Summary
Mark Koernke discussed AK rifle sighting systems and the importance of precision iron sights for improving weapon accuracy, contrasting American adjustment concepts with European designs. He addressed concerns about United Way's involvement with Second Amendment groups, expressed skepticism about organized protests and media manipulation, and provided detailed guidance on ammunition selection, emphasizing the reliability of Cold War-era military ammunition over newer corporate specifications. The show concluded with practical advice for listeners planning border deployment operations, covering thermal clothing, layering strategies, and operational security considerations for desert environments.

A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low to me, he said. We fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations, this legacy we gave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep. But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent. Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate. And your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number and you've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm and keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors so their children won't be born. Your leaders send artillery and guns to foreign shores and send your sons to slaughter fighting other people's wars. Can you regain the freedoms for which we fought and died? Or don't you have the courage or the faith to stand with pride? And are there no more values for which you'll fight to save? Or do you wish your children to live in fear and be a slave? O sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now as tyrants trampled each God given right we only watch him tremble too afraid to stand and fight If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep What would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Is this still the land of the free and home? Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. This is the second hour of the afternoon intelligence report. I'm Mark Quirky one day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines and occupied territories central west southeast and north well ladies and gentlemen you're listening to us on liberty tree radio dot four m g dot com p b n dot four m g dot com and we are in live three sixty five then go to liberty tree radio We're also on AM and FM micro stations, CB base stations, and ultra net technologies both east and west of the Mississippi along with southern and central Alaska. We're on the Hallmark network on the eastern seaboard from the top of Maine to the bottom of Florida. From the bottom of Florida across the arc of the Gulf of Mexico headed towards Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Let's see, a whole bunch of the 3rd of Wyoming and Nebraska, and then Iowa slash Iowa, running across the cornfields, over the highway, leaping across the big money, muddy, and money and money, and that's what the Mississippi is good for, all the way across to the Golden Spike Project on the other side of the Mississippi there, running from Pennsylvania, New York, all the way down and across to Tennessee and Kentucky on the western side. And there we are. we have it the the battery of arms of communications systems available and at our disposal it is a beautiful day today it is i believe while we look at what is that date today here on my goodness i'm gonna have to just say that beautiful day out there yet well it is august is the twenty seventh i'm pretty sure but me from wrong twenty six all well women are you sure about that okay yet twenty twenty six It is the second year of Fabian Socialist and Soviet Socialist Occupation of America with a K. I'm distracted because we have cats in a tube here. You have to see it. We'll have to take a video. the one day closer to victory as we say because we've been beaten a living snout out of them people, the bad guys, they've got a bunch of lanes on the other side and in the year 2010 they're looking pretty bad. If that's the best they've got to offer, we just walk out and grab a two by two and just beat them out of town. Don't even bother running them out on a rail. We can use the rail for construction. The two by two's we can replace easily. Wap, wap, wap, wap, wap. well don't worry they're gonna call the secret police and that's what the other stuff we have why we have weapons wednesday's that's all for anyway we had george you're still called in before the top of their drug what else you got for sir yeah my own second ever group your approach by united way put ourselves in there lifting at supporters and i'm quite like uh... both suspicious guy think that i think united ways one of the left of front group he how many second amendment groups are actually in the area I'm really very suspicious of the United Way. That's why I don't watch the National Football League anymore. I've never seen the United Way in any way, shape or form, pro, firearm, anything. So I can't understand where that's coming from if you get my drift. That doesn't make a whole lot of sense. So maybe I'm a little crazy or a little off, but I don't think so. So I would question that in general anyway. Other than the fact that they are more likely to support Handgun Control Inc. than anything. Think about who they are and what they are about. That would put a big question mark right off the bat. My list of things to consider and think about, I would say that for sure. Again, you can't kick them out. You could, I guess, but it's not really. It's not