Mark Koernke and Don Betcher discussed the Syrian chemical weapons crisis and its implications for domestic preparedness. They analyzed media coverage of alleged nerve gas attacks in Syria, noting that images were recycled from Iraq, and warned that such incidents could be used as a pretext for chemical weapons deployment in the United States. The hosts emphasized the importance of acquiring gas masks, protective equipment, and NBC (nuclear, biological, chemical) detection technology before supplies depleted and prices rose. They provided detailed guidance on improvised and commercial protective measures, including specific product recommendations from MainMilitary.com and Sportsman's Guide, and offered contact information for night vision equipment sales.

If you get cornered, bash him in the head. That seems to work out. Keep together, stay sharp, and follow me. We fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free. and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame You've taken Satan's number You've traded in your name You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. And your daughters visit doctors so their children and people Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torture freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each God given right we only watch in tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave is this still the land of the free? And good evening, ladies and gentlemen, this is the Evening Intelligence Report. I'm Mark Krunke. And I'm Don Betcher. One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters, both on and behind the lines in occupied territories, Central, West, Southeast, and South. Well, ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to us on... LibertyTreeRadio.4mg.com, we're on AM and FM microstations, CB base stations, and Ultra Net Technologies East and West of the Mississippi along with Alaska. We're on the hallmark network on the eastern seaboard from the top of Maine to the bottom of Florida. For the bottom of Florida, we're going to target the Gulf of Mexico, headed to Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, big chunk of Nebraska, a whole bunch of Wyoming to include both 3rd and 5th and our friends in Colorado waving to the left coast we turn back to the east sweep across the plains loop over the burgeoning banks of the Mississippi line of the Smokies where the restaurant crews grandma teams okay teams and the mob a little grandma consortium of retired telecommunications workers bring us the golden spike many hands make for light work a million pedico junctions done muggy Looking like it wants to rain. We got big clouds in the west but still bright and and mixed as far as overhead cover. So what's like in your neck of the woods? What is a day today? What's jumping off the wall up there? in 28 August. It's hard not to believe that this wouldn't happen on such a day, but it's not like the 2nd of February. So we cannot claim to be astounded along these lines and references. But boy oh boy, it's kind of like a rainforest almost, that kind of humidity. It's one of those days where, as you point out, Mark, if it would rain, if there were enough clouds to gather and it would start to rain, it would probably feel more comfortable. I just don't see it raining here, but man, it is thick. I try to exist with perhaps a fan and not to bring up the air conditioning because, well, you're spoiling yourself. You have to live in the air conditioning just because it's muggy, not real hot. Well, you can probably do better or you're way too city-fied. City, C-I-T-Y. Okay, again, 20, 26 August. We could run in a couple of different. I try not to watch the evening news, but it has to be talk around the world, you guys. If you think of some of the things we've heard as of late, Mark, someone called in while you were gone and said that the National Guard is being called up in his state from a couple of different directions. Basically, the thought line was presented to two out of three of those different folks from different parts of that state that war has been declared. to panic because we still haven't any verification on that. But when they start to look at the media, you guys, have you seen the pictures, what's going through the mainstream media mark about Syria? The rows and rows of children dead and young people, and let alone, let's let their line issue, guys. Non-combatants, I repeat, non-combatants, and one more time because it's biblical, non-combatants, rows and rows of children and young people. and you see the pictures and oh motion pictures the images that it would be a better word to put there of the wounded the that are just Wiggling off into space open poll it it's when I first saw this mark I had to say to Debbie that's that's what you're looking at as a result of a nerve guess moments later the Newscaster confirmed that for us because experts say that these are symptoms of nerve gas deployment and exposure, not necessarily in that order. This only points out, you guys, we say that, well, that's on another continent. And we can underscore that because, hey, Mark, we've had a number of callers from Australia as of late. And good day over that way. How are you doing this morning? But again, good day. It's not as if we can turn our back on it. The other thing about this is, if there are, and it was talked, this subject was pointed out in the mainstream, and it only gives them another avenue or another venue, not to, you know, it's the same thought line there. It only gives them another beachhead in which to