Live 365 Oh, sons of the Republic, arise, take a stand, defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the land, preserve our great Republic and each God given right, and pray to God to keep the torch of freedom burning bright. As I awoke, he'd vanished in the mist for whence he came. His words were true, we are not free, but we have ourselves to blame. For even now his parents trampled each God-given right. We only watch him tremble, too afraid to stand and fight. If he stood by your bedside to dream while you were asleep and wondered what remains of the freedoms he fought to keep, what would be your answer if he called out from the grave? Is this still the land of the free? Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. Oh, forgive me. Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. This is the afternoon intelligence report time, Mark Hernke. One day closer to victory for all of our brothers and sisters both on and behind the lines in occupied territories Central, West, Southeast, and North. Well, ladies and gentlemen, you are listening to us on LibertyTreeRadio.4mg.com. We're also on AM and FM microstations, CB base stations, and Ultra Net Technologies both east and west of the Mississippi along with southern and central Alaska. We're on the Hallmark Network on the eastern seaboard from the top of Maine to the bottom of Florida. From the bottom of Florida across the arc of the Gulf of Mexico. Headed towards Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, ooh a chunk of Nebraska, part of, or well the third of Wyoming, then over to Iowa slash Iowa, across the Mississippi and over to the Golden Spike Project, way over there on the eastern half of the country past the great muddy, that's right where the restaurant crews, grandma teams, and the OK teams are doing their part. I want to say thank you. It's more than just a little battle in southeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania. It covers a lot more real estate and it's exceptionally well performed and executed. Congratulations. I'll tell you what, we might have Don with us. Yes, we do. And that means that, Don, what is the date today, sir? It is the 24th, rather 25th August year of our Lord 2010 and no matter how politically correct that becomes, again, I'll tell you, the 25th day of August year of our Lord 2010. And you know, if you don't have a full trade your cloak and if you got a sword well just drop it in the chamber there and let the slide jump to battery and fill the magazine with the magazine well with the magazine and confirm to yourself and everybody listening and those around you that it is a weapons one thing it doesn't have to be a weapons one thing for the aforementioned actions to take place but I confirm that it is a weapons one thing mark the perimeter by the way it's We can now offer equal opportunity, coercive force, where needed, especially at close quarters, which is what the 1911 was designed to do. Deal a deadly blow, actually a devastating blow, with the amount of energy that is delivered to the target. That's why it's not in 9mm, it's not in 38 special, it's not in 9mm automatic. That was the competition for it back in the day. 9 auto, 9mm auto, well in 38 auto also. But eventually the 45 ACP went out and there's a reason it delivers a lot of energy without any special work. The bullet, even without opening up any more than it already does, is more than enough to cause a lot of problems, especially for somebody trying to be aggressive against you. And one typically is enough, especially with a .45 caliber pistol of that type. Don't have to worry about pop, pop, pop, pop, pop, maybe closer and pop, pop, pop, pop, pop. Of course, it depends on how big the monster is, I guess, too. You might have to use an old clip on a target, but that may just be excessive energy on the part of the shooter more so than the need to deliver that much energy against the target. Just keep that in mind. You get a little excited when the time comes. Persnickety is another term. Little tenacious, aggressive. So there's a whole list of words that can be thrown into the trailer there. But the bottom line is we're hoping to help prepare you for what's going to be a norm situation, something that you may have to deal with in the future more readily than you think. And that includes being able to arm yourself up and being ready to use the weapons that you have. You must train and practice with them. Don, what do you have for us? Anything up at that end? What's been going on in that neck of the woods? Well, it's a beautiful afternoon here this Wednesday. About two guys have that gray in them. So as opposed to getting to 80 today, the man lied. It only got to seven. Speaking of way off, let's mission of the week here. Monday we talked about a particular guy taking advice from another early flyer when he said, I'm close to my man, I take good aim, and then naturally he falls. yesterday we talked and kneeling in the street and taking good aim and his opponent fell down. I want to bring you, oh I could go in a couple of different directions here Mark, but one guy here I want to talk about, Hammer. I mentioned him this morning, Frank Hammer, and a good portion of this story here comes from, I told you this this morning, you guys combat shooting tips from guns and ammo and this was printed back in 95 and time gun fighters learn from the gun fighters. And as mentioned before, we can't live to make every mistake. And you make a mistake in a gun fight, nip. But I'll go and bring you some more. But the author talked, and this would, here, Mark, the author says, my favorite of the soldiers and peace officers is Captain Frank Hammer, the Texas Ranger's hammer is a favorite because he came along much later than the other famous shooters. It's the gap between the respect law man and the modern peace officer. He knew him as a child. knew someone who knew him and actually met him. The author did when he was a child. But most people know Captain Hammer and I'm going back to text here, is the man who got Bonnie and Clyde. He was just part of that team. That was led by Jim, who was the actual team leader. Hammer was