like beating a puppy. What are you going to do? It makes no sense. I mean, I just want to say thanks but no thanks. Well, I'd be curious whether they were looking for you to be sponsoring something or they had some special interest that we missed maybe or what? They wanted to sponsor them and put them in their directory. Oh, well that was just okay. Well, they're just looking for money then. Don't worry about that. That's just the usual financing thing. They're desperately looking for money. But I get a little suspicious. It's a Second Amendment group, a pro-firearm group. a cutting club or whatever, they probably want to know how many are in the area when the time comes. That's the only thing they are really good for, is that they are rodents and spies. So let's figure that out for sure. It's rather fascinating again that they are desperate for money. They are looking for support from anywhere they can. Let's put it that way. It's just the nature of the creature and the way they are right now. I wouldn't question the sincerity of the person who is with United Way. He's part of the departmentalized like everybody else. Right. Well, you know, again, listen to this, let's just figure that maybe they're neutral. On the other hand, beware. You've got a lot of people who, for whatever reason, it's like we said, in their own mind, they've got some attitude about whatever with regard to firearms. It's like, I really like you, George. If we could just take the weapons away from you and put you in prison for ten years, maybe you'd be nicer and you'd be better and you'll be healthier and we'll have saved you from yourself. Always be aware and remember that there are goofs thinking that way. Of course, meanwhile, helping to promote the police state, but that's just the nature of the way things are. If you understand that, you're doing just fine. No art, no your enemies. Well, Mark, you know the thing is I got a lot of flack I post on my Facebook written on my blog. about the ground zero thing about it's a really a non-issue and that people who are against this Moscow you know I'm not crazy about Islam Mark I just really think it's more like you got these people attack going out attacking religious groups property rights and first amendment rights and I just like Basically said you better be aware the same press that you use against them because he turned around used against you Oh, it will be not maybe it will be then in fact any time you see this remember that this kind of fiasco the the Jewish population is the one that's pushing this as far as for propaganda But understand that they hate Christianity just as much Right now you can't apostolize. This is one of the things about being over there in Israel. Go over to Israel and tell them you're going to go out in the streets and apostolize. You're going to go out there and preach Christianity on the streets in Jerusalem and in Haifa and Tel Aviv for a whole year. It's a mission over there. And you're going to be talking about evangelical Christianity. Oh my goodness! You know what? I hope you enjoy your five years in Israeli prison. Because that's what happens to Christians over there for doing that. if they are murdered outright because it'll be the way the right thing to do when killing the gallium see that's the thing everybody you know that the problem i have is who is pushing this bs and again we should be out of this wasting our time but with that the question that isn't wasting our time is what what really are they trying to distract us from you know when you hear something or see pickle smoke and mirrors remember that you know i was kind of like what uh... todo did Remember Toto didn't bother looking at the pickle smoking mirrors. He wasn't really interested in that. He smelled something else. What did he do? He woof woof woof woof woof woof woof, ran over to the curtain and Toto starts pulling on it. Of course Toto was tied to it and was told to walk in a certain direction. If you pay attention you can even see that in the way it was done. But Toto was supposed to be so smart that he actually went over there and pulled the curtain out and the little dog is the one that showed everybody who the wizard really was. what he was really up to and pulling all the knobs and pulling all the chains and you know lighting all the fires and oh I am the great and powerful ah boy I don't want yet The strange thing about this, when my cousins live in New York City, all those protesters are not from New York City. They've been busked in from all around. Oh, you can buy, you know what, they're buying protesters today like they used to down south and used to joke about. Let me remind everybody about politics in the south. They used to laugh about New Orleans, where they would go into different parts of the outer parts of the city and buy people just like I've been joking, but I'm not joking about, like, Tehran. The Jewish Mafia used to go around and the American CIA used to go around and for a curtain tomorrow burrows they would buy protesters. Now a $20 spot would usually get you a protestor who was willing to throw some rocks and take a chance of getting his head busted by the Shah's police. Seriously. That's something we all know. And I'm jogging memories of guys that are sitting there right now who served time in Iran before when the Shah was in there that know what I'm talking about. And the politics here in America was no different with certain cities. Corruption. That was part of the corruption of New Orleans that everybody knew about. And the same is true with