The evening episode of August 15, 2013 featured Nancy Kornke and Don Betcher discussing family health crises, including Mark Koernke's mother Juanita in ICU following a stroke and colon surgery, and Joe McNeil's wife Kelly hospitalized for liver surgery. The hosts provided mailing addresses for supporters to send cards and donations. The bulk of the episode centered on philosophical discussion about self-improvement, training versus practice, attention to detail, and the importance of following proper procedures in martial arts, firearms handling, cooking, and education. Topics included homeschooling curricula (Conlora and Rebecca books), language mastery, gun maintenance, and the dangers of non-conformity in structured learning environments. The hosts also discussed a criminal trespass incident on Mark Baker's organic farm where someone disabled sensors and opened gates to release pigs.

He took off his three-cornered hat and speaking low to me, he said, We fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost. You're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number, you've traded in your name, you've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail, harass your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctor so their children can be born. leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children and fear and be a slave? Most sons of the Republic arise. Take a stand. Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land. Preserve our great Republic in each God-given right. And pray to God, keep the torture freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true. We are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each God given right we only watch him tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Is this still the land? We are go. You're listening to the Intelligence Report. I'm Edward Kornke. And I'm Nancy Kornke. And we, I believe we have Don on the line as well. I think so too. Alright, so I'll let Don take over instead of Mima. Alright, sounds like a great deal there. Thank you. Thank you Don. As always. Yeah, we haven't done this in a while. It's been a while, yeah. Today is the 15th day of August, isn't it? All day. 12, 13, 14, yeah it's the 15th day of August, year of our Lord, 2013. How does that go? You're tuned to Liberty Tree Radio, broadcast to all points of the compass and to each and every one of our brothers and sisters on and behind the lines in occupied territories. You might be listening on an AM or an FM, one of the short rangers. I call you the short rangers rather than the, oh, what, the micro people? Because the short ranger gives you a little more militant bent, doesn't it? It sounds a little more aggressive than the micro broadcasters. So you might be listening on an AM or an FM short ranger. You might be listening throughout most of Michigan, I'm told now, on one of the high 20's CB channels. That should spread across the nation. CBs are still common enough to do that. But again, let's put the final benchmark on the date. It is the 15th day of August, year of our Lord 2013. And we've done the I'm Don Betcher. We've done that already. Yes, we have. With that in mind, we've got Nancy with us. Nancy, first thing I want to know is how's Mark's mom? Well, she's still in the hospital, still in intensive care, and nowhere near out of the woods yet. So that's where that's at. She had a stroke, and then they had to do a remove part of her colon, which is very, very risky business. It's a very narrow margin of success rate. statistically for people coming out of a stroke having to have that done. So she's still in ICU but she is doing better, at least you're not working on her every 20 minutes anymore. So that's a positive thing. Don, I know too, you know, I appreciate everybody's prayers for Mark's mom. Her name's Juanita Carroll, Corn Key of course. So you know, prayers there would be greatly appreciated. We also need prayers Two for Kelly McNeil. Joe's wife from the morning programs that we do here with the intelligence report. She is in the hospital also in ICU. She had to undergo some surgeries to take care of some health problems there that really got Interinvolved once you're dealing with the organs. She had a growth, I believe, on her liver that got big enough. It was interfering with the blood flow in one of the main arteries. So she was in really bad shape. And Joe's going to be back and forth there. Don, do you have their contact information? I thought Mark had it in his book. The address, not offhand. You know, I never once wrote that down. Oops! I do have someplace here, a letter. Right, from Joe. It's just, yeah, it's a matter of, it's not at hand. I could always have Ed going and pick up the card in the house. I've got all these packages for I thought for sure being his book here and of course it's not so yeah the mark has put together for doing the show because usually Everything's here very very well organized one of the few things that he has really well organized This is his book for doing the programming. So yeah, I was I come