born in 1884. A lot of people think the Bonnie and Clyde thing was the feather. He was a logger too and because of that he had a lot of time on horseback. And then he became a ranger and his work made him a ranger, was fame. what got him famous, Marquis. His captain, Hammer, carried a Colt single-action as Fave Warren III, I've re-handled 45, profusely engraved, he called it old lucky. Hammer also believed strongly in the practice of carrying a backup Smith and Wesson Trippkin 44 special, bring the Bonnie and Clyde chase his backup gun with Colt 1911 in 30. He refused to discuss how many men he had killed in gunfights. He did, however, admit to having been in 52 separates during his long career. Some historians believe that Hammer may have killed as many as 50 men, but I think it's pretty high. I would put that figure at something less than 20, the author says. Oh, for sure. When we're in the line of duty, it was an unpleasant duty. On the subject, and this is right down to the mission here, on the subject of gun fighting, Hammer had some solid opinions. He thought that point shooting was other than plenty risky to innocent bystanders. A friend once asked Hammer if he'd ever shot from the hip. Hammer's reply was, quote, once in a while, the man I was shooting at was I didn't have room to raise my gun and point it properly close quote I could oh we could talk about it in October 1917 hammer was ambushed in Sweetwater, Texas Gee McMeans and HE Phillips two men hired to keep hammer from testifying in court door of a gas station McMeans with a 45 all in his hand hammer slapped the gun as McMeans fired them for hammers chest hit him in the shoulder instead another 45 bullet hit a few feet away amazingly the shotgun bladders hat off but did not hit him Hit twice and ducking shotgun blasts, Hammer pulled his Smith and Wesson triple lock and shot McMeans in the heart, killing him instantly. A.G. Phillips Hammer would not shoot him in the back and the tackles John to say that he didn't let his brothers shoot him either, but eventually they caught the guy and the whole event mark was viewed from a jury that was in, kind of immediately cleared him of that, while the doctor there patched him up. I got one more story here for you about Frank Hammer, you guys in close quarters gun fighting. And you might think, well, this is a law, man, and you can see the situation in a number of... This is history, you guys. Here's an even better one. Because not only could Frank Hammer keep his cool during a gunfight, but he had a strong disdain for criminals of all kinds. Mark, in 1927, he took a ranger force to board your Texas to clean up this oil field boom. In the course of this action, he found that the sheriff, chief of police, and their officers were all in... the criminal element that controlled the town, obtaining warrants for all of them to come in and surrender. On the appointed day, the officers met Hammer at the courthouse to surrender to him, and to turn their guns over to one of the other Rangers, but the sheriff informed Hammer that all of the officers had left their guns at home. He said, well damn it, get your guns and come back here, and they did too. What a magnificent act of... He's talking to law men, Mark, who were crooked. And they tried to come in and not bring their guns in and he didn't even want to face them. He wanted them to surrender to them with their guide and give their guns over because do it like a man kind of so to speak, go do it right. Here's another story about you guys I'll save that for another time but you know what much like Hammer said you take aim unless your target is so close that you cannot raise the gun to point properly. In the one fight Agner marked the man was so close threat was initially was able to initially here of his body taking a a just probably meant for his heart in the shoulder certainly everyone here would agree that this thing that's far better and be able to still be in the fight and now that's close range and i think that at the at the same time well it just shot me in the shoulder you move the gun over now a shot in the net that recoil that that gun might have been the shot that saved his life mark but that that went into his five might have bent him over enough to get just out of the way to all he got with his hat blown off by a few of them maybe it was I don't know what was in that shotgun. Think about how many goofy things happen in a gunfight, in and instant. There's just one description, and that's Frank's description of what happened. It was eye-witnessed by a whole bunch of people, so it can't be, well, Frank made that up. We talk about long distance. We talk about keeping your opponent beyond his ability to strike you. That's to be commended and that's something that is the ultimate to strike your opponent without him being able to strike you. If you're going to lift any sort of weapon, even if it's just your hand, it is the ultimate. But if your opponent is close to strike you, you don't have to take aim when you can just simply put that 45 in their gut. inches away or if he's close enough to punch you i don't really think you're going to have to take a minute the fix on or the flight gun comes out the you mark no actually remember the uh... it was for as was uh... demonstrated The weapon itself can be used not lethally, but used as a weapon to deliver a blow if they're that close. Of course, if they're trying to kill you, chances are you're going to make sure that things are returned in kind and spades as they say. The most important thing there is getting around into the target because they may not have the discipline or typically do not have the discipline that you do if you've already made the decision to fight effectively. Ambush and an actual fight are two different worlds. You know, thinking it comfortably, the target isn't going to resist or have the opportunity to resist is one thing, but actually facing off against an opponent, we're a total world of difference there. And again, as is pointed out, especially in the one-gun battle, the point-blank range, any round delivered is going to be a plus, especially when you're in a two-to-one-odd