Chi-town propaganda, like with the kosher mafia there with what they do. And so yes, in New York, guaranteed, there's a lot of people that need a 20-spot. you know we're five spot hey I'll give you if I'll give you a free meal well we'll bus you in we'll get you a free meal at wherever we can afford we'll tell you where we're gonna feed you we'll get you a meal you get to make some noise we got a box of signs when you get off the bus Go to the guy that's got the pickup truck. He has all the prefabricated dot signs that were done by Izzy's printing over there in Blattenstein and Schmeerberg. And then you're going to walk over here and just listen to the cue from Mr. Goldstein and Mr. Blattenstein and Mr. Bergman here. They will tell you what you need to say, okay? How many of you can speak English? None of you understood a word I said did you? Oh God. Get me the Bada Slava interpreter over here quick. Come on. Okay, and who got, how many people we have? Who needs Spanish? Okay, recognize that. Okay, good. Yeah, let me get the Spanish interpreter over here, too. Now tell them what I just said. That's how bad it is. The only thing is they wouldn't really have to wait. They already have the, nowadays they have the interpreter. Hell, they'll leave him a guy that does sign language. Hi, for all of you people who are looking for a free handout, and you came for the squiggle squiggle squiggle meal. Blah blah blah blah blah. That sounds goofy, but that's how goofy the world is, especially with this BS. Well, free meal, confident of Monsanto. Well, I'm going to... Well, yes, on top of everything else, Edan. I heard a beep. I'll go sign off, Mark. God bless. Thank you very much, George. And I think we do have another caller. Who do we have? Well, maybe he's from Oklahoma. There we go. Go ahead, sir. I think the caller has a call. 2497. Do we have a parts number or an ID number for that? That's OK. Take your time. The Swiss builder number will be WX1. Excellent. again that's uh... for everybody out there that would especially like about the swiss although it takes more get into a member of those are another environmental protective shield offer moisture uh... keeps them cleaner when you're carrying them in the field the the mask uh... for the filter is not going to be dented back to be damaged not going to ding the threads which is most common thing at the very careful of other threads on all of the mass of the filters uh... and of course you don't want to you don't want to strip or distort the uh... thread on the gas mask itself now i i should have addressed this uh... years ago i think i've talked with them quite a while that's why if you have a gas mask filter that has a distorted thread don't think or i'm just going to use the gas mask to read thread the order re-engineer that's not what's going to happen you're going to wear down or distort the plastic on the mask your or the metal which is worse still if it has a metal thread keeper system Instead, if you have to use that filter, take the time to experiment with re-engineering the thread. It's a stamped sheet metal piece that's the gas mask filter anyway. A lot of times they get punked a little bit. Well, guys, break out the needle-nose pliers, experiment with a few pieces of wood dowel, maybe a little tapping metal. You might want very fine. Ideally, you want to use pieces of oak that you can form with a sander. and what you can do is tap that thread back out carefully and re-engineer it. But if you have a damaged thread, be careful and again, don't damage the mask. What you're going to do is you're going to have problems with all your better filters when the time comes. This is an excellent buy. Anything else that jumped out off the page there with that? I've already bought my 20-filth. I know why they're dusty because I know what warehouse they came from. That may be for a 8k47. fully adjustable site, rear site adjustable site, G-H-P-S-W-E-14 that included now point out for something to everybody something uh... for people are going how much was it again what was the price on the site they have one for a hundred has windage and elevation very good now i'm gonna point out this uh... something here about this uh... people go man that's a lot of money i'm gonna Iron sites that are micro-adjustable, they offer adjustment for both windage and elevation, have always been expensive because they are a precision tool. We cannibalized in the shooter circles for too long a lot of the equipment that's been running on other rifles rather than buying new. Now I know why we did that because it was economical. But for years there have been hundreds of different companies that have produced micro-precision sites. It used to be part of, for instance, Range Row over at Camp Perry. Range Row used to occupy all the buildings over there as they were a series of vendors that would come in during the national matches. Today they barely fill one row of buildings where traditionally they would fill all three of the old Quartermaster buildings over there next to the Range. This would include site companies. Now a site company like this to be building something like this, we're not just talking, we're not talking throwing together AK receivers because they really are almost beer can metal. The way they're put together, they're as simple as could be. I won't say beer can, more like a front fixture on a 1939 Ford light fixture. That's about how crude they are. Anyway, the point is that the microsites bring up the potential of the ACAD dramatically, and especially just with