Mark Koernke discussed cold weather preparedness, including Mickey Mouse boots, winter gear sourcing, and affordable alternatives from Coleman's clearance section. He recommended militia reading materials including Max Velocity's 'Patriot Dawn' and 'The Squad and Assault Cycle,' emphasizing tactical concepts like breaking contact and withdrawal from position. Koernke analyzed the Battle of Bunker Hill as a historical example of failed withdrawal planning. Caller Bill raised questions about military surplus spotting scopes from Fair Radio, freezer acquisition for food storage, and low-frequency radio operations. The show covered radio frequency coordination for Liberty Net, American Net, and PoSnet operations on 3.995 and 3.790 MHz, antenna setup best practices, and tube-based radio equipment. Koernke discussed military nuclear weapons development, Desert Storm NBC sensor readings, and the Frankfurt Arsenal research on small arms ammunition variants, arguing that low-frequency radio technology remains critical for post-nuclear communication scenarios.
buying it at volume price we were buying case upon case upon case of them and we couldn't keep up. So a lot of you guys are listening on the CB channel 27 channel 29 this morning. I want to say good morning guys you can do CB but remember with the older rigs especially to cool them. You can do use a tube rig. Typically those will run a little hot but with modern reduction fans and everything that can be used man you will have a clean clean All the sound is fantastic. In fact, most people wonder, what are you using? That's awful clear. Well, it's because of it. Most people don't want to talk about. In fact, they started to resurrect tube technology here nine and 15 years ago after everybody said, ha ha ha tubes. And then somebody started reintroducing tube into the industry. And that sound is really like that. Well, yeah, I know. Anyway, it's well, we are flowing right into the top of the hour. We should hear the music here any moment now because it is. nine o'clock here. All of our friends listening, it is the top of the hour. At the top of the hour, microeffect.com, the microeffect.com, the microeffect. And for everybody out there, yeah, I know for our micro, it won't hurt guys. Well, maybe it hurt a little bit not to. Don't worry about that. Anyway, something together, well, this might even be, we can do this. It's been a long week. It's already Tuesday. Did I say that? Yes, I did. Well, another thing, by the way, if you get a chance, people, go to YouTube, punch in our Liberty Tree Radio channel on, you again, our Liberty Tree Radio channel on YouTube. And I'm trying to figure out how to get you some in a minute. How do I do this? What do I want to do? Well, Mark's going to have to go to where you're doing everything. Yeah, there we go. I can do this. Can do this. audio like that almost like this is what we were doing this is this is antique by this way Ladies and gentlemen, this is a closer to victory for all of our brothers and behind the five territories. Ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to us on Microific Network in the morning. We're also on AM&FM micro stations, CB base stations, and technologies, along with Alaska on Eastern Seaboard from the top of Maine to the bottom of Florida. From the bottom of Florida, across the arc of the Gulf of Mexico. Headed into a whole bunch of Wyoming to include both the pit, Einsteinism and the diaper stain. Turn back to the east with the sun in our eyes. Oh, it's blaring this morning and sweep across the plain. Pick up speed, leap over the burgeoning bank and land in the smoke. Cruz, Grammatine, Mobile, Gramma Consortium, telecommunications workers, bring us a spike. Many hands make for life work a million petticoats. You need a function whenever you're And that means, well, for everybody out there, it is communications to socialist occupation, cold earth calendar, or a Mayan brightness out there, but still, in fact, we've even had some, you know, drip drops off of the roof. Yeah, warm enough, it's heating up the shingles. If you're heading out this morning, grab those mittens. I got my Mickey Mouse boots out, and that's what I work in. Yeah, you know what? I've worn Mickey Mouse boots. One of the other good things about that, how they want to be combat worthy, working and maintaining a pair of Mickey Mouse boots. But you know what? Your feet will not hit. Even if it's Mickey Mouse boots, if you get moisture inside the boot, as long as you can move, you dump the water as quick as you can. Don't, you know, again, quickly, even if you had moisture in the boot or water in the boot, if you're 98 points, Mickey Mouse boots, Coleman's, uh, www.comicom, they're not the only ones. Again, www. Mouse boots, white, uh, critical would it be white or black. The, wider snow camouflage, infantry, the valve was designed for equalizing pressure, although they are deeper, equalizing pressure with craft operations. Always remember that. Otherwise, they really, really, really, really do sizes. Right now, they have them in everything from size 8 wide. Let's say they go from valve regular, 11 extra narrow, 11 wide, 11 regular, 11 narrow, size 8. Now remember, these are like jungle boots. They go in full sizes. If you are 10 or 9.5, you go to a always remember that with a Mickey Mouse boot my dad wore Mickey Mouse