claim that this chemical weapon was acquired by that group and then brought, here I'm going to use that word again, brought to this continent and used on us. This seems to be one of the logical progression that could come out of this, whether it is brought to us by those who have been opposed to hating the West so much that they would do something like that, or it is presented as such, and you know, under what is that? That false flag operation. So, the media is pumping this in such a way that they are building that springboard, so whichever way it happens, and I would respect either one. Because, as we pointed out, it's not like, well, there are people, like two or three people in the world who don't like America. We did this house a number of years. The wheels have been turning. The machinery has been put up in such a way that... There are a number of people, if they could deliver 55 gallons of nerve gas here in one drum and distribute it across the nation to their liking, they would do that. But there are people inside, you know, we've talked about that snake following the other snake, that shadow government, and even bigger than that because, well, good portions of our shadow government have some sort of our interest at heart. But there are portions that would just as soon open the door and urinate on the rest of us. Hey Dom, before you continue, for a second there you got weak and soft. Did you turn away from the phone or did you do something with the phone? Oh, I'm not certain. I might have just done that. Did that make the difference there? Yeah, okay. That's probably what I was hearing. Just one second, like I just did again. Yeah, just making sure it wasn't anything on my end because it sounded like it could have been. Okay, cool. Thank you. And guys, on top of things, see what's down here. You know, that's an old minor phrase. Let's put something in a pan and see what shakes down, what shakes out, what pans out. But again, this is a springboard that I have no doubt. then one entity or another will use to their advantage. There's no question about it. How does that go? And it's not just our government that says, we can't let a good crisis go to waste. So bear that in mind, you guys. And with that, how many times has Mark told you, or asked you, posed that question, do you have a gas mask? And how many times has he told you, you can't just make one of those out of a puddle of mud. So with that in mind, we've talked about over pressuring individual rooms. the venue of attack the next time they want a bunch of Americans. The unknown, put the quotient there, just put T there for they, it could be them in this, you know, the equation that would bring about that, oh what's that latest video from Tex-Mar? It might not even be the latest one, but that, oh that death to America, because that seems to be a lot of the cry from around the world now. Even the guy on Sunday nights, the guy out of Troy, Michigan, he's talking more and more about the war against Christians around the world. This only reflects you guys, because there are those. Let's do it like this. Ben Laudin did the justification for all of his actions on the 100,000 deaths of Iraqi children in the 1990s. countering that comes Ben Laden and Ladin. There are things in motion that have been worked beyond your control and beyond mine no matter what we do these things will continue these thought lines will continue and whether it is someone who works it under a false flag or someone who works it under the thought line of vengeance You got it. Do you have a gas mask? Do you have a water filter and then we could pose the same question? Let's just say well, I'll yield the floor To Mark Kornke, all I have is one more word to say, China, and I yield the floor. And again, with what we're looking at right now, last couple of days, well first of all, again, coming back from the E to our block, I will remind everybody about what we already explained to everyone about gas masks slash protective masks. Guys, you don't have to wear it nonstop. The important thing to have the tool in the toolbox when you need it. And right now the phase one is the Israelis are consuming pretty much everything that's over there Don't worry. The Arab states are doing the same thing. Everybody knows that there's no border. Do you think there's a force field? You know over there that... Yeah, there's no dome kids. If they start spewing this stuff, and it'll be the Israelis doing it first, there's no doubt about it. They already did. Number one, the images you're seeing done, one of the things that they didn't want to acknowledge, this is all propaganda right now. Yes, there are people that died, but the images they're showing are from Iraq. The ones are the people that are under the covers, you know, under the sheets. They've combined they've mixed and matched images. They got caught in this already earlier in the last couple of days people are actually pointing this out And so you've just verified that they're still trying to pump the same image under the logic that most people aren't talking to each other We need to point out that guys if you go back through Time and Newsweek and all of that these are stock pieces of imagery that they had available and they figure just like Iraq Nobody's paying any attention So we know we need to hammer them on that too and thank you bring for bringing it up appreciate it because that was something actually was brought up last night in a Somebody sent me an email. It's like well guess what you know the images are a hodgepodge And that's not a surprise