Mark Koernke and Don Betcher discussed militia security operations in Vassar, Michigan, including federal surveillance mapping. The show featured extensive product reviews from Uncle Sam's Retail Outlet, covering surplus military gear including holsters, tools, MOLLE equipment, and heavy machinery available through government liquidation auctions. They addressed tactical preparedness topics including sound and light discipline in field operations, night vision technology and its proper use, friend-foe identification methods, and lessons from historical military examples. Don shared observations about wildlife behavior observed through night vision, including skunks and coyotes. The hosts discussed the southern border situation and illegal immigration numbers, and promoted night vision equipment sales.

A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat and speaking low to me he said, We've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations this legacy we gave. In this the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this the land of the free and home of the brave. You vie permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors, so their children will be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores, and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children? to live in fear and be a slave. O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each God given right we only watch in tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave is this? echo echo there Cool, it's like we're in a stadium stadiums something Floyd the dark side of the moon or somebody else has got something open. And I'm Don Betcher. One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines in occupied territories west, east, south, and north. Well, ladies and gentlemen, you were listening to us on... libertytreeradio.4mg.com IndianaFreedomTalkRadio.com and we are on AM and FM microstations, CB base stations, good evening to channel 2729. Channel 31 is actually up there in Vassar and is doing a security test sweep for combat operations. So Vassar, Michigan's got new support groups on the ground there. Militia units are now doing a sweep and security survey of what feds are on the ground to perpetrate whatever. We'll have a complete survey, a map, and a complete intel report here for CMM and for other mission militia units by the end of tomorrow. So that will be complete. Total overview, satellite imagery, ground mapping, locations confirmed by radio scan. We know where all the bad guys are because your enemy is like a bleeding blip, guys! I mean a major bleeding blip! with all the radio equipment they carry. They are a tag. So they can't hide. They can't. Even though, spooks and kooks, they're not. Crazy, yes, but not exactly a secret squirrel. Anyway, we're also on Hallmark, Golden Spike, and UltraNet Technologies across the United States, east and west of the Mississippi, along with Alaska. Don, what is the date today, sir? Mark, it is the 16th day of July, year of our Lord 2014. It turned out after the rain to be a beautiful day. Again, sun going down. It could be an artist rendition of how a sky should look in the middle of July in Michigan. But again, hey, 16 July 2014 and that is the strike down. That's the middle of the calendar, the piece of paper that hangs on the wall there. And I got to do this. Hey, 1911 in one hand and magazine in the other, much like the middle of the calendar, they kind of fit together there. And that one was rather rapid, wasn't it? But you touched it. that slide relief all you know what and we've got a malfunction here i've never seen before back in and drowned in and it is weapons one thing the perimeter is secure and immediate action that there's plenty more that came from we can offer equal opportunity course of force on handguns and hand cannons real quick here uncle sam's pervert There is a link to Uncle Sam's Retail Outlet.com. When you get to Uncle Sam's Retail Outlet, there is a brown bar across the top of the page that says Uncle Sam's Retail Outlet over in the upper left-hand corner. Anyway, there's home, new arrivals, Shop by brand, sale, testimonials, blog, clearance, gift cards, login, register and contact. Sales and clearance are always the first thing you check out. Go over to the clearance zone. Go to page 4, and because somebody was asking me about these, they say about holsters. UM-84 Holsters. This is the Weckworth M12 pistol holster. It used to be known as the UM-84. In this case, guys, this will handle a lot of the medium big frame, 9mm class, most of the pistols that are out there. This is, it's supposed to be, the original design was ambidextrous. In other words, you can switch it from left to right back and forth. I don't know if the M12, since it's got a specific nomenclature name here, but the UM84s were M-indexterous. These, though, are in used but excellent condition, including shipping. You've got to pay attention. Most of this stuff through gov liquidation when it goes to the retail sale, not all of it, because there's some big but heavy items. We've got some winches that are on sale. More on that in a minute. They have the M12s for $899, so that's $9 a piece, but there's no shipping. So whatever you see there, guys, if you snag it and tag it as the holsters go. This is the standard holster that will fit on the U.S. pistol belt. It will go on your MOLLE gear, etc. There's a number of different ways it's going to be hooked up, but no matter how you look at it, it is a decent holster. First of all, it's a ballistic nylon slash cordura. And these things have held up well. You've got to remember, UM, let me give