out and I was like, oh, it's got to be there Yeah, of course it's that That's a way of one of those Rosanna Rosanna Dana moments. It's like oh, it just goes to show it's always something right, right? Oh My goodness. Yeah, so it's there but you know if you want to send it's a you know mark a card you can always do that He's gonna run down and see his mom so that is we'll be getting updates during the week, but I will be here Definitely in the morning, tonight I have the evening off from work, so this is a good thing. Where I can actually fill in. And it's always a joy to be here with you, that it is. But if you'd like to send a note to Mark, it's at PO Box 194, Dexter, Michigan 48130. It's an unexpected trip to have to make, but you know... Our folks are getting up there in age. Oh yeah. Both of his parents are 92. So, you know, they've lived good long lives wonderful people dad still going strong mom's mom's been around You know and I look back at this and a lot of why don't you upset? It's like, you know, I feel really blessed and really lucky that we've had her as long as we've had She's been she's had a pacemaker. She's had a pacemaker for probably 20 25 years now that without that, you know, you thank God for technology because without that she would have Not been with us a long time ago long long time ago. My mother has a case. I heard a bell. Do we have someone just listening in or did you have questions or something that you'd like to say? Hey star six will unmute you. Okay, you want to come on board. There we go. I didn't know that. That's that's interesting. So you do that from your own. Okay, so somebody's just listening in and that's cool. Again, we appreciate your prayers. Take all the prayers we can get, of course, for family members. It just seems to be just a huge rash of things that have happened in the last two weeks. I know Mark has mentioned on your air that John Lupine, Romanian John, passed away. We went to the funeral a week ago today, as a matter of fact. Very dear man, very strong patriot. here in this community passed away of cancer, liver cancer. So again, you know, it's just, yeah. It usually runs in on you real quick, like a speedboat, like a dive bomber. It does, it does. Liver cancer, when they said liver cancer, I said, oh, okay, well, that explains why it was so quick, you know, because we never knew he was ill. I saw him this last, some, this last winter, rather, a couple times. And he had stopped by about a month ago and looked fine. I mean, he's a very active individual. He does cross-country skiing, did cross-country skiing, swam every day during the summer, and then also soccer. So, very, very active. That's trying to us unto itself to truly play soccer. You're constantly working wild. Yeah, yeah, at 60, you know. out on the field with these, what we call young kids now that are in their late 20s, early 30s. So, very active, very healthy gentleman, and then just, wow, gone. That was unexpected. But it's been a rash of things, one after another after another here. So, please keep us in your prayers and of course, for anyone that you know, if you've got any requests of that nature for us to put out on the air as a prayer chain for someone that we will happily do that for you. Oh, yeah. And again, don't forget the McMeals. That's right. That's right. Kelly is there and she's a fighter. She's had to go through quite a bit in these last few days and Joe's been trying to keep it on the QT and it's like, no. She's like, no. We can pray and we can send support. They're an hour from the hospital, one way. So he's back and forth during the day and trying to run the station too, that's a lot of work. and raise a family and take care of the critters and everything there. So yeah, he's got a full day and then some. And he had that stroke this last spring too, remember. So he's still in the recovery process himself and if he gets run down, it's going to be a problem. There is one other thing I want to mention brought to my attention by our dear friend Wendy. Lady Fitgullove, in the chat room for those of you that know her, there was a criminal trespass on Mark Baker's farm up here in Michigan. The gentleman, you've been to his site, there's a YouTube posting that he put there about 1 a.m. last night. Somebody came in, opened the gates, and turned the sensors, three of the sensors off. to let the pigs loose. So he came home at 11 o'clock and found the piggies were trying to get into the pen. Somebody let them loose, but they wanted back in. The gates were all wide open. Gates that would normally be open and the ones they were used to go and you know, they wanted it back into their home where they could go to bed. They were waiting. So that tells you, you know, they were trying to release the pigs into the wild and get them for, you know, that wild pig thing. Again, but the piggies are too smart. He had cameras, he had cammered the place up, like we had said, and three of those sensors were turned off. He didn't turn him off and he didn't open those gates somebody else it had to be a human being And