Summary
Mark Koernke and Don Betcher discussed firearms, ammunition, and tactical equipment available through various online retailers, focusing on Fourth of July sales and holiday specials. They reviewed specific products from Sarco, Apex Gun Parts, and other suppliers, including AR-15 components, AK-pattern rifles, night vision systems, and historical military weapons. The show shifted to immigration policy, discussing the arrival of migrant children at the southern border and the president's proposed executive order to grant military service members who entered illegally a path to citizenship. They emphasized border security concerns and criticized the administration's approach to immigration reform.

VIP membership is radio with benefits. Oh yeah! Your favorite music from around the world are right at your fingertips. Exclusive content, unlimited commercial free access. Try it risk-free. That's free for five days at live365.com slash VIP. Live 365. I went to live 365 and then I tuned in to Liberty Tree Radio. In fact, I found there are other places like PBN.4m3.com. I'm really worried about this! I'm really worried about this because I... Oh, I know Tom. Tom, look at that one over there. The one tentacle says Neocon and the other tentacle says Liberal and they're wrapped right around that wall. Isn't it? It's hideous, I know Tom. But after a while you get used to it. I've been wearing these glasses for a long time and you can see everything now. You notice, look at these other people. It's almost like they're in a suit. They're definitely not Rose Van Clegg. Oh, but Tom, Tom, once you put the glasses on and now that you know, you can never go back to sleep. I know. Okay, Tom. I'll tell you what. When we go home, I want you to get out of the computer, and I want you to go to Live 365, punch in Liberty Tree Radio, then you can go, or you can go to libertytreeradio.4mg.com, or you can go to pbn.4mg.com, but you know what, Tom? Like I said, calm down, start to get focused. Oh, the closet monster left! Oh yes, in fact, look at that one over there. Oh man, that guy looks like death warmed over, doesn't he? His eyes are starting to roll back. If you take the glasses off for a second, Tom, you notice something? He looked perfectly normal. Put the glasses on and keep them on because you never know what's coming up behind you. Let me check. Oh my god Okay, you're safe now Tom we gotta get out of here, let's go I had a dream the other night that, well, I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat. And speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You've vied permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise! Take a stand! Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land! Preserve our great Republic in each God-given right! And pray to God to keep the torture freedom burning bright! As Iooke vanished, and I asked for whence he came. His words were true. We are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample, each God given right, we only watch and tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Is this still the land of the free? And good evening, ladies and gentlemen. This is the evening intelligence report. I'm Mark Harnkey. And I'm Don Betcher. One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters, both on and behind the lines in occupied territories, central, west, east, and south. Ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to us on... liberty tree radio dot four m g dot com run indian freedom talk radio dot com running with a micro station cv base stations and ultra net technologies east and west of the mississippi along with alaska well homework network from the top of main to the bottom of florida from the bottom of florida cross the ark of the gulf of mexico headed louisiana mississippi texas oklahoma big chunk of the basket Whole bunch of Wyoming to include both the 3rd, 5th, Pitt and our friends in the recall state of Colorado, waiting the left coast, great state of Jefferson. Going to be a little cooler tonight. Don, what's life up in your neck of the woods and what's this date today? Well, it is the second day of July, year of our Lord 2014, my whole time flies. But again, second day of July 2014 and it did get a little chilly if you're camping out for the 4th of July weekend and you've already started your work for the evening, didn't you? At any rate, or you're sitting a little closer to the fire, one or the other. But hey, the second day of July 2014. What's going on in the neighborhood? Well, you know, we tell you to buy guns. It's a weapons Wednesday. I should do this like this because we're just going to introduce the magazine into the chamber and touch the slide releasing men. We got one in the chamber now. Introduce the magazine. Well, watch the slide release. And now we've got one in the chamber and we can tell everybody it is weapons Wednesday. The perimeter is secure and there's plenty more where that came from. And that means we can offer equal opportunity coercive force. Well, it has been a beautiful day here so far. I've got a few things done outside, not as much as I wanted, but I've got a few things done outside. Still didn't get the little backup beans in the ground that I was going to, but I'm going to do that maybe tonight here before I lose the light while the mosquitoes can't quite carry me away. We'll see how that works. Hopefully not. And we have a caller, who do we have? This is Georgia Patriots. What do you got going on? Jump in there, caller. I was just on one of our favorite websites, eTarco.com, for those who want the bill. They have their receivers from $59. It's $100. Is this part of the holiday