brick doghouse, that they actually have gone full circle back towards naval grade or real industrial military grade. Because little things do work, but remember that you're constantly in the field. What I mentioned in the first are about replacements and spare parts. You need lots of little goodies, lots of little widgets. Why? Well, if you don't, then when the time comes, well, It's not going to work that well for you. Because the first time something hooks up and something pulls out, if you only have one, well maybe you can talk but you might not be able to hear. And fixing stuff like that in the field looks great in a Star Trek episode, but in reality it's micro junk. Okay, it really is throwaway was built to be put together I can fix stuff like that everybody anybody out there you all of you listening can fix it But it's the idea that you're looking at a battlefield environment where things get busted broken bent you run into things you're trying to avoid being run into by things called projectiles and fragmentation and That means that typically when you're trying to get out of the way you're not paying too much attention to where you're going Other than to get the hell away from where you were And there's usually something between point A and point B that becomes the new point B. Pfft! Oh, that tree! Pfft! Oh, that branch! Pfft! all you can see that still quite a bit in there for that last artillery round that you'd up whatever you're running into in the way of a building all but all of the light all door frame rubble on the ground you forgot you were running uphill a little bit door frames at four head up height all men you turn sideways you thought you could see was going on steel pipe already broken off on an angle you turn your head well all that your peace well in your ear it's bleeding On the other hand, if you build it and ruggedize it, you'll notice that you see what I just described, is the reason that the new equipment or is really gone full circle back to gross tech. Okay, hmm, bulky, armored, and heavily reinforced so that it doesn't pull apart can take a lot of flexing. See, there's another thing that we've talked about. In fact, even MREs. They made a machine to bend MREs. Why? Well, the federal government spec said that the MRE had to survive in its pouch 10,000 flexings. I really stopped for a minute and it goes, flexings? Yeah, you know, where you bend the pouch back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. Now, what did that represent? Well, it represented you putting your MRE pouch, taking it out of the, here's what a lot of guys did when they first got them, and we still do. You pack more food, do it, use all these pockets you got. So you take one, you put it in the popcorn pocket along with a bunch of other stuff you've got stuffed in there, and when you move your leg, there's a flex. Well, how many times do you move your leg in a mile if you walk a mile? You walk two miles? Did you walk uphill? Did you walk cross-country? Did you step up into the APC and step back down again out of the APC? Did you hop out of the back of a deuce and a half? Did you fall out of the back of a deuce and a half? Because you were going to leap out of it, jump out of the back and kind of miscalculated and that little chunk of combo wire was there and it was like, yeah, I've done that. No, you mean that every day didn't go perfect for Mark? No, just a reverse. I'd be the first to tell you while everybody else goes, oh that's stupid. Like when we do videos, we leave stuff in that's really cool because it's like, oh, that's real life. And then you've got dunderheads, incompetence, and armchair idiots that'll do the, oh, that's really stupid. I'm just a young fool. Yeah, only to have the same doofus stand up, turn around, and trip over the coffee table next to his chair, fall sideways, spill the can of Coke. Uh, he hit the nut tray that's got the glass nut tray that flips up in the air, he hits his knee on the coffee table, falls sideways, bounces his head on the floor, which by the way, oak, and gets a concussion, the glass tray comes up, flips end over end, and smacks right into his eye socket, taking out his left eye as it embeds. Yeah, it's a square tray, you know, glass. Yeah, yeah, yeah. see how that works yet do first of course you know grace uh... yapping about somebody else notoriously is about as clumsy as the day is long anyway on his best day so anyway case in point here that because of things going bad and south constantly most all of your military equipment and i don't care if it's world war two korean or vietnam era and or desert dust one the adventure begins which mostly is overlapping post vietnam stuff The technology was abused. It was intentionally abused to destruction and then they modified it, fixed it and advanced accordingly. Now does this mean that it's perfect and it still is going to break? Hey, you give a soldier a chance and give him a tool or give him something, he'll break it. But it takes a lot more to break it. Just that simple. And so headsets. Let me give you an example on PRC handsets. You'll notice that