I would encourage everyone to get with him because he was talking about canceling speaking engagements that were coming up that are going to be well attended by other other farmers and you know ecologist things if Dealing with what he deals with in an organic farming for the chickens and the eggs and the pigs. This is something that he really needs to do. And he's going to need help to be able to make that happen, but you can't stay up 24-7. And our adversaries know that. He left home for a couple of hours and comes back and they're loose. So and it was very obvious someone had opened the gate and someone had turned off those sensors So pretty smart smarter than most dogs They don't know about the sensors. They know about that. They know what they gave them like a break Yeah, let's do that. But first we got to kill all the sensors and cut off the cameras Watch watch that was all in the way going to pig talk Hey, you know, you've never heard a pig talk before, but if you're going to hear it talk, it's going to be on the intelligence report. And we've addressed this, you know, if you can't keep your spirits up, they've got you half beat already. And that's it. If you can't make yourself laugh or make somebody else laugh, well, shame on you. Right. Right. I do have a message in the chat room. They're asking what's wrong with with Jo McNeil's wife. She had a growth, a large, very large cyst on her liver that had to be removed and it created a number of other issues for her. It was it was putting weight on an artery going to the heart so she wasn't getting the blood flow that she needed. It was affecting Some other organs as well. They remove the gallbladder Number of issues that had to be drenched. She is in ICU So yeah, please Send her some get well cards folks if you can send him donations because he's like I said he's back and forth to the hospital because he still has the kids to take care of the radio station to take care of and the animals and He's recovering from a stroke himself. Okay, so let's get I know he's doing really well, but You can wear yourself down, especially when your body, it takes a while for the body to recover, a good 18 months for the body to fully recover from surgery. So, let's lighten the load for Joe there. Hello everybody. Hey, how you doing? Hey, this is Phyllis in Pennsylvania. I'm fine. Thank you. Very good. I don't know if you found an address for Joe, but I have that. Oh, bless you because yeah, it was in the house. I thought Mark had it in his book here and that's one thing that's not here. So if you could please give that out. Sure. It's Joe McNeil. It's PO Box 164, Kami'ai, Idaho 83536. And that address does work. You want to repeat that slowly again, please? Sure, it's Joe McNeil, P.O. Box 164, Kamiye, Idaho 83536. Thank you. And then I can get that out repeated through the hour too. For anybody else that is looking for that information. I'll put it in the chat room too, folks. What else you got, Phyllis? That's about it. Other than that, nothing guys. Everything is quiet in Meadville, Pennsylvania right now. Awesome. Thank you. And give my love to those crazy guys. Pardon me? Our crazy broadcasters down there. Give them my love. Big hug. I haven't talked to Darrell in a little while. Wonderful people. Yeah, they are. Yeah, they really are good guys. Anyway, alrighty guys, we'll take care and I'll certainly pass that on to them. God bless, thank you so much. You too. Bye now. That was great. Again, the address for Kelly McNeil, you can do to Joe McNeil in attention Kelly. PO Box 164, Kamiye, Idaho. and the zip there is 83536. Again, that's 83536. P.O. Box 164, Kamiye, Idaho. And again, that was, you know, that's something if we can just keep her, oh, thank you. They just put it in the chat room so I don't have to. Bless you. Thank you, Jade Parrott. And thanks for doing that for me. My typing and talking doesn't always work out well. Oh goodness. But yeah, it's... But I can shoot gum in roller-skate. I wouldn't do that. I'd bite my tongue. Get a bump and... Ah! That hurts! That's a way of things. What did you have in the works for tonight? Because I know I didn't get a chance to really go there. Oh, this is... I've got that ring, Eddie. I thought I'd mentioned that. Cool. This is without... It's good to have Nancy up. We can talk about putting up food. We can talk about the gardening things, but even talk about other things. All you have to do is ask Nancy about homes. Oh boy. There we go. At any rate, you'll bring up the examples of why. You can bring up examples of where to go for information. What about the standards from state to state? And good sources to get that information. Actually, the best source I found for information on homeschooling requirements from state to state is right here in Ann Arbor. Downtown Ann Arbor is a private school that does homeschooling internationally. Okay? get wrap your brain about that one. Um, yeah. Oh, Becca. It's not a Becca. It's Con Laura. They use the Rebecca book. Well, we use the Rebecca book, Zed. And that was my choice because I found them