boots for years pairs you could get hold of and wore a sock with them all the time they're all kinds of different like socks in fact really nice they're designed for work with the taller Mickey Mouse boots now some of you might run into the Canadian Mickey Mouse boots because they have a little more snow you can find a pair of some worry about well you obviously want to give you a price but don't worry about as long as they're not competent uh... micky mouse boots don't die very easily now another thing and i've been for sizes for a long time but not for all the rest yet will mark i can't afford forty or fifty or sixty dollars prepare both ok i understand that the other option with cold weather operations like this uh... again cheap quantity for good quality is three dollars a pair of green brand new i six through size eight by seven and five eight brand new for the girls and for you much can go out there for you families that much comes For $3 a pair you can't beat people from freezing, your feet dry. You know, rubber boots are a quick solution. You put them on, you get in there. The next step below Mickey Mouse boots and standard boots, standard winter. Once you're acclimated in sub-zero weather for a period of time, a lot of the work you do, guys, you don't need the Mickey Mouse boots. It's true. Most of the work you're going to do, where your body gets used to working and for different range, act as the key, guys. Into the zero range, like say minus 10, put on the front page of their clearance. Seven, seven lines down, right in the middle. The price is, check them out and then buy what you need. Now go through their, any, any that you find, go through their clearance. Never know, we got a whole bunch of this, we got to move it. We didn't say got it. Molly gear, web gear, standing by. Gap in time there, sorry about that people. I think it is 917 Michigan. eMicroEffect.com, effect.com, plug in. You didn't find out what all was happening there. Again, Colman's, Colman's. time and go to themicroeffect.com and then look at the links that we have there for available through the Micro Effect, unplug in and act. Now, a couple other things. I want to make sure I touched on that. Again, because the cold weather gear, guys, they do have East German Arctic canteens, East German insulated canteen with cup. They're not really Arctic, cold weather canteens. Very last page for $14.95, so $3 apiece. It's the same price as wholesale right now for my sources and where they got them from. So if you're looking for a little bit of a cold weather canteen that's, you know, again, they're not real heavily made, they're East German. And they're, again, livable for a pretty reasonable price. Come a little canteen like what we call a canteen cup hooked to the top of them. That's for the period of time when these were originally designed. Definitely worthwhile for $3 apiece. You can afford to put one in everybody's kit. So again, Coleman's then go to clearance. check them out from there uh... next i wanted to touch on this forgive me but uh... if you get a chance go to from the trenches will report totally separate from communications this morning guys this of course a lot of separate about how many weights are programming do we want but uh... scroll down friction here that one by actually a story that here more on the squatter the salt cycle by max velocity now highly recommend you read any of the series of uh... generated by Max whenever possible but this particular one is a good a lot of you operations and I know a lot of people that are organizing militia units are looking for a database I highly recommend that you read the book Patriot Dawn and Con Appertized on the page if you go down the scroll you will find Patriot Dawn listed there by Max. To the side you'll see Patriot Dawn Max velocity and contact a tactical man post-collapse survival by max velocity. They can read both of these. Again, it's not a do-all, it's not everything. And you may apply ideas in different ways. Read something doesn't mean you have to use it as a Bible. You may decide that in your area of activity, operations or with your experience that you need to do this. Well, we understand how that works. We understand the process there, but people that make different just upon their experience or again their training. Because changing up isn't, we don't need bad guys to have a script. but definitely for you know giving ideas and you may apply a whole lot of what's there if not all its personal choice uh... patriot don act they're both right there scroll down but the particular article of the squad and the assault cycle uh... both assault not just attack but also breaking contact breaking contact is not retreating guys breaking contract contact especially if you're a pair of conventional or an unconventional force the norm not the exception from contact you are not retreating your withdrawing from your forces from the battlefield important aspect of understanding uh... combat operations actually is this particular element the wall from contact even if you when you made break and when as in you've you've got lots of bodies on the ground you've stripped of their but make it as the next step again even everybody likes history everybody loves the battle of bunker hill what was the most devastating aspect of the battle bunker hill making you think for a minute