number one the problem is again these devices know no friends. They have no boundaries Unlike a minefield in that respect there is what's called drift There can also be expansion within the area of deployment by the very nature of what might be deployed. If it is a biological agent, it's typically, although they would hope that it was sterile, I've brought this up many times. Guys, do you have any accidents they've already had because they thought their vectors, you know, slash the carriers were sterile and they were not? And because of that, when they deployed the little bugaboos that carry the bioagent, kept right on breeding and kept right on developing a wider and larger area of activity, kind of like having like yellow fever, malaria, and all those things down in the Central American states, given the opportunity and the ability to breed, what happened to those diseases? Why they spread out all over the place didn't they wherever there was water? Yeah, wherever there was water there were mosquitoes There were mosquitoes So just some have taken a consideration there with what they're yapping about here This is the residual effects the long-term of residual effects aren't even you know on the table yet the Nuclear well, you know people are living downtown Hiroshima, Nagasaki, don't we? Take pictures of where the bombs are dropped what they look like then what they look like now now Yes, they have bigger. We know that and that's where there's you know again. They start kicking this off I figure the hoodie you're gonna have for the bomb shelter like they did a few thousand years ago Oh, I'm sorry maybe longer than that farther back six seven thousand years ago. Oops did I say that oh? Yeah, remember who the Morlocks are Remember the bad guys like to give you the background story and put it right in your face as science fiction The Time Machine? Yeah, remember those Morlocks and the Eloys? And the Morlocks went underground. Of course, they became cannibals, but they were righteous cannibals because they could do it. Whereas the people up topside that suffered through all the events and survived? Well, they were looked as livestock. But only because they didn't keep their you know shall we say their generations trained to understand what was waiting Down there in the bunkers that needed to be killed off at if ever rear-reared its ugly head out again My attitude on that is when they go underground just make sure they don't come back Let's think about that this time around and let's make sure we emphasize it right from the get-go The other thing here threat areas East Coast is most likely we need to be very careful there Yep, there's an Arab population in Dearborn. We know that big one biggest in the country but the jewish mob is the ones that could be dumping the bomb on the u.s so or whatever ordinance they choose uh... in terms of the high-end stuff so we need to be prepared for it and basically nuclear biological chemical defense a basic mask chems suit set would be good but a chem hood and cape will work Rubber gloves, booties of some kind, rubber boots or over booties, they've got both. You can find them through mainmilitary.com. You can find them through a number of other sources. There are not a whole lot of new gas masks, as I've said, that have come in, guys. Inventories have been depleting. One of the reasons most of these companies that the surplus companies buy gas masks from, they are rent revolution companies. They sell to great powers, they sell to minor powers, they sell to governments in other words. And they don't all build their own, they just wait for the other guy to get rid of his brand new or even used and they pick it up and that's what they employ. Now if you don't think so, I challenge you to do a real fact. Here's the way to do this, go to whatever search engine you want to. You can go to Google, whatever, and go to imagery. Excuse me as you go to the battlefield images and you start you know put battlefield images Syria That's more recent the Syrian battlefield sir or civil war Syrian Civil War battlefield What you're going to notice is that? You're seeing a lot of gas masks here and there you'll notice something. They're not all cutting-edge space-age state-of-the-art They're standard models you have all seen In many cases, they are all models you all own. But no! Everybody told us that that just wouldn't work and that they really... Well, there's a couple reasons and again I will point out. Gas masks are used for a lot of other things on the battlefield. If you have to clean out the inside of a BMP that just got smacked and hit hard, there's a big nasty mess on the inside. Temperatures 100 degrees outside, which means it's also pretty close to 100 degrees or more inside like a big pastry oven. That's a bio threat. Oh yeah, that's nothing but... That's a mess that he is just unthinkable unless you have to deal with it. And most armored vehicles are used over and over and over again, guys. Wash them out, send them back. That's right. My Uncle Bob said that there was a smell that once you got it in your nose, you just couldn't get rid of it. He was in three different tanks. There was shot off from underneath him. The third one was the end. He said, nah, I'm not going to be in tanks anymore. He said, why are you going to chicken out? He goes, I didn't say I wouldn't fight. I just said, I'm not going in a tank again. It just doesn't have to be tanks either. There's a poem, a verse from, you know, women write poems, men write verses. There's a verse from World War II about the ball turret