Summary
Mark Koernke and Don Betcher discussed preparedness, food storage, and community organization on March 18, 2014. The show opened with an extended metaphor about inverted prisms and perception, arguing that many Americans have become accustomed to an upside-down reality without recognizing it. The hosts emphasized the critical importance of food storage over ammunition, warning that hunger is a more immediate threat than combat and can drive desperate behavior. They discussed growing food through gardening, foraging wild edibles like nettles and cattails, and making maple syrup. Don promoted night vision technology, and the show concluded with reminders about preparedness and community defense.

A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, We fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. And keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. and your daughters visit doctors so their children will be put. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Oh, sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God, keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each God-given right, we only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Is this still the land of the free and home of the brave? Afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. This is the first hour of the afternoon intelligence report. I'm Mark Krunke. And I'm Don Betcher. One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters, both on and behind the lines in occupied territories west, southwest, east, and north. Well, ladies and gentlemen, you're listening to us on Liberty Tree Radio dot 4 mg dot com. We're on AM and FM micro stations, CB base stations, and ultra net technologies east and west of the Mississippi along with Alaska. We're on the Hallmark Network on Eastern Seaboard from the top of Maine to the bottom of Florida, from the bottom of Florida across the arc of the Gulf of Mexico headed to Louisiana. Mississippi, Texas, Oklahoma, big chunk of Nebraska, a whole bunch of Wyoming to include both the 3rd and 5th of it and our friends in the recall state of Colorado. Waving the left coast where we have our friends out there in the great state of Jefferson doing their part to support our effort and cause across the board. I want to say thank you, keep up the good work there. Also the rest of our friends organizing Army, equipping and training as militia in the SSDs, the occupied Soviet Socialist democracy such as the CSSD and of course the OSSD and the WSSD. Well, turning back to the east away from those Soviet socialist cesspits. We sweep across the plains, leap over the burgeoning banks of the Mississippi, and land in the smokies slash the Blue Ridge, where the restaurant crews, grandma teams, okay teams, and the Ma Bell Grammar Consortium of retired telecommunications workers bring us the gold in the spike. Many hands make the light work. A million petticoat junction operators. The ability to continue to function when everything else is offline. Well, Don, it has been a beautiful winter day today. Now, don't go out without a coat. But we've had a bunch of fun. You know, it's winter wonderland. We've had a bunch of fun. And we have had a gentle breeze taking all of this melt and picking the moisture up and sending it to our friends in Canada. All kinds of good stuff has been happening today. We know where it's going. Anyway, or maybe to Pennsylvania, we can't say that. It could go right across Lake Erie, right up Lake, down Lake Erie, down to St. Lawrence, and end up over there in Cleveland. We pity the people there, but what the heck? It's what happens this time of year. As it is, lots of moisture. Got a bunch of the greenhouse stuff done today, Don, but what's it like in your neck of the woods first, and what's the date today? The market is the 18th day of March. Man, we're more than, we passed them, I had to march there, didn't we? It's a beautiful day here. It could be a little warmer. It got into the low 40s, I'm told. We're below average, but hey, it could be a little warmer. I'll stand on that. Beautiful day though. Again, 18 March 2014, year of our Lord 2014. It's Communications Tuesday, you guys. I kind of got this tossed together here a little bit. We've run with this theme over the years once or twice, but we haven't brought this one back to the hour in a good long time. Earlier in the day it was remarked, Mark, that even our boots, you go into a nice sporting goods store and buy a nice pair of weather boots, something that you'd wade through the snow or even step into a creek bed with ankle, maybe a little bit higher deep. Even the boots we wear today would be envied by the colonists. We talked about that. That's been brought to the hour. But another thing that's been brought to the hour a long, long time ago and touched on kind of sideways every now and then, imagine you're that guy, what was his name? I know his name. What was his name that took two curved pieces of glass and held them at just the right and looked through them and noticed that things far away looked a lot closer. It's magic they've gotten closer quick stab them with the spear. Oh wait a minute. Throw a rock at them at least. Now today you guys we can bring up some optics and we've talked about this on Weapons Wednesday that You crank up the magnification and it almost looks as if you can reach down and pick up a pebble beside the gun and just toss it out there and hit that foot by six foot target, that military target. With the pebble you've tossed underhand, a thousand yards away. That's kind of deceiving, isn't it? But it works to our advantage. That's why it's in that particular place, that certain application. You know, your gun sight, your glass on top of your gun. Your telescopic sight. That's what they used to call them a long time ago. We started, we, I mean as a people, when those people started to play with light, you know, bending