Mark Koernke discussed small-caliber backup firearms, pocket pistols, and ammunition selection for preparedness. He covered the history and practical applications of .22 and .25 caliber weapons, holster design and concealment techniques, and ammunition testing requirements for reliable function. The show featured product recommendations from Centerfire Systems, including a Browning 1919 A4 semi-automatic rifle ($2,800) and other belt-fed weapons for group defense. Koernke emphasized revolver reliability for civilians, discussed the market for affordable handguns like High Point pistols, and stressed the importance of speed loaders and proper training. The latter portion addressed communications infrastructure, satellite technology, and DIY preparedness projects.
Sometimes you're ahead, the race is long. And in the end, yourself. Remember compliments you receive. Forget the insults. Succeed in doing this. Tell me how. Keep your old loved ones. What do you got? Jump in there please. Yeah, you were talking about my favorite stuff, mouse guns. And I've had the cannons. I've always carried either 22 or 25 in my pocket at all times. And it's what I'll get. Well, the important thing here is, even if in the field, guys, if all you have is a... because all I've got is a fill in the blank. Any handgun as a backup right now is good. Especially, even in your combat load, guys, I don't care if it's a 9-shot or a 6-shot 22 pocket pistol, like a little H&R or Iver Johnson or whatever, you know, it doesn't make any difference. The idea is that if your primary weapon fails you, if you don't have a hand cannon on standby, and it doesn't mean everybody... I know all the arguments, We have watched this dance for as long as I've been alive and it still comes down to in a situation where you have a catastrophic failure you can't fix, well shouting harsh language and throwing magazines isn't going to do it. Anything you do. When somebody hears a barking dog they know there's bullets flying and they have a tendency to try not to get shot. uh... if you're close well the idea is that will bark and dogs in a put stipple holes in them and maybe if you're lucky you'll get whatever goodies they have bigger you get back into a heavy contribution in the fight but one way or another you are contributing i'm sorry you know a lot of people argue back and forth you get bullets downrange you're contributing to what degree very depending on what money you spent on what you've got in the way of that backup that backup weapon even if you have a bigger hand cannon that little twenty five or twenty two can be put a lot of places in an odd spot where people don't think about you drawing a weapon. That's another thing people don't realize. An action that is not familiar, hesitation, knowledge. The advantage of that is that depending on where you've stashed the weapon or how you've stashed the weapon, if it's a natural action, you cross your arms, it's right there in a spot on the vest or in your arm pit and moves next, your hand is full of something. uh... it can be a side pocket to be a belt pocket in an odd shape or configure a handy belt for you yeah exactly there's a dozen places where it can be put in effect is a lot of newer and older stuff pay attention to grab boxes in the uh... you got gun shows a lot of all leather or all holsters show up there that are actually pretty decent some guy usually always either sell stuff he has on the shelf police chiefs are cops have a tendency to happen the cop shop take the gun shows solid guys or they sell it to somebody at the gun show and they end up with a whole bunch of stuff that was confiscated or taken by somebody, etc., etc., etc. There can be a number of ways to deal with it. However it showed up at the gun show, take a look at some of the unique stuff that's there. Remember, you don't have to use the same holster constantly or the same stash position all the time. Another thing is, if you'll notice, there are these old holsters. I want to reinforce this. A lot of times you get a holster with a gun that Grandpa had or Dad had and it's like, wow, it's like the back of its square and it doesn't have belt loops. The weapon fits flawlessly into that holster. They're typically leather and they're hard horse leather, guys. If you get the, if this leather looks really tough, not granted, old leather gets tough anyway. If it's tough, really, like, hard leather, let me give you a hint. That's horse leather. and the reason for that is horse leather is more durable and takes a better set for holsters if you want a hard shell holster. Florshine shoes, a little trick most people don't realize if you ever bought florshine shoes I hate to tell you, most of your shoe was horse-eyed. I don't hate to tell you, I know it from knowing the industry. The reason the horse-eyed wears better, that's why those florshines wore so well. Man, I got a pair of florshines. And they just seem to last for 20, 30 years. I do. I've got a purse 25, 30 years old. And you know what? They're not as pretty as they were, but they buff up nice. It's because they're horse height. Now what those are, those holsters, those are pocket pistol holsters. They were designed so when you remember the old pants and slack pockets people used to wear were bigger than a lot of the little cut pockets you have on your