almost all of them that are sold as surplus, what's the one thing broken on all of them? Or at least let's put it this way, 70%. Unless they were in the kit as a spare. The plastic cast hanger that's made of the same material as the handset. Have you noticed that? Now why is that? Well I'll tell you there's two reasons. Number one, people that go of it, they drop it, it falls, hits the ground the wrong angle, snap, that's all she brought. I've seen that happen dozens of times. The other thing is, you like to take that handset and on your hanger gear when you were using the TA-56 or the TA-90 gear, you got a loop hanger on the left and right side that's used for your strap suspension pull-throughs. For instance, on the Type 56 gear, that was actually for holding one of its many purposes. It was to hold the spaghetti straps for your sleeping bag harness. Did you know that? Well, it made a really convenient hanger for the radio headset. Why? Well, if you look at where it's located, it was right there on the left, a little bit about 4 o'clock to where your points of the compass are if somebody looked at you head on. And the neat thing is that you could press the mic and just angle your head and you could just you hear what was going on and you could move your face just enough so your mouth could speak into the handset, the receiver. So again, it was a solution. Unfortunately, when they jam them on there, the guys have a tendency, something like they could be running along through the woods, so all of a sudden they had to start double-timing it. and that umbilicus, that coiled quiet cable that hooks up to your handset and hooks up to your radio set would get hooked on something, stretch out for a moment and if you were lucky it just got pulled out of the fixture, beat you in the head as it strung by, as it sprung by, because remember that's coil wire. And then you'd have to reel it in because it was still hooked up to your radio. If it was a bad oopsie, what would happen is it would hook just enough on your web gear, pull the web gear up, smack into the lower part of your chin, take the headset and do that at the same time so you get a little dimple spot, you know, a little round circle on your chin there on the left side. And then on top of that you hear a crack. And that little hanger that's on the back of the headset would still be attached to your basic gear. The handset itself would be hanging behind you if you were moving forward and you were smart enough to slow down a bit. It would be hanging off that branch or that chunk of steel or that piece of equipment you ran by. Well, you couldn't use that hanger anymore on that handset, so you had to improvise, adapt, and overcome. So you grabbed an M14 single mag pouch, cut a hole in the bottom of that. They're just big enough for the cable to go through. You hook that up on your TA's 56 gear or your TA90 gear at about a midpoint. Use some duct tape or electrical to hook it up. It was perfect for holding your handset and covering it up so it was less likely you could hook down something. You could pull it through because you cut the hole in the bottom of the M14 single mag pouch. Those were cloth and they were part of the Type 54 Webgear that was supposed to be standard, but we kind of went away from along with a bunch of other stuff. The neat thing is that the single mag pouches were a dime a dozen. Literally, they were like $20 for a dollar. So you could grab them usually at uniform sales and they were over with the miscellaneous web gear, you know, with the old dusty bins, they actually stacked up brand new. So that was a solution. The handset would rest in there, you could still use it. Some guys even cut holes in the front of the, because this was canvas, it didn't have the, the single mag pouches did not have any side panels to armor the mag. So you could cut a hole in the base and you cut a hole up top. and your receiver would be still out. You could still, you know, through the canvas you could just push the talk switch and you'd still do the same you did when it had a hanger. And it would be protected to a degree from the weather so it kept it cleaner, kept it drier, etc. Little tricks, stuff that worked. You could still just pull when you wanted to use the handset, you just pull it right out through the pouch and the the the millicus came right up through the base and you use it the way you normally would, no big deal. Bunch of little tricks. Stupid stuff, again with available junk. and you weren't out anything because it cost pennies to make it work or you got it out of supply either way Anyway, let's see, we're headed towards the bottom of the arc. Here, I'm gonna pick something else out here to play. That way, we don't have to worry about burdening anybody there, because I got some fun stuff. This is another young lady, and again, the music will be recognized if you're familiar with the latest Hobbit series, the stuff that's going on with the movies there. The third one will be out soon, smog, and then we'll be disposed of, and then as we know, the Battle of Five Armies is coming up, and that's of course