it, that's what you're doing with a lens, you're bending light. And then you bend it another way and pretty soon, man, look how close that is. And they looked at stars and they looked at all kinds of things and someone else, even before that, had cast glass into a pyramid and made it three-dimensional, you know, lengthwise. Now it is a prism. Now we know what a prism does to light. You know, you shine the light through a prism just the right way and you let the light shine onto a play card, a white card, the wall, or depending on how much light you've got, how far away it is, it'll break it up into the color spectrum. We've seen, you know that. That's basic from, you know, seventh, eighth grade. But you know, one of the guys, I don't remember his name, Mark, but he started playing with lenses and prisms and things. Oh, before I get to that, did you know that when the British marched out of New York, some say they played The Girl I Left Behind, which is a rather, it's a lively tune. Even today it could be appreciated by a lot of people. It could be elevator music, The Girl I Left Behind. But others say that they played turned upside down. Now, to the British who were leaving New York after the grand British army had surrendered to them, oh, that seemed like the world turned upside down, didn't it? So one could imagine that, you know, after the band had dah-de-dah-de-dah-de-dah-de-dah-de-dah-de-dah-dah played the world the girl I left behind, they would bust into a rather lively, spirited edition of The World Turned Upside Down. Now, Just for kicks, let's go back to that guy that was playing with prisms and didn't know he made a pair of glasses out of a prism. We talked about this a long time ago. And if you look through a prism just right, everything in front of you is turned upside down. It's true. Find out for yourself. Everything in front of you is turned upside down. Now, he wore these glasses for a while because this was an odd phenomenon and he couldn't explain it. He didn't know, you know, geometry and other such things. But he wore these glasses for a while anyway. And after about two weeks, you guys, did you know this is recorded into scientific history. This is written down a long, long time ago. After he had worn these glasses for about two weeks, which made the world appear upside down to him, he got used to walking around and doing things upside down. And then he woke up one morning and put on his glasses. And after a few moments, bam, the world just turned right side up again. Even to his mind, even with the physical alteration of the, you know, the lenses turning every, the prisms in front of his eyes, eventually his mind made the correction or the alteration, that might be a better word to put here, because he still wore the prisms, still wore the glasses that originally had made his world appear upside down. Then all of a sudden one day put on the glasses and start walking around and bam! Everything is just normal. The image flipped over in his mind, his mind, his ocular nerves. that greatest battlefield computer on the planet, that gray matter between his ears, and yours would do the same. Made the adjustment and flipped the world back over. So now when he wrote, he would be writing properly and seeing it properly, and when he would move something, it wouldn't appear to be moving in the opposite direction, and all kinds of goofy things like that. Now you might wonder why we're going on and on about this, but you know what? A whole lot of people wear those glasses today, and the world is truly upside down. but they have made their mind up that everything's okay. And they walk around in that kind of, well if you're just in this instance, instead of putting the glasses on like the them or they live, yes they live, instead of putting the glasses on, this is a real physical thing. This is a phenomenon, your ocular nerves and all of the input that we use our eyes for, it really happens to them. And then, some people it turns a little earlier and some people it turns a little later, but it was right around two weeks for this guy, the first person ever to do this. It's true. Now, when you think of that, I got report today, Mark, from a gun show up, and I know it's not Weapons Wednesday, but from a gun show up in Patoski this past weekend. Seems about half of the people behind the tables well had a good idea what was going on or they were you know trying to move parts out into the world because the people are going to need these and you know so on and so forth and The other half were well. I there's nothing we can do about it, and you know I'm I'm getting old and I there's nothing I'm getting old and there's nothing I can do it You know old men grumbling, but not doing anything just watching their world upside down so to speak and you know they've made the adjustment Think about it. Even more dismal from the person I talked to today from the Petoskey Gun Show, only about 10% of the people that were there buying things, a lot of people go to gun shows because their father took them or they went with their grandfather as a kid. On occasion, they go to a gun show and that might be where they buy their bullets for the hunting season. They'll buy a box. That's all they'll use for the whole year. But they get to walk around and see friends they haven't seen in years and things like that and la-di-da and carry on in the public place. About 10% of the people that were just the crowd had a good idea what was going on. The others were just there for... what they might need after this hunting season because the hunting season is winding up in michigan small game will close here in a few days but hasn't already for certain by the end of this month you won't legally shoot a rabbit anymore at any rate are you saying i'm going to have to club into death well you could shoot him but that was the legal word in there right you won't legally shoot a rabbit in other words i