to be very, very, I like the Rebecca books. And that's actually out of a Christian college in Pensacola, Florida. This is where they're produced and they do everything from preschool through high school. But typically what I found with their books is they're about a year, year and a half ahead of your public schools. And everything is step by step. And a lot of the old school shortcuts to check your work, be it math, be it English, whatever, is all included. There are shortcuts that I never knew existed, casting out of nines in dealing with mathematics. There are just so many neat little quips. and rules for grammar, for spelling, for mathematics especially that were never addressed when I went to the public school system that I loved. But for the qualifications from state to state, Conlora covers all of them. They have to have that information and they do it internationally for families that go off to do missionary work as families overseas. So they can still continue with US curriculum that will keep them not only on par with public schools but above public schools by a good year, year and a half. The reason I can say that because they start their algebra program in sixth grade. sixth and seventh grade for for their curriculum is where they get into the first algebra 1, algebra 2, and then into geometry calculus and trigonometry and and even have chemistry courses and You know your higher your higher science and math skills are all there and they're phenomenal. It's like a check. Don, see if you still got that echo. one two three still it's hard now yeah yeah we're working with it that's right yeah will get past it back i think i think it's gone now isn't it one two three yeah it looks like i got rid of it three there for a year and still hear me down oh yeah five five okay good then yes gone yeah we love it when things work right hey let me ask you this i've i'm doing something in a completely different vein here but do you recognize the phrase Bow ideal? Bow ideal? Yeah. No. If you go in the dictionary, bow ideal comes up to be the perfect example or a very model of, I just wondered if you would recognize that phrase because I'm doing something with it and there seemed to be a lull there for a moment and I thought I'd squeak in a question. No, I have not heard that phrase. That's interesting. Okay. Neither had I until today and when I I found it and thought, oh that's pretty neat, I'll use it. Continuing to dig at the language, that's always something good. Just like we try to learn how to fight better and better and continue to train, or why we would pick up a gun and learn how to take this gun apart and put it back together. Think about it. It's that constant strive to be better at this, that, or the other thing. I'm an avid do-it-yourselfer, and if I don't know how to do it, I have no problems. Go getting a book and looking at it and go step by step. Right. I am probably the third worst, maybe the fifth, maybe. There might be a couple of... Oh, no, no. You've got nothing on the kid I work with. And the scary part is, you know, they didn't really, when I went to public school back in the 60s and 70s, they did not stress. spelling and grammar as heavily as they had in prior years. And now with the computers and spellcheck, people still don't. I mean, I can look in the newspaper and find, OK, that word doesn't make sense. I think it's supposed to be this one, because they'll spell a word and then they'll spell check it and it's a word, but it's the wrong word. I find that a lot in the newspapers even. So they're not, they're letting the computers do the spell check and the grammar rather than an actual person going through and okay that made no sense. And correcting it that way. The old proofreaders like my sister-in-law. Yeah, I typed 60, the minimum was 60 words a minute, she could do 120. Yeah, and, and... That's for the machine gun. Oh yeah, quite the bit. Carp will tunnel up to Gigi now, but... Wow. Yeah, yeah. Taught herself computers and went to the city of Ann Arbor and they told her she was overqualified. Let me run something else by you and when you get to the place where I want you to go, just tell me what I'm making you think of. A library. I think of Bill Bailey. Yeah, Bill Bailey and It's a Wonderful Life. Thank you very much. I didn't even have to go to the pedals in the watch pocket. As soon as you said last day of the moon, that's it. Most people recognize that right away if they've seen that movie. Sometimes when you try to do something in a very small arena, you try to bring other things that are huge into it that will not fit. Now that might seem, what would that word be, in code or Not very clear clear, but you can do this in in other arenas, too It's like go back to that fighting It runs over to you've heard it said many times on the hour you show your opponent something He's never seen before and in that instant that moment that that minute hour or day You can win you can gain the victory Because while he's pondering on, while he's wondering what just happened, you're still on your mission, right? And