Summary
Mark Koernke discussed low-tech communications and surveillance technologies for border security and emergency preparedness, including CB radios, wireless cameras, RC drones, and DIY solutions using salvaged equipment. He emphasized the importance of alternative communications infrastructure independent of cell phone systems, detailed how to repurpose old cordless phones and handheld radios as transceivers, and provided practical advice on battery maintenance and equipment storage. The show also covered micro-broadcasting equipment, signal generators for local television stations, and criticized media coverage of the Pacific garbage patch as lacking substantive imagery.

a day where every paycheck is a fortune get me I.I. to home where every meal is a banquet where your instincts will serve you better than your government the micro effect live.com the micro effect a worldwide broadcast on the internet and on KU band satellites tell start five transponder five the micro effect live.com A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his... His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, said, we fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. Tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost. You're no more than a slave. The land of the free, the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught. According to this, about the current use in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken us. You've given government control to those who do so they could burn down churches and feed farms and keep our country deep in debt. Putting men of God in jail, To rash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters, this is send artillery and guns to foreign shores. And send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? In the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great republic and each god given right. I won't keep vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true. We are free, but we have ourselves, or even now as tyrants trampled each god given right. We only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. He stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep. What would be your answer? He called out from the grave. 35W, 35W, soon actually goes more than a W to begin with. Again, it's out of things. That the 05B 0.5W transmitter for $70. Gee, I can go a bigger trans plus money. I probably would do that, wouldn't I? 2W to 15W stereo audio transmitter, $11.51. There's one that's a mobile transmitter. Use a price, if you want to spend, have again in the pocket. begin with the work with guys how that work so wireless sequel remember what i said here's one of the things about the step forward now into uh... you know the modern technology one person sitting on the border with thousands of people securing the border with this are wireless camera technology literally one person could watch of my own but we can do better than that one of the minute man deployment took place They had individuals spread out so they were within eye shot of each other easily. But imagine this, you can add to the depth of security by adding the camera technology so you can be monitoring more than one site from a location. You could even have depth. The camera technology up on a PVC or a rigid iron pole pointed towards the border and be looking beyond the... You don't want to wait until they get to the fence. You'd be able to call the Veteran Homeland Security to come and respond to a particular situation and there's no way they could argue they wouldn't know. Why? Because we'd all be there with our eyes and ears to secure the border. Real simple, we would all be there with our eyes and ears to secure the border. Mobile militia deployments, kinds of manpower, you know, technology and resources at our disposal. you could even be flying drones! You know, RC aircraft with cameras or RC aircraft with IR technology, infrared and say starlight technology from above. Be transmitting. You know, you're be able to buy this stuff so stupid, Chief, it's ridiculous. And it's already palletized. It's plug and play. Hold, plug and play. Example is a ruggedized and armored hole wireless with transmitter. camera antennas everything ready to go. $103.74 that could be up on a 10 foot or 20 foot piece iron pipe pointed towards an area and scan and back up another one that comes in from the other direction. They want to play games let's And China Sport provides the technology to be able to do more of it, but wait, you can also look for mark downs and older camera technology. Anything and anybody who tries to cause problems. Most typically, the shysters would try to bring in third parties to create a confrontation. Well, what if you're all camera-ed up and everybody can monitor everything so when they try that, virtually every aspect. It's like the drive-by shooting things where the will try to drive by shooting like at the Bundy Ranch like they did the old that's right where they were at the gray ranch and the cops did the dry shooting with the truck well it got caught on film and that's the days when we had the cameras guys or beta cameras day There's no reason that you'd be able to sneak up on anybody. We can see them for miles away with low-tech night vision technology, camera technology up the gee-gee, and all kinds of other fun stuff that could be done to secure and operate effectively. Think about it. So simple, it's ridiculous. By the way, there are black and white television signal generators. This is something new through DealXtreme. Definitely we need to take a