conventional iron sites. My argument for years is that a lot of the optics, while I enjoy them, are useful only to a degree, and eventually you're going to start pairing stuff off, or you're going to find that if things are damaged, you cannot replace them. The iron sites, especially precision iron sites, give you all of the basic tools that are needed to get the job done. You just have to develop your personal skills. Rather than worrying about Kentucky windage, you have the ability to actually adjust the site the same as you would with the M1 Garand, even the M1 Grand, the 1903 Springfield, the M14, even the M16 has that full potential. This brings the AK up into that family. It goes away from the European theorem of how sites work and applies the American concept of adjustment, both for elevation and for windage as needed. So this is a good solution. Have you had a chance to see any of these? I have not. I just stumbled. that no more vacation well this is a good solution i actually i'll i'll have to do a little more work on this not going to give the website out three times for our listeners so they can go to check this out all right the website is the the eight c h the at that number again as one or three three three two two two question are these american sites are the built-in u.s. i believe there are Yeah, that would be fantastic. It doesn't mean there aren't some made overseas, but if these are U.S. made especially, that is a very, very, that's a plus issue right there. And again, I'm going to call these people again tomorrow. because anytime we can find an American company where somebody is doing this kind of work and it's being done in the US, we need to keep the skilled trades active. I know a lot of guys are going, well, man, Mark, I bought a side rail and I've got the sniper scope on the weapon. That's fantastic. Now, what I'd recommend is the next step up where you're going to upgrade that AK, that SEGA or that AK-47 or that AK-74 is to actually improve the sighting system. We've talked about this many times on the air. That is the only significant step for changing completely the concept of the AK. The real limitation of the AK has been the siting system itself and that's based upon european theory there if you look at the came and you know sir tell me that there's any change or the big gradient system in the slide rail system without when it adjustment and without precision not adjustment which is you know like complete with a completely different school the europeans were satisfied with what they put on the weapons i understand that were using the rifles like this and i can i've used them all day but i've also used national match iron sight rifles noted go one ninety oh three spring field one three state championships Even as a now used firearm, and not abused, but it's been in service for quite some time, that weapon will sing out to 900 yards. And it's the sights that make that weapon work. The potential of the barrel is there, the cartridges there, and of course loads, obviously the ammunition used is critical too. That's going to determine how your group spreads. But the performance of the weapon is brought up dramatically with just simply a better sighting system. and that's what we're working towards. So to see that happen, it gets you closer to the Velma. You know, I always yep about the Velma on the air. And the Velma is the Cadillac of A-case. If you could afford the Velma, you'd understand what I was talking about. Notice I say, could afford. If you can, then you're spending the same money you'd spend on almost a new car nowadays, or at least a really nice used car. There are no cheap Velma. And they stopped bringing them in a long time ago. here again uh... why you there are other mechanical options that we've talked about compensators the side rail that of course enhances your ability with more important anything my in my opinion the night vision the iron sites brings up your potential for all of the other conditions and in many cases you'd be amazed you'll find yourself preferring to use the iron sites over the optics if you had something that would perform to your special your personal your level of of expertise the site for the offer that Anything else? What else? Anything else? Gun. You're already rolling our roll right now. Two out of three here. Keep going. Okay. Also they do have a rifle, a 95 rifle. Another interesting thing about this too, and again like I said, none of the iron sights traditionally that are precision iron sights have been cheap. The master range of rifle sights. Even if a weapon is damaged or if a weapon has been rusted, if you can salvage the sights, most of them are most of these are add-on block sights. They are the peep arpeggio rear. They will be precision metal, they will not necessarily be stainless, so that's the other problem is there's a little more maintenance involved. That's the other thing I was curious, what metal did they use for the sites, do you know? I think they said it was made out of aluminum, I believe. Oh, aluminum, the wonder metal. Well, that's a little different direction there, but that still will be good. Depending on the aluminum, there are many, many grades of aluminum. I would have to stress that also. Depending on what they've used, they're trying to keep the system light and it's also a little easier on the machinery, especially on the tooling, which is one of the reasons to go to aluminum. Otherwise, typically 4130, 4140, chromoly is used. In many cases, cut from one block of metal, they shave off all of the excess