Mark Koernke discussed the Fort Hood shooting incident, emphasizing preparedness and self-defense in mass casualty situations. He provided detailed technical information about ammunition types, particularly Russian-produced steel-cased ammunition and zinc plating, and reviewed products from Center Fire Systems. The show featured a guest segment with Joe from the Carolinas discussing victory gardening and preparedness during the growing season. Koernke also covered signal communications projects, including 6-meter repeater testing across Michigan, packet radio systems, and micro FM broadcasting equipment from DealXtreme. He solicited sponsors for Liberty Tree Radio and discussed the need for developing chaplain corps and other support elements within militia organizations.

A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat. And speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. And keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. and your daughters visit doctors so their children will be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As Iowoc, he vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each God given right we only watch in tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave is this still the land of the free? Yes, good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, this is the second hour of The afternoon intelligence report time, our kirky. It's interesting we've had a little bit of rain when we have had precipitation for this winter it has come straight down. Now I mean straight down, not kind of sort of straight down. It's fascinating. It's calm as calm can be. We have a little bit of breeze before when the front came in, but as we had the rain, straight down. Now in this case still, this particular front has come out of the southeast off Lake Erie, and because of that, it's a big icicle coming off the Great Lake there. Yeah, temperature dropped again, so it was a little colder out there. Make sure you're grabbing your rain gear, but also a good jacket underneath, so you're going to freeze, because that Cold still commutes through that reindeer if you're not careful. So make sure you got an insulating layer underneath the reindeer. It's that simple. Now, Wiener dogs! Wiener dogs! Oh my goodness, somebody sent me a picture of Wiener dogs! You know, they're dachshunds. Yeah, dachshunds. They are cute. Anyway, overweight dachshunds. That's of course especially terrible because they get belly calluses. If you've ever had people with dachshunds around, Belly calluses. It's horrible. Oh the horror. Oh the terror. Well if they catch it is too because wiener dogs just because they look cute doesn't mean they aren't mean. Think of it like a doberman with real tiny legs and an attitude. Just the way they are. Anyway, yeah, we had Fritzi next door to us when we lived out in the moon docks in Fritzi. was not a nice or kind dog in any way. In fact, the old Growl-O-Matic is what we called her. Anyway, sleepy. Well, as it is, it's been quite a week and as we know we've been talking about the Fort Hood incident, which again, first time we've had a Prozac shooter double up on a location and that comes to us in this decade because The bad guys can't operate outside of areas they don't have total control of anymore because everybody's hunting for their operators. I would point this out again, everybody needs to be on the lookout for being stuck in an incident like this. Number one, every time there's been one of these mass shootings initially they report more than one shooter which then goes back to one shooter which is then always this guy by himself. Okay, that's cool. Now, Any place where you get stuck and you are armed, if we see one of these mass shootings going on and we see that there is a drone or a shooter and they've got maybe a slave, they're tagging along or dragging along, that they're going to blow his brains or her brains out. Notice I've never met a girl. His brains out and then say he did it. Be prepared to defend yourself and be prepared to get all of them that are in the pack. Most important is to start putting blood on the ground. Does everybody remember that? If you're capable of being able to hit a target and hit it consistently, bleeding every one of your enemies also helps when it comes time to say, oh yeah, there was a group of them and I shot every one of them and that's their blood and that's his blood and that's his blood. Oh yeah, they might only be tagged or wounded. But you know what? You put forensics evidence on the ground. Now it doesn't mean that they aren't going to lie about that or again make it all disappear. You understand that if at all possible they're going to manipulate the crime scene and lie flat out. But the cool thing is with modern camera technology and other imagery, the battle can be completely recorded in one form or another or the action and that in and of itself gives