By the way, for everybody else out there, we should be doing the same thing. We got the main lasagna potato program in place. If you haven't done lasagna planting before or lasagna gardening before, that is kind of fun. For potatoes, we found it really works well. And where we have so much moisture here, we got lots and lots of leaves. green fash from the yard. Guys, you can crank out a whole lot of potatoes. They're easy to harvest if you do it right. Check lasagna garden and you'll see what we're talking about there. You'll find if you do a search. Nancy experimented with this a couple years ago. From a handful of throwaway potatoes we cranked out a whole lot of sponges. In January, the root cellar, we usually put about three to four hundred pounds of root cellar, you know, depending on the availability and cost. You gotta make a run-up in order to make that a special trip you do that is on the side when you're up north in the middle of the state. Potatoes, talking two or three dollars for a 50 pound bag, six dollars at the most depending on the year, and potato. And of course, the size varies too. Now food production is especially, especially critical right now and this includes the fact that there's some really unique breeds of stuff that you can get planted out in the back 40. I highly recommend that you do anything abduction. There's a number of different things you can do. Cherry, robust. Pear trees will take a beating. In fact, you're going to get nothing but good food from them. They're not a real problem for parasites, you know, worms, etc. Have wild trees gone wild and you see, well, there's spots on those apples, Mark. Well, I would recommend that you take a look at the tree. Has it been pruned and trimmed in the last 10, 15? If it hasn't, you have a lot of what's little thatch and, you know, pokey sticks, guys. And what happens is that piece of fruit, while it's growing, well, it's kind of like, you ever seen these square watermelons? Well, how did they get that? They put the watermelon in there and they let it grow to the container and then, well, it kind of what happens, those little dark spots, you think are bugs? They're pokey spots because it's a mature tree that's kind of tired, hasn't been worked on, has been developed by, you know, humans in quite some time. If it is, then the fruit tip is un-abused. You'll still find even on the best, somebody's not out there, just, they'll stick off. the tree you have all these little minor bleeder branches that pop out and they poke the fruit while it's growing. Just because it's out there in the wild it's got a spot, Mark, it looks like it's puckered. Yeah well look nearby it. Oh there's a stick there. So chances are and again even if there is something in there, remember if you're hungry, Perry, what you do is you save what you can that's useful and feed the rest of the critters. Nothing goes to waste. In fact we do many many many bushels of apples through the year over and over and over again and I still I mean we set them out some of you have enjoyed them at home you're snacking on them as we speak maybe putting them in your cereal right now we dry everything pears are especially fantastic for this either for pickling for canning and for dry storage you're gonna do drying all of the above so pears in the back 40 and trying to build up more than a few of those trees Bush razz these simple berries black raspberries, red raspberries, I don't care what you put in, because there's an advantage of raspberries, of course, and even gooseberry. If you do wild gooseberry, they have thorns, wild hazelnuts, they have thorns. You get two benefits. You create natural barbed wire hedging, and in the process, you're gonna eat it, or brings in other things that you might want to eat. There goes another Bambi flopping over sideways with that little 22 round that might cut up being where it's supposed to. Yep, you had to. That would be the way to work it. But small game also. Funny production. If you have fence lines and you build up pokey sticks, lots of, you know, like Bramble and such, and it has a Raspberry, Hazelnut, whatever, those become small animal protection zones. They're especially desirable because they'll help to build the population and food drops from above or at least they'll be nibbling on what's right there and i think all plants but what they will do is benefit and you benefit okay becomes an area they like to congregate to live in well money and uh... say uh... some we money and a little bit of and money and uh... you know two other items potatoes etcetera and you've got yourself pretty decent meal you know what i mean so again think ahead work on this now i've got a bunch of the uh... cherry all the cherry bushes were forcing uh... the fact considering we got them early early on they were actually tiny i've tripled the size since we bottom about uh... what a month and a half ago and i mean really pump them up the thing is i've got one branch of her muffin to do that today that looks like it's not going to really produce uh... you watch that don't leave them leave them on cut them back and um... They don't want to be bugaboo problems and they heal faster. The other thing is that again, that'll allow for the plant to focus on building new rather than trying to save old damage. This is what you do when you're trimming and pruning trees for bleeders and such. That energy that is wasted on those little bleeder branches and such is why you lose fruit. You lose fruit, you lose production. It's dial up, you plug in the input what you want to send out. Goes out through the antenna and congratulations. Now you need to do a little research because you want a mixing board and a few other toys, but it's not that to do. So let's take advantage of that and get that done and out of the way. Okay? That's not the only one. several others that are available top to bottom you'll find for instance 01 I want you've got here for some reason it's got interesting well it's a shuffle in the inventory there are other small micro FM units which by the way and also video sending example CZE 15 alpha which is a two watt to 15 watt stereo FM transmitter when I'm holding on here this is my that is everything you need right there to set up a micro FM station. $11.51. You're selfing. A nice rig running off 12-bolt, which they all do by the way run off 12. Very seldomly run off more. Some of the odd units are at 14.5. I haven't seen anybody that's into the industry work like this really going off in that tangi- The reason is just commonality of power supplies and marketability. If it's 12V, a lot of people are kind of shunted by that. They're like, nah, I want to mess with that. So again, this is a plug and play power supply, 100-240V, works off a wall wart, works off an alternate power supply. Again, they've got pretty much everything I need here. Transmitter power adapter, UK One antenna, 840 centimeters and one set of it. Okay, one antenna set, antenna array. Anyway, the total cost is $211 and one seven-man stock and that is at dealextreme.com. It's not the only one, by the way. There are a number of different options here. But this particular unit would be nice especially looking at setting up a signal communications trailer and you the thing about, they do have a 5 watt unit, stereo FM, transmitter for 7. And again, if you actually become a more dynamic transmitting unit, it's not critical, but it would work. And it is a simple user friendly design, fly system. So I think everybody can handle the equipment. It's pretty much very user friendly plug and play. pretty much all of the way that they're working the prams so again if you want to hook up a microphone you want to hook up all whole bunch of the cool stuff to have your own little micro FM station in place uh... you can do a simple fact that one that particular one the cz he has based on audio input and mike input separately just no for instance music all paid out your musical that with the box Get back to talking, switch out your CD while you're doing that if you keep everybody confused and go back to playing some more music or again, your little mixing board, use your computer or use satellite hookup and feed directly into the micro. Bigger is better when it comes to antenna collection, so if you've got a big, like, six footer, five footer, six footer, a twelve foot dish, oh, you don't get rid of that twelve foot dish. It's already hooked up on a post and somebody spent that kind of money back in the day. You better make sure you're taking care of that, figure out what you need, talk to Rick Satellite. and find out what it is that makes sense that you can hook up to that so that you can have a whole lot of fun with the technology but remember that come out twelve foot if you have a twelve foot we had we had two of them one of one actually was uh... feeding one of our uh... uh... microfem stations in the middle of the state phenomenal signal it was that i thought it was like butter i'm telling you all right i'm telling you you know i just saw my class every time i was seeing it And everyone was going, how does your signal sound so good?