the Hobbit, not with us. So don't worry about that. But as it is, let's see if I can cue this up right. I think I can and I hope I got everything where it's supposed to be. So we're gonna have a little ear candy here again. Another piece of music. Battle music, kids! This is stuff that I plan on using with other videos. Unique artist, cool voice, young lady. Check it out. We'll be right back here in a moment. We are back! And bottom of the arm for everybody out there, it is Liberty Radio. It is a mu- rainy day here. And by the way, be prepared. for all the other work that needs to be done. Borders are wide open, battles coming, not a matter if, just a matter of when. You've got a stinkin' foreign president on American soil telling America how we need to shut up and surrender our country to those pigs. Hell with all these bastards. As far as I'm concerned, like I said, take a two by four, step it up, that Mexican president's piece of arse. shove it right to the top of his head and kick him in a hind end way take that human popsicle stick you just made run him over the border and throw his hind end over where it belongs take that communist piece of filth brown with him the two communists can go back to mexico a reba a reba andale andale we'll get the rest of the job done when the time comes but for everybody out there we all need a voice up on this because i'm finished as far as that garbage goes that fool if he was in front of me i'd b slap him in the heartbeat Not even think twice. Stuff it, Clowney. You worthless foreign piece of turd. And that's the attitude everybody needs to take towards these characters across the board. That is the only thing that is going to get the job done, kids. We've got a lot of work to do. So, as it is, bottom of the hour. And we are looking at, again, the end of the year bill. It's a one-time thing. We've got to take care of it. We need your help to get it done. Take the time to go to. w w w dot liberty tree radio for and g dot com w w w dot liberty tree radio dot for m g dot com we go to the page right in the middle there you'll see what our goal is we are truly transparent unlike that liar in the outhouse that for her that piece of trash trying to destroy america you know that uh... canyon that whatever the hell is who knows i mean we can't mark in the old nose yo kenyao baboon is sold knuckle drag us all whatever years Anyway, the golf player, playing golf while America burns, that's his agenda. He plans on playing the Nero scam. Well, we'll just Nero signed in too when the time comes. As far as, gotta get him into a court, we're gonna have to make sure he's properly tried for his foreign actions against the American people and the collaborators that are foreigners working with him. including the kosher mafia that's trying to destroy this country, ruin this nation. We're going to have to deal with them, that's all there is to it. And America's going to have to make some decisions here real quick about whether or not they're going to let the ship sink. So, ain't going to be easy, going to be a lot of work. Hey, the alphabet soup agencies, they're going to side with the communists. That's why we're going to have to fight them. Be prepared to do it. Organize, arm, equip, and train as militia. Once you are done with the organizing part, remember SOP and prior proper planning, the pre-principle system put into effect. Prior proper planning prevents piss poor performance. Make sure that you've got your technology up and online. Understand how to make it work. It work for you best. Make sure that when you do engage the enemy, destroy them utterly. Don't let a single element return to where they came from and let only a rumor of their destruction return to that place. Mariam facedown in pig feces and an unmarked grave and throw them into the dustbin of history that they thought they were going to toss all of us into. Well they need to reduce the population by you first. Yeah, we're going to reduce it. No, you first. All of them first. Everyone flapping their gums about that. Them first. How's that sound? No, that wasn't the plan. Yes, I'm sure that's the case. I'm sure that wasn't the plan. So we'll just make sure that's dealt with accordingly when the time comes. What do you say? Anyway, another artist and some really cool music. Another young lady, by the way, I've been playing with some different video work trying to again experiment with some of the other technologies we already have on the shelf. And if everything goes well, we should have some pretty cool stuff showing up on Liberty Tree Radio. Well, we already do have some cool stuff on Liberty Tree Radio. Please take the time, check it out, rate the videos, give them a thumbs up, and share them in all the social media that you can, please. Anyway, just past the bottom of the hour here. Another band, this is Nightwish by the way, some of you may recognize it, but the girls singing, a little different. Again, looking for unique artists with voices that are really phenomenal, but a little different. In other words, if you were paying attention to that last song, the girl