And a lot of people that are out there looking for gas masks, remember that the masks will be in sizes. The European sizes start from zero, increase very, very small, all the way up to five. So when you get the gas mask, maybe you have to fit it to the person. Even if you get a U.S. mask, there are extra smalls, smalls, mediums, larges, extra larges. Mostly what you see are mediums. There are on occasion some larges available. And in many cases, the DOD, Don't Read a Destruction, disposes of the extra smalls. And those end up going out on the streets somewhere. So you find a lot of the extra smalls available for children, which is actually a good choice. Rather than worry about children's masks, you can go extra small adult. That's the first direction you should go anyway, because the person that's there growing, they'll be able to mask, will adapt to them, and work longer. And you are going to need additional masks if you have children or young adults or children that are older because they're going to get bigger. So you want a 25% overage. $7.20 a piece for the mask and less than $3 for the filters. You can't go wrong. Now the mask comes with filters, comes in the bag, comes with all the other goodies. Everything is there. So again, you have everything you need there with the package. The idea is to have Something on the shelf that's going to give you basic NBC protection. That's your solution. Most of the weekend they're doing some major construction and additions and because of that their logic was so we don't have to dance around people because they're bringing in the heavy machinery It's going to take about two days that probably means the weekend will be consumed by the engineers the combat engineers are saying that that's where it's going to be so camp emmerich is the Target will be two weeks out. Mid-Michigan meeting is going on. Over on the lakeside, there's another one taking place. Mid-Michigan is actually going to be pretty important. It's going to be transferring a lot of the flags with new commanders. There's going to be a conference with regard to a state command meeting again coming up here very shortly. We'll know more about that. I'll give you information on that next Monday or Tuesday after we get the database back from it. Wow, these people must really be in a backgammon. There's probably 500 backgammon game game sets waiting to be purchased different types in many different brands breeds and models Playing cards. Very importantly, have a deck of playing cards or keep them busy kit. In fact, ideally five or ten of them. Not for gambling, but just to keep people busy and to keep their minds functional. Disposable cameras, disposable lighters, disposable razors, disposable government. Oh, whoa, wait a minute. They didn't have disposable government there. We wish they would. Okay, but anyway, paper goods. Sorry about that. Reading glasses. Reading glasses. Yep, pre-cut reading glasses. And that's another thing that wouldn't hurt to have. And I should make this a sub note. If you see any glasses, somebody's getting rid of them. I don't care if they're sunglasses, I don't care what kind of glasses they are, grab them. If you see them and they're in the toss-out bin or if they're in a freebie pile, grab them. Put them into a repair box, leave them. Try to grab the glass cases. Why have them scratched up? What I mean was glass cases are all over the place. There's always a proliferation of those. Guys, if you have a skilled tradesman and he got out with his bare butt and nothing else and he needs optics to function, wouldn't it be nice to have what he might need or close to it in a box so that he can do more work for you so he's not looking at a fuzzy chocolate bar but instead he can actually see the surface of what he's working on. Doesn't look like a piece of chalk. Oh, that's a piece of steel. Oh, yeah, there we go It doesn't have three different fuzzy outlining images. That would be nice So reading glasses are not a bad idea. There's some really cheap cheap I you know solutions out there We can get whole packs for you know, in fact some for a little while there They had a whole pack for a dollar there were five for a dollar eight over there in communist China to have a couple sets of those on the shelf? No, they're not the best. But if it's a choice between that and not being able to read or see it all without having to hold something so far away, you can barely read it and you're straining your eyes even more. Duh! That would be a good thing to have in the kit, but also sunglasses. Why? Because there's parts on the glasses you might be able to use to repair other glasses. Prior proper planning prevents piss-poor performance. Utility gloves, black shoelaces, black shoelaces, high specific color black shoelaces, and umbrellas. There's a whole lot more that I'm sure they have and you just got to go through it but the site is BatteriesAndButter.com The big thing is a lot of the regular alkali slash industrial batteries, the Duracells, all the other company names are there. Panasonic, the Energizer, Maxwell, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, more Duracells. Purely a matter of, again, you're going through and seeing if there's something that is useful. The big thing is the cheapest, the playing cards are something that need to be there because you've got to come up with stuff that's lightweight. Creates a diversion slash entertainment and keeps people's minds busy if you remember what you're doing is you're trying to pull the person's mind away from Anxiety or you know dysfunction well hard games force people to actually use their mind Sometimes that can do it sometimes it can't oh well people who will work with everybody Oh well will work with a bunch of them and the ones that it won't go grab a two-by-four and smack them side to head if they don't want to listen It's that simple. You're