I've talked about the Big Cross on Mount Soledad near San Diego several times before, but it's so important that I must give you an update. A judge has ruled that the cross has been part of a war memorial since 1954, and now it must come down. The 40-foot cross is surrounded with plaques memorializing veterans. The cross has been there for 60 years and it replaces another cross that had been there since 1913. In 1989, a group of atheists sued the city of San Diego. That led to 25 years of litigation. Congress intervened in 2006, and the federal government took over the property. Then another group of plaintiffs sued again, saying it was a violation of the First Amendment for a religious symbol to be displayed on federal land. The U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the cross was a government endorsement of religion and must come down. The Mount Soledad Memorial Association appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court, which declined to take the case, and a federal judge said the previous ruling had to stand. The ACLU claimed this was a victory for religious liberty, but it certainly was not. The Cross is a historic landmark that has had decades of popular support from the people of San Diego, who at one point voted to turn the memorial over to a private organization in order to keep the Cross standing. This solution, of course, did not satisfy the atheists. The memorial is not exclusively Christian. It is surrounded by secular symbols and symbols of other religions, including 18 Jewish stars of David. It's hard to see how this famous monument violates anybody's rights. The process is supposed to come down soon, but the federal judge left the door open for an appeal. If the Supreme Court takes the case, which I hope it does, there's still one chance for good sense to prevail and the San Diego Cross can continue to stand. Judges have no constitutional authority to write new laws, but power-grabbing supremacist judges have created new rights to same-sex marriages, abortion, and pornography. And we live in a better state. But I guarantee there's gonna be the, oh, example of global warming! It's like before when it was snow, we're not supposed to accept the idea that the snow is because we have normal weather, you see. It's not abnormal. This is like normal weather. We live in a tempered environment, and the rest of the country is getting part of the 30, 40, or 50-year cycle, depending on where they are on North America. do the panic thing, do the common sense thing and be prepared! I wasn't going to wait any longer. I already told my family I said I'm just going to go out and throw the switch and that's it, we're done. But because of the support and conversations and the phone calls and all the things that I got last night during that three hour program, We're here this morning and we're going to go for the gusto. So when I say going for the gusto, we're not going to quit until we solve this problem once and for all. And when I say once and for all, what I mean is get everything caught up and where everything is supposed to be. Okay? And then we have to find a way and we're suggesting and we're hoping and wanting people to so we don't have to keep struggling this way. If you could make, on a regular basis, what do they call it, a pledge, I suppose, for $10 or $20, $20 to $25 a month or something on a regular basis so we can establish some kind of steady support system that this doesn't keep happening to us. The reason a lot of this was taking place, it all started way back when my wife was in the hospital. My wife and I were sitting here talking yesterday before I actually got on the air for three hours. We're going back and looking, looking, looking, looking and everything just got all pulled sideways. We had to do things we didn't normally have to do, expenses we didn't normally have. A lot of things went wrong. But we have hit the wall, my friends. So last night for three hours, it's not a rumor. I'm telling you straight out, I was there. I was the guy on the microphone telling everybody, telling all the terrestrial stations out there, low power stations. Seek yourself out a another source because the micro effect is shutting down Well again here. We are this morning I'm being encouraged and convinced that you know we can get this done So let's let's see what you people have to say you're going to be voting with your dollars. Everything from, I don't know, fuel pumps gone. Timing belts. Yeah, you name it. There's no limit there Okay, so I'm over here. There's a garage right behind me I'm out there twisting ranches running radio stations taking care of a family I don't know can somebody tell me is there something else I should be doing here Because I feel like I'm doing all that I can But when you run out of road my friends when you run out of road there is no more pavement and so yesterday I said thought well, maybe it's time to Cut this one loose in hopes of one doing something else. That's where we are. So the rumors are true. If there's, you know, the micro effect is shutting down at this moment, sitting here talking to you, unless something takes place, like people donating the funds that we need to keep the micro effect going. But it can't end there, you see, because that's been the battle. The battle is, we keep, okay, we'll do a little fun drive and this kind of thing, so we get enough money, okay, we can push out for another month, and then we can push out for another month. But we never caught up. We just keep pushing out for another month, but we never caught up. And once you didn't catch up, if something gives air, then you slide back a little bit farther. We all know how that works. That's what we've been doing here. So if micro effect is going to stay on the air, this is what people are encouraging me to do. My boat was just to pull the plug, then let's get it done. We have a country to save, families. There is so much that comes from the micro effect. Things that we need to do, things that we've tried to do. We've done what no other networks have done. Have you ever heard of another network? Everybody out there, I've asked a lot of people, step forward, especially if you haven't done anything in the past, you don't have to do a lot. Everybody out there listening and I know how a lot of people are kind of idling well, get along enough and it'd be like oh of course some people use this as the rubbing the wounded thing you know. Another example of what instead of saying it's futile get up off your Easter and do something and in the process support the micro effect. It's not a big you know effort here on every individual's part. Everybody just pitched in and every month did five dollars and of course then we would actually be ahead of the game. We can see the morning, I'm not here for a half a day. Exactly guys, and there again, the point is that we have a lot of people that can chip in. One of the things I'd recommend, this is again, long provided we reach the, get past the hurdle that we're facing right now. I would remind you that, again, you can also subscribe. This is something that is easy to use. basically what you're going to do is you just automatically would be paying five dollars a month through the subscription process. You would be in the loop. Now you don't have to worry about anything other than just let a given point out of your account, whatever you decide to use, five dollars. The one thing is it kind of puts you on the routine so that you're able to, you know, fire and forget. Which I guess again, it's, well Mark, well I might need that five dollars. Well we biked the bullet guys. And I do this all the time, in fact I do without constantly. I