Mark Koernke discussed preparedness shopping deals on December 18, 2013, highlighting military surplus items and firearms components available through retailers like KeepShooting.com, Delton.com, and CenterfireSystems.com. He reviewed specific sales including French Army grenade bandoliers, AR-15 lower parts kits, and German military gear. A caller raised concerns about proposed lead ammunition bans, prompting an extended technical discussion about alternative bullet materials, penetration physics, and ammunition design history spanning from World War I to modern ballistics. Koernke and caller Henry Outenorgan explored custom ammunition manufacturing using stainless steel, copper jackets, and advanced projectile designs to circumvent potential regulations.

He took off his three-cornered hat and speaking low to me he said, We've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations this legacy we gave. In this the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each God-given right, we only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave? It's clearing up a little bit, which may or may not be good. We had a little bit of melt. We had gray in the morning, sunshine during the middle of the day, a little increase in temperature. Now all that melt's going to be ice on the roads. So if you're going out tonight, I highly recommend, especially in the southern Michigan, northern Ohio, Indiana, y'all better slow down. You see dark patches on the road. It's ice. Why? Well, as soon as that temperature drops, that sun disappeared. uh... she's going down and that means anything left on the road melted going to lock into place so let's make sure we be cautious to and from work on the way sound good good to me uh... it is the oh no it can't be already not the bomb bomb bomb it's the 18th of December well which means nothing really accepted the 18th of December it is the fifth year of open Fabian the socialist and Soviet socialist occupation of America with a 2013 old earth calendar or Mayan crazy crazy town calendar and for everybody out there www.center fire system dot com i want to see i got a look at it do this i get to the slow way i got to put it there first i'll put it in the chat chat room there for our friends centerfiresystems.com and no christmas fail ball what the heck is this and we are now we're looking at the eighteen here guys at the end of the day Things are pretty well just kind of stuck where they are. So again, if you're paying attention, if you see any special Christmas sales, let us know. We'll pass it on. There are some pretty cool buys at KeepShooting.com. If I can only get that in the chat room this afternoon here, everybody, I got black and white helper here who's trying to, a new young fuzzball, trying to play keyboard operator, doesn't help. www.keepshooting.com. keep. Now why would you want to go there? Well, I'll tell you what, because, well, you know, I keep shooting, needless to say. It is Weapons Wednesday. I want to make sure we touch on these things real quick. Guys, I want our people to get this stuff. There's some really decent buys in a few areas. Not everything, I mean, but there are some super sales and such. And German Kevlar helmets. Oh, Christ! Oh, I mean, oh, gee. Yes, they have a number of different items that are on sale but not really so much being pushed as a Christmas sale. I just want to bring that up to everybody there. However, there are some marked down items that are definitely worth looking at. So if you go there and then go to their Clothing, well actually go to their super sales. That's where you want to head first. OK, Perlmatic. You sit over here. There we go. Now when you get over to the super sales, I want you to scroll down to the second line of the super sales. And there is a special section there. Special, it's special. Do you think it's special, sir? Well, it says it's special. I don't doubt it. Anyway, it's French Army grenade bandolier. Now these are grenade pouches and they are CCE which is US Woodland but it's the French version so this will blend in with all of your other Woodland gear. If you've got Woodland equipment, probably the best example of where these really work well if you have the Granada type of salt vest that takes the US pistol belt down below you may have already put some things on that pistol belt. Well here's the cool thing, this is actually a made up kit something that one of our companies have dealt with for years does. They took a German A really good one. These are very well made belts. I would say probably the best pant belt of its type that was ever made. I don't know why or how the Germans qualified except that they wanted to use it to make sure your drawers stayed up. If you'll notice on a lot of the older German equipment they had a little bit of a wider belt loop than we have on our US gear. This belt is Y and that's the belt. It's the core of this bandolier now. Otherwise, it's got seven That's right. Seven double pocket Grenade pouches guys. They're in Woodland Camel. They're virtually new and They have them on sale you get seven pouches and that belt now seven double pocket. So that's 14 pockets and you get the belt but they're side by side. So there's seven pieces, two pockets each and a belt for five dollars. Yeah, you can't really beat the price. These are military items. This is original French Army grenade bandolier. We don't know what it is, it's grenade pouches. The French grenade pouches can be used on any type of belt or can be adapted to many load-bearing vests. Okay, now these are well made. They are Velcro closure. So if you are looking for something for your 510 