Running stuff around, getting things squared away. Just as you were saying, getting ready for that snow to fly. I was out sealing up the greenhouse today, making sure that was all squared away. Making sure that, you know, preparing my garden. Now that my leaves are falling in mass for the weekend, we've lost probably a good 70% of the leaves off that big, big old maple tree in the front yard. It's on knee deep in leaves. But the good thing with that is it makes great compost for the garden. We take big tarps, load it up with leaves, take it back to the garden, walk it back to the garden, just put it on there and the best way to get that cooked down over the winter is just cover it if you've got some plastic, large black plastic. You can get Some good size sheets 20 by 30 foot pieces now 3 mil even will do Just cover it cover it with that pen it down with the stakes and by spring that'll be beautiful Black dirt to work into your garden full of lots of wonderful nutrients So yeah, that's what we've been That's what I've been prepping my garden for. And for me to go back and call, make 95 calls to find who that one caller is, that is, if it didn't come up out of the area, our caller unknown, um, I'm SOL. I can't help you. I gotta have a name so I can look it up, um, you know, in the files. to know who it was in April that made that request for night vision. I could go through and then try to find all the names of the people that made the request for night vision back in April. I guess that would be another way to do it, providing it got here. You're not going to get a blue ray high definition off of a two tape video cassette and take that to to DVD. It's just not going to happen. Especially one that is quite old really. When things don't get where they need to be, when they're supposed to be there, whether it be our friendly postal service, who loses how many trainloads of Christmas cards every year. Oh my. Won't go there. Try to keep the cloth down as much as you can. When it gets to be this much of a problem, I don't have a problem with whoever is going out there. It's putting a little extra in there to make sure that it gets to where it needs to be. If I've got to do that, then I've got to do that. Whatever. But we will take care of that right away. There's a couple things actually, like I mentioned, that need to have the one gentleman stuff to go out right away. But we've been using a pretty much top of the line means of getting these things turned around, getting the copies done, and making sure that they're squared away. And I don't know why that's not working as machines, but we'll replace it. Not a problem. I will tell you that some of the stuff that is older that has been done, don't expect high def DVD quality because it ain't going to happen simply because it was done on video recorders from many, many years ago. Basically it was put onto DVD just to preserve them. If you get American Peril 1, 2 and 3, trust me, it's going to be a little grainy. 92 was the first one and once they are 10 years old they start to degrade. So as soon as it was available on the regular market to go from VCR to DVD those recorders. Trust me that's what I did because I knew we were losing quality then. and goodness Ethan went out and bought a computer and upgraded what he could with it. Took it and put it into his computer bit by bit. You can only do it by 10 minutes at a time and long process. But to upgrade that as much, it brings back the quality because it was really getting very grainy and kind of trying to go to snow. on that. You've seen what he has to work with, Don. It's not a $3,000 and $4,000 computer system. However, with what we have to work with, it's pricey from our perspective, but we do everything on a shoestring. But it's not like going to ABC Studios and using some of the equipment that they have. That will bring pretty much anything up. That's kind of where we're going here. Oh boy. Well, to go there. Why am I going to spend $3,000 on one program? a piece of software and an upgrade to a machine that's a $10,000 machine. I'm not going to do that. That's insane. Oh, the mailing stuff? Yeah, that'll be done. That'll be done tomorrow. Actually, well, I can't get it in the mail tonight because the post office is good. But first thing in the morning, when I get out of here, this stuff will be out, guaranteed. That's a done deal. I just got to dig up the address and make sure we get it back out so that that is done. Anyway, I've spent enough time on that. Goodness. Two other talk about getting things together and back. Oh my, I have some air. Prepping for winter. I mean, we have had incredible weather here in October in Michigan. This is a very long run for an Indian summer because that's what it was like today. Again, it's a really nice summer day. Last night was actually warm enough, it wasn't a problem. But it's certainly given us a lot of time to get stuff done outside. Just two weeks off I've had for vacation time. I was kind of dreading. I was like, October vacation? I wanted to ring my boss's neck. You've got to be kidding me. You're going to make me wait until then. But it's been beautiful weather. I think this two weeks, I think there's been one day of rain. And it's been gorgeous weather. If not in the 70s, well today, they