you a little hint, 84. Now that 8-4 might represent something. Really it's the M 1984 design. Most of these have been in service since the 80s. You can bet they built a whole bunch of them that year. Yeah, exactly. They're all over the place guys. Now this is a good holster for $9. There are others, and I'm going to bring this up in a minute, but walking you through it, Uncle Sam's retail outlet, go to clearance, go to page 4, second item down $8.99. Now they've got a bunch of other SK tools, Don, that just showed up. And pay attention, because here's an example of why you want to scroll through and look at things. They've got an SK 15 and 16 millimeter short, deep, offset box wrench, brand new, unissued. They've got about 54 of these available. They're $10.12 a piece. Now guys, if you know what SK Tools cost, that's a reasonable price for a lifetime warranty SK Tool. But these aren't beat up. These are brand new and the box never issued. However, they got the exact same wrench two boxes down for another dollar if you want to pay more. If you didn't think $10 was enough, you can pay $1,124 for the exact same wrench from another facility. I think I'd buy the cheaper one of the two because they're both SK. They're both the same size and they're both the same model. And because you don't work for the U.S. government. Right. My brains are working in this one. My brain juices are blowing. I can think. So anyway, but there are a lot of SK and other, in fact there's a couple things I'd really, really been, I'm going to talk to Nancy about how we can break down and spend a few dollars, I mean dollars. They have a KAL speed handle, half inch drive. Guys, remember, no shipping, $3.59. Now, KAL is as good as SK. In fact, there are guys that will tell you, hell, with SK, they like KAL. Like, yeah, KAL, the salesman does a better job. I don't know. But however you look at it, the idea is you're looking at virtually, again, a $40 tool for how much? $3.59. You probably don't have that tool in your drawer because you couldn't afford it. Because you couldn't justify the tool in the toolbox because of the cost. You had other things to buy, like the parts you were going to put in the car, right? But for $3.59, now they have 43 of these in stock, obviously all from the same pile of tool kits I would assume, Don. You're looking at a very, very useful tool, a half inch drive being also a little girth here. Remember that, guys. So just something to take into consideration. Lots of box tools, lots of sockets. The other thing they've got in the sales section, the very first item in the sales section, Proto Professional, half inch drive, 5.16 socket, $1.12. That's what you pay for a Chycom version. You can't walk into your three goofy guys auto store these days and buy that for that. You touch it. In fact, they've got a special rack for Proto. Again, they've got 267 of these and they're new. These are out at Oklahoma, but remember this is the Shop-By credit card and no shipping this item qualifies for free shipping So we're trying to help you out. You guys have heavy equipment It's like looking for the toolbox for my gear well go over to where uncle Sam has a whole fleet of heavy equipment and They get rid of things like this all the time now. This is an uncle Sam's retail outlets www.retailoutlet.com, www.UnclesamsRetailOutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.UnclesamsRetailOutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www.retailoutlet.com, www. Now these are used but everybody that I know that's bought them says they're in excellent condition so they're like new. Now this is in that sage green so it kind of goes in, it'll work with everything because remember it's base strapping and a hanger. But these same items are going for $17.15 right now through any of the retail outlets. $3.14 will get you one. They've got 39 available but if you've got MOLLE gear you're putting together and you're putting together OD Green or you're putting together an ACU kit, Since this is supposed to be in the ACU, that sage base color that they use for all their strapping, here's the solution. $3.14. That's a far cry from $15 a unit. And again, no shipping. Whatever the price is, that's it. Now these are at Columbus, Ohio. And again, that is go to the Uncle Sam's retail outlet, go to clearance. in the first page almost to the bottom and they are again $3.14 a unit bunch of other Mollie gear they've got a set of side panel side plate pocket sets brand new double set in coyote brown for $3.37 I'm going to give you a heads up on something. There is going to be a massive wave of Coyote brown stuff coming through. The goblet quidation sale, we're talking 10, 12, 14,000, 5,000 or 3,000 pieces of stuff per lot. In other words, 3,000 M4 double mag pouches, 500 utility sustainment pouches. I just read the inventory here about a half hour ago. And so there's going to be a bunch of the MOLLE gear in the Coyote Brown coming through. Will that work everywhere? Well, it actually does work pretty well up here, although it would be nice to break it up. But it really works well down in the border where our troops are going right now. So, we can actually afford to outfit troops and put them in the field with fairly modern gear that I'm not excited about. I'm not critical. I can use anything. In fact, I'm not switching off from the web gear I'm using. I'm making other kits and I'll experiment with them. But so far I'm not seeing anything that really thrills me about the Moly Gear. It works, but it has advantages and disadvantages. Like I've seen in the past, lots and lots of gear has to be stacked on lots and lots of gear