Advance party or administrative and command personnel who are going to have to be there to flesh out and create a realistic operation if it supposedly is a training exercise. Advanced party then preps the ground. The next phase are the regular personnel which are processed in by the advanced party. Then there is a cycle up to activity. Then there is the event itself. Then they cycle back down the same way with finally the advanced party becoming the closure group. that will ensure that administrative operations are completed, people are paid, individuals are mustered back out from site to the original location where they came from. In addition to that, there will be communication shutdown, etc. That's the nature of a supposed training exercise. How would I know this? Perhaps because I was a training officer. You might help. Imagine doing that for week after week after week and having multiple Advanced party, multiple exercises. That's the kind of stuff that I manage on a regular basis, along with the help of a whole lot of other people with first, second, third, op, well, second, third, and fourth op-4, op-4, training command, etc. It's the stuff we did, guys. And they also have the regular AR-15 lower raw and they have it anodized. And they list the raw at $160, the anodized at $170, The 308 receiver looks like it is raw, but that's just judging by pictures. And you can buy five packs and even ten packs of the receivers. They also have the lower receiver jig sets and parts. And that's at cnc80.com. Very good. In fact, looking at the page here, I punched into the chat room for everybody also. The five, the five, Five pack of the anodized are $800. Five pack of the, or ten pack of the anodized are $1,550. Or $1,550, yeah, there we go. Anybody got another caller? What do we got? I do not see polymer at either of those websites. Okay, not a problem. Now, the thing is that so far I haven't seen anything with Aries that they've been sending out. They've been up and down on the aluminum. They sold out of the blems. I know that. But, in fact, I'd have to talk to them again here next year, too. But so far, as far as I know, they've been shipping the plastics. I haven't heard anything bad from anybody. So far, it's gotten them. And some of our people listening have gotten them within good time. So the polymer ones at least again for the price you're spending less money It'd be worth experimenting. Let's put it this way It'd be worth it for $100 to take your time do exactly what they say to do and I was looking at this You know if I didn't have a drill even if I had a Dremel tool the way that the plastic one the polymers are built Because all it says is basically take the white stuff out of the green stuff or the brown or the black whatever color you get Well, you could do that piecemeal with a Dremel tool. If you're a patient, yeah. So I see that as the other solution. Be like that or again for some of the head coarser stuff, once you get it flattened out and bored out properly, just to hollow it out faster. You could use even a router if you've got a smaller hand router like the halfway, but there's some that were out there that are the size of a little more than a Dremel tool, but less than a regular router. That would be another solution plus they make heads for the routers too I don't think still make them out there and they've got them but flexor heads a couple of our guys have these it's actually a flexor turret head that goes out you can actually work it like a Like a pen like you use it like you would a tattoo gun so it works pretty pretty it's actually lightweight, but it has all the horsepower of the the regular router behind it which is another cool tool so there's a number of different solutions here. And they also have another interesting product, a sad charging upper receiver without the bolt carrier, but that's the first time I've seen anything like that. Aside from the old stoner that had a little like a finger thing at the top, the hand grip. Right, it looked like a reverse trigger is what it looked like. But like I said, they call these a 95% receiver since everything but the load where the power control group goes is cut and they're at a very good price it seems. Well now they should, is in the lower assemblies is that what they were they listed for the receivers? Yeah, well, I'm right. I believe I'm at their website right now. Okay, very last item. There we go. 95% lower receiver. Now, but does that require, no FFL required for that because it's not finished? Power control group recess isn't milled out. Well, that's the same thing that the other companies are doing, the same area. So the jig is required for that as expected. $130 a unit, those are aluminum. And whichever company, my attitude is this, whoever does the better service or everybody is satisfied with, what we need to do is have people pass the information on. So we know who's, you know, again, how are these guys serving us? What are they doing? The side charging handle for the upper is interesting in that side charger, upper receiver without carrier, $379, upper assembly. So they have this, apparently it's a left-handed charging handle. side gogger and apparently they also offer these complete it looks like too they