had to hit the upper 80s easily. Just a beautiful day. Lots, plenty of things sent outside. Like I said in the garden, getting things, the old plants pulled up that are not producing anymore, getting that squared away, getting the leaves on the garden, preparing to cover that, cover that all up with the black plastic and get everything squared away there in preparation for next spring. And that's something that can be done. The other thing that we've, like I said, we've still got beans coming off. Those are covered with like a greenhouse, little greenhouse thing that we do with the PVC pipes and plastics just plain old. This clean to go over top keeps the frost off and the heat in. of course today, I had to open the ends up so that I would not cook the plants because it was getting pretty warm. Getting everything squared away out there, but that's kind of the way of it. You know, we talked before, Don, about making an extra layer with this clean or a clear plastic. to go over the inside and the outside, creating extra layers of insulation around your windows, because that's where you're going to lose a good portion of your heat. Oh, absolutely. You want to check all your window glazing before it gets too cold to glaze them again. As a matter of fact, that's something I've got to do. Put on my to-do list for this week is check my window glazing. I know in Ethan's room I definitely have to do some there. on his window, but get the glazing done so that you have no gaps and that you seal things up tight. And then go over it with your Biscayne to create those layers of insulation. That little air pocket in there is the insulating layer. So, do that. Make sure you cut that. Cut any place where you've got air that's coming in and out is going to be a problem for you. That's going to be your heat loss point and you need to square that away. As we know, Idaho has already seen snow up in the higher elevations. Same with Colorado, Montana, and some points of Wyoming. It's going to move this way folks. It's just a matter of time. We're already seeing hurricanes develop in the Gulf. Seeing that today. It was a tropical storm and it upgraded. It got stronger and it's gone to hurricane force and it's supposed to hit the Yucatan Peninsula today or tomorrow. So, yeah, something to be aware of. So that's your heads up. It's coming. Because when those hurricanes start in the Gulf, then you're getting into that October-November weather. And that'll go on through for a little bit longer here. But that's something. This is one of the first hurricanes of the season. To my understanding down there, that's actually done anything. They had some a little earlier in the year, but didn't really pan out to do a whole lot there. But right now, this isn't going to hit the US, but it's definitely going to hit the coastline there in Mexico in the Yucatan Peninsula where they have a lot of the resort areas. There was a British Honduras where they had some swells and flooding they had to be dealt with. I do have a question in the chat room asking if there is anything new regarding Qatari. We understand that Dave Stone is still in Detroit. He has not been moved. He is in solitary confinement. That comes through the lawyer's office. Just checking. Because they went to do this funny money that's being made in China that has a watermark in it. to help reduce the counterfeit. Which is what I thought that little funny metal strip was in it for. But you can actually go in and pull that paper. I know people that go in and pull that metal strip out and braid them together to make rings. And the money that will strip those say one or five or ten dollars. and it that runs through one end of the bill. They will actually go in with a set of tweezers and pull that out. It can be pulled out of the paper. And I know people that have taken those and braided them to make a ring. They've done it. And it's, yeah, it makes a ring. It's very interesting. But now what do you do with that bill? The rest of it's still there. It still has the fibers in it. It still has, you know, all the markings. It's still legal tender. It still has the watermark in it. It just doesn't have the strip in there. And the bank takes it back and then destroys it because it has been altered. Not that it's bad, but it makes it more difficult. It's been part of the mutilated bill that gets sent back to be destroyed and re-made. replaced with more money that we have to pay more interest on because, gee, the Federal Reserve is printing our money. So, that nonsense. I got a question. Sure. How do you think the country is going to react when they found out the government stole all the pension funds and looted the Social Security? They stole all the whose pension funds? I know they already did that with Chrysler and GM. Now I'm talking like, no, all the private pension funds, because the government now ordering without law that with all these managers of pension funds got to invest them in these zombie banks. I love that. And I don't really think people are going to go for that. They're going to have a revolution on their hands. Well, I know, honestly, I mean, there are people, there are the big three up here in Michigan is what cap Detroit Flint, much of and all the smaller businesses that supplied the big three