situation. You want to start to put rounds into the target. Ideally, though, place the rounds where they're going to do the most damage. You get the most benefit for the amount of energy spent. If you see two, the other problem is, you know there could be more. That's one of the other parts of the formula that has to be tied into this, which I'm sure what he was thinking. It's like deal with the problem in front of me. Oh, wait a minute. End the other problem. But, man, if there's two. I better be beyond my guard so to speak as it is. So deliver concise and specific energy. The only interesting thing is the part about him letting the guy go because he wouldn't shoot him in the back. And you know where that comes from? It's an example of how we have a totally different mindset or there's a totally different world. Everybody talks about how, oh Americans we're so terrible at this and he and them blah blah blah. Well where do you think that idea of fair play came from? That was an American thing. That was the whole idea. It actually is an overlap from another era where if a person was willing to fight, fine, that's fair and square, but if a person broke and was retreating or breaking contact, and this goes into the, in reality, remember, they used to call these guys dualists, remember? Oh, yeah. Now, there's a thing about that. This goes back through the history of the nation. There were all kinds of norms that were expected to be maintained with dueling. If a person broke and ran, the conflict was over. The individual was allowed to leave. I'll bet in disgrace he wasn't supposed to. The idea was he probably wouldn't want to show his face in that community again. It depends on what kind of a scallyway he was, but because of the standards and the social mores, That rolled over with a man who was old enough that he grew up in that environment. He grew up in that experience, that background. That says something for the person himself as opposed to everybody when they act about modern times and civilization and the other. Really? Well, we all know what the brawl state of mind is with a lot of people. My attitude is when they're down they're going to get hit again anyway because they're, you know, again, I'm not planning on letting them get back to the locker room to laugh about how they murdered me. I'm going to make sure that they don't get back up, but when down, engage, and continue engaged, they came to perform a dirty deed, and they're going to be treated as such. Mark, I'm sorry, but going back to that, what comes up in a gunfight, and there might be more than one, I found another example here, and it comes right, it fits right in here, you guys. It's placed in 1887, and this is an old western gunfight. But you guys and this was the one I was referring to earlier about this was the Ranger hammer going someplace This was a different person tried in you guys runs and I'll go right to tech tactics and determination were also important factors among the frontier shooters There is no better example of that than the day in 1987 1887 when sheriff is very Owens his true name rode into Holbrook Arizona to arrest Andy Blevins Stable this horse seen this weapons and walked across the street to the Blevins house to arrest his man. His knock was hit by Andy Blevins. He chose to answer the door with a cocked Andy with a shotgun. He also shot John Blevins who was shooting at him from another front door. Jumping off the portents was in time. He was climbing out a side window with a cocked pistol. He turned to the front of the counter Sam Blevins. He was blazing his way out of the door. Commodore Perry Owens had three men and wounded a fourth with exactly four shots from his Winchester .45. not receive a single wound in this short. Now you could well imagine, I just described part of a movie scene from the old west and some of the scenes you might think well that's so impractical that never happened but you know some of the people who did some of the older scenes they worked on well this is and this and that and that's how it really could have happened and in fact that's the account so we're going to do it that way and then you got a whole bunch of pictures. Another historical, another guy who just, what did he do? Speak, he parked the He stabled the horse. He cleaned his gun. Then he walked across the street to get his man, Mark. And, well, we could talk. The other thing we talk about over and over, one of my favorite examples of target fixation, Mark, is on a hill. So the way the land laid, there was a boulevard. I was on the front outside, and I was looking down the slope. The road was in Toledo, the suburbs of Toledo. And there was a big college party going on and all of a sudden you saw the crowd go one way and the crowd moved the other and then back and forth a little in a big hole in the center of the crowd. Then it kind of split open as a young man came darting out of that crowd. Another belligerent hot on his tail. I mean he was chasing him running it. They were both running as fast as they could. Now remember the aforementioned boulevard. It was going 35 miles per hour and it was probably missed him by 10 or 20 feet. That was good. The next guy, the car was already, he watched the car go between him and his core. He continued to chase this guy. He was so target fixated on this. The guy he was just beating up apparently who didn't want any more of the beating. He was running away. This guy chasing him ran into the second lane of the boulevard mark and the guy that was fleeing the front just ran past a couple of motorcycles. The second guy fleeing ran into one of the motorcycles. The guy on the motorcycle stopped. He didn't expect to see somebody else running across the street too. But that motorcycle hit this guy like a six-turned him over and smashed him to the ground. He was unconscious for a while. Well, none of his friends wanted my friends to call him ambulance or anything because he's on parole and he's the type of people you hang out with there. But the example there is target fixation. This dummy chased his target across the street. and in the coming motorcycles. Well, he lay unconscious