At night, even with the brights on, it was just dark. A combination of humidity in the air, cloud cover altitude, no reflection. The reason is I used the Nome last night. And again, the difference between night and day, just having an old, single, monocular first generation night vision device, two different worlds. And you're using, of course, that rifle sight first generation, which is a big step. You know, that's got all the bells and whistles by comparison to the Nome. You know, Nomes were just little pocket units. Don had originally, there were square and round. I have one of each. And there units they blasted for well how long Don think about it how long since we bought those oh geez those were moving out in 1998 99 to about 2001 what we have I can turn it on she functions plausibly so the little rifle unit you have I have good confidence that that's good as long as you pay attention take care of it and doctor the batteries that unit is going to be good for a long time yeah yeah what's the voltage on those batteries somebody gets an extras what do I know that's a three You were broken up for some reason. I had an incoming call there. Go ahead. W3 battery. That's a three battery, isn't it? They're readily available from camera shops. Most any of the pharmacies have them. Hardwares have them. You can get rechargeables. I know everybody carries them. Nickel hydride or ion. And if you do that, again, progressively invest in rechargeables. But without the bat, grab whatever you can in the way of immediate off the shelf to get yourself three or four extras. You're not going to go through batteries that fast, but coal takes a bite. Time to get in next winter to be using batteries, changing batteries out. Coal is the only thing that you're going to have to deal with. You're in Pennsylvania like we are in Michigan. You get about the same kind of weather we do off the lakes. Again, just act accordingly. I like to keep them in the front left pocket. All the gear should be in certain places. Make a standard for your own group and your own unit and your own personal purposes, but make sure you always know that even if it was pitch black, you can reach to a certain spot and you know where your spares are. No matter what it is, medical, supply, handheld, radio, there are no reason for replacements for certain equipment and separate them so there's no confusion. Don't put all of your stuff in one pocket if it's electrical. Separate, that's what's nice about having four pockets on a field jacket and four pockets on your battle blouse. You've got plenty of spaces to put things, so keep them separated so that in darkness there's no confusion. I need to go to my left lower pocket. I need to unbutton it. I need to reach in or unsnap it. I need to reach in. I know it's in a baggie. I have two of them in there. I reach out. You're thinking this through and you don't have to see. You don't have to use a light. And you can change out batteries in pitch blackness without any problem. And then if your flashlights take a little different battery, then that's why, again, you want to keep them separated. And also, If you're using rechargeables, remember, the rechargeables go off to the side. Don't try to put them both in baggies, as you can waste time making mistakes. The baggie has the good ones, the used ones just get slid into the pocket and are loose. That way it's easy to remember. You know, another lock bag is your best choice for that. Go ahead. Go ahead, please. So where's all your fish and tackle? Hold out one of these little plastic container boxes that opens on both sides with compartments on each side. Tackle right in my pocket. I think that that little plastic box you guys put hard in it, you go walking across the field, those spaces with paper you can feel rattling. But when you start putting things out like that, well, with all the batteries there, there's all the fish, dinky little things. Again, the space is filled up so it doesn't rattle, imaging a round in a pocket. I know in this bag, I've got all the, this bag, I've got all the sort things in such a way. And the weight of that can. Yeah. Another thing I liked about that, that piece is the switch on it. It's, it's depressed on it just down and then you punch it and charge that and it's instantaneous. It comes right up. You didn't have to wait because when you talked about it originally, I thought, oh how long is that charge going to take? It's instantaneous man. When you turn that first generation device you still have an image on you. About another 30-45 seconds. You just don't have the crosshairs. But if you know, if you can put that in your brain where that crosshair is and you now align that eyepiece with your eyes, you know, it's a nice beautiful thing. How many hours can I get out of a battery? I think the manufacturer says like 30 or 40 hours for the truck. The illuminator does drum hard. 2,000 hours divided by 30 hours.