have to steer for any more than i want if there's him on the road that's what you're telling me i see yeah But again, you guys, going back to the prison thing, even a lot of people that go to the gun shows are kind of sitting on the fence or they know something's wrong but they can't put their finger on it or they're just playing, you know, walking around ignorant. And that was another word that came up. Now, you know that there's a difference between ignorant and stupid. Stupid you can fix, but ignorant is ignorant all the time. Ignorant is going to stay ignorant. I just don't, you couldn't tell me tomorrow that the sun is going to come up, I won't believe you. That's ignorant, you know. Pretty much I can believe the sun is going to come up tomorrow and I should not have to convince you of it. You know, the stupid person, I can eventually convince them that the sun is going to come up every day and there's a reason why and we can tell them why and eventually they believe it and they're no longer stupid, right? Now think about this. If your whole world appears upside down, to the person who sees things proper, they would appear kind of, well, it's stupid if not on the verge of being ignorant, right? Now, with that in mind, look at it like this. Distance, we're going to have to drag some of our brethren, the people who are going to gun shows. Some of our brethren is incomprehensible compared to the short time that we have to do it. Now, with that in mind, there's not a one-speed thing. You can just say, hey, and this is one of the great problems with, you know, people say, when's it going to start? Or people say, well, I don't know, what can I do to convince these other people? And masses are turning. It's like a human wave. People are turning, but we need to Grab everybody and keep them on the front of the wave so they aren't on the bottom of the wave being ground up by the coral with that in mind You know don't look at the cousin at the kitchen table for years, you know Thanksgiving or whatnot don't look at him like ignorant just look at him like like kind of just this thought you know Be a little generous and say he's he's not even really stupid. He's just let's put another word there. He's stubborn And you know, stubborn can be a good thing. Even Mr. Otto used to tell you that. Because Mr. Otto would say, it took years to turn down. Talking about myself. It took years. Because I was stubborn cuss. I'll say that, hey, it was my country, you know, can't do anything wrong. And that had never happened in America. And not in my lifetime or anybody. It will never be allowed. You know, I'd sit and look right at Mr. Otto and say, that's nuts. That's crazy. So you can't say, I've described that. One day Mr. Atoll came in and said something and something else was going on and it all fit together. It was like the detective, you guys in the V movie. And the detective, all types of things are swirling in front of him in his mind and everything and all of a sudden the whole puzzle fits together. He's telling his cohort about it. The other detective says something like, well what can we do? He says, I don't know, it was just a thought. Remember that scene? It's like a little epiphany. It's like a little awakening. It's like a little enlightenment. And when you can bring that to one of your fellow countrymen, one of your fellow citizens, another American, someone you're concerned about, someone you want to bring to the other side of this upcoming mess. That's a pleasant thing to call a war, isn't it? Upcoming war. That's another way to put it. Let's be more real, more direct here because Well there's a whole lot of people walking around with the prisms on and their whole world is upside down and they've made the adjustment that everything's okay and fine and dandy and I can deal with things moving in the opposite direction that my hand is really moving. But we need to work on them. Now the other thought line is here, you know, well, I'm going to get me and mine through it and all of my men and we're ready and damn the rest of the world. If they're not listening to us now, well it's not my fault. Well, you know what? If they're not listening to you now, you need to talk harder. Because that's not my fault and damn them. That's the other side. That's the other side working into your mind. If they won't do for themselves right now, they can just... I'll do nothing for them when the do-do hits the circulating device. You mean you won't even hand them a butter knife, huh? See how that works? If you have that mindset... I met someone and he actually came here a long time ago. He stood here and we were talking about different scenarios. He said something, I said, well, what if the guy over there has got all the food and you don't have any food, but he's barely got any guns, man. Even before I could finish the sentence, he'd be a good team and a benefit to each other. He said, well, I'd just go over there with my machine gun and take the food. He doesn't come around here anymore. that in mind, think about it, use that right there. We've talked about defending your food. We've addressed that. The other thing that needs to be here right now, and this needs to be addressed because we've got teeth. I went to the dentist a couple weeks ago and he wanted to keep it, but I carried it home because I want to be buried with all my body parts, Mark. He said, you could send it over to the college and they'd study it, yes, but it's mine, so it's right up there in a little brown envelope. But we've still got teeth. Now with that in mind, we need to bring everyone. If you are of the mind, that that same person, I'll just take my machine gun, was of the thought line that I'm going to have a bigger backyard when this is all over with. Now there's thought beset for that. There's a little bit about scrubbing the table and everything, but we've addressed this. Have you sent someone in your group down to