you a database to work with. See how that works? So pretty straightforward and easy to understand. So for everybody out there, most important that We all are prepared for that. By the way, real quick, there's a question about when the next party on the beach is up. I would point out that last weekend was the party on the beach weekend, but two weekends out is Nob Creek, so it's probably going to be off for another A couple of weeks past that, weekends past that, because this weekend we have the mid-Michigan meetings going on. In fact, we've got friends coming in from Indiana, up from Indiana, from below us, and also from New York, I understand. So I don't know if we're going to have any people from Connecticut or Rhode Island. I don't think we'll have anybody from Rhode Island. But this meeting coming up this weekend is to coordinate radio and signal communications. We're probably going to send some people back east who are going to be helping to set up part of the radio grid there to expand it immediately so that's going to happen. Anyway, more on that in a minute. I've got to put this out. Let's see, it's four weekends out before we go any farther. Just so, there we go. So anyway, as it is, Let's see one two three four we have a course we don't have anybody I doubt anybody be allowed to discuss much enough there It's gonna be totally controlled with regard to what just happened at Fort Hood, but basically prison grade school and Military bases all operate the same way of the prisoners are all whole told to hit the rack and In other words, press your bunk or you're going to be persecuted later by the MPs or by the secret police or by the warden's guards depending on what kind of school prison, military base prison or prison you're in. Now, remember your property of the state. You must be a disarmed plebe. While we could just tell you to get away from the AO, instead of course the idea is they want you all to lock down. You're a property of the state and you're a prisoner, so shut up and lock down. If they do come and kill you, well, that's your tough luck. And know you can't protect yourself, you can't have a gun, you can't have equal firepower or whatever. You're supposed to be a good, disarmed, plebe-slash-slave. So shut your mouth and be a good victim. Be a good victim. OK? Uh-oh. Oh, yep. Hold on here a second. Okay. Yes, I got something. Yes Hold on guys. What three things at once here tonight. This is interesting Not yet though. Hold on. There we go there anyway As it is, let's see what else do we have going on here a couple of things I wanted to touch on stuff that we caught I want to say thank you to our guys appreciate the spike there real quick and hopefully that answers questions also I believe, and I've got to double check this, Center Fire Systems may already be offline. www.centerfiresystems.com for our friends out there listening. www.centerfiresystems.com. Take the time plugging over there real quick. www.centerfiresystems.com. and when you get over there, let's see if they still have, oh they've got the pistol there, okay. They had, and oh they still have some of the ammunition posted. Somebody was asking me about brown bear and Russian bear ammo. It's all, the bear ammunition is all Russian produced guys. It's steel case with variations on finish. Now, I want to qualify this real quick and explain. You'll see it right here in the picture actually. If you look They have brown case, you know brown bear which is basically the lacquer case. You've got silver bear which is the zinc. That's not nickel. That's the zinc finish, I'm pretty sure. Now zinc was something that was used, actually everybody experimented with it before World War II, but the Germans with their steel case development are the ones that perfected it. And that's where the Russians and everybody else got the idea of zinc plating. Now, the zinc plating holds up very well, although there was an interesting moly zinc that they used, the Germans did, and it also was used by the Spanish, because they were in cooperation with the Germans, that actually has a brass tinge range. Now, there's many different alloys out there, and this particular type of, it wasn't a brass plating per se, but it had a brass It actually had more of a real gold color to it. Gold doesn't really shine shine if it's freshly molded or whatever. It had more of that color range to it. But the zinc finish actually holds up quite well and serves for a good long time in storage, especially with modern storage systems that we have like 50 caliber and 30 caliber ammo cans. If you get this ammunition and you stack it away right now and keep it out of the environment, This stuff will store for a long time. So the Silver Bear Case, the Zinc Case Tamo, is not a bad solution. The only consideration is, again, how much does it cost? Is it cheaper? If it is more expensive but it's all you can get, do you grab it? Why not? The