Summary
Mark Koernke and Don Betcher discussed ammunition availability and pricing on Weapons Wednesday, March 19, 2014. They covered the rapid depletion of 7.62x54R Russian ammunition from suppliers, attributing shortages to the Ukraine-Russia conflict and geopolitical disruptions to supply chains from Eastern Europe. The hosts reviewed specific retailers (AIM Surplus, Classic Firearms, Sportsman's Guide, UNAMO.com) and their current inventory levels, emphasized the importance of stockpiling ammunition while available, and discussed alternative ammunition sources including Mexican suppliers. They also addressed improvised ammunition reloading techniques and fielded caller questions about vintage military cartridges and specialty loads.

A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave, in this, the land of the free. and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. Envist the land of the free and home of the brave. You vie permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. And keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. and your daughters visit doctors so their children and people, your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right. And pray to God, get the torch of freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he vanished in the mist from whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each God given right we only watch and tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave is this still the land of the free and good evening ladies and gentlemen this is the Evening Intelligence Report, I'm Mark Wurke. And I'm Don Betcher. One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines in occupied territories west, central, southeast, and north. Well, ladies and gentlemen, you're listening to us on LibertyTreeRadio.4MG.com. We're on AM and FM micro stations, CB base stations, and UltraNet Technologies East and West of the Mississippi along with Alaska. We're in the Hallmark Network from the top of Maine to the bottom of Florida. From the bottom of Florida across the ark of the Gulf of Mexico, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, Big Junk of Nebraska, a whole bunch of Wyoming to include both the 3rd and 5th pit and the 9 sisters. Weaving to our friends in Colorado, the recall state, along with the left coast where the Grace Trader Jefferson is, we turn back to the East week across the plains over the Mississippi land with smokies. The restaurant crew's Grandma Team's OK teams, and the Montbell Grammar Consortium where retired telecommunications workers bring us the Golden Spike. Many hands make four light work, a million Pinnacle Junction operators. The ability to continue to function when everything else is offline, and we have to be free and independent that way. Don, it's been damp. It's been... It's a We have a system coming through and a little while ago Mark the Snow was just rolling across the land, horizontal to the land, through the air. A bunny just ran past the window. I won't tell you what I want to do with that bunny. But again, it is the 19th day of March. That bet, because it's a strike down the middle of the week, let's just run right to the mechanical portions here because it is a certain day and with magazine in one hand, well, it's in the magazine well now. that slide release and we can tell, I'm not even going to top off the mag, but we can tell everybody, hey it is weapons Wednesday, the perimeter is secure and there is plenty more where that came from. And that means we can offer equal opportunity. Co-workers, take the time, check out what it is that is available out there and the way resources and act accordingly. We were discussing in the two hour block earlier 762x54R in canned ammo is being vacuumed up. Again, there are smaller blocks of stuff. There are 15 round bundles, 20 round bundles, 20 round boxes, individual cases. There are one or two spots so far that we found that actually have cases or cans of 7.62x54 in stock. But most places they still have left the ad up, guys. But when you go to it, notice that red lettering that says, out of stock. About 3 quarters of the places we went to, if you'll notice, even while we were playing on the air, were out. Now it doesn't mean they're out of everything, but I will remind everybody how that works. There's a step-by-step process for clearing out The different providers, everybody's got this stuff. It doesn't mean they may not replace it, but it doesn't look like they're replacing it as quickly as they're certainly shipping it out the door. So there's still some Silver Bear, Brown Bear, there's some Gummy Bear, Huggy Bear stuff, you know that kind of thing. Then there's some 760x54 Bulgarian, certainly a little bit of Russian. In fact the cased stuff that we found that was Russian was the lighter, not the light bulb, but it was the lighter middle bullet. It was 440 rounds as expected and it was Russian. A lot of the other stuff already gone, already sold out and they are not taking back orders we have noticed. Something real cute here, Weapons Wednesday. This was done as a poster by Iowa Gun Owners Association. Remember we were talking about when we would go out to play guys, we didn't have to bring guns with us. We had woods all the way around the school and well trampled in many areas with lots of really cool paths and runways because when we were at recess everybody headed for the woods. Everybody headed for the yard and for the woods and fought over the playground equipment. If it looked like it was a little too busy there or we had other ideas, well everybody grabbed their favorite stick they had hidden away and they had guns! There's this cool little picture here, Don, it's a poster. There's one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen different pieces of stick that obviously were intended to be used as GONS! And they're sticks! They're pieces of wood, guys! One even looks a little bit like a cap and ball pistol because it has a couple of nubs from a branch on one side of it. The rest are all just a basic shape and form. You had to make do because if you waited too long trying to figure out where your weapon was and you couldn't find one, you better grab something because the games began right away. The little comment at the bottom is, quick like if you ever used one of these when you were a kid. Well, of course. I saw every one of those. Eventually we figured out we could make Sten guns because you had a stick where you have one strip, one twig down and then about a foot out there would be another twig to the left and you just break them off at the proper length and you had a Sten gun. It was really cool. That kind of thing. But, yeah, then of course all of this the child would have to be castrated and lobotomized by the communists that are running the system if they even thought to pick up a stick like that and think about it as a creative toy, you know, creating your own toy. Using your imagination? Heaven forbid that should be allowed down. So again, castrated and lobotomized is what they would prefer. So, everybody out there, pay attention. understand the game and how it works. Remember the good old days. They're going to be, not the good old days, but the new days for a lot of young'uns coming up. Once we clean the country out, they'll be able to have fun again. We'll get rid of all these lame socialists, kill them off, run them out of the country. Whatever we've got to do, needs to be done. Got no time to wait. First time the fool starts something, that's when we finish it. We've got to go to town and we clean the house out. It's that simple. Not going to start it, we're going to finish it. Although who knows, maybe we will start it. You can't be sure. And to be quite honest, do I really care? Not much. It's just like the idea, oh there you are, you're water, do I wanna do this? Oh yeah I do, yeah I do. I do. I don't know about you guys. I'm pretty well fed up and finished with it. A lot of other people are too. This starts in. You better be focused on the war effort. Better be focused on ready to fight and win. This is Weapons Wednesday. Again, 7.62x54R. There are some less expensive nagats that just came in. There's no one stop shopping place down. Well, you could. You could. Aim surplus. has got seconds B-grade NAGOT rifles. Now what do we mean by that? Well these things obviously already been arsenal-refinished. If you look at the pictures they did a good job with a big photo essay of a pile of them in the picture so go to AIMSurplus.com. It's on the front page. All the rifles are a little dinged or scratched from service use which is they're not even as dark as most of the Mausers we've been seeing or even many of the earlier NAGOTS that came in guys. Some of you have those weapons. So they're used but they're field used to a limited degree. They're all excellent weapons. They're $100 a piece. The Nagats have crept up to the $140-150 mark. So you're looking at a good price for a field issue weapon. Buy it. That's AIMSURPLUS.COM, AIMSURPLUS.COM, and they're $100 a piece. Now, the only ammo they have is preview partisan, which is a little more expensive. It is Boxer Prime, brass case, heat annealed, ball round ammunition. If you need some right away and you want to get it all from one place, buy some of that. But again, we're looking for volume. The reason you're buying these rifles is because you can buy the surplus ammo. Well, buy what you can, why you can. If you're thinking about getting one of the Nagats anyway, my recommendation is buy the ammo now. Right now. I mean tonight. If you can afford to do it tonight, do it tonight. The ahead of the wave because whatever is happening here, I believe they've already cut off the Russian. The Ukrainians aren't going to send anything guys. A third of the ammo that was being sold was the Ukrainian. In fact, there was a great price at Palmetto State Armory. They had some rusted cans down. The midday they had them. In fact, only about half an hour before we did the program, I checked and they were still there. By the time we started the program, they were out of stock. Now, we mentioned it in the morning and what these were rusty ham cans and they popped out. Again, you pop them open, pull all the stuff out. You got a rusty can like that, you buy it special, open the can up, switch everything over to 30 caliber or 50 caliber US ammo cans. But don't leave it in the rusty can. Get it out of there and that way you don't have to worry about your ammo being compromised. But the price was better. It was like $70 for a can as opposed to $100, $110, $120 a can. That's your training ammo. Yeah, exactly. That goes to the range and that's your priority. Or it goes into your combat load right away because it's the first stuff to be used. You're going to use it when the time comes. Now, AIM surplus is one place that has the nagats for $100 and they've got ammunition. They're out of the other stuff. The fact they had still some of the heavy ball there. That's what I would go with. It's heavy ball, preview partisan, boxer prime, reloadable ammunition. The next company is ClassicFirearms.com. They have the same rifle. They are malots. I am sure they are from the same supplier. They are again a second round receiver. They are a B grade. There is nothing wrong with them. They are just field grade. You have been buying these field grade rifles for as long as they have been offering nagats. In fact, there are some Chinese ones that look like they should