gunner that they cleaned me out of my ball turret with a hose. Yep. Exactly. So here again, when we're looking at situations like that, if you come in and you're recovering equipment, contrary to the way they show in movies and depict in all Hollywood BS, you know, We watched something last night that still was from the 1600s and it's a sci-fi piece so I don't need to be told about that. But the basic rule back in that day I'll remind everybody again you didn't bury people with their clothes on. That's where the term burial shroud came from. If it was a stitch of clothing it took time for someone to make it didn't go into the ground boots didn't go into the ground They didn't go to waste and just get left laying around It didn't make it into somebody like always love these movies that do these cowboy movies were oh my red dead man's clothes hell son Everybody's wearing dead man's clothes. Where the hell'd you get that line from it's a script You know otherwise it's like your point Well, I got grandpa's hat. Well, I got Fred's shirt. Well, yeah, remember that guy that, you know, got killed over a spidlaps? I bought my pair of jeans there from that that that frugal sale. Grandma darned that bullet hole real close. Yeah, the patch works real good. Yeah, the cough. I bought this off the coffin maker. Exactly. What do you think he was doing? Well, got a special suit. But will you be buried in it? Well, you'll be seen in it, but you won't be buried in it. Okay, so just think about that. You know, boots even. I don't care what condition is. Let me combat field imagery. World War I, World War II. I don't care how far back you go. I can tell you how recent those pictures are by looking at the dead. If you'll notice, if it's farther down into the cycle of battle, you'll notice that the guys don't have any boots. Where did those boots go? Well Fred's not gonna need him anymore and those boots fit me too and They're almost brand new ain't no sense wasting them boots The other thing you'll notice you don't see another pair of boots laying around You ever thought about that right? That's the first thing I noticed. It's like okay, so he somebody took his boots and put those on But look around it is leave the old ones. They didn't leave the old ones anywhere. There's nothing. It's like whatever they took it kept going with them You see? So just something a little reminder there about manufactured items and how we really don't appreciate what we're stepping into here and why we need to be ready for this. Chemical defense. It's a specialized technology. Doesn't mean we can't improvise. They're showing some of the stuff overseas these people are doing where they're fighting like in Egypt. Improvising gas masks with a basically a cork filter and you know a cork with a filter in it with a plastic bag over your head. It's like whoa, that's crude, but it works You know think about it guys you got a whole I will point out too that when they started all this BS overseas For the first time ever in in all the time. I've done surplus. They actually started posting the export laws again For a well remember you can buy it here, but you can't ship it back overseas Now you gotta remember all this stuff came from overseas So what does that tell you they already the writing was already on the wall with their agenda was for what's going on? So yeah, the rent a revolution companies. Oh, they can sell gas masks by the by the Truckload the ship load however many you want But as far as you the peasant sending it overseas to say your buddy and wherever That's a oh, that's a gross violation Yeah, you just don't have the money to pad someone's greasy pocket. That's all So anyway, the threat's real. I've argued again for as long as I've ever been on the air, the threat has always been real. It's just that now all of a sudden when they're really yapping about it in the control press, everybody's like, oh, oh, oh, oh. And so what we're going to see is we're already seeing the gas mass creep and climb and disappear. As the inventory depletes, the prices will accelerate. This cyclically happens so I highly recommend again if you're listening remember numeric arms may still have I believe that they do the 60 millimeter filters for your Finnish model, you know gas mask your British defense mask or your Canadian models that are NATO or the US M9 These filters are brand new size old surplus, but they're not that old and in fact, it's the same stuff that they're using and overseas right now I just saw a whole bunch of those fin masks on some video image that was from outside of Damascus. So that mask is there, the Russian masks are there, pretty much every model you can imagine, including some that I thought was rather interesting. The latest mask to come into the US, I'll remind everybody again in very small numbers, was the Yugoslavian copy of the M9. Like the Finnish mask, except same pattern, but it's more like the M9 than the Finn is in that it's virtually a direct copy if not made off the same molds. It is an M9 knockoff, or an M9 clone from where they shipped the molds overseas, and that's probably what they did during the Cold War, of course. So while we were busy worrying about them trying to kill us, we provided them with all the tools they needed so they could kill us. is what it comes down to. The other thing here again, anything is better than nothing and I will remind everybody yes rags especially nuclear or even low chemical rags and goggles if nothing else. NBC, forgive me, CSCN or any of the riot agents guys are designed to attack mucus membrane. If