special? Roger that. Interesting. OK, I'm looking at the site to see what they've got. FAL Paratrooper, Stenag Scopes with mounts, red, green, and red and green dots. British FAL-L1A1 Sniper Cheat Pad, that's kind of cool. 1917 water-cooled rear sight leaf, well only $500. If you have a 1917 air-cooled machine gun, you'll be doing fine. Go ahead, repeat that. I know there's a few out there, but anyway. Very good. And that should be, let's see, firearms or receivers for the weekend, or let's see what they have here. Boo and it's sale our lowers can't get any lower there we go and $59 for a an LRB $129 for the sporter 15 and then an upper and lower set matched upper and lower for $129. Again, that's an A3 upper with a standard AR-15, apparently, Sarco manufactured lower, Sarco of Pennsylvania. Wait a minute. No, these are at IO, Inc. Okay, IO, Inc. is who it is. There we go. So again, those are the three options, $59 for the LRB Arms Strip Lower Receiver. These are finished, not 80% of these are finished top to bottom so they do require an FFL. But $129 for the... Actually, why would I buy just the lower... Okay, it's a billet. Well, that's true. The other one's probably forged. $129 for the stripped billet lower receiver and then $129 for the infusions, you know, the stamp set top and bottom. I'd just go for $129 at the top and bottom and be done with it that way. if you're going to be building from scratch. One of the considerations there is there are a lot of AR-15 M16 part kits out there right now with everything except the barrel and by the way if you need that the barrels are available out there at Apex Gun Parts. So that is another solution. I don't know if you noticed on the front page though something that caught my eye right away for everybody looking at Sarco. Hexagon, 45 caliber barrel blanks, $74.95 apiece. So if you're looking for a 45 caliber barrel, this is a solution. We have just found a small lot of new hexagon, 45 caliber barrel blanks, .940 diameter, 26 and a half inch long, six groove rifling, no sight cuts, unchambered, new 45 caliber hex. Haven't seen these on the market, less than 50 pieces available and $74.95 a piece. So there's another barrel for somebody who's looking for a project barrel. A lot of people are in 45 ACP. Oh, I'm sorry, it's not even chambered. So it's not anything yet, except for a 45 caliber diameter for the bore. Roger that. So that would be a good choice there too. Go ahead, anything else? Look in the parts set. They even have the 1919A4 and 308. Oh, I did see those, yes. Pricey, they aren't $125 anymore, guys. Remember we told everybody to buy those years ago? Well, $1,189 for one set. I think we should have bought the other nine while we had our chance. Well, hey guys. It's still worth the money if you had the money as a pair. Oh no, you can't build it for that. Bottom line, you can't build any of the primary parts for that if you had to have a machinist go to town on it. So that's the bottom line to the parts issue there. They also have an AR-15 kit with an A3 upper for $4.95. I've also noticed that they've got these BM-59s in for $595. These are parts kit rifles. Those are a bastard slash an orphan magazine, but there are some companies that have the BM-59 mags out there. So contrary to what you might think, they actually are available. That's the strange thing. The BM-59, because nobody had the rifles, nobody's really gone crazy with the mag prices. They've stayed pretty well where they were for the last 25 years or so. Haven't gone up, haven't gone down, but they've always been pricey. Now you have a complete BM59 kit for $595 and anybody who has done grands before they can throw that BM59 together so fast to make your head swim. I can do it on the plate. Yeah, see that's one of the things about these. So that's a complete gun. Anyway, anything else? Yeah, they also have M14 receivers. They got cut ones too. You're talking about the cut receivers or you're talking about the hole receivers? The hole receivers. Yeah, they've got those new and those are a lot more expensive but they also have front and rear cuts. $725. You're supposed to say only. That way people might think about, wow that's... Only. Yeah, only. Ooh, that hurt. Actually the parts front and rear are not matching necessarily, but to do a receiver, welder receiver, and M1A receiver together, it's a lot cheaper at about $40, $50 or so, right around there for the double, you know, the two parts. So that might be a better choice and somebody with a little more machine shop skill could be very patient and put a nice M1A back together without too much of any trouble. They do also have a bunch of Car-15 kits. There's a mix of AR. They've got some Sten kits back in, but they're now 500. Whoa, wait a minute. Let me check this out. Hold on. Oh, OK. Well, yeah, I guess it's not bad. Oh, no, they're out of stock already again. They just posted these again and they're gone. They had the Mark II, the Mark V, and I think the Mark VII. No, Mark III, no, it'd be the Mark II, Mark III. Don't even list them here, hold on. No, it is right there. Mark II, Mark III, and Mark V. There we go. Because the II is the clamshell type construction. So there are a number of other kits available, but you have to take a look and see what they've got on the shelf. Yeah, all those kits I bought and I sold them for $100 a piece. I made out like a band of Bastille. I wish I had a hell of a... Exactly. Otherwise, Sarco does have some front page sales going on. I want to take a look and see if it's something that's useful for you guys. Hellwig 87A Pancake Holster for the Browning Model 1910. Actually, it's the 1910-1922 Long