which means even though it's all ultra light gear when you start piling up all these ultra light pouches before you even load them, you're looking at pounds. You need an ultra bigger parachute. Yeah, exactly. And an extra drop hanger because you've got to get rid of some of the weight before you impact quite the speed. Yeah. It will slow down a little bit by throwing that bag and letting it tether 100 feet down below you, remember? Yeah, you guys know how to do that. Anyway, there is a bunch of other stuff there though. In the ACU, guys, if you go through the pouch sets, there are a bunch of ACU pouch sets for the Grenadiers, also in the double, triple, and whatever mag pouches. So you could put an ACU set together cheap right now. It's a drug on the market. It really is. It's going to be the other one that's going to be out there in force because, yeah, a lot of the guards are stuck with it because they're not going to upgrade to all that brown stuff they're throwing out the back door. Yeah, this is how it always works in government. The older equipment's going to be stuck with the troops. The brand new stuff that's new in the box, new in the wrapper, never issued, that's going to get sold out the back door. So again, if I were in the system, I'd be scanning this place constantly and I'd be upgrading my troops. That'd be my job. Get everybody to do it for a few dollars. Mark it cost us $2,000 to buy new ACU gear. Now we'll go to our own government and buy it for about probably $50 for everything you need. Then we can outfit our troops for less and the quartermaster would fail us completely like they always do. Yeah, that works. I've been in the system. That's why I got into surplus years ago when I was in the army. Years ago because that's how we resupplied our guys, that's how we took them ourselves because the system was failing us constantly and it's doing it right now too. So take advantage of it. You're going to be outfitting troops. There's no reason for your 510 program not to look pretty cool. Lots of TA-90 gear coming through in force right now also. Now what do I mean by TA-90? That's the old Alice gear guys and there's nothing wrong with it all. In fact, that's what I plan on doing the next wave of about either 40 or 80 men. I'm going to do 40 outfits and it's all going to be bargain-based. I'm going to show you that for what you can pay for five sets of brand new cutting-edge MOLLE gear, I can outfit 40 men with brand new TA90 gear and Type 56 Vietnam gear and be just as well outfitted as any other time in history, carry just as much. have good equipment that can be broken in by the troops because it will be brand new and well I got 40 men outfitted for the price of five or ten in the other direction if I pay top dollar especially if you look at the du jour camouflage of the day like multi cam everybody's got to have in the prices three to four times as much no matter what it is pouches, packs, web gear so I completely steer clear of that. Now another thing that's showing up down is the other digital cams It's going to be the next another thing you're going to see a lot of. The rarest of the bunch is the Air Force Tiger Digital. Air Force Tiger Digital really does work well, but there's not that much of it out there. It's a good pattern for certain parts of the country like ours. I've been snagging and tagging points and passing it on to people because certain groups here like it. So, we're going to try to clean that stuff out as it shows up because it's not the priority. People are looking at other things that are, you know, again, in vogue for the moment. So, don't pass that up either, but remember, you can completely kid a person out better than probably the average soldier and that your gear will all be uniform, but you paid pennies for it. and the Alice gear works just fine. I'm in fact, I've got World War II equipment that's going to be issued out. Why? It's built heavier, it'll last a good long time. Oh by the way, we're carrying a lot of bolt action guns like the NAGOT, so the web gear is built for a bolt action gun. Already trussed out with the single five round and double five round stripper clip pouches. Well if you're carrying a NAGOT, guess what? It's the system for you. So we have to have a certain number of those 20 years ago, and that's back when we bought the items for 10 cents apiece a nickel apiece 25 cents a Which means what do you mean? I'm only throw them out They're sitting in the barrels in the time storage exactly where they should be when the time comes They'll work. Just fine. We'll all be happy so Next on the list of things to do here. Let's see what else we've got Anyway that Uncle Sam's retail outlet. There's a whole bunch other stuff coming through by the way if you're a train aficionado and you need some tanker cars They have a whole bunch of trained tanker cars coming through the auction right now. You might want to check that out. It comes up on the front page. You'll see the pictures of the tanker cars. Just click the image and you can gradually collect your own choo-choo train. Coming to a spur near you soon. Yes, you'll see. We're not going to put them on your tabletop. These are real trains. They're kind of neat. They have really cool stuff showing up. You know if you got one that was carried milk? or other consumables, that would be a pretty neat vessel to build an underground. We know. Yeah, just a thought, not to mention probably stainless and that would go for a premium just because of what it is. But just a thought, you know. You dig a hole, you put a septic in, you put a well in at the other end going the other way and then you lay that