you can block it, cheesecloth, cottoncloth is your first best choice You can use the polymer on the outside, the plastics on the outside like polyester to use as a strainer, slashes as a pre-filter. If you just have to cover your face, the big thing is to also cover your eyes. Now, if you do have work goggles, this is a plus-minus thing, but remember that most of those work goggles you have that actually suck to your face, they breathe. So the other thing you need is what is the nuclear biological and chemical officers and NCOs. Next best friend is duct tape. Mr. Duct tape is your friend. Remember that that's all you need to seal up those air holes so that you don't have the particulate coming in and making contact with that mucous membrane that you know the wet stuff that surrounds your eye. That's right. Which also, it's gonna hurt. Yeah, ouch ouch ouch ouch we want to prevent it. Tell you what we're at the bottom of the hour we're gonna go to break here in a minute. MainMilitary.com, MainMilitary.com, MainMilitary.com, but also a couple of other sources we'll give in a minute here when we come back off break. Don, your number for night vision before we go. Very good. And employing certain technologies, we don't have to worry about deploying and employing it ourselves. We have to understand how the other side is going to do it. We'll be back. But what I've seen with the forecast coming up here, at least the long term forecast, while we were down in Florida, by the way, you can get to see much, but we got to see a little bit. Interestingly enough, the forecast for most of the 75 corridor, all the way up here to where we are, is wet. and going to stay that way. So we're looking at, we still going to have a dry out season. Guys, you get the crops, we do have to dry them out. That is going to happen, but it's interesting to see how the switch is going to hit. Some areas are finally now starting to dry up. We are at the end of August. We're starting to see the things start to suck in a little bit, which is what we need. For the rest of our regular fruit growers and such, a little case in point. Don, remember what I said about apples? This has been the record year for Apple production in Michigan. They've now acknowledged that. Now guys, that's just a little sample of you got that kind of resource, you don't let that go to waste. Get a food dryer. Learn to make applesauce. Learn to can. Learn to, if all fails you can freeze it, that gives you an extension. We know all the other issues. Tell me about having a freezer. We have a freezer. We understand the priorities and how you'd have to deal with it if you go into a situation with a loss of power. I don't really plan on keeping the cooler going. It will last long enough that we can start cycling the food out and processing it in other ways if we have to. The big thing is convenience and an alternative. Many different ways to store food. Diversification. There are other means of electricity to keep a freezer running too. The Amish make a propane refrigerator which can be run off of propane or natural gas. But if you really had to because all you're doing is moving that Oh coolant around the radiator is if you could create a heat big enough behind it you can still keep going you can also pedal it oh yeah never all that propane is doing is moving that little motor so goes we're so it moves a compressor uh... pedal faster I say faster you know or again a couple other solutions the it would vary depending on what you need to do but that's just one food drying oh you could wait but I wanted if you had the Resource you could even run it with a small windmill. Yes, exactly if your imagination Running a shaft out the back of the system if you're paying on the design You actually could be working the entire thing off of a wind fan for the majority of the time that it needs to be an easy to operate Just another example as to you know There is no need for us to fall back into the stone age Well, and the next step is remember it's getting towards winter. Oh Pretty soon the temperature outside will be pretty much the same as that freezer inside So when you make a little igloo and you store your meat outside, that's right. And you have to keep fight off the bears and... Well, that's why you make the igloo out of ice and you put a door on. No, no, that was the plan in the first place. I got bear rugs and I got a bird. Do you know what a bear golf ladder is worth these days? That's right. Remember when the Chinese show up, you're gonna be able to market stuff like that. Gullbladder, you know, bear gallbladder, make me very strong warrior. Yeah, yeah, that's right Fred. Yeah, watch this. Yeah, chow ching. By the way, that's not a bear bladder. I'll tell him afterwards, while he's laying on the ground bleeding after we ambush his ass later, excuse me, ours later on. Yeah, well, it wasn't bear gallbladder. That's why it probably didn't work. It was pig gallbladder. You had lots of those around, you know, these slaughter things left and right. So don't worry. It was kind of close. Obviously, that's probably why the magic didn't work. Okay, sorry about that Chang. Goodbye. So, chao chu bong! Anyway, yeah, just think about it. If you do lure something in, just try to make sure it's edible. Okay, and we ain't talking people there. Okay, so that's another thing. The other thing about with regard to operations, we were talking earlier about again NBC, indicators and identification systems slash warning systems. Let me point something out. All of that technology is available over the