stating where you were born and who your parents were. We don't offer a woman's birth certificate to reflect her new surname when she marries, because the name change happened years later. We handle this through a new ID, and we can do the same for people who claim a new gender. It's been suggested that a birth certificate that disagrees with a more recent ID could out a transgender person who wants to keep his sex change a secret. But we shouldn't have to falsify historical legal records to help people keep secrets. The Democratic senators sponsored this bill said that transgender people's birth certificates should reflect who they are mentally and spiritually. But how you feel about yourself has really nothing to do with the accuracy of your birth certificate. He also said it was their certificate and their choice. But I don't think we should have a choice about whether our legal records are accurate. In addition to creating a legal mess, this bill is really silly. I hope Governor Chris Christie uses his veto pen to save New Jersey from this embarrassment. The gay lobby is active in every venue, including the courts and the legislatures and also the public schools. So look out, we have to be on guard. This has been the Pillow Schlafly Report from Eagle Forum. Whether the topic is health care, education, election reform, taxes, or protection of a family, your local state legislators need to hear from you. At EagleForum.org, join the blog conversation with Phyllis Schlafly and you'll better understand the hot issues in your state. That's at EagleForum.org. Thanks for listening, and join us again next time for the Phyllis Schlafly Report. We fought a revolution for liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we secured for you should always keep. You're enslaved endlessly while your parents were. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost. You're no more than a slave. Envist the land of the free. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate and your Christian values can't use an regulated press Pay attacks you do not owe to please the IRS Your money is no longer made of silver nor gold You trade too well for paper so your life can be controlled You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame You take a You've given government control to those who do you harm, so they could burn down churches and seize the family harm. Keep our country deep in debt. Send a gun to God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts pervade. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters send artillery and guns to foreign shores. And send your sons to the slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedom for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Arise, take a stand. End the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land. Preserve our great republic and each god given right. I awoke he vanished in the midst. His words were true. We are free, but we have ourselves to blame. Or even now as tyrants trample each god given right. We watch and tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer? He called out from the grave. Hi, good morning. This is Matt in Austin, Texas. It's good to talk to you again. I heard you talking in the last segment and a cool product out there that they sell at Home Depot, Made in America. It's a thing called Gear Ties. You know, the idea is they're around forever, but these are really good. They're just wire covered in rubber, but why they're good is because they straighten back out. whatever and you can see that they come in black so you can pass them to your mall gear or mall gear or whatever and they come in different sizes too so if you have like a whole bunch of them I mean if you broke like a shoelace or whatever you want to do with these things you could put together your radio headset or whatever I mean there's a million things you could do with these things and they're fantastic and cheap. Something that they're really handy for and thank you for bringing that up in zip ties or whatever if you're I know this is a side subject, but remember you mentioned boot laces, for instance? If you're hasty and you had to try to put a pair of boots back together, let's say that, you know, most common as a prisoner is to either take your shoes, you take your boots, or they at least take your boot laces. You ever tried to run with boots, you can't lace. What you do is incorporate into your pockets your gear, your material, items like this. Lip ties or gear ties or even just pieces of string. And in the moment it takes for you to put one or two of those into the boot laces and cross them, well that's the difference between sloshing along, sliding, trying to keep your boots on, and be able to put some miles. Appreciate for bringing it up. Go ahead. Yeah, you know, I've been listening for a year now, and I listen in the morning and in the afternoons, and I love the show. You know, last week I heard you and Don talking about very elementary tactical maneuvers. You know, for somebody like myself who's not, you know, just has no military background, I found it fascinating. I mean, I think that would be a great segment once a week. Like, just