little pants made to minimal cost nowadays. And a lot of people wore a dress slack. That was designed to either go into the rear pocket, which means it would be partially exposed so you could quickly grab the grip and run with it. Or you slid the whole holster into your pocket. There was no cross strap in the top, and all you did was reach in your pocket like a lot of people used to stand there with both hands in their pocket, casually watching stuff. Well, you just grab hold of the grip, pull it out, pocket holster stays in place because it was designed to form and fill out the pocket so there was no binding. And that was a requirement. Go ahead, repeat. I think it was also designed with the print. Right, exactly. It was designed to give you a form that was not really distinguishable. Remember, also with the duffer cut on the pants, remember you had the three-fold print, typically, stitch that was done, which actually blossomed the top of the panel a little bit, which helped because it pulled the pant, it actually gave a few pant legs, which helped to make it hard to actually see if there was anything there. The other thing is that the same holster could be stuffed into a coat, you know, like a winter coat, you know, wool coat, you know, a field jacket. That pocket. Yeah. And that was why they were popular and why you find so many them out there, but most people don't really realize, manage the risk of that. Because if you just put a pistol in your pocket, guys, that cloth really likes to hang up when it's most critical. And so, things happen that you really don't want to see happen like you fumble. one of the reasons that those holsters, every holster has a purpose and there was some method to somebody's madness and really it wasn't madness after all. Go ahead George, anything else? You're breaking up again, over. Ok, can you hear me better? There we go. Like you were saying earlier, a full metal jacket, that's all you use in these things. Yeah, one of the most common things, you know, the first company you start making small caliber Seward pipe hollow points was Supervel back in the 70s. Now it doesn't mean there were other little guys that made independent loads, there were. But Supervel, which by the way he was a wildcat loader, Supervel or Supervelocity rounds, but Supervel was the name of the company, started making 380 auto, then they did 32, then they even did 25. Now the only thing is again, you had to test it, test of the weapon. Now the one thing that he did, is that he actually went with a curvature and a uh... paper to the bullet that was comparable to ball and all any left just the front opened up on the twenty five he was smart and the understanding the problems with a little pocket this work with any little you know gas-operated or magazine-operated weapon you want to make sure that it loads it doesn't serve you if it doesn't function after the first round that's one of the other things that i would point out With most rounds, they haven't necessarily done with all these new super bullets, they haven't necessarily done a big widespread of weapons tests. They figure you'll be the research and development crew and if something happens, you may or may not buy it, but don't worry, there's other people, it will work, it does work. So they take their hit, I think they figure they take their hit in marketing. For years, a lot of you guys that are 45 shooters didn't have your 45s, throw it. because you didn't plan on shooting wadcutter but wadcutter became real popular as a bullet that was out there in the reloading circles back in the 70s when ammunition was short and so since people saw that wadcutter 45 was available a lot of guys had their barrels throwed if you didn't have the barrel throwed on the 45 then you would have occasional feed problems with wadcutter 45 ammunition so that's an example I wanted to mention earlier about things that can go bad things that can be a problem. We already experience it on a regular basis. Wodcutter ammunition was very popular, obviously in competition shooting circles, that's what it was built for, but it was cheap. You could buy lots more, you could reload a lot more Wodcutter, it was cast, bullet, etc., etc. And when people started to find that 45 ammo wasn't available around 77-78, everybody turned their eyes to all the other stuff that was on the shelf, just like what we most recently saw with this big burst of ammunition purchasing. Okay. But then when they got the 45 WOD cutter you had people lamenting, it's not working perfectly on my 45, I'm going to the range and I've got hang ups. Well, is your barrel threaded for WOD cutter? What? Was your barrel built for WOD cutter ammunition for competition? Well no. Oh well, there's your problem. So you either sold the ammunition to somebody who could use it because you didn't want to spend the money that you have, gunsmith, throw up your pistol, or you went out and had the thing done because if the weapon is throwed and you do polish the feed ramp and do all the other fun stuff that you wanted to do to it, you actually tuned your gun up anyway and it would take water cutter or ball all day. So it was a wallet choice. Another thing about these little pocket pistols, again with ball ammunition, what George was talking about, remember 22 round noses is the equivalent to ball