you know what it was their lack of a mode of withdrawal it was a miracle what actually was done with the four of breeds hill which is where the actual fight mobile entrenchment operations does everybody understand that one minute the patriots weren't there one one one afternoon the patriots were not on that piece of real estate through the night with the bear and sent to One night, when the British woke up the next morning, the Patriots occupied that Isthmus, that particular part of the peninsula, in a critical location, in Bunker Hill. Now, we did a great job of defending, but our people didn't resupply properly. That was another issue. After we ran out of powder, the British, of course, took to the bayonet. Most of our troops did not have bayonets. So they fought with their weapons as clubs and bludgeons, or they used swords and other tools that they had on hand. Well the problem is that the process, the unit was supposed to withdraw from the fortification. Problem number one, there was only one exit. The exit of course was designed to be restricted and only so many men could get through the exit for the fortification which was a motorcycle on the fly. It was built with materials, all built with mobile materials. Well when they all tried to get out the same hole at the same time it became a cluster screw. I'm being polite, there's another term that we use in the military. Why? Because everybody tried to get through the same gateway entrance area at this. Now, this is where even in the age of the fife and the drum, a reason for ordering a recall or that were made by the drum, a tattoo by the drum, the fife or the musical division would actually play a particular... Organize the truth. Most of the casualties from Greeds Hill, from the Bunker Hill event, took place because to exit slash from contact. Understand that had they had a better plan for withdrawal from contact, the snot out of the British. The British casualties were so great between all of the actions and it wasn't just one action at the main fortification. The irregular, the militia, those people that of course could sweep out of the way by burning or ransacking four or five villages of the Boston area the original British Marine officer that was in charge said if they just let him ransack and rape, kill, pillage and burn for village in Boston we would just roll our back and let him kick us in the crotch. Did you know that? Modeling up the British forces in Boston number one and number two took place. The casualties were so atrocious leading up to their final assault that one officer stated that one more victory or threes like this British Army will cease to North America. Now think about that. You know, they were on the theme as far as what was said by different officers, but the bottom line is, had it not been for that failure to know how to withdraw from the position, the casualty ratio would have been so low that even with the British taking the ground, it would have been an even greater humiliation than it already was. People say, well, we lost the position. Yeah, but they, the casualties were so great, really whole units were destroyed on the field Attempt to you take the ground now I doubt that the battle which has self for the hill was not the only part of the battle taking place the flanker forces that actually helped the beaches Were able to successfully kill British soldiers en masse and this is part of that You don't see in any movie. They don't show you in any day They always show you that real intense picture of their pimple of the battlefield those many different actions simultaneously guys They were on a peninsula How do you hold a peninsula? If you don't hold the flanking areas of a position, what happens? They go around you, they encircle you, and it's, woo woo! It's like cowboys and Indians with the old covered wagons. In reality, it was a line defense with difficult points of control. We're successful until... and it ran out. It ruins it after that one. So anyway, again, knowing how to withdraw, you've effectively engaged, you've effectively defeated the aggressor, Withdrawing or extracting efficiently from the site, ensuring that everybody is accounted for, all material is acquired and accumulated and moved. Or, if you can't move it, you can't destroy it. Unless it's something that doesn't work very well, and you want the enemy to keep using it. And then maybe you don't destroy it, you leave it there every time, which would really make them wonder after a while. Why don't they burn these? Oh, you guys need to keep using those. We like that. You see, we don't say that. But if it's something that really mucks with the time and again, Well if you kill all the operators, they don't have a clue. Keep picking it up and reusing it and failing with it over and over again. Now we don't assume failure, we automatically contribute to their failure by putting leaking holes in them and killing them dead, dead, dead. I heard a ring, do we have a caller? Okay Bill, jump in there, we only got a minute or two before the bottom of the hour break, but jump in, go ahead. I was laughing at myself when I was looking at the ad for those scopes again and it had the U in and the U, I thought that was the model number. That was used and unused. Right, one is virgin, one in the box. I called him. One is virgin, one is... I felt so stupid for a few