have been fence posts. These are two steps up from those. In fact, way above those as far as the condition goes. That doesn't mean I'm going to get rid of the Chinese ones. But the Chinese ones that came in, they've been carried for more than a few years somewhere. They were battle scarred. They're still just as much of a tack driver. They work, but these work better. So for $100, you're getting a good buy. Classic Firearms has the same gun though for $110. So I would go to AIM Surplus and buy them out first. As quick as I looked, classic firearms have no 7.62x54R. In fact, most of the places have sold out of their hamtins. Most. Not all. And this is where I brought this up to our friends in the chat room. Guys, we need your help. And that what we need to do is find the best places for cans of ammo. Now one place that does have it down, Sportsman's Guide. They show that they have it in stock. I'm not sure if they really do. I guess your best bet is try tomorrow or try tonight, make an order. But there were other better prices listed. There were several different places that were proposed, but when you go to the site you find that almost everything is out of stock. Now the Bulgarian, which is the older corrosive stuff, is here and there spattered through the system. That would be fine. The Russian, which typically you have to figure is corrosive too, is spattered. And when I say spattered, it's random. So, if you find it, do a quick search, see if you can find a better price, and then run with that puppy that way. The interesting thing is, for instance, the guys mentioned slickguns.com. Yep, they list it. It's $157 for 880 rounds. Then there's a big red letter that says out of stock. So, in other words, yeah, they had it up until some time today and it's already gone. So for $160 approximately, that wasn't a bad price. Obviously everybody thought so Don. It's gone. Oh yeah. Okay, so just something to think about there. Again, if you got an Agot or if you've got one of these Vepers, I've told you before, keep buying, keep buying, keep buying. Be ahead of everybody else on this. And it's because our people deserve it. Other people that are slow, oh well. But I would buy the ammo tonight, I would buy the ammo first if you are thinking about getting something, just like everything else we're talking about. Now there are some random clutches of the 545 by 39, but there seems to be a reasonable mix of inventory in that available. It's a mix. Don't know what all's out there. You have to shop around, but you definitely can find a good price for 545 right now. So that's another thing. If you've got the AK-74 or any of your other weapons, while there's a, I won't say a glut, But while there's some available and you can peruse the Skyways, you know the internet, I would do it and again keep adding to your inventory. Now one of the things here Don that we've had going on, actually unamo.com, unamo.com, unamo.com. That's also in the chat room there guys, you can go to unamo.com and I mentioned this in the two hour block, I'll bring it up again. They have some 50 cal that came in here in the last day. It is in 50 caliber tins, not in the 50 cal ammo cans. It is in the tins. Now the interesting thing about this is that this is World War II. That was why I wanted to beg that question. What is the date on that? It is 40s production and what I think is aircraft, it is aircraft ammo is what it is. It is all AP. The whole thing is AP. Every round is AP on the belt. The neat thing is they do have it in stock. I'm trying to find it here really quick. It's 50 caliber black tip. It's Twin Cities Armory. Twin Cities is my favorite arsenal actually. Everybody loves Lake City. Twin Cities, their quality and standards were some of the highest out of all of the arsenals built during World War II. Most people don't realize that. Twin Cities Arsenal is where a lot of the precision ammo came from and their standards pretty well exceeded the specifications laid down by the War Department. Well anyway, that's 265 rounds for $775. Now it's in the pull ham tin with a wooden crate around the ham tin. Obviously, it was either for loading up the wings of those P-51 Mustangs and the 47s, etc., or the nose of the P-38, or for throwing on board the bombers. Because again, the lightest weight possible, think about what they were doing. When they empty the can, it goes out the window, guys. It goes off the side next to the 50 cal, the waste gunner, and gets dropped on France or Germany. Not a big deal, lightweight thing anyway. But these are original marked, originally sealed, never opened since World War II. And I'm pretty sure this stuff came from Mexico. This company is down there in Phoenix, and there's a lot of Aguila stuff. And there's a lot of stuff like this that nobody else has. And I guarantee it's coming straight up the expressway from Mexico from the Federales. Not illegitimately. Somebody just, he's got a connection with them. Now the other thing that they do have that 50 cal is again pretty good prices all AP ammo bright and shiny They got some really good pictures of it there But if you're in Arizona and you're looking for 50 cal for your belt fed semi Or for your full auto if that's what you got well there you go. I wouldn't shoot it. That's AP You don't pull the trigger on that till we need it Especially since it's a solid belt of AP down. That's all it is So this was this was tank busting or this was ground busting is what this was for Otherwise it would be a 5 combination with a couple of two ball, incendiary tracer, AP and tracer. The combination is varied. When it is all AP this is for vehicle busting and hardpoint busting is what it was for. Just something to think about there guys. Really cool solution. They