metal until they find the site and those site systems is what it comes down to. Very good. I'm going to call to see what they have in stock, see what they have available. Any other items that they have, or do they just do sites? The site Apatrice. Okay, very good. I'm looking at another site here that went to Ag Biactis, but still again sites just a different company, and not what we're interested in. I'll tell you what, if you can, keep an eye out. That would be something that's very helpful. We're looking at, in fact a project I was just discussing with somebody this morning, we we hours in the morning. having to do with what we would call the optimal AK. In other words, everybody's asking, what would you do? And I'm thinking what we're going to do is play out, because we've got the database pretty well collected. This is good, because I'll have to check to see what they say about their iron sites. We'll have to see if we can get a sample of those. But the unoptimal AK configuration. I'm not into a whole lot of the extra add-on, you know, whirly-gay items. And one of the things, even though the Picatinny rails are neat, The problem with having picatinny rails all over the place is that they catch things. If you've ever been in any kind of like Michigan here, we've got creeping vines, we've got sumac, we've got grape vines. We're not the tropical rainforest, we're walking through a temperate forest. Michigan used to be covered with trees. A squirrel could run from one lake to the other without ever touching the ground. and it's not too far off that in some parts of the state now it's getting wilder even as we speak so if you had to pass through this area in iraq or in afghanistan they don't have the foliage they do not have the environment so a lot of this stuff you can use urban warfare even there a lot of it you can use for the time being until somebody gets really aggressive and starts fighting a real urban war and if they do mr fishing line is going to come out fishing string yarn twine treble hooks You wouldn't want me in front of you because before you ever got to me, you would be wishing to God you'd stayed home. And that's because I'll use everything. Chunks of wire, pieces of telephone, oh the telephone wire is fantastic. Oh that's a mucker. That is a real messer. You can take a box full of taxor nails and a whole bunch of fine telephone wire and string it and it is just a bugger. In fact, eventually you string in a tuck to something else that goes pop, pop, boom, boom, and boy, you'll realize maybe you want to be more careful about not finding stuff like that. Just so many different tricks and techniques, and you have to use them. You must integrate them and then combine that with accuracy, not with volume fire. I'll point something out about accuracy. A bunch of our guys, I just talked to some of the kids that just came back here. It's been a week now. It seems like yesterday we've been busy, busy. But, like they pointed out, when they were in a firefight over there, when they hear small arms fire individual placed rounds, everybody's taking cover. When they start to hear a big long chain of full auto, they'll almost stand up and just start popping the bad guys, because for whatever reason they've got this idea that they need to switch to full auto, blaze and crack rounds over everybody's head and not hit jack or squat. And that's when they would be generating casualties against the Iraqis coming at them. because they either you've got like a belt fed gun in there you know like literally only four five hundred round bar barrel out and not be hitting jack or squat i mean they're not scared anybody either because everybody pretty well figures out none of them have had much time to be on the weapons of it not be able to train with them so whatever their whatever impression they've been given about how to do things at a given point they do the the spray and pray bombs i charge Now, hopefully everybody's learned or knows better. This is not a video game. Accuracy would completely change, and a policy of accuracy and engagement nonstop would completely change the dynamic. And this is something our own guys are acknowledging, that they're more worried about when they hear a crack. They definitely take cover and stay undercover, and they're hugging the earth and using the terrain whenever possible. I mean, you're going to do that anyway. You don't want to get stuck by that odd stray bullet. But if they hear a lot of rattle battle going on, especially long, long bursts, they're up and they're using placement and accuracy to replace volume fire for suppression. Because they know that they've got an opportunity to actually see the target, aim at the target, and hit the target. And for all this BS where you've got the shysters that are in the control media yapping about how, you know, the age of the rifleman, the age of the rifleman is just as truly important today as it has been throughout history of the firearm, where the firearm has been used or is in service. Right now, the rifle marksman is critical. Just because the slob socialists think that Americans aren't supposed to be aiming, that's because they're trying to degrade us to the low standard of other parts of the world. That's what socialists do. They are not builders. They are degraders. We need to be altering that completely. I want my enemy to embrace that. I hope they continue to. I believe we need desperately for them to do more of that. But on our side, accuracy, accuracy, accuracy. This helps a great deal on that area. Anything