minutes and was laughing at myself. Well, no, no, you need to have that mess because there is a difference. You see, that's part of the ID number. So you're correct. That's okay. But if you got a minute, I'll cover something real quick after the... You stay right where you are. We're going to go to break here, bottom of the archives. We take our money back, politicians crash. Oh, we didn't do that. They feed their vision with our blood, sweat, and citrus. And socialism is insane. Socialism? It'll only be... communications Tuesday got the how that you got captain Monaghan with me say hello everybody kept Monaghan our signal operators you probably recognize that that personic any voice in the background because you'll hear him on some net Liberty net and American out there on Wednesdays and on Saturdays mostly on Saturdays guys we got bill with us bill jump in there please and first of all let's qualify we were talking about fair radio they've got those scopes available go ahead and give all the information on that again too please. Well I don't have that in front of me right now. Okay, I'll do it this way. Fair radio. Spotting scopes. Now I checked on those and those were actually, like I suspected, those were artillery spotters is what they probably were, which is why the crosshairs aren't in them. They were a delicate skull, regardless of the crosshairs if they got beat up. In this case, brand new out of the box and the ones that are probably surplus from a military facility of one type or another to use those scopes for surveying the area. So think about there, that's a military issue item, guys. Or new, the effect of air radio in their search, punch in scope down about two-thirds of the way and you'll find both of the options. There's only a nice little spotter scope to leave or to put in a kit, guys, exactly as the military used them. You could operate with them the same way. They also, they do have a base for a fixture. Some have a fixture base, others configurations they came from the factory for retail sale so from the same block But what I understand so I did check up on that one now you got more for us to jump in there bill, please Well, I was picking you up on your suggestion about well I think it was you anyway about buying a bunch of turkeys when they go on sale and you know frozen turkeys and keeping them so I went to a couple of secondhand stores and I noticed none of them had any fridges or freezers, but you know the old days I used to see them, they're all over the place. After the second one, I talked to them and they said, oh, well, we don't take those anymore because if they're bad, that's why they quit taking them. You know, the sad part about that is you want to catch them because they also make great earthworm farms. That's what the other thing we use them for. So darn. Well, see now, up in our area, we haven't seen as many either. But also, I think part of the reason is a lot of them are just plain being sold out because We have a restore system up here, Habitat for Humanity, they call it restore. A lot of what they get, people figure out where they are now and they clear out as quick as they get something. So that's the other problem. Well these two chains of Goodwill, that they don't even take. Oh yeah, well that's a different. Goodwill slash, you know, Red Shield slash Salvation Army. And something interesting, I was talking to my neighbor, very overweight woman, and has bad hips. going to her doctor and it's time to renew her pain pill prescriptions and they told her that, well, you have to pass a drug test now in order to get pain pills. And she couldn't get state law. She said she was just in shock. She didn't mind taking it, but you know, she just thought that's so ridiculous. Great. And my last thing, low 500 kilohertz. They call that medium wave or VLL. And actually we're just sitting right here. You're in lock. We got, have you, have we had any experience recently with anybody using anything in 500 kilohertz? Or lower. Old radios used to work in it, if you got something there, in fact you probably got a few rigs laying around. That would be an option. Go ahead Bill, please, why? Well, I just have several receivers that receive that like 100 to 500 kilohertz range. Most of them are old aircraft radios. Exactly, that's one of the things I've got from a B-17. Certainly it'll go down into that range without any problem. Yeah, the one I have came out of a B-29. So I'm just curious if it's worth getting a transmitter that... frequency. It would be because again, but what we need to do is when you start to resurrect it, what we will do is get motivated to start putting a grid up and that's not that hard. The transmitters are not really all that expensive either. Like you said, it's older equipment typically. A lot of it's going to be obviously tubes. The tube systems though, they're not competitive for a lot of the tubes that are out there. So they don't heat up what are considered to be the most common and used tubes. They're usually sitting on the shelf. In fact, sometimes people are real happy to see they're not dogs. They're not moving. If they don't move inventory, they aren't happy. So looking for replacement tubes is more likely to actually find them. Plus, one of the neat things about most of those military aviation sets is to do solid states where they actually came