look at, remember how we were talking about having your own television station locally? Now, this is what I think it is. Fluppertash, kids, I think it is. This is a new item that DealXtreme didn't have up on the front of the menu before, but... but it looks like we're gonna have to do some research here. You could have your own black and white or television station locally and you could be doing whatever you want locally so you could have all kinds of fun. You wouldn't have to show anything commercial. You know, you could take all the Patriot and YouTube stuff that's independent and make a TV station that would be a lot of fun, even do your own ad. They wouldn't be any for any of the corporate junk, but it'd be for other stuff. Think about it. Anyway, I'm going to have to find out more about this. Let's see, model YDC86 gray, standard PAE horizontal scanning, 1.5625 plus or minus, so 1%. Vertical scanning frequency, 50 hertz. Color sub-carrier frequency, 4.43361875 plus 20 hertz. Frequency output, 150 channels. 1 to 5 channels for L band 6 to 12 channel for H band 13 to 50 channels for U band sound 6.5 megahertz video output image signal stripe electronic circle cell spot chessboard center cross line RGB white yellow kind magenta modulation function voltage 220 volt plus 20% great for design product black and white TV set. This one out, I think this has other other way that's a problem. Deal with that. We care! Perfect, hey this is looking cool. By the way, see there's something new you find constantly when you look at the China jump imports. Actually putting out there available guys. Might want to spot check it to see what's going on. You just never know. Again, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com, dealextreme.com This is Communications Tuesday, I'm just looking at something else here to be safe. Ah, somebody here. All sounding good? Let's find out. Now, you guys can answer me by being in that room there, let me know what's going on. Again, dlxtreme.com, dlxtreme.com, go to dx.com, go to Consumer Electronics. Consumer Electronics, by the way, they do have a lot of other technology. So if you're looking for equipment to support your deployment, wherever you are, if you're looking for more eyes and ear-ology, count on it like a pacifier, just use it as an enhancer, part of the living on the battlefield kids, it's something you gotta get used to and okay, but there are some unique assist coming up and online, the stuff that's already built, you don't have to build it, it's already there. One of the other things to point security cameras and they also have some funky junkie you know prints if you wanted to monitor you can light duty laptops all kinds of stuff for running all of your security camera in the field consumption the cult to do quite affordable and eco not economical for you guys so take a look at it now again that color black and white television signal generator that is a hundred and fourteen dollars and sixty four cents we're going to do a little research the picking one up, our allies are already going, hey, that might serve our purpose. So we're going to see what we can do to find out more about that right now. Wow, micro FM, micro AM. Oh, and your old televisions, micro television off the shelf. Well, that'd be kind of neat, wouldn't it, kid? Yeah, probably. So again, signal communications, and it is Communications Tuesday. By the way, Well, you all have a CB in your car now, right? You always have CBs on standby. You do have CB radios. You do have CB radios. Hey, you do have CB radios in place, right? I'm counting on that. I know you've got CB radios in place, don't you? I'm sure that you do, because CB radios kind of are cheap. They don't require a contract. They don't require a repeater cell phone system of any kind. ready to use out of the box. The unit in 510, one of our friends in the chatroom brought that up. The unit in 510 XL has been around in many variations as far as the outer box goes. But the XL, the XL E1, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, don't worry about the additional prefixes. 510 XL is a workhorse duck box. By the way, it could also be opened up quite a bit. Typically it's only at about 50% output. If you open up the lid and somebody knows what they're doing, you can tweak it a little bit and get a lot more oomph without adding a linear amplifier just with a transmitter slash transceiver out of the box as is and a little screwdriver tweaking. Anyway, no, we ain't talking about dope adjustment. No, you know what I mean? If you take the drugs, man, it sounds like you go farther, man. You do a little dooby, man. Whoa. Oh wow, man, I can hear farther with my mind! No, it doesn't work that way, as a matter of fact. Yeah, but CB radio, CB radio, CB radio, and you did get CB. If they create the crisis that they're planning on creating, get away, try to get away with it and panic, especially amongst the ring knockers, is just as likely with them as anybody else. Well, if they do decide to hit the button, we need to be prepared so that we're not going, oh, there's my cell phone! See, now it's interesting, I started talking about this the other night and we had problems with programming. Because the other thing about the cell phone, guys, here's what you're all going to do. My cell phone doesn't work. I can't call up my cell phone, but it's still on. And I get a confirmation that there's something out there. I'll just leave it on so I have this leash up my arse. and so that anybody and everybody can track me while I'm waiting for the government to