in the road. We talked about a moment ago about multiple targets, four shots, four hits, three, and it probably didn't happen any faster or slower than it took to describe the read it from the text. Think about it like Time Movie. He shot the guy at the door, he looked around, somebody sticks his head out of another front door and he shoots that guy too because he was just about to bring his gun to bear on him. And before you can realize what happened, he kind of pours it here as a guy hanging out of the window get ready to climb up the window point is going to shoot them all than the other guy got shot so let's not forget in between his yeah but whatever i can operate it it's the only only online here again remember when the man would be peaceful meet the man with a rifle demand would be rifle wins every time uh... in reality that something we have argued right from over from the get-go guys is that uh... your main battle rifle your primary weapon is your first weapon in engagement Carrying a handgun as a primary is usually not a very good option because again the other guy that's probably carrying that rifle knows how to use it and contrary to the James Bond movies and all the others, the guy with the rifle is going to be, try to be as completely proficient as he can at the greatest range possible so he doesn't have to get up and get too messy with anybody, especially you. So in reverse order that's the attitude you're supposed to have. If you're using your handgun, it's because, well again, it's a close defense weapon where you may be in a garrison situation. Even there, practice, practice, practice. The reason that these individuals had difficulty, you know, again, they're on their, they're on a defense base. They had the advantage of the structure, but they failed completely in the process, didn't they? And blazing away with the gun didn't quite do it. The individual stayed focused, was actually, I'm sure, more than anything, focusing simply not so much on sound, but on the center of the object. working the action as needed bringing it up site to bear shoulder cheek well and let's talk for a minute because you guys the other day I oh I haven't talked to that guy yet so I might keep this one in mind yeah I'm gonna have to do that you guys but there was once a sheriff who heard somebody running up behind them and in the middle of a gunfight turn two shots into the man that was running two shots into his head more on that tomorrow same time same station that's my come to keep everybody in suspenders there, Mark. Oh my goodness, that's why I wear a belt just in case. Oh, wait a minute. Anyway, I tell you what we're going to do. We're almost at the bottom of the hour break here. So what we're going to do, well, we have a little bit of a, we've got little, little weapons Wednesday. Universal spirit here. How does that sound? Here we go. Hey! This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I'm an actress as I have met. Without me, my rifle is useless. Without my rifle, useless. True. Tell me. And before you shoot me. Tell the face of your own. All the rifles. In our hands will prove no joyful. We may ride a good mate's speed. We may know what to turn him after. He forward marks with speed, but you'll learn the backwards, which is faster when you meet our mountain boy. And the leader does start. I do make what little noise you always hit the mark. All the rifles. All the rifles. In our hands will prove no joyful. Alright, a bit of history there. on both events. I will. Now that goes back over to about, you know, the, the, the, and we stress on this hour, the first opponent needs to be dealt with most harshly. Why? Because you're probably going to have to be dealing with another as exemplified earlier here with the three and wounding of another. Now, you know, we can talk about basically the bottom line is you guys, you know, when you hear, you don't hear ready fire, you hear it ready, ready. That's a key component of the whole of what you're trying to do here is careful aim and again from the front of the week and the front of this hour and trying to stress it. Ready? Talbot used to say a slow hit is better than a fast miss. As you pointed out Mark with the infield work, you hand the guy the, you know, tell him to hit the target from the handgun and hit the target while everything else he's trying to do just the target or to the side or underneath. Now there's something to be said for putting a target because many times it will jump back up even out of the dirt. Sometimes if the angle is shallow enough. But it just depends you guys. There's something to be said about shooting low, but unless there's a whole bunch of more enemy behind the target, shoot and hide, just waste bullets. Now again, 500 misses do not constitute one hit. And that's one of the most common mistakes made. is that the guys depending upon who you're facing they may not be that excited about the idea that you don't around downrange most that's most common mistake made in general we're looking at a situation where if you're going to engage the target you can only carry so many rounds of ammunition uh... unlike the video game where you just simply angle the rifle sideways and automatically reloads or the entire ammunition inventory from your big footlock or fourteen miles away appears over the backpack That's not how it works in real life. For that reason, we want to make sure that for all of you out there that are thinking about perhaps engaging in this particular area of expertise or developing that area of expertise and then bringing it to the battlefield, you better make sure that you have a good understanding of specific basics that are going to keep you alive. That's what we're interested in. Again, I've heard all kinds of arguments back and forth the army in the army bought by the way most people seem to forget this and i remember it like yesterday when the uh... policy change what from firing from the hip which had been adapted actually with adopted in vietnam and they went back to and focused on rifle marksmanship and uh... that was because they found out that yep that little in sixteen was fantastic for real