the county seat, down to the township hall, wherever the platt maps, maps, you used to do that once a month, haven't we? That way, no one can say, that was mine and it's been mine all along. And you can't take it from me because it's been mine all along. But wait a minute, right here, Tuesday, the 14th of July, next year, day before the war started, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin William Smith owned this land. Or no, it would actually read, Mr. Franklin William Smith at, you mean that's Latin, I think, including all others. Now, when did you, show me the purchase, show me the bill of sale, or show me any types of dealings you had with Mr. and Mrs. Smith. But wait a minute, my backyard's got real big here. See the argument? A lot of things that need to be planned now. There are a whole lot of defenses that need to be put up now. You wouldn't want somebody else calling your yard his backyard now, would you? That don't bring about an end to the war, does it? I repeat, that does not bring about an end to the war, does it? There are so many different things involved in this, but we look, we look, we want to just bite there. We just want to bite them on the ear and spit it on the floor and say, what are you going to do now? Okay, that's a lot better than what I was going to say. But we still have teeth. Now with that in mind, it seems sometimes the intelligence report is kind of in a ... and I don't say this because, man, we'll talk about anything. We'll talk about the two fish swimming along. We'll talk about anything. But sometimes we're very myopic. That's another thing, like looking at something with a microscope or looking at something with a telescope or looking at something with a magnifying glass. or looking at something with a very wide field of view. And you know, we have a weapons Wednesday and on weapons Wednesday, man, we talk about guns a lot. And many times at the bottom of the hour you'll hear me say, Mark will say, Don, give him your number for night vision, and I do. And a lot of times you'll hear me say, if you don't have the things that are being offered by our sponsor, you're not ready for a piece of night vision yet. Now, this goes back over to we have teeth. There are plenty out there who are willing to fight for freedom, not just for their freedom, but for their neighbor's freedom. For that ungrateful turd over there who has no idea what the fight is about. And I did say that, forgive me. Who has no idea what the fight is about. But now pay attention here. Because let's go back to that guy who has all the food, and maybe he's all alone and he might even have guns, but we've talked about an army of one. Eventually you go to sleep. The guy with the machine gun, he won't even have to shoot you. He'll just come over and take all your food. That only underscores teamwork, doesn't it? That only underscores organization. It's real hard to be organized when you're one person. You can have all of the things around you right where you want them, and you know where they are at moments' reach, or you have the card file for the library or whatever. You can say that's organized. But that's just a life that's paid attention to. Organization implies teamwork. It implies people around, doesn't it? It implies shifts even. Like, I'm going to go to sleep now. And by the way, I'm going to wake up because there's two other shifts, one on guard and one doing their work duty, that are layers of safety above me while I sink into sleep. Because I dearly and truly and preciously love my sleep, OK? Everybody does whether they admit it. Mr. Cornky can go for a good long time without sleep, but I'm certain when he goes to sleep he dearly and truly loves his sleep. Don't worry, I have plenty of cats to weigh me down. They make sure they're neatly-chewed. They're almost like blankets, aren't they? I have no choice. But now. Yeah, this is true. Sometimes I wake up and I have a cat on each side of my ankles and it's hard to even move. They know where the warm spots are. Yeah, exactly. That goes over to organization and knowing, doesn't it? It's a little bit of teamwork, interspecies and all of that, and that's questionable and all kinds of things, but we're getting away from what I wanted to talk about. If I had a brace of lions, I could whisper in their ear, and while I'm waving over here and doing this, the lions could sneak around up behind my enemies and bite their ears off. But I don't have a brace of lions, do I? thought that was presented on the hour more than a week ago that at the time I said, I've got to commend that. I've got to say that's to be commended. I think those are the words I used. But someone came on the morning hour and this one is right along with what we're trying to present here. Someone came along on the morning hour and talked. He was talking about general things and then he talked about what he had and what his group has and then he said one of the most profound found things that ever has come out of the intelligence report, we can only work with what we've got. Think about it. Now, let's go back over to that. On Weapons Wednesday, and this is what, I got a little bit off track on this part of this thought line. Let's go back to that pile of food and the guy with the machine gun. Because the guy with the machine gun apparently never bought any food. And hungry's hungry, man. Everybody gets hungry. If you do not have food, you can't, that's why I can, You guys, I was run over by a car. I'll tell you a little secret here. A long, long time ago, when I was just a big, big puppy, I was a young man. I was run over by a car. It went up one leg and down the other. I did not cry out. I did not scream. When someone said, where is Don? I said, push it off. And they looked over to the side of the car, and Don's kind of halfway under the car. But the tire, the rear tire, is resting kind of on my hip. That wasn't very much fun. Now you'll