up with circuits that were solid states that have tubes. First ones they started. The modern age. As we know, tubes isn't bad in a lot of ways, especially since we were going into the new one-handed ones. We're going to upgrade everything so it'll shut down. They were joking in the US, oh, the Soviet plane still had tubes in it. Well, there was a reason that still had tubes in it. Hardly ready. Yes, they would survive. Ours wouldn't. 25, now thank you for bringing it up because we talked about the MiG-25 outperformed. Basically everything we had when the MiG-25 came onto the field, a whole bunch of people. Because even the numbers that they supposed for the design, as it existed, were wrong. One of the things it could do is outrun every existing air defense, air to air missile that we had, period. In fact, there's a video, as I was talking about before, at Fort Devins, as in live time, a MiG-25 walked away from an F-4 Phantom and all of its missiles, really, when they fired, they thought, oh, we've got him now. And it was purely because they were trying to create a confrontation. The Israelis were the ones stirring the pot for us, stirring the pot for themselves. MiG-25 just put in the afterburners and said goodbye. And basically what they did is they strapped two of the biggest engines and strapped a pilot around it is what they did. The sparkle engines they had available. Well then on top of that they used tube technology. So here it was a hardened combat aircraft that could reach pretty much any altitude it wanted. Outrange anything we had in missiles. Isn't that the aircraft that can also land and take off in places ours couldn't even touch with a 10-foot pole? crude and rude basic rule potato farmer what I jokingly I call a potato farmer technology it was designed to be like it was built to tractor tech that's one of the things everybody seems forget here let's remind everybody of something else that's really an embarrassment hey all you guys in Houston hey all you guys at Cape Kennedy why is it we're going to the International Space Station and the Russian aluminum balls yeah think about that for all this space-age garbage and everybody trying to brag up on our past present swaggin that they built how many years ago keep talking along the last saturday i have been able to find the possum that and uh... i when i put up a new antenna i i i set it up to do mostly east-west and maybe that's my problem partner there what do you know what frequencies reuse the last couple of weeks because i was looking at seven point nine uh... up and down as a matter of fact hold on your second 39.95 up and down the dials where they were on Saturday. He's right here. And 3995, sorry, 3995. Oh, sorry, I meant 3995, sorry. Yeah, that's okay, not a problem. 3995 plus or minus just play with it. Again, reconfiguring your antenna is probably going to be the issue. I would try orienting it northeast. Well, I didn't go that high. I's plus or minus, plus or minus. I didn't go up that high because I was looking too. that was my problem. And as a matter of fact, don't forget, remember they've got their site too for all of our friends listening. And again, I know there are a couple of our listeners are people around the net. So 3995 and I believe also they were down on 3790. At least I have a report here and I got to double check my notes on this because I was just talking to the person last night. As a matter of fact, 3795. I believe it's 3.995 and 3.790. 3.790 is another net we're working on right now. It's going to be an offshoot so that we can try to set up a backup, a shadow backup real quick. There's been a lot of discussion about that, but the guys that have established the PoSnet, the LibertyNet, AmericanNet, all of those, guys, we want those to build up. listening if you got a rig, remember you don't have to hook up the microphone. Listen, take the time, set up your rig. The most important thing is the transmitter. The transceiver has to have some place for power to go. So make sure that the antenna connection is solid. Make sure that your antenna, your coax is clean. Don't make it make sure there's no holes in it. Careful, pay attention. Even your antenna coax flopping around creates noise. So whenever you do set something up, Mr. electrical tape or zip ties are your friends. Only takes a second to take that quarter penny zip tie and put it on your mast to lock things down or always carry a roll of electrical tape in your pocket. All of us, everybody, it's a radio geek or a fix-it geek has a small roll. I've got one in my left pocket right now. Better effect. I was lucky and I found on the side of the road size roll galvanized bliller. Oh, and I've been using that for putting up my antennas. I mean, you know, actually for the antenna itself, clean it up with a little sandpaper, solder your wire onto it. Oh, yeah. Oh, that's more like a military array like what you'll see. That's what they're looking at. Yeah, that's more like a regular combat fixture array. It's not going to break down unless you stomp it with something. That's what's really cool. The big thing here again, guys, for everybody out there is, and the question earlier about using other frequencies, what we need to do, and I am serious about this, resurrect as much equipment as we can, clean it off, and get it online. We're going to need to spread it. We're