put a whole lot of ammunition uh... downrange but the problem is if it wasn't uh... hitting anything uh... it wasn't necessarily scary aggressor that was experienced on the battlefield understood uh... you know small arms performance guys Which is exactly the case. The Vietnamese were not ignorant of, they kind of had grown up in the art of war, lived the art of war. So a very different world for them. Something a lot of people seem to have a difficult time with. I heard a beep, I think we have a caller. Mark, before we bring up our caller, I have to stand down. Okie doke, be careful. Don. Don. Don. The question is for you. The trivia. Ok, what do you got? i recognize that point okay the trivia question whose birthday is it today on the stand or gee gee okay here's the hand he was known for fast cars and fast women a lot of exotic weapon over there but i know a lot of people like that i prefer team in his role starring at co-sponsor with kevin cochner and the untouchable or shane konnung i'm sorry for today shaun connery okay eighty years old eighty years old today to be a help but you can't not as good as it once was but i'll put you good one for the year before couldn't have not a better day dot thanks shaun for all the memories you're right there's an action hero In fact, there's a reporter out there that came up with the story. The reporter just says, hey Sean, how about doing another James Bonadati? One of my favorite quotes from him comes from the gangster movie out of Chicago when he says, they hit your men with a club, you hit your men with a knife, you send one of your's to the hospital, you send one of their's to the morgue, what are you prepared to And in that movie they sent him to the morgue. I got to go. Thank you. Appreciate it. That's all I had, Don. Thank you. Thanks, Mark. Very good. Bye. And again, be careful on the road. We'll see you at 8 o'clock. Or sooner, perhaps. I can't tell you that for certain, but if I can I'll be back. You know, the other half is kind of thank you. and oh by the way before going further for those you don't know uh... i just wanted to check in yep sure enough somebody sending email on this and of all things not exactly critical tissue survival guys but uh... classic arms dot u s classic arms dot u s has of all things that's right they have red rider bb guns in fact how badly do you need a davey red writer bb gun just ask wealthy Remember Ralphie from the Christmas story? Well, yep, they've got him out and pictured here in the little ad they've done for the webpage. But this is the Red Rider classic you didn't get back in the day because this includes 750 BBs and a 10 shooting glasses. You didn't get shooting glasses with a Red Rider back in the 50s. target fun pack lots of targets mobile mike in baseball target the balloon target center of mass the bullseye target i don't think so what are your figures read writer is not going to be shooting at uh... well he was supposed to be shooting at bad guys why wouldn't there be so what they should be you know so the target of banditos you've nothing else for ages 10 years or older and of course this is never on the original red rider warning big purple red warning warning for ages 10 years or older not a toy strange that's what he used to be rated as used to be considered a toy back in the day what the heck anyway red rider bb guns well there are a few things that they do have here one of the reasons i went over to classic is check on that and trying to find it was a question about whether or not they have sufficient magazines and the 762x39. I know they got a bunch of them. Oh yes, they do, certainly. And they do have 40 rounders right now too, by the way. Apparently, by the way, they have many of them piled up. The pictures, of course, are deceptive because that could be an old picture. But if you need AK47 40 round mags, there is a solution. There's a direction to move in. so we'll see what we can do there and that's a seven six two by thirty nine they are the standard uh... he who made these i think a chance to check on the on the spot check this is the other thing was asked about the problem is magazines amazing coaches not magazines the magazine pouches for these particular forty round mags steel and they look to be probably Bulgarian. Well, it says Eastern Block Steel Surplus. Okay, 30 rounders and does not give me a confirmation steel Eastern Block again. And they're $20 apiece for the 40 rounders. Now, the 40 rounders were actually built, not for just the standard AK, they were built for the Squad Automatic Rifleman to be used with the RPK. However, if you're looking for one night you don't have to carry a whole bunch of forty rounders in fact the thirty runners are much much cheaper in your that's pretty much the limit you want to be but if you want what we call a patrolling making you have a few extra rounds in the weapon uh... the forty round makes could be used in lieu of the fact that you may not be able to afford a drum at least one forty round mag is designed while you are traveling Not during overwatch or bounding overwatch or luis stuitz, you leave the same mag in there. But especially for traveling, everybody is either carrying their weapon with drum or with the largest stick mag they have available in the weapon ready to use. The reason is that during traveling you're not expecting contact, but as we know even though you're not expecting contact, you should assume the possibility of contact at any given time. So our policy is if you've got a 75 or 100 round drum, it goes in the weapon. If you have a large 40 round magazine or whatever, that goes in the weapon. And the 40 round is about as big as you want to go with the AK as far as the stick mags go. Remember, the Russians, if they could have built it bigger, they probably would have built it bigger. But they didn't. They stuck with the 40-rounders as the max and the straight line in a staggered magazine. And then from there, they went to the 75-round drums that they were very popular and very commonly available from Bulgaria, East Germany, etc. when the time came for the last several years. The 40-rounder mags are unique in size. There