kept them going. And that doesn't just affect Michigan but many other companies around the nation that supplied the big three. And when they came in and took over General Motors, they went to They went to everyone and said, I'm sorry, but you are no longer, as of this date, you no longer have the guaranteed health care program you had before. You're going to lose half of it in six months and then at the one year point, you have no health care. And this was part of their pension plan through General Motors. I know because both my parents worked for General Motors. My mom for ACDelco for many, many years and my dad through Buick and they both lost it. So all they have is what they invested and they didn't, they had, they were smart and diversified but if they had to rely on their retirement fund from General Motors, they couldn't do it. They couldn't do it because that was taken away. Anybody that had any stocks and bonds that they had purchased that were GM stocks, all of that was taken. That was pretty much taken at gunpoint by the government. The government came in and said, nope, we're not going to do that. You don't have that anymore. They went and said, we are taking all the stocks and bonds. You either sell to us at, you know, people that had $50,000 and $60,000 tied up into GM stocks were told, they were going to sell their stocks and bonds for $2,000 or get nothing. Six months later the US government turns around and offers those same stocks and bonds over three billion dollars worth on the market. Where did they get them from? The retirement funds and investments of the GM workers. Do you think there are a few hundred thousand or maybe even knowing how many retirees they have out there that were raked over the coals this way. I think there's a few of them out there that might be a little ticked off, especially those that took an early retirement and jumped through all the hoops or the special GM socks and all that fun stuff. Oh my. These are people that are old enough to be, you know, World War II veterans, Korean War veterans, Vietnam veterans, I think maybe a few of them might be having some thoughts. Just maybe. You know the thing is I did with my 401k, I used to borrow against it, I would buy lots of silver coins and like Kenton Mount gold pieces. I ain't got full ounces, but that's all I have. I would pay off, borrow against it, buy more silver and gold with it. Then when I came to Texas, I did what they call a disbursement, I just bought the rest of it in coins. But I only bought like 10 ounce coins and all that stuff. My money is in my hands, it's not in the Robert Barron chance. Yeah, 401Ks, I would never go that route again. They're trying to get me to buy into a 401K now and it's like, no I did that once. And all that mess after 9-11 and the Enron, it's gone. So there's nothing there. And not going to go there again. Well you know the thing is, everybody sit there and go, oh these people, these rich people and all that stuff, they get away with everything. I was like, you know sooner or later I said, what they do is going to stop. It all comes, it's going to come to an end. I said, the Rock Chiles, the Rockefellers, dynasties have fallen over the centuries. I mean, these people ain't no better. And believe me, I think God's getting ready to slap him down. That's about it. Because, you know, it's just like I put on my blog and I post on Facebook. Hearing that the government's going to monitor Facebook and Twitter, it ain't going to stop me. But, you know, I just said we need to do prayer and fasting from now until election. That the election is not canceled and not stolen. I mean, we need to pray and fast. Right. Now, it would be more pick a day. Take a day and you know that's you know we really but the die is pretty much being cast to be the people to vote for are are on the ballot so to look now for someone new someone with you know real vision and and not only for this country but you know spiritually a little late for that to be perfectly honest. unless you're going to change somebody's heart and mind and what they think they're going to do. So be aware of that. And to pray for that for a coming election, it's late in the game to do that because you need to actually have someone ready to up and run with that a full year in advance of elections. because that's when you got to announce and run and get all the petitions and everything squared away. This late in the game, it's not going to happen. You know, the thing is, I have really feeling it's going to be a political holocaust for the Democrats. Oh, it is. It's not only that, but the political establishment in general, because I really think it's not going to affect a national election, but a lot of local elections and a lot of state elections are going to feel that political holocaust. Where I live in Florida. I think across the board. Yeah, I lived in Florida. All the people that were sat on the county commission for 20-25 years, all of a sudden they just found out that these people over the years had set themselves up very lucratively. Oh yeah. And you know they're sitting there going and they're sick and tired of the sheriff's department writing tickets to enhance revenue but yet the local politicians got all this Perks is called these costly perks.
