Camp Emmerich will be partially offline this weekend coming up because of a washout and this had nothing to do with the facility. It had to do with the property next to the facility because they had a washout. They're helping to do some construction. They're going to be moving some earth and doing for the neighbor who is friendly and actually originally the property was theirs. They're going to build up all of their road grid so it's just like ours on the facility and that means they're going to have the heavy equipment up there, Don and the crew, not Don B. Another Don and the crew are going to be over there. They got the buckets in place already so guys they're starting today. They're assuming that part of the road grid is going to be offline. So if that is the case, just be ready to be parking in an alternate location and carrying stuff in, or at least parking secondary vehicles away from the training sites. That's just something that's going to happen. Otherwise, everybody is open. Everything is clean and green, and expect to be in the field. Now, on that note, Mark's going to harp on something. Why? These are a beautiful camouflage pattern. They're the DPM, which is a paintbrush. It's kind of like a woodland tiger stripe, but with a neglected pattern to it, it goes up, down, left, and right, guys. So that's really neat. It is a good pattern. These are the big popcorn pockets on the outside. Angled pockets up above, like the Vietnam era. So when you're laying down, you got your web gear over there. You can just slide your hand into those pockets. In addition though, there are two zipper vertical pockets. Like you see on the French gear years ago, well, the same thing on these Type M95 Series Field Jackets. These are used British Army, M95s. I'll read off what the main features of these are. Tough cotton material construction, probably 50-50 cotton polyester blend. Zipper front with Velcro brand storm flaps. Two vertical zipper closure chest pockets. Two button flap closure angled chest pockets. Two base button flap closure cargo pockets. Internal waste cinch cord. That's really critical as far as I'm concerned. That's to help keep the weather out guys. Draw string cinch at the base. Rib, knit, collar and cuffs. This is a really nice coat and we're in temperate weather. No, it's not warm right now. Well, it's warm right now so you're going, what do we need winter year for? This is an all year round light coat and all year round combat blouse, guys. And again, in sizes. Most important is that it comes in small, medium, large and extra large. Now what Frank said, they're generously cut, which is always typically the case with field jackets anyway. Now, for you DPM camo lovers, there's another thing. Second tier down, all the way to the right. Five pack of British Chemical DPM camouflage suits. Now, these are tops and bottoms and they come in the size, let me make sure I get that right for you there, small and medium. But remember, the chem suits are cut large. I can wear a medium comfortably as an over jacket, I actually do, by the Mark 3's. This is the Mark 4 which has the jacket front. This is more DPM camo. If you start shopping around the system, we can strip out the DPM camo and have it all for ourselves. Same with the Fluctarn. Good patterns for your areas of operation. Depending upon where you are, you need them. Now last, I'm going to harp on this again. Everybody get carabiners, but get good ones. USGI carabiner five pack. These are steel. These are from the Vietnam era. They are very well made. I carry two of these on each rig. I have them on every rig I've built. I have probably close to 120 of these. I did release a case of these to one of the new HK units. Actually, I also sent a case up north with the Wolverines and I know they know what I'm talking about. Everybody got one. They didn't get two, they got one. They had about a company strength formation, about 128 people. There's I think 135 or there are 140 to a case. I got to double check. We have a couple cases left. We're not giving them out anymore. They're for us. But one of the HK units got a case. I know we also sold one case at the cost, the original cost got them for us so the guys have those. But main military's got them over the counter, they're in the Liberty Tree radio section, go 1, 2, 3, third tier down, right between the M10 gas mass and the finished gas mass you'll find the USGI carabiners. That is the best carabiners, as far as I'm concerned, it's simple, easy to use, US Steel, US Made. They're all dated by the way too. Pay attention, a good American equipment is dated. So you'll be able to ID it real quick and that's back in the day when we made steel. Now we don't make jack or squat so you know it's all China junk. Anyway, uh, and what about aluminum, Mark? Yeah, okay. You ever saw a cliffhanger? I am not carrying a teddy bear in my backpack. Do you understand that, people? If you don't know what I mean by that, watch the beginning of the movie, Cliffhanger. I am not wearing a teddy bear in my backpack. That means I go with steel carabiners, but they're heavier. Yes, they are. They're heavier. Mark's still here. I had a partner when I did it. A couple times I've repelled. I've fallen about a good 70 feet, guys. And that was because of help. Not because of Mark, but because of help. You do that once and again, you thank the equipment for working at least somewhat the way it was supposed to, considering the disaster that developed. But fine steel carabiners are the reason. The aluminum ones? Yeah, yeah, they're a little different. The metallurgy is a little different. Yeah, cliffhanger. Remember the candy cane versions. I should say the candy handy versions. Let's not see that happen. Steel. American steel for the carabiners. And again, basically the simplest model available. Go that way and you won't have a problem. We worry about failing. Now, I'll tell you what. You get stupid and you do a 100 foot straight repel. Don't be surprised if you burn right through your nylon harness or burn right through your Swiss seat. Why? When you apply that much friction to any piece of metal, it builds up calories and it gets hot. And again, Theodore Podewell III, ah yes, my, my, one of my, uh, repelling partners. Well, he did a quick jump like that once, was smiling every step of the way, hit the ground, and the carabiner had eaten through all but the last three little hair strands of