were some East German and there were a handful of Bulgarian 40-round mag pouches, 40-round mag pouches, that came in. The East German ones dried up first. They were in the raindrop pattern, the East German raindrop pattern, the Bulgarian. are in the green or a matte green color that you're pretty familiar with in canvas. They even made some that were in the plasticized canvas that was very common in Eastern Europe and countries for about 1958 to 56 on through to about 1970. There were a bunch of those made for tropical purposes. Dry and needle, of course, compensate for extreme weather conditions and to survive extreme moisture environment. So, that was their solution. We went with nylon webbing. They went with plasticized canvas. And even the West Germany experiment of that idea too with regard to the magazine pouches. Now, other than that, there are a few other packages that are available through classicarms.us. But one of the other things I wanted to confirm, and they still have them as far as I can see them, trying to find the serial number for everybody there, because there were some questions in some of the e-mails will open up over the last couple of days and it has to be a real uh... ut g nine seventy three side rail eight k scope mount now this is going to test to pick a tiny rails built into a group and a left side pick a tiny rail so it gives you two options for mounting now the consideration with this is for instance for use with night vision equipment We may not want to run around and beat our night vision gear on the rifle all day, so one of the options is to actually have the rail fixture. In this case, most of the AKs have a standard Eastern European rail fixture on the side of the rifle nowadays. Cost per unit on these, which is the UTG 973 side rail AK scope mount. item number MTK-75. That's MTK-75 and it's $29.95. You know, $30. Okay, let's eliminate the nickel factor. I hate that. Anyway, it's $30 for that particular fixture and if you don't have it, then here's a solution. It's not as expensive. There are some that are as high as $50, $60. I understand that. You make a choice, you decide. But this is an economical solution where you work well enough for what kind of application we're talking about. We need to get the night vision device up and on the rifle. And this gives you two options for mounting optics and illumination. So separate from everything else that you got where you may have some foregrip system on the weapon or barrel mounted system on the weapon, etc. etc. We know that is. This is, again, a reasonable price, $30 for the system itself. and then you have the rest of the goodies now they do have for instance various conventional scope they do have uh... third generation weaver rings uh... acu shot medium profile so these are you know the utility grade their ten dollars a pair They have a Tascos scope available for about $40, which isn't bad. There are a number of different options, one, two, three, right in a row. The big thing is the fixture itself. You may have any number of combinations of places where you want to go to. Of course, Don Betcher has night vision. You can ask him questions about mounting the equipment because there are things that can be improvised on top of everything else. But for the AK, if at all possible, if you're purchasing the AK, you know I've mentioned this many times, it's Weapons Wednesday guys, we've done this on many other Weapons Wednesdays or whenever the question has come up, try to buy the rifle with the side rail. Now, if your rifle doesn't have the side rail, unless it's some form of unique collector's item, in other words, the Valme rifles, I wouldn't be chopping on those because You could take one velma rifle and if you don't want to keep it, then you could sell it and buy a whole lot of other AKs and burn them out and burn them out and burn them out. We still probably have a lot of AKs left laying around. So, I mean, for the price of what you're going to sell that velma for. But any other AK, if at all possible, their field grade, they're supposed to be combat grade implements. Number one, the rail fixture on the side of the weapon. Two, if at all possible, switch over to the AK-74 type compensator. Very critical, does a good job of distributing the flash a little bit, but also is truly an effective compensator. The Russians have experimented over many, many, many years, and the 74-type configured compensator was the one that they went with for a reason. It works. Doesn't mean they couldn't have gone to others. There were at least three other types of compensator flash hiders in service separate from just the little cuts-type angled compensator that's standard on most AKs. So, consider, they did look at other options, they looked at the machining processes, they always consider cost. And the 74 type flash header works exceptionally well. You can buy a standard 30 caliber variant that will go on your AK. Most of the models that are out there have the threaded barrel. There are a bunch of different Romanian and Bulgarian rifles that have come in that have the chrome bore and have a new barrel, which is really cool. So you can shop around for this. Classic Arms has a lot of AK variants, so I'm not even going to go over that today. There's no need. But if you're looking for more, this is a real simple connect. You go to www.classicarms.us. classicarms.us.com but uh... there are certain pictures you may not be able to access i have not seen a variation on this that means that i could be wrong you can get me to the microphone if that's the case that's why i pointed out this particular system at something that is available m t k seventy five and that's twenty nine ninety five you know right you know thirty dollars if you want to give a call to find if they still have that available because just because of the picture in on the web page doesn't mean they have it in stock you and i both know that everybody out there listening phone number 704-684-0650 that's 704-684-0650 704-684-0650 and then we'll go from there. Anyway, the other thing is, oh that's right, we wanted to make sure we touched on Maine military also because there are