Mark Koernke discussed Michigan's proposed constitutional convention (con-con), warning that it could be used to circumvent existing constitutional protections and address state financial problems through backdoor means. He fielded a caller from Michigan who raised concerns about the convention being pushed by Governor Granholm and noted previous failed attempts in the 1980s. The show then pivoted to an extended discussion about police conduct and discipline, with Mark sharing anecdotes about his father's experience as a county deputy and contrasting old-school common-sense policing with modern aggressive tactics. He criticized young, inexperienced officers lacking life experience, the influence of drug use on police behavior, and the hiring of outside officers unfamiliar with local communities. Callers contributed perspectives on police discipline, martial arts training, and the difference between measured response and excessive force.
The Intelligence Report. Mark and Don every morning at 6am Pacific Time, Monday through Friday. As the National Rifle Association said, it's not guns that kill people, it's maneuvers. You can shot an unarmed man. You should always shot him. I want the people to know that they still have two out of three branches of the government working for them, and that ain't bad. Get the guns. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, speaking low to me, and said, fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land secured for you, hoped you'd always keep. Tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. or mitts to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent, although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate and your Christian values can't use an regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken us. You've given government control for those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit your leaders and artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children fear? Both sons of the Republic arise. You know I can jump up and down and I can hold hand and wave them too but you guys we run back to the most base we can get away with. We you know get it when it wants to stop. It's not gonna recall or jump in there. This is Dave from Michigan. Can you hear me? Go ahead, Dave. We got you. I'm in the next campaign. Hi, this is your conversation. You let me know that they're planning on putting a con con on the ballot. Give everybody information for our friend in Michigan. And the other thing is, this is not just happening. In fact, they tried this in the 80s. We stomped them in 87, 88 when they tried this. Well, we've got this lame duck governor in Michigan. We've got the Canadian California Caterer, Granholm. He's obviously got some roost where Vulture can land. idea that the to the again try to get through on the poor information that i was able to find uh... information on the uh... county and then uh... i think it's about that with uh... with that one of the three-shirt if you can any information you get go ahead and uh... the big thing here is for all michigan stupefied the pop and the interesting thing about this too is i i know one of the reasons one of the big reasons issue in michigan there can be second amendment issue in michigan intentionally wanting to pretty much the uh... the counterpart elements of the there's nothing to do with all we need to clean chicken constitution now there's no reason there's no significant first of all my biggest problem with this day they don't follow the constitution nine nine point nine percent of the time anyway precisely you know so it's like what the purpose behind this other than creating a metal legal insanity all the trying to do that all the checks and balances they want to get rid of that's really where where there were were going to check some balance they while there's nothing still is not a spirit that's a last thing we financial standpoint or from a legal standpoint. You hit the nail on the head with the first one. That's part of the reason they want to do this is the financial problems. They're trying to wheedle their way out of a whole bunch of stuff that otherwise they can figure they can steal because there's a whole bunch of accounts they wanted to touch on. Just like with Social Security, at the state level there are things they can't do. The state government put out the back door and nobody would be warned until it's too late. It would all be carried away and then people would find out after the fact. The shysters would head out of state and go to Florida or other characters like Blanchard. So it's interesting. Thanks for bringing it up sir. Anything else I've now, I'll let you go. No, that's it. Good luck. Thanks for signing the mark, thank you. Thank you. Appreciate that. After the Constitution was altered with the other amendments, after within some non-to-what-of people don't know about a Constitutional Convention. Constitutional Convention, you know, we tend to work with, well, we don't have the information, we end up like, you know, Norman coordinates. People are going to go there and talk about the, you walk into the Constitutional Convence, why the other side cheers. We have thrown institutional conventions to your attention. You keep them down under the SAGAs because a lot of A couple of different models they brought in. One already takes the regular. Others, like you said, you may have to improve. Let's say modify. Improve. There were 100 magazines that were under for about $6 or $5 a piece. That's a unique situation. I called and it doesn't look like this. They probably got them for a change. If you have a new modify, a magazine. One way or another, stamping is a problem because I don't like to hold on a mag. Put an S to the magazine down towards the bottom of the mag on the sidewalls. Now there's two reasons for this. You can also put a you know for instance in this case let's say I had a Sega. I put an S and I put a dot and a dot right of the S. The reason for that is when I'm handling the mag I can touch the bottom of the magazine there with my thumb. I can actually ID. Maybe I just magged my rifle because now this can be any weapon if you have to alter them because you don't want a panic situation to become a real bad situation if somebody's having to trade out mags and they got the wrong one. See that fingernail