elementary, 101 stuff. Like, for people like myself, because I'm sure there's a bunch of people writing me out there that don't know what to do, don't understand, like, a lot of stuff. And it just really was good. Actually, another comment, too, and I was like, you can't text that one. Over this past year, I've heard you come up with, and you'll just... I'm like on the spot now, so I'm just like kind of slipping my mind. Like this little ideas, like you were talking about transmission cherry juice, like a recipe for it. Then you were talking about like cutting holes and pipes. So it's like a, you know, potholes, like silly little stuff like that. And not silly, but you know, just little tidbits. You should write all that down and make like a, a militia man's almanac. Just little one paragraph things. And maybe draw like a picture with rock. I know what you mean. Well, you know, So on that note, we should reinforce what you were talking about here. It's called a blood flute. Also again, if you have pipe or if you're using something you maybe do like a lot of people think about using or creating break off punji things. You can use half inch PVC pipe cut at an angle. What you want to do is take a drill and drill into the channel. Now you don't want to make it swish but you want to create those holes. Traditionally if you were hunting boar, then you always see these people using spears. Traditionally for boar hunting you wouldn't necessarily do that if you've got the technology What you do is create a blood plume you actually the the spike that's used When you jam it in it creates a blood or wound channel. That's the idea behind that Depends on which societies where you are bamboo makes that a very convenient process You don't have nothing natural you can handle a lot of stress if you've got nothing on your hands and you're sitting on a Polynesian beach I think you have plenty time to think about working that scroll through the bamboo sidewall and creating the holes you need to create. So, that's our motivation. Well, we've actually been working on something like that for a while because, you know, we do have a lot of different things that we've developed, perfected, or learned over the years and we, I won't say take it, but there's so many things, if you're in the field, you have to teach them second nature. It's like what I've talked about before about SOP. We do have an SOP manual for the militia. It's more or less in the basic venue of a lot of the material that a lot of you soldiers have, you know, over the years. There's another piece that we're kind of doing that's a quarter-page pocket, kind of in line with what you're talking about. It's similar to the one that was done during Vietnam, which we've also distributed to the trade. It is something that needs to be done. Well, excellent. I really enjoyed the show. A lot of good information. More tactical stuff would be fantastic just because I'm a novice and I find it fascinating. But I'll let you go and let somebody else come up and keep up the good work. Thank you, sir. Appreciate the input. Again, thank you, I'm going to gear-size it for actually, that's one of those that he goes, I'm sorting it out right now. I can't show it to you on the phone guys, but I can. This is made in 12 ounce pop cans. Now you got small cans actually. There are half-sized aluminum pop cans right now that are being made. You notice this, they're like half ounces. Those are very short cans, but what's really neat, and you can make a nice little throwaway. I mean, but they're in the arms. I mean, number one, they'll last longer, readily available. There's lots of these cans. Don't use the ones you get deposits on, use the ones you don't. Find the cans that are being tossed. And by the way, I'd hang on to as many of the older cans as you can because the newer cans are becoming even thinner. Which was made a few years ago. The can that I bought yesterday at some, you know, the ice key was like on sale for $15. The first thing I noticed is the lack of strength and durability of the of the can. The penny even farther. You know, the two rabbis are pulling the air out even farther and making tinier gauge. My penny! No, it's my penny! Look, they're making telephone wire again. All you do is throw a penny out between the two rabbis and tell them First come, first serve. Nice mine, nice mine, nice mine. Listen, I'm telling you. And then the pulling begins. Anyway, in the little grab kit, for instance, right here in front of me for a process is a whole lot of money if you still get bread wrap ties. Save those. I'm holding about three eight inch to ten inch pieces of paracord, but this is not the paracord you buy in the store. This is survival cord that comes out of the pressure suits for jet pilot pressure suits, guys. Everything that they carry, they're taught to use. Well, the cool thing is there's hundreds of feet of this cord because this is what they use to cinch up the pressure suits that you don't see. They're underneath everything. You see the flight suit, but you don't see the pressure suit. Let's do a little research on YouTube. You'll see some of the ideas and concepts of how things work. The cord is as fact