wonder why I went there, but we can push back pain. I went to the hospital that day. The doctor hardly didn't believe I was run over by a car because as soon as I realized I couldn't pull my foot out, I relaxed. I let everything happen. I believed that if I tried to fight it, I'd have broken bones. I'd have ended up worse than I was at that time. The doctor couldn't believe, but two days later I had a bruise that went from one knee up the leg and down the next leg. I don't want to describe all of that, The point is here, some people would have died just from shock. Some people would have screamed and screamed and died from shock. But we can suppress pain. Within two weeks, I was riding my motorcycle again. People couldn't believe it because my right leg was almost all bruised. My right leg was almost... The car rolled down that leg, the whole tire. Each individual tow pad had a bruise on it. Each individual pad, the little bit of flesh under your toes, had its own little symmetrical bruise on it. Not to mention the hole of the foot, the calf above it and the thigh above that. My point here is we can ignore pain. We can make like pain really isn't there, but we can only do that with hunger for a short time before hunger literally starts to hurt us in ways that we cannot overcome. Understand that. This is why we've told you about food for years. For years. For years. If you're of the mind that, I need me more bullets, I'll get my beans when I come downwind from those that are cooking them. You understand the mentality there. That's the pirate mentality. That's the brigand mentality. That's the murderer mentality. But hunger does strange things to people. When a grown man has a family behind him and they're all hungry, That's bad news. You don't want to get in the way of that bull. You don't want to grab him that 800 pound gorilla. But you don't want to have to deal with him either. If this is the bottom line of this, and I'll yield to you in just a moment, Mark, because the whole of this has come to this thought line. If your friend will not buy a gun in defense of his family, and you've been leaning on him for a long, you've been chewing on his ear, you've been telling him this for that, you've been showing him things that have turned others of your friends years ago. But he still says, man, I don't want to have a gun in the house. I'm just not a warrior. That's just not me. Encourage him to put up food. Encourage him to put up food. Encourage him to put up food because you might not be too far away and you might be able to defend your friend and his food. Hopefully you've got enough for yourself. Bribe that hunger will put on you. people. The drive that hunger will put on parents when their children are crying is one of the most powerful things the other side can do to us. Other than just literally drop the bomb on you. If you're putting up bullets and beans and that's all you're doing, shame on you. If you're putting up bullets and guns and no beans, that's what I meant to say. You're way unbalanced. If you're just coming into this now, if this is the first time you've ever heard this broadcast, take almost everything you've got and put it into long-term storage, canned food, dried food. You know, how long does pasta keep? You know, we had one of those freeze-dried meals just tonight and I really like them. It's the chicken and noodles and, you know, the nice chicken sauce and everything. They keep almost forever. The worst thing you could do if you make a mistake and buy a whole bunch of food, worst thing you have to do is eat your mistake. But you know what? Let's do it like this. Here's another reason. How much was food last year? How much was food the year before? Talk your friend if he's not going to buy anything that he thinks you need to defend his family like guns and bullets. Talk him into buying food. Here's another angle on this, you guys. You got a wife told you, your wife can talk to her wife, can't she? You don't keep her chained up in the basement, do you? Now with that in mind, now you've got the warrior side, the masculine side pumping the chest saying, well, we got to do this and buy more bullets and other things. But by the way, you need to put up more food for your family. But your wife is telling his wife the same thing. Now there's a completely different angle there. because mothers know about feeding their children. Put up more food you guys. Put up more food than you think you'll need for five years or ten years. More food, it will be unbelievable how fast it goes. I yield, Mark. One of the things, if you can't get people to do anything else, you don't have to worry about it being specialized preparedness food. Remember guys, if you're trying to get somebody motivated, if they believe that they need a pallet of SpaghettiOs, then encourage them. Personally, I would tell them to kind of mix it up, but in other words, well, what other foods do you like that might be in a can? It really doesn't make any difference provided, again, remember, down the road they bring something to the table, especially at a time when everybody's getting a lot thinner and we need to make sure that we kind of eliminate the lack of carbohydrates, proteins, amino acids, enzymes, sustenance. The other thing to tie in there, Don, don't forget multiple vitamins guys. Usually you can at least talk to people into discussing things about health. And vitamin supplements, you may not get the calories, but remember there are a lot of good supplements that are out there that will give you all of the material needed so at least you're not losing teeth. fingernails aren't falling off, you don't end up with everything from scurvy. I mean, I was thinking about this the other day. You know, how is it we figured out about scurvy? Does anybody remember? You know, there used to be those, remember those pictures you used to have of the, you know, high points in medicine? And there's