his Swiss seat. When he turned around and tried to slide the rope out of the carabiner, he didn't have to. The whole rig fell on the ground. Why? Hmm, not paying attention. Not following. instructions. Anyway, again USGI carabiners, I should have mentioned this now, yeah I will. Everybody knows Ted, or at least a lot of people do that I know. Just a little reminder there, USGI carabiners five pack for $15. You can't beat the price. You won't find American metal like that anymore guys. Little trick, get some Gibbs. and do a quick wipe down on this first of all clean it up with whatever you want to clean the metal up with to be safe then put gibs all over it put gibs inside all the hinge points and that way when it's sitting on your gear you're not going to have any moisture building up no matter what it is I don't care if it's aluminum or steel carabiners either way now you don't soak it in it just make sure you got a coating on it to seal up that metal so it doesn't oxidize anyway We are working on, before I forget, also I had mentioned this earlier and I got to get back with, I want to say thanks to the guys, a couple other people have been doing some scrounging for me. We tracked down a lot of the German gear around the country from all little nooks and crannies. We're going to send that report to Frank at Maine Military and Maine Military is going to have all that stuff piled up in one place. For a lot of you who like the German web gear and have already put it together, this is your chance or gonna be your chance to get hold of a lot of other good stuff. Otherwise Frank already has a 10-pack of the OD Canteen rectangular covers for $8. You can't beat the price with those pouches. They're great for doing blowout bag kits or doing multi-medic kits. They're gonna do a medic rig. The German stuff is really great because it's got a wide pistol belt. It's unique for the German gear but with the for instance the Fleckdar 12-pack of the Fluctarn canteen pouches for $12. That's $12 for $12. You can't beat the price of a dollar a piece. What we use those for is each of the individual pouches carries a complete blowout kit for a casualty. So your medics can carry three and three, three on each side. Plus remember, here's the other thing, you've got stations on the suspenders for two more pockets if you want, or one on one side if you want to keep some space free. But if you're trying to carry a whole bunch of medical gear, that's a great way to have it all packed up and lock, cock, lock, ready, rock and roll guys. Again, the German gear is a little lighter. It's got a little more suspension width and height so that it's a little more comfortable for the carrier. The medical gear is not that heavy. Think about it, most of it is fluffy stuff. Bandages, compression rigs, etc. So the big thing is having the volume, the ability to hold the volume, the space that you need for the blowout kits for the casualty repair. That's what these are really great for. So again, just a solution for our medics listening out there. Might want to take a look at that and experiment a little bit. We will have the suspension gear because Frank is out of Maine military. The German gear will have more of that in as soon as we can. I should have that report done. This is the problem with institutions and organizations when they have some kind of officialdom title. It's kind of like what happened. Let me point something out. I had this conversation privately with one of our friends out of Texas here. But I'll point this out. This whole thing of Sargent Dyer is very reminiscent of the same problem we saw with the Minuteman Project. What happened to it? The Minuteman 1 project went exceptionally well. Minuteman 2 went even better. Minuteman 3 never took place because all of a sudden somebody got bought and paid for or decided to sit on their hands. And they failed. They failed because people looked for an institution to do the job. Now Oath Keepers is the same situation. Here's an opportunity to shine, to actually kick butt, take names, do the right thing. So the demikins and republicats are both perceived the same way. If they are to win trust and votes, the demikins must show they are as determined as the Tea Party movement to change the rules of the game. This distrust of government and politicians is unfolding as a full-blown crisis of legitimacy. Well, they're all illegitimate. We know that. So, you know, nothing they're gonna do is fix it. They're like thinking that this is like the Israelis boarding the Liberty and wanting to take the bridge so that they can command it until it sinks. They're not gonna fix the ship. They're not gonna do anything about it. They just want to command it until the ship sinks so they can brag that they were empowered till the last minute. Every day I do water storage. I just shipped 14 gallons to another site and made sure it was dropped off all of its potable water, all of its clean excellent containers. None of the containers cost me anything. I'm going to do another site tomorrow. I'm going to do another site the next day. Sometimes 10 gallons, sometimes a few, mostly about 14 to 20 to 30 gallons. Just found another source for 40 gallon plastic barrels by the way in the process of traveling. So we're probably going to be picking up more of those, filling them up, and they're going to be another water storage site. Why? Water is life. As long as I can keep doing it, keep getting it out of the well, or get it from other sources, and make sure that it's clean and stays clean, we're going to continue to put more and more away. Get them through the washer if you got a dishwasher run them through the dishwasher Then when you're done hand wash them again Then when you're done fill them up with water if you got metal screw caps on them fantastic You know what you do get yourself some paraffin Warm up the paraffin on the stove turn the bottle in dip the end of the bottle with the metal with the metal screw lid in the paraffin to make sure it's completely coated let it dry There's your water storage. Somebody else washed the bottles and took them off down there to the recycle point. You pick them up, you use those, and pick a certain model, a certain size, a certain type. Make them all consistent so they're easy to store. Also, you can use color-coding. There's green, there's brown, there's blue, there's even red ones showing up now. Wow! You got all kinds of colors.