counter. Do you all understand that? Virtually every system the government has and fairly reasonably priced for what it is, is available straight over the counter. And you know one of the places you can go is Granger. The exact same field sensor that we were all trained to operate is available from Granger in its flat metal neutral pattern rather than OD Green or Savannah Tan. The exact same model. Air quality control technology that pretty much has been forced upon a lot of the industry because of state and federal requirements, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Well guys, the thing is it makes all that technology readily available to us. I made a point while I was at the youth, every time I had another department that I was taking over, guess what? All of our air quality control technology had to be upgraded and we made sure we had multiple copies. And that meant that we had oxygen sensor, we had biological hazard sensors, the whole technology was on the shelf so that if need be, you walk over the shelf, put it in your ditty bag, and all of it goes down the road with you. Chargers, spare batteries, spare sensor chips, the whole nine yards. See how that works? Now you might want to think that if you're working in a place between OSHA and your state's equivalent to OSHA, you do understand that by state law that air quality control technology has to be on the site. Oh, which means that you don't necessarily have to be the one footing the bill, but it does mean the technology would be readily available at your fingertips when the time comes. Hint, hint, hint. Not many people are going to be thinking about that. Most people aren't even thinking about breathing right now. It comes second nature when you're gasping for breath and flopping around like a fish on the ground because the Israelis have set something off in the United States. Well, that's a different world, isn't it? So again, you may still get caught flat-footed in the wrong place at the right time. Don't be surprised. We're not saying the world is going to be perfect. That has never been the case. So like we said, walking out to the mailbox, sometimes you make a mistake. Okay, it happens. So instead, we did talk about luring in a bear, didn't we? That's right. Sometimes you bite the bear. Sometimes the bar gets us. We're going to try to avoid that one if we can. So to do that, we've got to think ahead. And in that particular venue, again, that particular direction, with the sensor technology, a lot of this stuff is not as expensive as you would think, but yes, it is going to be money, and it's brand new in the box. Granger doesn't sell used. You get Madrid, so don't be shocked. I've got a Granger catalog, one of our allies, he just got three of them. He dropped off one with us, it's the latest. I just looked. Any money you want to spend, you can spend on a gas mask. You want to spend $2,000 on an air system? You can. You want to pick up a sealed air system? You can. You want a Scott Air pack or a variation? You can. Those are sealed systems. Okay? Those aren't bad and for evacuation purposes absolute isolation from the environment is a good thing. But don't think you're going to be just sprinting around when you put all this equipment on. You know, take into consideration that when you start talking air tanks and all the other fun stuff, just as a precaution, go visit your volunteer fire department. Go take a look at the equipment they use. Ask to pick it up and look at, hey, this is really cool. I was thinking about being a volunteer. You know, what kind of gear do you guys use? Oh, well, come here. We'll show you right now. Come on over here. Well, can I pick it up? Well, I sure you can, young soldier. Go right ahead. Now, after you get a chance to figure that out, understand that if you're thinking about going to that system, remember you can't get rid of it and you might need it again and it's going to be there in your back and there's no time out. Okay? So just little things to remind you about. If you do put something into the formula, start using it to find out how it abuses you. Oh, I'm sorry, how it helps you. I'm sorry, did I say that? Yes, abuse. It still abuses. It can hurt. Let's put it this way, guys. We're worried about carrying a seven-pound rifle in the US military. Seven pounds, gone, that's nothing. Guys, we should... Hold on to my AR-50. Just carry this for me for a while, son. I'll carry that 9... I'll carry that aluminum rifle with all your doodads on it. I'll carry that for you for the rest of the day. Yeah, exactly. Well, but what's interesting, remember, we had a 9-pound M1 Garand and about a 9-pound M14, and we had to shave 2 pounds off it because we were worried about 2 pounds. And we're going to say, well, two pounds is nothing. Do you carry it every day? Now, just as a point. Now, remember, air packs, ultra light backpacks, start adding all this stuff up. Like the old sard said, I had the ultra light backpack, and the ultra light this, and the ultra light that, and the ultra light canteen. But by the time I put everything together, I wasn't very ultra light. Didn't fly very well. Okay, but if so it's gonna happen matter what you're gonna stay to accumulating weight So you have to balance this out and state, you know again Do the math on this I highly recommend again if you're gonna look at carrying a spare mask by the Russian possum masks Any of the black or the tan or the gray, East German, Romanian, Russian, they all take a 40 millimeter filter. They typically do not have a voice mitter. The policy of the Warsaw