in the 22 world. They do make copper jacketed, copper washed ammunition and I highly recommend that for even the 22s simply because it reduces letting, it firms up the projectile a little bit for operation which again with a gas operated or some automatic most of the twenty two drop your day she said that all point is a blowback during the gas operator twenty two that all but uh... at low back weapons they still have to work the action does you know going in and then the old issue of extraction going out did that for the both going to be gone so extraction is not the issue of the feed cycle we have to worry about when it comes to the world anyway uh... anything else on the uh... You're breaking up again really bad. Right, North American and American arms both those little 20 the stainless 22's. Right, they also make a black powder 22 revolver. So for people they wouldn't have to worry about writing up any paperwork on it because it was a non-firearm. Worked just fine. Obviously in stainless steel they work fine a lot longer because stainless is a lot more forgiving with black powder. but that doesn't mean you don't clean it. So for everybody out there, if you have a black powder gun, somebody says, oh, I have to clean it. Wrong. Any weapon you use, that following is going to get in the way. And the 22 is a persnickety under those conditions if you don't clean it also. Go ahead. And that is a, that's five shots that you would have. Old paper. You had to go in one of these communist states. And, uh, one of the things, I don't know how many are still available. Uh, there was It was a company that was absorbed by, it went from one company to the next that was specializing in 22 and also a little shotgun, cap-fired, you know, black powder muzzle loading handguns. The last company, Delcon, not Delcon, Delcon or something like that picked it up. It went from that to, they were all out of Tennessee and Kentucky. They're neat little weapons if you run into them. They made a little 410 side by side muzzleloader. It was basically the equivalent to a gun that was made back in the centennial period. It was a side by side 410 cap and ball gun. Handgun. All it was was basically the 410 shotgun whacked down to pistol size. They're not a bad little package and these little .22s in the cap and ball. Remember they're very small weapons and They do again stash everywhere or anywhere you want to put them. But crack guns. You can put them pretty much anywhere you want to. When we're talking tiny, this is about as small as a handgun gets for modern times. Now by the way, back in the day when they used to be parlor pistols, where they got the idea for these guns, it was not a new idea. There were top breaks and bottom break revolvers in 22 that were of comparable size. They were built all the way back to the Civil War. On occasion you'll see 10 types. or line image drawings, newsprint drawings showing a guy pulling a little revolver or a little pistol out of his boot. They were boot guns. They were the size of that little North American revolver and they were in 22 rim-fire short but they had four 6-inch barrels. That's why they were used as a boot gun because they went comfortably like a fighting knife right down into the sleeve of a jack boot, of a pull-on boot. but if you were in a brawl, pull that out, and like I said, dump a couple rounds into somebody's face or stick it under their chin, and you know, guess what? That's the whole of that problem. How's it great you somehow real quick, because you are breaking up really bad again. I don't know why, but whatever it is with your connection, I couldn't understand a single word you said a moment ago. Okay, how's this, any better? There you go, now you're back to talking to me. Okay, back during the Civil War, there was a lot of these They couldn't afford the bigger one. They went for the little .22 and they worked. If they did what they wanted it to do, put lead down range. Well the big thing is again for brawl pistols, everybody goes, well 22, hey guys, these were cartridge guns back when most people were muzzle loading. Consider, a lot of days, the first of the rimfire, big rimfire cartridge guns that were sold were in .22 or .32 and then they went up from there. the Spencer guns and all the others you see later on that are 44 or 45 even some odd 47 caliber guns were made and 50s you know again how much money you got in the initial stages before the war started the volcanics the the early early volcanic lever action guns were in the hands of both sides of the Civil War those were cartridge guns the 22s were out there and even 3032 was considered a big deal we're not talking big dirty hairy cartridges here we're talking short strokes You know the idea was if you in fact volcanic made a lever action pistol and it used the same magazine as their rifle Tubular magazine so you short stroke and you got another bullet in somebody's face? Bullet in somebody's carcass and then you beat the snot out of them with whatever else you had the other hand If you have the things real quick I want to mention because we're almost to the bottom of our break and our friends in the chat room so Pretty appreciate people following up. I didn't know center fire restock for anybody out there listening including our friends the doctors up here