refused to join a union. In addition to the NEA's direct attempts to influence elections and policy through lobbying and election campaigns, the NEA gave millions more to other leftist organizations that helped to advance the NEA's education and social agenda. For example, the NEA gave $250,000 to the Arizona State University to produce numerous studies criticizing policies that the NEA opposes, such as vouchers and charter schools. The NEA also creates front groups to give the impression of public support of NEA policies. A group called Communities for Quality Education was formed to have the appearance of an independent organization, but actually its board consisted of Teachers Union officials and it got its $9 million budget from NEA affiliates. Next week I'm going to tell you what policies the NEA is spending its money to achieve. This has been the Phyllis Schlafly Report from Eagle Forum. The National Education Association is the largest labor union in the country. So how are they using that power? Regretfully, their goals have little to do with better educating our children. Do you have an opinion on the NEA? Read, follow, and add to the blog at eagleforum.org. That's eagleforum.org. Thanks for listening and join us next time for the Phyllis Schlafly Report. As the National Rifle Association says, it's not guns that kill people, it's maneuvers. Let's get ready to rumble! Y'all ready for this? You shot an unarmed man. You should've armed himself. We told you before. The intelligence report markings on every morning at 6am Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. Y'all ready for this? I want the people to know. that they still have two out of three branches of the government working for them and that ain't bad. I'm not yet a good governor, you just file myself. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat and speaking low to me, he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land is free. Brave. The freedoms we secured for you. We hire and flavored endlessly while your parents were assumes gone. Your courage lost. You're no more than a slave. In home, brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press. And you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken a Satan number. You traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm, so they could burn down churches and seemingly farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children will be. Your leaders send artillery. and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you will fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear, be a slave, to the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land? Preserve our great Republican each God given right. Pray to God, keep the torture free. As I awoke he vanished in the mist for once he came. His words were true, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each God given right, we only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside in a dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he'd fought to keep, what would be your answer? He called out from the grave. D'oh befant. Traveling halfway around the world, but that so much as half a clue of where you're going and what you're gonna do when you get there. Situation normal, sir? Eh, eh. Right, I'll be leaving this mission, Johnson, so I'll be telling you what to do. You sir? That's right, Johnson, and I say first things first. First is food. Always remember that, Johnson. Food is a big deal. Sir, my brother-in-law can get us a really good deal on some surplus MREs. Johnson, if you've got half a brain and that empty head of yours, you'll call the free dry guy like I did. That food is better for you, rehydrates faster, and it's good, Johnson. And it keeps for up to 30 years. Would we be gone that long, sir? I hope not. Now get your supplies organized and meet me down to the pier at dawn on Sunday for a failed sunrider. Yes, sir. This adventure is brought to you by the freeze-dry guy all 866 404 3663 or visit freeze-dry guy.com. Hi. Good morning. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Joe McNeil here at the studio I Guess mark is still on the road here didn't make it in here this morning. So I'll fill in for the next two few minutes a little more than two actually and Maybe Donald call in here at the top of the hour Good morning. Wasn't quite ready to do any radio here this morning. First thing I never am, but nonetheless. I don't know how much Mark got to mention the weekend yesterday. Everything worked out good. Everything is great. And the reason I didn't get to hear what Mark mentioned yesterday, because I was completely zonked out, man. I was worn out from the day before. So I slept in a little bit late yesterday, but We're here today and see if we can make it through some of this mess. Let's see, well, Weapons Wednesday I guess it is for Mark and Don here. I have but one thing to say when it comes to Weapons Wednesday. Defend yourself. Absolutely defend yourself. More importantly, know when to defend yourself or your life is being threatened. I talked a little bit about that in my program last night. that people might need to start getting a touch of realization, if you will, of what's going on in this country. You know, I also mentioned last night in my program, I'll just go ahead and share some of what I did in my program here last night, folks, because it's something I'm sure not all of you heard. But, you know, years ago, four or five years ago, those of us who were warning people, we gave you the warning. He gave me the warning that you should take a second mortgage out on your home, dump everything you could, blah, blah, blah, because of what was coming. There was a warning. And we gave those warnings, I gave it quite often actually, but people unfortunately didn't listen. And for those who did listen, they're in better shape today because basically you could say they got a head start. on what they needed to do. But people today, because he didn't heed the warning, he didn't listen to the warning, pretty much got stuck with a millstone hanging around their neck. And for those who were concerned about, oh, I have all those money invested, you know, I put $40,000 down in this house, you know, I'm not just walking away. Well, at least four or five years ago, you could have come out of it with something. But today they're settling for nothing Because things have you know gone that far they've twisted that far and so I think it's time to start listening to some Warnings, I don't know if you guys caught the film clip there. It's on YouTube The gentleman that was whittling a piece of wood that was his crime in life Whittling a piece of wood in Seattle sitting on one of those cement barrier Big old cement wall whittling a piece of wood, minding his own business when I don't know, Officer O'Malley or whatever his name was, come pulling up, you know, drop your weapon, drop your weapon or drop the knife. I understand this man wasn't out bothering anybody, he wasn't threatening anybody, he wasn't like screaming anything crazy or you know, any weird stuff like that, just merely sitting there. whittling a piece of wood. And I guess that's a threat to society somehow. It warned six shots point blank to the chest for not doing what the officer told him to do. Six shots to the chest point blank for not doing what