who did that, a little different accent. Maybe you noticed that. construction of words, things of that nature. Kind of fascinating, but also very well executed, very well appointed. That's what we're looking for. Anyway, another piece here, Ear Candy for Communications Tuesday. Why? Because we can do it here. We own the network, so to speak. It is a beautiful Communications Tuesday. CQ, CQ. This is KWA359 or Echo Echo Foxtrot. You copy? Over. CQ CQ this is K double a three five nine or echo echo Foxtrot. Do you copy over? Now for everybody out there we got some radio events coming up and we have knob Creek machine gun shoot this next month Actually two months out because it's October. Hopefully we will have some sponsorship from knob Creek I will be talking to the big man down there tomorrow morning. I've missed him yesterday Over the weekend that was trying to get hold of him, but too many things going on there I don't really try to do that Monday's the best time or during the week first thing in the morning and before we even do the program in the morning. That's when I got to catch him. Otherwise the boss is out and about. So we will hopefully get the big guy up here again to talk about Knob Creek and let everybody know what's going on. Plus we're looking at a little sponsorship for the next couple of months. But communications, we will be talking in one of the things that is going to happen this year. Hopefully we're going to be setting up two signal communications vans that will be up on the ridge. We will be broadcasting from the down creek area pretty much broad spectrum. We are going to be doing shortwave, all categories. We are going to be doing 2 meters, 6 meters, CB of course, and both Civil Defense CB. Now don't confuse these two because they are two different nets. Civil Defense CB in its traditional form from the 50s through to the 60s. conventional CB as you know it to include upper and lower single side band experimentation there for range. Now, I just got a Cobra base here virtually for free, another one. I just cleaned up, it's in beautiful condition actually, it's like it was just out of the box. Obviously, though, it was in somebody's shop. Whoever had it did take care of it pretty well. And even though this is, again, one of the older units, it has upper and lower sideband, full 40-channel capacity, and it's not one of the light transmitters. One thing I would remind you about, people always ask me, Mark, should we keep the 23-channel radios? Yes. Why? Well, here's how it works. when government is involved they always screw you that rule number one if government involved you're screwed right everybody understand that we're not there to help you there are mock things up and they all like you said well that's a government's number bring up in uh... The Serenity slash Firefly series member Firefly others again. Well, that's what governments are for to mess with people You know not to help them basically. Well, that's exactly what we're looking at here CB Well, kick, you know went off big-time pre pre-date cell phones guys, but you know, obviously 40 years, you know, well 20 years cell phones actually were out by the 70s but they were as you know we were joking about the other day they're like shoe boxes well they weren't quite the size of a shoe box but they were radio telephones which is all your little Star Trek communicator is too it's just a radio telephone that you have more towers to receive the signal okay Well, anyway, 23 channels, everybody started using them. Well, everybody did start using them to the point where there were limitations. We need more bandwidth. We need more space for all these people using CB radios. It's just getting bigger and bigger. And of course, all the different companies, UNIDAN, COBRA, et cetera, et cetera, Midland, everybody that made radios, of course, was being regulated by the Fed. So the argument was, well, we needed to go to 40 channels we needed more channels ideally they originally asked for a hundred they only and I'm actually with upper and lower Sidemen the ice they got that but most people realize how they work that out but as it is the first step was 23 channels how radios were very powerful could reach farther because there weren't as many radios out there but then when they went to and said we're going to give you more channels We're gonna get tutored! I think you mean neutered, sir. What? No, the boss said, the owner said, we're gonna go get tutored. I'm going to the truck. We're going to the mat. I'm gonna get tutored! No, I think there's another word there, but you probably misspelled, you misspoke. Well, it's okay. You'll find out soon enough. Well, they did get the other 17 channels. Number one, contrary to what everybody thinks, or actually it appears because of what your radio works, is while it does say channel 1, 2, 3, 4 all the way up to 40, when you get to 23, there is a jump, number one, in the frequencies there. And you know, in other words, 23 is not next to 24. Does everybody know that? Okay, right off the bat. Here, if you play with a frequency counter, you'll go, whoa, wow, where