zinc is a good lubricant, really brass is a lubricant also, that's what people don't realize. It's a non-adhesive, it's not going to adhere to the case walls. It's a dissimilar metal and it's a softer metal than the chamber. That's why the softer metals are used or that's why you are either lacquer coating or you're copper washing or you're zinc plating or you're nickel plating the brass. or the steel case. So there's a reason for that. It creates a kind of a again a metallic lube. The crystalline structure of that metal is more malleable and that's why it is chosen so that it gives instead of the chamber you do not have any adhesion issues. I want to address that right now because there's nothing wrong. You know if somebody asked me in a letter here in fact who's Hal, no no don't forgive me for that Hal, hold on I gotta make sure I get that right. It was Wellington in Virginia. He was asking about the Silver Bear very much. And it's a good ammo, if that's what you can get locally for a better price, or you got a gun dealer, or an ammo dealer at the gun shows, and that's what you can get in the 7.62x54R, it'll work fine. I don't, I haven't seen, and I don't know, maybe a few years back they brought it in, I think it'd be cool if it was in 7.62x39, but you don't see it. The zinc plating works very, very well. I have shot probably cases and cases of 8mm Mauser over the decades that is zinc plated. I've never had a misfire. I've never had a failed case. The bullets always gone down range and this stuff was built in 1942. It's 1942 World War II German production ammo. Just to give you an idea. It was war production. An interesting thing that I know now which is fascinating about German war production guys is that they changed up to cheaper powders during the middle of the war, 42, 43. For them, that was the late middle of the war because they've been fighting for a long time. It's interesting to note that they found out that the cheaper powders that they used actually performed better. These alternate powders that they had steered clear of actually performed better in the winter environment of the Russian front. It was a surprise even to them that they actually had switched to it sooner. It would have been an enhancement in terms of cheaper to produce. It had more ammo for less money, more ammo for less material used. The new powders also were using fewer strategically critical materials. Just a case in point there. I wanted to look because I was told that they might have gotten some other ammunition in, so give me just a second. I'm going to go to Centerfire's brass case. I don't see anything jumping off the wall. They do have some 308 Silly Billet S&B Surplus, you know, Sutter Biddle, S&B Surplus brass case, Namo. 20 rounds for $9.49. They've had that on and off and apparently maybe they got some back in stock because they did run out of it for a bit. Now Centerfire, like a lot of these companies, guys are going to be down at Knob Creek in two weekends. Center Fire System sets up right on the edge of the range, right on the corner of the range, right across from where Poker Face plays at Knob Creek. So if you ever want to stop in and see what they've got, everybody's kind of short on inventory and they don't bring that many weapons so much as they try to bring all the odds and ends and kit stuff that they have. But they don't have as much of that now, so don't be surprised at what you see there because it may be a very different change in inventory. It's expected, it's not an if. It just makes sense, it's logical. Anyway, also if you get a chance and check out the other cool stuff that's hanging around, there are a number of other kit projects out there too in terms of gun parts coming in. One of the things that we've noticed, and I see this with the VZ-58s right now too, it appears the VZ-58s are coming in with their With the barrels intact now the VZ of course is an odd man out Maybe it's because they got you know, they're trying to get the checks to kill somebody so they're allowing the weapons to come in and Doesn't include receiver but looks like the barrel is intact and of course I'll give them a call tomorrow to confirm that but for those you have the VZ 208 etc This is the best way to get a complete spare parts kit or let's put it this way if you can get hold of a VZ receiver and you have one of those VZ-208s, you know the new 7.62x39 VZs, all these parts go on that rifle. So if you get a receiver for $300, doesn't make very much to make that VZ rifle complete and put it on something else. The VZ rifles have Bakelite. These particular ones have very pronounced Bakelite stocks. They also, oh, something they have not offered before. Not in any quantity. They actually have the wooden stock version available. Now that is interesting and I'm going to have to ask somebody about Looks like the condition is very good to excellent. Just again, that's