switch my cell phone system back on along with everybody else's. But wait, they're not gonna switch it back on so you can talk back and forth, but you're all condition-like, cheap to carry it as they leash up your arse when the time comes, aren't ya? When the cell phone systems go off, unplug everything from the cell phone system. Take out the battery, Take the system, wrap the battery in a piece of foil, put it in a Ziploc bag. Take the phone, wrap it up in tin foil, put it in a Ziploc bag. Take the two of them, put them in a bigger Ziploc bag, and secure them. They are useless for you. Once they go offline, and if you can't talk with them or do anything, well, it's bad enough that they track you already. But why are you carrying a leash slash a tracking device for your enemy? Well, the phones might come back on. How about you use the CB radio and learn to use other equipment? The way, oh well, back in the 70s and 80s and even today truck drivers all know how to use. Wow, in fact anybody with a brain can pretty well handle the low-tech radio transceivers that are available. I'm not talking about anything programmable, I'm talking about plug and play and talk. Besides, half of what you're doing on the cell phone right now is pretty well worthless tool garbage, which I guess is cool for cluttering up the enemy's technology, and gives them an excuse to exist. But again, let's look for all the zombies, they're gonna keep the phones plugged in, it's fantastic. for all of you the idea is shut them down when the time comes i'd like one of the work over all keep looking at it and i'll keep powering up and all keep carrying it around for the enemy can track me uh... we were talking about this on the air war we got ball so i want to reinforce this for the next probably couple of days maybe weeks if the phone system goes down rapper it disconnected power supplies don't recharge the batteries why If the 800 Meg system is no good, which it won't be, they'll use it just for tracking, because people are so conditioned. You'll carry that leash on your belt, you'll carry that leash in your purse, you'll carry that leash everywhere, even though it doesn't work! You can get that frivolous text in that means nothing! Oh, but if I don't get to that frivolous text that means nothing, how can I live? Oh, quite well. We did without cell phones for pretty much all of our lives. very very simple process but you know key up the mike on all the other radio each one of you all of you out there using the different equipment means that there is of option by the way the other thing for those of us in a more about what's going on well cb radio don't have to have just the forty channels or single sideband upper and lower died there's a whole lot of other frequencies you can add over five hundred of them if you know what you're doing So that your CB radio talks in no broadcast area, nobody but you and your friends are going to be talking. Now if you keep planting that seed with everybody out there, eventually everybody's going to have what they need properly set up with alternate communications across the whole of the country. But we need to do it now. And by the way, that was one of the things about down there with the Miniman deployment. Yes, everybody got on the CVs. Why? Well, because the CVs south of the border. So everybody got to hear the battle chatter going on back and forth on the CVs with the Miniman deployment 1 and 2. And the bad guys and everybody else were all listening in and oh, they were yapping and everybody ignored their yap. Everybody just kept talking to each other. And it was in mass that they were talking to each other. Rumors south of the border continued to expand. And you know what? The bad guys in government tried to promote bad guy information south of the border, trying to stir the pot up, but it did just the reverse. Nobody wanted to pay a coyote to come across the border when they figured they were going to get popped by the Border Patrol because Americans were going to expect service by the cops. In other words, here they are right here. Come and get them. Here they are right here. Nowadays it'd be, we're all videotaping them. Everybody can see it. We've also videotaped calling you. We're talking to you right now. We're documenting every step of this. You guys better show up. See, then you can get into that interested party process where you start going after the government for failure to perform because you can do that and you treat it as a as an injured party in a contract. That social contract thingy. Know about that. You're not gonna sue him because, oh I got hurt or what it, nah, nah, nah. You go after him for failure to perform contracts. See how that works? Anyway, we gotta grab that cup of coffee smell. Oh, that's fine. It's roll. It's moldy. Well, if you have to go to work, be careful on the road. Pay attention. Watch out. Especially when you get to the intersections. Look behind you. And don't count on that funny light up above stopping a car from going through the intersection. This is likely or not. It won't slow them down at all. They might just fall right through you. So pay attention to your environment. We'll be back on The Rock. It's Tuesday. By the way, Watchyard, I have a box of handheld for nothing just by watching, especially the preview boxes. I just don't think you'll miss what they are. That's the most common mistake. with Fred Dollar Store white cream. This is fine, you know, for a dollar. Not good. If you want the old dial paste and start scrubbing on those connectors, then irrigate them