sometimes all it takes is that instant for, you know, one-on-one fight for your opponent to wonder what just happened. And if you take advantage of that, if the fight is over and you win. And sometimes when a general wonders what just happened, he can't figure it out for a day or three. And in that time, he loses an army. See how that works? Hi, here's somebody in the background and I know who it is. Henry, mute yourself or I'll do it. We don't have to continue this thought line. We've got Henry. Let's bring Henry on board. Hi, Henry. I didn't think we were making any noise. I'm sorry about that. That's all right. Oh, that's okay. No need to apologize. That's all right. Oh, I was just calling up to claim that number one spot is the worst speller in the world. Try saying. You got nothing to do with it. It's a handicap. Oh, but this only, thank you for leading me back to that because I tried to describe it into a different way. But you guys, if you don't know how to take apart your SKS, you can go on the Internet and you can punch up, push this, that, or the other thing. I'm not a computer person. But if you've got a printer, eventually you've got to print it out how to take apart your SKS. And it's pretty neat. You can print out the whole little manual that came here from China when they first started coming here from China, if you can find it. I'm certain you can find it on the Internet. The point here is, There's so much help out there. Even though the other side, they would put the foot on top of your head and you're trying to climb out of the pool. They'll put one foot on your finger on the rail and the other foot on top of your head while they're holding onto the ladder and leaning. You see how that works? But again, there's so many different ways to take yourself forward. Right. Trying to master the language, trying to master this gun or that gun, or a thought line that we've presented as of late, like what's in front of you, what's to your 45 degrees, left and right. And even if you can't see beyond the room, generally you know what is the other side of that wall, don't you? Yes. Now think about that. These are kind of abstract thoughts, and thank you for backing that up immediately, Nancy. No hesitation. Thank you. Because most people in their mind are saying this, but they don't think beyond the wall most of the time. Now you might wonder, well he's just talking in goofy thought lines here. But to think beyond the wall, I can think bullets beyond the wall too then, can't I? Absolutely. See how that works? It's simple. If you want to run it in that direction. I'm listening. No, I'm just saying, if you're thinking about it, the approach to your front door. If you see a vehicle belonging to an undesirable individual that you don't want in your house and they're approaching and they're a threat, then you know the approach to your home, to that front door. If you can see if there's an area where you can't see the full walkway, then yeah, you have that target opportunity right there. Yes, another way to describe this is on my left hand, I can count less than the fingers and thumb on my left hand, the times, but they were very necessary to take the described action in a moment when you know, when it is beyond a doubt that there's going to be a fight and you're going to be in it here real quick, three or four times, I've been the guy that takes the first punch, but when you know, when the bull is, so to speak, running at you, When the dive bomber is coming out of the sky, when the speedboat loaded with explosives apparently makes you the target, we've addressed that in a number of different ways. But why wait for the first blow to come your way? Why wait to even try to dodge it? Now this goes back over to thinking the other side of the wall also, doesn't it? Because if you know it is inevitable that it is going to happen, you might as well throw your hat in the ring right now. And that's a historical phrase there. That goes over the hat and the ring for the fighter or the hat and the ring for the World War I flyers that went to the once before America was in the war. They threw their hat in the ring. They knew the war was coming. And they took their ability and ran to the front, so to speak. They might have flown. But there's another cliche from Don, but you get where I'm going with this. If you have the ability and you are trying to make it better and you see that need some place where that ability can flourish, can be appreciated, can be put to work, take it there. Think the other side of the wall and things get easier. Now, that's kind of, you might think, well, that's just a twist on the the phrase, think outside the box, and you might look at it that way. That's true. There aren't a whole lot of original phrases left. Otherwise, you'd have heard one or two of them from Don as of late. It's always fun to make them up. Yeah, exactly. But I've been working on that as of late. That bow ideal. Boy, you should imagine some of the words you can put in front of him behind that. Now you're talking BEAU right? Yeah, yeah