Barrel. for $20. The Browning was those little Browning model 1922s, that's what that actually is if it's a long slide, were being used by the Belgian police for a period of time and they brought them back into the country. Browning did back in 1978 with a match site on them so they could get them through customs, get them through the restrictions of importation. Otherwise, a pretty decent little pistol in its remanufactured or next wave which now is 40 years ago, 30 years ago, whatever, 30 some years ago, 40 years ago. It was no change. The exact same weapon, so spare parts, barrels, everything was interchangeable. Anyway, I think I want to, I want to touch on a few things here real quick. Oh, yeah. What I'm talking about is like a RPD. M72 laws. No, M272, it's got a parts data, looks like RPTK. On the front part, on the front page. The barrel set up, though, wouldn't matter really. It's under the... Oh, okay. M72. No, no, no, no. That's... Oh, no. That might be a Yugo there. If the 72, that could be a Yugo. Sorry about that. Yeah, that's probably... That's a Yugo. It's got the flat stock, straight stock. Yeah, that's a Yugo RPK, is what it is. Looks like. $249. Unfortunately, the barrels cut, that's what would have made it worth it, would be the barrel, but barrels chopped. However, barrels for those are available through apexgunparts.com. Okay, well that is another option. Of course all the parts off the one can be slid over onto the old barrel because everything you need is on the inventory there. Okay, and that's a 7.62x39? Yeah, that's a... yep, it should be. 7.62x39 is an RPK. It's not an SPD or one of their 8mm knockoff SPDs. Okay, the magazine should be the same. Yeah, well yeah, the magazines all be the same. These are standard. I just don't see anything. The problem is they cut the barrel and that's the bugger. But it is the ribbed barrel and I'm pretty sure, I don't know how many to have left or if they've already sold out, but Apex Gun Parts had that barrel in good condition for about $50 or so, $60, right around there. Maybe I don't sail this weekend. I mean, let's see what Apex has and the way of sail is going on too, which is nothing we need to remember. So, if I need to check the dot Apex Gun Parts, dot com i was going to bring it up earlier you know the we did do it for members of the everybody should have fourth of july sales going on guys and i don't feel state start today or tomorrow a lot of people are doing the forty weekend things so a lot of places are you know already folded up shop for the weekend and they're offering who hope yes good thing you force me to do this all is a fourth of july sale item right here are guys for those you couldn't afford a 26.5mm flare gun before. Well, they've got them for the Polish flare guns for $39 apiece. And that's about as good a price as we're going to get anywhere right now. So you want to get that right. It looks just like my check too. So again, that's on the front page as part of the sale item. Uh oh, they have something else here. Oh, whoa, okay, yep. See, there are some, I haven't gone through them because five o'clock is usually when they start this stuff, guys. Look at that barrel. Oh, they do have the barrels. They got the air 15 barrels and knockoffs, but they've got something else here. It's a five for ten dollar sale. Okay, mix and match, grab bag of five various pouches. The first five pouches we grab. Pouches will all vary in appearance, condition, usage, and age. No hand selects. These are very well used pouches. Sold as is, no returns in stock. Well, looks like they've got the flare gun pouches. Of course, they do have the HK91 mag pouches, and those are kind of a drug on the market, so that could be, those are where you're going to get your, you know, you're going to lose to a degree, not a lot. But they're offering, as part of the grab pouch thing, they've got the drum mag pouches, AK and CZ57 pouches. and they're offering all four of the flare gun pouch variants for that very flare gun we're talking about. So for $10 if you got one of those, since it's supposed to be a mix, if you got one of the flare gun pouches, it's worth the purchase of the other four no matter what they are. And it looks like that's how they're doing it. So just something that's on the holiday special for this weekend. That is at apexgunparts.com. Apex Gun Parts dot com. What's really funny is that that ad for that is not on the front page. So if I don't tell you about that, you'd have to search around to see what else they have for Fourth of July. Oh, here we go. Fourth of July sales. Well, they did list it separate. Okay, let's see what we have here. There might be something useful for you guys listening. Okay, we've got 10 AK-47 steel magazines, 10 for $89.95. are offering the Archangel Moisin Negat stock sets. Now guys, these are the stock sets. Don, you remember we talked about these. It has the built-in 10 round magazine detachable. It's actually, this is a very sophisticated stock system they've built for a number. They're offering the black, the green, and the tan. I'm just looking real quick, because any time, the guys might want to check this out, go look to see what they have. They have about 108 items that are on the knockdown, the special price. Our holiday 4th of July special. Some of them, not so great. Others, well better than others so you might want to check to see what they have available. I would point out they do have and have been carrying the HK33, HK93, C93 mags factory. Now they're not cheap, they're about where they were, although $49 a piece is lower than the $70 they've been going for. Oh my god. Anyway, $49 a piece of HK, we hate you, and we'll charge you everything we can. And they do. And the thing is, it's an .223 rifle, remember that. So it's like, let's see, AR-15 mags for $8 all day. But if it's an HK magazine, it's got to be $50. We'll talk about those pig sours in a minute. Yeah. Okay, it is in the holiday sale section. If you go through, I believe, forgive me, I'll get away from this for a minute. We've got Don to cover several items. Don, what I was going to say is, I know you have a night vision system for that M72. Oh, we can work on that. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It will. Yeah, it would take a side rail. You just use a standard side rail. And you know, I deal with anybody else better friends. Exactly. Um, other than that, guys, I would recommend going through this page by page. There are three pages at least. There's a lot of AK items that are up for a reasonable price. A lot of the VZ 58 stuff. Ugo barrels, like we were just talking about, $60. U.S. made. There you go. And they've also got a lot of the kits, but that kit price with Sarco actually was, I think, a little better price. Oh, well, they've got the M72B1 RPK kits for $214.79 there. So that's a pretty good price. That's reasonable. With used barrel, in fact, they're offering it with used barrel for $285. Remember I said they have the barrel available. They're showing I was correct they do So you can buy the barrel separate or you buy the kit the kit with the used a barrel and go that way now Repeat then you can go with no back receiver Right. There's a couple different ways on the receivers I've been trying to see if anybody still has the Polish 80 percenters out there still if they do that would be a good option that would be a solution away to go and at A Builder dot com. you'll probably get at least one of what you need which is a carrying holster for the flare gun. It has rings or a storage shelf on the outside with a big over flap. One looks like a Walter P-38 holster on steroids. The others are Satchel like map case. They're actually quite deceptive. We wouldn't know what you're carrying right away. Not until you pull it out and go pop. So either of those are a good choice and for $39 that's $20 cheaper than the cheapest ones been going for. So you got a good buy, that's the best buy I saw on the page and again that's ApexGunParts.com. I don't know if they're open tomorrow, I haven't looked at their criteria here for the holiday weekend but it's on the front page upper right hand corner it is the 4th of July special Polish player gun Soviet era $39. and then the rest of the goodies are up there to be put you know again the pouches are in the right at the top on the left hand side it says 4th of July sales there are 108 items in that 108 items is where the five pouches mix type for $10 now the other pouches may be worth less but any one of those flare launcher pouches are flare pistol pouches are worth the $10 So you're getting four pouches that you may or may not want to use for your personal use but for that flare gun you just picked up you'll get at least one if not maybe two. So it'll be cool you get to pick which one you like more and you're still not spending that much money because you got two. Anyway, I don't know if this is a good deal but they have these Romanian RPK crushed receivers that could take something like that and You open them up and build a mandrel for those that will actually fit inside to the original dimensions you make it out of steel and Then you reform everything by carefully tin knocking everything back to where it belongs And they got for $15 for the question. Yeah, if you buy a quantity at a time if you notice there is a Offer there if you go into the body, they in fact I think they even have it in the sale item here, hold on, the 4th of July sales. There is, if you buy a quantity of them, you get them for almost nothing. And you get to kind of pick and choose what you want out of the $10 and $12, in fact here we go, 4th of July sale, 10 demilled receivers for $50. Now it's on the special section, but the way that works, is the July, 4th of July specials. It's the first page, a little under, I think, halfway down. And if you go to the demilled receiver or the cut receiver slash cut component section, you're allowed to mix the receivers. So you don't have to get all the same model receiver. Which wouldn't be bad if you want to proceed with a certain model and only a certain model, but if you want to experiment, they have the receivers in several different patterns. And anything that's in about the $15 mark, whatever, is on the list of that, you know, pick out 10. So you can get one of these, two of those, one of these, three of those, four of them until you fill up the 10, which is kind of cool. So again, that is an option. Let's see, I was looking to see if I could find another listing. In fact, it was here. Let's see, Collectibles, Carcano, Flair Pistols, of course, we've talked about those. And they do have the receivers listed. Let's see, RPD, Remington, PWS, Parts, Kits. Anyway, I'll find it. Or if you look long enough, you'll find that there's a listing for the demilitarized receivers. Within that listing there are several different models that qualify for that 10-4. So you're looking at 10 distorted receivers for $50. At the very least it gives you dimensions. That's one of the reasons some people would be interested in these because you have all of these specs for the regular AK without any entanglements. And that means you don't have to work. You don't have to guess. you know exactly what the dimensions are. And if you have five or six or ten of the same one, even if they're