actually have barreled receiver sets right? Yes it does appear so. They also have trigger groups available to just drop in like the Timney and like a two-stage trigger. It seems like to be a very nice product and of course one advantage being the Magwell being milled out That's a significant step toward finishing it. Interesting. I have to see how long the spur is for the charging handle. That's the only thing. It looks like it's a little short. It's like, oh, okay, there we go. Got a better view from the top. That's pretty good. It's got a good flapper. It's collapsible. That's what it is. Okay, I see what they've done. They've made it a, it collapses, probably spring activated, although it could be just simply a lever. But it actually is a paddle system that drops that pulls out pivots out and allows you to operate from the side So that in reality there's very little motion of anything necessary. Drop the mag, pop the mag in, hit the release, fine. If there's some kind of failure to function or if you wish to activate with the charging, with the system closed, you can activate the gun from the empty station using the charging handle. Or clear a problem without trying to use just your index finger and your middle finger and very negative energy to try and break that round that might be a problem if you don't want to jam it into the weapon with the forward assist which is something you always warn everybody it's like I said right from the get go whenever you saw that anybody who's been in the machining knows if you have something busted you don't try to bust it you don't try to jam it deeper into the machine you try to figure out what's wrong but instead the logic was forward assist, forward assist, forward assist so rather interesting to say the least but this is a new idea or else it's another idea and I think where he was asking about the shotgun model receivers. Seems to me that one of the shotgun models years ago was a side cocker like this. So this is a rather, this may be a rollover from that design, I don't know. Thank you for bringing it up. One of the other considerations here is again, remember these parts can be just left to even the one that even the 80% lowers could be left and just stored until such time with all the tooling and everything if you're worried about somebody trying to argue well you've got a gun blah blah blah it's like no I have a big block of aluminum But 80% finished it's a non-firearm. So the cool thing is it's not considered a weapons part, you know, per se slash a gun slash a lower receiver. The other important thing is it is a Liberty arm. So it is a well, freestanding weapon that you privately own when the time comes produced to your standards and how well it's built. It is a matter of how savvy you are about quality in performance. I will point out, as I said, one of our friends here was sitting the other day in the studio when we were talking about this before. Guys, in Vietnam, kids in grass huts out in the middle of nowhere in what do they say like in platoon a village and it's stood next to the river for 300 years or 600 years yeah, meanwhile the kid the grass hut he was taking a rat file a piece of Hacksaw that he stole from my you know a junkyard you know for American military scrap Maybe whatever other tools he get his hands on China support junk or in you know Malaysian junk And, taking a piece of railroad tie cut to a certain length, he looked at it and said, like, you know, the old sculptors, there is a pistol here, waiting for me. All I need to do is carve away the junk that shouldn't be there. And then that little guy, squatting there using a very unsophisticated, you know, hibachi-type furnace and a virtual cable wheel-type lathe, if he had that, or using it as a drill, the guy built from scratch a hand copy of a 1911. Every part, every piece, and scavenged up mags, I'm sure, but built his own initially one. Made sure with respect to the standard US military mag and with careful hand-fitting, one piece at a time. The guy built a 1911 from scratch. So don't tell me that you cannot handle this. Most of the intricate work with all these 80 percenters that I'm seeing, I would tell you right off the bat, looking at it, my biggest concern would be threading and pin station location and 90 percent of that's already done. The big critical parts are done. The threading for the buffer tube is done. All the other thread points are finished and out of the way. So it's a great solution. It's pretty well scored away ready to go, but you need to apply yourself the rest of the way. Whether you're going to use a drill press and a more sophisticated vise from Grainger Supply or China Sport Harbor Freight, doesn't make any difference. Whatever you do, just remember, the tooling itself, what it is it cuts, that's where you spend your money. If you're going to be tooling out one of these 80 percenters, buy the best quality that you can machine grade for actual manufacturing. Every chuck, every cutter, every bit, all of those are available. In fact, right now the market is soft. Now beware, the Chinese medal is soft too in a lot of cases, some of the tooling out there. But if you look for best quality American or Swiss or German, you can find it. And once