CenterfireSystems.com. You don't see that rifle with the fixed stock very often, but the fact that it's there is an interesting flag for everybody. So just something to pay attention to. Anyway, we're looking at a number of other projects coming up here. I would recommend that if everybody can take the time and go to CenterfireSystems.com to see what they do have pop up on the screen. Unamo.com. I had several queer quests again. Are you serious about that, Mark? Or were you guys joking? I guess if you caught me by accident once, we weren't joking. It's Unamo.com. Unamo.com. Unamo.com. Take the time. Plug in. Check out what they have available. And then go from there. Tell you what, do we have Edward? Wait. Standby. I know I'm putting Edward on the... Oh, wait. There we go. Now you can hear me. There we go. We got Edward. Ed, you do me a favor. First of all, do we have a caller? I want to make sure, okay, we've got patient listeners. Ed, we've got new sponsors coming up, but I need to have you take over for a minute. I wanted you to do this today or at least in the next two days. Sponsorship, we need additional sponsors, guys, and we need to spread the word. But if you've got somebody that is a friend or somebody who's in manufacturing or production, weapons, preparedness, whatever. Ed, please take the time. I'll be back in a minute. That takes something here real quick. But how can we get people up or how can people get up as sponsors? and give everybody a quick overview on the new sponsors that we do have please. You'll see the little top of the bar. We got the Snowy Mountains still up there. We've got homes, schedule, chat room, get your music on LTR, Patriot bands and artists. Let's see, broadcaster, etiquette, and then we have emergency communication procedures, donate, and after the donate you see we got this thing called the sponsors page. When you click on that you'll see the information that we have for the sponsors. I have to update the phone number since we are down in Texas now, or at least I am, and I'm the one you're going to be dealing with. But our basic contact information is there the two different packages that we have for sponsorship are listed there. $100 a month for one audio ad and a banner either 600 by 90 or 180 by 180 on our website for $100 a month. That's cheaper than most everywhere else. For just a banner or button you want on our website, the $25 a month for one banner, same as the $100 a month. The only difference is we've got the audio ad, which we play at the top of every hour, and then if we one of our hosts asked for a break in between you'll probably hear it in there too but primarily we're just selling the top of the hour break I don't know if we got marked back yet or not We'll wait and see. I'm guessing no. So again, if you want to know more you can do a tension Liberty Tree radio sponsor to www.libertytreeradio.com. You can call 1-734-424-0919. Of course that's the station studio in Michigan. I don't have the number for down here yet. Guys, I'll get that posted soon. I don't have it memorized yet, so I can't just rip it off the top of my head. And I think we're still waiting for Mark, so I'm gonna go over here and I'm gonna pop into a couple of the ads real quick. And again, keep up the good work. We're doing the same thing here with our greenhouses in our hot room, as a matter of fact. Also, we're doing something that we actually do this every year for everybody out there listening. There's a lot of stuff when you get down to the base, you can start it back up again. You've seen little pieces about, you know, everybody knows about onions. They start to go green, start to sprout out. Well, why not put some of them in the dirt for the winter and snip off green onion all through the winter, which is what we do. But we also use those to do start up and then create new bulb sets down the road. All through the beginning of the late part of winter through the early part of spring when you can't put as much in up here where it's still frozen in spots, we start up the onions and promote them to the point where they go full cycle and go to seed to actually produce the bulbs up on top. And I use those for seed sets for the later part of the spring or for starting up other patches. So, just something to think about. Just an experiment. It's one of those side bar things. I got extra soil, mulch, old leaves from last year. Right now we're at the melt point where everything is exposed. We don't have any snow anywhere in the bottom part of the state here. We're pretty well clear. We're getting cold wet spring rain. Well, mulch is out there in the forest. In fact, Nancy was spending part of the day yesterday every couple of hours raking up some more of the leaves. putting them into the garden. One of the things we do, since they've already sat for the season, is I use those for filler in the base of the pots. Throw a layer of some of that in, throw