a few things that are interesting this week. Remember when you go to the main military, don't forget to check the LTR specials. If you look over on the, when you click over to main military, you'll see the states that are at the top left corner. Scroll down on that side and you'll see LTR specials, which is really cool. So when you go to LTR specials, Then you'll find all the goodies that are posted there that are part of the special listing. And note the prices. Now a lot of you are looking for Woodland Moly Gear. That's been another question. Well, I'll tell you what. They've got some excellent prices on the Woodland Moly grenade pouches, which can also be used for a lot of things. Other than grenades guys or utility pouches, they can be stuck in a lot of odd corners on the vest. and of course the air fifteen double mag pouches which are standard but in this case you have to shop around after looking for woodland and match up your woodland there's a direction you go also alice pack uh... there's been a lot of question you'll notice we covered alice packs i think extensively enough that everybody has pretty good understanding of them in the quipping one and two on in the equipping to uh... we sat down give you a few pointers about little special techniques and tricks that can be used for the or for how to carry things on the alice pack We'll probably even do a primer that's going to be more extensive still. It will be coming up pretty soon. We've got videos. Apparently we're still doing problem loading to our Uflick and our YouTube page. So we'll find out more next year or two about how that's going to go. other editing technician has confirmed that something you know is odd going out about that so would be surprised to come just kind of blocked make sure we don't put any more up for that we can't put up doesn't mean they're blocking it would disapprove it's just not being made accessible gee you were surprised so we'll find out more but uh... we're patient and that we may be delivering the videos in another way here pretty soon since we're certain pile them up we've got quite a few finished so we'll see what happens there but uh... again Main military, if you want to call to find out what they have available, if you're trying to put Molly combat kits together for your own troops, for the people that you have, or if you're wanting to send gifts down to our allies down there in the southwestern part of the U.S., 877-606-080179, 877-606-080179, that's 877-608-0179. seven nine main military dot com m a i n e main military dot com so anyway uh... well to come up the roster here well checking with domain by the way and in magazine especially for rifles guys uh... one of the other things that we were looking at uh... lasted there to hear were specialized mags now Interestingly enough, with regard to the high point, a lot of questions. Apparently, still your best choice as far as making contact or trying to expand your inventory of mags, high point itself apparently is doing a pretty good job of providing what we need. But there are little caches of magazines here and there around the country. And I bring this up because main military has the high point carbonyl and pistol mags 45 ACP and 40 caliber. I don't think they have the mag in 45 ACP yet, but if somebody has seen that, please let me know. But they have the 9s, the 45s and the 40 caliber mags for the high point pistols along with the 380. Now the 380s are not as popular because of availability of ammunition in general, but you still have some 380s out there guys you've already bought, so rather than having to guess, uh... yep there are resources available through the site and humane military of course specifically if you shop around you may want to give them a call see what they have left in inventory keyword is left just because they say they have a time care who it is that doesn't mean that the picture you know or the image has been upgraded with a sold out sticker across the be across the image that sometimes doesn't happen going to have to call and check no matter who you're dealing with in the internet. In pistol category there are also a bunch of other unique mags that are available through main military. Yes, they even have Kel-Tec mags, guys. So if you've got one of those Kel-Tec P32s or P11s, Then, they've got Kel-Tec mags on site, and they do have a bunch of the Ruger mags too, but you have to call to see what's in inventory for the moment. Hell, even have H and K mags. Ooh, my goodness. You know, prices, all that stuff usually. So, solutions, not just lamenting about the problems. MaineMilitary.com, M-A-I-N-E, MaineMilitary.com, 877-608-0179 is the phone number. Next. and i don't think they're getting more in right away we did check with uh... uh... aim surplus i get the dot in there dot com now they did have a very nice for four ninety five you know it's five dollars or six dollars apiece depending upon who it is that uh... you're now they should say depending on how many of i would have it so anyway come on and i'm trying to get this for you for you and for three things at once here There we go. Maybe we got it right this time. We'll see. There we are. Now, magazines. And this is something we found out they had sold out of already. We're going to check and see if they have replaced the inventory. Nope. They've taken the item right off the list. That's what I wanted to see. That confirms that they probably are not going to be able to restock on that item, but they did have $5 a piece. AK mags from Bulgaria. They were plastic. Not the fanciest, but more than serviceable enough. Everybody that bought them is very happy with them. and uh... they still have and this is for those of you who are looking at building up that baby dragon off uh... a k forty seven variant if you're going to send sixty by thirty nine rpk barrel svd sniper type stock uh... side rail built into the a k receiver as we know well you also want to bring the weapon down lower now you can drop down to a five or ten round mag there were a bunch of five round mags out there but Hungarian twenty round steel seven sixty by thirty nine magazine These are very tight. It's