as strong if not stronger than the average paracord that you have. The much tinier gauge. Very handy for all kinds of things to include. I have a longer piece the way I have several. I have smaller pieces where something was cut off militarized. Small pieces are saved and they become part of the utility back kit. Another thing, paper clips. Paper clips are your friend. You can get them for free. Put a handful of those, 15 of those into the kit. Take your safety pin. Grab any of these safety pins where you're getting stuff back from the getting back stuff from the dry cleaners. Save them up. You can buy them, you can buy a big bag of them for a dollar. Buy a bag for a dollar if you want to. But I remember that a lot of the stuff you've got, especially when you find old clothes, those safety pins that are older are American made and they're much tough deal in general. Save them up with that. In addition, in the tuna can we've got then a handful of rubber bands, two or three nails. Yes, one is a fish nail, one is a spike. P-38 can opener. The P-38 can't openers, guys, real ones. If you can find a place that still sells from 500 to a case, I would recommend buying a case. There are leftovers from Vietnam and just after the Vietnam era when C-rations were still being issued. You grab the P-38s from the era because those were military made by a number of different companies. Those are American carbon steel. The one that I have in my hand here I've had probably of 1975, this particular one, like my one I carry on my dog tags, want to have them in my tags and want to have them in my wallet, from the fall of 1975. This particular one and the other, although I probably got them back just the day before the Edmund Fitzgerald went down because when we were in the back, other items to include a utility toolkit, fixture systems guys, buy a glass and put it in. The obvious, if you're wearing glasses, make sure that the stuff matches up. You need to repair the glasses. Now I'm going to give you an example, I just dropped a screw here. It's not going to put it back in the kit because I opened it up. But anyway, with all of the other, you know, tidbits, tidbits attached, these go into kind of like the equivalent to a bat belt around your person. Another one by just being pay fined. For instance, the pressure line, I've got this stuff in place guys and I find more in a box where I've, you know, like what I do is I cannibalize the stuff, junk junk, and save all the stuff that a lining cable that goes now into the can, we're doing right now. Another thing that is very handy, and to give you an idea of what I'm talking about, fly line, fishing fly line. Get a roll of that. A very different kind of line designed for a very different kind of fishing. It costs more, but it is very handy and it's durable. It lasts for a long time. If you find somebody has cut something up and you see this stuff, If you see small quantities of it, save it. I've got a small handful of it right here. That's going to be rolled up and that'll be stored in the bat kit. Now between all these items, there's anything I can't make. By the way, there's other things in the field. Example is cartridge case. A 7.62x54R case becomes a really nice tool. The edge of the case that's steel can actually be used as a little bit of a screw. Or as a weight durable. This particular one is from Vietnam era. Back in the day, guys, somebody In addition to all of these items, little ziplock bags, watch for those from industrial sites. Sewing kits, they're not as common as they used to be and they're not as nice as they used to be. If you can find a real military sewing kit, try to get people to buy cases of them. Again, buy quantities of sewing needles. You're not going to be out of pennies. If you drop it, people lose it. Of course, you might find that later with their foot, things break, especially fine items break when they're not as well made as they used to be. Last of the Solingen needles that came into surplus from the German Army years ago. I bought thousands and thousands of the packs. I'll tell you a real good container for that are 35 millimeter film containers obviously. They're watertight. But the other option is just to have a container. Remember all the Mento and little metal tins. Well if you see those, grab those little metal tins. They're actually, they're video sites on YouTube. All kinds of projects with all these little tins. By name brand. In fact How many things can we make one of these little tins out of? Well, these spray paint from the dollar store and put a tactical or a dark color so it's not red and white or... And then zip a bag, all the little items up, put them inside that armored shell can. Pocket, congratulations, you've now got another part of your kit square. All of this can be done from throwaway stuff. I love recycled bins. Recycled bins, somebody else has done all the, you know, not necessarily the sorting, but at least basically the stuff is all in one place. They wash it or clean it out to begin with so you can find small containers of all kinds, shapes, sizes, and variants. You can't beat them, especially since you get mold. I got a bunch of water, small ones, tiny, tiny