in there and you connect up your plumbing and man oh man. What would you do with a big steel cylinder? Hey, you know we were talking about getting the stuff everything you need to build the fence down there on the border? Yeah. I just switched over and this just came up. 1987 Caterpillar Drill Pack, a drill pack track, drilling machine. You know, if we're doing fence postcards for the auger system, this is the one that goes along and drives along and drills the holes and goes to the next one and drills the holes and pulls the dirt left and right off to the side when it bores. and you just keep, stay right on the line and you keep driving down the line, drilling the holes for your beams, for cross beams for your border fence. Right now it's out at Las Vegas, Nevada. Wow, that's just like a short flatbed truck drive down to the border. What would it cost the government? The price of some diesel to move it. Yeah. You see what I mean? This is what I'm talking about. I mean, there's so much heavy machinery coming through, but the very machinery that would be needed to do the job. And here's the kicker. You take this thing down, and Mark, it's a 1987, yeah, you know what kind of miles it's got on it? What kind of running hours are, like, nonexistent? It's down in the lost wages. Anyway, uh... The unit is very wide and tall, duh, and will require special transport. Okay, so the government would get special papers like yesterday and drag it down there and away they go. But here's the thing, you could fix it up, clean it up, change all the hydraulics, you know, clean out, change all the fluids, take it down to the border and run her until she breaks. What are you out? Then turn it into a little gun platform. Yeah, exactly. It's a track system. In fact, it almost looks like it's a tank platform, an APC platform of some kind that they build it on. One, two, three, four, five primary bogey wheels, three return rollers, which very much looks like an 87, that's not likely, but the platform itself very much looks like an M24 Walker Bulldog. After it doesn't move anymore, you call it a pill box. Right, because that little turret that the drill pack is in turns around and does a full 360, which is really cool. But this is a factory industrial. This is all yellow. It's the standard construction site colors. And you'd recognize the piece of machinery. It's your tax dollars at work, you know, failure. So again, just an idea. Now, other things. On the weapons and technology. We were talking about rifles before we left bolt-action guns. We were just talking about a moment ago. Guys, you don't want a pocket full of chiclets out there. You're trying to be tactical. Things are going to make noise. At the very least, there's a lot of commercial, but very well made, pocket loop pouches that go on gear. Now they're made to go on your belt, so they'll go on a pistol belt, they'll go on a utility belt. You can also put them on a lot of other different vests. And if that's all that you do, you're going to be much more proficient at operating your weapon. Now it doesn't mean you won't stuff your pockets with extra ammo. Everybody stuffs extra mags everywhere they can. But remember that you belly gunners especially, we're counting on you to hit. So focusing on hitting and knowing where all your equipment is is part of the common sense process with every rifleman in the field. I'm not going to tell you exactly how to engineer your kit because you may have come up with a system and it works for you and it will work for you just fine. Now as you apply this in a battlefield situation, you're going to learn with OJT what works and what works better and what doesn't work at all, aren't you? Oh yeah. See how that is? So I won't fight you on that one. You'll find out when the time comes and start to tweak your equipment. That's your job. But have a system in place now. seriously you can either go to cheaper than dirt I hate them let's see Sportsman's Guide hey they got stuff on sale but otherwise they you know they're gouging in other directions it depends on what it is if it's commercial you get stabbed but if you look in their odds and ends and clearance and weird odd piece out because certain chemiflages aren't in vogue anymore you can find 10 pocket or 20 20 10 sleeve or 20 sleeve they got little little elastic sleeves inside the pouch for a cartridge box full of ammunition. And that's cool. That's what we're talking about. The idea that you just have to reload them and then you've got the individual rounds ready to pull. For you guys that have 300, you know, weatherby mags or 300 wind mags or 338 Lapuas or if you've got anything that takes a big cartridge, they don't make stripper clips for those. So, you've got to find a way to keep everything quiet. Chinka, chinka, chinka. You run through the woods at night doing that or running across an area trying to get out and get to cover. You know that, chinka, chinka, chinka, chinka, can be heard two miles away. I've sat and watched whole formations in motion. I've commanded hundreds of people in motion. Especially when everybody is trying to be secret squirrel and you have 300 people in motion, one sound may not go as far, but 300 people making the same kachunka chinka sound really does stand out in the middle of nowhere at night. You know what I mean? You get my drift. So that's why, again, silencing and quieting everything, some people take it seriously, others will find out when they become casualties why they should have. And that's why we're emphasizing this. But sound carries farther at night. There's less background resistance. There's less And this sounds weird, but this