Pact and the Russian military with their infantry was you follow orders, you don't talk back. The sergeants, the officers, they had voicemitters so they could shout orders to you that were given to them by the commissar. Typically if it was given to them by the commissar it was a very bad order and probably would get you all slaughtered. But you'd still be barking the order given to them by the commissar if not the commissar himself barking the order and then standing there while you charge into the meat grinder. Because the cowardly commissar, the swine yahooty trash, are always good for that. See, so just something to think about there. Now the thing about those possum masks, minimal parts, minimal component, takes up a minimal amount of space. Basically, the mask is so light that the filter weighs more. Okay? But you can have a second mask you're carrying in your backpack for safety purposes. You carry your primary mask on your person and I will repeat again something I have to keep emphasizing. You never take the gas mask off your kit. You never take the gas mask off you if somebody else wants to do that with another group or an organization or unit fine I don't care. It's not a problem. You're with me. This is our SOP. This is policy We never take the gas mask off the kit. In fact, it's worn if you remember you were in the military. Guys, you remember you put the gas mask on. That's wrapped around your waist if you did it in the low carry. If you did it in the high carry under the armpit, it still went on first. Then you put your web gear on. Then you put your backpack on. But if you take anything off, the one thing that's not coming off your body is that gas mask. Think about it. And this is, let's be honest, okay Don, you just told me that NBC, Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Threat, was on the National News Service today, wasn't it? Yep. Right there on the national television, right? Oh yes. So it's a real threat, right? They'd like us to believe it they kind of do I'm gonna rub it right in their face on this one. You know what you they're absolutely right Yeah, let's do it this way if it is and what can government do for me with regard to protecting me if something like that happens Where's my gas mask uncle Sam? Yeah, where do I go to get mine? I'm signing up for to go pick it up tomorrow Can I go get my gas mask since you're just telling me there's a biological and chemical threat out there and I'll probably nuclear Where do I go to get my gas mask from you guys? Hey government, let's all call them up tomorrow and ask where do I go to get my free gas pass because I've been paying taxes for 50 years Well in my case 40 years. Oh wait a no no 43 years Okay, I've been paying tax. I paid taxes for 43 years. I should get at least one stinking government gas mask, right? Wait a minute. They don't think you deserve it. They don't think you do you know exactly what kind of response you're gonna get Well, who do you think you are? That's all I needed to hear. Thank you very much. I know who I am. I know the value of my life So since I can't expect anything from you turds, I'm on down the road See that's the point here is that on the one hand This is all this tension and chewing on toenails and whatever well embrace it in that respect not to panic Not to run around like a chicken with your head cut off. It's like well go buy a gas mask Did you see in the news yesterday? Oh my god? You said go buy a gas mask what? Well, do you believe the threat is real? Do you believe the news media is telling you the truth? Ask every booby out there that starts flapping their stuff where they start stirring the pot. Do you believe that that's real? Yes! Well, you need a gas mask. Why would I need a gas mask? Well, you just said that... Wait a minute. Let's back up here and start with question one. Did you... You just told me you believe the government and this threat's real. Well, I'm trained. I've been in the military. I'm private circles. I think I'm better trained, to be quite honest, than I was when I was in the military in many ways. Although I traditionally knew how to adapt and develop. If you see some of the pictures of me running the gas chamber, guys, I'm wearing four generations of technology. I'm even wearing a World War II gas cape. Wanna know why? It worked better than the modern sandwich gas cape. If you're going to be in the environment, I had to be in a pee yellow environment that was in the air and I had to keep it going for about seven hours a day. Actually, more like nine, but I got a break in the middle of the day, but I had to run officers, NCOs, all the enlisted through that site in one day. That means I've got to sustain that chemical environment and the door opens, the door closes. People leave and they carry it with them. You've got to activate more material. You use pellets or you use grenades. In my case, I learned a long time ago, order the pellets, run the chamber that way. Now you know what? If you're in there, it saturates everything. You think when you leave the room you left it behind? Now guess what we're- It just waves out with you like your pig pin. And in fact even though you have the mask on, it's saturating your clothing, it's saturating even the outer layers of your skin. Like your pig pen. Yeah, like pig pen. You're dragging with it. People walk up to you and they're like, you can tell they're trying to be not polite, but they're like, their eyes are in certain water. Well, it burns. You know, it's like, oh, where have you been? And it's like, I just finished