not going to find a catch-all solution for everything. It's just that simple. But we can find solutions that will make a significant difference. And that's the whole idea is with a box full of things in your toolbox, example is you should have a game box. I watch for any of the car games where somebody has little micro versions of the car games. They're the same game, but they're smaller in scale. Yeah, you gotta have reading glasses for most of those. But, the point is that they're available and you can have a whole box full of these things put together and left at a site. Or you can box them up, put them in a watertight container and have them so that you can issue them out. Somebody can actually manage them. Congratulations, you're the one taking care of the games. Now, always there'll be people who want to keep the game for themselves because I'm playing and we've been playing and I like to play. You gotta get used to having a management system. Why? Because people need to share. It's a team. It's not an III, me, me, me. You're a team. Now, everybody, if you start collecting stuff like this, let me give you an example, a little battleship games. I got one of the blue boards the other day that somebody was throwing out. Couldn't find any of the other pieces. We got lots and lots of pegs. Plus all the little ships. I waited. Sure enough, guess what I got the other day? Sitting on the dash of the truck right now. I got the red board. Two different locations, two different, no, totally different locations, but battleship has been made for so long. I mean, come on guys, it goes back to the 60s that there's lots and lots and lots of parts laying around and if I'm just patient, I can build up a whole, you know, game by just watching for, you know, what it is that I know is part of the game. So you can get spare parts, playing pieces, etc., throw them together. That way you got spares. Monopoly. Everybody recognizes Monopoly. People have different rules for how they play Monopoly. You might get people getting into fights, gotta be careful with that. We're going to establish the rules before we go into a killing spree. Yes, we're gonna play Monopoly. I played Monopoly this way. I didn't learn it that way. I grew up playing it this way. I'm gonna kill you! I'm gonna kill you! Oh, shut up! Seriously, people will get into fights over Monopoly, so let's make sure that we have a rule master that says, okay, let's establish some basics here. Then after that, everybody gets to play Monopoly. But the same is true with a lot of other games that can be kept on the shelf. The same is true for the children. It doesn't take, I mean, think about this, no batteries, there's colors, it's pretty, it has plastic thingies that are kind of neat. In fact, it's like Risk. You got Star Wars Risk. have Lord of the Rings risk, you have traditional risk, you got all kinds of other, you know, there's stuff out there. So watch for it, somebody else is getting rid of it, grab it. What I got the other day, as a matter of fact, the trivia games. Never played any of the trivia games, in fact we've always used to do it on the radio, when we were traveling by CV between the cars. We actually would pay a variation on Trivial Pursuit, you know, slash the board, you know, like the game, the card game, and you know, it's got the box and it has all the questions. and uh... i picked up what i think i've got all four i've got three versions right now one of the children's version the other two of the adult versions extended now i am by those as a little play right now I bought them because it's a way to keep people busy down the road and something you put in a location and somebody who's the morale officer or the morale NCO, their job is to go, hey, anybody ever play this game before? No. I need everybody to pitch in here. Come on, we're going to take a few hours. We're sitting here bumming around, not doing anything. Sorry, no radio, no television. So you're going to have to entertain yourself. Here's how we're going to do it. And again, the idea is to keep the brain juices churning, guys. Many different ways to do it. Your job is to make sure you come up with the tools in the toolbox to be able to get it done. I didn't spend anything on any of this. Purely this is just in the box. In fact, the next step is all that stuff is going into a B unit box. It's going to be listed as a B unit box. And its pure purpose is throw it to the troops. Congratulations, somebody is going to be using this. And if we lose it, you know what? It was free anyway. The time it took, box it up, make sure it was all clean, take it squared away is it, and then after that, hey, if we lose it down on the road after it's been used for a while, no great loss to any of us. So it was going to the landfill anyway. And in many cases, this stuff is virtually brand new, never used. So guys start thinking this way make a box put the stuff together you finds a effect really neat Here's something that you're gonna see one of our videos here pretty soon Have any ever seen clear bicycle cards? I? Wish I could have got grabbed the rest of these but what's really neat about this is it's a space-age card if you if anything you ever seen a sci-fi movie This should be in a sci-fi movie. These are actual official bicycle playing cards Made with clear plastic, for me right, and some really cool, it's got a couple of the pastel colors, it's got a really neat mod, like dark pink, light pink for the clubs, and then the outer perimeter line is orange. Now what's interesting is where the bicycle symbols are, which is the three circles in the middle, On the other side is the face number. In other words, there will be like, in this case, I'm holding up a six of clubs. There's six clubs in here. Now you can't see through the card to the other side. You can't cheat or anything. But what's neat is you can see