did we go with this? And it's really cool, but it's just the way they, again, the junk frequencies we were given when we got the other 17, if they had been side by side, there are some null frequencies there that are just so clean, everybody would have been fighting over them. Because it's like you're literally, I mean, you can get unlimited range out of some of the null, what we call the null frequencies in CB. And guys, you can also talk across the country without a linear. So what they did is when you got to 23 we jumped somewhere and they gave us the junk frequencies. Well on top of that here's what everybody in the industry agreed to. Oh yeah we're going to have 17 more channels and now what we're going to do, now you're going to have 40 channels, we're going to have the output of the transmitters. What? Oh they didn't tell you that. They tweaked back the finals and they of course played with the system. re-engineered them and while they gave you 40 more channels, you kind of went up the scale in one direction, in the other direction you degraded. That's why a lot of people became really good at upgrades on the radios that were out there because well, you could take a 23-channel and tweak it too and open it up. Without a linear, you could really make that little duck box boom, although mid-boxes and such could do even more. But the 40-channel radios right from the get-go were already crippled. intentionally crippled. That was not an accident. That was part of the negotiating process with the, you know, the faggots with the FCC, the kosher mafia there, because, oh, heaven forbid, the peasants should have maw. And we can't have that. They're getting around us with the spying thing that we're doing. So again, what happened is the systems were dialed back. However, a lot of people caught onto this real quick and well there were a lot of radio CB aficionados out there who did a fine job of fixing things for you. They'd lift the hood and little tweak here, little bridge there and you were back up to full output with a very short period of time with most radios but not with all of them. So there is a shopping list. Forgive me, I don't have it on my fingertips, but there are certain models that if you can find them used are preferred and you should always grab them. My attitude is, like the other day, I got a CB for $1.23 channel. It's actually about a 10 watt rig, even though it's a small box. It was made by Midland during the transition years when they started to throw CB out there into the commercial market early 70s. Graybox, nothing fancy, typical police radio look to it, but it's a CB radio that actually will push a signal. Got the whole rig, got the antenna, got the coax, got everything for a dollar. The radio works beautifully. It's already set up and it's sitting somewhere on the stand by radio hooked up to a piece of equipment. So there you go. Again, don't say you can't find it, but again, what do you do with them? Well, clean them up, check all the connections, make sure there's no oxidation on the power supply link up points, the connect points if it requires an add-on plug. Most of them did when they were older. If it's a 12 volt system, always check of course also your coax connectors, take a toothbrush, clean up the threads, make sure there's no oxidation there because typically that's where you will find it in the long run. A lot of times that's set under the dash, it sits on the floor, it collects moisture, your boots are wet, it's winter time, you get salt, all kinds of fun stuff. Oh yeah, see that's how you remember how that happened, I do. Anyway, for that reason, clean the stuff up, check to make sure everything works. Before you power it up, make sure that everything is connected. You might want to even open up the back end of the cover, look to see that there's nothing snipped or pulled or bent or twisted or folded or spindled or mutilated. That's a rule. Put the cover back on, make sure that you've got the coax properly connected, screwed in, then connect the power. Make sure that the Switches are all in neutral positions and that the power switch is in the off position. Plug in the power, and then we're going to just initiate putting power into the system. We're not going to turn the volume up right away. We're just going to start it just beyond initiating power stage. Then we're going to move the volume control up a little bit. Let's see what kind of background noise we get. Now we can identify whether or not we're going to adjust squelch. OK, I think we can turn that down a little bit. Just on the edge of perception, there we go. There we are. Now we're where we need to be. And then we're going to, again, look at the meter. Do we have the meter spiking? Is there power going through something that shouldn't? You'll be able to tell that by your meter and the output right there off the bat. That's not doing anything strange. Then we make sure the microphone is mic is hooked up properly and click it. Let's see what it does. OK, we get a little spike on the meter, nothing extreme. do it again and now let's push to talk cq cq this