clean. Just a little bit of moisture first. We want to get rid of the oxygen. Then we want to clean it up and clean off those. It's ouchahol slash alcohol NQ tips. And you get right down into the corners, we do a complete in terms of where the connectors are. All the components, make sure everything, of course, all of you really get mics, you get propones, et cetera. If anything it matches up, get them by, what, 25 count, one gallon sized Ziploc bag, put the whole radio and all the equipment in there, bag, and put it in storage. Now you've got yourself another piece of equipment. Of course you're gonna test it to make sure everything's running once you got everything cleaned up. The idea behind it is get the batteries out. You may know, you might find rechargeables in there, woo hoo, a surprise. Another case in point, an inexpensive place to find rechargeable batteries. A lot of people have wireless cordless phones. Well, how do you think those power up? Notice you have a little stand there. Those handheld radios. Oh, that's because it is a old radio. Now they can be working in 900 meg if they're the newer ones or the upper end of the 800 meg, you know, band. But the older ones, here's the thing most people don't realize, work well and consider this. When you hold the phone, How does the phone work? Well, the phone is a transceiver, that wireless phone you're holding. And, well, what's at the other end? Well, there has to be a transceiver in the base in order for the signal to go to the phone line. So you do understand that hopefully you haven't been throwing out any of those old cordless phones because you actually have the impetus for a really nice transceiver set where you have one unit that well you can walk around the house and talk so obviously that signal is strong enough to get back to wherever the transceiver is connected to the phone line what if you modified the base a little bit and even put up another handset you receive unit and negated the phone telephone by wire routine you have a set of like handy talkies made from scratch with other stuff other than what was expected. Oh, you weren't supposed to think about that. And FM no less. In fact, incredibly clean considering you can walk around the house and the signal is as sharp as if you had a ground line typically. Now some parts of the house may cause more blockage than other. But what if you were to take that wireless unit and put it outside and add a little bigger antenna and a reasonable power source that was consistent, be solar or whatever. You could actually set up a really nice, you know, point to point emergency handheld communication system where you could walk out and the base would be of course, this is indoors, that's what I want to talk to you about. Now by the way, these kind of systems are already built. In fact, they're built for offices and industries such as fax and those cordless phones have little clips built right into the frame and they have an intercom option and they work as, well, they're not intercom because what they are, they're transmitters. They're walkie talkies. job site maybe get rid of the old version of those maybe they boxed them up and tossed them in the trash for you not paying attention did you not grab those handy talkies there's four five or six of them and they had the battery chargers oh and by the way if nothing else what kind of power supply do you think those little handy talkies have guys well that's right when you open the back most cases they're double a or triple a standard rechargeable batteries. And since the company was paying for it, they probably bought upper end ion or whatever kind of batteries before they threw them away. You mean to say you let a whole bunch of people get rid of a whole bunch of equipment that was worth like say three, four, or five dollars a battery? Now here's the other consideration. Sometimes when you open them up like when I got the other day, it has three AA batteries rechargeable, but they've got an umbilicus and they plug in as a power pack. You'll take off that funny plastic cover seal over that little power pack. You'll see that there are three separate AA or AAA batteries there for the taking. And by the way, do you think they're rechargeable? Well, I plug it in and I set it in the rack there. The holder, the power of the magic juicy lightning-y stuff comes back to the radio magic machine. Unka, wonka, unka, ooh! So in other words, a lot of stuff just laying around out there are being gotten rid of because older stuff, man. Well, still have rechargeable batteries. By the way, if you have a battery pack that goes bad, I'm gonna remind everybody again. When you have a battery pack and it's a triple or a double A pack, it just doesn't want to keep a charge. One battery is bad. Of those three, it's not the whole power pack that goes bad simultaneously, guys. One cell is once you figure out which one is the weak one, I wouldn't throw it away. I'd mark it as XXX and I put that off to the side because it holds some juice, it just doesn't hold much juice. It's good enough to be used as a activator. because you only need a little bit of juice to get it. So you don't throw away batteries, they're rechargeable, so if they take any kind of charge at all, they can be good for that last five minutes that they run, and then they go kaboom and they set something off. So never waste portable power pods like that, okay? But the other two, well, they're fully rechargeable, they work in any other piece of equipment you want, and they'll take a full, deep charge. so there's a whole bunch of