some of the older dirt and soil into the base, add a little bit of the fertilizer, a little touch, and then use some of the other potting soil or the other soil that I've laid sterile for the season, and then put something in it. One of the things I'm doing right now are potatoes. Old potatoes. People were tossing out bags of old potatoes. They're soft enough, they're not mush, but they're wrinkly. Well, if you're worried about them, that's not a big deal. They're seed potatoes, guys. They work great as seed potatoes. And to do lasagna gardening or to do bucket gardening with the old potatoes, it's a good experiment. One potato gets you a whole bag of potatoes if you do it right. Just think about that. Whatever you do get, the potato is on the outbound anyway, this is a great way to get a little more life out of that stuff that can be replanted and regrown. Just think about that in terms of food. Wherever you can do that, I don't care what kind of real estate you got, you can do something. Real quick here again, and I want to say thanks to everyone for kicking in there. I want to remind everybody we are looking for additional sponsors always. Anybody remember that it's very reasonably priced, what we do with Liberty Tree Radio just like Joe McNeil does with the micro effect. We're not gouging anybody. You definitely get a response. People have done a really good job of picking up the phone and ordering from the people that are supporting the effort in the process. So I'd remind everybody again when you go to our Liberty Tree radio page, there are sponsors on that page, please take the time and support them the way they're supporting Liberty Tree radio guys. Also again, BC is coming up next and the next hour. Don't worry, we're not leaving yet. We still got about 15 minutes or so here with the Intel report. But a reminder that the Chaplain Corps The other side, just like you saw with Fort Hood, look what they do to themselves. Okay, look at, you know, again, it's the old story. Sacrificial ants don't impress me. Everybody hunker down under your bed with your chibok cheeks hanging out. Well, I'm safe, I can't see what's coming, but your arse cheeks are hanging off underneath the bunk waiting to be shot or banded in the arse. We need to be warriors. We truly, truly, truly need to be a nation of spiritual and physical warriors. If we understand the spiritual aspect of this, nothing that the bad guys are going to try to do is going to affect us. We understand our place and time, our point in history. Again, our faith will carry us. So, the Chaplain Corps is especially critical and I would ask that if you're out there, and I'm not talking about a 501C3 Church, wrong, I'm talking about an American Chaplain Corps. You all can be part of that. If you are inspired by the Word of God and if you would like to assist as part of the Chaplain Corps, then get a hold of us. Send me a letter, PBN, P.O. Box 194, Dexter, Michigan 48130. That's PBN, P.O. Box 194, Dexter, Michigan 48130. And I'll put you in touch with one element or again help to give you support. to build up a chaplain's detachment because that is what is needed across the whole of the system guys. We have a need to develop that element along with many others, our medical corps, signal communications operations, transportation, etc, etc, etc. You know, it's not all combat infantry. You're all a rifleman first, but again, we have a lot of areas of need to be covered now, not at the last minute. That way we are prepared to deal with the problems that we are going to be facing in this war that is coming up and we are going to have to fight for our liberty. Don't ever be ashamed or hesitate on that. We will have to fight for our liberty. You are not going to be delivered on a feather bed. That is crazy. That is nonsense. That is idiocy. Again, I look down on people who think that way because it just doesn't work. It never has throughout the entire history of man and today is no different. There have been no significant changes. Only the toys and even they disappear after a while. It doesn't take long for everything to go back to hacking and shopping rules if you're not careful either. Do we have a caller just to be safe? Anybody out there? and just i don't hate to leave anybody okay very good uh... again pb and p o box one nine four dekker michigan four eight one three zero and i do want to say thank you and good afternoon to our friends in scotland also in scandinavia the northern european countries we've got a lot of listeners ever we've had some response uh... recently here again and keep an eye on the mail you've got something coming back at you so uh... you enjoy that Hopefully again, sit down, take the time and then give us a response once you've read what you've got headed your way. The other thing right now here again guys, it is Tuesday, well forgive me Tuesday, it's Thursday, it's a tea day, it's Thursday. And