have at least 5 cases in stock. The way they are listing it here is in stock 5. Now normally they say there'd be more and they got a picture that shows they had at least a block of a dozen. So whatever they got, they got. Whatever's left, when it's gone, I'm pretty sure it's gone. You know what I mean? In other words, probably not going to see it again for a while, if ever. The other thing that they do have is 7.62x54R in the cans. Now, no, it's not as cheap as the other stuff we were talking about. But it is $225 for a full case of 880 rounds in the spam cans. It's one of the few places that actually has the ammo in stock. Now it's $225 if you go to pick it up. It's $265 if you want to have it delivered. But they do have it in stock. So there's a solution for a can. And it's one of the few places we found that actually had it in stock tonight. A lot of places were listed, but when you go to the listing, you'll notice that it's out of stock. The Russian may be gone, one or two places was pointed out, the Russian stuff was out of stock, but apparently there's another posting for some Bulgarian or vice versa, so check each one and scour through the site to see what they have. Now the other thing they've got at this location, for those of you who have those unique weapons that might take the 7.62x54R around, And this just slid on me. I hate this machine sometimes. I really do. There we go. 762x54R Tracer. This is brass case tracer rounds. They trace red and are manufactured in the US by Tragitec. They are loaded in pull down Russian brass cases. The primers are corrosive so clean your gun after shooting is recommended. The tracer does not harm your gun in any way. These trace out around 500 plus yards. Packed in 200 round boxes, or 200, forgive me, 20 round boxes and each case contains 500 rounds. 500 rounds of tracer and 7.62x54R for $345. That's if you go pick it up. $370 if you have them ship it to you. So you figure out if you think you need tracer. Again, it's not the highest priority right now. I'll be looking right now at most for the least. Most for the least. We know that two locations for sure have the 762x54 in the can. One is UNMO.com and the other is Sportsman's Guide. SportsmansGuide.com SportsmansGuide.com SportsmansGuide.com They say that they have it. Now the one, these guys are pretty cool. They've been keeping track and when they run out, they run out in the picture telling them it comes off the page and you don't have any confusion or wasted time. So that's the cool thing about UNAMMO.com. AMMOMAN.COM only has Silver Bear. They're out of everything else in 7.62x54R. So just a heads up here guys, Ukrainians aren't going to be selling ammo to us. I would point out that there's been a lot of Romanian stuff coming in. Well, the Romanian stuff is going to get cut off because you better go look at the map and see where Romania is in proportion to Ukraine and Russia. Yeah, Don knows it. Why would I bother shipping anything to America when I can drive it to the combatants over there? See what I mean? What do you mean? I would not see what he made. I'm stupid paperwork. I use it to wipe my butt with now. Why? I can sell ammunition to Ukraine all day. There's another factor that's involved too. When the war is right at your door, you'll pay almost anything for ammunition. You're experiencing that and we are not Ukraine. We're not even in a war. We're in the dagger war phase right now where everybody is prepping for what's coming. The other consideration too is remember Romania could get dragged into this just as quick. Bam. If they do, they're going to need every bullet they've got. They're not going to be moving it. That's the other thing to watch out. Watch how the carpet rolls up on this. The Russians have no respect for the Romanians. How many divisions did the Romanians put up to fight the Russians fighting with Germany? Oh yeah, remember it was the Romanians that were overrun. They weren't as heavily armored. And so it was the Romanians and the Italians that were picked out for the weak point in the line to encircle Stalingrad. And they decimated, they were not more decimated, they annihilated the units. The Romanians and the Russians, of course, well, and the other issue is the Romanians have always been border blockers. That's why they called them satellites. When the communists wanted to go east when they were being run by the Jewish mob, Romania was one of those countries that was in the way. They did get a communist puppet in charge in Romania in the early days, just before World War II. That's why everybody said, oh hell no, can't have that. They got rid of the communist who was in charge of Romania, kind of like a Precha Chesk you. There has been this ongoing battle there for years, but Romania is right there. Again, look at the naval operations. When they look at these maps, and you always show these maps, you don't even know television. Look, there is the Crimea, and there is the Ukraine, and they show you a little bit of Russia. Well, you need to back that up a bit, guys, because nobody is looking real close at the cities. But when you do, do like they do on the American maps. Color each of the nation states a different color. And that way you can get a better understanding. OK, there's Ukraine. Who's that country to the left of the Ukraine? Oh, that's Romania. And they're also on that puddle right there, too, that all those countries are attached. Let's see. There's Russia and the Crimea. There's the Ukraine and Romania. Wow, like they're right there in spittin' distance to everybody. Yeah, somebody lobs something the wrong way or decides to lob a little extra in the wrong way. Or maybe buys Romania. Maybe they prostitute Romania out and get him into it. I mean, it's