through most of the card. And it really looks cool. Well, again, they were free. So if you see anybody tossing out decks of cards and or playing card games or whatever in the freebie box at yard sales Or you see them in their cheap cheap cheap. Hey donate a quarter to that yard that church or whatever Get the goodies and put them in a box Okay, same with the games old games are fine Well, it's it's used but it's in good shape and everybody took care of it And it's an old game that not everybody recognizes Oh fantastic Something new and different is it also forces people to learn something new To many young gamers force their brain to learn we need to be learning We don't just need to get a run repeat repeat repeat so you see there are all kinds of cool solutions there and all the will help people from going crazy for coco pops okay maybe not crazy for coco pops just longing for the couple of local pops because they're starving man well instead let's uh... people all busy keep the brains functioning and even busy so works um... California appeals court approved cell phone searches during traffic stops. Here's what would be fun. What would you do? What can you do to make their life miserable on the other side? Don't you think that if they have a cell phone download that it's an electronic computer program? Is there somebody out there who could take older cell phones or cell phones and make them into what we call bait boxes? Wouldn't it be kind of fun? Think about it. Just do what we do with our partitioned hard drives. Yeah. Just chuck them full of nothing but every virus that your computer has ever been contaminated with. And leave it on the dash and tell them you're not going to touch my phone. You're not going to touch my phone. Oh, you're taking my phone. Oh, I'm protesting. Oh, everything went off. or to bed you should not told you not to use my phone i told you dot use that phone well is that your phone i'm not going to tell you i don't know i don't work for a kid from actually this kind of fun to do it that way it's like see because i don't very cell phone but i have so uh... all think about it what did you do somebody who was an innovative person like it said below a cell phone with nastiness with all kinds of every virus you imagine that will fraggus system and no protections. I guarantee the other side won't have to plug it in because they're so urgent. They want to read what's on your phone. Well, the next thing that happens is, oh, your system isn't working. Well, that's not my problem. First of all, I'm going to tell you something. I told you not to touch that phone and it's not mine. I don't use that phone. This is my car. I told you not to do anything with it. I told you not to touch it. I told you it wasn't yours. I told you not to do anything with it. I told you not to turn it on. Didn't you listen to me? What's wrong with you? It's like, well you were the stupid person to plug that into your equipment. That's your problem, not mine. I told you not to do it. Did I not repeat? Did I not protest? Did you not listen? See, that's how people need to think. How do you get rid of this problem? You fry the cockroaches. And we've got to remember what we said on the air over and over again. The lawyers know how to mill money out of people. This is what they do. They'll run this the full length, from the prostitute or from the public, depending on the... the public lawyers and for the government and they're going to stretch out so they don't have to pay because they know that as soon as they lose there's a lawsuit or there's parallel lawsuits already in place this may not just be a lawsuit this is a challenge Okay, but as soon as they lose there's a lawsuit in the smack of between the years That's why they do this because they protracted out so hopefully by the time they're all done the character who is responsible and the shysters who did this or Cause the evil deed they will all have retired and they don't have to worry about it all of you will have to pay for their mistakes and for all their chicanery so Again, a couple of little solutions here. And now, here's Phyllis Schlafly. The Violence Against Women Act, which was passed during the Clinton administration, is in major need of revision. Its billion dollar a year price tag is spent by the radical feminists to pursue their ideology and goals. It's known as feminist pork, so it should be an embarrassment to members of congress who voted for it. For 30 years the feminists have been pretending that their goal is to wipe out all gender differences no matter how reasonable. When it comes to domestic violence, however, feminist dogma preaches that there is an innate gender difference. They say men are naturally batterers and women are naturally victims. Starting with its title, the Violence Against Women Act is just about as sex discriminatory as any legislation could get. It's written to reduce abuse of women and to punish men. The law ignores the mountain of evidence that women initiate physical violence nearly as often as men. This law has more than 60 passages in its lengthy text that exclude men from its benefits. So for starters, the words, and men, should be added to those 60 sections, and the law's title ought to be changed to Partner Violence Reduction Act. This law should be rewritten to deal with the tremendous problem of false accusations so that its priority can be to help real victims. A Centers for Disease Control survey found that half of all partner violence was mutual, and almost 300 scholarly studies report that women are just as physically aggressive as men. Currently used definitions of domestic violence that are unacceptably trivial, including calling your partner and now the word, raising your voice, causing annoyance or emotional distress, or just not doing what your partner wants. The law's revision should use an accurate definition of