Centerfiresystems.com, Centerfiresystems.com, Centerfiresystems.com, 1-800-950-1231. They have Browning 1919 A3 308 semi-auto rifles with tripod, pinball, and T&E in stock. This is the Browning semi-automatic machine gun, guys. The price is $2,800. Everybody goes, well Mark, why are you talking? Well, I don't have $2,800. Well, you know what? Your group might. If you all get together or if you again have already one of these, which is some of the groups here have more than one, we're always looking for more. So for everybody out there, they have these in stock. I don't know how many. Free shipping to the 48 states expires 1 p.m. Eastern time, 1 27 2014. Well, that means that the special on this is out in five days. Not a big deal there. But they do have them in stock. I'm going to call and find out how many they have in stock. And again, that is the 1919 A4-308. It's the semi-auto version of the Browning machine gun. They've got it with the tripod, with a pinhole. And TNE, that's the traverse and elevation fixture. And it's rifle-1919-308. Again that's rifle-1919-308. Now you're going to need a belt loader for that. There's two types, tray type and there's also a crank type which is a little more expensive. Personally you can also make one. Yeah you can make them but the thing is remember this may, I've got to confirm that this one takes cloth or metal. Now most of them do both and if it does buy all the links and buy all the cloth belts you can if you're going to buy this weapon. You want to start purchasing links. It's in .308, so it's the same as your PTR-91s, your HKs, your FNFALs, and or your M1As if that's what you're working with, guys. This creates a volume fire weapon. It doesn't have to be full auto. Your little clicky finger can go three and five round bursts all day. You'll get really highly motivated with some adrenaline rush, okay? The advantage of this, can you aspire? Again suppression fire area defense or if you have vehicles that you need to mount weapons on where you have fighting stations This is the weapon that goes in that pedal station. Okay? Why do you guys have m 114 or Victor twos or ferret and m 113 armored personnel carriers guess what this goes right in the pindle where that m60 went on the roof and back in the day This is many brownings as there were m60s on the roof of an m113 And they're not obsolete by any stretch of the imagination. I guarantee that 308 ground going out of that Browning is going to kill you just as dead as that new Browning mag 58. Because the mag 58 is nothing more than the Browning right here you're looking at. It's revisited. They just reinvented the wheel. Reintroduced it, but now FN makes it and gouges us every time they sell it to us. Roger. Look below that at the 1918 A3. Is that a center fire? Roger. Okay, well I didn't see it. See, now I have a chance to see what they got in because it must have restocked. Are you not only on the homepage? No, I'm just looking at the, somebody sent us a link and I just brought that up real quick. Hold on here, let's see what they have. Advantage, you know, let's see. Well, they got a BAR. Yep, they got a BAR knockoff. Oh well, for $4,200, I'd go the belt-fed gun. I like the BA, $4,200, I don't like it that much. Only because, I think mags were $2 a piece, and yeah, I probably have about 4,000 mags because I bought them back when they were like 50 cents a piece. I've got them stored at a site. I've got enough so somebody shows up with a BAR, and I know we're going to have a bunch of guys pulling grandpa's BAR as they brought back from World War I and World War II off the shelf, because they are. They're out there. I've seen hundreds of BARs privately owned. A lot of guys brought them back even from Vietnam. Arvin forces and a lot of US forces had them in the early days and they brought them back in pieces and there's tons of BAR's out there in our hands. They're in 30 out of 6 right where they need to be in the hands of the American people. But this is a semi auto version. It's a good gun but if I was going to spend money right now I'd spend the money on that Browning 1919 A4. The $4,000 means I could spend that amount and get will, get the whole gun, I could get ammunition, and the belt loader and all the other fun stuff and the maintenance kits and probably some spare barrels for the net price. This means I can keep that belt head gun going a little bit longer. So it's a cool idea, but a chunk of change. See what, Georgia, anything else? You have a blast day. Thank you, sir. Appreciate that. We're heading to the bottom of the armory, guys. So we're going to let you all go. If you've got takeoff, grab that cup of coffee smell. Taste. No, it's vanilla. Vanilla coffee? Where'd that come from? Oh, that's something we had in the special... Oh, had the Grindrump Bean Pack here. We're gonna be back in a little bit. Meanwhile, y'all be careful on the road. How can you tell when their lines, when their lips are moving? Anyway, it is Weapons Wednesday and for everybody out there was wondering about, we were talking about there before we went to break. Again, CenterfireSystems.com, CenterfireSystems.com. To their page, you can go to firearms, long guns. To the last page, three of their rifles, right in the middle of the bottom, they have a Browning. It's a 1919 A4, a semi-auto. I've got friends listening. This