as likely as not. The government is as corrupt as the day is long. The government was kicked out. Chachezki's government was kicked out. Some regular people got into Romania. After that, then a bunch of sows and pigs and international bankers killed and assassinated their way into power through the back door the way they always do. Romania has been sold out for the last five, six years. They've bought into the EUBS. They've lost their industry. They've lost their economy. They've already got screwed. So now they're basically got the population that really liking it, but they'll puppeteer them into dying for the cause, you see. Then you've got the Ukraine. Ukraine is smart. They shoot every international banker in sight. Anybody tries to land at the airport, hang them right there from a pole, and remind all of them that anybody show up to bother with the Ukraine, well, we'll kill all the whole batch of you. But instead, who's in charge? International shyster. Once that international banker plopped his arse into that chair, they were done. The only thing you can hope for is if everybody was smart, Ukraine goes to Ukraine, Crimea goes to the court with Russians, everybody is done. They are stirring the pot desperately and they have already been bought and paid for as prostitutes. It is finished. Unless they rise up right now and finish the revolt that they started, they haven't gained anything and they are not going to gain anything. In fact, Ukraine is going to become a wasteland. Next year we'll be shipping them food. It'll be just like what happened back when the communists were in charge the first time. And they keep doing this Nazi BS. No, it's the communists. The Jewish mob communists are in there, period. The only reason they're bringing the Nazi BS up? is because they want to kill off the opposition that would keep them from taking over the Ukraine. So right now they are into the early part of the Red Terror phase with a Jewish mob coming in and mucking with them there. We already know that they have stolen their gold. Apparently the argument is that 40 chests already left in Can but carried off by the kosher mafia so Ukraine's gold has already been stolen. Now, like I said before, gold, art treasures, industrial wealth. I guarantee that there's trucks leaving that country right now with as much of the heavy machinery as possible. Not the machinery, not the biggest, heaviest stuff, guys. Got to understand something. It ain't the razor, it's the blades. Machines will last for decades. In fact, for a century, some of the stuff that was built made back 50 years ago, it'll be good for another hundred years. But the components that have to be replaced are worth a fortune. especially if they were built before the China Sport junk came out. Everybody understand that? So it's the tooling heads, it's the tools themselves, the cutting surfaces, that stuff is being stolen and is in trucks and on trains leaving the Ukraine right now. They're screwed. By next year, they won't be able to feed themselves and you're going to be told that we've got to send food to the breadbasket of Europe. Otherwise, like slightly less than 100 years ago, Russia will starve the Ukrainians. Yeah. Well, they'll do it themselves. The problem is, if they, one way or another, it looks like what happened with Syria. You know what's going on with Syria. They stir the pot, they peed in everybody's pool there. Now they've got the situation they've got. And we already had them last year crying about, we need to send money to help out the Syrians that are revolting and send money and food to them. I'll give you a can of Spam. By the way, there's pork in it. Eat it or die. Take your pick. You know what I mean? I can send you 600,000 pork bellies. You guys need them? A couple tons of bacon. Yeah, bacon. We can send bacon. Can bacon. It's really affordable. Store's longer, too. Can bacon. Eat it or die. Take your pick. See what I mean? See what I mean? Yeah, we got eight pork bellies. Bacon. Lard. I might even have some wheat to throw in there. The grease will help to slide it through. What do you think? That will work out. Here in the US, you are going to see progressively that these featured countries, by the way they are already making noise about the Baltic States. Now let me point something else out here. How many of you in the last eight years have bought flinch-chester ammunition? or you bought other federal ammunition or you bought even from herders. Herders is an American company. But when you open the box you don't recognize the case because it doesn't make sense except that it's a Euro military round. Now, who are the people we've been giving the big contracts to for munitions so that we could cut up and destroy America's munitions capabilities? Well, we brought Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania, the Baltic states, in on the game. We've been using them as cheap mercenaries for the operations with regard to the clandestine support of all these dope runners like the Afghan dope trade, etc. But we've also been giving big contracts. The Iraqi army had billions of rounds of ammunition, billions and billions of rounds. We had to destroy that so we could buy brand new with American taxpayer dollars. But it didn't come from the US guys. The ammunition came from Yugoslavia slash Serbia. And it also has been coming from Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia. Do you remember that 308 ammunition I pointed out that was cheap that came in for a little bit that was from Latvia? White Box, 308 from AIM Surplus about three, four years ago. It was only about two or three years old at the time. Anybody remember that? Same is true with all of this, by the way, I'll point this out again, preview