you've got it, it's like any other piece of machinery. You need to oil it, you need to maintain it, make sure you square it away. Remember, it's only going to be there for one purpose, the mission you bought it for. And that's all it does. You don't go out and drill keyholes in it or anything. No, it's just for one mission. it gets very dainty put away. The jig is carefully used so that you can reuse it over and over again etcetera, etcetera, etcetera. Just common sense. One of the things is that if you see certain weapons systems or equipment there, you know, people say, well, I don't know how to use fill in the blank. Guys, go to YouTube. Punch in RPG7. How to use RPG7. You don't just watch one video compare them all but most important is watch the operator actually using the weapon one of the guys in the field not somebody who's prepping or priming or might be just fiddle farting around and is trying to you know mislead you if you think that's the case guess what watch the troops in the field as they load or reload an RPG 7 or and what steps they go through. If you watch the dozens of videos, there's actually hundreds. If you watch the hundreds of different videos of those RPG-7 in whatever model, whatever variant, you will find that you see the operator performing certain tasks. You can test this against somebody giving a tutorial on what the RPG-7 does to determine how accurate the tutorial is. based upon first-person application as seen in the other videos. The same is true with any other weapon systems you figure you're going to be stripping off the enemy dead. You need to be going through and watching. Take about half an hour to say an hour a night or every couple nights. And if you're going to fiddle fart in YouTube rather than watching Daffy Duck or whatever, turn it on to these training videos or I'll see again these example videos. Let me give you the best example of where I would go. For instance, anti-tank weapons. The newest anti-tank weapons are all being fired on ranges in Europe, in Norway, Holland, Finland, Denmark. Guys, there's some phenomenal video showing not just one crew firing, but a whole bunch of crews on a field range where they're all using the weapon from different perspectives and directions. The wonderful thing is usually it's done by a crewman who's actually making a point of focusing on watching and showing you what the gunner does and the loader does and what things they do. Well pay attention to where their hands go and what they're up to. Nothing that's in a process like this is wasted energy. Does everybody understand that? There's a reason you teach a regiment so that way everybody goes step to step to step to put your hands away, step to the side, tap the gunner, whoomp, it's ready to go and the round goes down range and splash. Kaboom, boom boom boom boom boom. The same is true with any small arms weapon you're using. If you want to punch in a certain arm you'll find people either taking them to the range or people using them in combat operations. Well, if it's live fire combat operations, especially, they don't have a whole lot of ways they can fake it on that one. So if you pay attention, you'll see that immediate action drills and other activities are taking place in a certain way. Copy, copy, copy. Mimic. 80% to 90% of what you need to do is mimicking the basic actions that you see there. Pay attention to legwork. Pay attention to individual operations and actions. How did each crewman do their job? Break it down. Slow it down. One of the nice things about YouTube, you can stop the image. You can stop and freeze and go, what's he doing? Look at his legs. Okay, slightly bent. Now do I see that with everybody in this gun system? Yep, everybody operates that system. Legs are slightly bent. Waist is partially bent forward. Weapon you're leaning into. Shoulder, etc. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Or it could be behind the gun, pitched to the side of the gun by about 40 degrees. How is the weapon controlled? Where is the left hand? Etc, etc, etc. By the time you're done, you get a pretty good map out of what you need to do. Okay, so it's again common sense, prior to proper planning. Way to do that, get into these videos and start watching them. Definitely you're going to save yourself a lot of heartburn. You're going to have a better clue or an idea about what's going on when the time comes. The bad guys may want to try and purge a lot of this, but there's a whole bunch of stuff out there you can actually put into disk and hard copy. And I'd really, really, really recommend that you copy, copy, copy, if at all possible, create a training series utilizing what other people have already done and what your tax dollars or other government tax dollars paid for. Okay? Just that simple. Straightforward. Easy to do. Anyway, let's see, we are headed towards the top of the hour here. We're thinking about having a drawing here with regard to knives again. We've got a couple of different knives that are on standby. one of them I have in my hand. It's actually a pretty nice hunting knife. Twice the thickness of its replacement and a solid shank, stainless blade, and I think it's going to do the job just fine. It comes with its own carrier.