ones, projects. They're also going to be handy for medical support, for saline ones, stuff like that. This is for irrigation. You just, or flood. You don't want a big, big container. You don't want to waste that much. Just things that can be done that are taken a little bit of time, a little bit of thought process. bargain basement. You save money there, then you can spend the other money you have saved up on the real critical stuff like arms and ammunition that everybody wants to hear about. Which is a fact, it's true. Prior proper planning prevents piss poor performance, take advantage of the dollar stores while they're there, use the dollar stores on our enemy not for frivolous purposes, properly deal with parrot. I mentioned again, Q-tips, I can't emphasize those enough. Q-tips, if you're a radio operator, guys, you've got to keep things clean. It's called detailing. When you do detailing, if you're a car, if you do car work, if you do any kind of restoration, detailing, jute, all those things are throw away and you're going to constantly be using. One of the reasons, remember moisture. Moisture is the biggest enemy of electronics. When you're signed with moisture, it creates mud. Mud gets into locations where it shouldn't be or where, again, a transfer device, we know moisture creates a commutation device for the mud or the dust or the dust of ages. You don't want it and it can either cause oxidation or it can create a blockage. And we don't want that in either case. This is why we're talking about using the balloons and psoriasis, subdue if you can get dark, but sometimes clear is more reflective. Obviously plastic is reflective in general, always remember that. You can get saran wrap in color, you know that? You can even get it in like a smoke, which is kind of a good choice. You know, almost like a smoke. Hey, that's kind of what applies to our operations. So just something to think about there when you're buying it. If you can get it, you look at it and go, wow, color is the same price as clear. color would suit my purpose. Probably not red, no I don't need yellow, but yeah the blue or dark blue or the green, that's better than, okay. Anything that says subdue colors, based on what are the small tools, yes universal tools, in fact, hold on here let's see if you can hear what I'm going to do. I probably heard that Velcro, within reach of the right, and I'm very patient, you know what I got this one in yard sale. The only thing that was There's a lanyard on this particular one and the lanyard's not there and I don't care. Otherwise, this has everything that I need to do a lot of different jobs. Little saw, little poke, little cutting blade, can opener. It doesn't have a wind screw but does have, in fact, it has a nice little rasp file on it. Light screwdriver is two sizes, leather punch, own another blade, and don't forget needle nose pliers. With a cutting blade for doing between that and one other combat kit, with most problems. in the field. Now I would point out something for all you AR-15 gunners, for all you guys that have AR-15s, are Leatherman tools and universal tools that are designed for every part of your rifle. We saved you money in one direction, you built up your own, we found you a better price, I mean you made the right decisions. So we don't ding up the need, we don't mess up the pin points, so we don't jack anything that's got a screw head on it. Guys, use the right tool for the job. and somebody who built an air for maintenance will idea. Some kind, yeah, there's a couple different variations I've carried, but I carry this, usually the electrical. This one has the needle nose. The only other thing I might do is carry a sock, you know, in other words, a regular lock, you know, a lot of locking device for the four year off if need be. Hopefully you're not gonna bust them off, but you know what, assume the worst, you won't be disappointed. I'm always saying that kind of luck. Yeah, I'm just gonna add a little more pressure and snap. It was on there better than we all expected. Now I'm gonna have to really do some work. And so again, let's try to avoid that again before we do the breaky part. Let's make sure we use the right tools in the process. So again, the Leatherman utility tools. Now somebody's going to ask, well, Mark, what about the cheapy ones? Yep. Those are the ones when they used to be like $2 and $3 at big lots. Now they're charging $50 for that model. Your dollar's worth. Years ago, those were the universal tools made overseas. And I'm going to tell you something. I have beat the snot out of several of those. I mean used them up got them stationed all over the place and I can my gear and stuff like yeah I carry one one of the cheapie Chinese ones from years ago But it was all solid steel is when they were trying to mimic this Leatherman I have in my hand and The quality is reasonable enough. It's low low end, but if that's what you can afford. That's what you get right away Get it put it in the gear and you've got it now as you upgrade guess what the one that you bought first It was cheaper that one can go into your reserve equipment guys That goes into your 5-10 program so that Fred, who shows