this one picture of a shipboard surgeon and all these guys down are laying along the gun deck, right? And they look like death warmed over. That's because they are. What he's doing is he's got cut citrus, he's got a lime in his hand, and he's pulling it to the mouth of the man who's, of course, debilitated because they virtually were incapacitated. He developed the whole process of making sure that Citrus or vitamin C product food stuffs were on board. Scurvy being a very real problem. We don't even think about it right now for the moment. Iodine is another thing. All of these items are available in what are some good, broad-spectrum food supplements that in many cases are also designed to be space food. They've got a lot of other additional materials on board that are needed to keep you alive. Now, if you may not have an exciting menu, But if you've got the proper, if you've got at least a certain number of proteins or carbohydrates coming in and you've got the calories, but not exciting calories, remember those multiple vitamins make up the difference. Is it the preferred way to live nonstop? Well, you know what? It's better than dead. And going without food, starvation guys is not the Suffocating is good, but starvation takes a long, long time. It takes a lot out of a soldier. And even if you do, and here's the problem with starvation. Even if you do recover, you are able to save the person. I don't care who it is, you, me, or whoever else it would be. Many times they are damaged for generations. Yes, you are looking at major flaws in the recuperation process because it is not like this is just a chunk of something taken out of here, a hole that needs to be patched back up. The body literally prioritizes what it needs and will consume itself to get it. That's another thing we need to remember is that the body is a miraculous tool in that we store things in different ways but we also can reprioritize and will in fact debilitate other parts of our person to keep the core running. When it starts eating muscle it differentiates not between the muscle on your thigh and the muscle that is your heart. Exactly. That's why if you'll notice a lot of these men even when they were recovered I knew the guys who were POWs who were long term POWs that were my teachers. I've seen their younger pictures and I've also known them. I knew them personally after Vietnam although one of them like I said was both a POW in Korea and then to be a POW in Vietnam. First of all, the harder the two was to survive Korea. Korea was a shorter campaign, but the Koreans were absolutely devastating on the POWs. First of all, they killed most of them. If they even suspected the POWs were going to be repatriated, they would execute hundreds and up to a thousand at a time just to make sure they were not back over the line on our side. So surviving that component, that's why it would be named Bewigyutu, is escape. to get away. Sooner is better, okay? But in both cases, first of all, starving for six, seven months before being repatriated in the one case, then being starved during Vietnam, middle of Vietnam, he was captured again. He never recovered that muscle mass, guys. Never. He was able to build his strength back up, but he never fully recovered that muscle mass. We talked and mentioned a moment ago over generations. I watched about two years ago a study on PBN about, it was across like six generations Mark or five generations and it went into things like the potato famine, famines on Europe. The Irish potato famine, yes. Yes, thank you. And you know we just went past Patty's Day, St. Patrick's Day there, so I had to mention that too when we're talking about Irishmen starving leaving their own home country to get food. We've mentioned that already, didn't we? Now, they look at times when people are lean and when people are fat and look at the consequences to the two and three generations out. You know that in the times when there were, let's say, famine across Europe, the next generation was many times more prone to diabetes or many times more prone to a shorter life on average. Their average lifespan, instead of at the time being 67 years, was 54. And these are the offspring of people who have been starved. It works even unto generations. Being starved or nearly starved to death not only hurts you, it hurts your offspring. Literally. This has been proven now. Buy more food. We are getting into the growing season. I don't care what you want to do. In fact, Nancy, Bequedance, I was going to have her up on the air here this week. There is a breed of cherry bush, Don. And not cherry trees, guys. We are talking a cherry bush. And very easy to put in tree lines, fence lines, wherever you want to build them up. We've got four of them here I'm going to be developing before we get into the planting season right now, but we're probably going to buy another 20 or 30 of these. This is another plant we're going to incorporate into the area. And I'm hoping to get it promoted so that it's all over. In other words, once you get going, they'll go on their own. But again, you've got to work these plants. The important thing is accessibility. We're not talking something you have to climb up a ladder to be able to harvest what's there. These are a bush, but they're a cherry bush. If you are going to plant a tree or if you are going to do anything this season, plant food producing barriers or again shade trees. They are not going to grow as big although again we have cherry trees. They will get as big as you want them to. Purely matter how you prune and what you are developing them for. I've been burning cherry because of the what the 14 and 18 foot round cherry trees we have in the backyard that went down with the tornado, you know in the back 40 year. The advantage is that you have food production whatever form. We're almost on the maple season like right now Don. So we'll be tapping and doing maple syrup