guess the problem is we're used to it. And it's interesting that something I've noticed, Ed, when was the last time, and I'm serious, anybody out there listening? When was the last time you knew anybody who actually has won big in the lottery? Personally. I'm not talking about, well, but I saw this thing on television and they had this actor standing, I mean, a person standing there and that person supposedly won the lottery. Now, back when the lotteries first started here in Michigan, it's kind of funny because you see, they had to be very limited with them. In fact, there was little to nothing in the way, nobody wanted the lotteries in the first place, but they shoved it down everybody's throat and everybody, of course. started looking at it and they've been looking at the numbers game that was being played because it was picked numbers guys and amazingly enough well because the number of the cycle the number of digit you had to get fairly small people actually were winning to the copy point of the idea that i can win but then they added another number to the battery and another set of numbers and another set of numbers about the time you're done the to be quite honest uh... i do not know nor have i heard of anybody locally ever winning for the last 15 to 20 years that I know of 20 years I would say because it's the year 2014 10 years ago will be 2004 nope nobody that we know of locally has won anything in the lottery in that time 10 years beyond that 2004 to 1994 nope nobody that I know of that I can think of that we personally could know you know that we would say okay that person won a million dollars that person won two million dollars or maybe even just a hundred thousand dollars zero not a none okay now if you read this story it's rather interesting it's very short but one of the things that brought we have reason bringing this in is rather than the lottery thing the few dollars that you spend how about you send them to the micro effect instead Now you're not going to necessarily win any lottery, but you are going to be doing more to help the, again, people who really are going to put their lives on the line for you as opposed to this racketeering system, which the argument is, is why wouldn't they be lying about the lottery? They're lying about everything else. she would mean not now i want to qualify this goes back in the seventies when they came up with lottery and and by the way it's that old guys that she would get down but you know it's been three going on for decades now since the michigan lotteries were in place now you got a hundred different you know scratching steps and you got all kinds of the i mean to the point where the money is fractured out of all the budget different stands but consider right here in dextre alone we had to We had one person who won the big lottery twice. In fact, he owned the Gulf gas station downtown. And the first time that he won, everybody goes, oh, you're going to quit. You're, you know, sell the business and leave. He goes, no, I'm not. I didn't make that much money on that. And by the time they're done with taxes, you know, et cetera, he goes, no, I'm going to keep my gas station. Well, what's interesting is he took a percentage of back in the day with these lotteries where you had to guess the numbers. He had a little system going, a lot of the people did too, and it's amazing how many numbers you could actually hit because the numbers were smaller. It was all crunch time here to get people going, get them out of the treadmill. What's interesting is he won again the second year. He didn't quit the business. You know what he did? Guys, back in the 70s he bought guns. You know why he was able to sell his business? It wasn't directly because of the lottery. It's because back when all that cheap stuff was out there at Penney's, you know, a quarter penny around and a half cent around and, you know, he bought all the guns. He bought custom firearms that were cheap then, which are now stupid price in the 21st century. That's what he did. And he was still doing that anyway with his, you know, his gas station. But it's interesting, he won twice and after that, no more. didn't really win anything much of it, but again, that's the one person that I know, and that's 30 some years ago. Well, this will be undermining the lottery. Guys, you're better off taking your, right now in this day and age, consider where you're sending the money anyway. Who are you giving the money to in the state of Michigan or the state of California or wherever you are? Seriously, who are you feeding? You're not feeding your neighbor. Well, maybe if your neighbor's with the lottery commission, or maybe if your neighbor is with the government, but even there, it's like the toll road scam. There's no way to track where this money's going anymore, and they're shoveling it out the back door faster than you can put it in the, you know, they can take it in the front, and it isn't going where it's supposed to go anyway. So here's my challenge. Rather than spending any of that BS money, on the lottery, which again, cold in hell is the likelihood with the way the numbers are stacked now as far as you gaining on anything. How about instead you take that and put it towards the micro effect? I'm serious. But Mark, if I won the lottery, I'd share it with, well, let me ask you something again. Out of all of you listening out there, do you, can you put a face, an address, a slash, a name, on anybody that you know that actually won a big lottery. But there, I saw the news and there's a name and there's a face. Yeah. Yeah, but you know, we could play the seven degrees of Kevin Bacon. Do you know someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone who knows someone? Exactly. And it's fascinating because this is an interesting article. It's only a couple of paragraphs, only like five paragraphs between two small ones. Three larger paragraph two, but it's true. With the racket and in fact let me point something out that I don't think the author recalls and I want to bring this everybody's attention. It's called the Rig Lottery. If you read George Orwell's 1984, understand that that was one of the key, one of the several components to control the proles. And I argued this years ago when the lottery thing came up, guys. This is right out of George Orwell's 1984. You'll even see it in the movies, the black and white versions and the color version where when he goes into the pro areas, the proletariat, the peasant areas. Hope when there is no hope. Everybody's looking at the televisions with their little pieces of paper. And somebody won, but he's of course got to remember that the main character was part of the government and knew that nobody won. Because that was their job. They fabricated information. They lied. You see how that works? You mean like the picture of desert? Yeah. All by himself. What was taking the picture? Shh, don't think about that. What are all those other shadows on the side of the picture there? There's no trees out in the desert. What could that be? don't think about that you know that is sometimes you should pay attention to the background guys or the ground while supposedly these are pictures of his track and he's all alone but shadows on the edge of the picture line why would there be shadows on the edge of the picture line if he was all alone in fact again what yet time to set up the tripod and well but wait that's not a picture of a camera in a tripod that was like an elbow or a foot or a side of a head. I don't think there's any side of head trees out there growing in the desert to you. So again guys, 888-747-1968, 888-747-1968. It's not a lottery, it's a promise.