all squozed in different ways, each one will offer part of the dimension that you need. So $50 worth of first-hand model prints are worth that, they're worth $50. Okay, that's how it works for a guy who's looking at trying to confirm rather than just counting on a manual which may not be properly printed or intentionally defective. If you have to, you can use a gremel and cut it right there at the corners. No, I wouldn't do that. No, no, no, no, no. What I would do is very carefully open those up and just be patient. It's like any other little project. You're not in a hurry and if you are very careful, I guarantee you could open those stamped sheet metal ones up just like a clam. Just be very patient. Don't do anything to change them. Don't have to distort anything. They've already been distorted enough. You could cut them if you need for a pattern blank, but the thing is for a complete item, $5 apiece. Personal choice. Anyway, we've got other things we've got to touch on here. Don, first of all, Night Vision technology, you have it. What do you have available? We have a change now because we kind of cleaned out one of the inventory items, didn't we? Yes, we did we Made zero the count on that 350 the two power first-generation gun sight we're working on the pile of four powers now that an individual cost prior to Dealing if we did you guys an individual cost on that was $47 more for me. It's $15 now so to get the fifth is only $15 more. I wish I'd have known that when I offered the 2-power for the people who wanted the 4-power, but sometimes we get, you know, it's human inertia, it's fixation, it's whatever. We've addressed target fixation, but that 4-power first generation gun sight, .308 capable, it'll live on top of your M1, it'll thumbs go down onto your Weaver or your Picatinny. I'll put it in your mailbox for $390. The manufacturer wants a whole lot more than that, like $60 more than that, and then they're going to get delivery too. So, you know, again, I've told you before, call the guy with the 800 number and then call me. You probably won't call him back. We've got a second generation gun sight, same parameters, three rather weavers, seven eighths, a one inch rail, it'll thumb screw right down onto that. Two power, right in your mailbox. Again, 308 capable, $1,248. around. I know you'll see this and that and you'll see some stuff in almost to $1000. This is a second generation tube. It'll live on top of your M1. FNFAL, your AR10 box. Write your mailbox. Pardon me? Your Barrett 338? Now we're stretching it. I haven't talked to the manufacturer about the 338. He says don't put it on top of your 50. I'll clarify that before the well we're getting kind of skinny on the week and the holidays coming up but I'll have that information for you soon okay? Well I'll do that on purpose. We're certain it'll live on top of your 308. Yeah see the thing is? It's true. Why deal with them when you call and he'll do? Thank you. All that number is 231-7958. Again, goggles are gun sights, green screens are thermal. You'll hear the number at the top of the hour, but one more time. It's two, three, one, seven, nine, six, five, eight. I would mention we've got a pile of first generation green screens at three power of viewer. If you've got a gun sight, this would be a good compliment for it in a little bit more magnification and equal capability. If you know what your gun sight will do, this will allow you to build a team and look in another direction. $205 right in your mailbox. A green screen viewer. I thought I'd mention that. Just back up. About a goggle. Oh, just a monocular. A hand held, a single tube. One eye. Yeah. It's again, you could take the tube out of that and put it if you knew what you were doing and put it in your gun sight or the gun sight into that. So I do that for the capability. If you've got that first information gun sight, this would be a good match for it in an entry level. We can talk about thermal. You guys, we've done this before. My number is 2317968458. While we're talking about guns and prices and whatnot, you guys, I was standing in the, believe it or not, the local WALL-E world, you know, the great Chinese Walmart there the other day, and I thought I'd walk over there, and you know, out here in the country. I did mention Hillbillies earlier today and I qualify under that. I didn't hope I didn't offend anybody. I was talking to a friend of mine the other day and I was telling him I bought a dulcimer. He says, very near Hillbilly now and I call him a flat lender immediately. But out here in the country, you get a lot of, oh, I'm learning that I'm trying. It's ancient. That's one of the things that impresses me about it. Stir the harp and before the piano or harpsichord is its lineage. I'm standing there looking around in the Walmart and I walk over there and into the gun area. They sell guns here in the country at Walmart. We did mention that Sig Sauer earlier. Sig Sauer you guys build something side by side looks just like that. It could be the M16 Saturn type built under contract. They call it the 1400 in 556. standard round for the M16. It's coming with a scope too, right there from Walmart for $949. I don't know how many mags it's going to have Mark, but I'm certain if you want to get more mags they're going to be perhaps a little more expensive. I don't think Sig would go right down to the pattern and use that ArmaLite style mag. But externally the gun looks the same. I don't know how different it is or might be internally. But you could walk out of the door and you'll have to pay taxes too. Granted, these are retail prices, but for $949 if you want to fill out all the paperwork, jump