program or if you already have a Woodland system put together, this is a good compliment to those of you who are using the Woodland Standard system. They are on sale for $5. Normally they say they are $11 a set. $5 a set is not bad because pretty much any pouch you try to buy is going to run you around $1. So you get seven double pocket pouches and the extra, when you get this you'll understand what I'm talking about, these are really nice belts and they're very well made. It's a German issue belt. I blew the thing up, I could pick it out by the buckle. So it's something you had a whole bunch of because a bunch of them would come out of the Austrian and German surplus system, the industry here just a little bit ago. And the belts, I have about 40 of these in reserve in just one pod. I wear one of these as a work belt with hammers and tools and all kinds of other stuff on it because the belt is tough. It's tougher than a US pistol belt in many ways. It doesn't have the eyelets though. So you get a belt and you get seven pouches for $5 and that is a good price. In fact, you're looking for something to great stocking stuffers or stuff to put into the Christmas tree, order this tonight, get this out of the way, buy some. I'm going to try to get some if you guys beat me, I'm going to really feel bad. But I'm not worried about it. Whoever gets there first gets it. And these are definitely worthwhile. I bought some of those 99 cent pistol mag pouches. Before they all sold out you guys got a bunch of them too, but we got them all all of us did our side did all of our people The big thing is that this is a good price now again every key mark. Where is that again? www.keepshooting.com www.kepshooting.com that's www.keepshooting.com. Now when you get there, then go to, there's a section in big red letters, super sale deals. Wow, super sale deals. Not just sale deals, but a super sale, which means, well it should be. Well actually there's some good prices on some things. Going from the top of the list to the bottom I would point out AR-15 lower parts kit. Everything to go in the lower receiver guys to put it online. All internal, all pins, springs, the pistol grip, etc. Everything there, $37.95 so I would say $38. That's a good price. That's actually a very good price and a couple dollars below the cheapest one we've seen over the last couple of weeks. The French mag pouch slash grenade ventilator which is seven French double pocket grenade pouches and a German service belt is $5. That's in the second row. That's a good price. Now there is another multi pocket there. It's a French three grenade pouch. It's a copy of the US World War II airborne grenade pouch. It's $2.50. If you're already using that unit, that type of unit, you understand that's a leg hanger, guys. It's got a leg tie. It is a leg hanger type grenade fixture, okay, a bag fixture. Another thing, they're off to the side right next to that German 120mm mortar scope. If you guys have something that goes boom, boom, you know, you drop around on the top of it, goes out the top of it and goes down range, boom. Well, optics for $10. Something to experiment with if nothing else. You get a chance to see what we're talking about. We talk about mortar optics. 120mm mortar scope. and it's ten dollars so that's a giveaway price for that next and this is all on the first page at the very bottom on the left side german army over boots uh... black basically a zipper version of the green ones from colman's these are black they are five dollars a pair that's a reasonable price and at five dollars a pair they are in eights nines and tens by the looks of the size range that they listed with this Again, that's on the Super Sale section right on the first page. There are four items that are of interest. One other item, it's pricier. It really is. Interestingly enough, there's nobody that has this that I know of except for these people. It's past the surplus industry wholesalers and it's pretty well out there only as a third item, say a retail item that's left in sale because they're running out of them. Italian Alpine Park is for $50. Now if you take a look at those, that's at the bottom of that first page of the sales section. It's a duster length, if you haven't noticed that. It is a much longer coat, insulated, fur collar, it's got a hood. They run $50 a piece and they're running at what appears to be, I think, let's see, what do they got? Size extra large, 50 to 52 metric. So, take a look at that. Again, if you're looking for a cold weather coat for an emergency coat, for instance, for your vehicle, this is not a bad choice. Actually, pretty good design, I think. I've seen these before. Haven't had these in a long time. I don't know where they got this particular batch, and they've got them marked down. So they're trying to get them off the shelf for the winter. You know, move them out. Not the cheapest, but serviceable. Definitely nice. Most important are the other items I mentioned. I'm going to go top to bottom again. The AR-15 lower parts kit. The French army grenade bandolier, that's really the most important one as far as for gear goes because that's the best price. You're getting a lot of stuff for a little bit of money. If you guys are standardized on woodland camo, this is a good choice. It's good equipment. The French build okay. The Germans build okay or to very good excellent as far as quality goes. And then there's also the French three-pow, three grenade pouch. Those come from Sturm. I know exactly where those were. ordered from and they're two dollars and fifty cents a piece which makes them again a really decent item for the price