might be gone even as we're speaking. Yeah, they've been open for a little $800 apiece. If you're looking for a sustained fire weapon, vehicle mount, a lot of guys have ferrets, serisons, and if they have the brown in the turret, it goes in the browning mount in the turret. And away you go. So, but you do need belts. You are going to need a linker. You're going to need the general maintenance kit, which aren't that expensive. Those are actually pretty cheap. And spare barrels, and I would prioritize spare barrels. More barrels are a good thing with brownings and with Bren guns. Okay, the semi-autos that everybody's buying, this is the cheapest you're going to find barrels for those right now. In fact, for the Bren gun semi-autos, they went for about $2,000. You'll notice none of them are listed because they're already sold out. Everybody bought them. Magazines are $6 a piece. You buy ten of them at a time, the transport assault tin, a can, a carry can, and they're $4 or $5 a piece right now. Bren gun spare barrels are as little as $60 a piece, which means that you can actually put a pretty good medium weight, uh, sustainment fire weapon together that is very heavy rifle caliber, an MBR, mean battle rifle caliber, as its center. That is a big plot for all the operations we're talking about here, so. And again, there's a special application, not everybody out there will be worried about that, but there's some people that have, like, larger formations, they're looking for a base port weapon or heavy weapon section. weapon that can be put into service. Funds of stuff laying around, we're not going to invade somebody else's country, we're defending the United States so we don't need to worry about, well it's not that common, it's common enough and there's still a lot of leftover surplus from World War II, Vietnam, Korea. You gotta remember we used the Browning before World War II and into World War II and through to the war and into Vietnam. We have Vietnam mostly off during World War II. There were browning plants all over the place. The Chrysler-Sio plant here in our county, actually my mom worked at that browning plant during World War II and the weapons that she signed off on were browning 1919s and also M-250 caliber guns, aircraft actually M-3s they built. Anyway, Everybody out there, otherwise talking about ammunition again, I can't stress enough if you have a unique ground. Somebody talk to you into a unique ground for your firearm, and that's fine. If you listen to that person, remember you need to cycle test the weapon. Don't just load the ammunition up, especially if it's a magazine pistol or a magazine-fed rifle, and the .22 semi-auto is the same way. Remember, they have to rely upon that cartridge to cycle the action. one point or another of the operating cycle fails, you've got a disabled gun on your hand. And the most common issue that's a question mark is feeding. Will it cycle and feed? Extraction is pretty straightforward. One nice thing about hot loads, they are going to pump that action. So the extraction issue with any of these hot rounds is not a problem typically. In fact, You're gonna get what's probably called radical extraction The brass is definitely going to be pushed away from the round and there's no consistency to point impact with extraction That's a plus I get it away from the gun. We're supposed to so you can pick up the next one But if the next round doesn't feed properly, so again do function test now This doesn't mean you just spray and pray. I pull it out and no no no no no no you actually prep everything anytime You have to pull the trigger on a gun nowadays. You better take advantage full advantage of every round you fire So you're practicing and shooting and somebody else will be observing. You will be using the firearm. You will bench it. You will be watching the firearm for activity, for action. What is transpiring? And again, use common to your protection and eye protection. Again, while it's available in peacetime, do it. Down the road you may not have the advantage of that most of the time or should say that kind of coverage simply because again, you're in a battlefield situation. A lot of stuff becomes an encumbrance for a while. hearing protection is kind of nice with heavy weapons though, so something to think about. You got a crew surf gun, might be a consideration. Also, shotguns, actually we've got to watch it because there's been some sales here and there. Centerfiresystems.com, one more time, Centerfiresystems.com, and that's a Browning 1919A for $2,800. They'll ship free to anywhere in the 48 states. That's not bad, that's actually pretty cool, because that's a big chunk of box there to move. personally go and pick it up it was close enough I sure as hell wouldn't trust a postal or UPS or you're gonna be postless from UPS or FedEx equipment I don't want to see anybody intercept or you know you know ski or pilfer on the way and there's only so many mouthers you don't want to lose it again rifle 1919-308 is the code system.com you give them a call 1-800-950-1231 they are available okay that was a squad gun actually support weapon for the platoon, it would be in the weapons section or it would be one of your support guns inside the squad designated either one fire team or the other. Another thing real quick is combat load. We