this season like we did last year last two years now. We've done gallons. gallons and gallons and gallons of maple syrup. One of the other reasons for that is another form of sugar. Do you think that white sugar is going to show up or cane sugar is going to show up if they really start cutting off the supply lines? Remember that other forms, why maple syrup was popular, what you were doing is you were cultivating another form of sugar. Sweet is popular. Sweet should not be overwhelming. You should know we have sweet in everything which we did not have in the past. Sweet was supposed to be a treat. Sweet has been inundated on a level that we're going to have to get used to without and change up things a bit. You'll find amazing enough when you exclude more of the sweet. that the food flavor range changes. In fact, in a very positive way. It's like, wow, this actually is more of a, that's something I haven't tried. Hey, that's pretty tasteful. You'll go to town, trust me. So, the important thing here is understand the environment, develop all of the other foodstuffs that we have. Of course, we've got, remember it's Tuesday, so after we're done with the second hour, we've got Joe coming up here to talk about the very thing we're discussing right now. We're starting up all of our seeds, our seed sprouting, the stuff that I already had and started, in terms of, for instance, marigolds, additional marigold production. Although tomato plants, of course, they're already in motion, a lot of them. And then other shrubs, but berry-producing shrubs. There's a bunch of raspberry plants I started up last year, doing a little experiment in the greenhouse with them this year. And the idea is to kick them off and give them a lot of extra time before we switch them over and put them into the ground on the fence line. We should have berry production this year off these plants, and I can see them doubling production overall. Just experiments we've already been doing that you know from ideas everybody else has given out on the air or stuff We've been following up on from friends have been doing this for a long time. Don't forget nuts like hazelnuts Hickory all the different trees. We're going to plant them or know where they are There's a lot of food stuff out there guys and it complements Whatever else you're doing. Remember, your food storage is part of the process. Knowing how to live off the land is the other half of this too, so that you don't end up nutrient starved. By the way, all the hickory nuts, walnuts, pecans, a lot of people are down south. There's wild pecan trees out there and you all know just well as I do. Well, for the time being, some people thought, well, it's not really worth the effort. Well, when everybody starts starving, It's why all the different, what do they call them, greens, Don? You know guys, you know what most of all the greens are? In any other time, people would call them weeds. But as you starve, you find out what's edible and not real quick. And so now we have a variable plethora of canned greens that we eat. Even spinach, although spinach is one of the more heavily developed and older of the breeds. You can do more than make wine from dandelions. Yeah, exactly. Oh hell yes. And oatmeal from In fact, thank you for bringing that up because that was the one thing I wanted to mention today. For some of you, you're ahead of us. Nettles. Now, especially if you are older and as soon as we get any kind of growth in your area, if you have nettles, you want to cut the fresh sprouted nettles. When they start to grow, especially softer and greener, cut those and treat them like you would spinach or anything else. Boil them. Salt them, you can throw a little vinegar in there if you want to or you can throw in a piece of bacon or whatever, use butter. Personally, I just cook them and eat them. Eat them and drink all of the water. In bad times, yes, that's where I was going to go because in bad times you'll make the instant smashed potatoes, you know, the instant mashed potatoes, use that water to make them. You won't lose any nutrients. Yes, and the advantage of this too is One of the things about nettles with regard to cleaning out the system but also dealing with cancers and other odd ailments that are too numerous to mention right now, we're actually going to do a little bit of a class on this pretty soon on the air. But nettles, they grow everywhere. They're a weed. In fact, they're a cantankerous weed. Most people try to get rid of it because as they get older, they're a spiny, literally what it says, nettles. You know what nettles are, guys. The advantage of these though when they are fresh cut, they are probably one of the most beneficial of the weeds that you could cut. But especially people that are in their middle age or older, they are worried about cancers. Also, just the amount of nutrients that are offered with nettles, the level of vitamins involved, vitamin C, vitamin D, all the critical vitamins are offered with nettles. In fact, our homeopathic teachers we've had here and individuals that have dealt with cancer and dealt with other issues like that, nettles are on the top of the list as a priority for picking and usually are part of the menu every day. When you run into a guy that's been like 87 or 90 years old and this has been their regimen since 1955 because of health, in other words to take care of their health, you might want to pay attention. especially since the person has battled cancer and this has been a way to maintain the system and to keep the problem down. They put it down like a hammer. So, just something to think about. We're looking at the beginning of the season here. A lot of you guys farther south can already start to harvest a lot of this stuff. As you pointed out, Don, cattails are everywhere. Do a little research. Cattails, especially with starving Russia. Oh, and right there where they want to kill Christians, want to