partisan. What does it say on the box? Made in Serbia or made in Lithuania? Depending upon which batch it is and what the caliber is. Well guys, again, if they start mixing the pot up here, the last of this more affordable or comparable quality ammunition, it ain't coming over here, number one. It serves two purposes. They can muck up and pilfer or get them to killing each other over there and cut off the supplies that people have been now so used to over here. Which is why anybody in the know is already grabbing this stuff. By the way, you'll notice that the one thing like I said, the 7.62x54 Ukrainian, it was all a little cheaper. That ain't around anywhere to be found right now, is it? search it out. There's a whole bunch of other places. We hit most of the big places already and they're gone. Now another thing that could happen, but I doubt, and although we are seeing a little bit of their production, is PMC. Now we could shift to the other part of the planet and be buying from the Koreans, but the Korean PMC ammo got pissed on back in the late 80s and early 90s. And at a certain point they blocked them from being brought into the country. Of course it was also the anti-gun wave in the middle 90s that hit. And so they were blocking this stuff in general because PMC was putting out the same stuff everybody else did. 30 out of 6, 308, 223, 762 by 39. All of it affordable and all of it boxer-primed reloadable. In fact, pretty much US spec ammunition. The only thing is that their cases are a little thinner. They've been stretching the penny a little farther, but not much. So, if you see any PMC brass, it's more than serviceable enough. Well, there's some PMC showing up. But I'm going to tell you right now, PMC cannot keep up with the load. They can't. Just that simple. They don't have the production spec to do it. It's like everybody, it's like, you know, we've got 10 companies bringing stuff in and building stuff, and all of a sudden you turn to this one guy over here, it's by himself, and say, do what they do. As much as they do. It ain't going to happen. It's just not going to happen. So, the only other option is little pockets like we're seeing now and like UN ammo, they're buying stuff from Mexico big time. I mean, I'm looking at some of the inventory. The only other interesting thing they've got there, and I'll get away from this company, they've got some 10mm auto special. It's an FBI overrun contract. It's 180 grain FMJ. It's 1,000 rounds for $485. It's white box federal and it's federal. It's not just federal ammo, it's fed ammo. They also have some 9mm, of course they do have some other better prices, but for those of you who say, I got a hell factory, they have some 9mm and they also have some .40 caliber. A lot of you guys have got the cop shop guns. Take a look at their prices on .40 caliber ammo. They do have some pretty good buys on some .40 cal and if you're close and you go pick it up, it's a better buy still. They do have a good quantity of 40 cal. They show that they have it in stock. They do have the truncated JFPs. There are several other loads available. Personally I just go with a standard flat face ball and be done with it. Again, for obvious reasons. But there are a number of options. You take a look at the price and figure out what fits your needs. The 40 caliber factory Trejitec. remanufactured once fired brass $345 for a thousand rounds. That's if you go pick it up. So anyway, there's a bunch of stuff out there. It's really cool. They're a unique company. They're buying it and bringing it right up the corridor from Mexico. They do have some 50 cal and they do have a lot of other stuff out there. Don, jump in there. Anything else you want to cover tonight, please? I'm sorry. Well, let's... Oh, no problem. Don't apologize, please. Let's run back to the fun of the hour and we've covered this before and we'll mix a couple other... We'll throw a couple other cards out with this deal. At the beginning of the hour, you hear the magazine go into the magazine well and the slide close, and you know that draws a cartridge, some call them bullets. You know, bullets are what go down range. Cartridges, you know, complete, you know, primer, brass powder and projectile. There's only one, three P's in a beat, at any rate. You hear all of that mechanical noise at the front. There's a reason for it. One might even call it saber rattling. I like that. At any rate, we've addressed this before, but let's bring out another card. Recently, and we've talked before about that young Afghani boy hand boring a 50 caliber barrel and it takes about a month. Now, it takes about a month to hand bore a 50 caliber barrel. attention to that's dedication. That's what that is. That's not even attention. That's dedication. Let's think about this. That same innovation might be the person, that person that is willing to do that. That spirit is willing to pick up empty 50 caliber brass. Now, it might be a little bit harder to find 50 caliber projectiles, you know, which went down range. You can pour them. You can send lead down your 50. We'd just advise you to keep the speeds down, otherwise it just starts to come apart in the air. It just starts to melt and that's not real good for accuracy. But if you want to send a slower speeding locomotive downrange, pour up about 800 grains of lead and send that downrange out of your 50. I would not want to catch that with 14 catcher's mitts. You know what I'm trying to say. Now, let's go back to bopping the Because you've heard that for years, and there's a reason why I hardly do that. That's not good for the extractor. That's not good for the brass. But if you know that right around the corner is the gunfight, you might as well put one in the chamber