like the French word. Oh perfect idea That's what you're saying there Don is adapt and overcome. Oh, man you boiled all of that those words down from down to just three or four man You make me look real better. That's what I did. That's what I did Don I had I adapted and overcome. Yeah, the principal's daughter and I've been dictating ever since But again, it's that strive to get better that allows you to sometimes see that out. To have that option, I can do this and I think I will. See how that works? If you don't push yourself, there's probably no one else who will. Are you going to college? Are you still in school where you have someone and you sit down at the desk or you move into that arena, so to speak, and someone says, today we will get better at this. And when we're done, if I can see 3% improvement in the whole of the group, then we'll try to get better at something else. How many people, raise your hand, I can see two or three hands coming up out there in the crowd. How many people live in a situation like that? There's another, there's another. And I'm being facetious here, you know, because we're on the radio. But not a whole lot of people even have this thought line and try to work it every day, even just for a little while. Pick up the dictionary, learn a new word today. Go into, if you have that computer, go into, man, I've never held an Uzi in my hand. Go over there, punch in Uzi-I. Yeah, yeah, Uzi-I. And look at that exploded view. And with that exploded view, it's almost as if you could hold it in your hand and learn how to take it apart. But you'll be a lot more familiar with it than if you never had even moved in that direction. See where we're going with that? A lot of you have heard the phrase straw man. You know the upper, the thought line of it, the replaceable person or the substitute person. That would be another way to put it. But how deep do you know in that? How much do you know about how deep that reaches into your life? Into your life, whether you choose to purchase a gun for someone else or not. See, that's a definition of straw man right there. That's a straw man purchase. But there are so many ways that phrase, straw men, can be applied into your life and you're living it now and you don't even know it. Most people don't. Mark brings that to your attention. Every time we move in that direction he'll elaborate on that. Oh yeah. Yeah. There's so much. I'm sorry. No, no, no. You're absolutely right. You will. And it is used in so many different ways. Oh gosh. Just in thinking that straw men that they made with your social security number. Okay. That's now being it's never was never supposed to be as an identification identification number Everyone's demanding that number to do business with them now My social security card is so old it says on the bottom not to be used as identification right across the bottom of it Oh, yeah Yeah, it's crazy. Everybody in the brother wants wants that number. Yeah, when you talk to him about you know Even utilities it's crazy Oh, your driver's license number brings you into a commercial frame known as a driver. Whereas before you were just somebody passing by like, you know, did you see that ship over there? Right. Night time. At any rate, you know, things we urge you, this goes over and let's many times we'll ask you to compare an inch to a mile. This thought line runs over to the extent of the difference between practice and training. You can say, let's offer an example, practice and training. You go to a gun training institute, front site, the Thunder Ranch, whatever, and they tell you all about how to work this gun. This is the decocking lever and there's the target and you start shooting and you're getting better. And you do this and you do that and you'll be even better. And now once you're there and now just move your elbow, the fine little things. Just hold your elbow here and just try to keep your eyes open when the gun discharges. And once you get past that, man, your groups even get smaller. And that's training. But when you go home and you're standing there in your backyard or out on the South 40 or whatever and you're shooting at that target, it might even be the same target. You might have bought and you've paced off, you've measured off to right the exact same distance and all of the other things you've tried to duplicate. But there is no one there telling you turn your foot that little bit, lock that back knee. Don't get lazy now. Hold your shoulders up. Don't hunch over. all of those little things that add up to being consistent and taking that handgun or that long gun, standing shooting and hitting the target consistently. And that's just in that world. The difference between training and practice, the difference between pushing yourself, trying to get better at something, and that's basically what this hour's been about. So again, I'm sorry. Oh, that's okay. Go ahead. I'll finish it, but... You can take that thought line out into the world, but you know what? There are some fine things because you can sit down in that five mile an hour