and then the German army over boots that's the German army over boots check that out see if it's worthwhile oh let's see there was one other thing well there are some German G36 range finding optics I am NOT familiar with this I think I know what it is but I'm not familiar with this particular unit I'm going to have to find out more. I'm going to give them a call tomorrow on that one. But definitely on again, the bandoliers, the rubber boots, both types of bandoliers are useful. The OD green ones, let me give you a hint. They're short enough as grenade pouches that those would work as M1 Grand Pockets. Frank D clips guys, just think about that. I'm going to have to spec them out. As soon as I get a length on them, they might also work with SKS 10 round stripper clips. So there's another consideration. If you use either, I would make plastic inserts to rigid the sides and to protect the ammo. It's not that hard to do. corrugated plastic, okay, plastic cardboard, you've seen it, you get signs in it all over the place and Mr. Super Glue or another different, there's a number of different bonding glues you can use that will just work like weld. And you can make a really nice separator carrier system for your ammo and in the process you've got something that is modern, which is the other thing everybody's looking for. Also, they can make great utility pouches or what they're meant for, grenade pouches. So something to take a look, but for the price, You can't beat them. Again, seven pouches and the German combat belt for $5. That's the one I emphasize of all the things on the page. The other items, well you take a look and see if there's anything else that's useful. And again, shop around. If you think you can get a better price, well fantastic. I don't know where these French pouches came from. If they're this price through this company, Then whoever's carrying them. It's an oddball or an odd man out thing I haven't seen these the only company that did something like this Is really been down in inventory and I haven't seen them doing anything with these types of pouches before so But it's their MO the way it was put together. So I'll find out what I can Meanwhile, definitely a Christmas item, but you got to move fast here. It is look at the date guys You got to get the order in now and even then you go might want to call and say hey You're gonna be able to get this over to me before Christmas We do have enough business days to get it done but we are on the edge of that right now. It's why I'm surprised that nobody is putting up any really good Christmas deals. Now I was told by three or four of the companies today, talked to a couple others this afternoon, one or two this morning after we did the program, and everybody is saying the same thing. They got hammered with the Black Friday sales. A lot of people, whatever they had on sale there, it beat them down hard. And even if they weren't on sale, for whatever reason everybody got in their mind they were going to spend money on Black Friday. And because of that, a lot of stuff was bought out. A lot of it, unexpected, bought out. Which I think is rather interesting in talking to the girls at one of the ammunition companies. They said, well we really didn't expect to see a big rush on Black Friday or just after, but we did. So it may be that because they made ammunition or may made weapons deals, they bought stuff somewhere else, these guys might have decided, hey, you know, we need some ammo, so we're going to go clean out what we need for that because we got the rifle, we got the mags on sale, we better go get some ammunition. I don't know. The other thing is, one of the companies I have been mentioning, you guys have probably responded quite well. If you do call up to any of these companies, you could help us out by mentioning that you heard about them on our program. Doesn't hurt, guys. And I hear somebody in the background, and we have a caller. I probably hear me in the background, I think, by the sound of it. There's a radio there. Anyway, for everybody out there listening, www.del-ton, or delton, or delton, however you want to pronounce it, that's fine. But spelling it is del-ton.com. OK? Let's put Delton.com up on the board. I called the girls today and said, Hi, how are you doing? What's happening? What's the buzz? Tell me what's happening. What's the buzz? Tell me what's happening. Well, we did. Last week, they got hit Black Friday like a lot of other people with a lot of sales. However, the next thing is, last week, we started mentioning Delton. A lot of you guys went in and cleaned about. They are out of most barrels and most of the kits and because they are out of the barrels they've been selling a lot of barrels but then again anybody who's making them is doing that. That's the weak point in all categories with firearms kits right now guys and that's intentional that is not accidental. So if you run into barrels, hold on, if you run into barrels for the M16 air you know air 15 rifle and you get some cheap at a yard sale you see somebody with a pile of stuff from the National Guard Because that usually happens. Somebody has a collection of stuff they saved up, grab it. Barrels especially, bolt carriers especially. Both those items are high priority. Bolt carriers are going to be a premium down the road anyway. However, they do have one barrel. They have a 16 inch heavy barrel with the AR-15 kits that is in stock. And that's the one you'll want to order. If you're going to do a 16 inch gun and I can't stop you from doing that or you think it's what you need, I don't have a problem with that. Rather than wait for other stuff