You don't have to even have them in the vehicle so much as have them on standby, palletized, ready to throw in. Because in the event you have to mobilize quickly, these are things you need with the vehicle. Chains, come alongs, again basic combat engineer tools, sledgehammers, pick, shovel. etcetera, etcetera. Go right down the shopping list. What do you need to make sure your vehicle can support others and be supported if need be to get it out of the muck or to get it down the road if it's damaged or just malfunctions. Somewhere it needs to be fixed quick. You have the tools on board. Make sure that every piece of equipment you've got is squared away. One of the things I've been doing all through the summer, if I've got another shovel that I find or another e-tool or engineering tool or hammer or whatever, it's being repainted. and there's lots of tactical colors out there but the idea is just keep making sure that you give it a coat of paint, square it away so it doesn't rust.