two weekends out we have the Nam Creek machine gun shoot this weekend. Because of this wet weather we're also seeing additional again rise in the water tables. If we have lowlands, you're going to have standing water because not all of the areas are thawed out yet. Remember, the farther north you go, the more the frost line is still secure. Now, it doesn't mean it isn't working. In other words, it's going to start softening up. This makes for very dangerous cross-country work that you always need to be thinking about because you have water working from below in the swamp lands or lowlands, and you have the fall above and the freeze in between, which is very deceptive. Bogs especially will take you down. You don't know what you're stepping on. It seems or appears to be firm. Even has the appearance of sod, like it's a golf course or something. Yeah, it kind of looks that way, but it's not. So a quick warning to everybody out there. You're going to be out in the field this weekend. Remember, we're into that in-between phase. Pathfinders, individuals who are working out there in the field, work as teams. Always remember, work as teams. We're the land of lakes. We've got the big Great Lakes and we've got lots of little puddles and water all over the place. And there are places that will take you to eternity if you're not careful. So pay attention. Also, cold wet weather gear. Just like I said earlier, we've got these ice cube fronts coming off of the Great Lakes. We've got rain out of the southeast. That's a Lake Erie front. With it came cold weather today. Be prepared for that. Don't assume that it's getting nicer out there. Even if it's nice during the day, the moment that sun's gone, calories leave with it, kids. So let's not hear about any cold weather casually. Shame on you. I harp on that enough for a reason. I've seen too many people hurt. In regular military operations in civilian life, there's no reason for us to get caught flat-footed. We got the thinkers, they got the stinkers. Now, next, let's see what was the other thing, signal communications. We should have an evaluative report. For all of you listening, a decent report on the basic operations of these micro FM transmitters coming from DealXtreme. We have probably, I think, now every model in service. The only one that we have not tried yet, and again go to www.dealxtreme.com. The only one that we haven't tried is the one that I mentioned on the air, except we haven't, but I don't know if somebody else has picked it up. They're offering one of the deal extreme radios with a complete antenna mast, coax, the whole nine yards. In other words, it's got an external mast, and it has one of the more sophisticated FM rebroadcasting transmitter antennas. It's really cool. Now, the price is about $210. But the package itself for what's available from deal extreme it's plug-and-play guys. It's buy it, assemble everything in place and you have an extensive external broadcast system ready to go. So that is a nice little package. I believe, I'm sure some of our people have looked at it and somebody's probably already bought it. I already sent out some requests through our different social media to try to find out if anybody has and to give us an update. What is the performance range? How does it sound? What's it doing? Again, also how user friendly is it to put together? It doesn't look complicated. It's no worse than any other micro FM. transmitter antenna that we've run into but you never know as far as did they connect the right dots, did they include all the parts. We've already had one person that ordered one that didn't get their power supply, the proper cord. I noticed that in one of the pictures it showed the Asian or Euro cord with the plug. There is a different system that they use. Instead of the sandwich type blades, overseas they use the post pin system. and no it doesn't work over here so that's just the way things are and again there's an adapter system because of the type of power also provided depending where you're on the planet but if you go to dealxtreme.com, dealxtreme.com and then go to consumer electronics it's right at the top of the page in the left when you tap consumer electronics a bubble will appear the middle bottom of the bubble it says other consumer electronics When you go there, there are many pages of optional systems available. Now one of the other things that they do have, and I haven't even mentioned, remember if you want to use that micro FM as an emergency system, consider the fact that there are some really nice very affordable micro AM FM receivers that they're offering for $3, $4, and $5. Now most of these actually have a little single rabbit ear antenna that will increase range and reception, guys. So these make nice little units to, you know, I would normally just say, hey, go out and buy something from the dollar store. The dollar store radio, see that niche of