buy the heavy barrel. The heavy barrel is in stock. She confirmed that. They've got the heavy barrel 16s in stock and they're full weight heavy from the tip of the barrel to the receiver and not all barrels are built that way. So this is a tack driving barrel. Anyway, that's www.del-ton.com. Take the time, go to the page. When you go to the rifle kits, The heavy barrel 16 inch, it will probably be built like a car 15 slash an M4. It's going to have a folding stock but remember that's everything except the lower receiver. So you can either go to AriesArmor.com and get the 80% finished plastic or aluminum. Or you can go to Centerfire and CenterfireSystems.com, CenterfireSystems.com, CenterfireSystems.com. They have AR-15 lowers for $55 a piece which is a pretty reasonable price. So between the two locations guys you can build an AR of your own and you'll know exactly what went into it. Okay, we got a caller there. Who do we have? Yeah, hi Mark. This is Mark. I was just, you know, I'm not, I've just learned about PAMO and weapons basically from Henry Shively and you. I haven't really been that much into it except for just a couple of years ago, but I just put up an article on the trenches about this regulation banning lead bullets and they're going to green ammo. Could you talk a little bit about that? They're talking about going from lead to copper. Right. If they do that, the idea behind it, and they really couldn't force us to go to just copper. This is the thing. Copper, in reality, what they are trying to do is drive up the cost because copper is a lot more expensive than scrap lead or bulk lead the way they have been using it. And the way we would and the way we do. I am not going to stop using lead bullets. You are not going to stop. But we already saw a taste of this five years ago. I am going to jog everybody's memory. This is the year 2013. Back five years ago, almost six, when we had the first grab on all the ammo's when Obama was coming into play and everybody knew that they were going to shove him down our throats, did maneurs, the communists were stacking everything up. Ammunition disappeared, remember? And then it started to come back, but it came back really expensive. And the one that was most expensive was the 380 Auto ammo. You might recall that some of that stuff was called green ammo. It also had lead free on the side of it and it cost about 4-5 times as much as the standard 380 auto ammunition that it replaced. Now that kind of pittered away and disappeared. It's still out there. Some people bought it because any ammo was better than no ammo. They may not have bought a case but they bought boxes. And this is like the fifth wave where they've pushed to try and ban the lead ammunition in general to make it hard for people to get ammo. I would point out that we're forced to go to copper bullets, period. I don't have to buy those from a bullet manufacturer. In fact, it would behoove somebody who has a CNC lathe to start building bullets. And there'd be no reason for everybody not to if they're going to force us to go to solid armor piercing bullets. Ooh, did I say that? See, because one thing to remember is that if you give me something where I have to take a non-distorting solid bullet, I'm going to start making more and more of a spire or conical ball round that's solid copper for like, say, my 9 millimeter. And when it hits body armor, it's not really going to slow down at all. Now, case in point, originally years ago, back in World War I, and in the pre-World War I period, guys, if you haven't done the ammunition research, understand that the Luger and the 9mm Bouchard's, along with the 9mm Steyr's, did not use a bulbous tapered bullet of the type that you are so familiar with today. Originally, when these rounds came out, they were a tapered pyramidal type of projectile. What was the advantage of this? Well, their argument was it was more aerodynamic and it was supposed to actually have better performance going down range, but the one thing it did have was phenomenal penetration, especially through objects that might restrict or be hampering you to get through to the soft, chewy part, the person underneath. Up until the middle of the war of WWI, the 9mm, Parabellum was issued as often as not in the conical slash the pyramidal bullet rather than the bulbous tapered ball round that everybody would be familiar with later in pretty much every caliber that we know of. The 9mm were done that way and they also did 30 caliber Luger to a limited degree. In both cases with a simple lead core projectile with a heavy copper jacket or a heavy steel jacket with copper wash or nickel wash, these had incredible penetration potential. Something to think about there. Well, the reason they went to the bulb as designed was actually to try to deliver more energy against soft targets. Trench warfare being what it is, everybody's kind of close. So the rounded ball became more dominant. Now as far as feed with regard to the conical, it fed flawlessly in the Luger and it fed flawlessly in the Bouchard and it fed flawlessly in the Steyr machine pistol. Actually, it was a Model 95, Model 03. Anyway, the Steyr, like the Broomhandle Mauser of its day, in 9mm or in 7.6, was it 7.6.4, no 7.6.3 Mauser, which is really the same cartridge as the Tokarev. The interesting thing is that in any of these other pistols of the day, they didn't use a detachable magazine from below, they also used a stripper clip like the Broomhandle Mauser. They actually dropped the slide to the rear, used the stripper clip on the top, up, drop your rounds into the magazine, extract the charger and let the slide