is fishbonder for you know duck quack six you copy over yeah ten forward good buddy well whatever you're going to use for your passwords codes and you know for monikers that's up to you but the big thing is again always take your time inspect everything check everything before you powered up and key it up Most important, now some of the equipment you don't want to run non-stop. I would remind everybody that there's some pretty nice radio rigs out there guys that are awfully convenient for our purposes especially with all of the cool stuff that has been floating around over the years out there and especially when you take into consideration the fact that some of these rigs Tube sets used to be $100 radios, not anymore. Sometimes you get them for nothing. Like I said, the Cobra station I just picked up I got for free, basically. I mean, I can't calculate what I paid for it. I mean, 80 cents, 60 cents, 25 cents. I don't know. Figure out the, you know, when you look at all the other stuff I picked up for in the big pile of stuff there. The big thing is, again, remember that some of these can be applied to CB radio, you know, rebroadcasters. Some of these pieces of equipment have or actually go beyond up and above and below the CB range. Multitask radios, in some cases, and this is where you have to be careful before you hook stuff up, pay attention and look to see if there are extra little toggle switches on the bottom of the machine or on the side of the machine in odd places. I wonder what that does. Oh look, there's some handwriting there too. With an on and off, and usually with a black Sharpie or whatever. And kind of faded. Well chances are, either boosters or onboard amplifiers. In addition to that, additional circuitry may have been attached or again, they've opened up the machine so it can go below standard CB and above standard CB. It may also be an upper and lower sideband control switch. That's why you need to investigate. If you don't know what you're doing, I want to have somebody else look at that. What does that do? Oh, they added an upper lower sideband control. They actually added a circuit here. It's on the board, but it wasn't on your original machine. Yeah, they plugged it in and he put a switch here for your upper and lower. That's upper, that's neutral, or you know, that's standard, that's lower. So three position switch. Oh, okay, that's what that does. And a lot of times, especially where people had radios they really liked, they didn't want to switch out, they already paid $150, $200 for the radio, so they paid a few more dollars to upgrade it to upper and lower sideband. This is also true of a lot of your shortwave rigs. The onboard add-on circuit, now for instance like my Mohawk and a couple of the other, you know, the Heathkit radios, Guys, they have on board, or I should say they have add-on modules that are the size of half of a bread box that actually open that radio up to all up and down the shortwave slash the ham spectrum. I have all the add-on modules for the Mohawk that I have in addition to the standard transceiver fixtures the way they should be. So what's really cool is it's a nice system. Remember that, well, as we got more sophisticated, went from tube to solid state, that people who were in the know, a lot of guys, Vietnam, era military, coming out of service, they'd worked with all of the space age technology. They came out and they started building things. This is another reason when you get a whole bunch of stuff in your inheriting you get a bench. Well, there's a bunch of these stupid little add-on boxes. They're little boxes. I don't know what they do, but there's a bunch of them here and they got plugs and fixtures and there's some little notes and whatever. I don't know what they are. I'm gonna chuck them. Well, you don't know what you're dealing with there yet. You might want to hang on to them because in many cases the guys might have been building for other people add-on boxes and boards. to open up that FM radio or open up that 2 meter radio or open up that fill in the blank. We used to be much more trade oriented back in the day as far as knowing how to do things. Maybe that's grandpa now but back in the 60's and 70's somebody had just come back from Vietnam, they'd spent some time in Hong Kong, they'd been over to Thailand. They had bought goodies. In fact, they also learned a lot while they were in the military. They were soldering stuff and connecting stuff. They were doing all kinds of unique things. When they came home, they applied that working knowledge. It's a very dynamic and exciting era, not like today. But because of that and again the innovations that were developed there by these people coming back are what were applied to the industry through the late 70s and 80s and into the 90s and that technology is by no stretch of the imagination obsolete. In fact just to reverse. Now we've gone full circle where a lot of this technology supersedes or exceeds the potential of your enemy in terms of his normal field deployments. You have the ability to work outside the box. the more of this unique