through all the hoops and carry one away right out of your local Wal-Mart. There it is. Big Rapids. Now I'm certain you probably won't find that right there in the Detroit Wal-Mart. Moving down a little bit, you guys, we could talk about that Remington. Remember Remington 700s? Oh yeah, the Marine Corps. the army did, a whole bunch of people did, and you know, like you said, Mark Slade, more deer than, well, the other guns. But, you know, then you got that 770, the gun that the 700 is, but it's still a pretty good gun from Remington, that 770, right there in the same gun rack there at Wal-Mart's with a scope. It might have been like a 3x9. I didn't look right down at it, but you could have walked out the door after. You know, you'd have to pay the taxes above and beyond $307 you guys. And that's in .308. That's why I mentioned it. It's in .308. .308 with a scope, say, Remington, for $307 and then you're going to have to pay that 6% Michigan sales tax. Down here. Well, that ain't a bad price for a .308 bolt gun these days, you guys. We talked a few weeks ago, in fact, that the same auction where maybe a month or five weeks ago we talked about, man, you should have seen them guns going for outrageous prices that they're at that auction. That's where I picked up that dulcimer. Now, back to other things, and this here starts with DPMS. I did that with a D because we'll change the subject ever so slightly from the dulcimer to the DPMS. They built a pattern gun, too, an M16 pattern type, calling it the AR-15 pattern type. They even have that in a 3.0. Oh yeah, but this one is .308 and they want $643 for it. .308? In the .308, right there at Walmart. I kid you not. Sweet. That DPMS, that ain't a bad contract gun. You know, it runs right up there with some others like Bushmaster, Olympia, probably, you know, a lot of people think better that DPMS than they do Olympia. And I'm not trying to beat up Olympia. Don't get me wrong. It doesn't have the four to six. There you go. Now, $643 plus that Michigan sale, and it's coming with a reflex style, like an Aimpoint, a Trigicon or something. I didn't catch the brand name, but $643 plus that Michigan tax. You can carry it out of the door of your Walmarts. We reference back over to a Bushmaster in 556, you know, Bushmaster, and again, right up there with DPMS or DPS, right up there with Bushmaster. ought nine hundred ninety seven dollars and that was kind of astounding to me you guys that nine hundred ninety seven dollars for the bush master and again there's probably some advantages and disadvantage to that big sour fourteen hundred which appeared to me to be exactly like an m sixteen pattern type you know a r fifteen gun you guys i'm not certain mark is there much difference in that gone or is it a is it a contract on their what that six-hour fourteen hundred for only $949. And it's American. Yeah. One of the other things, I think the number is at least 5 million of the Model 700s have been built. I'm thinking that's the number I just heard rattled off here a little bit ago and that number may be actually behind by maybe half a million. I don't know for sure. If the figure of three quarters of them are still around here. At least. Plus it God knows how many were custom built separate because a lot of people bought just the receivers and there's guys that come north. We've got a militia unit. uh... you might recall we what he was doing is actually uh... he set up uh... yet again gunsmith is set up a class in the uh... community college and they graduated thirty to forty people at a time and they were doing k ninety eight monsters and uh... model seven hundreds they were just buying the receivers they were buying all rifles they were building a rifles up from scratch so god knows how many weapons because once they were taught these guys went to town we had to look them forty two Oh, any of the, all the Remington designs are stable. Everything that they've got in their pump, their semi, and in their bolt guns are all more than serviceable enough. What do you think of one that was built in 1960? Well, pre-64. The cutoff date for 64 is because for both Remington and Flinchchester, they started to move towards more stampings, which was away from the traditional armory process for private arms. The government had already gone that way back in World War II. In fact, even in World War I, they were already headed that way. But World War II, it became very dominant, whereas In the civilian sector machining over stamping or over-reforging was the norm. Billet production was the norm. And that's what they wanted, that's what they stuck with. But 64 was the big cutoff year because of changes in machinery and technology as much as anything. It's three and a quarter a good price for that, no sight. Oh yeah, that's a good, yeah, that's a reasonable price. Yeah, actually today, pump or semis in any kind of the Remington's looking at four to five hundred dollars easily I mean for the basic rifle and look but it's it's a me I you know it make it good you know in both cases the two things you need to be careful of if it's a slide you want to inspect the front operating area where the slide finally rest in station with regard to its mechanical contact to the bolt with the gas gun with all Remingtons. I don't know what it is about them but they later modeled Remingtons. They overcame this but Remington just could not come up with a way to deal with the gas system adjoining mechanism. The tit slash the thrust bolt. Well, I should say the receiver or acceptor of energy, no matter what variation they came up with, they came up with overlapping cups, they came up with conical, there's