All you do is desolder one or unclip, now this is the key word, unclip, the actual friable components in many cases were designed to be plugged and played. There's unplugged and plugged back in and used. Best example is one car, the traditional fusible car link that you're all so familiar with, which is even in 12 volt light plugs, you know, power plugs right in the plug itself. You'll find them in the dash up underneath. Remember, you've seen them before. Well, those are in many cases even used in modern computers to this day, right, depending on the design and, you know, again, who the engineer was or team behind it. They also have built in other fusible traps. The circuit is designed to be more susceptible and pull the energy spike so that it does not harm or help elements of the system. The other elements are partially shielded. Number one, number two, the fuse trap or the energy trap is designed to be weaker but provide a cascading array so that the energy is pushed out of the system. It's given a place to go. Energy and water follow the path of least resiliency. electricity that's called calories too because it will have energy it'll burn and it can get warm that's where you see frying cooking smoking it smells strange something's not right with my radio something's not right with my electrical appliance doesn't smell right smells like it's cooking but it ain't cooking food anyway it has stinky plastic polymers and resins anyway for that reason it's good to understand that with that circuit and either a jumper this is one of the neat tricks jumper to isolate and go work past that sump circuit you can actually put the system online it'll be dirtier it may not have as much energy there's a number of issues depending on what circuit although in some cases the synthesizer circuit can be used because it's not critical in other words instead of sounding like this it'll sound like this perhaps your broadcast at least someone can hear you it could also be again part of the power but it can be a bank series of diodes or again uh... uh... they're gonna burn and we can happen there's a number of different tricks the very depending on the era and the concept the theory at the time with regard to what was considered important uh... your computers at the top most of our not gonna probably survive unless you do something to secure backups ever the host pair part of the critical components that will cry example on the motherboard and i've already mentioned diodes are the most susceptible they pop like popcorn literally could be a picnic uh... the other consideration there is uh... also lesser which is a lot easier to store the backup etcetera etcetera ring old processors consider this we all have about the old final rock running pentium ones but my god look at the way some of these processors have to be protected today kind of heat sinks and cooling systems and massive radiator systems they've had to build to try and desperately shunt, you know, and pull heat from those processors. Well, those older processors and boards are better than no computer at all. To store the support, you know, the motherboard, isolating it with a lot of the other components negated or short and folded, so to speak, or then packed as components. just so you can store more in a Faraday cage slash a shielded site. It varies depending upon your interest and needs, creativity, and the size of the material of the equipment. With regard to radios, large format older radios, old motorolas, old Zenith units, the components are large, they are again specifically designed to absorb and fall in a particular pattern. When that happens, they can be replaced and rebuilt. Those components could be replaced. Don't just throw... It's like, my gun's empty. Throw the gun away. Remember in all these BS movies? How does a bad guy know that you don't have any bullets in your gun? What? Well, why did you throw the gun away? Oh, this is no good. Really? Bad guy knows you were shooting at him.