polish comes in color nail polish. Might not be safe to put on the fingernails, but I think it'll be okay to put on the magazines. Sound good? Anything else? Go ahead. What's it like down there weather-wise? Hey, it's Michigan! We were just joking about that. Drink a gallon of water, because you're- There's a change or something like that happens, let us know too. Interestingly enough, I'll see California. Well, sure, you're tried maybe. I don't know. I don't think you tried that. You possibly- And what's interesting, worked in five years. And guess what, it is. It's like, you know, the torpedoes. We already got the Ava gonna send four more into the Hulk. Well, thank you, Mark. Thank you, Don. Thank you for that note, too. And again, for our Sega listeners, remember that, guys. You got the Sega 223 or the Sega AK. They're our solution. So don't just panic about the cost of mag. On the other hand, it's a great sniper rifle, guys. Don, we're going to break. All civilian traffic is barred from streets and highways. Stay in your homes. Stay in your homes. The found without specific military orders are subject to summary execution. Stay in your homes. Raise a class 1 emergency. All civilian traffic is barred from streets and highways. The Micro is recording whether you... This la... Don't wash no sins of... No, we've got caller stacking up, Mark. How about that? How about that micro effect? Micro effect? We've been there. Who do we have? Texas? You know the thing is, I was sitting there watching police videos last night. You know the thing is, how some of these police officers, you know, they're acting like really ridiculous. The other thing is, I've talked to an old police officer. You know, personally, he thinks a person should be a cop unless they're like 30, 32 years old, something like that, because you put these young kids in a police uniform, they have no life experience. Well, you know, and tie in with that, here's the thing is, traditionally you used to put somebody, you get a bad person, you get a bad person as a sensei. You had a teacher with an older guy who was a training officer in the field. His job was to put the reins on that person. Now my dad, he was a county deputy for quite a bit, but what was kind of funny is like he would relate many experiences. I mentioned this on the air many times, it's a Wolverine bar, I'm going to give them a free ad, but they're not the bar that's had Stockbridge in the middle of nowhere south of Chelsea, which a bunch of people from Manchester who were mostly Michigan farmers would usually meet in the middle on Friday night and Saturday. Somebody was gonna, that's right, better watch those things. My dad relates us one story. He had this young deputy with him who was a hard charger. We gotta go in and we're gonna do this. He was just excited. He had the power, you know, that kind of thing. And it's always the same routine. They didn't wait for the call. They just knew there was a gentleman who was a giant. He was a friendly giant. Well he hadn't started anything yet, but a couple other young guys, one from Manchester, already beaten the snout out of each other and they rolled out into the parking lot. Now immediately the guy wants to jump out of the car and you know, now these guys are just duking it out, it's a corner of those barbells, it's not a Hollywood perfect, you know, set piece, and the guy wants to get in the middle of them and he goes, my dad says, wait a minute here, just hold on. So they sat in the car and they watched as these guys, you know, slapped each other and bit each other and they're slapping each other. Slapping, not so much hitting because they're already a little drunk up and they can't quite connect, you know. And they're chasing each other over the car and they're chasing each other around the car. Well finally they got so tired they're chasing each other and dragging each other under a truck, okay. Crawling each other and they're all exhausted and he goes, now we go and deal with it. Exactly, but I don't know how to fight. And no doubt your father was going on he was like why are we going to get in the middle of that? Somebody's going to get hurt, like a dog they're all exhausted and you just walk up pick them up off the ground and hey guys what's going on? Rush in with a billy club in the middle of a you know a brawl a little bit of a brawl and get in the middle of stuff and they had lots of energy so they might decide once all of a sudden they turn it on him. Yeah and again what most of the time what you do common sense okay Goofs what are we fighting over now? Now if there was a policy that if it was really bad you take certain to jail. One of these gentlemen, like I said, it was guaranteed 11 o'clock at the Wolverine bar on a Saturday night. This gentleman would be there. He'd get a certain time and he would never fight one man. He would fight three men so big, and to give you an idea, guys, that a regular pair of handcuffs would... He had wrists, and this is not an exaggeration, as big as a man's calf. What he would do is he'd pick a fight with three guys. everybody knew when he showed up that if he was in a bad mood, not a bad mood, like a mean mood, it was just his idea of fun. He would fight, and then of course as soon as the sheriff's deputy would show up, he would calm down. My dad was not a big, my dad sure and I am, and he would walk up and he'd, he sounded like, you know, he was just like, oh darn, oh, he said this many times, it was common sense. He goes, he could come in and go, oh, drop the gun, you'll drop the, drop the Chelsea guy, you know, because he's, beating out one guy while two guys are kicking him in the back and not doing any good because the guy was like seven foot tall. As soon as he came in, he dropped the guy and it'd be like he said, you know what, if he wanted to mop the floor with all of us, that guy could have. And if somebody had been stupid, somebody didn't know what they were doing and got belligerent, it could have been a really bad situation. He goes, with common sense, this guy always responded the same way. They couldn't ban him from the bar. The guy would spend a fortune drinking and he'd even pay for whatever he broke. just the way he was. This was back in the day when people didn't shoot the place up or anything like that, but it was a, you know, there was a, it