going to need to be going up and down the spectrum around noise, battle chatter, and other problems. know what we're going to be facing in terms of a disaster. If we get fragged with nuke, and I believe that the desperate powers that be are going to resort to that because they don't have any choice. I don't know that we haven't already been nuked at one time or another when I say that. I mean, I say population in general, since desert dust won. Remember how many lies have we already seen? Remember how they said we used these two supposedly fuel air bombs? I'm going to point out Desert Dust One that we had, and I trained most of the guys, a lot of the guys, not most of the guys there, but I trained a lot of men that were in Desert Dust One, and they came back, and since my specialty, one of my areas of expertise is NBC, they sat down and said that all their meters went off. There isn't one of them that I talked to, over 200 young men that I trained that went to Desert Dust One. Almost everybody, well not almost, everybody was set up for full NBC defense. Everybody said their sensors went off. Not just their bio, but their radiological. I would point out that we don't know that we haven't already had nukes used and it wasn't an opportunity for them and they lied about the fuel air bomb BS and I think they did. I believe that they probably used light tactical nukes, gave them a chance to do some above ground testing. The latest weapons, they expected. They fired many nuclear weapons, I don't see why we wouldn't. Exactly. everybody the argument is back in the day as was pointed out i want to uh... general staff war college courses at fort Knox and the general staff war college classes they stated we have nuclear devices all the way down to three oh eight why we would bother building them it was a joke because like why we would bother building them well hey your tax dollars at work nuclear these small visionable boom-boom that you know was all the way down to three oh eight nato ludicrous but it was applied they can we do it and it's it's sounds strange but I will remind everybody that if you want to really look at some fascinating engineering try to find the Frankfurt Arsenal books. Frankfurt Arsenal books, there are three of them. The man who did them, the Frankfurt Arsenal was our research arsenal for the US military for the War Department later to become the Department of Defense. Frankfurt Arsenal cycled, started to cycle down more towards the late 50s and Aberdeen, of course, Aberdeen Proving Ground is a place that everybody is familiar with. But Frankfurt Arsenal is where much of the significant research was done in all small arms calibers. Now small arms calibers goes all the way down to 38 Smith and Wesson and 380 Auto, all the way up to 20 and 30 millimeter and even 40 millimeter. That's considered small arm category in terms of certain types of weapon system. research just into 30 caliber projectiles alone takes up almost an entire volume and what they did inside a 30 caliber jacket you would be just, oh I would be doing that and if you want to talk about watchmaker technology the idea was what can we do it? You know let's do it this way and does it work? Well if you do build it how much does it cost? Well we're not going to make it that way see, but they would make, they'd made hundreds of variants, armor piercing, incendiary, timed incendiary, in 30 caliber and then 50 caliber jackets, stuff that never, in theory, never saw the light of day, it probably did, but only for some specialized use. Nuclear munitions down to 308, yes. Policy tank, you know, nuclear tank, we do too, we've got a 120, they've of course went from the hundreds and then up beyond that, now way beyond that. So, for both tank gun and artillery is there and it didn't stop the war but it's just another part of the, it's a dimension of the battlefield that has to be part of your sensor array. And remember in Desert Dust 1, our troops went into Desert Dust 1, the adventure begins, the lie begins, with all of the technology we were prepared to use in World War 3. Remember guys, we were preparing for World War 3 against the Russians. Well our army that deployed in Iraq prepped and queued for that. So all of their NBC, nuclear, biological, chemical, sensor technology, their MOP gear, their defensive gear, they were carrying everything. And they were skilled and trained to use it. So anybody, any fool in the media or any idiot who makes a comment, who has never been in uniform, I would beat down hard until the Shabbos screw up because the men knew what they were doing. So again guys, remember we need the technology, the defense technology, but our signal communications need to be broad to deal with the threat because when you do have nuclear plumes, then you have all kinds of radiation spectrum problems up and down the bandwidth. And that low end piece of technology you didn't think was worth anything is the only thing that could talk. You can use a lube at the low frequencies, they're just a pain to tune. You don't need a giant antenna. Keep up the good work, guys. Thank you. I'll tell you what, Bill close with me. God bless the Republic. Kill the New World Order. We shall prevail, ladies and gentlemen. The Empire is on the run. Thank you, sir. I'm gonna let you go for now. And we are at the top of the second hour. Oh my goodness.
