AR-15 folding stock, fixed out of the rear. This is a new design guys, so take a look at this because this is all the best features of two rifles in one. Oh yes, the big thing is again selling feature guys on the AR. Isn't really the recoil system, that's nice, it's actually another selling feature. That magazine well, the positive bucket magazine well, is why you will see, especially in those famous images from the Tet Offensive around, you know, Hue, you see them just drop the mag and pop the other one in, and you're throwing the mag, they're throwing the rifles over their head and firing over a wall. In fact, they've tried to avoid showing that, and I believe there's a reason for that too. because it is a classic spray and pray shot. But the idea is to drop the mag, get one in, and pop the bolt carrier in, and literally they were holding the gun like it was a pull-up bar. But putting it over their head and hold the pistol grip and back down and as quick as they could bring it down, trade out the mags back up again. That feature is the most significant critical component of the AR. More so than anything else. That feature is the one that they took over to, this guy took over to the AK. The big thing, cheap government mags, lots of spare mags, American made mags, piles and piles of mags. Now in 223, obviously, lots of ammunition. We're still going to be having it here for a long time. It's a NATO standard too. We've dumped it on other people. Other people are making it. We're making it so there's lots of it around. So it was a light rifle idea. It is a sound conclusion. Now he also did not shorten this thing. In fact, this rifle has a typical AK girth, but he also went with a... because he's got the folding stock on it, it's got a little more length to the stock, or has the option for more length to the stock. So the ergonomic considerations, how can we adjust the weapon? Different shooters, especially people with bigger arms, because a lot of guys when they have the standard AK stocks go, it's short. Well, the AK stock, even though they knew that bigger people would be carrying it, was designed at its length for quick motion. It was designed to be brought up, sucked into the shoulder, controlled with the sling, and used in automatic fire as a what? It is an AK system, most important to understand. So there's some pretty cool, you know, again, they got some pretty cool ideas here. I don't have any interest in the folding stock on this, and I would not recommend it. I'll tell you that right now. Folding stocks have very narrow and specific applications, mostly for stowage purposes. When I say folding stocks, like on the AK, the, of the folding stock AK was designed to minimize, you know, bulk and space in the vehicle. Think about the guys inside a BMP. If you haven't been inside a BMP, trust me, it's cramped. There isn't a whole lot of room in most APCs. No matter how hard you try, stuff gets hooked on things. Guys, when you don't want to get hooked on it, it will. The lieutenant wants every man in there. He can get. Yeah, exactly. That's where the folders came in. Also, tank crews, vehicle weapons hang on walls until they're needed. And if the guy's using a tank, typically he's not supposed to. artillerymen, that's what short car beams were made for and folders. The car beams were made for men who weren't going to be pulling the trigger all the time and if they did, chances are they were being quote unquote threatened or their heavy weapons were being overrun. And the idea was to give them the ability to defend that very expensive, shall we say overly priced arm that they were using, the big one, the cruiser gun. Or even the ability to. The whole thing here is remember, Weapons in the toolbox, it's not because it's cool because you always see these movies and everybody using the short guns is supposed to have the real, you know, they're all very superior. No, they're not. The ones with little, you know, excuse me, the hacked chopped and, you know, small, full, little mutilated and fully stocked. They look interesting. They look neat because, you know, wow, that's cool. But as far as, again, accuracy, volume fire, and accuracy combined. Short stubby doesn't do it, especially when you see them. There are these big open areas and they're firing at hundreds, you know, 100 yards away and they're, you know, engaging targets all over the, the oil refinery or whatever BS it is. Throw that garbage out the window. Again, you need a full, a full-size weapon system to get the job done. There are applications for, you know, chopped and lopped, but it's limited. And then you get down to the handgun category. You know, there's an overlap there where you make it so small, it's a handgun. Specialty clearing rooms. Yeah, exactly. And even there, handgun can do more of that or a shot can do more of that in this conventional length without being short. Yep. It'll do a fine job. That's done. So, yep.