technology, kind of like we were talking about with courier work, if I have to send couriers with information, zip drives, four-track, floppy disk, soft floppy disk. If you can't pull the information off it because you have nothing to read it with until you get something to read it with, and even then the material and information is coded Then by the time they are able to find a reader, actually, again, listen to or read whatever is there or process through their artificial intelligence whatever is there, they still have to determine the code process, obviously, and if it's a phonetic code system using the book system, it's virtually useless for them. There's nothing that will give them the information that they need. By the time they've cracked anything, let's say that somehow you think they've got a telepathy machine, you know, telepathy. It's telepathy, man, I'm telling you, I've seen this before, telepathy. And somehow they are so, you know, incredibly enlightened that they're able to pull the data. It's already obsolete. Number one, you know the messenger is probably compromised if you don't receive the information, right? The data stream has been corrupted. By the time that they decide to act on whatever you've been transferring, the operation has already changed. Second and third line activities have been incorporated, and the rest is history as far as how things work. Anyway, oh, wow. Again, for, okay, well, we got a couple of different things there. For our friends that are out there on the border situation, I want to say again remember the older tech will work. Take the time, plug it in, know where it's established or how it's set up, and then organize and activate it accordingly. And I want to say to a couple of our friends, by the way, we just got some of the mail that was at the PO Box. So for all of our friends, again, we got the legal mail. Appreciate the pass, the add-on information. I'll go through that tonight. Also, again, a reminder, before going any farther, we just sent out medical supplies to another location. Here in Michigan, guys, in the next 12 hours, you're going to have somebody drop and buy some crates. So a heads up for our friends in the middle of the state, they're over west of Lansing. You have packages on the way. The driver already picked them up. and he'll be stopping on the way through headed towards the runway headed towards the aerodrome so we've got that in motion Anyway, we're almost to the top of the hour. I was going to play another piece of ear candy, but I don't think we need to do that because we're going to be, again, signing off here in a minute. And Joe is going to be picking up where we leave off. Going to be growing things, guys. We got more water. We got water. We got rained on. It rained. This is the downpour that Don had yesterday, about a day ago. We finally got it here. It came west and south. So yep, it's moist outside. The kittens of course had to enjoy a lightning storm, something for the new ones, or a pod keyboard upgrade. Anyway, I hear the music. Welcome back to Crawl Your Own The Fighting Rebels. grow your own, the budding revolution and educational solution focused interactive gardening program for those of you all out there interested in growing your own food, homesteading as well as permaculture. Folks, permaculture stands for permanent agriculture and it's really a process of functional design for a piece of property where over time you can provide all your own needs without depending on supermarkets, without depending on that power company, or the water company. Maybe they won't be there in the near future. So in permaculture, we just set out to put a piece of property there, put some structures in. We want to take advantage of the resources that already exist in nature on that property. So, it supports itself with minimal maintenance. So, it will have to run around going crazy every single year. Now, in permaculture, in order to set up a permanent system, you do have to put in a good deal of work the first two, three, four years. But that is not forever. So, I'd rather do more work up front while I still have the energy and then just kind of let things go as they need to. There's a lot of aspects of permaculture and that includes a lot of the topics that we talk about on our show here. More permaculture, in my view, is always better because more permanence leads us to abundance. Abundance, folks, is the exact opposite of communism. Communism, as we know, is based on shortages and rationing of food. In communism and these sorts of systems historically, people stand in line and share the shortage. Now, in direct opposition to that, a system of permanence is designed to eliminate shortages, eliminate the need for rationing, and ultimately resist the voracious march of the communist agricultural laws that are preventing our nation's family farmers, that's you and me, when a little plot of ground, preventing us from being truly productive. Okay, so there's a teaser. Folks, we're coming at you live tonight and direct from these United States. It's Communications Tuesday, the 26th of August, 2014.