is actually what is happening. Number one, as the world stills, in other words, less civilian people activity, you know, cars, horns, people shouting, all of that sound kind of creates a fog, a fuzz that really does buffer itself. One way to get to the end of background. Yeah, well when that disappears, whatever sound is out there is able to move more efficiently. and it will. Light discipline is the same issue. Now we're not going to go any farther until we talk about Don's night vision because Don needs to be, we need to make sure he gets the information out. One of the things that we've talked about with light discipline is white light being a threat. You have to watch constantly, unless you're on the border and you want to light the area up and you want to make lots of noise and lots of imagery so that the other side gets the idea there's people across there, which is really what you would want to do. If otherwise you're in a battlefield situation, white light kills. It destroys your night vision, it hampers your ability to perform, and it creates other problems. And Dom, the industry is going over to that, aren't they? Go ahead, jump in there. Oh, let's address this for a moment in a cascading kind of way. Do you know how to read a map with a flashlight? Do you know how to read a map with a flashlight in a high threat area? We can all read a map with a flashlight. Hey, that's like reading a map in the daytime. How many different colors is your flashlight capable of? There's a reason why you get the different colored lenses. You don't really want to stand around reading your map with a red lens in your flashlight, although the red lines on the map show up really good. Yellow isn't real good. Blue is about the best, but you know what? Blue fits into the ultraviolet portion of the scale that 4th generation work on when we talk about night vision. in order to read a map under the poncho with your white light, your yellow light, your red light, your blue light. But any light that leaks out, if someone's looking in that direction with another piece of night vision, be it friend or foe, well any light that comes out from underneath that poncho is going to be seen. White light and red light are the worst, basically. Blue light right in there for third and fourth generation for the aforementioned reasons. But white light on your face is generally going to be higher unless you're hunkered down, laying down, looking out through the grass or whatnot. White light to a piece of night vision will be a great attractor. White light attracts the human eye far more than even the green light from a green screen piece of night vision does. Just a flicker. Refer back to the three on a match. The match is lit. The sniper brings the gun to that area. The match lights the first cigarette, the match lights the second cigarette, the sniper is taking real careful aim, the match lights the third cigarette and then that guy is doomed. All that was was a match lighting three cigarettes. That's old hat. You've heard that all before, haven't you? That's not down original. These are basic premise. This is one of the do not do at night on a battlefield kind of thing. Now, that same thought line works over to white light on your face. First generation green screen is rapidly disappearing, being replaced by the innards. That's a highly technical term. We could more common and say being replaced by the guts, if I did it on purpose, video cameras and emitting a white light instead of the green light that even the military has decided is a pretty good light to have coming out of a piece of night vision for the aforementioned reasons. The Night Vision video will offer you, will show you how to read a map in the dark. It'll actually watch people doing it. And then they come out from under the... Down there, he just faded on to nothing. Oh, okay. There we go, down there, coming back? I haven't changed. By about a minute. Even the volume was the same, I don't know. But we were talking about white light. And did we lose Don again? Well Ed, no, we've got a very mild version of that wash in the background again. and we might have Don there with us and let's see if Don's available. Well, I'll tell you what we're going to do real quick. We're going to step back and we got Bill. Bill, jump in there please. Oh no, I said still. There we go. So you're on with us. Did you unplug? No, the last thing I heard was you are fading and then I had a busy signal and we've been having problems with the phone all day guys. I've been trying to stay on top of it and it's been terrible all day long. It's I think and it's not from Ed's end, it's from other places. So anyway, night vision technology before we go any farther, your number for night vision and on? Hey, that number is 231796. 8-4-5-8 Again, 2-3-1-7-9-6 5-8, we got goggles and gun sights, we got green screens and thermal except the first generation green screen is disappearing We've got a fourth generation gun sight right in your mailbox for $390 Call the guy with the 800 number and you'll be astounded at how much he wants and then you'll call me at 2-3-1-7-9-6 8-4-5-8 You'll realize that, well, $390 saves you almost a phone bill So you'll save more than the cost of the phone call. My number is 23179658. While we're on the subject of night vision, and you've heard it said on the hour before, there's plenty of things out there. You put it in front of somebody and they don't know what they're looking at. I've admitted along with that thought many times, I'm guilty of it myself. Now, I want to tell you that I've Over the years I've mentioned the two mama kiddies that had the big litter between