was a, and everybody knew there was a released place to do it. Now that doesn't mean fighting's a great thing, but you know what? Hey, that was, if that was better than the inks we see nowadays. But the winter we're willing. Everybody knew what the Wolverine bar was for, but the whole thing is also the mindset of the deputies. You didn't have these goofs for, but empty times. Of course, the problem is if he pulls the trigger, the cops usually got so much adrenaline rush that you'll kill the guy the guy's holding he'll shoot the bartender the old team mags downrange you don't remember the first mag and the last mag if he's got a semi-automatic weapon and he might hit the guy he's shooting at six times big guy like that the guy's being held by the gentle giant who probably please put the gun away please put the gun away but you see nowadays that's the kind of goofiness these fools are in everybody's day I think number one the biggest problem a god is I'm looking at the build on these guys illegal drugs are used by anybody else they table scrape Number two, mucking up, you might as well put a blender on the side of somebody's head and go, pfft, predicted, and they're self-administering. What's happening is, you've got all this rush and this energy and no place to put it. And that's when you see the videos like where they beat up little girls, soaking wet maybe 90 pounds and they're beating on her like, and they're... I've seen you look at these things, these guys are not just doing like little jabs, these guys are doing roundhouse, pull it back and put all the energy right into the fist. And that in and of itself should tell you something. So these characters, somebody is supposed to keep them in check. Now part of the problem I think too, a lot of the people who normally would have done that are already fed up with a system they've walked away, which the system is counted on. the lawlessness and the mindset of these characters now with the beat on the guy because he could send somebody this type of mindset is gravitated to this position because of a lack of proper management of mark yet but no we're listening to you go ahead yet i know what accounts close by uh... that the federal government recommend a higher well somebody what you've somebody to legal profession not what do what they call source called that's next year to be Nexus database and found a whole stack of complaint to this guy they want to put them. And they went before the city council and said we don't want this man as a police officer. Fortunately they hired somebody who has been with the department and has been in the community for many years as police officer instead of one of these people from the outside. A commercial mover because the problem with these commercial movers is they flip like butterflies. It's the same thing that happened with corporate America. People who got into a certain industry had no interest in the industry and Then they flip from one place to the next to the next to the next and it's corporate grasshoppers. The same is true with regard to municipalities. They start, well, I work for Philadelphia and then I work for Miami and it's like, well, did you live in that community? You know, there's one thing, businesses, you know, like corporate business, that's one thing. The problem is there are nuances to every social structure, every, you know, we have 50 states. We have 50 independent nation states. They have very specific makeups. You know, like we just had our friends from Louisiana. Louisiana is a very different world from Maine. Maine is a very different world from... Not much because a lot of people from Michigan. Different from Michigan. I mean, if people retire, we seem to go to the next. We leave Michigan, we go... The thing is that... The other thing I would mention is, and this is one of the other things that I've seen just looking at an overview, traditionally you would hope that the people who were level-headed would stay in the profession. And this goes back several years and it's because a problem, the people that you would want that were better balanced, they're not stepping forward because they don't want all the hassle with the other backstabbing, interference, etc., etc. There's a lot of hassle that we don't think about that goes along with this. The other problem is does a person really want to make a stand if it looks like they've got a bunch of cowards around them with regard to, for instance, the sheriff's authority. The sheriff is up to speed, understands that the sheriff is the highest law in the land, but then you've got a bunch of punks that support the out-township board at the sheriff. In the same breath you got a bunch of punks and fed suck ups. You know, they're federal employees to begin with, so they're going to try to do what they can to undermine and backstab the sheriff because these are all politics that nobody wants to think about. You've got, and then you've got little, you know, control freak wannabes. Whatever reason, again, unfortunately, because we have put our foot down, gravitate towards positions, they're pencil geeks. I mean, I honestly believe this. They hate life, they don't know what to do with it, they got it, and they don't know what to do with it. And I've seen this over and over. I watch this in my art community right here. These characters on one hand will whine and urinate and moan, you know what I was going to say, about everything. And then when they got it, it's like they go brain dead. Well, yeah, but because nobody's salivating over, they thought with the power came all this attention. And it's like, no, it's a job just like everything else, and now you've got more responsibility. Oh, I don't like the responsibility. I just wanted the power freak thing. You know, well you gotta work with this. Well, you know, and that's exactly the mindset. The other thing is, like we've got, and I mentioned this yesterday, you know, then you've got the characters who, their idea is because they've been watching too many damn movies, and this is a real problem. Think that everything should be Johnny Jet Jock and, you know, Jet Black, you know, KGB type uniforms, and you gotta be belligerent, and you gotta, you know, look mean, and blah blah blah. It's like, well you know what, that alien age even more, but the goof doesn't know because they have