radio seems to be disappearing. Maybe in your area you've got them, I would do that. But for a nice little handheld about the size of a cell phone FM receiver, this is a solution for being able to tune into that emergency broadcasting system that you have established with your micro FM. Now this is in addition to the fact that you have car radios. Remember the cool thing about micro FM for emergency broadcasting is the reason we like it is because everybody has radios out there that accept FM. So that means you can tune in and listen in. Now a lot of them I've noticed don't carry the AM band. That's the only thing that's really fascinating. They are actually FM specific and they're kind of bumping out the other. That's cheaper. But it would be nice if it's AM, FM and shortwave. That's a good combination too. But the tinier toys are out there. Go ahead, Colin. Yeah, you said that I remember I think it was last week sometime you were talking about you're going to do a test on the repeater system around your state and you're going to see how you're going to do some kind of a test on all the repeaters and see how long it took. How did that work out? We have not broken my anticipated goal which was 2 minutes and 15 seconds. I'm pressing that as a goal because the way this works is when they set up the 6 meter repeaters or the 2 meters are pretty straightforward. We could pretty well cover a state with 3 repeaters if we do it right. But the idea behind this is that with the 6 meter we've been running up the eastern side of the state up to the Upper Peninsula across over to the Keweenaw, all the way over to Wisconsin, come down across to the base of the Upper Peninsula, cut across and either hit Mackinaw or hit Traverse City, that area. They go down the eastern side of the state and repeat back across the base of Indiana and Ohio. Now, where Michigan, of course, comes together. The thing is, we've been hitting about three minutes, and part of that is, I think, because some people are a little latent in handshaking. Once you get practiced at this, the idea is that for instance I say, zero nine hundred hours, we're going to do a complete circuit emergency test. And the idea behind this though is also that for instance, it'd be almost like a nuclear test. Sooner is better to know that a mushroom cloud is growing or that there's been a flash, maybe you should all be prepared. In other words, nuclear, nuclear, nuclear. Or, attention, attention, attention is what you do if you're an RO. Attention, attention, attention, nuclear. Well, the idea behind this is that the 6 meter rebroadcasters should be able to get it down to about 2 minutes. The biggest thing is it's a quick handshake and then it just sends the signal out. Now, what we're doing though, something the reason people say, well Mark, it takes so long to give a radio cue. What we're doing is using packet radio. So in other words it's brrrrup and then thrump up you brrrrup. It goes out. Okay, it goes actually it goes out in that second beep beep beep is the the 6 meter picking up the signal and the repeater sending it on. Now that signal can be a text of so many pages and packet radio is antique now but packet radio is really all that texting is. See, texting, I'm doing texting. Oh, you're doing packet radio. No, I'm doing texting. Give it a new name and everybody's on-spired. But all it is is, again, that's packet radio, except with packet radio, we're not going through the system's repeater and giving them data streaming back and forth that they can spy on. With packet radio I could take a CB radio, a 2 meter radio, a 6 meter radio. I could take any radio systems we have and I can send out a signal and rebroadcast and I could pop it all over the planet and I could do it. Here's the other thing that we haven't even talked about. If you really want to be sly, I could take and use 6 meter radio from where I'm sitting. Broadcast to another 6 meter radio with packet radio. The rebroadcaster, the 6 meter, could be faced to a CB radio, which could then shoot a signal so far across a county or two, to another CB, pick that up, repeat it into another type of radio system. Take your pick up and down the dial. We don't have to use the same system, but the 6 meters are the ones I want to play with. It's fun because this is a test of our radio operators. As much as anything, they just need to take it a little more serious. And again, they have to tweak their system because part of what's happening is if you're using a directional YAGI, What you do is you actually play with it if you've seen you know like even on our regular shortwave antennas There is a dial-up like a wheel on the base of the antenna You know we turn the antennas back and forth guys to tweak our signal when we're doing upper end shortwave If you have a permanent antenna in place, you do the same thing with your 6 meter radio antennas and you can build a YAGI for