crosswind 90 degrees cross and learn to shoot with that wind and even if there's nobody there if you're taking note if you're Paying the ultimate attention to every shot. That's real hard to do to use that word in there paying the ultimate attention to every shot the condition, the windage, the way the leaves are, the way the grass is just wiggling, even if the target, the paper itself is moving. Not to mention, you know, hey, you. This goes back over to the training part. Put that foot back on the floor. Move that elbow. Don't put bone to bone. You should have bone to flesh when you're sitting, shooting like that. You shouldn't have your elbows on your kneecaps. Don't do that ever again. How many times have I told you? And you know that erks, because I'm the same, you guys. I get into a place and somebody says to me, how many times have I told you? And then you look at them because, you know, the, the, tremendous rank, and you look at them because you're erk just because they said that. And you disrespect them by looking at them. Think about it. Now that, that's in a very narrow field right there that I've just described to you. No, no, no, but it's so true. Exactly, exactly. But it's real. There's a, that's a real situation. I go through it daily, trust me, at work. Exactly. I say, how many times do I have to say, and they just turn around and give me that look like, ugh, she caught me again. Yeah. Again, that's someone who's, you know, if you're trying to, if you're repeating something to an employee or something like that over and over, it is apparent that they're not paying attention. It is apparent that they do not want to improve. It is the horse to water thing. You can show somebody over and over, but if they do not take advantage of that which is shown to them, the instruction, so to speak, the instruction, this is how it is done. This goes over to conformity to a certain extent too, because 30 years ago I brought someone to train under Mr. Shim. And this guy was a non-conformist. I should have thought more about bringing him because he did pay the money and he paid to gain a black belt and he trained for about six or eight weeks and that was it because he just, he was the, I'm gonna do it my way kid. Oh, yeah. And you don't do that inside a highly structured and uniform arena like karate, taekwondo, mudokwans, whatever, aikido. When the instructor says it must be done like this and your foot must be on the floor and when your other foot Sweeps around on the floor. It should be on the floor It should just be brushing across the floor so that your weight does not float and you continue to raise your hips up and take that foot off the floor and your other foot is turning flat-footed across the floor you can't tell if he turned on his toe or on his heel and You tell them over and over and over and eventually you just go to tell somebody down the row once or twice and they get better and you might go back to that person and tell them next week and you might go back and tell them again next month. That's the kind of person who will not advance in rank also. Right. And again, now we're describing inside a very narrow arena. Okay, but if you're if you're not paying attention and if you do not again I use the I'll use if you do not pay attention to those who are trying to make you better Those who want to help you strip away all of that. Who do you have left? But those who do not give a? exactly pile of rat feces about Okay, and would you rather pay attention to them? That doesn't even need an answer. That's a rhetorical question, isn't it? Well, and the thing is, if you get to a point where you're not listening to a point where somebody that does care about you all of a sudden says, you know, it gets in their mind that they're not listening. Why do I want to spend time with someone that is not going to follow and not going to listen? They're going to continually do it wrong and they're either going to get themselves hurt or something else. It could be as serious as get themselves hurt or as menial as they're just wasting their time here. Right. Why bother? Right. And I fully get that because I deal with these kids every day that come into the workplace. You show them the process you tell them why we do things in specific ways and they always want to do a shortcut to get to the end result faster and it's like okay, you're you're either gonna hurt yourself or injure somebody else and And it really comes down to that simple and it's like no Okay, and yeah, I'm in the same boat you get a time again and again and again and it's like okay We do it this way and this is why we do it this way Well, what we've touched on here is the two sides of the same coin, someone who is trying to push themselves to get better versus someone who completely rejects all outbound, all outside input, even in a structured arena like a job. Right. And that's what you're describing, Nancy. Really, there's no difference. When you come down to it, you're talking about a training and learning process. And if, you know, you've got to have the trainees got