else where you want to take off? I have one more question. or why do you think that because it's reliable uh... number one that's what you you you just mentioned don't shoot it but you didn't put the you kind of that was not only will be qualified at the reason i brought that up is number one it's the ammunition is coming in a field camp now there's two options on this the tens of these things are coming in are in the family are in the fabricated sheet metal and it's a lead it okay so it's very good it's very well they're well made pull the polls don't do anything and never have done anything cheap they're like the polls in the checks of made very high quality equipment forever Their machining potential, their machinery and the ability to use it has been demonstrated time and again that they are masters of the trade. This ammunition was made in the 50s. It is corrosive, guaranteed. But it has been sealed. It is in the five round stripper clip, so it's the optimal condition. If you were to take it out of the tin, and the only reason I would do this is if you had a fear that the can might be compromised, or you're not sure that consistently the cans are secure, and you want to switch the ammo over to, say, 30 caliber or 50 caliber US ammo cans that are clean. If you did that, I wouldn't do anything to change. I try not to move the ammo or the equipment anymore, the components anymore, than absolutely necessary. Try to keep them as tight as possible. Pack them in a similar way to the way they were packed so that there's no jostling or shifting of the ammunition itself inside the 30 caliber or 50 caliber cans. That means you use cardboard inserts to tighten up the load. Other than that, I wouldn't want to shoot it because I know that the Mercuric primers have a longer shelf life. They are more stable in general. In inclement weather, they are more reliable across the board. Most all of the new primers, think about this, there's been a bunch of stuff that they dumped out on the market from the production for Iraq. And some of this is because of lack of reliability that took place, and this has been proven out in certain loads that guys have been experimenting with. Now, we haven't had a big problem with that here, but I guarantee that if they're going to dump anything into the market in the long run, it's going to be the... if it's the new stuff, which I noticed has disappeared and not been replaced. It's probably because the stuff had a question mark next to it and we've been burning it up. I even mentioned this in the last three years. I would save the older ammunition, especially the older military stuff made during the Cold War, because that was designed to kill us. It was built by people who planned on shooting Americans. So we know that the stuff would not be booby trapped. It would not be malfeasant, malfunctioning. On the other hand, we've got all these socialist goofs running the operation now who've been trying everything they could think of to either degrade or to alter the reliability of the ammunition in the long run based on the idea that they're going to disarm the planet or that they're going to try and play gun control a la chemistry. And that's where the new stuff would be more in question in my mind than the old stuff because it's like the 545x39 AK-74 ammunition. The 53 grain ammo was the first stuff made for the AK-74. It was made as a military contract for combat operations against Afghanistan and also because of some other internal revolts that Russia was having to deal with. And mostly, that ammunition was made for Spessnaz because originally only the airborne and Spessnaz units received the AK-74. It was an elite units, we know, issue weapon. So the 53 grain ammunition, which was the earliest ammo, was actually the ammunition issued to SPC and special airborne units. Making that ammunition the highest standard ammo probably that Russia was making at that time. So my personal attitude is I would be buying the snot out of that and putting those camcams on the shelf and leaving them stacked up. This Polish ammunition and the five round stripper clips I'd look at it the same way. Because, again, it's already in the five round strip eclipse. We know the Poles make good ammunition. This was done for the Cold War. And by the way, when the Poles were making it, they were hoping maybe they'd shoot Russians with it too. Think about that. Because the Poles were always looking at the hope that maybe someday they could be free and independent and break away again. So just some things to look at when it comes to being a connoisseur of fine ammo. It's just like fine wine. There are different grades and there are different eras that have to be remembered or understood. I don't trust a lot of the stuff made to these new corporate specs because we know they've been trying to use TACMARs, they've used TACMINs, they've got different types of markers. They also tried to use biodegradable primers, which as I mentioned a couple of years ago. started trying to use this stuff over in iraq the troops were complaining because the stuff was malfunctioning ammunition was not even firing well the reason that was happening is because they were creating intentionally uh... time degradable ammo under the logic that or could use all this and walk which any idiot who's a bean counter would believe that but anybody who's a soldier is better but in service knows that you know we've deployed ammunition we leave it by the millions around in locations and forget about it And that's fine if everybody's honest, but we