these. But what you need to do is first of all confirm that you're zeroing on a certain target. You get a general compass azimuth. Once you do that, what you need to do is spend a little bit of time, only about 20 minutes to half an hour. And what you do is you have one person on the antenna and another person with their ear to the headset. And each person talks back and forth until you get rid of the sound like this, SM-antic. It sounds like your Star Wars, like you're attacking the Death Star. Any antenna that goes from that to maybe a little sound clearer but still kind of mossy. and then eventually it sounds like you're actually talking in the room with each other and now we've got the signal lined up. That means that your YAGIs are lined up and beaming and within about 1% to 2% of each other perfectly, almost perfectly aligned or typically perfectly aligned if you do it right. Now once you do that, the big thing is remember your data streaming is going to be more efficient because now that they're both lined up, your first handshake, your first bloop! is probably going to be as clear as it needs to be and the radio is going to confirm in the computer the little packet, you know, laptop or your little 386 computer or your dinosaur can go, oh yeah, I heard that, and then immediately clicks into the repeater and goes, bloop, and shoots the signal to the next radio. So, where do you read whatever you're trying to send? I mean, you're, or you can, at any point, remember, it's going, with packet radio, it's going to go through a laptop computer. You're reading whatever's sent each time. Each person is. In fact, you know what I got the other day for free? I got three IBM laptops that are built like a brick dinosaur. Now what these were originally used for is for medical reading. They're very precise laptops for operating EKG units and also medical support systems for integrating them. This is a perfect laptop for the kind of work we're talking about. They're very sensitive. They're economical. I mean, I got them for nothing. And I'm going to take all three of these and put them in one location. They're all going to be used for the exact same purpose. They're going to be in the 6-meter loop. And if one breaks down, there's going to be another one programmed right there set up for the same project. So all you do is unplug all the umbilicals, plug everything back in, and that next computer is ready to go as quick as it takes for you to physically re-plug it in. But I can monitor the signal. Now there's two ways you can do this. You can put an encryption on the system so that if I send the signal out to you and you'll say, three legs out, I can set it up so that only you have the de-encryption system for that signal. If I broadcast in the open though, every leg will see the same Mary had a little lamb, its place was white as snow. You remember the old telephone photograph test? Same thing. It would be rebroadcast and monitored as text in every station where it's picked up and repeated. You got that going out toward Ohio and Indiana, what about going the other direction? Anything going out that way? Well, we can go anywhere. The reason I did this is because it's a full circuit of the state of Michigan. The guy is actually doing this. Captain Monahan is up north right now and he's putting in a station over towards Ludington right now. I think that he delivered it. If he isn't helping with it, I know he dropped off the box as I sent. But, in the Luddington area, we've got a new 6 meter pod going in up there. I got those pieces of equipment from one of our friends down on the road here for free. One of them was an old gray police radio station. It's about the size of a bread box. It's about half the height but about the size of a bread box. The old dial-up rheostats with the micro handles so you can tune everything in very carefully. Really neat little radio but it heats up. It was very clean. It was taken care of by a sheriff's deputy who retired and when he got rid of this stuff he picked it up years ago. He's been retired for probably 20 years. And he said, hey, I got all this stuff anybody wanted. And I said, hey, I got all that stuff in his mind. So we got picked everything up. The coax is as old as, well, I won't say as old as I am, but it's as old as long as I've been working at radio. It's been around that long. And everything was in good shape. So we didn't have to do anything other than plug it in. We're over, Dan. Oh, yeah, we are over. Yeah, we got BC coming up. I'll tell you what, close with me. God bless the republic. That's the new velour. We shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen. The empire's on the run. But we are in the march day and night. Ooh rawr, we'll be back in just a little bit guys, but don't you touch that dial. We got BC coming up next and more live broadcasting on Liberty Tree Radio. Thank you very much for your support.