mentioned mag pouches. There are a couple of companies that have some really cool items out there. Why? Well, the dollars I can save you in one direction means that you're going to be able to get more done in others. Now I would point out that there's a lot of companies, oh by the way, before I forget, that's Ohio Ordinance Works. you know we should have mentioned guys that's on the front page both the browning and the BIR that's what Georgia was talking about sorry about that Georgia I hadn't gone to the front page of Centerfire but if you go to the front page that is the featured item the 308 Browning and the 30 out 6 BIR the BIR though is chunk of change but there are a whole bunch of other items that are in their subcategory below that if you don't have enough SKS cleaning kit or AK cleaning kits around for the weapons you do have $5 or $10. That's one that jumps off the table right there that I really like. Those cleaning kits are awfully handy. They have the utility breakdown tool, which is especially handy. Any utility tools, that makes it worth the $2. The rest are all just extra goodies. But the breakdown tool itself is something that, again, ensures that the right tool is in the toolbox for working on the weapon that you have. onto other projects now one of the other things that i was uh... pointing out earlier talk about pocket this will work available out there well not a lot be quite honest uh... small handgun uh... some of the matters are inexpensive some of the matter just pretty well seem to have disappeared from the market uh... it doesn't mean you're not there locally or is where you're gonna find stuff either broadening is you know used uh... trade-ins or whatever and if that's how you gotta go that's how you go uh... but in the market itself One of the nicest weapons that I really would recommend, I'd be recommending it right now, if somebody has a source for them, raw seat revolvers, raw seat little J-frame stainless revolvers. A lot of you ladies out there have smaller hands. So again, the weapon for control and for accuracy, for bringing into service quick without any second thoughts, the revolvers are a plus. But Mark, is that a 15 shot or a 17 shot? We've talked about that. Most important is that the majority of your troops, your personnel and your people that you care for are not going to be combat troops, but they do need something to defend themselves with and you're going to have to spread your dollars out. The raw seas were knockoffs of the Smith and Wesson pistols typically, either in blue or in stainless, later on towards the end of the production run with whatever they've done becoming dominant. They were perfecting. I haven't seen any used ones in any quantity either. Whatever went out there and got sold pretty well as being kept. tell you something about the market slash the industry not the ever over don't sell it don't get rid of it you think you need an automatic some automatic pistol go by another gun don't trade in what you got seriously in fact we do have one of those rossie j frames or if you have one of their k-frames are not common but they're out there copy the model ten uh... in both cases by speed loaders all the standard h s k or sierra speed loaders whatever when you want to use that personal I like the HSK because of their size and because it's pretty straightforward to understand. Yes, you do have to use your fingers. You don't just use a palm system to push the rounds, but that is something you will develop with regard to skill and make them work. Speed loaders are a requisite, again, enhancing your combat operational performance. It's about five to six thousand times more, sometimes less. If you've got a guy that has an old cock shop box there on the table, You'll find speed loaders for sometimes a couple dollars a piece. Why? Because they're not as popular because revolvers are not as popular. If you have the revolvers in place, what you want to do is pile up more speed loaders. Remember, you can pocket them everywhere. Girls, you can carry them in your purse. Just make sure there's some place where they can be seen. You want to really be smart. You nest them so that you can easily access them. You don't want to be fumbling for that next speed loader. Mostly, again, we're looking at defense guns for garrison use. weapon has to be convenient uh... bigger heavier frame weapons guys don't have a problem ladies have different you know again considerations what they're put you may have to protect yourself doesn't mean that the revolver is just a lady's come out uh... five shot j frame is just fine for putting somebody down especially if they're in threat you're in a threat situation and any hand cannon will do in a storm anyway so don't worry about that i know all the debates and arguments more concerned with the idea we get macro volume out there that we get more people armed and that they are better trained at what they do and that they're properly equipped. And just the razor, it's the blades. Now again with revolvers, less concerned about the ammunition being persnickety because it is a revolver. So whatever you got in the way of unique rounds, go ahead and fly that puppy. Whatever you think is going to work for you, again I prefer for the 38. But anything else that they've got, round nose, jacketed round nose, lead