up bare naked, no he doesn't have the best, but you know what? He's in the same boat you were when you started out. At least he's got something. Oh that works out okay. I think I hear the music. I know I do. Well grab that cup of coffee, smell, taste... So with Germany, Germany goes east and the west does France and England. While Germany implemented the Berskrieg, the British and the French implemented what was the Sitz. Anybody remember that? They watched. But what the Poles didn't realize is so-called their buddy Stalin over on the... Not been able to take Poland in three attempted invasions. Suddenly got half of the invasion risk. What happened at the beginning of World War II. Now, this I wouldn't doubt it. It would be very hard for them in all the fabri- like that. Why would the Russians bother? On one hand, of course, the Amer- now the West, pleased with unmarked planes and torpedo boats, first bombing attack an American ship, come up and machine gun the lifeboat, everything they can to kill every American on board. The Israelis, growers on end, the comments, he wants the captain and the crew did their job, and that's what's happening right now in the Paris office. They can get the idiot goy off while they step back with each other. Ukraine is a good man. There's a blast of steel over there. I want to just come over and look at the gold I have in my deposit. Yeah. Oh You can't do that. You can look at the gold in between different colors. It's an insult that you would want to look at the gold your gold in my bank. No way can you do that. Oh, yes insulting me. I still want to see my gold. No, you're being anti-semantic. Oh, oh, oh, I'm telling you what they're doing right now. and you've got problems and they just happen to be Jewish. So I'm a little confused. It's like everybody else pretty well has an understanding of what their family is. But it's always concealed because you and I aren't supposed to pay attention to stuff like that. And if we say anything, it's anti-sevanticism. No, it's understanding who the tribes are involved here. And there are many different tribes. But understand that that particular tribe seems to be where all the dirty, sputum-stension filthy. Yep, and they're always in the middle of the chen. We had a call. The microphone's a little bit, there we go, jump in there sir. Or a man. Bill from Texas. Go ahead Bill, what do you got? You know, different people have been talking about how schools are like police compounds. Austin Community Colleges, you know, they build a new one and then we put in the AV. And all the new ACCs for the last quite a few years, they all have a police station inside. Zillions of, you know, going down there and so, you know, we're saying like a prison. They're inside. all day long. Also they're running a check on them while they're coming in and going, oh, we can look like the police officers and make grounding points. Someday I can be with Homeland Security. I'm a wannabe. I can picture that. I really can. And just a note on that snap move. This is the one you were talking about. My editing computer was dead. Somebody put on a really nice shortwave radio multiband cleaner and then lubricant and then same thing for the potentiometers. And that PC I hadn't used in like almost a year. the one I do my video stuff on, hard air, every connector. You're actually right, that's what I was meant to say, your water and dirt is not your friend no matter what with electronics guys and again the dust of ages, just what's in the air. Some air sometimes you got more than others, electrical, the field, the electrical field stuff in on top of everything else, you've got a little moisture, you've got rain or moisture in the air because it's raining outside, collects and it cements onto things. to create oxidation. It's gunk build up and once it starts it's like carbon on a rifle. Carbon attracts to the carbon and builds up more and more and more and then eventually that little switch or that little toggle or that little dial hooking up with what it's supposed to. Like you said, so cleaning everything up is before you do any major excavations, here's the best way to describe it guys. You want to basically do a survey by cleaning everything up and doing a detailed job on everything and that right off the bat then do system test. Easily enough you go, wow, the power light's back on. I can read the dial on the spinner there. Oh, it works. Not like that, but, I get sound. Good point. It needs to be made. We emphasize PM, and ongoing preventing maintenance and general maintenance as needed. Using it, the moment we take it out of the wrapper, something's heading towards it to try and collect to it. Moisture, dust, being in the field, more dirt, walking through slops, dirt, more muck and god knows what made up the muck and that's all a fine fine fine dirt slash silt. In fact, Iraq, you're seeing this. You know what, you can drive a five ton truck all day and then they get the rainy season. Seen picture after picture of maybe your cousin or your brother or your sister-in-law. They're standing next to their five ton or ten ton truck sunk up to the frame. They've been driving on it now that the moisture's