go forward and pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. So the Stire was a very successful design, but a little, just a little slower with regard to that magazine system. Both weapons were successful. Both weapons were very deadly. A lot of people died from those guns. And even after World War I, a lot of other people died from those guns. So they worked. The ammunition today, we could go through aluminium. We could go to copper, we could go to brass, we don't necessarily want to go to steel, although we could do some interesting things that we experimented with back in the 70s when they tried to push the lead ammunition ban back then. So it's not a new thing. If it happens, we need to be on the edge. But first rule, know where all of your lead is. I don't care what they pass. It's not going to make any difference. We'll just keep harvesting lead in a number of different ways. and or other malleable or other soft metals. I would point out that it doesn't have to be lead. There are a lot of low-end pot metals that would work as a projectile. They're going to be a little lighter in terms of density, but the advantage of them is that when they hit, they're horribly frangible. And I would remind everybody, guys, well, Mark, that round is kind of crusty or crystalline. In other words, when it hits it fractures kind of like the windshield of a car in the part the individual components are jagged and angular and cubic. And just imagine if you shot somebody with that and it hits, and once it hits. It explodes and creates three, four, or five wound channels that each one is about, say, 15 grains. It's like hitting somebody with a Glaser safety slug. It would be devastating. So if they want to go away from it, which is what they're going to push, they think they're doing this to block ammunition, it's not going to do anything. It's going to create a new industry. And not the least of which is, well, copper is not magnetic, right? So, what are they going to use for a test to prove that my copper washed bullets are copper? Unless they, again, the idea behind this is for the EPA to enforce or attack you for a unit. What have you got in that gun? Well, if that's another way for the communist push that stuff, some EPA people are going to get shot and eventually everybody's going to get tired of them and that'll start the war. Any number of things where they keep pressing with more bureaucracy are going to get people shot and start the war. So, this is just another goofy angle where the eco-freak pantyways think that we're going to be listening to them. Most everybody is not. And that's a fact. So, with regard to the lead bullet men, we've already had it or they were already prepared for this. They were already ready for the green weenies and the bullet manufacturers already knew that this was on the horizon or were ready to cave in on this before. Not a long long time ago only since Obama went just as old bummer was coming in offices the bad-eared Barry Satoro the teleprompter reading fool from the outhouse Was taking charge so again aluminum Frangible metals. I love some of the low melt pot metals that are out there because they would fully conform. They're not lead and And the only thing it says is that it can't be lead, but as far as these other materials go, well then this drives us up into AP, armor penetration. The other mean thing, let's say I can make a very quiet and really mean AP copper round that could have a higher density copper iron or copper steel rod core, a copper outer body, in fact the whole outer body being made of copper, it wouldn't be a problem. I have good contact with the lens and grooves when it slaps the target. The solid base of the copper projectile shoves the annealed penetrator into the body armor, shoves it through the body armor, and drags all the material that was around it into the wound channel. See, that's one thing about the hydraulic effect of all these projectiles, guys, especially if you make the jacket or you make the outer material softer. First, what happens is the cup pushes the penetrator through the armor itself. It continues to project whatever kinetic energy is available to the base of the penetrator. Once the penetrator moves past that surface though, and as the outer jacket is expanded to a flat surface that is already flexible because it has been seared or scored, What happens is the base of the cup or the base of the bullet continues to follow through the wound channel and then drags the other components all bet as they start to collapse or shear towards the center of the entrance channel and then they wing off and fall apart as they move through the expansion wound channel created by the penetrator and by the base. It takes longer to describe than it does to happen. But what actually transpires if you haven't seen what a bullet does in flesh or muscle tissue is that it expands it in the initial contact. It's like a balloon. There is an opening of the tissue. Now think about this. While that's happening, all this frangible and damaged material, the components of the bullet that sheared and are still moving forward at the velocity of the bullet, Well, as the wound channel collapses on itself and the bullet is either ensconced in muscle tissue or it penetrates through to the other side and continues to move out, all of these frangible components that have been created are now dispersed through what is now closed, where it expanded and opened up. Now the muscle tissue encapsulates all of that fragmentation. Those secondary components are not easily tracked with a probe. It means that you would have to individually probe the wound