no background. The person who progressively gravitated through this destruction from the Fed because the Fed is a parish. The state level is becoming no better because all of the extension teeth are sucking off the Fed. And now they wanted this to trickle down to the state, forgive me, the town parish level. That's where the fight is right now. I'm not saying that all the kids, we got highway patrols have been around forever, okay, as long as we've been alive now. And because of the change in the infrastructure, there was a need for that because we have state roads. The problem is where every one of these little power factions want to expand and want to suck more off the general population. Unfortunately, they buy into the we need to grow. Government is purely living off the business does, but they live off the wallet with a gun. Business can't do that with the exception of maybe the insurance companies who get the same guy that's carrying a gun to bed and demand you have it with a car. That's one of the few businesses that's doing that right now. Oh, they want to do with the medical industry, too. They're going to put a gun to your head no matter what. There's the problem where you see where this violence issue comes in. Now, the other part about this is it's not that that hasn't always happened. I've run on story that my dad brought forward years ago. And everybody knew they had this bad county deputy. He was a skunk. He was rotten. He was a terrible person to be around. He hated drunks. Now otherwise he wasn't too bad around the other deputies, but he hated drunks and it didn't make a difference if it was that classic hobo. You know, there's always town, like Ann Arbor was not as big a town then. There used to be like a couple of people who Friday night they were going to get drunked up. They weren't going to hurt anybody, but they get out and they'd sit down on the street on a park bench and they, you know, all around. And they were the classic, you know, like local, they weren't hobos, but you know, they were just the kind of guy like Andy. Yeah, and in this case the guy if this guy got hold of them He would be able to ram their head into the car door when he'd handcuff him and he didn't have to but he'd hand him back in that day It was discretionary completely now of course they made it mandatory already and he clamped the handcuff down to cut off circulation Bump the guys head into the door two or three times before he throw him in the back of the car over the front of the old county station here We used to be downtown in arbor right off main street drag the guy out by his feet and make sure that his head bounced off every step on the way up into the end of the lockup. Thirteen steps. Initially it's like nobody knew what to do. I mean eventually people would, well eventually the rank and file had to get together and explain to this guy about being the whole rest of the self-management with common sense. It's like you know the decent. The problem is that initially that was the decency. People who were decent were the majority but what happens is management doesn't want the people when you get a company comes in and management they determine hiring well between the kosher mafia their hatred of america the agenda from the fed and their hatred of america and their police state mindset and also the bs you've got all these other influences that want to they don't want right person necessarily they want somebody to be antagonistic that's not every cop out there we know that there's a lot of people out there who've been quiet got into the job they're trying to do a good job they're trying to be equitable that's the most important word here. If a person is that bad, like when I've seen, the ones that get me the most are you've got somebody locked up, they can't go anywhere. At the county level, when you see somebody being beat, you've got to understand that there's like in Washtenaw County, for instance, many of the counties here in Michigan, before you're going to be out on the road, you have to serve one year in the county lockup as a jailer. So you aren't just green. In other words, a lot of departments, they'll just throw somebody's brother-in-law out in the car and, you know, not a scout car, they should be in a squad, they should be two people together. But they make it mandatory, so you have to deal with everybody that can be locked up. You gotta deal with somebody every day. Now, that's one of the problems of these characters, like we see with the beating down that little girl. Those guys weren't young students. These are people who were supposed to be men that were supposed to have control and discipline. And what I see there are two-year-old, petulant brass, being able to beat up on something that is, you know, they might as well beat up on a puppy. They have a puppy by the tail and splash it around the inside of the cell and paint the walls with it. You know what I mean? That's how disgusting that is to me. I think we got another... Another caller, jump in there please. I just got in that track and this is something that's critical because we see this more and more. The biggest issue is discipline. In martial arts, You know, when you're sparring, you get PO'd, but you're supposed to have a discipline to control yourself. Exactly. Because again, in a fight, the last thing you want to do is, even as you pointed out, Mark, an old lady right from an 88-year-old woman. And again, that's beyond issue. That guy you've heard of brought through the most of the knock on the floor. Four more of their buddies behind them now. Those were peace officers, you guys. They were grown men. They took a feeding, but they didn't get their guns out because what he's a guy beating me up, I'm going to jump and kill him. They tried again, and then when they saw that they could not succeed, they called for backup and my friend's father went off to Felita jail when the odds were 6-1 marks were right at the top. But that's the difference, you guys. You won't see that today. One will engage in the fight, the other will step back, draw his sidearm, and shoot the offender. We gotta go. We are at the top. Yep, that's right. I'll tell you what, for everybody listening, remember we've got Frankly Speaking coming up next. Guys, it's the end of the month. The shipping age of 888-747-1968. Please donate.