round nose, point, hollow point, I don't care, whatever it is, most important is you know how it works and know what it does. Whatever your flavor of the day, favorite is an ammunition that you think is correct, you are right. And for that matter, I can't control what you're doing with whatever gun you're carrying, so whatever you think is right, you'll find out if it works or doesn't when the time comes. Again, inexpensive, you know, looking and perusing the system, the market has leveled towards about $280 to $300 per gun. Now I've warned you about this two years ago, a year ago, two years ago, three years ago, as long as we've been on the air here with the micro effect, and as long as I've been on the air. If we could find less expensive items, we would. You may have noticed that all of those NAGOT revolvers for like $99 a piece we told you about, ain't none of those to be had for $99 a piece, are there? Those PA-62s, the 63 pistols that were out there for, they started at $78, and then they went to $100, and then they went to $150, and now they're... almost three hundred dollars a gun again they're lingering just below that some of the again here of the devaluation of your currency combined with the press on the market which has not changed now there are a few deals here and there and again if you run into them or if somebody wants to dispose of something then take advantage of it now i've not forgotten the high point pistols those are still They're more expensive than they were, but they're still cheaper than the average gun out there. I have no problem with the high point. High point is nothing more. To me, it looks just like an HK from the 60s. And for anybody who goes, oh, I have an HK, here, that high point doesn't look like my HK. I just told you, it looks like an HK from the 60s. And if you don't know anything about the history of the HK pistol, you better go do a little research. It's lumpy. It's big. Yeah, well, obviously, you haven't looked at the HK pistols from the 60s. So do a little research, you'll find out what I'm talking about. Anyway, pretty don't count for me for Jack squat. Does it function? Yep. Is it a Chevy? Yep. Will it put a hole in you? Oh, hell yeah. So if that's what you need, again, if that's where you have to go, and I don't have a problem with that, make the gun work for you, find out how it works, pick what works best and run with that dog. That's fine. They are a fine firearm for what they are. And again, the price is reasonable and they're all American made. You're keeping Americans employed. You're going to keep a whole lot of people happy because it does have time warranty also. American-made. And there's lots of leather and holsters and all kinds of stuff that you can make work with the high points. But that is about it. The high points are the only thing that's in the under $200 range that's out there in any good quantity. And even there, for whatever reason, the markets are obviously absorbing pretty much all of them because any company that was offering the high points simply doesn't have any good number available. Anyway, we are headed towards the top of the hour. A reminder, again, it is the, oh no way, it can't be, yep, we're headed, we're now into the beginning of the fourth week of January. We have a number of different hand fests coming up at the end of the month here that are typical. You have to go to your internet, go do an internet search. There are two numerous to mention, but remember that signal communications is one of the issues, it's weapons. but signal communications can be brought up on any day and it will be, not just communications Tuesday. I would remind you that having micro FM stations are especially critical. The bad guys are going to try to cut off or destroy and they will. They'll cut off the big boys. The million dollar stations, the billion dollar stations, they're in the pocket of the system. But micro FM stations can be made totally mobile. You should have them on standby and again it's because everybody has a car radio and one way or another you're going to get to more people with that type of signal communications as emergency backup. number one so putting a micro fm station together highly be who that you do that okay uh... you can go to w w w dot the micro effect dot com the micro effect dot com and castle broadcasting guys they have micro fm technology the other thing retreats yeah even though it's winter it's not a big deal to take one of the little micro uh... dishes that's available through satellite and putting that in place and having that set up and targeted and operational uh... so that in the event we have what he liked uh... contamination uh... like your water supply and you can't read water locally and you might ever retreat that's in another remote location and you might just decide to move the family there so that they don't have to worry about migrating around uh... during the winter for water uh... something as simple as drinking water well that just happened Well, it doesn't mean you don't have to be able to see communications or things going on. If you get a RIC satellite system, put it in place, set up a couple of other radio rigs at the retreat site, out of sight, out of mind, what the eyes cannot see, the heart does not long for, then there's no reason for you to actually