channel constantly and of course they don't always have enough anesthetic for that one. To try and find all the little chunks of material that you just shoved into the target. They initially were one big chunk but they'll start to sloth off as resistance is created by the tissue or hitting a bone or other components such as tendons and those frangible pieces will stay with whatever they hit. The penetrator itself does a tremendous amount of wound damage on the way through. So if they want to continue this BS, we've already done all the research on it, this is something we need to start emphasizing with everyone. There's all kinds of other hellacious metals out there we can use and they're not lead so everybody will feel good about it. Since that's the agenda, let's shove it down their throats. How's that sound? By the way, there's other tank and artillery technology in terms of projectiles that can be built that would create even more monstrous and effective long-range projectiles that would have similar performance. Good, deep penetration but also frangibility. Go ahead, caller, who do we have? This is Henry Outenorgan. On subject, my brother Art, he machined him an 8mm bullet for his 8mm Mauser. He brought it down enough so he could put a thin jacket on it. We haven't got to finish it, but I was thinking, it's stainless steel. That stuff's so hard, they'll melt your drill bit when you drill into a piece of it. Think about that stainless. Then we were talking about milling the back of it out and then putting some lead in there to give it some weight and then covering it with the jacket. What do you think that would do? That would work, but you know one of the things to remember if he starts with a smaller, here's where the formula works and what's really cool is you pick the right materials. Stainless steel has over 500 stainless steels at least available in the industry. Of that there are millions of geometric forms and things you can buy from the steel industry, but one thing that you can get is rod. Now, what you do to eliminate your barrel wear is you take the same ID you've come up with, but you come up with a two-step case. You take a copper jacket that can make a copper cup jacket that can be done in a couple different ways, not the least, which is with plumbing. There's plumbing fixtures or components that would work for this. Again, go to the industry. We could find something that would do the deed. But even if we used copper jacket, as in tubing on the outside, a cup for the base, basically a gas check, you could nest that same stainless steel rod inside a copper jacket so that it would mow lands and grooves and connect. The jacket would stay with the projectile. When it goes down range, that copper jacket would serve, especially since, let's say you don't get it heavier, you leave it the weight it's at. Remember that that stainless can handle the initial wear, especially the friction, something we were talking about a couple days ago. The adhesion issues are settled because the copper isn't going to lock on the way the stainless or regular steel, carbon steel would to the barrel, to the lans and grooves. Number one, reducing wear and tear. It would create an excellent gas check for performance. In other words, you're going to get all the energy slapped behind the round. And that stainless steel, that really hard stainless steel with that diamond point tip on it, which is where you'd spend your machining time. Oh yeah, that going down range, when that hit whatever it hit, you could push that probably into the 4,000 feet per second range. There's a number of ways to do it, but especially with some of the higher powders, depending on the heavy, you know, what chamber, what cartridge you use to push it. It would make everybody wish they were shot with an M2AP round. Let's put it that way. Because that stainless steel, there's nothing going to slow that or distort that. That's just like using the carbon dart penetrators that they used in the M2, which were a high carbon steel that had been tempered and was machined to a point. In fact, it was a projectile within a projectile the way it was built. If you ever take an M2 and look at some of the bullets recovered, You'll run into penetrators every once in a while that's stuck with a jacket and you take those apart. So the basic design of that is what you would go with for a penetrator because the Army did all the research on the penetrator taper and the cut and the angle. But yeah, stainless with any kind of... You can go a little below the dimension, let's say it's 7.62. You make the stainless steel projectile 7.60 or 7.61 and then you can malleably coat it with a copper, either copper plating it repeatedly or with again some form of a fabricated copper jacket with a base cup would be best. But you can use a gas check to make that base cup. and that way you'd have full advantage of as much of that stainless in terms of volume. The copper is minimized, which I hate wasting copper, you know what I mean. It's good that it's going to a good cause, but copper is valuable in other ways, but in this case, the copper would give you the contact surface for your lands and grooves, and it would, on impact at the other end, lubricate the bullet. See, most people don't realize, where everybody thinks you need Teflon or something like that, All of these soft metals on the outside of a hard surface, well the instantaneous friction because of the kinetic energy slapped against the target is such that it builds up calories at a massive level all at once. The copper becomes malleable if not molten and it becomes like a spewing lubricant that