battery there for you to use somebody else somebody i got those comedy of garden landfill through you catch him before that happened so that turned into and double plus good for you that's more well kind of thing remember double plus good credit before their ideas here where he's remember again mark and i need a for the time that you bring them into service always date them on it takes a second will find point sharpie put the information on the battery That way when the time comes you can rate them by age and you don't waste. We use the old, although sometimes older is better, typically like with wine, but it's also our stuff. They're chancing out everywhere they can. So the older battery might actually last three times as long for expensive piece of junk that was public consumption with the assumption that you were going to throw it away. Of course, it's gonna be the case with a lot of people. Let's see, couple of things. We are headed, well, we're still got time here, 888-719-6. If you'd like to call in, 884-7-1968. Okay, that guy's by the way. Just giving you acknowledgement on the air. Other technologies. Now, microphones are another thing, guys. There are a myriad of mics out there, but I would point out that, again, wireless for field operations is not your first best choice for a headset to something else. One of the reasons is that's another thing that has to have a battery power. It's another thing that can go wrong. It's another thing that can be broken in one form or another if you're not careful. Doesn't mean that you can't make the stuff work. And like we said, you improvise whatever you can grab. I ended up with a couple of units here the other day that are... I guess the... Now, am I going to use them? Probably not. But did I put them in the inventory? Yep. Why hey they were free and they power up I haven't had time to even look at them don't really have any excitement or interest in them Don't want a transceiver next to my brain burning my brain out. It's bad enough the cell phones the way they work By the way to illuminate the cell phone thing as far as having the transmitter next to your head How about you get a headset like you know and plug it in and that way you don't have anything but that? umbilicus and then the transceiver can be away from part of your body could be on your belt so I guess it'll probably take your spleen and flat or take it'll take longer to fire your spleen fry your brain you ever thought about that like that's a matter of body parts and somebody be carrying that 800 meg you know transceiver anyway it's designed to permeate well better it's away from my head how's that sound less less less connected to the head more you know with a again the earpiece and the mouthpiece you know the microphone and your earphones so that you can listen up that way and they're very cheap factors so cheap they're ridiculous now there's no reason not to be doing things that way if people walk around with a blue bluetooth in their head talking to themselves what the big deal with getting a harp you know a single earpiece with a boom mic and the plantronic one i'm wearing right now it's so simple it's ridiculous hear that anyway uh... couple of things with regard to uh... technology there a lot of equipment that we're talking about even if the phones are damaged or if you find pieces of equipment that are damaged. Guys, there's a lot of equipment with damaged radios that is quite valuable. Pick up mics, that little piece that you spark and that thing you're talking into can be used for if I cannibalize a pickup mic and a few other tools, I can put something out in front of me with a piece of PB foam and make a shotgun mic that allows me to listen into people talking whatever i want to do uh... your pieces are kind of nice because again that microphone at night sound travels i want to create a uh... uh... sound mind something that'll make noise to defeat simple little microphone or a couple of them ganged up whatever you think will seek you this is capable a three five nine record record copy over just capable a three five nine record record box for a few copy over now the important thing is or reaction. Native minds, just take a bucket of 5 gallon pail, take the electronics, stack it in there and stack it and rack it and just put a lid on it when you fill it up, find another one. And so you got this energy components, kapatronic stuff that you need that makes things on the battlefield. Oh, you thought the enemy would just have their way with that. Guys, we outnumber them virtually to one. Just like with the cell phone conversation process, high confidence, low tech, and helium party balloons. We got to a mic, however long you have the recording device, helicopters, because of the hand or sky, however many balloons you need to lift. We've done this with cameras, guys, tethering cameras, lifting them up, graphing and videotaping an area, signal back to the ground, data and information in the front of the bag, guys, busy a series of signals that are, well, like helicopter operation, so we're almost like somebody's got an aircraft in motion, but wait, doing something else. signal operation as long as it runs hooking up a little cheapy solar cell to the unit with everything hooked up, ground range for quite some time. Hell, it might float for more than a day. Today, light starts operating again because the solar cell all the stuff to give it power. Just a little bit in stock and that's kind of cool. Confusion is good to keep the bad guys busy. For pennies, then you've got pennies well spent. Pennies.