the, yeah, I got to go change here. I'll be back. I go get a shower going too. But the whole point is guys that the World War II gas cape for that environment. worked better because it didn't lock in any of the material. Now the sandwich works and breathes, but you combine it and that outer layer ensured that nothing locked in. The sandwich layer did its part. The regular M17A2 hood did fine. Everything was cool. But again, when I was done after a project like that, the equipment was shed, the filters were changed, everything had to be because I'd been in the environment in what is a heavy concentration. Now, you're not supposed to be in that type of situation all in most every piece of equipment you have out there will effectively survive and keep you alive in the type of environment you're probably going to see. Even if they drop, you know, everybody goes, well, they're going to have missiles and they're going to do this unless they're tactically on the ground. All those strategic delivery systems are very limited despite, except for the nukes and even there, if you're not under the bomb, your probability rating goes up dramatically. If it is under the bomb, oh well, bummer of a birthmark, Frank, you rolled the wrong dice and you lost. So, oh well, then you don't have to worry about anything. You're done. Okay, but other than that, there's category B, C, D, E, F, G. And that's what you better be thinking about. The one thing about this with these shysters is there's no doubt that they want to try and get some BS going. If we're better prepared than they are, it doesn't serve them. You see how it works? It's why all the debate back and forth about Y2K. Let's go back to that for just a minute. Y2K was the switch wasn't hit. I argued right from the beginning knowing what we knew about Y2K two or three years before anybody even knew what the hell that meant. As we said, what our logic was they were setting it up so they could hit the switch and if everybody was caught flat-footed they could play power games. But when we're better prepared tactically and across it's like what just happened with the ammunition. When all of a sudden the ammo in the mags and everything disappear and they're not in the warehouse, well they went somewhere. Well sure they did, we got them. So that changes the formula for the short term tactical close up activities and the strategic overview. Now you want to change the formula? You keep doing what we're talking about. Yeah you got a gas mask? Oh my god did you see what they said to it? Did you get a gas mask? You better buy a gas mask while it's cheap. Once you got it, it's on the shelf, it's yours. It's the best stinking insurance policy you will ever buy because at least you got something. You know that? How many dollars have you paid in auto insurance? And even if you do use the insurance policy, you are punished for doing that. Remember? On top of that, you know, we got a bunch of people who got check gas masks for cheap state-of-the-art top-of-the-line Because of after September 11th people have decided they need to go out and buy gas masks because they needed to be prepared But then they turned around and being panty-wasted and you know decided well, it wouldn't happen. I don't need it I'm gonna sell it, you know and now I guarantee you some of the same people are out there looking for gas masks and they're paying four times what they paid for back then exactly By the way, I know I'm going to change the subject here because we're getting close down, but Sportsman's Guide, something I caught here. You know what? Not everything in Sportsman's Guide is cheap, but every once in a while they have stuff there where it jumps off the board at me. They have LC2 Y suspenders. They're brand new. A set of two US military padded suspenders in Coyote Brown. Now, they're $15 for two. That's $7.50 for a brand new pair of Y suspenders. They're Coyote Brown, sliced desert tan. I don't know if they're the dark or if they are the lighter shade. Who knows? Actually, for a lot of you guys in the brownout or if you're looking for winter camo. Then the coyote browns and the whites are your choices. Take a look at your beautiful little paintings of Remington or whoever else where you see people in the field. Notice the savannah tan grass strands coming up through the snow. The reeds from the swamps are tan. They're brown. So, the shade color range for all this desert stuff doesn't necessarily work all the season, but when you start getting into the fall and then into the winter and into the early spring with still snow, this is good gear and this is brand new equipment. Now, listen up. The number is WX2-235544. Again, WX2. 235544. Two new US military padded suspenders, Kyoji. They are $13.50 if you're a buyer's club, $15 if you're a non-member, $7.50 a piece, they're brand new, your tax dollars paid for these. They'll work with a standard pistol belt. Again, if you're patient, you'll find Savannah Tan belts out there, slash Coyote. You'll find three-colored desert, whatever if you need pouches. etc. etc. but if you're patient and you look around you'll find the stuff marked down. Look in the close outs, the desert stuff, there's hodgepodge here, bits and pieces there. Well, this is brand new, two pairs, new US military padded suspenders, two sets. WX2-235544 WX2-235544 and that is SportsmansGuide.com Sportsmen's Guide dot com. If you pick and choose from the list of junk that's out there, it's not junk but you know stuff, you'll end up outfitting a lot of people for your 5-10 program or for your personal use.