pushes its way through everything. I mean it goes through steel and it helps the penetrator go through steel or through Kevlar. He took it down to a needle point. The only reason I really wanted to put that lead in the back of it is just to see what it would do if it hit something really hard. Do you think about that lead being inside the bullet with the jacket up around it? When it comes to that sudden stop, it's something that would... The hydraulic effect, now there's where you get into a similar spalding effect, just like I was talking about earlier. Yes, what would happen if you had a lead base? Now the only consideration there is weight, is balance and weight ratio. Because remember, you put more weight to the rear, but depending on how you get it, as long as you're careful, you don't bore too deep. What would happen is, yes, the lead would work as a hydraulic, and it would spread the base. Now, what that would do, there's two things that it would do. Number one, it would be as it was impacting, so it would still penetrate the way it's supposed to, but then it would almost work like air brakes. Only in this case it would be meat brakes. Think about it, you're going from the 792 Mauser projectile bullet to the base exploding because the lead, you know, it's your old story, equal in the opposite reaction. That mass is still in motion, but unlike the thinner steel jacket around the outside that you've milled or drilled into place, when that lead needs to go somewhere, it would push the sidewalls out and that would expand the diameter, the base diameter, not the front, the base diameter of the bullet. Now how that would affect the tissue, I would say that again, that would just be monstrous. It would slow the projectile down, delivering more energy against the target. Most people do it the other way around, hollow point, and we expand it from its normal dimension out to, you know, like say 45 goes to 55 caliber or 50 caliber. 45's don't expand that much. say 9mm or .357 Magnum, they open up to .44, .45, up to .50 caliber depending on the bullet like with the old Super Vels. In this case what it would do is it would open up the base and spread it. It would split it, crack it, whatever. And the other thing that would do to the bullet, Henry, that would also probably pitch it. Think about what it would do. It wouldn't break uniformly. So, the tail end of the projectile opened up to beyond 8mm. We start to dig into tissue and meat. The lead would spray all through. That would be the other part, is you'd have garbage all through the wound channel. It just ain't coming out. It would. It ooze out after a while. Okay. But what would happen is that would also create tremendous pitch and yaw with regard to the bullet, which makes for a really monstrous bullet yaw and wound channel. Wow, that sounds like fun. I think I'm going to do it. Here's the thing. The 545x39 bullets that are out there, guys, that 53 grain one that I've been talking about for years, the one that was the cheapest one. When the Russians came out with the 545, they got mean with that bullet. Most people don't remember the history of that, but we'll refresh everybody's memory. The front of that jacketed bullet is either hollow for about an eighth of an inch or it's filled with powdered plastic and what that does is aerodynamically it's stable because of the jacket going downrange but the moment it hits a person the pitch and yaw and tumble inside the wound channel is even more monstrous than an M16 round and in many cases what happens is the front of that projectile flattens out to about 38 caliber It will expand or rupture if you are really lucky. That is mostly the case I am sure. They are the ones that did all the research. It expands and ruptures and bursts open. Then you have this shearing piece of tumbling metal going through the wound channel. That happens from the front end. Think about this. That is where the projectile is sealed at the front. There is more than enough hydraulic effect to splay and flatten and destabilize the bullet in the wound channel and that is a solid piece of metal up front. Think about what is going to happen if the base of that bullet because of the hydraulic effect of that lead opens up and then destabilizes what it is going to be like. It would just go in every direction. It would be a silly story. It hits you in the elbow and comes out your arse. It hits you in the elbow and comes out the side of your head. The bullet would follow the path of least resistance, hit a bone, hit a tendon, follows that, goes through something else, and on the way, drops off chunks and pieces. That 8mm would do a whole lot more damage than a .223. Oh yes, and not only that, one of the tricks, remember the basic rule of fragmentation, guys. The best example is this. A Mark II grenade looks really cool. A pineapple grenade looks really cool, doesn't it? I mean, we all think it does. We'd like to have a pineapple grenade course. Well, remember that the serrations on a pineapple grenade were on the outside. Now that worked. But here's the thing they don't talk about. Modern grenades are not seared on the outside. That's why their holes are smooth on the outside. Modern grenades are scored on the inside. And that way, the shock, and they slash the shock wave, of that explosion inside that little blast chamber. The explosive slap, the velocity, hits the path of least resistance, which are the grooved slots in between the sheared metal, or what is the actually sheared metal, where they've scored it on the inside. When it slaps that, that creates the fragmentation that sprays out away from the center of the