one thing I will stress about these things. They're very clean. They're virtually new for all practical purposes. You can't get any nicer than these. If you buy three, you get a magazine pouch with them. Wow. You get a mag pouch for the proper length of magazine. Oh, that's right. They're only 20 rounders. They're not 30 rounders. And you don't want to have to scavenge around and dig down inside the pouch. So these 20 rounders are pretty decent. They'll bring the weapon down lower and closer to the ground, which is what you want. If you want to eliminate part of that silhouette without having to strain to bring the weapon, you know, sight into a proper alignment along with your body. The 20 rounders make a big difference. So consider that as an option. Again, you don't have to buy 100 of them. It'd be nice just to have a few of these in hand and even on the web gear, you can buy these if you buy three at a time. You get a mag pouch with them so you don't have to figure out what to put them in. You may again want to consider purchasing more than three. They don't see a quantity price, but you should call to find out, hey, what's the cutoff? If I buy more, how many do I need to buy to get a better price? Always ask. The worst they're going to say is, oh, we're not going to give you a cut. Or, well, it might be a little higher than you can expect numbers-wise. OK? So we anticipate that too. We expect that. Again, if you want to find out about these 20 rounders, 888-748-5252. That's 888-748-5252. That's 888-748-5252. Anyway, I'll give you another solution. Again, solutions are not just lamenting about the problems, though, I'm telling you. This is always the case, by the way. Then we do a look at what kind of handguns do they have. Well, the list is getting shorter for AIM surplus, just like all these other companies. And while they will say this, they do have, but it looks to be a couple of them. Well, at least one good 45 on the shelf. They've got a 45-22 long rifle. A German sport gun. You know, those are very popular right now. The .22 caliber look-alikes that they are being brought in from Europe. These things were available years ago, but they just weren't coming into the country. Well, there's a window where they have come in. Probably going to be stopped now. Good trainers give you an opportunity to basically train with the same weapon you're going to be carrying, but in a light caliber, so you're not burning your wallet up while you're busy training with a weapon. This is critical. You still get all the key response issues that have to be applied. You're going to have to work proper side alignment, control the weapon. When you pull the trigger, you have a bullet going down range. If you don't print the target right, you fail. It's that simple. So it's point and click, but you've got to do it right. so this is a chance for it actually have a decent training weapon to cross reference with most your firearms you're going to be using there are twenty two caliber eight days twenty two caliber mp five's twenty two caliber air fifteen's and there's both uh... forty five and several others to include the baredo's and i think they've got a twenty two block knockoff and they've got a twenty two h k knockoff it's pretty decent actually pretty very good you can't tell them and secure looking straight out of it Hey, that sucker's not quite nine millimeter. I wonder what it is Well, you don't want to find out by having somebody pull the trigger either So the weapon actually works as a you know defensive system But it's a cross trainer and allows you to work with other weapons in the long run now Other than that doing one more check with a nothing. It really is jumping out at us But there are some pretty decent buys out there still on the moist and they got rifles. They're creeping a little bit price-wise that's not surprising anyway i just want to get that out before we get to the top of the our here uh... they do have some uh... five four five by thirty nine and seven six two by thirty nine uh... at aim surplus along with the mate no leader in the server folks guys i think we've been buying up there are there other ammo to the point where not come out of the circle on that god bless the republic death of the new world order we shall prevail ladies and gentlemen empire is on the run or on the mark will be back in about on Liberty Tree Radio. It's easier to find than my birth certificate. I had a dream the other night that, well, I didn't understand. A figure walked in through the mist with a flintlock in his hand. His clothes were torn and dirty as he stood there by my bed. He took off his three cornered hat and speaking low to me he said, we've fought a revolution to secure our liberty. We wrote the Constitution as a shield from tyranny. For future generations this legacy we gave. In this the land of the free and home of the brave. The freedoms we secured for you we hoped you'd always keep. The tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep. Your freedom's gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave. In this, the land of the free and home of the brave. You buy permits to travel and permits to own a gun. Permits to start a business or to build a place for one. On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent. Although you have no voice in saying how the money's spent, your children must attend a school that doesn't educate, and your Christian values can't be taught according to the state. You read about the current news in a regulated press, and you pay a tax you do not owe to please the IRS. Your money is no longer made of silver nor of gold. You trade your wealth for paper so your life can be controlled. You pay for crimes that make our nation turn from God and shame. You've taken Satan's number. You've traded in your name. You've given government control to those who do you harm so they could burn down churches and seize the family farm. And keep our country deep in debt. Put men of God in jail. Harash your fellow countrymen while corrupted courts prevail. Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oaths they've sworn. And your daughters visit doctors.