all kinds of stuff as opposed to just a conventional op rod. And it didn't help when people didn't clean them. And most commonly that's where you'll find the gun is damaged because they took it out, even if they didn't shoot it. Typically what happens is moisture underneath the stock It gets into the gas system, that's why I was saying with the bolt version, what you want to do is watch the fascia contact area where the slide is affixed to the bolt because those are two separate systems and it's coming again from the external world to the internal world. Because of that, that's where moisture collects. So those are the areas you want to inspect. You want to look at the fascia on the bolt. You want to make sure that the join point, you know, the connector point where the drive rods are attached with the semi-auto, you want to check the gas system specifically. The tappet, the diverter, the gas diverter, and make sure it's clean, make sure it's crisp. It doesn't have to be super crisp, but nice sharp means it's been with very little use. And most civilian weapons aren't used as heavily as military arms to begin with, so it's not likely you're going to see a whole lot of wear and tear in the gas system. But what typically happens is like, you know, as we just said, maintenance, failure to lubricate. Lubrication, if it's a machine piece of metal and it's face on face surfaced, it's bare metal. Eventually that surface is not going to last, whatever they finish with is not going to last very long if it ever existed. In most cases where you have operating gas components, you'll notice they are raw metal. Well, that raw metal needs to be lubricated. And if it isn't, well, oxidation begins and natural process of entropy and eventually it welds itself to the other part. And that's cost a lot of Remingtons in the earlier gas guns from the 50s to have to have about 60, $70 worth of parts replaced. Probably more now because I haven't priced those parts in a while, but I'll tell you it was $54 for the gas block and I was amazed that Remington had them and then I talked to the people who had the Remington parts and they said, well, let's just say we sell a lot of these. It's like, oh really? Yeah, that's why they made so many. Now the earlier 50s gas guns, Remington. And just it was a problem that they realized and they had to honor their warranties and they knew they were going to have to do maintenance so they cranked out a lot of parts. Amazingly enough, those earlier guns can still easily be maintained. Now the later Remingtons, both in the gas, the pump, and even the bolt, all those things were worked out. They were worked into the next generation of engineering design and pretty much were flawless. It's like the 870 and the 1100. I don't care what other changes have been made to shotguns, guys. The 870 and the 1100 are the, you know, the 870's the most reliable pump gun on the planet. But departments still felt they had to change from the Model 870 to buy the latest popcorn or ice cream cone of the day. And so we got the benefit of a whole pile of 870s back, remember, in the 90s being shoveled out the door for no reason. and it's still best pump shotgun really on the market of the uh... i know people who do is and i say that people say the mothsburg rather than the city of the cut guys i've got all of those and i still at the eight seventy is just it's just rude it's just trouble free uh... and the of the of the three the most likely to probably the mothsburg not because of about a mothsburg we got hundreds of purchased i mean over the years i think i probably had half a Probably close to 500 Mosbergs one time or another and they're out here in the militia hands somewhere, you know, and they're functioning. They're not being thrown away. They're not, you know, they haven't turned to dust, but the 870 and the 1100, just like the rest of their family of weapons, the 60s series of weapons were perfected. It's the only way to describe it. They were perfected. And then we stepped away from them. What the hell was that all about? Anyway, go ahead Don, you had more. Jump in there please. It is a weapons Wednesday and I got a little bit ahead of myself at the beginning of the hour before the hardware and all of that talking about why do we buy guns? Why do we buy guns? Well, we've got a couple of good reasons, you know, how about that defense of the nation? How about that personal defense? Not to change a subject, we're going to run along with that same thought line, but you know, they're actually, Americans are actually stopping buses on the roads and turning them back. Have you seen the busloads of children turned out of the small community there and mothers and children it is now turned out of the community in California because well, you know, when the Department of Immigration catches up a whole bunch of people like that, they kind of round them up and then they try to figure out who they are and then they take them someplace and they turn them out on the streets. They don't take them out. well the small community saying it cannot absorb those six or eight hundred people that they expect to be released into their job on them now they don't actually turn the buses back and the buses took those people someplace else they took a nice san diego holding facility down don't forget we'll see a little bit of human compassion there and they'll have a roof over their head for a little while Now, you have to understand that these were children when they came here. Where did their mothers come from? Because all of a sudden, these children have their mothers with them on board these buses. That's to be noted. We're going to