be killing Christians, and the Jewish mob is trying to do it to everybody. When the Ukraine was starving, when Russians were starving, when the Georgians were starving because the kosher mafia was you know, rounding up all the wealth and stealing everything from everybody and murdering tens of millions of people. Well, cattails grew everywhere. And they figured out real quick, although they'd already known for many years anyway, just that all of a sudden, in order to survive and stay alive, any and all calories counted. And every aspect of the cattail will assist you in field survival. Was it 1916, 1917? that the German peoples called the year of the radish, the winter of the radish. By the way, that's another thing too. Radishes are one of those fast growers and right now, even if you want to do them in short buckets, they don't need to be really deep. Five gallon pails work, but you can use like two gallon or three gallon pails because they're usually shorter. Guys, a minimal amount of dirt and some sunlight and some moisture and you could have radishes in a bucket, like real quick. And they are food stuff. And remember, there's many breeds of radishes. Some that are as big as any other beet that you would grow. And if you're just trying to that and sucking vapors and like we said the morning, I was talking this morning, my favorite, history. The illustrated history of the French cuisine, I have it right here in my hand. Remember, ash cakes. Mmm, yum. Ash cakes. You take the potash. the charcoal that's cold from in the stove you mix it with grass and whatever else you can find that's growing that's out in the backyard the back 40 that somebody else didn't grab because you're fighting to get there first and then you mix it together what oh yes the grass and the and the ash and the charcoal and you mix that together and you add water and then you start up a new fire in the in the in your little meager fireplace or fire pit and you cook them together and you make ash cake Wow! Although I guess that would clean the infectious material and clean out the toxins in the system with the charcoal. That's something we do know about now, but that was part of the regular diet of the starvation era of the 11th century France. Ooh, ash cakes. I don't want to go there, do you, Don? I don't think we've, that's not in our menu if we can help it. So, prior proper planning prevents piss poor performance and in this case also starvation. So let's think ahead and do things right. We've got the ability to do it to share the technology. The other thing there too, I will remind you buddy, quick greenhouses guys, this is the season where the window companies make really monster deals and start changing windows out for people. Well, when they take the old windows out, they usually have to get a dumpster and fill things up with it and that's terrible because they have to spend money. But if you take the windows, well they have more room in their dumpster. And if you get a battery powered drill and a little bit of creativity and some wood from the scrapyard down the road where they're doing construction, why, you can have yourself a nice little all glass greenhouse in a very short period of time. It was also another way to make little kitty skyscrapers. You haven't seen my cat skyscrapers. I probably should post those somewhere. For the winter, everybody enjoyed the sun no matter how cold it got outside. What do we do? Well, the windows. Everybody else is getting rid of. A little bit of screw, a little bit of time with the drill and the sheet metal screws. Look at that housing. So there's any number of different options, greenhouses and more. But do it on the fly, do it on the cheap, look to see what's out there. Don, anything else before we go, please? Just buy more food you guys. Buy more food? That and also a reminder for our warriors out there. Don, you have night vision technology, people. Why are you dealing with a stranger when you can deal with a friend here? And I can't emphasize that enough. I wouldn't be picking up the phone and talking to anybody else. Talk to Don. Don, how can we get hold of you if we need night vision, please? Well, my phone number is 2317968458. Again, 2317968458. We can talk about goggles or gun sights, green screens or thermal. We can talk about that first generation gun sight. 308 capable? No, it won't live on top of your 300 wind mag, you guys. I had to answer that thought, that question today. But it'll live on top of your 308. I'll put that right in your mailbox for $400. My number is 231-796-8458. Again, 231-796-58. Give me a call you guys. If you call the guy with the 800 number and call me and then call me, you probably won't call him back. My number is 231-796-8458. Thank you Mark. first gen pretty much across the board. I'm not going to be spending that much money on the night vision technology. I don't have it. In fact, I haven't really bought any for quite some time, Don, but all we have, we got from Don Betcher. So don't forget that guy, he's available, and he'll be building just a little bit, but also, any time you have a question, ask Don. If he doesn't have the answer right away, unlike most people, he's not just going to try to sell you something else, he'll find out, in particular, what it is that you need to know, pass it on, and you can make a decision accordingly. How do you like that? God bless the Republic. Death to the New World Order. We shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen, the Empire is on the run. But we are in the march, both day and night. We're on that later on with you to chance to talk privately. But anyway, for everybody out there, pay attention to Ed and home. Remember, that sun drops. It's going to be ice outside. It's just winter, guys. If you've had a nice day, we're going to have a cool evening. Don, your number's the night vision and closest, please. My number is 231-796-8458. Goggles are gone.