have a bunch of stinking, bottom beating socialists running the system and they want to be sneaky. Well, all they've done is sabotage their own system. And what's really cool is that's exactly what happened. We've got better, more reliable stuff on our side. They've been playing stinker and slinker and have been screwing their own people. So there's the difference between the two. Again, we have to be selective, we have to know the time frame of production, we have to look at and evaluate the equipment. It can be weapons, it can be ammo, or it can be gear. And what will work for our purposes or does it fit a niche? And then also again, what was, when it was produced, what was the purpose for it at the time? Not much of anything that the Russians were producing was really clandestine slash sabotage ammo. They couldn't afford to have that happen because pretty much everything they produced they figured they'd be using themselves. The US, on the other hand, did some really funky stuff over the years with stuff that they produced when they betrayed the Cubans. For instance, at the Bay of Pigs, they mismarked ammunition cans. Somebody did. We don't know who, but it's obvious the CIA was running the operation. So the CIA actually mismarked ammunition so it didn't get to where it was supposed to when the troops ended up dead on the beaches or dead beyond the landing zone when they tried to press inward because they'd opened a can that was supposed to be .30 caliber carbine and it was .30 out of 6. They'd open a can that was supposed to be Browning 30 caliber ammunition, and it turned out it was carbine ammo. By the time they were able to trade stuff off, it was already too late, but that had all come from the factory. And back in that time, to give you an example, Lake City Armory accommodated the Central Intelligence Agency extensively. They were the primary contractor within the government system for our arsenals that produced CIA ammunition for export. Lake City was the only arsenal that produced, except for Aberdeen, which produced research ammo. They produced special lots of sterile ammunition, boxer primed, reloadable, heat annealed case, copper jacket, full brass case ammo that was designed for clandestine operations overseas. And we used it. There's another example. But they also did some other stuff that was rather Twilight Zone-ish too. Anyway, ideas. Anything else? Go ahead, please. Nope, that's it. One last thing. Because this man is a very honest man. He's a great man to have around. And I'll tell you what, remember I talked about this whole, you know, the little thing with the NRA that we had years ago where we sat down and let everybody ask questions? Hoppy was one of the people that I just let go. I mean, he was fantastic. He started asking questions and the more he asked, the more he looked... I mean, he couldn't hide his expression. Because he's an honest person and what he was doing is sitting and he's the more questions he asked the more physical his expression and after a while he got quiet. Everybody else got quieter too. And when the characters that were from the NRA left everybody looked at me and said, Mark what's the difference between them and handgun control incorporated? And I said, nothing, none whatsoever, no difference at all. Because, really every time they would ask a question, these characters were the inner board, not the outer board that is selected. These are the characters that are part of the real spiders that run the NRA. And everybody sat there and was listening. And when they would ask a question, the character sounded literally like a person he sounded like a guy from Handgun Control Incorporated. And Hoppe was like, we sat there for a while and of course other people had to leave. And it was wee hours in the morning when we finally left, I think about three o'clock. He has a good grasp on the reality of what has happened over the last couple of decades. He got to experience firsthand what happened with his experience with the Oklahoma City bombing grand jury. That got him on the road. He already was knowledgeable. He was not a stupid man or an ignorant man and he just turned the light bulb turned on. This man is a thinking individual. He is fascinating. He is actually a great person to be around. He is very intelligent. He is very experienced in life. and I think it is an excellent witness to the reality of how things work. So that's fantastic. Thank you for that input too. I really needed that. Well, appreciate it, sir. If you can, make another list and come up any time you need to. Okay, no problem. God bless. I will remind everybody real quick guys because it is heading towards the winter. Now a lot of you are thinking about and you are going to be going down for the deployment even if you are not going with any particular like larger operation that is taking place. A lot of people are going down to help family members that have ranches or property down on the border about the same time as the other deployment that is proposed. If that fails or succeeds, if it continues or it doesn't, we still have people that are going to go down there despite whoever tries to undermine what's going on or whatever. If you're going to go down there, I'm going to remind you that it is desert. You probably have already talked to family. You may have been down there before anyway, but take some cold weather gear with you. We are going to progressively be moving into the fall. Now, the desert is still warm during the day all through the winter. What we call winter up here, they