to listen and follow those instructions to a T. Both in the arena you're talking about and in the arena I'm talking about. When you're dealing with foods, there can be, there's zero margin for error. You can't make an error because if you make an error, you may make someone deathly ill. It's that simple. So you have to follow procedures to ensure, in my case, the safety of the product and the freshness of the product, that it maintains an optimum quality standard. And there's a lot of little things. There's a million ways to do it wrong, but only one way to do it right. And the same is true of karate and dealing with firearms. Boy, if you forget one pen, one spring, and you don't put it back together right, you can have a really bad day, real quick. Oh yeah. Either it doesn't or it's a major malfunction. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there's a myriad of things, but if you have a major metal function where that thing blows up in your face, you got a bad day. Exactly. Or if it doesn't work, That's a major malfunction that your opponent is about to take advantage of. Uh-huh. Then oops, I gotta take it, break it down right in the heat of the bat. Wait a minute, I gotta work on my gun. The cooks generally don't pay attention to that phrase, do they Nancy? No, that's just what they want to hear. In fact, you tele-cook that. Generally he'll grow a grin real quick. Oh yeah. Nope. Not even. Not even. So yeah, you're talking apples and oranges, but they're still fruit. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but again you guys you know this only goes over to what was the start of this trying to be better trying to get better even that even at word crafting You know putting words together or trying to get better at that now now Let's take that plot line because the guy who wrote that SKS service manual if English probably wasn't his primary language Think about it. Where did it come even if it came from Russia? If it came from Russia, it was translated into Chinese by someone who could speak Chinese and Russian. Or, let's be really specific, Russian and Chinese. Now, I don't know if there's really a difference there. If you can speak Chinese and Russian, or Russian and Chinese, I don't know if there's really a difference there. Yeah. That's a joke, you guys. I get it. At any rate, it might be the persuasion. If you can speak Chinese and Russian, perhaps you're Chinese, and if you can speak Russian and Chinese, perhaps you're Russian. So there's some finer points, too. This goes over to even the way the words are arranged. And that goes over to... Did we arrange the firing pin into that gun? Hey guys, we're getting close to the top of the hour. I know Don, you can't stick around for the second hour and I think we've got our other co-hosts who agreed to be up sitting in the wings spiking you there. I just want to make sure. Check, check. One, two. Hey, awesome. How you doing? Alright. Alright. Okay, there we go. Alright, oh my gosh it is. It's 5.55. Didn't realize it. Yeah, it's, you know, gone very, very quickly. As usual, we had fun, you know, talking about just, you know, being able to listen follow directions. I do want to give out real quick for folks that would like to send Kelly McNeil a Get Well card, a little donation, something up that way for Kelly McNeil. and Joe McNeil you can send that to Joe McNeil PO Box 164 Kamiye that's K-M-A-I-A-H Idaho 83536 again that's Joe McNeil PO Box 164 Kamiye Idaho 83536 so send it out there folks send a little something that way She's been through a rough time. She's still in ICU and Joe's making that trek. It's an hour drive there and back folks. Plus, you know, got the kids and the radio station to take care of. So if you could send him a little support, that would be great. And, you know, keep in mind too, he is still recovering from that stroke. It'll be a good 18 months before the body fully recovers to the point of which... It's just not going to get better after that. That's the way it works. So keep that in mind. As always, God bless the Republic. Thank you Nancy. Thank you Spike. God bless your both. God bless America. You have a choice to keep your body clean. If you get cornered, bash him in the head, that seems to work out. Keep together, stay sharp and follow me. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said, We've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. permits to start a business or to build a place for one on land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent, although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number and you've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? Oh, sons of the Republic, arise. Take a stand. Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land. Preserve our great Republic and each God-given right. And pray to God to keep the torture freedom burning bright. As I awoke he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trample each god given right, we only watch and tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Is this still the land of the f***?