the officer told him to do. All he was doing was sitting there whittling a piece of wood, minding his own business. Now they had pictures of what he was whittling on. They think it was like a doll head or whatever he was making. Whittling a piece of wood. Of course they're going to tell you that the gentleman didn't obey and he started moving towards the officer in a very aggressive way. Well that shouldn't be too hard to prove I wouldn't think. Being that the officer pulled up in his car I'm sure they have it all on camera. And they won't mind showing it to us. And then the next question you might ask, well, why didn't he just use his taser? Why pull out a gun and shoot a man six times in the chest? We have some scary things going on in this country, folks. When you have officers driving by, finding it, I think their words were peculiar. It's about a peculiar, this man sitting and just whittling on a piece of wood. And they did happen to mention it was a second shooting. in Seattle within the past couple weeks. So when you listen to Weapons Wednesday here on Mark and Don show, you might get a little more serious about and think about it. You know, I try to imagine myself sitting there, you know, just somewhere, just sitting there whittling on a piece of wood. What my mind frame would be, you know, okay, I'm not bothering anybody. And all of a sudden because the cop pulls up, I go into what, some kind of an outrage charge the cop with what my 2 foot samurai whittling knife. I mean come on man how big a knife you think he was using him but you were just sitting there whittling on a little piece of wood. I'm sure the officer felt threatened but hey I say they're scared of their own shadows these days. It's getting pretty pathetic out there. Hey if anybody wants to call in and help me out 888-747-1968 the lines are open here this morning. I don't know what's your thoughts man? seven-year-old kids getting blown away, laying on their sofa in their own living room, and it's okay. Blowing away, someone sitting there whittling on a piece of wood, it's okay. He's a good officer. How about, would you settle for a, sorry, we're so sorry this time. Our prayers go out to that family. How many times have we listened to this? the officers' prayers go out to their family. You know, the lip service is pretty much pathetic. It is literally pathetic that people should accept not even a heartfelt apology for a dead member of their family, right? It's pathetic the things we've grown to accept. Apology. Maybe some of you might remember the young man 16 year old boy down in Arizona this man a couple years ago his grandmother and grandfather Thought the 16 year old boy was on drugs. He was threatening to kill himself Not threatening to kill grandma and grandpa or anybody else he was threatening to kill himself. He had a kitchen knife Standing in a carport outside of grandma and grandpa's house standing there upset was gonna kill himself and officers from some 15, 20 feet away just blew him away because they felt threatened. You know, we've seen that we have a lot of officers riding around looking for excuses to use their gun. And of course, if it wasn't appropriate, then I don't know. What about the young man? What was it down here in Florida? His crime was riding his bicycle past a construction site. and the officer kept trying to get him to pull over and ultimately before he was over with he ran over the young man on the bicycle dragged him far enough underneath his car that it just about ripped the torso in half ripped the body in half and then the officer got out of his car crawled up underneath the car and magically before it was all over that young man ended up with a a gun in his pocket but fortunately Fortunately, there were witnesses. I don't know folks, do you feel safe? I think the alarms should be going off. I think the bells should be going off everywhere. These are not isolated incidents. It's matter of fact, you know, you can go to YouTube, just punch in the word cop and go from one film to the next. I would go on to say that we have more film footage of some really raw deals with police departments all across the country. than we do of Hell's Angels attacking anybody. What would you be more worried about today? Be more worried about going out and getting attacked by some amount of drug-dubbed gang members, something or another? Or would you be more concerned about the law? I would be more concerned about the law these days. I think we have a problem growing in this country that is literally out of control. And if we don't do anything to get it under control, I'm out of fear more will suffer. More will be... subject to What was it last week last week the older gentleman his crime was going home from some meeting and fell down some steps there at his house and his wife was very concerned and Called the paramedics and the paramedics came out and investigated and decided that the gentleman was okay Just pretty much just skinned up his knees and stuff and as the paramedics were leaving and then of course two police officers show up and before it's all over with They're inside that gentleman's home, tasing the hell out of him, and he ends up in jail. What is wrong with the picture? It's not a matter of if anymore, folks. It's a matter of when. A matter of when. This is going to happen to you. And like the people who had their warnings four or five years ago, hey, I hope everybody's heating this morning. I hope everybody is listening this time. There's always a price to pay for not heeding a warning. And it's not me. Don't. I'm not the one warning you. Just look around. Look around at all the things that are going on. Things that are happening to your friends. The story that your friends are telling you. The hell with what the news has to say. Just see what's going on in your local area and ask yourself, is it time to defend yourself? Got just a couple of minutes here to the top of the hour. I hope you take that into consideration. I'm going to be talking more about that tonight in my program. We live in some scary times, my friend. And I'm not as polite, I suppose, as Mark. Mark has a way with words. I just throw it out there. It is what it is. And as long as you are aware and understand all the things that are going on in this country, hey, only you can solve the problems, right? Not everybody can be there for you every day, all the time, watching out for you so you have to take care of these things yourself. Whatever that would amount to. Hell of a thing to be talking about at 6 o'clock in the morning, eh? Anyway, we are getting up here towards the top here another minute or two. And, uh, gee, I don't know. I hope Mark shows up, I hope Mark shows up, but I think Donnie should be here as well. Okay. So we hope you enjoyed the music there this morning. I was kind of happy about that actually. The worst thing on the planet for radio is dead air. Okay? And so our backup system which has music right now kicked in and we were good to go. So you weren't sitting there listening to Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence. We actually had some music there for you. Alright, stay tuned. We're going to slip out of here and I don't see where is Mark's stuff. I don't use the animal Mark's show. Here we go. All right, we'll get some How about a little humor here this morning?