see a tinge of in some areas and for the most part it's still like our summer down there. Or at least our early summer or say early, early fall. On the coldest days, but at night. At night, there is nothing to retain the heat. Guys, other than whatever you're wearing, let's put it that way. And since you're gonna be down there and probably working at night, remember to start looking at thermal layers of clothing. You're not going to be standing one place for a period of time, although you may be in LPOP operations, or you could be in Pickett, where you're going to be standing and observing a wide area. You might be sitting in one place operating radio equipment out of a truck. You could be operating camera equipment, monitoring yards, properties, or whatever. You're monitoring a field or monitoring on a Royal, that's a common path that is a threat area. Well, if you're there, you're going to be sitting, you're going to get cold. And another thing that's going to happen is you're going to find out your feet are going to get cold faster, as is always the case. So consider good wool thermal socks and making sure you have extra pairs, at least seven. OK, at least seven. Also remember that if you're sitting or if you're working out and you're moving, you're going to be collecting calories, you're going to get hot. That's why you need to remember to ventilate. Just like winter operations in general, when you're out there and you have other layers of clothes, you'll want to shed some. And this is why layers are critical. You can take a layer off and still have some thermal protection. But most important is ventilate so you don't start to retain too much sweat. Sweat is, of course, a form of radiation. It's a shedding system. It's a radiation helper. It helps to get rid of calories. The problem with that is you can start to shed too much, you can start to lose core body temperature, and then we're looking at an exposure issue. We don't want to see that happen. I'm going to warn you about that in advance because we're very concerned to make sure that you people all get out there, you're comfortable, and you're able to do the job. The more you are able to balance your body system, the better you'll be able to focus on the mission. And that's what we're concerned with, your survival. We're going to make sure that you get in there and get out of there in one piece. Well, the first part about that is being able to observe and not be distracted. So you have to make this part of your ongoing process and work style. Now, combat commando sweaters of any kind will help. And that's a critical issue right there. Another thing, a good pair of long johns. I don't care what model or brand. I don't care if it's Chycom, Cheepy brands. Of course, those won't last very long. And when the first time you wash them, you'll lose half the weave. But if you can find good surplus long johns. The Wooly Brown Bear outfits that came in after Vietnam through the 80s and into the 90s are an excellent set. They are zipper type, they are in the earth brown colors, and those again are a good layered item to carry. And by the way, should be in your Alice pack even during the summer months, at least a pair of long johns. Why? Well that's one simple layer of clothing that if need be, temperature drops down. maybe you have casualties you need to be able to keep the casualty warm you're treating for shock well guess what putting additional thermal layers on the casualty will help to keep them from shedding calories they can't afford to lose again we're treating for shock that's one of the basics one of the first things you're doing treat for shock thermal blankets are an option but I will remind you something about thermal blankets crinkle crinkle crinkle crinkle crinkle crinkle They work, they are serviceable enough, but consider how much noise they may make. Cloth is quiet, it is more peaceful, it is not going to make any noise, it is going to draw attention. Remember that also when you are working at night, sound travels further. Oh yeah, that's right. Even that simple snap or that from that velcro we've talked about this before if one guy does that maybe you can cover it up depending upon how the wind is from things that russell but if there's a hundred of you and you're all there or crinkle crinkle crinkle crinkle i have felt like a bunch of small woodchucks with no some kind of plastic bag stuck over their head wandering around desperately trying to get it off and and inflailing in the underbrush of the desert to scrub Except that it sounds bigger than that sir, almost 6 foot tall and still crinkling, crinkling around. Yeah, it's over there. Yeah, over there that brush. And there's another one. I hear the other one too. Yeah, see how that works? You'll be able to actually do that after all. You'll get very good at directing your mind to sound. And that's something you need to do anyway. Part of the multi-dimensional aspect of dealing with the battlefield situation that you're going to be involved in. under any circumstances, not just this deployment down there, but anywhere you might be, no matter where you are in the country, operational security, physical security, doing patrols in your area, something you need to get used to doing anyway, this operation down in Arizona, be it helping family or being part of the deployment, either way, you're going to be gaining critical knowledge that is priceless and irreplaceable. We're at the top. Speaking of irreplaceable, time carries on and it never comes back. And we are at the top of the hour.