them at the same time outside and how they overwatched the kiddies and everything. I let one of the mama, the one we called mama kiddie out like three weeks ago last night and haven't seen her since. She usually comes in just around dark and she never came in and she gets a little bold sometimes. It comes in just a little after dark but she never came home that night. We haven't seen her since but we've heard a lot of coyotes. coyotes. You shoot the ones farther away when you first open if you've got a guarantee of hitting them. That way you still have other targets after your first shot. That makes sense, doesn't it? Another thing about coyotes, you guys, and now we're talking about real coyotes here for a moment. If you're looking at a band of coyotes, a bunch of coyotes coming in, a pack is the word I was searching there for a moment. You don't want to shoot the big ones. Why? Well, if if and we've talked about this in different venues as of late, but I was mentioning this to a neighbor again You don't want to shoot that they apparently the biggest ones Because if you shoot the alpha female the alpha male will breed with every female The alpha female won't allow that to happen as long as she's around She's she runs that that side of the show you get my drift if she's gone if you shoot the alpha female The alpha male will breed with every willing female and you'll have an explosion of coyotes If you call the herd right, that's one thing to keep in mind if you're shooting coyotes. Now, we've addressed sitting in a window here sometimes waiting for one to walk by or I've sat out in the field. I've got a couple pieces of night vision that don't work anymore just because they've got hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and hours and I could go on for more hours doing that on them. Don sat out in the field one night and he knows he's telling you about night vision now. I do that in Jeff. I saw something the other day. I was sitting here at the south end of the placemark with the 22 in the window and I was just waiting for one of them coyotes to walk by. We shoot one of them little ones and I didn't see that. I would say that the way the lights are arranged outside you guys, I am just to the left, let's say to the east. fall on the outside of that wall there is a porch light. I'm on the south end of that rectangle. When the porch light is on there is a light to my right to the south and west when I'm sitting here using the window as a gun port. Then if there is no moon, well that turns into a hard shadow to the naked eye. I might sit here with a piece of night vision and look into the dark of first generation, sometimes of second generation, and look into the dark. But you don't sit here with the, if you're just hunting coyotes or whatnot, unless you really box up, you don't sit here with the night vision tube just burning. So sometimes something will walk in and actually get past your opportunity to discern. Now, I'm sitting here most of a week ago, and it was about two o'clock in the morning, and you hear nothing out there, just a cricket. There was a little bit of moon. There was a little bit of overcast but there was still a little bit of moon. So I had a pretty good line of sight into what was referred to earlier as the shadow portion. Something came dashing through the light and slowed down as soon as it got into the shadow and I hadn't cut the grass yet. Well, I hadn't cut the grass that week. You know what I mean? You cut the grass a few times throughout the summer. But the grass was getting a little bit tall. I was wondering, what is that? And I thought at first by the time it caught my eye, because I wasn't looking directly there at that instant, by the time it caught my eye, it was almost in the shadows. And it looked like a cat, big white cat. Have you ever seen a cat doing or a dog doing like a low dog crawl? They're trying to move as fast as they can, but they're trying to stay really, really low, as if the cat was using the grass around it for cover. That's what it appeared to be, Mark, but it was longer. It had colors in it that I didn't recognize as my outside, my white and my... He almost looks like Siamese, but he would be an American rag doll or a long hair, American long hair. But he's a real cool cat. There's a cliche. But it almost had colors mixed like that. Then it moved off into the taller grass and I couldn't see it anymore. I wondered what that was. I thought it might be a badger. I thought it might be a number of things. Again, this goes over to, you know, we've addressed this before. You're looking at a two-dimensional image with a piece of night vision and you'll have to discern a little bit more. It's good to study silhouettes and things. It's good to study what your op force and what the friendlies look like. We've addressed this before, but in the, it was longer than an instant, much shorter than a moment. In the short timeframe that I saw that I did not know what it was. I tried to sit here and I even said to Debbie the next morning something went through the field of view there and I didn't know what it was. And over the years I've sat here and Mark we've talked about this on the air. Something that looked like a cat but its body was much too short from its shoulders to its hips came here one night. I don't know what that was and just out of curiosity I didn't want to shoot it just to find out what it was but I let it walk away. Now you guys Maybe you've seen this before, but I've never seen this in my life, in the day or in the night, until yesterday afternoon. Look! And I look through the window and here's Mama Skunk. We have a gunk