there, the sand is the dust ages. It gets into everything and it's like emery cloth. It's true here. Even mud, you know, Bill has the one thing. Everybody thinks, well it's muck, it's mud. Guys, muck and mud is ultra-fine detritus and sand and earth. And abrasive. Yeah, and it's abrasive, exactly. And that is going to break down material. If you create better barriers beforehand, think ahead, you can reduce or neutralize most of that wear and tear. That's the big thing. So cleaning, and cleaning. Once you do have something happen, Well, this is another point. Anybody who's a fighter knows that you come in, you load up and you all what we call personal maintenance. Are my canteens filled? Are my batteries changed? Radio operators get an extra shopping list because the moment you stop, if you've been out in the field like with the old PRC-77s, bare-rated batteries. Now you don't leave batteries behind. You want to know why you don't leave batteries behind in the field if you're fighting an improvised warfare aggressor. Any electrical power can be used to set off explosives. batteries? Well maybe one cell in those big old PRC-77 batteries went dead. Carry the batteries out that you behind anyway to be seen. Exactly. You want to appear as if you were never there. You leave nothing. You carry everything out or you cat hole and you bury it. Leave behind that can be improvised. Even see ration cams. Cams can be made into grenades, guys. Everybody did it World War I, World War II, and people forget that. More modern times. Mr. Can is your very friendly tool. Well the factory had a kit. Oh yeah, World War I. Yeah, the French tomato grenades. They send the stewed tomatoes to the front, put up the cans, eat the stewed tomatoes, save the cans, and then turn around like you said, and they had a kit that they set forward and you took the cans and converted them into grenades. all on the front guys didn't come from the factory there the kids came from the factory exactly well the thing is again with radio operators you change everything out you clean everything up you don't go and rest until everything is combat ready always remember that soon can you expect an attack 24-7 you come back out of the field the first thing you do is you go to any ammo support you go to your your your depot you pull ammo and you top everything off if you're a radio operator your weapons and ammunition, your fragmentation, your illumination, and all of that, then you get to go to the other site, the other shed, the other tent. You're going over all of your radio equipment. Something didn't work right that could have gotten you killed. That gets changed out immediately. Batteries get surrendered. Four may have somebody doing something else with the batteries, like creating improvised munitions at your end, and so that they're handed back to the opto, a test, a bench man. And he tests the batteries to see how much life is left in them. And if he has been created, he might be able to push us back into a solar charger and things of that nature. He can trickle charge back in. He's got to be careful because those batteries will blow. Obviously, we don't want to create any gunk problems or casualties. The idea behind it is that you change out the batteries, you check your mics, you check your antennas. This is needed for repair purposes. Return those for repair. Get the ones that have been fixed up or that are the new ones that are going to go filled with it the next time, but that next time could be five minutes after you've changed everything out and put everything back right. There's an old trick I learned from a manufacturer that I worked at. We're sending to high humidity areas. They did stuff that a lot of government used. Oh yeah, exactly. They're military and they sprayed it like a waterproof lacquer or varnish. The high voltage section, but they would spray the board. The idea, which was probably the two, is well, I could use this on my connectors outside. You just give it a quick drive and it's clean. Yeah, and normally if you're working with equipment, you take a piece apart, you'll DC that to everything. It has like, well, why did they do that? Well, you explained, for everybody out there listening, that's why that was the purpose. The idea is that where you have connections, when you solder on a board, although you should get a clean run through the board, always happen that way. You end up with areas where the wire occupies the space for the component, resistor, transistor. You will have a spot where you can actually have a nest. for water to go or moisture to find, it will find it. It will follow the path of least resistance and it's also applied to the idea that gravity sucks. Your solder point or that fixture point is like a cup. In the way of even moisture in the air, we'll collect to those points. And actually there's all kinds of other clear, Krylon makes a number of different clear paints here in any of the standard formulas. But another option is one of those things you can do. Appreciate it. Good point. Keep going. Keep going. It's a good work, guys. I got to run. Thank you for bringing those points up, sir. I appreciate that. And that was Bill from Texas.