too. That was the reason for doing that, to have a loaded magazine complete top and one in the chamber rather quickly. Now you've heard it altered to the extent that, well, I'll fill the magazine well and touch the slide release and then drop the mag and top off the mag. While I'm doing that, I'm telling you, I do that because it's easier on the extractor. Now, one of the things that happens when there's already one in the chamber, that extractor has to kind of reach and force its way to the extractor rim on the case there. You know, that notch in the back of the bullet is all the way around, so it's not really a... a I have a machinist stone that is flat like a ruler. Only your school ruler has a convex side. It actually gets thicker toward the middle. This machinist stone is parallel and it looks like a ruler. If you take that bit of brass and lay that stone in that circumferential notch, the extractor groove, and turn that casing by hand, you will draw that burr or those multiple burrs off of that extractor rim. Now let's just clean up the case on the extractor end. Let's get really crazy here because here comes another one. What if you're dealt the card that you don't have any more bullets or you've got bullets that don't fit your gun Let's example this 7.62x5.4, the Russian. What is it, 5.2 for the American? Isn't it Mark? That's not going to go away. That's not going to chamber up into your gun, is it? If someone were capable of hand boring that dedicated a .50 caliber barrel, one might think that, well, if I can do that, I can build my bullets too. Now, what if you didn't have a press? And there's another card right there. There's a full deck and that's a crazy hand, ain't it? That's a hand you don't want to be dealt, but what if you didn't have a press? What if you came across a whole bunch of bullets that didn't fit your gun, but you know what? It's the same caliber, or it will squeeze down that barrel, but it's the brass that's the problem. But you have a whole bunch of brass from your gun because you've been keeping it. We've been telling you to save the brass for years, haven't you? Haven't we? Now we look at primers. What are we going to do about that? You know if you've got a press you can probably anneal that case and beat it and eventually get that longer case by running it into a resizing die over and over and slamming on it. Eventually you'll get that case to fit your gun. Either that or you'll break the case or away. More on that later. Even if you don't have ... You guys, these are things that you mentioned earlier and we've talked as of late greatly on using your imagination. How would you build a bullet if you didn't have a press? I can think of a whole bunch of different things to do. Some of them will just seem completely goofy. Let me say that for the completely goofy, because man we've been dealt this bad hand. I walked up 50 caliber world championships. I won't mention any names. Maybe he's listening, maybe not. But there was a gentleman sitting in the cab of his pickup truck. I had already talked to him earlier in the day. The front seat of that pickup truck was occupied by him, his wife, and a small stack of 50 caliber empty brass. He had in his hand a hammer. I do not want to imagine what he was doing. There was no press in the front. It was a small brass hammer. It wasn't a big carpenter's hammer. It was a small brass hammer. I don't want to imagine what he was doing with that hammer and all that empty brass in the front seat of his pickup truck. Somehow he was reloading. I walked away. I didn't want to gain his seat there. Maybe he was because when people do things that aren't normal, that aren't in the mainstream, hey, maybe that guy was there and maybe that's what he had to do. And this is the point here. Maybe that's what he had to do to shoot the next round. But you know what? The bottom line is, and I already said it, he was there as an old It almost looks like one of the credit card machines from a long time ago. You lay the credit card in there and the paper down and you slap that thing back and forth across it and it takes an imprint of the credit card. There are presses like that for printing. You make an individual bumper sticker one at a time or an individual little flyer one at a time. Then you pass them out. These made bunches of little dinky bumper stickers or stickers that one might stick on their motorcycle helmet apply to their motorcycle helmet like save your brass or buy more bullets. But when you think that, I know why I told you about this, another one that he made, another stick was showing up is 90% of life. Now that's so simple and so concise. One might even consider it showing up is 90% of life. That in mind, we're beyond playing with that deck of cards now you guys. You understand that, right? That guy loading in the front seat of his pickup truck without a rock chucker, without that horn a day, big beautiful presses, or a five index. I can't remember what the manufacturer's name of that is. When you press it down and so many things are happening at one time, you just almost get dizzy trying to remember what's going on. Do you load bullets without that? Just a thought. There's got to be ways to get there, you guys. Think about it. If you came across tubing. We've talked about different ways to, and I know this is going to be brass against copper. Even copper tubing, if one had a month hand bore a 50 caliber barrel, I'm certain when you're done with that you've got a little time on your hands. You take a couple pieces of copper tubing, it would be better with steel, but man where are you going to find some steel tubing? You might be lucky just to find the copper. But if you can find steel, Cut that into sections. Cut one down the