explosion. Now in addition to that, typically most grenades have a piece of copper or steel wire that's been wrapped around a mandrel. It is tempered, but before it's tempered, it's notched. And they notched about every 3-8 of an inch. What does this do? This creates a coil of fragmentation and the notches are on the inside of the coil towards where the explosive charge is. Now, why did I bring that up? Well, your 8mm round is a cool idea, but since you've got a machinist handy, if you were to butterfly score on the inside, say at all points of the compass, and then at northeast, southeast, southwest, and northwest, you would have eight little butterfly shearing points and that would open that thing up just like it looked like something out of a sci-fi movie like a rocket trying to throw in its retro boosters or trying to slow down during reentry. And what that would do again would uniformly expand the separation of the base of the case on impact. Wow, that sure would. And then you'd have this porcupine in the Arsen It would be like a meat grinding fish hook. Think about what it would be. You'd have eight shearing surfaces spinning at the velocity of the bullet as it impact, grinding its way into muscle and bone. It would be from the base, so as soon as it starts that, it would start to slow down. The advantage of that Remember you have either the ice pick effect because of focused energy on the front of the projectile or by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by doing this, by It increases the amount of damage done to the objective target itself, which is what's behind the armor. Which in this case we're looking at body armored troops. So how do we deal with them? How can we hurt them? Wow. And an ultimate staple into the back armor, Henry. You're really mean on this one. Think about it. Well, you think about just the pure knockdown part of the thump of a big bore rifle and throw something like that behind it, it'd be devastating. Right, and the big thing is we've always looked at it is the idea we've got front and rear body armor. So, you know, we don't have to go through the back. And while I kind of was joking about that, you know, what's going to happen is that body armor at some point is going to do its job and stop the bullet. But what if it stops the bullet while it's trying to get out rather than the bullet when it's trying to get in? Or you'd want to shoot half of them in the front and half of them in the back and then you could salvage the body. Yeah, it takes two to get one vest. Well, I'll tell you what was something like that, what I can picture because, in fact, I just moved the case of test armor I had from 19, I got crates of armor from Second Chance and also from a DOD source. back in the seventies and we tested and I just moved that crate. I just, you know, yesterday I had because we have snow here and I had it in, I've got it in storage and I've got a bunch of the other armor that's just pieces but you know it looked bad enough with the stuff that we created that was copper that was using an exploding projectile, you know using a BB, a Magnum primer and we were recessing 380 auto rounds and that just chews the snot out of that armor up front. You know it blows it apart turns it to fluff. A meat grinder blade unit like we're talking about, a butterfly base, would shear it. It would just be shredded and here's the other nasty thing. It would be dragged into the wound channel too. This keeps getting worse every time you say something. Yeah, and cloth, all the cloth would be dragged through. We had one guy that when I did a media action he was shot. I've mentioned this guy before. I was looking right in when he got shot. It went through his combat boot. It dragged his wool sock through the wound channel. and out the other side. The only thing that was good for whatever reason, act of God. Didn't hit a bone, didn't hit an artery, didn't hit a tendon, that was a miracle. Went through both sides of the top of the boot, right at the worst possible point. Dragged the wool sock, the OD Green wool sock through, but it kept all the strands in one piece so I could pull them through the wound channel. In other words, I got them out right away while it was fresh. You don't want to wait, guys. You know, you start having to work on stuff while people are feeling stuff. Like I was talking about having to probe for projectiles. doing that later, that's a different world. No matter how much you try to do the painkiller thing, mostly they'd want you out cold because there ain't no way you'll find all the nerves you need to deaden. He's doing my favor to punch him right between the eyes, huh? Yeah. Don't worry. And here's the problem, with the pain you're inflicting, he'll probably be right back up. You have to punch him twice. Well I got some food coming at me so I'm going to jump off here and let somebody else talk. Thanks Mark. Thanks for bringing up Henry. Appreciate that. Uh oh we're already at the top of the hour too. My goodness. Well, that didn't take long, guys. Anyway, that was Henry. And guys, go to fromtretchesworldreport.com. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave, in this, the land of the free. and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money is spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. and your daughters visit doctors so their children will be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Oh, sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God, to get the torture freedom bright. As I awoke, he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame, for even now as tyrants trampled each God given