carry this thought line. They came here illegally, didn't they? The president, the guy in the office there, that Kenyan, says that we have to, here's that word again, be humanitarian about this, and we have to alter our immigration laws. He's putting a band-aid on a gaping wound that could use numerous internal stitches and then a number along what one might call the skin, the edge, the frontier, the border in order to close the wound. That's a pretty good analogy right there. Don's patting himself on the back for that previous few sentences. Thank you. This gets deeper. This cut goes to the bone, you guys. Listen to this. rather fearless leader, minus the toothbrush mustache, is preparing you guys to sign an executive order to allow, listen to this, illegals who have gained entrance into the military, American citizenship. Are you sitting down and did you hear that? You did hear that rightly. The Kenyan from Africa, the foreigner, is going to legitimize foreigners in our military immediately overnight. There are so many different ways to address this problem because I would suggest right off the bat that these people need to be flushed out of the military. Why? Well, they were probably brought in by a crooked recruiter or a stupid recruiter, someone so stupid he was allowed to be deceived. Now, you have to look at every once in a while if someone makes a mistake. Any recruiter that brought in more than 1% of an illegal through all of his time being paid because you get paid pretty good to be a recruiter. He was proud of ours to be. They need to be demoted. They are saying we were only following instructions. The people who gave them these instructions need to be demoted. Most immediately, the foreigners who gained access to our military illegally under subterfuge need to be removed from the military. This guy in the White House doesn't see it like that at all. We need to give them citizens. Why? Because they have served our government. Now you don't know how they have served. government, not even being American citizens. That's the point. They need to be removed from any post, any rank. They need to be moved back across the border that they tell you they came from. Oh well, I'm illegal here. I want to apply for American citizenship. Where did you come from? Mexico. Go back there. You lied to get into the military. The recruiter probably lied to up his numbers and get a bigger bonus. Can you say bonus? Can you say Veterans Administration? A whole bunch of bonuses need to be removed from people. Promotions, sometimes even retirements. But these people need to be removed from the military. Much in the same way the President, I mean fearless leader minus the toothbrush mustache, says we need to address the problem of these children and change our immigration laws. We need the border to stop that problem. If we had closed the border, we wouldn't have foreigners in our military pretending to be American citizens. Well, what's the heck with that President trying to pretend he's an American citizen? Hey, Mark, I got the niece on the line here. And I think Denise, are you there? She's trying to give you an update on boots on the ground down on the borders and shut our border down. Denise? OK, go ahead. I'll tell you what, we only got a few minutes. Jump in there. Go ahead. We got Denise with us. I know. She's trying to get her. Denise, go ahead and hit star six. Star six to unmute. Yeah, I don't think she's on this line. I think she's confused a little bit. I'm trying to get her hooked up with you. I do know we're going to be doing a live streaming of the meeting with Leo's down at the ranch where we're set up down there. I can throw that out to you. Dang. Denise. Star six. And we'll be out now. Let me see if I can get to work. Go ahead. I'm going to try to text him. Go ahead. Go ahead. This will be Donald and Laredo, correct? Correct. They're actually from San Antonio. In the area, right. That'll be again. Right. Border area operations. So for everybody out there, I know this is coming up. And I'm not certain if it's going to be on the fence to make sure I'm going to walk her through this in the morning, honey, because it's your last call when I'm done, right? Well, go ahead. If we can get her up here real quick, we've got a few more minutes. We own the network. So if we've got a report from the border, then... Hey, Dad, actually, I've got to step away, so I've got to start to bump you down. Okay, well we're at the top then. I'll tell you what, tomorrow, give us a call. Remember, in the morning and in the afternoon, okay? I'm gonna. She tried this morning. I don't think she's dialing through to the right number or something here. That happens? That's okay. Just have her squared away. Make sure she has a separate long sheet and a card with the numbers that are specific. Actually, yeah, I've got to set her up for the whole page out here. And y'all can go to... I'm sorry, I wasn't prepared to do this. Operations, secure our border, dash, O-P-S-O-V media page and keep up with everything that's going on down there. For instance, every time I give my human his ball, he throws it as far as he can. And I'm like, dude, that's your ball. So I go get it. But he just throws it. Again! I gotta say though, the more he does it, the funnier it is. I love my human. Jill, why don't you tell the class what you did this weekend? Well, my dad and I went in search of some magical minnows and found a zillion of them in the stream from our lookout rock! Then my sister and I escaped from an evil slug king and went back to my super twig fort for safety. Then we told stories till it got dark and the big dimper led us all the way home!