practice what you preach and actually go through the motion, get everybody to where they need to be, put the site online, turn on the switches, hook everything up. but a RIC satellite dish is a way to stay in transition range too when we're into a battlefield city inside the United States. Another thing, don't forget that we have uplinks too. Yeah, remember we've talked about this, how many uplink units we've bought and how much equipment we have. We can virtually pop a satellite at our discretion, something we've already had in place for quite some time. It's not a big deal. There's so many nodes and there's so much dead space up there in the satellite world right now. Guys, they've got, they're, The backups to backups to backups that were built into the satellite systems are very, very much a plus thing. Now they were designed because of solar flares and anticipated failures and problems with these birds in space because they're not going to send anybody up there to fix them. Well the neat thing is, is that there's a lot of back door technology and there's a lot of ways to use or bounce off those satellites. and to actually be able to send out signals that people can access. So that is part of the inventory in the long run. Those satellites are not going to go offline completely for us, in fact just in reverse. The bad guys' satellites even can be piggybacked in a dozen different ways. We've been doing that since back in the, I'm sorry, back in the 70s. That's old earth technology with regard to, shall we say, kind of a hacking, came into computers. We were already doing that with the satellites years ago. using the CIA dishes in downtown Ann Arbor. I'll point out again, sitting in a Fiat two-seater slide dish, you know, the aluminum, you remember the aluminum saucer slides? Using that as a parabolic dish, we bounced it off a CIA satellite dish up on the 27th story structure in downtown Ann Arbor, kicked that to a ham radio satellite that we bounced off of when we were talking to Czechoslovakia. We were playing billiards with satellite signals back in the 70s. That was back in 1975, as a matter of fact. of seventy four seventy five anyway on the farm keep technology all throw away and by the time you were done with a couple radio rigs in a little bit of it you read equipment in a microwave oven and expensive that we got those from one of the scrap site or a lot of radar ranges out there and they're all made by of and uh... with the radar anyway It can be done. We gotta do it. Gotta be ready for what is this coming. Y'all better be pumped up. Y'all better get motivated. And if you're worried about the robotoids, the hematoids, the hematoids, the hemorrhoids, whatever it is. Well, that, you're gonna need a lot more technology, so you better immerse yourself in it. Get involved with all these kids. The kids on YouTube are really having fun doing what people used to do when they had brains. And there's still people out there with brains. And they're improvising, adapting, and overcoming, and building stuff. Have you seen the pneumatic arrow shooters? I still build these pneumatic arrow shooters simply because you can leave them in places and make them one hell of a monster booby trap or you can use them just as a way to save ammo and like somebody in the right place. Oh yeah, and signal communications, electroplating, you name it. Guys, take a look at some of the ideas. I wouldn't, like, I've told everybody, don't throw away your coffee. Hot coffee makers. Don't throw away the corrects for the coffee makers. You know what, you know that high temp class is worth? Anyway, we're gonna go to the top of the hour, God bless the Republic. Death is a new world order we shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen. The Empire is on the run. We're in a march. Kick him to the side and beat him down hard. Today's weapons, Wednesday. Well, Pick what you need to fit your wallet and make sure that again you're consistent with regarding your ammunition. We'll be back a little bit, third hour of the intel report coming up. Of the class of 97. Where? Sunscreen. If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. Long-term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists. Whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience. I will dispense this advice. Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Nevermind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they fade. So trust me, for 20 years you look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can't grasp now the possibility laid before you and how fabulous you really looked. You are not as fat as you imagined. or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. The real trouble in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind. The lights are at 4pm on some one thing every day that scares you. Don't be reckless with other people's hearts. Don't put up with people you're reckless with yours. Flops. Don't waste your time on telling them sometimes you're ahead. The race is long. In the end, remember compliments. You forget the insult. You won't. Maybe you'll divorce at 40. Maybe you'll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary. Whatever you do, don't congratulate yourself too much. Order it yourself. Your choices are half chance. Art everybody else. Enjoy your body.