here in Michigan that's almost white, you guys, with black on the flanks. There are a number of types of skunks. It's not just the one skunk like Petby LePue that everybody knows about. There are different types of skunks scattered across North America. Now this skunk, Mama Kitty, is about half as big as your average household cat. Not the big 12 and 17 pound cats or the 32 pound cats. About half as big as your average tabby cat, you know. And what I saw at night, the other night, Mark, I saw again in the daylight. But I don't know why they were doing it in the daylight. I'm not certain how well skunks night vision is their ability to use their natural vision in real low light. Skunks were like a train. And there were three skunks following her about two-thirds her size, nose to tail, nose to tail. The actual tails of the skunks were wrapping around the bodies of the skunks following them, flowing over or bobbing along for a minute, making the skunk behind look bigger. That's why in the dark I didn't I wasn't certain what that was and I've never seen that before in my life I've never heard tell of that I saw it again yesterday in the daytime and it was just before dark and She was making her way under the shed here probably because it was gonna rain that night and she was taking little skunk family to shelter now that only examples you guys studying What you know studying again what you think, what the heck, what, what? Frank, have you ever seen anything like that before? And even if you have to, passing the piece of night vision to someone else to get a second opinion, this is another reason why we encourage you. If you've got a gun sight and someone else in the field with you, he should probably have a piece of night vision too. We've beat that drum before, haven't we? But sometimes, you know, yeah, my grandpappy told me about that. That's a family of skunks. That's mama's skunk and two or three of her babies. But it might be something completely different. Yeah, my grandpappy told me about that. He saw that in World War I. We got all HE double hockey sticks coming our way unless we go... Wait a minute, wait a minute. Yeah, unless we go that way. Works. Again, you guys, that question, it was addressed in the night vision video. You're looking at a two-dimensional image. Now it's a little black and white television screen if you're getting the new stuff, but it's a little green and white television screen. Many of us grew up with black and white television. You can look at it and it's not like the high definition is today. It almost looks like you can stick your hand in the screen, reach over and pick a glass of wine off the bar or whatever. You know what I mean? You have to pay attention. This comes over to recognition. We've talked about this many times. You know what your enemy will deploy at a glance. That's going to take away a lot of problems of, well, what is that? And is that ours or do we wait? We've even addressed that to the point a couple years ago. We brought you the story of Guido Rossi, the Italian flyer who pictured P-38 and just murdered people in B-17s until he was baited into a trap. The P-38 man, he's on our side, but it had an Italian pilot in it. Those guys on board, those B-17s, the first one that was destroyed by that P-38 flew into the ocean at about 100 miles an hour. The pilot was able to level it out. The ship and just started immediately. Everyone on board died, but for the pilot. 24 hours later, other P-38 pilots, we did everything but pistol with them. They couldn't believe a P-38 shot down a B-17. I couldn't believe it, wouldn't stand for it. That would not happen, put it into history. Again, you guys, sometimes what you're looking at and what is going on are so closely tied together they need to be discerned, they need to be understood if not instantly in the next moment or two, the very latest. Ponder on that, you guys. Let's get back to the friend-foe-shoot-no-shoot issue we've talked about, examples of how to deal with it. you've got a whole bunch of people in Mexico who just got tired of being pushed around by the dope cartels. So they started out arming themselves with whatever, overwhelmed a smaller group, took their weapons, now they've got modern military arms, and more of what they probably had hidden away themselves anyway, and they start going into combat against these cartels. Now I pointed this out in the imagery. I am sure that mistakes were made. because when you're in an irregular force fighting another regular force you may not always be sure of who you're shooting at. That's why we always talked about confirm your target identify your backstop. Just because you shot it at the bad guy doesn't mean one of your friends might not be right behind him. Okay or close by and if you're in the heat of battle or just mistakes made or you forget that your weapons will go through more than one person Yeah, you killed your bad guys dead, dead, dead, but Fred, Hal and Bob who were just beyond them, well you kind of chopped them up a little too and they're going to require maintenance now. So just something to think about, but what they did down there to deal with that is they took the crime scene black and yellow plastic throwaway marker tape. I don't know if it was safety tape for a construction site, I don't care, whatever it is, you can see it. What did they do with it? They tied it to the end of their weapons, right around the sites of their M16s and their AK47s. They tied it also on the sling, and they tied it on the epulets on either side of their shirts or their coats, or they wore them as arm wraps like an arm band. Now why'd they do that? Well, it