length of the tube so that the outer diameter of it might be made smaller to be inserted into one of the existing pieces of steel until you have a narrow enough piece that you might have to touch it with a stone or a file and you've captured the other end as making a bottom to that tube so that when you beat that brass into it, oh my. Use your imagination. How are you going to put primers in? How are you going to extract a primer from that case that you can't use and have it live? These are things that you need to be thinking about because it's like you've been dealt this hand and you're going to have to play with the cards you've got. I'm paraphrasing a man who called in a week and a half ago talking about We do wonders with what we've got. We know what we've got. I don't remember exactly what he said, but we can only work with what we've got. It was something along those lines, but at that time, I said, man, we need to point that out. That's a thought line that needs to be commended. Using your imagination isn't just, how can I get over to that tree? How can I get him to stick his head up like a turkey? I saw that in a movie. You know where I'm going? But again, You're going to have to find solutions for all kinds of things that we do now and take for granted. Hey guys. Hey, what you got going? Can you help me out? I got some ammo, 30 out of 6, and it's got a stamping on it I've never seen before. It's got four letters on there, two numbers and two letters. TW53. Twin Cities, 53. Is that hand loaded casing or is that a brand new? No, it's government arsenal. It's Wind Cities, 1953, end of Korean War. Okay, it's got green primer on the green, blacker on the primer and it's been, yeah. So this is government ammo then, huh? Right, it's ball ammunition, right? Full chopper jacket? It looks like it's, no, yeah, 22. Yeah, it should be in 20 round boxes, although it can be in volume cans. I didn't have it in a box, these are in cans, just coffee cans. Oh cool! Somebody getting rid of something? Oh yeah, I came across it. Okay, well good, good. Don't see more, I would switch over. Yeah, then I have some. Did Winchester make Sabo loads for market for the 33? Oh, I don't know about Winchester, but Remington for sure, why? You got some 30-30 that's Sabo... Sabo'd it down to like 20 caliber with... Well, it should be 2023. It should be 223. It's probably what it is. I mean, 223, 22. A metal jacket, yeah. Looks like it's factory round. Doesn't look like it's handled to me. I mean, no. Looks too perfect. It's a 3030 load? Yeah, RP, RP Winchester. Remington Peters, it's Remington. Yeah, RP. Oh, okay, okay. That's Remington probably from the 77 or around 81. The first loads, although they didn't do 30-30 right away, that's what I'm thinking more likely it's a second wave. When they first came out with it, it was in .308, .30-06. But 30-30, the thing is, is that a Spire Bullet? What does a bullet look like? It's a soft point, very pointy with that metal jacket. Because you've got to be cautious with Sabo with the 30-30 because you don't want the SpirePoint brass or copper jacket facing onto the next primer. When you put pressure on a lever action, remember the magazine spring compresses and then slaps the round's back. You don't see it, but it happens to a degree. If there's enough energy and recoil, remember that works like a whole line of firecrackers. Well, that's why I like a 33. You don't have to load the magazine, just single shot it. Well, you can do a single shot, but that's what I would, again, if it's a lead bullet. We're getting close to the top here. Let me ask you a question. How many of them do you have? Oh, they came in that can with the 36, about seven or eight of them. Oh, that's almost the, it's going to print different. It's going to have a different point of impact. But it's going to be hot. Yeah. Yeah, it's going to be just war like downrange. Yeah, those were designed to do about 3,000 feet per second. I don't want to shoot. Now, the point is here, don't move it. You've only got seven of them. You can use those at 100 or 200 yards and you're still not certain of your point of impact unless you shoot two or three of them. Oh great, I have to do that. Same for a mission where you know you want something that's going to make the 30-30 like a ray gun. But be certain of your point of impact. You're going to have to shoot a couple of them and be careful. If you only shoot two, make a whole lot of notes. I'll put up a big target. I'll put up a 10x10 target. There you go. You'll be certain not to miss. Yeah, exactly. I'm gonna go out about that fire and just shoot at it. That's a plywood one. Well, I won't even say... You can't get that ammo anymore? I would save it back, though. I mean, I really wouldn't... I'd use it for closer-in shooting because, again, for penetration, it's gonna do some damage. Oh, it'll work. Oh, yeah. The man who... Fabric body armor. Yeah. That's why I would save that back for special work. Okay, good. Otherwise, it's again, you're you've got heavier stuff for greater range. That would be your best choice. We are the top. I hear the music. Don your number for night vision and you'll be available in just a minute. That number is 2317968458. 2317968458. Very good, God bless the Republic. Death to the New World Order. We shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen. The Empire is on the run. But we are on the march both day and night. U-Rock, keep them in the flat, speed them down so hard they don't ever want to get up and they'll wish they never came here. It's like it says in the song. Remember, we're going to get them all. Not in your number for night vision and closes, please. It is 2317968458. Thank you, Mark. God bless you. God bless you, America.