wasn't readily available for someone to grab off the shelf and go, gee, I'm going to blend in. So before they went into attack in progressive missions, they chose an object, something that was totally unique that could not easily be duplicated. They made it the no-shoot flag. You see how that works? Well, why would they tie it on their gun? Well, think about how many times you've seen where a person is moving muzzle forward. And what's the first thing you see? The front of the weapon. Well, you know, you're nervous enough, you've already been shot at, people are in hyper mode in many, any number of different ways and attitudes. So by being able to quickly confirm that that's a friend, you can refocus. It doesn't mean you don't keep that in your peripheral or you don't confirm. Wergie, is that you? Yeah, see, Manuel, it is me, number four, number four, number four. See, there's always a password you can use, it's quick. And by the way, it's within your own team. It's not for everybody in the same unit because you're not going to typically over integrate into other formations. Everybody's got a job. Everybody stays within a tight group even though they're still tactically spread out. So there's an example of what Don's talking about. By the way, the Germans and the Italians flew a lot of other aircraft that had been captured and put back together from other wrecks. Let's not forget something. Don, they shot a lot of B-17s down during the war, didn't they? Oh yeah. If you look around, you'll see pictures of B-17s both with swastikas on them and rising suns. Enough pieces come down because gravity sucks and if you're patient, you're not worried about all the busted up parts. You can't do anything about them. They're going to go into your scrap metal for your own, your military industry. But you know all those parts that weren't bent, they all get sent to the same place. And if you're patient, After a while with mechanics who already don't know how to work on multi-engine and single fixed-wing aircraft, guess what? It's not long before you have a whole plane. One of the most interesting things about the story that we brought up here is that P-38 pilot had to generate some skill to work the plane. Remember that? Oh yeah, he wasn't trained by Tony Laver. think about it. But the thing is that because their air force had multi-engine fighter pilots the Italians had them, the French had them, the Germans had them, the British had them. They had a basis so he was picked not simply because he was a pilot but obviously he would have stick time and experience on another piece of equipment. This gets back to what I told you about night vision. That first generation night vision piece means that you're going to be a step ahead of a lot of other people who will not have your experience when we start capturing third gen. You see how this works? Everything rolls over into the other subject, guys, but it's an example. That pilot already had some proficiency, probably with multi-engine, you know how to handle and trim and maintain them because there's a lot of work. that goes into a twin-engine aircraft that people don't see. Some people don't make the transition. Yeah, in fact that's why they wash out. There's a reason for it. I can't have you mucking up with my, you know, combat aircraft and having it fall out of the sky. I will find the people who will work with that aircraft. And by the way, I didn't get rid of that pilot. He may go over to something else. But he just, it is not working for him. He can't deal with or there's something that doesn't click with him. That's true of any situation you're in. This is why as management, as NCOs and officers, you have to be ready to manage your personnel. It doesn't mean the person doesn't have a job. He just doesn't fit that job. You put the foot in the shoe that fits. Exactly. And again, there might be, maybe he needs a high heel. Maybe he needs a boot. I hope he doesn't need a high heel. Little white in the loafers, aye, sir? Yeah, I know. Well, he's Point Man this week. What do you mean this week? Trust me, this week. I guess he found that sniper after all. Anyway, the fact of the matter is... He was buried with his high heels on. I remember the old western, he was barred with his boots. No, he barred with his high heels. He was a fighter. Even those heels dug into the mud were kind of tough on the quick run, but hey, what can I say? So as it is guys, again, remember all these lessons learned, learn from the mistakes of others, you won't live long enough to make them all yourself. So we need to be thinking ahead of the curve. The invasion begun, the country's already been hit with about 300,000. Don, I read the numbers for anybody who hasn't seen this. Remember what I said? If there's 50,000 children, which was all BS, Turns out there's 290,000 other illegals that came in with them. That's a far cry from 50,000 guys. Wow. Those must have been the mothers on the buses with the blacked out windows. And all the other people that they don't want to tell you about because you only need to see the children. Because you need compassion. No, no, I'm using common sense and you're not going to use me as a tool. In fact, any leftist that starts that stuff, cuff them side to head and tell me, shut up. I'm tired of their BS. They're all a bunch of liars to begin with and we all know it. So play them the other way. Beat them in the head like a baby seal with a club. That's simple. A verbal club. Abuse them horribly. It's what they deserve. Don, your number for night vision before we go any farther, please. That number is 23179684. 5-8. Very good. God bless the Republic.
